"Sort of pope painters, businesses independently owned and operated. We're back Adam Michael James is here has dedicated several books to the world of Bewitched. And I call him Mike, because that's what his friends call him. And I consider my friend Mike, a friend. That was rather redundant. Yeah, but but the sentiment is clear. All right now explain this to me. Why did the theme change from season one to season two. Why did Justine change? Yeah. The theme was More friendly, softer, comfortable. And then the every tyrant died and 10 10 10 10 to dent. I get used to it because I love the show. But I miss the old thing. I think part of my confusion with that is because I'm so used to the syndicated versions and the versions that air on DVD, which pretty much have the same theme through seasons, one through five, so, but I know there were different different versions in broadcast. Um, and the answer to that is, I honestly don't know. I could tell you a dancing around that question. Mark Simpson, the the organizer of the witch fanfare. If you're listening, I'm sure he would know because he is so up on the behind machine stuff much more than I am. Okay? And who the hell is peanuts? Her name sticks out in the credits. And I, I had peanuts. And I think of Charlie Brown and Linus and Snoopy. Not something that some Dominican diminutive young woman who was doing the hairstyles. Yeah. I don't know where that name came from. Maybe it wasn't a mosh. But or maybe she just really like peanuts. I don't know. Cause you I'm a credit reader. I read the credits from beginning to end. And her name sticks out. Like a baseball bat to your head. And 50 years later. We're still talking about her. Yeah, You know, peanuts if you're listening. I'm show it out for us. Oh, wait, wait, wait, wait. I gotta give you a round of applause for that one. Yes, I did. Have you met any of the people? Who helped put that show together. Um stars. Yeah, I met I met I met. I met Erin Murphy back it be which fanfare 2014 in Los Angeles. I met Um David and Gregg Bloche Mendell, the twins. That played Adam On and I'm still I'm still on Facebook with both of them. I've met several of the guest stars and I did. I did get a chance to see Bernard Fox. Dr Bombay from across the room, But he was so swamped with admirers and I was like, Wow, you know, I don't like Force myself in there. Maybe I'll just stay back here and I'll wait. And then he left. And, of course, a couple years later he passed away. So maybe I should have forced myself in there, but I at least did get to see him. He had he had a couple of speaking lines in Titanic. Yet he did. It was like the best part of it. Aside from watching Leonardo DiCaprio drown, that was actually my favorite part of the movie. 19 nineties Boy Band wannabe. That's me. He's in Boston right now filming some movie about a media war. Well, well. He certainly had a meteoric career since then, so more power to him and that one So I am. Yes. I was like I was lucky enough that I got. I've gotten a chance to meet several people involved with the witch and I also did meet Richard Michaels. He I can't remember now how many Oh, don't have it in front of me how many episodes he directed, But he also produced a bunch of them and he actually wrote the back cover blurb for the B, which continue on which was really, really nice of him to do. And the key is Is there another book of third book in You? You never know. I mean, I when I wrote I, Samantha, take this mortal Darrin. That was supposed to be the end the and serious finale done. And then, um One day I had this funny idea that was really only funny to myself and see which fans but I was thinking about the tablet the series and you know You probably know that that ran in 1977. And the big stink about that was the age Tabatha to a 25 year old when she was only supposed to be 11. And so I was taking a bath or something. I get the strangest ideas in the bathtub and And I thought, what would be funny if Tabitha woke up one morning and said, Mother, I had the strangest dream. I was the weather girl in Los Angeles. And I was 25 years old and Adam, you were there You are mortal enemy and they drove this yellow car. It was so real a little bit like Dallas. With what's his name in the shower with Bobby in the shower or or morning. Believe this. Yeah, exactly. Hello. Hello, honey. Um, or the series finale of Newhart, I think pulled something like that. I woke up in bed with examples yet, Um, but that was Oh, that's a funny idea. Ha ha. And but it bugged me. That I wanted to do something with it, and that's where this book came from. And so if that came out After I said there wasn't going to be another book there very well could be a third one. All right. I'm rooting for it. Now. Let me take my bottom of the hour break. Anyone else wants to call him and talked me. Wicht first season. Last season..

"I'm going to say this. Perhaps I said, I have saved the best for last. Adam Michael James has been against armed with me in the past. And he got in touch with me around. Spring. I don't know if it was April May, Buddy. Communicated to me that he has another book. On this Stephens, Darrin. Samantha. And all the rest and Dora Yeah, but the Adam. Hmm. And Adam is part of my guest name. But for simplification. I am going to call him, Mike. So my council going It is going fine, Mr Morgan. Oh, don't go. Mr. Makes me think we think we think, Mr Morgan from the Queen Victoria episode Remember Mr Morgan to kind of kind of fit. Now I'm gonna I'm gonna go kind of out of order. Tell everybody listening about an event coming this April. Covert 19 permitting. Yes, Virus and vaccine permitting. You guys are gonna love this, especially because it will be taking place in Salem. We are going to be doing another one of our be wished. Fanfare events organized by March. Simpson, who has been organizing those since. I believe 2003 we're going to be we were supposed to do this last year, but pandemic Um, it was and we'll still be Tonto Honor the 50th anniversary of Bewitched filming in Salem, Um, which originally was June of last year, But we've had to postpone a few times. So we are going to get together to do that May 6th through the eighth. We're gonna have events at the house of the Seven Gables, The Hawthorne Hotel Gloucester house. You're gonna have special guests more all kinds of stuff. And if you're in Boston, you're already practically there. So check out Bewitched fanfare dot com For all of that info, and you know, hopefully we will all be able to get together in person. Now I have done my own events in Salem. And I want to tell you something you should know. The Hawthorne Hotel still has eight by 10 Toe. Last time I was there, which was about 34 years ago, still has eight by tens on their wall. Of the cast and crew. Shooting was what 56 episodes. Lifting anything. Yeah, I want to say seven. Okay? But what about a minute? Wait a minute. No 1556 or seven. How about we cover all bases? I like that. I like that. Let's bridge the gap. And that's the thing about Fingerprint of Bewitched. I can understand. Even though that happened. 45 50 years ago. You want people to know that it happened and How you're building your hotel. Was so proud that they were involved with that, even if it was just behind the scenes as a place where the actors stayed. Actually, there was one scene that they filmed inside by the elevators. Okay, because I found that out. When I went, I went there myself in 2019. And I saw the pictures that you're talking about, And it was really cool to be in the same building. And then when I recognized the elevators and like, wait a minute that actually showed up in the sea. Our youth. Work youth. All right now, I made a mistake. I made a mistake. Of the timeframe of this book. So I'm not even gonna bring up what I said. E need to stake so I'm not gonna put a spotlight on the mistake I made. Tell everybody the concept of this book. I mean, this book is called Samantha seventies and it's a continuation from the last book I wrote. Which big long Titleist Samantha take this mortal Darrin. That was meant to be the serious finale that the show never had. On. That really was supposed to be it, but I guess Samantha and Darrin and everybody decided they had more that they wanted to say. So what's amounted seventies does is it takes everybody into the seventies starting with the show ended in 1972. So I start with 1973 and pick up where I sam, which is what I like to call the previous book just to keep things short left off, and we go all the way through to 1979. And that's where the Samantha seventies Title comes from because you know how many Bewitched episodes were called Samantha's Blank, You know, so so that seemed like a perfect title. Is there. Moment of 73 456. Like 75. Not that you would have chosen. This is a backdrop. But the end The Vietnam War was April 75. That's true a moment in time. That's Samantha overlaps. With the Vietnam War and in particular or any real life. I took that as an example. The big thing in the story. Um, well, there's a lot of stuff that gets into more of the family dynamics and you know which characters getting diseases and stuff like that. But the one thing that I really wanted to do with this story, um, especially because I Samantha left off with a message of unity and, um We're really are living in a time where we need to be reminded of those messages that that Bewitched laid out for us all those years ago about equality and accepting each other. Um so I have won. The 1976 story is set against the bicentennial. Um, I send Samantha and everybody to New York City. S so they can observe bits of, you know, um, bicentennial..

"Walls as snow takeoff. Umass live account capture. Swinger he's a wonderful acted on so he's terrific. Good good good but so I love that. That scene starts of course with more Michael. Cain again the fountainhead. It's where everything begins that we get the great buried fourteen Batman so far fourteen love it. That's the number and they do eventually get around to Tom. Hardy's Bain you know. I'm with Josh completely. On all the reasons he listed why this is so fun. I think it probably makes my list Adam to be fair because we did just do our Dark Knight Trilogy Revisit. So it's fresh in the mind and you know having liking the character of vein for the most part but also I think I acknowledged he can stray a little bit into camp. Here there Without in mind I definitely did. WanNa put this moment on my list and to be honest. Adam Michael Cain is terrible just brutal but I gotta say that the Bane I did at the top of that Dark Knight Trilogy Show Pretty Good. I'm think I'm close to what they're doing here in this scene. Michael Cain better than your Michael. Cain and their Tom Hardy and Christian. Bale to I would say is not among their better impressions rob doing the only Christian Bale there I think but I do love the scene and I tweeted about it over the weekend because we just posted that show and there I am praising the dark knight rises and Tom Hardy and his performance and then I put on the trip to Italy and I watch this all play out and it was definitely coincidence. Spotting also includes one of my favorite moments. And there's at least one more in this Quadrille Aji maybe two more those moments where they're giving each other a little bit of grief. Someone doesn't impression like here. Steve Thinks he beats him to it and he does the bloody doors off. Michael Cain Bet and he goes but I I did it first and now you can't and rob just so quickly response. Do Your Michael Caine. He just gets them right. He's like is that. Is that really what you're giving us in? Coogan even has to give a little smile at it but I love the end of it as well where they had that little kitchen break and they're talking about how charismatic and formidable and scary. Yeah both of those guys are as actors and they do that whole role playing bit imagining the phone. Conversation with the ad telling them that maybe they should try something different with their voices. And then the best part Josh. Because I do love this as well is when they cap it off by having Coogan say I wouldn't say that to his face though. Brian's like no loved you and Batman Acceptable said. They couldn't understand you but they're just wrong. They just start backtracking. Yes exactly so when the impression becomes an actual Improv. Like that where they're both playing characters not just doing impressions but both playing Reuters. Yeah that's some of the richest stuff right in this whole series and it nicely sets up my number five which is seen where neither is doing an impression at least of a figure an actual figure though they are doing a certain archetypal movie character. And it's in the trip. Maybe about three quarters of the way through. And it's we rise. At daybreak they're driving along. They're looking at the hills and Coogan just gets inspired..

"Weight of a collapsing on affordable care act that's all they would have voted for and that's unfortunate not only just for them but for the american people meanwhile do you have a meanwhile sounder fantasy i guess he doesn't have ollery lauded on on an open own user meanwhile senator ted yeah david hale i get a lotta passionate about this and i'm trying to break the ice tatair we'll do was we're supposed reliable and advice tariffs oh fueloil hide him a your phones just wire now i have to do a meanwhile so ashton will know where to break up the radio highlights meanwhile tatair i'm not the only one that believes that the tax plan is good for the country and good for most people the heritage foundation's daily signal adam michael and parker shepherd they explain why the joint tax or the tax that was analysed by the joint committee on taxation is likely so far off the actual growth impact of the tax cut you've heard me talk about dynamic score in verses static scoring what a joint tax committee made a feeble attempt to do some dynamic scoring but it was dynamic scoring light light light because there's really three ways to approach modeling of what you think the economy is gonna do and they did a feeble attack on two of them and as a result they come up with a conclusion that the gdp will increase by zero point eight percent off share that with you yesterday but let me tell you what larry kudlow came up with three percent plus let me tell you what art laugher a noted economist came up will thirty percent plus allow me to tell you what heritage foundation's economists came up with and terms of what the gdp will be three percent plus so when you hear all of this armageddon talk that.

"But when but it's it when it comes to the american people's money and and getting the economy growing again i think it's it's important to sort of way those two in this this specific debate and the and push for for spending reductions as well but but uh right now there's talk of adding in uh automatic revenue triggers increasing taxes automatically if uh if if the economy doesn't grow fast enough or a enough revenue doesn't come in after the uh after the tax cut medic that those can be uh those can lead to automatic increases on the american people in the future that would the uh not necessarily a good a good al awsat reform yeah that's awesome the and what do you think he you know this whole alabama a mandate amin there are a lot of people who feel that's the very least that they can do since they were unable to repeal and replace obamacare and yet that's holding up this tax bill yeah this is repealing the tax that's forces people to buy health insurance they otherwise when by that's part of the senate the senate tax reform plan is to get rid of of that of that tax penalty and i think that's a it's a a proper place to get rid of it that is part of tax reform and it's and it's also uh it's it's an additional piece of tax relief and i think of all the problems that that people have with his tax reform bill the the repealing the individual mandate is i think the the easiest place took to win on that this is the most unpopular part of obamacare this is uh is the common sense place to get rid of it and it's uh it's just a perverse penalty this you go away now i just hope that they use these these things are posturing and primping in an end i'm watching schumer do it already this morning as already people being helped now admit breaks my heart when people being helped right now in washington are the people with this sexual assault cases anyway i appreciate your time thank you again adam michael from the heritage foundation always a pleasure baker every on i write he's a smart smart young man phd candidate george mason real smart anyway i uh i just is nothing.
