"There's a threshing and assisting going on in american culture right now because idea that comedians who would not identify as christian or conservative none of the less. They find that. They have an innate sense of wanting to rebel wanting to to crack jokes about things that people say you. Can't you know it's it's kind of a fundamental aspect of comedy and of truth telling which comedies usually a form of truth telling so it's fascinating to me to see people Who might previously have identified as on the left or something pushing back against the cancel culture and the absurdity of this because they usually the ones who are who are doing that with with the right and the right was making the rules and their puritanical. Of course that has all shifted. So because that's strange shift. You're just seeing sifting the culture. I don't i think most people are really unaware of where it's going to go but we know that any self-respecting comedian cannot tolerate this. You can't function as a comedian. No yeah you can't. I mean if you're if you're going to censor yourself in deference to that power that's above you that's telling you what you can and can't say then then you you are the joke. Yeah making jokes. You are the joke comedians at in our situation. You know what we look at what we're doing. Robert accused lately have been accused of punching down punching back. We're not punching down. This is situation. we're culture con. Conservatives are literally on the ropes in the culture battle. yeah and they're defending themselves against this top down attack this top down tyranny from progressive ideology. That's coming from celebrities. It's coming from corporation from politicians. We're not punching down. We're punching back at that stuff.

"She had a strong independent streak. Her particular obsession was the environment. She was the kind of girl who owned a worm farm. And was even jellicoe about composting. She didn't care about clothes and rarely wore makeup. Her uniform was jeans and a t-shirt and occasionally a half necklace. She liked the smashing pumpkins and rem. These qualities were not unusual in anyone who grew up and the grungy alternative nineteen ninety s. I think that literally describes my entire wardrobe like sophomore and junior year of high school. For sure right. That's pretty much like what you and me and the rest of our friends were tight. Rolled ripped jeans with concert. T-shirts i think i had like three. Ram t-shirts siamese dream. T shirt for sure. Yeah she sounds like someone that we would have definitely hung out with in school. Did you have worm farms. No but i was like the only began in our entire high school and probably entire town growing up and was huge into the environment and recycling and saving the rainforest. Everything so yes. She sounds like someone that we definitely would have been friends with dan in the late mid to late ninety s like nobody knew what veganism was and looked at. You like you're insane if you didn't want eat meat so yeah my whole family pronounce it and like no one knew what the fuck was So yeah while we would have been friends with karen Basically she was kind of a square peg in long beach. Which is a suburb of la. Where she and her mother. Mary were living as she entered high school. She began to act out a bit and mary was also working a lot so the situation was not ideal. Mary's brother bill and his wife. Anne suggested that. Karen come with them in eureka. The house they had was about a ten minute drive from eureka proper down several country. Roads enveloped by leafy ferns trees. It was the perfect setting for a budding environmentalist. Karen settled in well with them. She was a good student. She had friends and was very well. Liked on the morning of november. Twenty fifth nineteen ninety-seven. Karen chatted with her mom on the phone about college financial aid applications. It was a tuesday. But karen was off school. That week for thanksgiving break. She still had to get to her job at a daycare in town though so she rode into your rico with her aunt and hung out at the shoe store that her aunt own for a little while before setting off on foot to the daycare. She walked north on a street. That in your rica is sometimes referred to as broadway but which really is just a stretch of us. One one that runs through the town. She never made it to her job. A witness claims he saw karen get into a blue sedan driven by an older white man shortly after leaving the mall where her aunt worked. This man has never been identified though. Too high profile suspects were nd in connection with the case. The i was convicted murderer. Wayne adam ford who fit the witnesses description of karen's kidnapper but though he confessed to several murders for denied any involvement in cairns case police were never able to take him to the crime. The second suspect was robert durst subject of the documentary. The jinx durst appears to have visited cairns. Aunts shoe store several times and was in eureka..

"Built a very impressive kind of business track record. Ah, lot. One thing that drives me the most. Let's just say mad is when young people say I'm going to college to study entrepreneurship, I say, Why would you go to study entrepreneurship? They're not gonna learn any to study entrepreneurship being you do entrepreneurship. You don't study it. You're probably learning from people that I've never created anything. How do you build your business? How did you do this? What is your advice? And you? And like, what would you tell someone that says, I want to go be an entrepreneur, which, by the way, half infuriates me because like this really cool buzz word or they think you get to have all the nicest cars and all the freedom and Actually pretty awful. At times. I think that a lot of people went Wednesday described themselves as entrepreneurs. You know, they're basically unemployed and they're using a different word for it, right. I think, you know. Well, okay. My haste, my history. My experience started out in the Internet marketing world. I got into a booming industry early on in like 4 4005. I sort of working like the search, marketing and search engine optimization world. You know, with Google AdWords, and he's different marketing platforms that companies were starting to dump billions of dollars into and so I was managing ad campaigns for a lot of different companies. And so I'm like I'm running ads for like insurance companies or lawyers or people that do like Like garage storage, build outs or steel toe shoes or or waterproof boots, stuff like anything, anything you can imagine. And so I kind of learned the ins and outs of how to like, drive traffic to websites and monetize it on the back end and make it all work. Get a return on your ad spent on I learned that for a number of different businesses, whether you're you know you're selling in retail or generating leads or whatever you're doing. S o. I got a really good feel for how all of that worked and I decided I would strike out on my own. And just how do I run my own Internet marketing agency. So I started doing ad campaigns for my own clients, and I very quickly realized Having clients is like having bosses. You know, I have, like 30 clients. And it means I have, like 30 bosses. I'm answering. All of them s so I quickly wanted to transition out of that. And I basically decided. Look, I have I know how to make money online because I've run all these campaigns. I just need to work with someone who knows how to build applications. Web applications, APS things like that on star partner with my brother back in 2012. We struck out kind of on the side. He was working as an engineer, and I was working as an Internet marketing manager. On Guy said, Hey, look, I got all kinds of ideas for sites I wanna build. If you can do the back end of it and build this stuff. I'll do the marketing in the business development manager all of it on, so we started dabbling in on the side a little bit. On DWIs in, Like six months. We were bringing enough revenue on her side business. We could quit our jobs. So we just very quickly got her feet wet, just trying stuff, and I'm not everything succeeds. You know, we've had acquisitions that failed. We've had startups that failed. But, you know, the idea has always been, you know, throw some stuff out there and see what sticks and just keep at it, and it doesn't have to be a situation where you quit your job to do it. You know, you always get started on the side and play around with it, but it's a trial and everything. Don't think I ever could have studied anything that would have prepared me for taught me how to do it. You just gotta died in So, uh, that's Zaveri. Good advice. What do you say to uh You know, young people that are under the belief that you can't succeed in this country that there's too many barriers. Kind of that victimology viewpoint. That is really kind of infected. A lot of young people. Oh, my goodness, Man, you know, look based on my experience. It doesn't matter who you are, where you are, especially in the Internet Age. With the tools that are available at our disposal. Anybody can succeed literally. Anybody. All you need is a computer in an Internet connection. I mean, you know, it might help to have a credit card that has a least a few $100 of available balance on it. But you know you can. Anybody can get started with something having idea and push it out there on bake it work. I mean that the methods of advertising I'm just like in my background in search marketing Search marketing allows you to connect with with with fire searchers who are looking specifically for what you're selling. It's not like putting a billboard out there were like maybe someone who wants your service will see it. It's like you only show your ads to people who are actively searching for whatever you're selling. That's so efficient and effective. You're going to do sales in that environment. So it's so easy to just with with the Internet in the these days to start something up and just make your own, you know, make a chart your own path. I completely agree. How do people follow you and find out more about your websites and the projects that you're doing? Battle on B and thinker? Dork? Yep. Yeah, Babylon be we now have not to be. I don't know if you've heard of not to be, but that's about it. Not to be. Is the news so crazy? It should be satire but somehow isn't s So if everybody is entertaining and funny as Babylon be, but is actually all true news stories, so that one's a lot of fun. And like Buddha judges like involved with it or they paid for Hillary Clinton somewhere in her past someone from Moore campaign or something was involved. It's beautiful I mean. It's like imagine the smile on Mr Trump's face is trump's tweet about three hundred we're talking about this. Trump is like giving the state of the Union now after impeachment has collapsed and Democrats are in chaos. And he's got this huge approval ratings libs worst nightmare sued last night. I actually have been like been sick and so I fell asleep early again last night and I kind of felt bad because I was going to try to stay up till like midnight tonight to report on the caucus results when they came in and I woke up I was like what the heck is showing. You know there's this. Jumbled this jumbled field over there in the Democratic Party yeah we're supposed to sail through the Iowa caucuses and then we're supposed to have a real clear idea of where things stood at least we still don't oh anything he's just so funny. One more thing I can say on the news thing before we can wrap up the topic but one thing I respect about you Adam. This is the only thing I respect about you but Is that gun collection. He well that too but he you unplug yeah intentionally yes. I think that's the key you find that balance like you. Maybe a year off if you're probably too many Reuben does a month every year. Yeah but like Adam will go out and you'll email out that newsletter and you students with the Bible and be like. I'm not running it this week. I'm out in the mountains. Okay and it's just like this unplugging of and then maybe we need that. I think that that like you got to like I'm just getting compartmentalize your news and take off and then I tried to set aside. I've been trying to turn my phone off at five nice cigars ours and it's hard for me but I'm trying so anyway. We gotta do that especially if you take in as much external stimuli as I do every single day it's just constant you gotta give. What was this some some years ago? I hit me and I was like you know I always I always get the maybe for comic Suzy's comics or the B. I want to get the best ideas when I'm brushing my teeth. Or when I'm in the shower I thought why is that. That's the only time I don't have seventeen screens in my face where I can actually form thoughts. You know that aren't dependent on what my eyeballs are looking at absolute so that was kind of an epiphany for me so not only the the week off when when I go to Tennessee or wherever I'm going but daily I for instance when I go on a run like most people listen to music or podcasts or something like that I don't intentionally I don't I don't take my phone with me. Nothing I just think while I'm running or I go for walks just with no phone. No nothing it's a recharges you and your brain needs time to process stuff. You can't just be In all the time you gotta you gotTa gotTa have some time to process right. Yeah I like when I read the Bible in the morning when I remember to that is that it's the sense of like I'm being anchored and things is that our eternal and transcendent and then and then I'm going off to war and this do crazy. Chaos of things that are going to be hearing tomorrow so I feel like that time is super important important. "That's their that's the the opposite of the opposite but then I want to know what is the goal to their goal is to well the goal the ultimate goal. Is Virtue Sick Nick. But but the the stated goal is to have representation of every single cross-section every single intersection imaginable symbol. which controls is ultimately the the fatal flaw in that particular world view? Because there are there are theoretically an infinite a number of intersections. You can never account for every intersection. You can divide people by race by sexual orientation and you know hypothetically infinitely by age by attractiveness by weight by hair-color by until you get down to what the the individual which is what people in the West figured out hundreds of years ago. The individual is what matters. That's why none of it makes sense. Ultimately we should come up with a new intersection section. Right now go ahead do it. transgender person who likes string cheese and can't whistle very good. Well that's problematic because cheeses made from cows and so then that means you're not a Vegan are non vegans not people to well. They're problematic people so it's intersections of oppression. So we have to think of things that are to me. It seems like people that are into this way of seeing things things is like they found this guy who's like the street magician or no he's like the guy in Gremlins has like a tink at a shop of tricks. He's like these glasses will help you to see the world. You'll be angry and everything and you will have enemies all the evil in the world. That's not really there but it makes you feel great about yourself. Thank you then they put on like oh good now we do. An article about no problems will be solved that we did a great job. We did a goggles article. Oppression goggles or something I think I pitched hitched it many times. But it's never quite hit feel should run it today. Man We did. never got going on now we do have what you going on right now oh yes let's talk about that I just launched him news outlet extremely busy I like it I get the newsletter every day and and caught up on the news nice little bite size I know the people behind us guys are good guys that you explain the news with me can't just with mere words it's almost like facial expressions when you're talking in person you know I can't see you guys right now you know I can't see how you guys are shaking your head and looking Title I get that all the time get enough go ahead I only get enough information to like be stories yeah and then I'm done and so to be able to follow discern it's kind of Nice because now that's like my that's my whole thing is just discern that's my that's my only news site that fall on on social media very thank you matter on the weighty things the consequential things but also mixing in just some good news and like some interesting stuff and it's maybe not consequential but is like so few news articles will even tell you like the basic facts of where something happened when it happened you know who said it whatever they'll jump right into the hot takes so I pull up pull up like a CNN piece and there'll be a thousand words and Mike You didn't even tell me where this campaign stop was where this happen you know and that's all I need for my piece I need where's the city and I look for you need the factually accurate satire it's crazy it's like nobody nobody just does a a summary ah yeah and that's what we do we do a summary and so you know I'm a conservative I'm a Christian I it's never tried to hide that I've that's what am and but we don't do so we have opinion pieces sometimes but we're not opinion news so we don't have headlines with cap capitals you know an exclamation points and we're not doing what like daily wire is doing which God bless him I love the daily wire but we said you could you never mind so we don't you could tell that we're a conservative site by what we were a conservative focused site where we are serving Christian and concern take readers by the topics that we choose to cover but the topics that we cover the stories that we cover we cover in a very objective way does that make sense yeah well that's another area that you see bias in a new sites is not just what they cover and how the cover but what they don't cover yeah you know right you skip over you see we're skipping that one like Kardashian now they're all about the whole front page of discernment now because She's been kind of an unexpected nice topic for weeks I can't think of any other you know you can only cover some so I i read hundreds of news articles a day and you can't cover all of them you know so you just choose to cover what you think people like us would want to know about so I've been swimming in the news every single day all day for years now and so I have a pretty good idea of what i WanNa know about what people like me you WanNa know about and and that's the kind of stuff covered I think one thing you guys do that a lot of the new sites you'll you'll find stories that might have gone under the radar stream media you know we try to do that for surgeon Dr Guy that had like thousand babies in his trunk or whatever it's brutal man how is that now I tweeted that how is that not a national news story that's Insane Twenty twenty four hundred and eleven preserved I mean this is Kinda grim maybe we won't talk about it so we don't have to have a disclaimer at the beginning of you'd be podcast at the sad thing is how like it's like Oh yeah I mean just it it it should be more shocking than it is it should be incredibly shocking over twenty four hundred rem the remains of over twenty four hundred born babies that the guy kept in his on his property in his house and in the trunk of his Mercedes Benz and people don't even report on suing cycle what is he doing these things got like a is it a weird hobby or trying to Jack Hammer definitely what's the knowledge is like another medical practitioner like they got like Jerry like a dentist with jars of teeth lining his house or something like nobody knew hey it'll make teeth in here now that will be decisively less grim than what would be less grim but like people it's almost like people would freak out more something things are just so turned upside down I know right so it's a it's it's reminiscent of a serial killer that collects trophies sorry to be so on the nose but it's just my way imagine if it or like you know what I haven't seen this espoused anywhere it may have been in I haven't said this yet but it just came to mind imagine if it were a veterinarian you know that captain all these bodies of all these baby dogs or something like that twenty four hundred of them and they found that Oh my gosh you guarantee you that'd be front page news on CNN weird to it would be so we have we do have some hate mail here and you WanNa like Yeah you try to dive into that let's do some email so if you wanna do the heat meal in this section way do we get the i Miss Atom Ford Song while Adam Fords on the podcast listen to this I really miss Adam Ford four interrupted his own jingle I didn't know is a song thing I guess you haven't listened in awhile wow sad that's got auto tuned well I don't listen to a whole lot of stuff because I don't have enough down to to listen to things by the last full one I listened to was with that what was her name Kiara occurred yeah people like you she was sharp she was super if I really enjoyed that interview a lot you know we gotta get her back so good she was very sharp I yeah she's I liked her she was cool got it to cure so Before we jump into this eight mail I'll say we're doing some I Miss Adam fourteen mile yes we found a few twitter comments and email and stuff people say they miss out of so let me just ask first before we jump into this what I mean how do you feel when you see people say stuff like this like i Miss Adam Ford and and Seth in Kyle ruin the site I think that person has a good shoulders they know what they're talking about they have they can see clear is what's definitely happened and I you know I d I'm an offer to buy them coffee that's beautifully it was funny to me is that we did we did the transition before we announce the transition we transitioned from Adam to me and seth running it before we announced it was a month or two later or something that was designed that was strategic we got all this like we have things have really changed that was my that that's exactly why I did that Kyle because not only so that you could say that to people but so that you know a month before we announced the Transition Kyle was already running it and so if we start getting all these emails about something that's way different will then we know we tweak something but we didn't it's also funny to me that like you're kind of a super political person probably more political than either are definite I am I I think at least before I started in the Bambi I didn't care about politics at all an atom was more into that you know especially if you look if you read your comics you're always addressing culture war issues politics. I mean just the fact you're wearing a news site now in your voluntarily digging through all these news stories yeah jumping on that grenade for US yeah it is easy going you know to what you just said Kyle when we launched when I launched the B we had I don't know I counted it when I was when I went on twitter and started yelling at people because someone said something about how I didn't like the be anymore or something like that there was what seventeen or eighteen articles populating the site on the day that we launched in like eight of them were explicitly political here I was just looking through on the other day it's like Bernie Sanders burning a businessman immolating a businessman on stage at a rally you have Bill Clinton he'll the dragon about you know trying to loan brutal young female voters you had all these it was a bunch of political stuff it always has been I wonder if part of that is that what kind of stuff went viral more at the beginning of the church stuff that when we were violent the beginning thing so I think that might be what happened our audience has shifted yeah over time to wear a lot of the church jokes have been played out like a lot of the worship leader ones and stuff yeah you can't make jokes about yeah that's definitely part of it you know the the culture that the Christian culture jokes there's only so many of them and use them up in the first year but politics is just the gift that keeps on giving especially these days you know yeah and those ones get shared so much more I mean that's one thing I've noticed since I've come on especially if it's something that's going on right now and it's in the experience well current events you know that's that's that's the thing that's evergreen there's always new current events and there's always new things that have opinions about an especially these days his politics is is the new entertainment I mean it I think a lot because a big reason is because of trump and just you know how crazy things are but I read that for instance the The Muller hearing had higher ratings than the game of thrones series season no series finale so game of thrones is like one of the most popular shows ever the very last game of thrones episode ever the Muller hearings had more viewers how many people streamed the mole hearings though I have no idea but I know that it was not as many as a game of thrones which is crazy I mean it's just kinda crazy to talk about and it it's sort of illustrations of the way things are you know and that's one thing about there's this thing about do you know should Christians really be involved in politics in this and that and one of my answers that now is is if Christians are going to be involved in anything you know politics are what everyone's involved in now yes weird to like not have an opinion on things that are make clear statements about you know especially things like abortion but all this stuff I it says something about what you're a belief about humanity is about mankind is what are what the point of life is like so it goes deep so just stand back and say you don't have an opinion on it I always find that I feel like a person's either protecting themselves or you know it just I find I find that bizarre when the person is a person of faith and they have no opinion which is pretty rare to find maybe ask your bosses listening or something I don't know who knows like you could the people this is what they say you know but yeah ever if you've ever had an opinion about anything of any consequence in you're gonNA people are going to disagree with you you know it's just uh-huh uh-huh hail dig in his hate mail yeah okay dramatic reading taste Babylon has moved from witty sarcasm to just plain snarky Hashtag snarky Hashtag label definitely and then when I was there you're the gold standard cannon we are Apocrypha your terrible you ruined but anyway go to the next one for I get mad all right here's one we want you to get mad when I started wishing I started scheduling a few posts on Sundays I I try to schedule them like in the afternoon like after a you're scheduling few and then he starts usually thousand list understand a so so adam for was running the Babylon either was never ever a single post ever on Sundays and that's the truth and I feel definitely matters so so I've I've been scheduling a few like in the afternoons Kyle and I just know I'll just note that I never I never looked finger you know I just schedule them in advance on Friday Friday yeah so this guy says done done this guy posted on facebook I think Adam Ford never posted on Sunday you have broken the Sabbath Stones think there'd be funny but yeah yeah I think is when I do the instagram posts it's an and.

"Was fantastic and I was like okay here we go in so kyle was really instrumental in in early on developing the voice of the FBI and making the toward it is because I needed to be an I launched the B but it was more I I knew there was there was a void out there that there was that there was a need for something like it but I I really did think it would be more of like a side project when I launched it you know so I hadn't put a whole ton of thought into it and all that I just tried you know you just go in there and you just experiment and see what works and what doesn't in Kyle just like worked right from the go and he he really was instrumental in helping the whole like as as everyone knows it now he's tearing up I really like this is my favorite interviews so far Es Is Adam Ford Pajamas that he wears. I'm actually I actually am wearing an atom Ford shirt right now all you really which one that theology nerd and Kyle is like the guy that constantly emails you all the time like I'd lose well he actually is like when we launched cassandras on one of the first ones to email in now it's like now I'm like oh my gosh telling my wife Oh my Gosh Kyle invited me to come to a podcast on the Babylon kyle is like this big big Christian superstar now oh my gosh what are we going to deal with the turntable think about Kyle's working with two of the greatest Webcam Emma Curtis in on the Internet today Oh my goodness Adam Ford Adam Ford and ex-cop wild here he's the sandwich yeah it's true so you know it's funny about Adams he's like this he's a shadowy figure who like yeah like changes he he he's got a different voice though needs to talk like James Earl Jones is something I'm just think I'm just thinking he liked changes all of Christianity but like you just hiding in the shadows and you haven't built like a platform of like I am Adam Ford I'm a celebrity worship me and you go speak at conferences and crap though no you know you're just like you just like create these properties and send him out there then you're like Bam out he dropped the MIC? Yeah I've always I've always been very the whole idea of being like a oh known person Internet celebrity or whatever done thing you want to call it it's always been very not appealing to me it partly because it is appealing to me you know like in Kyle knows this because I've lectured him numerous times When when I sold the beat seth in we're in the process of Kyle taking over Kyle you're going to have to listen to me lecture you right now about this about the dangers of seeking to be a a famous Christian celebrity Blah Blah just because I've I've seen you know we all want that like we wanna be yeah we wanna be really liked and we wanna be you know five followed and we want to be have power but how many times have we seen that be people's downfall I mean now more than ever you know it's it's just something that you know I don't really trust myself with all that too much is that I mean is that part of the reason that you that you sold the B. Or is it was it mostly though censorship thing you've talked about yeah that was a big part of the reason yeah I mean there was so many reasons there was tons of reasons but that was sort of one of the reasons yeah I mean I I've always been just kind of you know I it's just kind of the idea of everywhere I go people wanted to talk to me about the B. and stuff like I never I don't know it makes me uncomfortable I don't know it's just partly because I have anxiety and all this junk in its is kind of weird to me it's not it's not a comfortable situation for me to be in you know so that was a part of it yeah so I'm curious just like you're the atom Ford story like as I remember I've found one of the few interviews with you on the Internet and saw that you had you'd come to faith later in life yeah you aren't a youth group conversion you know was that the world interview I carry my camera it was it was about the Bible on me but I was just curious about that like I think that's fascinating because it's you know it's it's unique for people to I mean even I came to Christ in in high school yeah a lot of kids I don't really remember I might have been six yeah yeah that's probably because I I did a couple interviews with our launch to be to try to you know I don't know to get publicity for the B. or whatever and I've done a couple since this is my very first podcast ever though for the Dow thank you ever an honor honor Sir you know I I grew up in a home that was not Christian and I was a staunch atheist by school and I was You know I just thought that I just agreed with what you're told which is that at eighty are smart. You know if you're smart you're atheist if you're dumb than your religious like just what you're told by by culture and at school and by people you know what I'm talking about is no I'm smart I'm an atheist you know there's no God and I read a lot of stuff Nihil I was very nice mystic I read I've always been a big reader and even when I was a young high school where I was reading Nici in in all this kind of dark sort of hi logistic stuff and I loved reading each e in high school what's really pro that was really popular nice just hanging out reading Ichi was always that wasn't not not when I was in high school how old he now's Joke Oh sorry I thought you being serious a really good job too because you explained it good breath sorry continue you know I'm disappointed your voices not cracking as much as I was hoping it would during this I've been practicing using air beyond my voice I realized project more and I there's left and also I just finished recording a really long audio book so you I've been warmed up yeah talk about me where the heck was highschool read needs yeah yeah really into being Nathan and just kind of being a contrarian in getting in trouble is a big troublemaker I was I did a lot of bad things when I was younger and gotten a lot of trouble at school and all this and all that and you know through through a crazy series of events that did not involve like a tragedy or anything like that it would take a long time to tell the whole series of events but but God basically you know reached out and got me so my my experience taught me to be reformed before I knew what that word meant or to have to place a high priority on the sovereignty of God before I knew it any of that mentor I didn't know anything about the allergy anything that anything but I knew none of it made sense when it happened and so I was I was about twenty one and everything just started ranging in my life through a few people who were talking to me and I I became a Christian it was sort of a radical conversion and I started reading the Bible every day and all these things it was kind of like I was shocked and I felt betrayed and everything else when I would read these things all these things I had been told were true and I would read apologetic and I would see US Louis was big for me when I was in my little conversion stage Tim Keller and I was like wait a minute this isn't so cut and dry this isn't so obvious is all these people tell me that at it is that that naturalism is the only thing that's real and there's no such thing as a spiritual life and Jesus didn't really exist all this stuff and it kind of went from there mm-hmm yeah that's cool so but you're not a calvin EST anymore because you shave your beard now Miss Reform imply has might still confused by what reform though Calvin is also communists would actually be more accurate description of me because I'm not like classically performed reformed as a bunch of I don't know it's got a bunch of baggage with I think everybody knows but but me it means it means a lot more things than just being honest calvinism implies like Sotirios logically you hold to calvinistic view basically and it's very more loosey Goosey. interesting interesting yeah I know we have what are the main thing is I feel like a lot of people are going to want to hear this interview and there's going to be all these questions will they would ask the podcast they'd be yelling at their stereo right now and we'd probably gloss pass them because we get to talk to animal time but not on voice I don't think people it's called discern it's spelled D I S R N and it's doing very well and it's only about two weeks old and it's keeping me it's very simple you're good at you're going to keep things simple yes ever I respect that so seth told us but got together and talked about what things we could do together after the B transaction he and I have become good friends and we settled on this news thing I've been running a Christian daily reporter for some time now at a couple of years and we thought what if we made a news outlet that instead of just being like a drudge style page of links it actually summarizes the the news story of smart way in a sustained way and so leaves you there with a link to something longer to AP article or whatever if you want to read more than just the crucial details in so Dan we worked a long time mostly I worked a long time but we worked a long time before discern launched and lost a couple of weeks ago we've got a little staff and things are things are going well we've got a great little team and WE'RE GONNA be we're newsletter century and so I've got my newsletter also which is called the Atom Ford newsletter which since you asked you can sign up for Adam Ford newsletter DOT COM and send it every day Monday through Friday and it's just kind of my little you know it was a more natural segue than you'd think from satire to real news I was so immersed in in the news cycle already and and I just kinda offer a little summary of the six or eight most important news items that have happened in the last twenty four hours in my take on it you know I offer my little take on most of it with a little bit of humor and irreverence mixed in there and it's great people are loving it yeah I get that you dig it very enjoyable you're very enjoyable guy Thank you take on things I like Oh Jeez you know what I used to be anti emoji until I started I kind of embraced them and then I read a little bit about them and then I considered it there's it's kind of sounds dumb to say it but there there's a level of communication that you can portray using emojis that you can made each other by how dumb this interview is but I could feel it but I can't see it but but like with emojis you know you can kind of convey that sorta facial expression thing so I embraced them and I thought you know what I'm Emoji guy now I'm cool with it I don't I don't really follow a lot of news sites because it's depressing tim thank you yeah and simple as what we're going for and I learned a while ago with running CPR the importance of you report on the things that is you know sort of uplifting interesting you know one thing I noticed when I'm trying to find information for Babylon BP's.

"I am calm and I'm here with my friend Hollywood and we're all talk that's what we're calling that name dropping Hollywood friends it Calls Judas Priest Rob Helper Ellen's comments on what you say and I didn't want to go listen to it and that's the basic thing she said it'd be nice to people the left has become such a religion like you feel like this is the kind of thing the left would there the the religious fundamentalists would have said like fifty years ago take no undergrowth septic tank that would be hard to walk if you're underground that have to rise up so if it's a container you could actually it could actually have legs okay with links pleasure all right Next story survey finds more people would support impeachment if they knew what crime trump was supposed to have committed I know I would but crime did well he talks to you crane president obviously in said stuff so this is that wasn't ready to talk I wrote this I wrote this and I was like it's just the frustration of like all these people have been screaming about impeachment for years yeah you know and it's like whatever the latest thing is also Ukraine now it's Ukraine you know we're supposed to it's like they I use this joke in an article this week but it's like they use the email the MIB flashy thing you know the the Anura laser and they hold up everybody look at this you just forgot about the Russian collusion controversy now it's time to move onto Ukraine scream I don't know I'm sure he did some CD stuff you know but you can look at all the crazy things other presidents have done I'm like I don't I don't know they want us to feel like it's like way above and beyond can't be really outraged about it I'm just not I I just can't I'm not saying he didn't do anything wrong or whatever I'm just saying I don't care it's just like the thing on the list of things that we've been we've been totally have to freak out about right is it feels like what they when somebody tries to explain to you how you should be so upset about trump they a they offer like the first two thirds of the explanation or maybe even the first third and then the last two like third or two thirds is them waving their hand you like come on it notting they're like you get it outrageous now you're mad right like you fill in the blanks right on the banks and I've got to finish this you get yeah but you don't get it yeah so he talked to the president and asked him to investigate Joe Biden they start you you're like you nod yeah yeah okay I guess I'm mad about that they fill the rest of that trump derangement maybe for me it's Mike Contrary Unisom you know it's like post mad about something I'm like wait a minute yeah trying to trick me aren't you that is I am too everybody's outraged about something I'm like immediately my first thing is to go well let's see what the what's the other side when something seems absurd I want I want to figure it out is obviously other things aren't just absurd because they're absurd right is there's two sides of every story anyway or three this is a four yeah many how many signs like if it's a cube there'd be succeeds at that store I don't I'm not a cubist but do you associate with people who are known cubists you can't even have a commerce nation with Cuba Cuba gooding junior cubist wow price mark Cuban cigars we should smoke Cuban cigars cubist keeping with Dan subway him joining us you've been trying to so this week we have a special guest we get to interview Adam for effect put on your voice for that I got nothing nothing but yeah music to do the Bible Man Song again with more laser my son saying how dare you gene we're going to talk to them right now presenting an exclusive battle on the interview Oh the cow we're here we are in the studio live with the life size a life-size cardboard cutout Adam Ford with a little goatee the go-to he used to have a beard did you shave them yeah I saved a while ago much to my own shame I apologize for admitting that but yeah been clean shaven for lost all his is lost all your superpowers you shave every day it seems like a lot of work every two days I'm ahead of the curb you ahead of the curve it'll be shaving here pretty soon that's what happens when you stop writing satire I know start cleaning yourself taking showers lost all my powers I got week I uh really no longer calvinism it was from my my the funk I was in from from the Babylon be getting utterly ruined after I stopped running yeah it's really sad the how far the science fallen since the days of Adam right now it's like Babylon it's not even Babylon anymore it's like Babylon de-mining c. minuses plus you've been holding that one has thought of that mcabe didn't so yeah so you called to be rate US and yeah everybody says that this site so great balcon Adam Ford returning things in no politicians there's no politics clearly yeah clearly you hate us now now now I shave every two days and I wear sackcloth and it's terrible do you scrape all your boils with pottery no now I leave him there okay suffer so for anybody who doesn't Know Adam Ford founded the Babylon be all the years ago three years ago three and a half years ago the godfather of the babbling be so we're gonNA talk to him and ask him what kind of what's he up to they do now and we kinda guy he's very mysterious we're GONNA WE'RE GONNA get we're gonNA get the whole origin story kind of like the joker movie this is like the atom movie and Ataman be played by Walking Walking Phoenix I've seen very few pictures of Adam I've seen the back of his head I've seen him on facebook friends I've seen pictures of you you recognize guy thanks you know what's funny is that this is actually Adam paid me to act like I'm Adam Ford and do this interview Avatar I was wondering how we got you yeah pretty much he's got to me doesn't like this kind of stuff yeah yeah he's he's there he's doing like the he's holding up cue cards for you right now in a dark corner frantically scribbling don't say that with his big his beard hanging down you know like a prophet a profitable tissue boxes on his feet looking like Howard Hughes come in with the milk commend with the milk he's got the foil blanket the aluminum foil of Lincoln to protect them from all the I love that movie by the way I don't know we were talking about the aviator Howard Hughes so you didn't get my come in with the milk reference because that was a good one no I was I was playing along brutal like yeah he drinks milk tissue boxes on even should our head he shook his head at me when you said that like I don't know what he's starting brutal but so this is hard hitting interview Oh what so why the heck did you create the Babylon be Adam so that seth could buy it and you guys could ruin it basically wow thanks that's brutal created the Babylon be because it was one of those ideas that just like wouldn't let go of me so I have lots of ideas I'm an idea person and had that one for a really long time and eventually I just kind of had to acquiesce in do it you know what I mean and I think like a big part of it was through the Obama years in the burger failures seeing now following the onion like you know most people did back then not so much anymore but in seeing how like just how effective they were at speaking into the situation in make like they would crack these jokes just run these just piercing satirical news pieces and it would make me think like man that's good like that makes me WanNa believe what they believe or that makes me is that I was on that side or whatever whatever and I thought man we have nothing like that like we have nothing like that and so eventually I just I just did it all question no that's all right good talking to you yeah all right so you guys but so how did you in kyle get connected let's go the people kind of know the streaming Kyle's told many times on this show that he submitted tend to you the atom Ford point of view on this meeting of friends well it was a god hearing is the short answer and I've said that a number of times it was definitely a God but soon the whole Babylon be was you know and with Kyle it was like it becomes more apparent how much of a guy the thing was the more like the further you get from it when you look back at it because so when I launched so I created the battle on B I literally I registered the domain literally two weeks before we launched so it was a two week thing like hardly slapped a drink a bunch of coffee I built the thing I recruited a few people and in the little the little launch article you know like the article so we populated it with I don't know like fifteen years however many articles on launch day and then the launch article which since we never talked about take so it definitely did not feature an image of Barack Obama crying in that article it was like you know we're accepting are reader submissions because I thought well this'll be something that people will think is cool and people will want get on board with and see if they can do it and solar idea people did so after I don't know three four five days I don't remember how long it was I had to take the link down and everything because I had I had their Amore e mails and I could possibly read but one of the first ones was from this kyle man dude and it was good I don't remember what the first one was that he sent me but it was like oh great and so I'm thinking Oh man most of these submissions are good you know canals like wow this is really good and he just kept sending stuff and I kept drawn a number and then I and then I was like he had like the first the first like other than the launch the first actually story that just on his own merit like went viral was was a kyle in special and it was the Holy Spirit fog machine one yeah it.

"Aimed dropping them this talking about reality that I live in I don't remember it was something that happened on the pond yet I didn't think I think with Keller Skinny namedrop way big name dropper than I am Aruban Miami and Jeff Dunham hanging out with Jeff Dunham's puppets the other day and how he talks I'm riding around on my bike and I'm just kidding we love you know it's a good time Wellesley namedrop named Sony people because he even us privately he's like Oh yeah nor McDonald no well that was in private like that that wasn't more easily that wasn't privately that was on the recorded portion we lost remember the normal but he also but also and if you guys missed that podcast I had a lot of people vestige me and tell me is the funniest one so far it was very funny I really funny it's like three Comedians walking into a room it helped that we had a professional comedian on the podcast guy who's like in doing it for years but yeah it was funny cast don't miss the last podcast with Kelly I can you might be like who's that guy you don't know about stand up comics but he's so funny people who reprimanded US having a latter day saint on our broadcast it got a couple responses that Ono some like sending assault scriptures around out there is and Seth had has some customer service people took over the emails yes and so sometimes I don't see shit someone will someone before I get to and then I don't see it clearly because we had a latter day saint on our show we completely agree with all things yeah we've become the Babylon be latter day saint I just I just did my first temple ceremony Oh really the hot tub temple what was that that was in the subscriber portion you either immediately said we're gonNA reveal what's going on in the hot tub temple was like what China's random now but we could get to where you're calling me Hollywood 'cause I'm proud of myself I hung out with Henry Winkler signing autographs this weekend okay Hollywood go that's mine and dropped you're allowed to name drop him though because you actually Gila straighted his book yeah you guys should get it which is a New York Times bestseller right and in the end if it's bestseller for two weeks Arro- than I get a little bit more money and I need it so go by it it's called alien superstar Henry Winkler and his writing partner Lin Oliver wrote it and I did all the drawings fifty drawings here by me and I got to go to Barnes and noble and sign books with Henry Winkler and hang out with them and their kids came with me and they had no idea who this guy was my thirteen year old I just like staring at her book coming so bored dude we're hanging out with injury winkler so I assume people just walked right past him and went right to you you nobody was even talking about when he lived there knew who I was I thought there might be one nobody brought acts com- comics to get finders and there might be some people there who knew about ex-cop but they probably didn't make the connection that acts cop guy because they would probably thinking like Oh x. successful successful he wouldn't like be taken as old gigs drawn pictures for kids books yeah but y'all got to make money somehow but you would you ready for some stories of the week let's do it you were my button I have a button you always ruin these tr I haven't learned how to do this I gotta get a hanging on every week in these are some of them Kyle just pointed meekest he wants me to do the next week but I'm ready because I was trying to do the last and the reason is I lost the last the whole document it was the Bible man saw to it crashed on me Bible man who Bible man we did the Bible man reboot so we've been doing reboot stories than none of them are true just like all other articles well I thought they were true I've been doing these photoshop take way too long compared to the amount of shares they got it's a labor of love even though I didn't really grow up watching these but it's still fun reimagining weeded Bible man Cage Bible man in Reboot Film Bible men goes back in time to stop Satan from planting dinosaur fossils in the Earth my favorite part of this one was photo shopping seat writing a pterodactyl yeah I'll there was a very serious I walked into the office yesterday and Ethan was working on this photo shop and he's talking to our assistant Dan and he's like can you find a guy who maybe looks like Satan and he looks like he's holding holding pitchfork up like he's about to throw a maybe he's writing something you always try to find doc PTERODACTYLS and like all search for Pterodactyl you search for Satan all search for a pterodactyl user let's get paid to do and he's like pitchfork that looks like it's someone's holding it or it was kind of amazing yeah it's a great great dialogue but what else has great dialogue have you ever actually walked Bible Ma'am I had never actually have I never have listened to the intro you can talk to the origin mylan speeders a man who had it all well standards success hill jumping was lacking miserable alone hanging beaten Restri- miles Peterson gave up uh-huh him let's hand in his Dr in our the words of a single book began to change his life I ended last miles peterson felt the burning desire to know inspired by the heard of God and equipped with unyielding science miles pledge to fight evil in the name of God the laser pulses grace can't see your audience yeah the Power Ranger Judge Dredd hiring that sound I love that sal the old ninety shows it's still going yeah choir any more reverb no elevated there in the studio Oh and the guy's listening to it you know he's probably has a bit of a mullet and he's like hey more you get more lasers on their own until like a beat like just random I want to sound like the AK forty seven laser gun lightning more lightning yeah that's actually dark like origin story for like the kids well let's see he's just had like he had money and fame and power and sex and drugs sack they didn't say but it's implied again it didn't say sick my own speeders a man who had it all yeah well that's jumping was lacking that's it never he had thing but us missing sampling but then he found it in a book and the book if you look at in injury on youtube is a giant able like it's massive in the word by only Bible is written and very like almost like when you see like a very happy really comic sand like the way they write words on Easter if you buy a package of Eh dye eggs sure the title it found they would choose to halt the Holy Bible Font or time to get that out it makes a joke work is like extending it beyond sometimes the attention span do another one another story is that enough out of no and that one that was probably too much you too much now I feel like we never do enough let's keep talking about bio story number two how about you take this one kyle you got your your document now ellen outed as conservative after she each other with respect so we we came out yeah she she was hanging out Jordan I can't say his name George that one the Georgia's rhymes with smush Kush she she's in hot water for making these controversial comments so you guys judge for yourself I'm friends with George Bush in fact I'm friends with a lot of people don't share the same beliefs that I have we're all different and I think that we've forgotten that that's okay that we're all different for instance I wish people wouldn't wear for I don't like it but but I'm friends with people who wear fur and I'm friends with people who were furry in fact I have friends who should tweet Moore and I I have but just because I don't agree with someone on everything doesn't mean that I'm not going to be friends with them when I say be kind to one I don't mean only the people that think the same way that you do I mean be kind to everyone doesn't matter right ooh sculpting boo how does she have a a TV show with disgusting thoughts like that that's horrible uh-huh and she's in polite society what kind of country is this where you should add an h. to the beginning of her name and then take off the espn at the end and just be hell baboon B o Oh that'd be clever yeah but anyway this is shows me that there's like a it right now is different than we're talking about in the with Peterberg Ocean and James Lindsay on Camera Jeff so that was at the culture wars shifting cultural or two point Oh it is the people that want to try belies into this like it's almost like free speech versus anti-free-speech I don't know divided but it's different because I think we would disagree with Alanon so much but that basic thing we agree on that for sure yeah like being able to being able to have free Kneza outside of your own point of view I mean it's insane to me that that's controversial at all but it's super controversial right now yeah yeah it's weird it's weird to be well and and if you follow this controversy at outs like you I see the first I heard about it is like you know backlash at to so it's like there's this thing that you can't we can't progress passed a Steph of we're all nice or something I feel like that's the attitude like George Bush's a horrible war monger criminal and and he wanted to be waited for by nobody like that's GonNa progress into some new I don't know I don't know what to get into the head of a person who's upset by this they think that there's going to be this horrible consequences I always normal I need to be shamed out of I think that's it like they think that those people to not be accepted they think if you're nice to someone you're maligning and accepting whatever they believe are wherever I guess that's another thing that like when you are when you live in the church in the Christian life it's so normal to be friends with and respect people that you agree with on very core things normal and we've we've talked about this before but as like you can't talk you're talking to that person they you know but they're gay or you know but they're you know they're they're not a Christian how could you talk to that person and now it's like George W Bush nobody on the right is saying why is why is George W Bush talking to Ellen also shows a real lack of confidence in your news I think that's a very popular in colts to not allow their members to become friends with people outside of their their views yeah you can't have real friends you can you can minister to them but you can't actually like them and be their friend and the to me that shows a real weakness of if you really believe your beliefs your confidence enough in them then you have to be afraid to be friends with somebody and treat them like human if they'd they don't agree with you if you're in if you're super insecure about it and yeah protect yourself yeah unless they're not a real human like George W. Bush Oh yeah just a walking cesspool with legs while you're walking under the cesspool walk it's like needs legs out of the legs attached to the Senate might just kind of slow what is a Cesspool I actually don't know it's just something you people use I assume that that's what is says Assistant Google Cesspool sess what's a cesspool I assume it's like a septic but it's a bunch of poop he tells us it's a an underground container for the storage of liquid waste even can you photoshop a cesspool.

"This is a little inside baseball baseball media media edition so the fact checking sites nobes is engaged in a dispute with the conservative satire sight the babylon be. I liked that clarification. Jesse is no longer a christians satires conservative satire sight. Oh interesting. I mean <hes> and that's partly why drifted this drifted. Far from the yeah started again as of to get i was putting as i was kind of putting finishing touches on this today. This story now picked up by the wall street journal the new york times and the washington post <hes> well. He's hot lists. Yeah i know sizzling version of the top of them. All the bambi started out as a christian culture alter satire sight and you know they'd have like you know make fun of hip worship leaders and stuff on yet and now it's just a whole bunch of conservative news and kinda like everything else in the christian world is just all about politics and a lot of it is really cringe-worthy. Why it's really bad yeah yeah you know that they did not like their moral. All in an ethical and social compass is skewed far one way. It's not true north so yeah yeah well adam ford who founded and then later sold the babylon be has actually been critical of snow and last month posted an extended thread on twitter criticizing them for fact checking stories like the one with the headline georgia lawmaker claims chick-fil-a employee told her to go back to her country later clarifies he actually said my pleasure and if he's in in a piece critical of this story slopes wrote the babylon be has managed to confuse readers with its brand of satire in the past. This particular story was especially puzzling for some readers however however as it closely mirrored the events of genuine new story with the big exception of the websites changing the location the bambi brand of satires derivative votive of side of like the onion and stuff like that <hes> which are it's like absurd news stories written a._p. Style meant to look like an actual newspaper well this this week's nope shared a piece headlined study too. Many people think satirical news israel which claimed that many of the stories that fold real people on the internet were satirical it says quote americans are worried about their ability to distinguish between what's true and what isn't and think made up news is significant problem facing the country <hes> they they surveyed eight hundred americans to see if they would believe claims made in satirical online stories from their study satirical.

"I haven't heard Moses as much with Moses imperfect as he he he had a speech impediment or some right yeah and he made mistakes lead would never went through a guy. Oh Yeah Yeah. He killed someone. That's how big deal no big deal N._B._D.. N._B._D. so yeah who are we yeah to question God the I had had that had that are like <hes> they all come back to Israel because he's pro Israel and like you just have like it's just it's in the Bible. It's ingrained into the Bible that you have to support him with all without any criticism yeah like in you know just I know this is like a logical fallacy but take this hate mail and apply it to like if we're Nazi Germany. God raised up Hitler. He's an imperfect man yeah if you if he's in charge God raised them upright. Who are you to question the creates Adolf Hitler now? I'm not actually comparing trump to Hitler just to head off before we but I'm just pointing out your logic arguments not very <hes> not very sound there so I don't know that we're technically never-trumpers. Yeah the weird thing to people as a your you know media call you when if you don't praise trump with every breath breathe I see that on twitter all the time like there's guys that you know say something and someone replies <hes>. You never trumpers like I don't know maybe maybe trumper burn or something like that was a big divisive thing during the election as like yes people broke off and said we are never trumpers <hes> most people didn't you know but then if you criticize trump during never trumper and we've been articles in support if trump or at least making fun of the crazy criticisms that people give yeah totally I'm so I I don't think he can really read our website and go you are never trumper but most people who send this stuff. Don't read our website so it's true and probably they definitely notice into our podcast. Yeah I hope not hope not one of these days will read. I Hate Mail and then we'll get a hate mail and then it'll just be every week reading from the same guy we we do mention one one other phenomenon is that we have now started getting fake hate mail. Have we yeah. Did you see you see this email. <hes> maybe we we've been we've started to get you never check your emails either but we've started to get like this like fake like people trying to get on the podcast cast to get dave to read their Oh yeah because they want to be read Dave but it's like very obvious because they they read of the love you guys know but they hit on all the troops that we say you know it's like Oh. Hey you know your newspaper is so bad yeah. Trump is amazing sent from my IPAD. Yeah I get what you're doing a stop sending US fake. Hey male only real hate. Mail will be read by. It's Kinda like bad movies like they have. We made in Uttar sincerity otherwise it's just not as good that's bad movie trying to be bad movie her right so we are going to move onto our subscriber portion. Now we're GONNA talk about a few different things including genetically engineered dinosaurs food with us by demons and do a part. I'm really excited about we're going to read rejected headlines from the from the last week really go through symphony performs some from our writers ones that this weren't there still funny where they just weren't quite. They're not all of these are necessarily rejected. Some of them are <hes>. Some of them are like maybe still in the world they still might be used some day or or whatever just kind of like fun. It's a way to give him a little more life. If you would like to subscribe and here the remainder of the podcast you can go to Babylon dot com slash plans liens pick a plan at any level and you'll have access to the full podcast where we go on for another large chuck time discussing a bunch of good stuff so please do that s her right so but with that I'm Ethan Nicole and I'm come in Kyle and Ethan would like to thank Seth Dylan for paying the bills Adam Ford for creating their job the other writers or tirelessly pitching headlines The subscribers.

"I think this has a lot of into the peel if rents are high, and it's a big strain on tenants than just pass a law saying the rents can't be high. I think the appeal of this policy in part comes from seeing the economy as much more top down than it really is people see the economy, which is fantastically complex, and they figure it must be the way that it is because somebody at the top wanted that way what a landlord charges for rent is just an arbitrary decision made by the landlord. So the rent is high. That means the landlord is, greedy. Therefore, if we can force landlords to charge less more people will be better off. Alas? It is not so simple. Economies are largely bottom up. They are the product of lots of people making lots of decisions. And when you look at it from a bird's eye view, it can look like it is coordinated it does seem to work strangely. Well, but it doesn't work well because there's a committee behind the curtain making all the important decisions in the case of setting the price of rent landlords. Can't arbitrarily the side charge more because they are competing for tenants with other landlords. And if they raise their prices potential tenants will go rent somewhere else. So given that landlords find themselves in a competitive market. They have a lot to consider when deciding what to charge for rent. It's not just one person making an arbitrary decision. It's a decision based on lots of other factors that are all interconnected when rent controls have been enacted. It has led to all sorts of negative side effects. They Connie is like a balloon when you push down one part. The other parts will burst out in the case of rent control, leads to housing shortages, hasn't quality goes down landlords can discriminate more because there's so many people desperate for rent controlled housing. They have more freedom to pick and choose who they rent to. There's a pretty strong consensus amongst communists that read controls. Don't lead to good outcomes. The economist Asir Lind Beck has said quotes rent control, appears to be the most efficient technique presently known to destroy a city except for bombing and quote, rent controls persist nonetheless. When it comes to both creationism and rent control. It's easy to say that these persist because of lack of knowledge, but what I'm getting at is why the requisite knowledge remains lacking. Even though it's not hard to come by. I think creationism and rent control both run parallel to our intuition. So they are hard to break out of in. Both cases the top down fallacy is play. We see the world is more designed than really is. That is as far as I'm gonna get in covering types of bad explanations. This episode, but tune in next episode for the exciting conclusion to this two part series for now let's head on over to check. This wreck. And this segment I recommend some bit of media that you are perhaps unfamiliar with this episode's wreck is the YouTube channel, titled science technology and the future. I believe the name of the channel used to be Adam Ford, Adam has videos of events as well. As interviews the videos on this channel feature some people you may have heard of like Peter singer. Stuart Russell Robinson Nick Bostrom and Julia gala also there's videos from an effective altruism conference held in Melbourne in two thousand fifteen so if you have a sec check this wreck. That's it for this episode. The sources I've referred to throughout the episode including this week's wreck can be found in the show notes. Now..
