"Big October surprise from the January 6th committee, we've subpoenaed Donald Trump, my message to Liz Cheney and Adam kinzinger, be careful what you wish for. Because I think there's a lot of us that want to see Donald Trump tell off Liz Cheney. You know, that's going to be like, you may think that Liz Cheney is on to something. "May seem like a bit of a surprise, but I'm going to say a few words and praise of Adam kinzinger. What Adam kinzinger, the guy who the guy who decided to vote well, he voted for Trump's impeachment. He's been on the January 6th committee with Liz Cheney. But here's a key difference. Adam kinzinger has a little bit of self recognition. Liz Cheney does not have any. I mean, let's start with Liz Cheney. I mean, the idea of getting absolutely routed in your primary. And think of it. You got the Cheney dynasty. You've got all the money you have outspend Harry and hagerman. Harriet hagerman is a kind of a nobody. She comes out of nowhere and no political experience. She's running against you. And you lose by like, what, 35 points, 40 points, according to Trump. I mean, this is humiliating. A normal person would be like, oh my gosh, I don't know if I can show my face in public at the very least, I've got to recognize I did something to offend my own base. I insulted my own voters. I gave them the middle finger. Now they're giving me the middle finger. This is not good. But it would lose Jaime. None of that. You basically, I'm like Abraham Lincoln. I'm like general grant. My loss is really a victory onto the bigger ones now. This is like this shows a level of psychotic delusion that it's hard to even know. I mean, this is somebody with a ridiculous, absurd ego. And I mean, politicians have big egos, but this is the limit. Now, now contrast this with kinzinger, who I think at least recognizes that he got clobbered by Trump. In fact, he was asked, did he does he believe that he quote won in the feud with Trump? And he goes, no, he goes, he goes, Trump won. He was evidently interviewed by WGN, and here are skins that are quote. Yeah, he won in the short term at least. So, you know, he kinzing is trying to minimize it, but nevertheless he admits,

Liz Cheney for President? Sebastian and Matt Gaetz Discuss

"To be kind. I want to be charitable. She is fired. The people of Wyoming have fired her, but she needs a new job. She has quoted Lincoln. She compared herself to Lincoln yesterday, so she wants to run for the presidency. What is that campaign? What does that campaign going to look like? Can you help me out here, Madame Curie? We have so much to break down on the pending. Liz Cheney for president campaign, but I have a message to Liz Cheney. Just because you collude with The Lincoln Project doesn't make you Abraham Lincoln. The notion that she is having to surrender a crushing defeat and is then teasing a presidential contest just shows like peak Cheney, no exit strategy. No self awareness. Just, I think probably I think a narcissism that is guiding the decision making more than a review of what this lane actually is. So is the communication strategy for a Liz Cheney presidential campaign to have like an angry Dick Cheney growling into the camera about how the greatest threat to the world is Donald Trump. I'm old enough to remember when he was saying the same things about Saddam. You know, is laying there going to run in one that they're going to have to share with Adam kinzinger and Larry Hogan and the governor of New Hampshire sununu, kind of all these people that think that there's this mass calling. But I do think that Liz Cheney has satisfied her key constituency and that is Washington D.C. media bookers. I think Liz will have no problem sort of being on the airwaves. But when you actually get outside of the swamp of Washington D.C. and you talk to the real Americans who are watching and listening to us right now, there's not this great thirst for like a war mongering rhino who abandons the very principles that the American people are relying upon to build the country and ensure

Can We Celebrate the Death of the RINOs? Rep. Matt Gaetz Weighs In

"We're celebrating the death of the rhino species in D.C., but they're not going to go away that quietly, are they? Well, we have seen a number of victories that together show us where the real enthusiasm is in the political right. You know, if Liz Cheney was the only person who voted for impeachment to be rejected by voters, we might view that as just Liz Cheney's complete betrayal of Wyoming, her unwillingness to ever talk about Wyoming, values the fact that she's actually from Northern Virginia, not Wyoming. You could point to those things, but you see Joe Kent defeat Jamie Herrera butler. You see Adam kinzinger quite literally just avoid the judgment of his voters by not seeking reelection. You see someone like Fred Upton certain to face defeat against a candidate that was more pro Trump choosing to forgo reelection. And so I think there's a pattern here that shows how narrow any path is or any constituency is for the reconstitution of the establishment.

Liz Cheney's Story Is Tragic

"Tomorrow's primary day in Wyoming, I actually first delayed and then kind of postponed my vacation be so I could be here this week because it's going to be a big week politically. Liz Cheney's a primary is tomorrow in Wyoming. She's expected to get resoundingly defeated. I don't make predictions. I hate making predictions. If you held a gun to my head and made me predict, I'm going to predict she's going to lose, but that she wouldn't lose. She's not going to lose by 30 points. She won't lose by the margin they're predicting, but she's going to lose. And you know what's really, I have this weird emotion about Liz Cheney and her. Possible political ending day tomorrow. Her political career coming to an end. I don't feel any satisfaction over this whatsoever. I don't have any joy. I've got friends who are like, oh, it's gonna be great. Her day of reckoning is finally upon her. Adam kinzinger, you know, if he were up for reelection, he's not, but if you were, he'd get beat two, all these Trump hating Republicans are getting turned out of office. They're getting defeated. It's great. I just feel overwhelming and profound, sadness. Liz Cheney's story is tragic.

"I am looking at my tea leaves right, and I know where I stand, I'd love for you to be my state senator. I just think the world of you. You are going to be enter primary, but I mentioned Liz Cheney. I mentioned Adam kinzinger, some of these other folks up in D.C. who say, oh, we're really good for Republicans, but man, they're doing all the beating of the Democrats. Now, you've got sort of a similar situation on a local basis, right? Oh, yeah. Yeah. I think about the term wolf in sheep's clothing. And you've heard of rhinos, there's a guy that I'm running against, he's a supervisor in Louisa county, and there's a letter floating out there from a highly decorated Vietnam veteran who also served in this senator dick black and he's done some research and some other people have done some research and they found out that my opponent ran for Republican in the West Virginia House of delegates in 1982. And then he betrayed the Republican Party at a time when the Democrats were pushing the socialist pro abortion agenda. He left the Republican Party and joined that group and he ran at the Democrat in 82 with Walter Mondale and that crowd and then he ran the Democrat in 84 and then he moved to Virginia into this district where I'm running to be the state Senate and ran against one of the most conservative members of the House delegates Frank hargrove and Hanover county, who's a very beloved member of the House of delegates and against governor Allen who was on the ballot and he basically was on the ballot with Clinton. So he supported the Clinton and never seen the guy I mentioned the word Trump support Trump, anything else. He was supposed to be, but I'll tell you what, he's getting money. And so we've got to figure that out because people don't know this. There are

"By Eric Cordis. When Adam kinzinger came to Congress in 2011, the 32 year old air force vet was considered a rising star in the GOP. Today, he's persona non grata within his own party. The Illinois lawmaker among the few House Republicans who have been deeply critical of former president Donald Trump is one of only two on the House committee investigating the January 6th, 2021 attack on the U.S. capitol. Over the course of 8 public hearings this summer, the January 6th committee has painted a devastating picture of Trump's attempts to overturn the 2020 election, leading multiple former federal prosecutors to say that the former president is at greater risk of criminal prosecution than ever before. The panel plans to continue its probe and will hold at least two new hearings in September around the time it will release its preliminary report, sharing its recommendations for how to prevent a similar event from happening in the future. In the meantime, kinzinger says committee members will keep their work in front of the public by releasing videos of testimony that didn't make it into the hearings. The panel released one such video on Monday, showing how, on the day after the attack, Trump refused to call on the Justice Department to press charges against those who stormed the capitol. In an interview with time, kinzinger, who was not running for reelection, discusses what he thinks the committee has already accomplished and where it will go from here. These excerpts from the interview have been edited and condensed for clarity. Question. Do you think the hearings so far have been successful? Kinzinger. I think the hearings have been more successful than I had even hoped for, much less imagined. When you go into this, you underestimate what people don't know. The assumption is everybody knows all the details, or most of them, and can put the story together. But when we laid out not just what happened on January 6th, but what led up to January 6th, it opened a lot of people's eyes. Obviously the production side of it was done in a way that I think made it understandable and brought it to life. Some people have said they think the hearings have damaged Trump politically. Do you agree? And was that a goal of the committee? That wasn't a goal. To be honest with you, when all this started, I didn't think there was a chance he was going to run again anyway. I have a different view now, but I do think it's damaged him. That doesn't mean that he can't be the Republican nominee in 2024, and it doesn't mean that he can't win. But you can just see by his reaction. One of my old email addresses is signed up for his press releases, and he sends like 30 panicked press releases a day. The goal of the committee really was just to get to the answers. We needed to get that information out, as well as whatever legislative recommendations. But we've also uncovered what I believe to be various criminal acts. And I think the Department of Justice has taken interest in that, even though that wasn't our goal. Do you think the committee should make a criminal referral to the Justice Department? And if so, which charges do you think would be warranted?

"Debbie and I here to do a little bit of a Friday roundup and we jotted down a couple of topics, but then when I was talking in the last segment about January 6th, you were sort of reacting and I made the point that these kind of wishful thinking going on on the part of the January 6th Liz Cheney, Adam kinzinger and the Democrats. And they're hoping to persuade these Trump supporters to renege on Trump to turn away from Trump. And I said, you know, confusing wishful thinking with reality. And you said, no, they're not. No, the reason I said that is because I don't think they care one iota about Trump supporters. What they're trying to do is they are trying to use the media. To be there, they're cheerleaders, right? And to change the minds of people that are not Trump supporters and not Biden supporters, that their independent voters, that think that this whole thing is was an insurrection. So they're trying to convince the American people that this was indeed an insurrection.

Rep. Scott Perry Votes to Codify Same-Sex Marriage, Mad He's Caught

"Last night, the House of representatives voted to codify same sex marriage. 47 Republicans voted with the Democrats on this particular issue. Now, it's probably not going to pass the Senate, but if it does, President Biden will sign this bill into law, and it would, while the Supreme Court redefined what God defined as marriage, the House of Representatives is going to codify that. So that would annihilate the original defensive marriage act. Now, we have a list of all the Republicans who voted in favor of this on our website. And I think it's important for you to see for yourself the individuals who are supportive of gay marriage. One of them happens to be a regular on this program, congressman Scott Perry. He is chairman of the House freedom caucus, and I have to tell you, I was a bit surprised to see his name on the list. But anyway, he voted for it, so guess what? His name is on the list. He's a member of leadership, so we pointed that out that he was the chairman of the House freedom caucus. A least stefanik, by the way, who replaced Liz Cheney as chair of the GOP conference also voted in favor as did Liz Cheney the daughter of dick and Adam kinzinger. So we got a we got a pretty nasty note and addressing down from congressman Perry's office today. How dare you? How dare you? And so Grayson's me this message this morning, this text message. And I'm like, what's going on did we get the story wrong? Did he vote? No. No, he did. He voted yes. And his office acknowledges that, they were upset with us because they thought that we would just gloss that over,

"Right In the entire history of our republic this has never happened This unprecedented And I mean it's the cherry on top of the weaponization of Congress's investigatory powers It's shameful it's wrong And look retaken back Trump's Americas It's also if you get your money's work because it's a blueprint for putting Trump back in office but most importantly in the short run is taking Pelosi the hell out of there and getting Trump Republicans in charge of the Congress Maybe we can get our economy back in shape Maybe we can get our border secure Maybe we can stand up to the Chinese Maybe we can have a political system and a legal system that works We don't have that now And Peter one last quick thought Thank you Thank you April One last quick thought about 30 seconds left in this segment Your thoughts on Liz Cheney and Adam kinzinger playing along with this ridiculous unconstitutional outrageous sideshow trying to suppress people's free speech your thoughts on that Can you just be useful idiot I mean he's out of his Cheney is much more dangerous She hates Donald Trump because Trump called her daddy dick for all the people he killed in the Middle East and the treasury we wasted So there's a blood feud going on there He is in no sense a Republican He's in no sense of representative Wyoming She's a Washington D.C. little brat who grew up under the wing of a guy who really wound up killing a lot of people around this world with their responsible endless war policy That's what I think about Liz Cheney

I'm to law school in texas. So it's just a sticks to me a lot union political activism. We've actually worked on several projects together. You've really been a fierce advocate for women's rights. We appreciate so much women around america and across the world due to. How concerned are you really avowed the plight of women in texas and we all know we were just discussing. It is going to follow in a significant number of our states deeply deeply concerned as we all should be because what's happening in texas is setting precedent and impacting the nation and and i've spent time in texas specifically in in in the border towns near brownsville mcallen texas. And just call it what it is. Access to abortion is about race and poverty if you are rich and white chances are you will find access to the healthcare that you need when we restrict women's rights and access to make choices about their reproductive health. What we are doing is restricting. Black and brown women and poor women is more about money than caller go. If you're rich black person you have access to those things. Calm early right particularly in texas. If you're black and brown you have less access to healthcare. That is a fact. And so we're not just talking about the awful restrictions on a woman's right to choose what to do with her own body we're talking about financial oppression we're talking about the systemic kind of oppression that keeps women of color where a lot of people like them pour out of options it impacts all of us and we don't pay not like we pay women of color a fair wage anyway. And we're all powerful and the contributions were making in our families and our communities in our homes are already happening are stories. Need to be told and reflected to the larger narrative but also back to ourselves because what we see teaches us what to believe about ourselves and so we need to tell the story about the power that we already have and that we're already exercising so that we can gain inspiration from what we know. I feel like when. I'm connected to other women. Women of color latino women. I am deeply inspired and reminded of what i'm capable of and people think. Oh you're in the public. Are you have all these achievements. You must just always feel like anything's possible and it's not true. We find possibility in each other. And that's what this community is about. "Who'd be observing tomorrow's nine eleven anniversary with a heavy heart is illinois congressman adam inger who served in both iraq and afghanistan. He joins us now to talk about the current crisis in that part of the world and to tell us what the twentieth anniversary of that fateful september morning means to him. So please welcome back. Republican congressman adam. Kinsey contended sell congressman. Fan of yours into now as somebody who has served this country in both iraq and afghanistan has this country changed since nine eleven. Has it changed for the better or the worse man. Such a tough question to answer you know the things. I would back on nine eleven the day after nine eleven there was a lot of unity. I mean i. You can't say there's unity in this country now. I think we've gotten to where we consider ourselves kind of in our own political tribe before we consider ourselves americans and that's frank the fault of leaders that have spent a lot of time trying to divide people. I think we're better prepared to handle the threat of terrorism than we have been in the past. But you know i i. It's tough to answer on so many different facets but. I hope that we can at least look tomorrow. Doesn't matter where you come down on this debate or the political arguments will take tomorrow and recognize the humanity of what happened twenty years ago and and the lives that were changed and how we as americans need to need to stand together in these tough times. Congressman military operations ended in afghanistan less than two weeks ago. And as i mentioned you know firsthand what that country looks like after serving there. What were your feelings as the last plane left afghanistan. And what are your thoughts about the end of this war. I tell you what. I've talked to a lot of my veteran friends as well and we all have the same feeling. It's almost something you can't put words on. It's it's a sense of of emptiness of hollowness. We recognize that the war needs to end at some point. I think we have a split even among the veteran community on whether it was right to leave. Now we're not. We're not monolithic. In that view but in terms of the humanity of the moment i was glad when the plane left because we were able to avoid further casualties in that very difficult moment. But look at that. And i say on the micro level. We've changed a lot of lives. There's a lot of women that are journalists that are teachers that are out there with hope and opportunity now that never would have had a chance under taliban one point and probably frankly won't under taliban two point. oh but on a geopolitical level. It's hard to look at this as anything. But a strategic failure. A congressman president biden defended his decision to withdraw all troops from afghanistan saying his options. Were to leave or escalate. The situation he also declared the evacuation and extraordinary success. Now you and many others disagree with him. On that assessment. I also tend to disagree with him on that assessment What would a better scenario look like to you and are republicans though being disingenuous here when it really was president trump that broker the withdrawal deal with the taliban last year one hundred percent. There is so much hypocrisy in this debate. Look i blame. Donald trump for the setup of this moment including cutting the troops to twenty five hundred prior to leaving office to to make difficult decision. Even harder And i blame joe biden. For this execution. I think both parties both sides in this case this president. The last one probably all the president's prior own this debacle I think it's really been since. George w bush and maybe a little of barack obama since anybody's even made the case for afghanistan. So i'm so impressed that the american people were willing to stick with it for this long but the execution in the leaving is i think what's broken so many hearts so there is no doubt that air force base should have been the last place we left easily defendable. We could have runner evacuations from there at the point we saw the afghan military collapsing. We should've put those six thousand troops. We put in to defend kabul proper because the taliban had no intention of attacking kabul at that moment. they could've stayed there at that position until we. We went through on our evacuations because august thirty th the end of august was simply a an arbitrary deadline. The had put on himself so in last. I'll say on that. look the evacuation. It was good that we got as many people out as we did. There are a lot of afghan allies to americans and a lot of long-term green card holders that are stuck in. That makes that breaks my heart. That makes me sad. You know i'm congress's is star. Speaking of that after years of terrorizing afghanistan. The taliban is now saying that they're going to be more moderate okay but their new government includes suspected terrorists. And no women just this week. They used whips on female protesters. So how should we be treating the taliban going forward. One of our general says that there could be potential to work with them. I don't even know. Is it possible sir. So i think we have to look at what. The taliban has we recognize as americans love freedom. We love constitutional freedom. Afghanistan has a constitution that constitution in that government was overthrown by force by a military coup of the taliban. I don't think any other time. We'd look at a military coup by an enemy in a country of an ally and say we're looking forward to find opportunities to work with them. The taliban right now Maybe putting on a slightly different front and by the way how. They're acting even now is still atrocious but they may be put on a slightly different front because their cell phones there. There's information that comes out of afghanistan but there will be a moment. I fear when the cell towers come down or the information is locked down and we see the acceleration of the brutalization of women of gaze of people that are different than what the taliban wants them to be. Okay a lot there. So we'll have more with congressman. Adam kings into lonely comeback.
