"I think that the the overall point was just them becoming the best player they can, and they think they're going to do that with more development with with their federations before going overseas. I'm telling you, I think that they don't really think that I think they want these kids playing in Sweden, the Swedish, ice hockey federation wants many good players from Sweden playing there as possible. I mean in the end, what do they care about. If they end up, they want them to play in the NHL, but they want them playing for their team and selling tickets and being a part of modo's where I was for seven minutes are left the ah, you know, all these all these other teams in Sweden that are really good. But for me as GM, I just think that a kid who's twenty years old is going to get more on a point in the h. l. I think that those guys probably have a good point and saying, I want I want these players in Sweden, but they also if they really looked at it would have tough time saying they're going to develop better for the NHL playing over there than they would in the h. o. then there's lies Pederson who's a complete joke, call that one by the way, and I love that people, people people getting mad, they call it. Fuck wit your call it. Some guy, everyone knew about it like not everyone knew about him. 'cause there was some chiklis listeners that aren't necessarily into Vancouver prospects? Yeah. If you're diehard hockey fan, you knew about the kid. But I let a lot of other people know about him and now he's just. He's a wizard out there. I'm a firm believer in doing whatever's best to develop those players for that HR level it if some teams or people think that that's better suited overseas and hey, I don't. There's really any right answer to cause. Some guys have gone back over and they've came back to the NHL and they've been fucking unbelievable. And then some have not been able to adjust to the NHL style game. So I guess it's just it's, it's the Joe player. Yeah, my first bullet point I have business. It probably depends on the player in a one play, maybe father along development with, you know, he might need more season, and I think the h. l. yeah, you probably become more custom to the North American style of play by pointing the h. l. whereas, you know, another play might be kind of, you know, he might benefit more from being back home in Sweden for for whatever reason. So you know, there's a much different style play hail. Obviously, we talk about all the time that ISIS huge Sweden, much more room. I got one thing about Scandinavian team's dog a question. We got tons of Swedes. We got tons of fins that. We don't have a lot of Norwegians in the any job because a few on pop off, it's just interesting that those three countries, they're, they're so close together and we have, you know, tons of Sweden over the tons of Fens is only been about, I think, less than a dozen Norwegians in the league right now. Mat-su Gorell and Andre minds Senate Chicago, the only to Norwegian in the NHL. It just odd that geographically that these two countries produce tons of any. Gel players, but there's other country right next them doesn't do it at the same level. I'm sure it's probably cultural reasons. Just something that jumped out at mutual. I agree. I also think that if we could ever get zuccarello on here, the tire country, Norway would probably tune it and hope they said he's God over. Yeah, Kevin Hayes, went and played in charity, Hawkey chairman over there, and he's legit the most famous person in the country. Guys just under five and a half million to we do have listeners in the away actually couple couple of chimed in on my Instagram. They popped in the DMZ the to say, wearing the away and we love chick. But so we little world lights, New York scout note where zuccarello lives. Ideas were stocking. You've got mckell Bod Kerr whose whose Dane. So there's a few Danish guy Denmark though, that's different country. No, I'm just saying like that kind of bubble Dane. What's Netherlands? Netherlands. Netherlands Holland hall in the Netherlands. Same country? Yeah. Okay, true. It's turning a math guy, or you're not a map gay. Eighty and seventy million ten million. Before we go..

"Pasha the guy who directed helped film that business. As you see with, he's a big prop better and he loves prop bets. He's crazy, it's. But he hits them like crazy. If you just has a nap now I've mush them. Let's just make sure he doesn't hear this. But yeah, I'll I mean, what? What was the one he scored have hit last year like berko ski or something for two goals off ski for two goals and the line was something crazy. I think it was like fucked up line also like twenty three hundred bucks as big on. I know he's big on. I score to I score in the game as well. So I don't know how many fans we have at our big gamblers. You don't want you guys fucking going out there. Putting the house on on the line, just keep it, keep it tight. Just like the new Amsterdam vodka, just gamble responsibly, boys, one quick topic I wanted to touch on before we finish off this pot a wit. You had not one is this week and Finnish ice hockey. Federation's are a little over their prospects after getting cut from NHL training camps going down and playing in the American League day, think that they'll be better developed over on their home soil with with the semi pro teams are I guess, the pro teams over there like in the Swedish league and and the Finnish league, I, I don't really have an opinion on this yet. I like to to to, you know, dig more into it in digest it and I was thinking, yeah. I mean, if they're going back over there to develop if they aren't making their NHL teams, you know the communication situation over there where they're being able to develop because they're getting the proper teaching in there. Actually understanding what everyone's saying. Not saying all of them don't speak fluent English. But another thing too is, does that help North American kids develop because you having more kids at the h. l. level developing their skills. Obviously, the league's going to be a little bit more watered down, but I, I don't know how you how you guys feel about it. I'm kind of up in the air. I just don't have an opinion on it. If I'm an NHL GM I want my prospects plane in the h. o. I think that it's the, it's the second best league in the world, especially in terms of development. And yeah, the cage l. has probably more skill and the Swedish league. Very good. I think the Swedish, the stronger than the Finnish league, but h where you're learning the pro game over here, what will no to chime in after your thought? I was going to argue, well, isn't your goals a GM to get that kid NHL ready? The Swedish Finnish ice hockey federation's Bassi saying they will develop them better than what they're doing in the American League. We want. Them do. They're saying that they want their kids at home because people wanna go, see these kids play in Sweden and Finland who are then going to be in the h. l. there it would be ridiculous for them to to say that that those leagues are going to get those kids ready for the NHL game. Like the h. l. is I mean they want. I think there's a difference in between developing them as far as their skills than getting them ready for the pro game. I give you're saying, of course you know the the long schedule, it's strenuous more physical. There's the North American ice. So yeah, all those things..

"Thank you to Adam Oates for jumping on awesome guy, very articulate regarding the hockey stuff, and you know, and he was actually pretty pretty humorous with the Brad hall stories. Seems like every good hockey story has brought all tach to it. We need. Hello, this podcast. Yeah. Were folks were trying to trying to get a lot of guys on here that you guys have been asking for, but are I wanna circle back? I'm very intrigued by the whole gambling thing. I had one question before I wanna actually jump into a new segment. I wanna introduce called RA's gambling corner because maybe I'll start jumping in that notes, games bet the over on the game. Let's get you gave like this. I just don't know if it's allowed you. We're going to be stuff. It could be free if you win. All right. I'm just curious if you look at the the whole schedule of games and you like to just kind of like bet a little and everything, or do you like to manipulate lines what you see like a line where you're like, wow, that's right there. They made a little mistake. I typically, I don't really look too far ahead although I am teddy 'cause I'm going to try to give a couple of picks pixel what I like this weekend. I'm basically day to day guy. I'll open the the website. Look at the look at the lines kind of go from there. But there are examples of when I know I like team and I'm probably going to bed them. For example, Tuesday night Philadelphia Flyers got an eight spot on Brian Elliott, eight goals he gave up now. I don't know if he's gonna start Phillies next game or not, but Philadelphia flies gave up eight goals as a fucking team in I noticed teams when they get drilled that bad, they typically respond the next game because they have pride basically. And especially if it's a number one goalie you. Debate the merits of Brian Elliott here. But if say, Hank Lundquist gets six hung on hung on him. I'm going to bet him. The next game is. While he's both you xactly just for the pride fact that just for personal pride, these guys got embarrassed loss game. They're gonna come. The next game, what a little bit of Phya. Now, by the time, this episode of drop Philly will have already play, but I like Philly on Wednesday night after getting an eight spot hung on him, the plan in auto and I know who I got to know who went on auto. It's been not bad. Boys want to. What they're frisky. Like I said, I was at the Bruins game Monday now. Yeah, you look at the squad. They lost six, three, but auto, it doesn't quit. You know, I think there's a lot of guys in that team who again, it's it's about pride. Is everybody saying that they're gonna stink. They're gonna be terrible. And these guys are gonna kind of together in rally around each other. I'm I'm not gonna wanna games, but if you're betting against them, you gotta be gotta, be leery of that a little bit more with their one one. In one, they lost OTT, maybe Chicago their first game, but that's a law. So I'm looking at one and two. I'm betting in RA or have any gambling analytics on teams playing back to back. I Don. I'm not a big number guy, analytical that goes into, we know wits the number guy can't even. I'm big big goal. My guy billion my my, my number one thing with that hockey, though Paul is is the goaltender like is making sure that the goaltender that you want in there is in there because some teams..

"Some guys like once a week to week, and you know, we just kind of we get into a rhythm right in terms of how they want, and then doing guys got back to back games. They don't wanna talk, which I get right. I was there and then there's times where them guys like to talk when you're doing well, some guys talk when it's and I, you know, you just you find a relationship, right? And it's and that's what it is to me. It's a relationship I I'm giving I'm, I'm besting myself into these guys a lot, and I want them to do that with me as well. It's not unlike what the shorter with the referees doing when they get calls from the league everyday kind of going over their work. It's it's similar to that. It sounds like. Yeah, for sure. If you think about it, you make a mistake last. I didn't. Nobody's perfect if I can snap back in and they get they jump back and have a great game the night there was happy. Right? And and it's funny like the more we talk and you tell us about it. So much of it is mental. I bet you a lot of the guys go in thinking, it's all skill and then they don't even realize it's it's such a help for the mentally to be talking to you and knowing that you went through it, it's it's amazing to think that you get to the NHL and you don't really get coached that much. I mean, it's a, it's a coach's job to get wins, and that's what he's looking to do. And and so why has it taken this long for guys to realize I kinda need a personal coach and it's it's so smart, it's it's definitely the future, like you've said. So to see what you've done is is no surprise and also pretty incredible. Well, thanks. You know what some teams have hired their own skills coaches within right now, and they go work with the guys and they work. Yeah, they have. And that's great. You know, and I, I totally support it because what if you're a coach and I've been there, you gotta practice today. We played three and four. How long's that practice. To be thirty minutes four thirty minutes, thirty minutes. Forty minutes. Yeah, you're going out there. You give them the voice a little sweat. Hopefully one. We're going to good mood. You might do a little instruction on one of the that was you know, we didn't like our neutral zone regroup last night. You do a little of that or d- don't coverage, and then the guys, you know you do a couple of drills, so. They didn't really get a lot of individual time where when when you look at basketball look at Steph curry, when does he get his reps before the game? He's working with the ball boys and they're feeding 'em ball so he can work all his shots, right, not in practice in practice when they're running all their system. He probably gonna get ten fifteen shot. When does he get the reps to work on his game? And that's what part of what we bring your calmer time to get locked the reps and then and then during the season, there's a couple of things they can do after practice the work on just a little minute details that keep them sharp basketball fan. I am about smoking. I'm a huge fan as well. At all. I was gonna touch more on the coaches inside the team, but..

"There's only one guy that I've called. Everybody's called me who the player he really damn Kevin Miller Bruins. Oh, wow. You know from the Bruins I thought I thought Kevin take a hit that I was real upset about and I called his agent and I got Kevin on the phone and I talked about the head. I said, I can prevent that hit and he said, all right, I'll give you try. And you know, we got a great relationship TAT's. Awesome. You don't work strict with Fuller's and you work with defense minutes. Well, so I was, yeah. I got defensive, defensive defensive, think about it, your six pension, what your weakness speed. Playing the puck. Oh, Eric, Eric, Carlson weaknesses up playing the puck, right? Yep. So also the depending on everything should be begging me. Why. 'cause you move up to fourth defenseman us a lot more money than you. Oh, yeah. If you're in the top four, you're making four million. I would say probably off your entry level. Now you're making over four fucking million to good point today, private private tutoring and growing, right? All the skills guys. Everybody trying to help everybody, which is a great thing because salaries have gone up guys wanna play a long time at the tough game. All we talk about, is it bigger, faster, stronger than your best interest to be able to go back and play that fatter under control. Sorry, go ahead. No, no. I just wanted to ask, I know you're into your guys are into video and watching other players. I remember always tried to get clips of Nick Jim because it's just great to watch the best. Who do you think the player in the league is that you've kind of recommended guys to watch his shifts? You know what I'm saying? Is it Crosby Malik. And is there one guy that you've told a lot of people, hey, check on how this guy plays. You know what I do that a lot like, and every guy you know, use the guy who's your favorite player. Okay. 'cause I got video on everybody. Right? Like who's your favorite player? So a guy might say, depends on my donkey. Okay. Let's watch how he goes back for a buck because he might be the best. Who's your favorite player? Crosby. Patrick Kane, Connor, you know, and everybody's got somebody that they kinda see themselves as right. So so the fact that they say that we, you know, I, I have video, we watched plays, and that's the beauty like I watch guys video and everybody. You know, in a game, you play seventeen minutes. You know, sixteen of the minutes you play great. There might be one minute over the all the shift and make a couple of mistakes. But if you can fix those mistakes, you're going to play another minute. Another two minutes, you're gonna. You're just gonna. Keep moving up the ladder all about. Oh, gee, obviously very analytical mind when it comes to hockey and one of the, like I said, one of the best passes ever, and that's a lot of geometry math involved there. Now I've been watching hockey forever. A lot of listeners have is there is this something, you know, even watching hockey so long as some we might be missing watching on TV or is there some other way to maybe watch the game that we haven't even thought of? Because we're so used to just probably watching the puck on TV all these years. Yeah, you know what? I like what I tell everybody and you know what, if you look at our game, which is a great game, like every coach has a system. We all everything's system everything like we're almost like football, right from base up plays and the opening faceoff we have positions players have to be in what I say is what breakdown system we'll give you a Deepak, and the guy puts it in the guys feet. That's a mistake. Like the system just shut up like the host, just lost power because you put in the guys Pete, you put it on his Tate..

"And from what I hear, you're making fucking Babcock money, not even coaching. So on growing that business success, he. You mentioned when you think about it when you think about it last year at fourteen career, hives. Their summers. Oh, wow. Your students or team guys? Yeah. Are you open for business? They how's it going to work? I mean, you know, you're gonna come on this podcast, but three hundred thousand people are going to hear it in be people trying to call you up the Yang Yang. There's going to be men talk league guys that have. OT. Scoring careful biz is going to try to wear hot if you can act into the league. I bet you'll be you'll be a billion dollar business no time. Something something a little bit out of my reach, but. You. You mentioned teddy pursell and perfect guy to want to hire your staff, and this is not a discredit to Teddy's game, but physically he, you know, he wasn't. I would say he wasn't on the high or the NHL standards, but his mind was was where he, he brought it. I mean, his mind and hands, right? He was a wizard out there. He played at that with with that skill is that type of guy that you're looking for where he, he was just so smart on the ice where he can now interpret it to guys who are still playing. I think keeping their what you said is interpreted right because the hard part of coaching and doing this is heating, the technique. So teddy has a lot of technique already. So it's easier for him to pass the knowledge on because there are some things that that take a lot of work to learn how to do no question and teddy has those hands and and he can translate it for the guys and he's relevant for the guys on have older guys don't know me. So it's great to have petty for this generation of player. The froze gonna ask, did you find it hot to relate to the the millennials, younger players that you kind of have to do it through guys like teddy. Both. You know, like I would say that most of the guys, you know, we have a good relationship. It's hard for me to see guys that don't have a voicemail on their phone. Right? 'cause I wanna communicate with them. But at this, you know, I also know that the new deal, right it is, but on the ice, once you get on the ice, there's never a problem because everyone speaks hockey on the ice and everyone's paying. Very well put their everyone's paying good to a lot of money to be there, so they're probably dialed in from the minute. They get there and want to suck. That's why I don't. I don't get looking for guys like out of all the guys I got..

"Oh, late. You career to not be able to bring them home. You know what you have mixed feelings like, you know, you obviously want to win. You lost game seven of the final. You know, like you can't go any farther. And the one thing about a playoff run. That's the best feeling in the world is is when you get by the first round, you feel the boys come together 'cause it gets another level of electric, right? And next thing you know, it's just the the commod ary and the way the guy's laid on the line, each other. So the go to game seven. I mean, it was incredible. I bet that we had seventeen guys taking needle before the game. Jeez, great spirits. You know, really was don't like, you know years later. Where were you like? I'm assuming you'll never forget when you got the call that you, you know, elected and going to be a hall of fame member. Yeah, I was in Toronto. I got the call and you know, I knew up. I had no idea, and Gary Bettman call me, and then it was like, you know about as you can imagine a fantastic feeling right, like like talking about putting the icing on the cake and it was very honored and it's just it's almost a real, how cool it is. I wanna ask a question about, you know, you finish in two thousand three thousand four and Edmund ten. And then you didn't start coaching till two thousand nine hundred thousand ten while at least on on hockey db it says that like like like you were you scared of retiring now that you had nothing to do. You know? What? Did you go through you working doing other things? What was that time in your life? Like. But you know what I. I retired. We had the lockout. I didn't play well my last year and that bug me. And I kinda spent a couple of years kind of being retired bum and then retarget call me and ask me, come work with him in data and jumped at it. I'd never thought about it. I wasn't sure how why we're gonna like coaching, but I'm really glad he did and give me a great chance at actually really do love coaching and trying to improve the guys. And then you mentioned the New Jersey thing, and then all of a sudden you're right back in that spot. Where like at that point you're like, what do I do now? And how long after that was when you saw the LeBron James thing it was like two weeks, you know? 'cause you interview in the summer after the season and the NBA's going through their finals. And I thought right away and actually, you know, I called stammer right away damn close and because I coached him in Tampa. He was a guy that we talk hockey a lot. Right. And. I asked him what he thought about, and he said, yeah, let's try it called a couple other guys. I call petty pursell who had coached who actually not works for me teddy just joined the team, and you know what a very highly skilled guy that like you like the way coach and approached it. And now he's looking to move on his second career and passing all John with the guys and, and I'm very happy to have him you looking to get back on a head coaching in the future, you prefer this kind of small class, like one on one type of stuff you're doing? No, you know what I couple years ago I came out that I'm not going to coach anymore because I the last thing I wanted with any coach out there to think that there might be some funny business going on or sabotage and going on, and I, you know what I wanted to clear the air that no, I'm just gonna work on guys and try to improve your skill at all..

"I mean, if you didn't give him the puck, you or one thousand percent hearing about it if you if you didn't give me the pug, you weren't on our line next year. The two oath don't try, give it to me, get it, the him, he'll get the puck and don't even try. Give me the puck, give it to oats. I. I got a story we we were playing the islanders and we were walking across from the Marriott Napa Coliseum. And and he also looks at me and he goes, let's have a good one tonight and I go, no, no, no. Let's have a really good one I go. Okay. What do you mean? I'm not coming off until I score. And I go, I know he's my wing, man. I go, I go, okay. It'd be fun. Right? And we didn't start the game, but we went on second and we stayed on for all four left wingers and they were yelling at it, then the badge and turning around yelling back at them, and we're just going on and he ended up scoring. Got a hattrick four hattrick in a row. Oh. Unbelievable. That is fucking. Then we went, we went to Minnesota, and you know, we stayed. We stayed in Long Island that night and we went out after game. So Minnesota, hey, let's see tonight. Man, like we've been going hard. He got two goals. Next, I didn't talk to me for a week. OT I heard that he would get on the bench and be like, he's not going to night like a guy on the ice like he's done the night. He does not have it. It's the best man. I mean, I've heard the LA story, right? I like, got it. So funny. But my favorite thing with Holly looking back now is we're both start Catholic guys as all the boys are in the locker room, right? And we'd be on the, we've been the bench. We watching them play and and the guy would fumble fumble. The puck, right? And one of attended nice can play. Right. And then the other go, we'll look at it stick. No wonder he did that, right? Oh, yeah, good point. And everybody thought we make fun of guys. And now I actually realized we one of their stick. Sure. Twigs. Yeah, Turpin twig. Well, I mean, I do need to hear the story before we kind of move on Saint Louis. I heard that Brett Hull had a hilarious name for Bob berry. Is this like as their backstory. Yeah. Bob areas. Coach, she Montreal great guy. He's a great guy and and he was, you know, he helped Brian Sutter with us because we were young on his team, right? And we like Bob, but we're in Chicago, and we're gonna fight with Brian during the game, and he benched and now we're sour and we're yelling at them yelling back though. Afterwards, we're on the bus. We're staying over in Chicago, we're in and we sit in the back and Bob berry back but and goes, hey, when we get to Brian guys in his room and the holy doesn't and he go, guess, what do we ain't going. We ain't going. We're going out with Celli. But I go. Never never. Never heard him calm. Boo. Boo. What's he just on the spot on the spot. Negra bussing hotel, I go running. No, we're gonna. Chilly. Chilly, who dealt with punishment in the next day? God. I want to ask one more about about Holly is, were you plan with them when this story about when he got sent to the penalty box survey, delayed penalty, and then when he go yet and then can you, can you tell that story because I've heard it in different ways. "E. t. s.. Now, it's my pleasure to bring on a Hockey Hall of fame or guy who I grew up watching here in Boston was my money, probably the best passer in the history of the game. If not one of the top two guys now, like the welcome to the show Adam Oates, Adam, spitting checklists. Thanks guys. Thanks for having me. Absolutely. So we've been hearing around the camp fight. You've been somewhat of a hockey whisper for a lot of these NHL sties lately doing in private tutoring. What's out of that come about. You know what a couple of years ago I, I was coaching the doubles, and then the season I interviewed for the head job, I didn't get it and I interviewed for a couple of jobs didn't get them. And you know, you kind of go in that carousel, you're waiting for the Kona ring and you know, kinda maybe system coach and just thinking about it. And that summer I was watching the NBA and LeBron James in the finals and they, they showed this guy in the stand and they call them as skills coach, and they showed a little video of him working with the guy to Jim cut in between practices and kinda working on his game away from the team and gave me an idea from the guys that I coached in my crime and the guy said, yeah, let's try it. And that's started. It really did, and it's been three years now that that's incredible that that kind of gave you the idea because I don't know who the bronze skill coaches, but you must have thought right away. All right. Well, even if that guy's not a great player, I can go to people I had over a thousand frigging assists like I have the actual rep of people saying that they'd love to work with me. You know, it would be easier where you kinda just going into thick and I don't even know if they want to. You know what I actually didn't know. So they started talking to the guys and you when I when I was coaching assistant coach or head, like I really enjoyed trying to figure out a way to make a guy better. Like obviously, coaches, coach Dems, and there's a lot of details into your job, but I also really love trying to make guys better. And you know, if you, if you get better, you make more money and they like you, right? And it kinda went hand in hand. You know what? It's something I always liked and I really do like it. I love it. I love giving the guys maybe a little bit of information that makes them better. I mean, you know, they're in the NHL there. Get to the Joe, you're tastic hockey player, and when there's still a lot of different levels in our game, once you get there and then we start to get older or you get hurt, but there's always room for prove mino- matter what matter how good you are, and you know what the guys love it. I mean, I, I love it and they do. That's it's so true to here. I mean, even you say that it's like, I think the best thing my dad ever told me it was the no matter how good you think you are like somebody out there trying to get better here. All Famer say it just kind of really grains in my mind, the memory. I have him saying that to me, but the the other thing I wanted to ask you is it's a long year. I mean, you're working with some of the most skilled players in the world. But you also have ups and downs. So is this mental in terms of guys in a five game skid and you're mentally talking talking to him and it's not just kind of skill level and things like that. Absolutely. You know what when I when I, when I think about it, like that, I, I have my dad. I have my agent. I had read hall beside me or Ray Bork, or I would watch Steve is in, but there's always something that maybe snaps you back in and if I can get a guy detail that prevents that by game skid, how how much better than if you, there's ten points out there or ten good plays that your coach likes you and you play two more minutes. How about that advantage in today's game? Yep. Yep, that's exactly true..

"Know. And I know too, like this is a very dangerous time of yet again, if you bet in hockey. 'cause like we've just saying, teams are in disarray teams. Maybe a slogan outta get seems a little frisky like Ottawa. I mean, they're going to, they're going to play against teams wits. I mean, they're going to challenge teams. They're not going to quit like Monday. They got smoked by the Bruins, but they never stopped playing. I think they're going to be scrappy team to to to bet against. So right now, though the best bet in hockey is the over teen total for the Toronto Maple Leafs thought to keep going back to them. But that's the easiest bet the of the sofa. I had a bet that was hit and it was that the Nashville predators would never in our lives, put up a banner that says regular season west conference champions what. Faulk is that banner that's like a banner from the WNBA that says regular season. Like fans Selo. I can't even describe where you come up with the. You should put up a banner that you won the Western Conference regular season. Somebody's sitting in a room like, oh, we need some more batters. We haven't won the Cup or the conference yet those marriages find something to put up there. It's like the colts when they put up what they put up. They put up some ridiculous, put up a AFC finalist. Finalist. That's actually more impressive Bo than just winning the Western Conference regular season. At least they went to the AFC find championship. I mean, that was just a tough look for Nashville really was I'd be hypocritic by if I didn't say, I don't mind it. We put up a division champion banner in in Phoenix. It's actually the only banner or sorry, air Arizona coyotes now. But yeah, we put it up after we'd won the Pacific Division and we ended up going to the conference finals that year. But the next season we did it and I'm a firm believer and especially in markets like Phoenix and Nashville, you know, they're not traditional hockey markets. So for them, it's it's cool and I'm, I'm a firm believer in in celebrating any chance you get. They've had a pretty good run here. So I'm not just going to rag on them for for celebrating unless of course it's Carolina celebration. I knew I had it. I had something about the WNBA. I just Google that Washington it mystics two thousand three WNBA attendance champions. That's banter to banner and a half for you. You haven't. Maybe it's almost like a funny promotion to get them out like the Flint, Flint, Michigan, mega ball. I think if they hadn't already had a Cup run, I wouldn't really have an issue, I would say, have an issue with it, but I don't think it's that big of a deal. Not a big deal there. Seventeen is still kind of new to it, but you already had a Cup run, man, you can't. I don't think you can really hang regular season ban is after you already had that much success. I mean, regular ending regular season. It's kind of like whatever. I mean, this is the same pot though, with with member of the Bruins used to hang banners like that back in the day, though the Browns used infamous that they'd had Adams division ban is all over the place like regular season, playoff winter. So you can shit on shit on the Bruins for that the one that years ago, but I don't know. I mean, it's kind of like what biz said, yeah, you, you accomplish something. You want to acknowledge it. But I think three banners for a season where you got knocked out in the second round is a little bit excessive. Yeah, tough better Nashville. Maybe maybe we'll get a Stanley Cup on this year. It's not out of the question, but that's, that's your opinion. I'm saying, hey, celebrated chance you get. Yeah. When you're on t. wasn't scored a goal, two weeks into the season. Would be your opinion, but. Grenon scored scored goals, but it's more known for just filthy assists and 'unreal sauce. So Adam Oates hall of Famer coming at you. And now this interview is brought to you by Dollar Shave Club. Haven't been in plenty of hockey. Locker rooms guys have their own rituals for getting ready to go out in the ice and after the game. Well, not everyone hopped in the shower style, the hair to get ready to go out well as a proud member of the Dollar Shave Club..

"I said, what did he hit? Who thought of this little wits quarter thing? Ten Vegas makes at six and a half at the most kidding me. Ted under under ten, it went over to eleven to go on a little God goddamn under. That's that. If I'd taken the over in ten in Vegas, it's gotta be plus ten thousand Miley. My only thing the whole Leafs scenario is maybe they're like, hey, we can. We can put up the numbers offensively. Maybe we now use Neulander as levers to go get a d. because you're thinking going into the season a, maybe we're missing a big hole here and maybe our offense struggles early on because we have that missing piece. I mean, some of these guys have obviously picked up the wait. You know, we talked about awesome Matthews and four, four games. He's got seven goals. This has to be coming out party for us the Matthews too because I mean, it's first year he had an unbelievable season with forty tux sixty nine points last year ends up getting injured for twenty games. So he ended up finishing with sixty three points. So he hasn't had his like insane year yet. Mcdavid had it in his second year. I believe sid did it in a second year. So I think this one's personal for Matthews and he's just looking so fucking good. So he's gonna get. Here's an earth thing. What do you? What do you think he takes a little bit of a pay cut? Like do you think he asked for more than what MC David's making, or you think he's going to be like in the eleven range? Kind of, I think Taveras took ten and a half, and he wondered if he ends up signing virus like deal. That would be a fucking big kiss on the cheek tick Toronto fans, man, hem taken ten and a half he could get he could get easily. What mcdavid is gonna make. I know this is going to be very interesting team. I know this was last week to quickly guys. I wanted to mention. We have Adam Oates on this week who wrecked Grenell correct. Who. All Senate at. Yeah, ever heard of him with this. I, it's Adam, but it's it's. He uses a capital when he writes it out Adam. Here's a variety business either for that. No, you watched him play a couple of times though. No. No, I might be out of my my my era like either for the interview. Probably physically, but mentally, you're often not there. So maybe it was one of those big time CBD day. RA was, was it pretty good? He was talking to a hockey savant, right, right, right. What's it was talking to professor like he was actually asking us questions during we would give replies, but. He was and he brings up well not going to get this story. He tells them Kevin Miller going to spoil it, but he that fact that he was able to watch a guy playing on TV and to be able to pick up. One thing that I don't think many people would be able to, you know, to reach out and say, hey, you fix this one thing, you're going to be a better player in it. It's like he's on. He thinks the game ones such a different plane higher plan than the rest of us. It's ridiculously impressive. If you're obviously if you're a fan of hockey listen to here, but he's, he thinks the game, I think, like a geometric level and he's a really interesting cat. I think people going to enjoy what yet to say, go on a serious note. He was unbelievable in RA..

"Those goes counting bullets and movie type comments to yourself. Go ahead. I agree with and in regarding the situation, I'm assuming that his camps asking for seven. Let's use a flat number. I said there's a place to meet even if you only get six point two five at the difference, a six million dollars over the course of escrow agent fees and taxes. A couple million dollars here over the course of eight years. You're telling me he can't make that up on off ice money. Listen. I'm not telling me Leonard, do anything. I'm saying to me after taxes, and they pay and everyone two million as opposed to staying around with the and fucking winning a lot of hockey games. The course of the next, let's say six, seven years. -magine they sizzle, fizzle out at some point. That's to me that's worth it. That's my opinion on it. I'm not telling willing to do nothing. I hope fucking gets as much money as he can. And also, I don't know if you guys have caught the Maple. Leafs are Wegener on and Austin Matthews looks like a man possessed straight now. Welcome up. Ten points, seven goals already. I just this team. I actually took the Dallas last night or sorry. I mean, what is that Tuesday night that didn't work out that was a loss because I thought Toronto might slow down at the Chicago barn burner eighty style game. They go into Dallas, but they went in, they put up seven again, six again, whatever it was. So this team looks like the top team in the league right now. So it kind of hurts lender because if you're holding out. You're lying. If you say you're hoping teams ripping it up because that gives them no reason to need to bring you back at some point, they'll need him. They'll need depth run into injuries. But right now, Neil Anders like shit, what did I do here? All right. How do you say. Olds out pasta. Hold out a little bit. I don't think he, I don't think she held out. No, he he, he signed that he signed in time and I think what pasta the big thing he, you know, he not saying not implying Newland doesn't want to be in Toronto but positive. Absolutely. Wanted to be here. He was in Tuesday. He was like all about satin staying here. Again's fires. Kneeland. I mentioned the Lascaux his father had, I think, a couple of different holdouts contract. Bullshit. He, he got a little bit of a history of that. So I, I don't know if he's getting advice from his old man or whatever. But as far as the least band hits definitely not helping his case because they're putting up what they get seven last night, they scored five or six. I think in Chicago, the other night, this team absolute wagon virus and Austin Matthews as we all expected digits doing incredible damage right now. They're gonna do this all year. I mean, I don't see them Slowin down Freddie into sin. He's probably going to not have the best numbers because they're playing almost like running gun hockey. Like last. The over under what was it? I six and a half Dallas, easy money last night. We'll get a little gambling later, but it's impressive as hell. Of course, it's, it's all going to matter when the playoffs come because they can do this all season playoffs are a long way to go long ways off, but that's when the rubble meet the road. So talk about just being somewhat of joke in terms of analysis in predictions like I've had in my past on NHL. Now yesterday they brought the question to me Dallas Toronto with a little two minute little two minutes show on TV what little two minute corner with corner over under of ten tonight in the Dallas Toronto game..

We're gonna kick it off with the Carolina Hurricanes. Not a great year last year. Some surprising moves in the off season. But you know, I've talked to some people that are pretty optimistic about this team. They like their youth and where they're headed. Of course, led by Justin Williams now who got the see. I mean, I don't think there's a, there's any any doubt that he was going to get it. And I mean, why don't you? Why don't you kick us off with the forwards are once you break them down?
