"Losing to the Braves starting pitching matchup in this one. Adrian Hauser on the mound for the crew. Drew Smyly going for Atlanta would be the Brewers, who would strike first in the bottom of the second inning. Avisail Garcia leave the inning off with a double A Travis Shaw ground out moves Garcia to third. And that brings up Louise Aureus. Now the pitch swinging a bullet hit after global Dansby Swanson in the left field on Gloria's will get the runner home sound. They score that one. I think it's gonna be in areas should have caught it. At least for now. That's being ruled a base hit. Although Dansby Swanson would commit an air later on in the inning, But the Brewers weren't able to take advantage of it. They get the one run on two hits. They strand two runners there in the second and say one. Nothing game going into the third. This was a neighboring houses would start to a run into a little bit of trouble. Very angry and so would lead the inning. Awful. They walked and Freddie Freeman with line out a wild pitch from Hauser would send Adrian's a two second. Then they walked to Marcela Zuna that puts runners on at 1st and 2nd. Ozzy al Bees, then lines out. But then Dansby Swanson walks so that loads the bases for Austin Reilly swinging a bouncer off of Hauser. Deflection. Maria's can't get it. One run is in house is going to come in. Ozuna scores to make it a 21 Atlanta lead It deflected off of Hauser. Horace was going over to get it and he might have had a chance to get it if it doesn't hit Hauser That would push wants into third than William Contreras is hit by a pitch so multiple walks a hit batter there in the inning. Hauser would get out of it with a strikeout to enter and see our days. The Braves leave him loaded. They put do put two runs across there in the third, and it is a 21 game. That would be it for

"Which saw the club go to for 31 with those, said runners in scoring position. Craig Counsell says the Cardinals weren't any better, but they came away with a series win. This is the game of baseball. This is not a game baseball works. I think they were one for 12 or one for 13 with runners in scoring position, So it's it's the team that gets the hits and runners in scoring position it, Zay. You score runs. We're in a rut with it. We're just not getting it, not getting it done in those spots right now. It'll be Adrian Hauser on the hill tonight against Jews, Smiley and the Braves. Atlanta M V P candidate Ronald Look. Junior Junior left yesterday's game with an ankle injury. X rays were negative, so that's good, and we'll just B Day today we'll see how he is. If the Bucks win out, they'll need a loss from Brooklyn to secure that second spot in the East Brook Lopez likes. Where's team is that at this point in the season everything it's It's just, you know, I think Continued progression throughout the whole season of getting used to having a dunker getting used to his new positions and slightly different offense. Everything like the first of those last two games is tomorrow night against the Miami Heat at Pfizer Forum. Aaron Rodgers watch 2021 continues. ESPN is Dan Graziano says This is typical for the Packers Packers are very set in their ways as an organization and They have a history of this. Reggie White finished his career elsewhere bred far finished his career elsewhere. These air legendary Hall of Fame caliber players with the Packers that the organization decided at some point. They don't fit here any more. We have a long term plan to me, that's yet another take. That sounds interesting, but really contains little substance. I'm still confident Aaron Rodgers will pay for the play for the Packers this season. Heard a lot of percentages tossed out by some of our teammates and some other colleagues. So I might as well toss mine in the ring. I'm 85% that he always for the next year. That's too big a percentage. So yeah, that's a big percentage. I just do not see a way that they trade him. They have no motivation to he might not play, though True, he's he's made it clear he doesn't want to be here. I hope that changes. I'm more confident he'll change his mind than anything. S O. We listen to a press conference earlier today with coach Matt LeFlore extremely disappointing. There were, I don't know. Let's pick a round number 10 questions as to the coach. There were two that focus on Aaron Rodgers. Seven that focused on Blake Bortles. How are you not asking the coach questions specific questions like Have you spoken to Aaron Rodgers? That question was not as here's the trouble. If you're beat writer you have a story to write. And if Matt look Floren Gouda concert, just going to continue to say, Look, I don't have an update for you. And there's nothing new. You still have to write a story. You can't keep going back to your editor saying, Yeah, I don't have a quote from the Packers. You asked the question. Have you spoken to Aaron Rodgers? The answer to that question is a story one way or the other house. That question not asked. And I respect a lot of guys to cover the Packers. I just don't get it. Let's go. "Get after it on the mound tonight or this afternoon. I should say for the Brewers Adrian Hauser, Sonny Gray getting the start for the Reds. First scoring would come in the top of the second inning. As Curt Casali comes to the plate bouncer hit wide of third, a diving stab and it's gonna wind up in left field throw coming on, and the Reds have the lead. Yeah, that was after a walk to Freddy Galvis and Jose Garcia base it so that made it a one. Nothing game. The Reds they would add to their lead against Adrian Hauser in the third inning. It starts would Nick cost ya knows her ball hit in the air to center, Garcia drifting back still back onto the warning track, and he's running out of room. It's off the scoreboard in a home run. Fornek Castano's Got a curveball from Adrian Hauser, and he didn't miss it. He did not. And then the next hitter to come up to the plate would do his best. Nick cost Janos impression When Jesse Winker standing it Winker fly ball to left, that's well struck, yelling back onto the track, and he will leap It's gone. Back to back home runs for the Cincinnati Reds. First, Castano's and now Jessi Winker. It's three nothing Reds. Three. Nothing as we go to the bottom of the third brewers would come up empty in the bottom of the third would remain three. Nothing all the way through at the top of the fifth, Castano's back at the plate in the fifth inning. He leads the inning off with a double and that ends the day for Adrian Hauser incomes Alex Claudio to face off against Jesse, weaker to to hit in the air left center. Back is yell, Ich still back Warning track. It's gone again. For Jesse Winker, a two run shot. His second of the day. Yeah, The combination of cost Janos and Winker was something special in this one for the Reds to run home Run makes it a five. Nothing game. Hauser would get out of the inning. After the excuse me. Claudio would get out of the inning after that. J P Fire, Ison would come into a pitch the sixth for the Brewers, He would issue walks to Jose Garcia and Curt Casali. So runners on and 1st and 2nd. They would move to third on air. I should say specifically, Garcia would move to third on a fly out and then cost Janos. We keep saying their names. Nick Castano's would come up to the plate. He would hit a sacrifice fly. Garcia would score and that would make it a six. Nothing game to the bottom of the sixth and the Brewers that they would get on the board new pitcher into the game. Is Nate Jones or placing Sonny Gray, who had a really nice day. First batter that JM Jones faces is Justin Smoak. He strikes out, then bend gamble strikes out. So very quickly. Two outs in the inning, and it brings up Omar Tobias. Here's a swing.

"And a fly ball to right. Get up. Get out of here and gone for Omar, nor violence and gone for Christy Miller. 150 bucks. Christiano homerun by Omar are wires that got out of here and write talking about catchers. But Rodriguez, we got Omar wise here and he just went yard. Orlando RC would get a base hit, and that would prompt the Reds to make a pitching change. Nate Jones gets the first two batters that he faces then gives up a homerun and a single on his day is over. Jesse Biddle then comes on and he's able to get out of the inning and that 61 score that we had through six would end up being the final score. In this contest. There was a pitching change for the Reds in the seventh when Robert Stevenson came in to get the final couple outs he was able to do self and the Brewers fall short in this game by a 61 score. Cincinnati with Wayne improved to 12 and 17, while the Brewers they dropped to 13 and 16 winning totals for Cincinnati. Six runs. 12 hits, no Heirs, and they leave at seven for the Brewers. One run seven hits, No airs, They end up leaving nine. The winning pitcher is Sonny Gray. He improves 25 and one he was pretty good. Five shutout innings drops his e R. A tow 1.9 for Adrian Hauser takes the loss as he falls to one and three home runs in the contest cost Ya know his 10th that winker, his 7th and 8th nor VIAS for the Brewers. "To take you through this rain delay. There might be some light at the end of the tunnel is being reported that the Brewers and pirates are expected to resume at 8 15 central time, So we're about 20 minutes out from baseball. If the reports are correct, we're going to check back in with Jeff Lovering and laying Grendel here in about seven minutes as they'll get us updated on everything and tell us if that is indeed the case again. The way I see the radar in again what I'm what I'm just basically seen here is that rain is going Tio. Completely stop around the top of the hour, and there's going to be a window there for a little while And then there's going to be light rain coming and going through the course of the evening, So the big thing is finding a way to get the game started when there's no rain and then hopefully the rain does not intensify through the night. That they are able to continue to a play through and at least get the five innings and write but more, preferably find away to a play all nine. I'm doubtful I could be wrong on this. I'm doubtful. That we see either starting pitcher return. At this point. This delay is over and our old one hour and 1/2 of what was about 6 30 when when things first got delayed, And so I would just think Having it's going to be not quite two hours. Once they get things back having a picture come back, even though Adrian Hauser is only thrown 13 pitches Now what that does do for you is Hauser probably doesn't have Teo wait four full days to pitch again. So if they want Move him up in the or give everybody else kind of a day off. You've got an opportunity Teo to do that, But I'm doubtful that we'll see a dream Hauser or Stephen Brawl return And this is one area where having a 30 man roster certainly does help a bit because you can Maury's Aly deal with losing a starting pitcher early on. Where you have Tio, go to the bullpen.

Get the win in Houston, Sean working hard back at the station because I am a blues fan will lower Brannigan and Gloria if you're not familiar with that, that's the that's the song that the blues play in their locker room after wins and they won the Stanley Cup tonight. Who's hot mic new? Stock says my goodness is he seeing the ball. Well, right now two for five with a run scored two RBI's. He hits the home run there in the fourteenth inning that ends up being the difference in the game. It is his twenty first home run. He is really really playing well who's not Houston. Hitters the brewers and the Astros. Just play fourteen innings, how many hits did Houston come up with five five, total hits four. The Astros brand would drift gives up four of those hits and Adrian Hauser gives up one of the head one of the hits, I should say Alex Claudio Jeremy Jeffers, Josh hater junior Garib, they combined for all, but nine innings of this game, and they don't give up a single hit so Astros hitters or really stymied today who's who's not. "His location was a little off today. There was more balls towards the middle of the plates. But it was not like ball is being hit hard. It was just awesome contact if found holes and, you know, like I said, we gave them the four the one ending, and that was kind of, you know, what really costs them? There was a potential double play. That was not turned behind Brandon Woodruff in the third inning that. Would have ended the NATO instead the pirates ended up scoring four runs Woodruff not alone and giving up runs junior gear. Jeremy Jeffers, Josh hater all end up giving up runs haters charged with his first blown save of the year. But Matt Albers throws two scoreless innings and Adrian Hauser throws two scoreless innings as he's able to pick up the win and he improved to one and one that is his first career major league win brewers and the pirates wrap up the series this afternoon. "Here's Matt hallway the bucks just one win away from advancing to the Eastern Conference final. They're up three one against the Celtics after the one thirteen one zero one win yesterday in great shape. A lot of bucks fans feel very good about what's going to happen next. But head coach Mike Boone holders quick to remind. Why likes for the team is at they haven't accomplished anything yet the way the team played during the regular season. And now is play to this point in the playoffs is encouraging. But you know, there's still a lot to be done. We all believe this is a special group, and we're just really focused on the next game. And you know, the macho we just get better every day we get better from game to game five that'll give us our best chance, and we'll just keep doing that day by day a win tomorrow, and they do advance. We'll have it for you seven o'clock is when that thing gets going our coverage will begin at six o'clock tomorrow, two games in the NBA tonight. Sixers and the raptors trailblazers and the nuggets each of those. The series are tied at two games apiece. Brewers baseball game they play game two of their series against the nationals this evening a win tonight in the brewers will take the series having won the first two games. Adrian Hauser is going to start. But we are going to see FREDDY Peralta at some point in time and Dallas Geico who a lot of brewers fans want to see wearing a brewers uniform. He tells Yahoo sports he's not assigned for less money. Just because he has not gotten into deal yet. He continues to hold out. He and Craig kimbrel are still out there without deals, but they want to get paid. Wow. Less money is better than no money. But I guess it's all perspective. Paulie will give us some perspective on the Colorado shooting situation. He lived and worked in Colorado where they've had a lot of these. Unfortunately, a met will do that coming up here in about twenty minutes. It is four sixteen the latest as we know it on the ground in Colorado..

"They don't play anywhere else. Polit will play again after this until late September. Adrian Hauser is pitching the brewers. They're scrambling. Of course, the try to come up with any semblance of starting pitching. Good. I think most people would agree with me that the big problem that brewers faces their starting pitching is. I would say that rotation is one of the worst than all the major league baseball right now. The upside they have is they've got a lot of potential that guys grow into the role, and maybe Gooby very good at it would've could still be very good at it. Maybe Corbin burns can still be a starting pitcher chase Anderson. Look very good when he won on Saturday night. But their starting pitching is cobbled together. TI peeve of a bunch of young guys. Guys trying to stretch out at the set of the other thing who's Adrian Hauser. He actually pitched last year. He was up he pitched seven games last year. They're very good year is one of the guys they were calling up. He pitched out of the bullpen then. But he has been a slider starter in the minor leagues. He's no spring chicken. This is eighth year in professional baseball, maybe night. He was one of the guys that brewers God in that incredible trade we pulled off in which we stole. Josh hater Carlos Gomez. And Michael fires were sent to Houston in the brewers. Got a whole bunch of guys including Brett Phillips was traded and turned into another guy Domingo's Santana who was traded to Seattle and turned into. Gamble. And we got Josh hater out of that deal. And Houser was there as well. It's probably unless he pitches. Well, a one time only start, but he'd be sent down after the game if he pitches. Well. Given as bad as the brewers starting pitcher because Ben he'll get another chance to Jordan get his minor league. Career is up and down the problem that they've had in evaluating their minor league pitchers though. Until now that they finally got out of that toilet and Colorado Springs is there. Aaa franchise was in a hitters ballpark in Colorado Springs every pitcher gets Sheldon, Colorado Springs. See it ever could tell how good a guy really is. Well, now, they're in San Antonio with AAA T, then I think that will help quite a bit. So anyway, that's what's going on with the brewers tonight. I alluded to this story a little bit earlier trying to figure out where Tony just coming from Foxconn. It's impossible. When he ran for governor Ebert said he opposed the Foxconn deal, but he said he wasn't going to elect a governor kill it. Then he comes as governor and says he wants to renegotiate the deal FOX never gonna create this many jobs, Republican supporters of the Foxconn deal say if they don't create the jobs are supposed to they aren't going to get money. And if they create only some jobs, they're going to get fire less money than the money. That was in the thing. It's a perfect plan. They get paid for what they do as, you know, the Democrats have hated the Foxconn thing from the beginning. So no Everts comes out today and talks out of the other side of his mouth and says I want to lower the hiring goals for FOX God. In other words, he wants to make give them money if they don't meet their goals. I have no clue as to where he's coming from. Suddenly now Everts thinks the Foxconn deal is to weighted against Foxconn that he wants the lower the hiring goals for them. I just don't get why you wouldn't leave well enough alone. Here. I mean, five gun may well jump at this. You're going to give us money. If we hire a lot less than thirteen thousand. Yeah. We'll take that. They're twenty. Figuring out where he and the Democrats are coming from the whole Foxconn issue as I said been almost impossible, then there's the. Belief. I have that Iverson is not is barely the governor. It is being tugged into directions. He's got the Madison lefties around him that just want this to be anti-business state. Then he's got the pragmatists around him. Some of the people involved in the unions. And so on who want to create a lot of jobs. Remember, you got the operating engineers the group that horrid itself out for Tony. They're going to be doing a lot of the construction work. That's going to occur on major projects should Foxconn. Do anything beg- this shoving of and the other direction, and they're safe for crying out loud? Twenty. We got you know, you can't take us back to the stone age of anti-business, you're elected here because of the support of a lot of private union members and private union members work for private businesses. So maybe Everett's comes out and trashes the FOX deal last week now is getting it from the other side and suddenly things out of the other side of his mouth because Iverson self has no clue on any of these things. He just going to be pushed back and forth like a ping pong ball. So maybe this is just ping pong ball policy. I what I think they ought to do with the facts deal is leave it alone. If facts comes nowhere near thirteen thousand jobs, they come nowhere near the incentives that they could have gotten. There's no reason to mess with the thing. Reopening the contract, however, gives FOX on the altar option of bailing out of Europe. The contract is up, and I don't see any point in doing that. But that would be in that I'm trying to analyze Iverson's is coming from on the basis of some logic. And. What I say I can't make heads or tails out of his policy. I really can't tell where he's coming from this. Let me get to the car chase skit problem in Milwaukee. We had another fatality after charge ace in Milwaukee over the weekend in this case. It was the person being chased. It's the third crash in ten days from one of these chases initially. There were indications that a lot of people were still running because they were not aware of the new policy in place in Milwaukee where we do, but we're reverse the policy of the former police chief, and we are now pursuing individuals who run that some people were running because they thought it was still the bad old days where we didn't chase. But the city is doing everything they even have billboards up saying, look if you run we're going to chase you, but they're still running. Why are they still reading? Well, I think they think they can get away. And I think they think even if the caught nobody's going to do anything to them. And that's the real part of the problem. Unless these chases and with a terrible crash. The people who run never really have anything doing done to them just for running. Let's suppose you're running because you got to warrants, and you've got drugs and gun in a car. Whatever they do to you. If you didn't run it's going to be about the same as if you're dead run. You're going to be nailed for the warrants, and you've got the guns and drugs in the car. You never get an additional five years because your ad so they figure it's a no lose run. Nobody runs if they have nothing to hide everybody that's running as running because something illegal is going on with their vehicle, and they just figure that the downside of running as lasts. Then pulling over and knowing I have no chance because they're going to catch me with all the goods. The worst thing that the city could do is stop chasing again. Because when you don't chase everyone Rudd's, even if they're not being chased you still have to run for those fierce, you blocks that you're not being changed. What needs to happen? And I have no optimism that it will happen because both parties in the state of Wisconsin. Art nowhere on this. We have got to stop. This though should've saying that we are going to come up with alternatives to incarceration for non violent crimes. Fleeing officer is a non violent crime, we've got to make the punishment harsher just for running. So that people are terrified of writing knowing that if they run for certain they're going to prison without regard to anything else they've done. The cost of leniency. And as you know, a lot of Republicans are falling into this leniency trap. You even have some of the Republicans jumping on the insane expunged bandwagon. Including some who want to know better. I thought Andre Jacques is one of the smarter. Republicans in the state Senate one of the committee conservatives that we now find out he's one of the wipe out the record and pretend that a criminal is not a criminal. And what are the point that? I'd like to add an I'd hold expunged thing. Because people who are in favor of things like expunge don't think things through. They think about the one step, and they never figured think about the Domino's. I think well, there are a lot of people especially African Americans who have criminal records, and if we expunge some of the criminal records, then they'll be able to get jobs, and that's a good thing, not a bad thing. And they'll say that to be Burke, don't you want people who are trying to get back on their feet to get jobs as if it were that simple. Here's the thing about this though. And put yourself at the other guy's shoes. Imagine you're an employer. And unlike today where you have no options, and if the person can breathe you're going to hire them you have a few options. But you check the person's criminal record. Even though you're not supposed to you find that. He's got a criminal record oil. You don't hire him. So now, let's suppose they expunge it. So it's not on there. And some of what to expunge first offense drunk driving. It's expunged. Now, the player knows that a lot of this stuff has been expunged checking the criminal record isn't going to help them. What do you think they do as a result? I think they're less likely to hire black people because they figured that. There may be a greater chance that an African American person is one of those people that have the record expunged. So who have you helped you've helped know what? But you've created a new level of discrimination in which individuals who do not have a criminal record and didn't have anything expunged lumped into the same group. And like, I said, there are a lot of Republicans that have drank the expunged Kool-Aid who ought to know better. Berta darling is drinking the Kool aid Audrey Jacques drinking. It just about every Republican to the state assembly is doing it. And it is a terrible terrible. Terrible idea. We live at a public society. If you do something wrong people have a right to know that you did something wrong. If you've turned your life around let that be record in and of itself, but to say that this isn't going to follow you around for the rest of your life. And pretend that it never happened creates all sorts of other consequences and at its core. There is a naval Tae out there with regard to people and their assessment of so many of these criminals that have a long record of so called nonviolent offenses. We're under the impression that they automatically because they sailed they'll never do it again are going to do it again. It's five forty three. I believe because that's the classes at new do. You think the bucks win tonight?.

"Day and got Josh hater and Domingo Santana and Brett Phillips Adrian Hauser and four guys who. Have gotten to the big leagues. So that one was was was pretty special. I think it paid dividends for the brewers continued to do so great stories ackman Ozzie and with us to listen to the story. It's so important for the giants because there are players here with contracts that will be expiring and big money. But when you look at the brewers, and you just name the names, you name my goodness to come in one trade. I think giant fans are hopeful that this system can develop those kind of players again, and you being the director of player personnel for the giants. You've gotta know everybody in this system as well as everybody in baseball. So can you do it again? Oh, absolutely out of there is zero data my mind. I get chills thinking of it sitting here and is jealous. Giants fans may be of certain trades that I was a part of in Milwaukee. I can certainly say with one hundred percent. That I am more jealous of the three World Series rings. There's a lot of success here. And we're fortunate to have Brian saving around and some of the guys in the front office, Jeremy Shelley, and you're shy Goldfarb better still here that I know I can I can learn from. But as far as, you know, recreating I'm not necessarily looking to recreate the Milwaukee Brewers I want to help create the best version of the San Francisco Giants and put us right back to where. This this franchises been many times before. And there is absolutely no doubt. In my mind. We can do that. If I didn't if I didn't think that I would not be here. So tell us about your job. Just kinda summarize it in my last question. But in your own words, what do you do? So my main responsibility is overseeing the professional scouting department. So those are our scouts that are out seeing major league and minor league teams. So any player in affiliated baseball. I always say, I should know. And most players, you know, by the time, we're done talking to them. I'd like to say, I know their favorite color, so that that is a big part of it. And and the way the way far on express running.
