"That this eviction moratorium has has destroyed them. Got an email from a woman who said I have three rental properties that I worked for a very long time to pay for They are my retirement. I am about to lose my home because I can't get these people to pay. And no one is paying. My mortgage is but me and I'm about to be evicted from my own house. Think about that for a second. Everybody likes to think of fat cat landlords so they can absorb a lot of people can't. This is how they make their income. They invested their money, and they bought homes so they can have a steady stream of income. And these people are being shafted, and I don't see how this is possibly constitutional to change real estate law by executive order. I really don't see how this is. This is right. And I'd love to know if anyone has sued. I couldn't find anything in the media. I looked this morning, but this just went into effect, and it only goes into effect for 30 days. But if your landlord who is now being affected by this, I'd love to know if anybody's going to sue over this stuff because we're not in a state of emergency. At all. So what's the justification for this? The Super U. S. Supreme Court just said You can't have a moratorium on evictions. I mean, you can't just change the law unilaterally. Um Another county commissioner, Douglas only our meeting today's talk about like leaving Tri County. Help. Uh Converting their own health department. I kind of disagree with that. I think that should be something that should be put on the ballot for the voters of Douglas County to the side and The county commissioners do have a history of getting into political as he matches for instance, Tony Sherlock when they supported the red flag walk, uh, threatened to do On sanctuary cities and this match with the traditional health director. And, frankly, I just think it should be a ballot issue for voters to decide. And if there are any Republicans interested, I highly recommend Running against the Parents tell me Commissioner and I think they just made things way too political, And I know there's a lot of Republicans in Douglas County that agree with me on this. Well, you know what? Here's the thing. You're going to have a chance to vote on this When you vote on those three commissioners, and I do think that in the next election cycle that it will become an issue, But I got to tell you, I think that there's more going on behind the scenes on this. Then you realized, Brian And it now looks like there's a movement in both Arapahoe and Adams County to start their own health departments. This is not something that was undertaken as lightly as I I initially thought it was posturing. I'm going to be perfectly frank. I just thought it was a flex and a negotiation tactic that last July was very successful. But after finding out more about how diligently they have been kind of moving the ball in this direction for a couple of reasons why one is that they could not See themselves working in a system where someone in Adams County or someone in Arapahoe County could make a decision for Douglas County that was not based in in rational thought. And that's what happened. And and so why are you opposed to leading Tri County? What are the benefits to try? County that you feel are are worth staying? I'm curious. Well, all I know is we've been part of it for 55 years with bipartisan support, and it Really wasn't until covid head where it's like all of a sudden a huge problem. And I think it should be something other voters should vote on. Not these commissioners because I think they have way too much power on their hands. And I think no, no, no. Brian. What? What? Brian Brian? What does the county commission is supposed to do except make decisions for how the county has run that's completely within. That's their job. Is to make decisions on the direction of of Douglas County or Adams County or Arapahoe County. That is why we have the county commission who you know, And if we're going to have the voters vote on every big important issue that nothing's ever going to get done, and nothing, it becomes an entirely too cumbersome. That's why we have representative government. That's their job. I asked the county commission. Well, I think it is. People should vote on it. And if they want to leave and leave it up to the county commissioners to implement it, But I don't think unilaterally. Something this magnitude and how much a good cost and all the downfalls and how big You know the health of permanent. I think the voters should have a huge say whether or not we leave. Right. The pope to leave Has the county commissioner implement the wishes of the voters. Well, like I said, Brian, there you're going. This is why representative government works because they're going to make a decision about leaving Tri County and then you as a voter are going to have an opportunity to weigh in on that by voting to retain these commissioners or get a new commissioners, But I got to be perfectly Frank Reid. Your argument that we've been in it for 55 years is not very compelling. Because we've always done it is not really a good reason for pretty much anything in my mind if it's not doing what you needed to do, and here's the kicker for me if you can do it more efficiently, and I think that there are ways I actually spent a lot of time this weekend, looking up counties all over the country, some run by Democrats, some run by Republicans, where they have privatized portions. Of the county Health Department. And what that does if you outsource and contract with oversight agreements for private industry to provide things like prenatal care and, well person visits. What you do is avoid what Tri County has right now. 67.2% of Tri County's revenue goes right out the door in payroll and benefits. I mean that 14% of the revenue goes to benefits. So if you can outsource some of that you can do it more efficiently, and it would not be reinventing the wheel because there are there are governments all over the country that have privatized portions of their public health service with great success. So it's not just Hey, they did it and it didn't work with great success. There are ways to do it and not have to spend a crap ton of money. And I'm hoping that that is the direction that they are moving this in. Yeah, I hope so, too. And I just say I'm in favor of living..

"Right around there. Yeah so what. What did you end up getting so you. What was your new interest-rate then it was three point. Five percent right before it really got. So what's the lee have this. You said four hundred forty square foot rectangle. What you build on that. So we didn't kind of as a studio feel to it so it's a rectangle but it's kind of an l shaped living space so we have a full kitchen with dishwasher stove all of it and then Little bit of a living room area where you walk into the unit and then a bedroom there in the bed basically. So it's all kind of one area and then obviously the bathroom is private in the in the other corner. But we. I would say we're pretty intentional with making it function as a great short-term rentals so we really invested in the space for a great bed a great kitchen and a great bathroom. Yeah it's not somewhere that you would probably wanna live for a long period of time but it's very functional and very comfortable for short term rental so when we i think we invested probably a little bit more than we should have. I mean our finishes are pretty. Nice are shower has like to showerheads and it's all marble and it looks great but it's an airbnb photos right and that's all we had in mind. So what was the the flooring countertops the appliances like what were those finish qualities. The aso the cabinets were fairly cheap. But they still look great. The countertops are court site which were pretty expensive. And then we got prefinished maple flooring okay so it is nice flooring yeah i will say the something else to consider when you're picking out finishes. Is you pay a lot more if you wanted immediately so i wanted my cabinets immediately. I wanted my flooring immediately. So i was just going and showing up into local stores and buying whatever they had there that day the cabinets though we got in two weeks from. I think they're called. Rta ready to assemble ready to assemble and they were really affordable. They have horrible reviews online. But i was extremely happy with them. Yeah i mean they. Ship them on a pallet. They arrived our house. I had to assemble all of them and they're and i. I mentioned that because a lot of cabinets they tell you that it's going to take months. Yeah yeah and they're not super high quality cabinets but they look nice a great affordable option for other people. All right so you. There had been some hiccups here. Like you gotta tell something that happened that you weren't expecting on the build or something you up the first initial hiccup was demoing so there actually was some framing in there with drywall and things and i was demoing that and there was a raccoon behind.

There's school ballots, and there's people that contest different things. We don't protest. We don't strike and things like that. You suck it up and move on. Well, that's exactly the point. I'm making. I mean, you're agreeing with me. But why is it that people who live in cities aren't that way? I don't know. It's like that think that they are conditioned. Just through public pressure toe. Be discontented. They organized better. Maybe Um You know, just the mentality is that they owed something. And you know, just out on. That is my opinion. I think that the taxpayers don't step up and say No, We don't know you that we're already paying taxes go back to work. They don't say that. Outlying areas that I mean, the people seem to be content to kind of be led around by the taxpayer being led around by the nose. They seem to be okay. Maura okay with that, in a city that a suburb or a rural area. I'll tell you. I voted no on quite a few school ballots because I felt like there wasting the money and there's a lot of people. But you know, I know that think the same way. There's been violence that have failed, and they have to reorganize and budget better. Yeah, I'm not talking about that. Voting is one thing. But as far as activism, it's a different matter. The activist tend to live in city not just when it comes to schools, but for everything else, I mean, Bethel's the closest We came to anybody having a Anything close to a riot in a rural area. "Hey, you know the thing is that this has been perpetuated by the governor's new Marshall. You know, they have shut down our school out here. What? And the problem is, it's like anything else. The moment you show them that they can stay. Then we get paid. Absolutely want to do it. And then they're not gonna want to return it. Z like dealing with the sports players. They don't want to go back. They just want to sit home and collect a big old check. It's and I'm not saying all teachers like that. Nobody chunk Chris, if you're paid not to work and to stay home. You're maybe you're different. Than many. But most Americans would say we're going to pay you the same price in the same benefits than the same retirement all assuming you don't come to work and stay home. Most people would say You know what? I'll take that. It's kind of like when you make 200,000 bucks a year, and the Democrats want to give you $4000 of stimulus money and you make 200,000 Now maybe you shouldn't take it. But it's free money. You're gonna take it. And so you're saying in Adams County, the government shuts down the schools, says home the teachers and they get paid, whether they come to work or not. Right. And and I the last time this happened, which was earlier this year. I called the superintendent. I go hold him, and I said, Look, I'm either gonna withdraw my kids or they got to go back to school, okay? But I don't do common core. I don't need 14 ways to tell me how to add two numbers together. Okay? It's really that simple. So me trying to teach my Children the way you teach them. Doesn't work. Chris Chris, you're not a teacher. I mean, I've always said that. Moms and dads are the first the last and the best teachers, but it involves with moral issues involving behavioral issues about how to conduct herself. Kids are paying attention to what Mom and dad are doing, and they got big eyes They're watching. But academically, you're not prepared to teach trigonometry or their flu vo processes of GM morphology. That's not your gig. And then for it to drop out. There's all the sudden and then dropped in my lap with no preparation for that. How do you expect me to combat that? You can't Then I told him I said, Look, I said, I don't want to pull my kids out of school. I think they have a good school out here. I mean, we've got some teachers and I have said that my Children will never be in class. Right? By and large. We have a good school out here. We have a good superintendent. I look in our education system. If you're in college and then kur Xavier Miami or you see you're very unhappy. About the circumstances of your education that either you or your parents are forced to pay tens of thousands of dollars would know in person education. You don't have the edge educational experience of college experience that is married. I'm told by Friends of mine that have kids at Miami University, which is a great facility in Butler County, run by Richard K. Jones, that somehow there's no in person classes. So you said in front of a computer, which, after long usage of time you just give up the idea of going to college alcoholism. Drug abuse, suicide attempts and successful acting out behavior. People are all angry about the college experience for those who care about college sports. You can't care now about you See Xavier, Miami, Kentucky and Kay you Louisville, Indiana. Purdue. I u p u I people are just pissed off about what's happening. There's no Joy and happiness in human life. I looked to my right introduce snow on the ground and I 71 used to be packed. So the riots on the right which are quite rare and the riots on the left, which are quite common. And so and so we need to come to come together in some sense not giving up your hard fought beliefs, not for unity sake, but we have to recognize that people are hurting right now and all kinds of ways. And some politician that can tap into that anger and come up with solutions would be a wonderful thing. Joe Biden You know, he's average Joe. Lunch Pail. Joe by the stroke of his pen just laid off tens of thousands of energy workers and then John Kerry and other says, we'll learn how to code. Maybe you could repair Solar panels or go to work on windmills in Indiana. Just go to work on them. Those jobs don't exist. A few do but energy production is a big deal. I want to get your reaction. All of this. You just talk about job creation is being critical. Then you destroy jobs in a nation where our SIO two emissions have gone down every year for the past 10 years. And the rivers and streams air getting in such better shape. Some can even eat the fish out of the high river, which would have been impossible 20 years ago. We have the cleanest environment we've had for 100 years, but it's a political agenda to put out of work people to make them dependent upon government. And I don't know if you're in a small rule county like Adams County or Cloud, my county and your kid comes out of high school. How in the hell of their jobs available? And many small counties and Kentucky Indian, Ohio, where your kid can stay local go toe work, Supportive family, get married. Have a couple kids and pay your bills when jobs or 10 to 12 bucks an hour. How does that work? It doesn't work. And for those who think moved to the city. Well, let me tell you what Spend quite a bit of time in the city of Cincinnati downtown and Otr court straight on down to fourth Street running around there. And, uh, it is dead deader than Babe Ruth. You could throw a bowling ball and I had a pin. He used to be alive and vibrant. All the church. All the church festivals were canceled. The summer festivals were gone. Reds baseball, God knows what's going to happen. I pray to God it comes back, but it looks like it's going to be delayed. MLS soccer response to start the first week in March. Now it's the first I think, April 3rd don't know what's going to happen. FC. The vibrancy of the city isn't terrible, bad shape. Losing energy jobs. To me is the disaster middle class jobs with physical labor that are required. And that now we're going to become more dependent on foreign sources of oil, which is the Middle East and the party for the lunch pails the party for the blue collar. The Democrats are the elitist who fly around in their private jets. And used the suffering of poor black and poor white Americans as an excuse to keep their power using those sufferings in order to advance their cause is advancing policies that fail in the black community completely fail because of the Democratic Party had answers the last 50 to 100 years they would have implemented those and there are no answers other than personal, hard work and perseverance, going to school, getting an education and working your way out of the hole in which you're born. But many Democrats want to keep them in the hole to use their suffering to advance themselves personally, so white liberals and black liberals used the suffering of black folks to advance themselves having No benefit whatsoever to the object of their iron, which are the lives of average black folks who live in cities. And what's the crime is rampant. Health care almost doesn't exist. The public school system stinks. And they can't get out and the Democratic Party keeps blaming and more and more and more every generation passes on more still 90% of the vote without consequence, except to themselves. The rich white Black liberals, feather their own bed and pocket their own money on the suffering of those air, trying to help and can't Now you got me all pissed off. Let's continue.
