"Gary Jeff is next and probably Ken brew, Mike, Mike, Mike Allen. At nine. Okay. And then the Bengals game Sunday right here on the big one seven hundred wwl w and Todd Haynes is with us the manager for while Ohio wildlife district five talking about the black bear that was hit and killed Christmas night and recovered the next day. And it's it's the whole thing. Just kind of brings it front and center because you have to think do we have a suitable habitat. More. I guess coming eastern Adams county and from there farther east for a bear to establish a range. What what are they need? And you hear about like New Jersey which has just overrun with bears, and you think of the east coast, and and just people everywhere, and they they're very well established. And there's a fight every year. I guess they even have a bare season because they have to do something about it. So so do we have the suitable range? Got suitable habitat mainly in the eastern part of the state of Ohio, which would be from what Adams pike. Even farther east, you're going along the border, their main counties everything east of Columbus. But really getting close to Pennsylvania, west Virginia's our best habitat since ninety three since nineteen ninety three eighty to ninety five percent of our sightings each year our net during portion of the state. So that's that's where most of the sidings are at what I consider Adams county. I look at pike at sei, Ota, the street counties together, they're all pretty similar in in habitat base. Those counties have suitable habitat for black bears. Range the more we go north, and and we'd lose out on that bowl habitat. So and even sightings when we looked at confirmed sightings confirmed sightings, our definition is basically that's gonna be a camera. The camera photo that's going to be a track that that we identify. That's going to be scat. It's got to be something that is confirmed are sightings in Adams county, two thousand fifteen we have three confirmed sightings and sixteen one and seventeen to I think for two thousand eighteen I don't have everything right? Four probably going to be around that shoot a four reigns of confirmed in Adams county. I know we've had some term sightings this year hike and CEO, two are similar. No, we have down there. Well, in pike county is it's actually pretty rugged. Yeah. So here's what I'm remembering follows. Here's what I'm I'm really bring a letter that went out from the division of wildlife many years ago saying that it was assumed at a certain point that wild turkeys and Ohio were now present everywhere. Suitable habitat existed. Yeah. We weren't even close. I mean there are now there are now turkeys in every county. I believe yes. This was when there were turkeys in about thirty five counties. Todd wasn't even in the division. Probably now. Was there was a western state that with eastern Walter. And I can't remember what state it was that started doing stockings. Yeah. And so I have a few friends that are, you know, pretty liberal. So we just don't talk about it. Right. She had to cut me down one time. And I said something that I liked it regular folger's crystals instead of Starbucks does. She says what did you vote for Trump to? And I said absolutely did. You know, I got kind of a heated discussion. I'm like, you know, who this bigger houses? Do you know what the secretary of state is with you embassador is do you even know who the mayor Aurora is she didn't know? Oh, good. Lord. Don't don't tell me that. I'm stupid because I voted for Trump. I'm telling you you're stupid because you didn't vote for anything. Yeah. I think you're right about that. What did she say when you were asking those questions like, you know, have any kind of response or what? No, no, she's a teacher shot up. Oh, Lord have mercy. Lord have mercy. Yeah. Joe manny. I'd rather stay red and purple state out here. So that kind of a little bit net, purple purple taste your state. So have you talked to your friends about all this stuff? Eric. Sometimes they don't really care. Well, that's good though, because they would cancel out my vote. So just let them just don't talk to him about it just say he keep on caring. Just don't vote if you don't care. That's all so. I'm not gonna vote. That's just undemocratic. I think no. I'm gonna tell them not to vote if they're not informed. I don't feel bad about that. At all. If they're not then stay home like inform yourself and vote. But if you're gonna remain uninformed uninterested, please don't vote because you're gonna cancel it the vote of people who actually care about what's going on here. I appreciate the phone call. Thank you for listening. I gotta make room for seats, Michael Lewis. But right now, Michael excuse me, David Kaelin studio, kind of like on the judgeships no clue. Sure. Okay. All somebody.
