"No car required if you look at the matches on Annex T. I think I would have to give annex t the edge as far as quality from last night right a lot better wrestling matches again from bell to bell. You probably got the better wrestling. And that's always going to be a discussion. It's natural you can be a discussion because they go up head to head. It's one you know you have to kind of choose or go back and forth. It's it's it's an interesting dynamic but but if I was to choose one over the other I would have to give like we always say I would give the wrestling edge to annex T and I would get the character and emotional national investment edge. W I agree and I WANNA talk to you about something that we were just talking about in the break. Tell the nation what you were just saying saying about Adam Cole and Cole does something that bully you and I grew up on a heel would never do. And that's play to the crowd. What does that? What Does Adam Cole Do? When he's on that ring apron takes dum boom? The whole crowd cheers boom like back in the day just for are you know maybe newer fans who fans that Evan watched wrestling. You know for thirty five years like I have if an old school. He'll did that and a whole crowd along with them said boom he would not do with the next night when he came to the ring. Because when go go go go go him. I right like if Dick Murdoch made a motion to himself with the thumb and ten thousand fans said boom take murdoch. DOC would not do that the next night. Because he'll he's the bad guy he gets paid to be bad and he gets paid to get these opponent to be cheered the other the thing Adam Cole does and I'm not knocking at him. Go 'cause I I called Adam Cole. The wrestler of the year. So you know I'm not. I'm certainly not hating on Adam Cole. He does something denounce he does. The whole the whole crowd. Yeah they love it babe I he'll should not be playing to the crowd. Would getting fans to chat your your tagline. WWE doesn't make hills wwe make superstars for stars and if that superstar does something that you deem hellish baby faces and it works and it gets over. They don't care hair when triple H was baby face. Did he spit water out of his mouth. Yes was it cool. Yes did he do it when he was a heal yes. He didn't change his act because he was a superstar and he did what he did from day. One I however agree when it comes to to being a heel and I've said it many many times a hill should never do anything or say anything that elicits the emotion of happiness or joy. I he'll should never bring a smile to your face race ever as a heel if I see somebody in the crowd wearing my t. shirt. I'm doing a bad job as a heel. If I see somebody giving me the thumbs up. I'm doing a bad job as a heel if I see somebody smiling. I'm doing a bad job if somebody wants a high five me. I'm doing a bad job. That's that's how far I go in my own mind as far as knowing what my job is on any given night to be the absolute most despised five piece of shit in the building and I think that's the biggest thing is what you just said. Excuse my language there are no piece of shits. It's on the annex t roster. There isn't there. Isn't anybody that you're like. I can't wait. I can't write for fill in the blank to beat the living shit out of him or her an xt and the wwe don't build those kinds of heels. They build old superstars and you can react anyway. You want to to our superstars. We're not gonNA pigeonhole anybody into he'll or baby face because we're our machine our next machine our. WWE machine is designed to put out one product product and one product only a superstar. And if you're a superstar you can get any reaction that we need you to get so we don't look in the direction of. Oh we only want you to get the reaction that he'll get or we only want you to get the reaction that a baby face get we. We want you to get the reaction that a superstar gets and listen and foundation to me of pro wrestling. That's what I grew up on and I'm I'm not knocking an x t by any stretch imagination. It's very very popular when they do arenas they sell the son of a bitch out. So who am I to say that there are formula is wrong wrong but you have to understand kind of goes against everything that I've known as a pro wrestling fan but at the same time. Do I love annexed I do. Do I enjoy their matches. Damn right I do but I but if I'm GonNa Watch Champa against Adam Cole at a takeover in Portland. It's going to be rooting hard for champion. Because I want him to. Beat the Shit at Adam Cole. No because I love Adam Cole. Because when Adam Cole comes out there I'm I'M GONNA go boom and I'm going to go away. So what do you WanNa see out of Adam Cole versus Champa. I WANNA see you're gonNA kill me. I I want to see a five star match. I'M NOT GONNA kill you because that's exactly what the tea fan base wants to say. You have just put yourself this shelf fan base when I see cody and MJ F. The last thing I want to see is a five star match match. I WANNA fighting. Yes I want to see. 'em J F. Get his cocky as beat the Shit. Out of by Cody Rhodes. That's what I we wanna see now just for me and and the phones are open. I want to hear from everybody on this for me. I'd rather rather see cody. Give 'em an ASP eating over the five star match between Adam Cole and Champa. I'm GonNa Appreciate Adam Cole and Champa APPA. I'm going to think it's a great match. And maybe when we talk about it at the end of the year. I'm going to be saying that's one of the batches of the year but for pure enjoyment for what would make me buy a ticket to an arena to watch it would be cody an Mj. Just like back in one thousand nine hundred eighty four July fifteenth at the meadowlands. I didn't I want to see a five star match between Jimmy superfly Snuka and Rowdy Roddy Piper. I wanted to see superfly. Snuka beat the living shit at a Rowdy Roddy Piper not looking for a five star. Match Cody Rhodes right now could really really benefit from a good old fashioned old school. Long blood feud because that's the things you want to see from cody because that's the things that we got from. I'm dusty and cody understands dusty storytelling really really well. And Cody has the emotional. Investment Excellent and the love from that eighty w crowd like no other just like the. NWEA fans loved his father. A good old fashioned blood feud with somebody who could bring his level of love to the next level. Only only a pure pure. He'll do that. He'll with lots of experience bachelor cody. That's what I'd like to see cody involved. And what is that. What is the MJ? F- Kinda Cody vibe feud food store line reminds you a little bit of Kinda reminds you a little bit of flair and dusty flair. Was The cocky guy with a silver spoon in his his mouth that loved the La Lakers and and just the flash and the and the circumstance and the pomp and circumstance and everything else and dusty was the guy that came came out with a gene and t shirts and loved the Boston Celtics and just was like the hard working guy and everything else and listen. I wonder if one of my favorite foods of all time was dusty and flare let me tell you. somethin' dusty inflator never put on a five star. Match steamboat steamboat flair. Put on the five star match. And listen I go back and watch steamboat in flare all the time and I love it and it's one of my favorite matches we talk about it being you know. Try facto one of the greatest feuds but that was the greatest series of matches. Because when I talk about flair and steamboat I don't say feud that was a great series of matches when I talk about dusty and flair. I talk about feud. A blood feud two guys. That were polar opposites opposites that hated each other. If you're going to talk about a blood feud and dusty Rhodes ric flair is not the first name that comes to mind rick. Flair may have been may may have been an arch nemesis of dusty Rhodes but when it comes to the heel of all heels sales and blood feuds with dusty. Rhodes there's only one name that's synonymous and that's Terry funk funk and dusty to me is a completely different level of emotion that dusty and flair and you talk about well and I agree with you because at the end of the day you know flare industy God. It's it's you know it's hard for me. You can pray you can throw a dusty. Listen now no listen gosh again. Yeah but those are not as well known you know them. 'cause there's Uber Fan. Listen listen when you saw dusty versus flare what did you wanna see dusty dude flare. I WANNA see him beat Flair to win the title boom when you sort dusty in funk what did you want to see dusty do the funk beat the shit out of funk go brother Cody Rhodes needs his terry funk. I love this conversation. The busted open nation. How is this? My brother died in Kansas City. Don WanNa say about heels if what are you doing the Kansas City Donnie. Well I don't think I'm your brother. Okay sorry yeah you never know. I used to work in broadcasting to us. So it's the same same almost the same business but he do now don Don don don wonder is not broadcast John you there. I guess he didn't want to tell me what he does now. It's got frayed in Virginia. What's going on L. Frito? Hey what's going on guys. I let me tell you I love this show. Thank you my friend. I been a fan of wrestling's for fifty years. I got into it with three years old. My Dad it was an old school guy loved it growing up. You had a clear idea of who the guy was and who the bad guy was and you never wanted to be the bad guy.

"I think if if you're putting on the best wrestling show you're putting on the best show and I think that annex t as a very good chance of becoming wrestling fans favourite wrestling TV show and if he becomes wrestling fans favourite wrestling TV show I think it will become everybody's favorite wrestling TV show. I think that's just the way it works you know I. I think that it's a it's a huge opportunity for everybody. I hope nobody gets called up you know because this is the call up. This is it tonight is the night the annex t becomes the main roster. They called up the entire brand. Annex T has been called up and here we are let's go AAA did a conference call with the media and I was reading about it and one of the things I think I was reading Sean. Ross saps twitter Araya thread about everything that they were saying because he's a pretty reliable wrestling reported there on the Internet and and one one of the things that was pointed out was that they are looking at doing more takeovers like they did take over twenty five separate for main roster shows and I have to tell you being takeover twenty-five was a different experience there was this feeling of the annex t guys wanting to own own their brand. They didn't want they loved not being looked at as piggybacking off the main roster they loved the idea that they just annex t was coming into town going into an arena and putting on one of the best wrestling shows in the world. I think that's the attitude that they have and I think that's the attitude they're going to carry with them. I was thinking about what brought them to this point. You know and it's only been a few years really but I think that when you look at the history of annex t I think Sammy Zan's placeman c'mon annex t is very very very interesting because I think Sammy Zane is is technically in the conversation with Kevin Owens and Finn Baylor and at the time Hideo Tommy but his aim was there before them. Sammy's Amen was like so there was there was the the era where annex t FCW NFC was new fcw you just kind of become an xt and that's when you know you had seth. Rollins is the champion you add a Roman reigns there you had had Corey graves was their careers in neverwhere the tag champs you know all that was going on and that was that kind of first generation were annexed he was finding itself South and wwl wwe network did big things for annexed. It gave them much bigger audience. You know I think that before the wwe network next he was most famous for the ridiculous show that was on the sci fi network that really the only thing that has in common is that they'd shares a name Annex Annex T it's not considered even annexed he history but once it got to the wwe network it was when people start paying attention. Let's keep in mind the wwe the network the first live show on the network was an xt arrival. It was an annex I it was what takeover became came and again really the reason that was put on the network was because they wanted to test the technology they wanted to figure out if it would work and what ended up happening was they put on this amazing wrestling show and exposed a whole new world to it. I think annex t really turned a corner when Finn Baylor and Kevin Owens showed up and when Finn Ballard was the annex t champion champion I think thin bailers run is an as champion is probably the most important. NFC Championship run in the history the promotion because I think it took them to an entirely different level that was when you had established guys coming in and changing their names but not reinventing themselves tweaking tweaking but not reinventing themselves embracing racing who they were before they were in an xt but changing their names and tweaking you know what I mean and and that is when they started ready to begin to tour that is when Finn Valerie and Kevin Owens that class Hideo Tommy is well that is when then they started to develop as a brand where you're sitting there going like no. I'm an annex T fan. I like Annex T Y that's when it stopped me just being about developmental mental and more about being an entertainment brand another wrestling brand around that same time is when you had the rise of the four Horse Women Charlotte Sasha Banks Banks Bailey becky lynch. You know one of the one of the very early classic annex t matches was an Italian versus Charlotte. That is the match that really was a breakout for Charlotte. The before takeovers were being done the same weekend as pay pay per view back when they were still being still done at full sail annex t ran their biggest building ever it was five thousand seats and it was in San Jose before wrestlemainia thirty one also no known as Wrestlemainia play button that live event was main event by Sasha banks versus Charlotte Legend has has it that was the night that Vince McMahon realized that women could main event that we did the Vincent man was there watching legend has it that show and looked around and I saw the reaction that Sasha Banks and Charlotte were getting kind of couldn't believe in just saw where the business was going and it was a year later after that Sasha Banks Bailey Sasha Banks Becky and Charlotte were plastered on the side of the Dallas Stadium. You know we go step forward and I think the debut of Samoa Joe was very important to annex t the debut of Samoa Joe was the first time that a talent was brought in with the intention of just being an annex t you talk to Samoa Joe you've interviewed him about it multiple multiple times and he says that there was never the he was never supposed to go to the main roster. That's why he didn't change his name. Why didn't change his gimmick? He didn't change his lucky and change anything. Samoa Joe was just a well known independent wrestler he'd had a huge career an impact and he was there for an xt now of course he prospered prospered and eventually got to the main roster but again it changed the way everything was done so I think the addition of Samoa Joe was very important and that's when things start to really change then comes bobby rude than comes drew McIntyre comes back you know right around the Samoa Joe Time as well as is or I think before right before Samoa Joe was takeover Brooklyn One. I think the most important takeover of all time because that was the takeover. Where were they were like okay? We tried to San Jose show Wrestlemainia. Let's see if we can play at the Barclays. We'll blackout tops and we'll just sell five thousand seats. The Barclays glaze will try to get five thousand in there and it'll look cool they sold out the entire building and they realized that they were on to something here. An annex t continued to grow and grow and grow in my opinion what brought them to the level that they're at now was there two thousand as an eighteen and the story of Adam Cole and Johnny. I mean I the story of of Tommaso CIAMPA and Johnny Gargano again two guys that are brought in from from the indies because they got a little bit of buzz no intention of ever bring them up to the main roster. They were actually allowed to wrestle annex t and still keep their independent pendant dates you know and they were attacked him. It was just like Oh cool. These guys that are still on the indies are also doing stuff annex t never slated to be main event. Hey guys never slated to be any of this stuff because they were the ones that fans wanted to see they grew and grew and grew to the point where as has a tag team. They became super popular. Then this split happens in a series of matches they had have not been beaten by any other story Rian Wrestling Sense. It's the it's the best rivalry in the last few years and hasn't been beaten in terms of being being the best rivalry. I think that that story is we'll put takeover on another level and what brought them to the place that has a company they deserve to be on TV. 'cause that's that's the caliber now that they were working and by the way after that story was done being told into my so Chiampou went back on the shelf annexed he was able to maintain that spot spot and actually was able to maintain that level of quality and even as they lost guys even as they lost Alastair black they built. They started building Alastair Black. They lose him. You know I mean think about how good halftime heat was good enough to have two guys on the show got scooped up up and brought right up to the main roster but as okay we keep it moving they build up ricochet losing to the main roster EC three starts to make a couple rungs losing to the main roster. That's okay 'cause there's more talent coming and we keep it going not so you know it's a it's a brand because no matter what they set the bar and and they stay they don't dip down and I it's an amazing thing you know and you look I mean I got a bunch of action figures on the desk right now. These are the people that we're GONNA see in annexed CIAMPA again injured but he'll be back at some point be got CIAMPA. You've Johnny Gargano you've Adam Cole Rodrick strong Kyle O'Reilly Bobby Fish Shayna baseler velveteen dream Pete done rea- Ripley the list goes on and on and on and on and it's an amazing thing and I think that that that's where Adam Cole steps and I think the Johnny Gargano into Moscow CIAMPA and their rivalry put an X. T. on such a high pedestal a pedestal that is higher than any place they it had been before who is going to be able to maintain this and that is where Adam Cole and Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick strong come I'm in and they say here we are and that's the discipline of annex t to because ankles been around for over a year two years ankles run annex t for it's been or maybe not well. It's definitely over here and now he's just trying starting to hit his stride. Now he's just hitting its peak not hitting its peak but like you know like getting to where potentially potentially he could have been. They could've done all this as soon as he got there but nope we got a good thing going on here. Let's save you and boom as soon as it's time we're GONNA go for for it and they did and that to me is where we're at now. I can't wait to see the show tonight again. We take this on a Wednesday. It is what it is. We're going to continue to be continued. We're GONNA continue the state of wrestling after annex t airs if you're still if you're locked into this there there will be an addendum podcast it will come out within hours of this one and we'll talk about everything that happens on an xt on USA. It's an amazing time to be a wrestling fan. So.

"Story number two this week on the state of wrestling is what I found to be a very polarizing episode of Monday night raw a lot going on on this episode first of all Rene Young Michael Cole Corey Graves. They were as the kids say on one. I don't know what was going on. They took got whacky pills and some of the stuff that was coming out of all of them was Mvp Hall of fame level calls is just. I felt felt like you got the feeling that you haven't really had in my opinion on Ron a little while which has been you got to see the kinship. The three of them have together. You got to see the fact that you know when this team was I made all three of them said that they were friend end and you felt that watching raw this weekend to those really fun. They were all having a good time. They were laughing at stuff. That should have been laughed at. They were mocking stuff. That should have been mocked. They were taking stuff seriously. That should have been taken seriously. I thought it was a really nice mix and they were saying some crazy crazy things as well but I guess it started with the opening segment obviously with set during the Promo and then the firefly funhouse thing airing and then the upside down graphics which which Rene called out and like so many people. I think everybody that I read was like Oh. My God Rene is going to get yelled at for calling out the graphics. Ah like was I the only one who watched that and said clearly these are meant to be upside down like clearly that was done on purpose and you might go. Why was it done on purpose for the same reason why the show ended with seventeen minutes of a firefly fun House logo number one? It's going to get people talking because go. There's a mistake on TV and her young just called outlay debt felt very much like okay. This is supposed to happen. There were multiple upside down graphics. They would have fixed it and number. Two Bray Wyatt messes stuff up Bray Wyatt messes up the lights Bray y you know I thought that like I was watching. I was like Oh. I guess that's a Wyatt thing maybe and Rene called it out as I go. That's funny and then everybody was like really you fired like I say what so I mean. Maybe I'm wrong but I thought clearly that the upside down graphics were unintentional part of the show maybe made to feel unintentional and just another thing like sometimes on raw end on smackdown. I guess I can't think of when it's happened on smackdown but sometimes things are done in a way that's made to look unintentional to add some realism. Maybe I don't know there's a lot of reasons but I think that that was done on purpose personally but a lot of good matches another good king of the ring match. I feel like almost all the tournament matches were great. Women's tag match Sasha beings taken some shots at Alexa Bliss so the Internet get all fired up over that but I feel like the segment that got everybody first of all to twenty four seven title stuff was good is always. There's a lot of stuff and I think. I don't think that it was just like oh well now. We have this character. We're just GONNA use them. All the time. I think the reason there is so much fiend stuff happening on raw this week is because between summer slam and clash of champions there wasn't that much bray Wyatt stuff at all and it's because he wasn't on the pay per view anyway but now he's going to main event a paper you so I think that they're just getting people used to the idea that he's here that he's part of the day to day. I mean the main event of the pay-per-view was Braun. STROWMAN versus Seth rollins and leading up to clash of champions Braun Strowman Seth rollins were like on raw constantly so I think that that's why there's so much fiend on Monday night raw right now but so far it's been all all good stuff. I got very jealous of the people that are from Knox County imagine if not only is your mayor Kane but wall. He's the mayor he's still coming out Kane. I think that's awesome did he actually did it and that he took that bump see and that's the way it should be done because you're watching and you're going like Oh wait a minute. They're having Kane take out all the bad guys nope the fiend comes in and takes out the legend. I love that I love that used the fiend and then that closing shot where like the fiend is like on top of Seth rollins and then it goes to the firefly funhouse uncomfortably longtime and it scratchy and stuff it just it's ballsy to do stuff like that 'cause it's unconventional and it's against the formula and it's really really good the fiend is really really good as a horror movie fanatic. He's a horror movie. Come to life and he's making it work. It's not corny. It's not cheesy like I want more and we got more than ever and I still want more and I'm not sitting there like anybody else anybody else you'd go. He's had one match one match and he's already getting universal title Opportunity Opportunity but with the fiend you're like yeah. Bring it on give it to me I wanted I think probably the biggest head-scratching Bratcher I'll say from raw. Was I making sure that I didn't I mean it was the Michael Canales Stuff Maria and Michael Canals people thought that it was ridiculous. WE HAVE THE GENDER REVEAL party. Maria says Yup Mike it's a boy ricochets boy. You're not the Father Mike what and he opened hand slapped ricochet which was like what guy finds out that another man fathered his wife's child and then just open hand slaps him like he challenges him to a duel or something. I was like what but he challenges ricochet ricochet was like it's not mine. Mari came out Cerny Test Ricochet beats him real real quick. Maria was like I was trying to motivate you. Obviously it's ricochets baby. It's this guy's and we find out that sexy moustachioed Roussev is the father of Maria canals his unborn child he then Mike Canales says you know what it's all good don't even worry about it and then rousseff beats him up up anyway and walks out with his pregnant wife. I mean it is so ridiculous and then corey graves calling him a Beta cock and then maiocco called him a loser. I love wrestling so much so I thought it was you you know here's the thing everybody goes man. The attitude era was the best man one of they're going to get back to the attitude era. I don't know what anybody thinks. The attitude era was that was the most attitude era segment of all time that was the attitude era was almost nothing but segments agreements like that you know like we're two steps away from Maria giving birth to a hand they're putting making a pregnant woman look more pregnant on TV. She is is legit pregnant and they're like we can use this and like she's going to have to stop traveling soon. 'cause she's legit pregnant so I don't know what the plan is for her and Rousseff long-term. I also don't know what the plan is for Michael Canales long-term if he's going to back down after finding out that another undermanned fathered the child he thought was his and the guy's going to beat him up anyway clearly. It's something you know. I don't see their premium for a title run but I also don't think this idea like Oh. They're burying mother. Burying Mike Canales like no they buried Luke Harper he was gone. They made them disappear. That's burying unless they accept any came back hotter than ever if he'd never come back that would have been a burial but I mean wrestling. It's entertainment. Everybody knows that if Mike Canales was a I mean T- next week he could come out he could say. I'm tired of year nonsense Marie I want a divorce beats abusive and it'll be a super guy. Everybody would take him seriously so everybody understands it's entertainment. I just I thought raw was fun man. I thought it was a weird wacky variety variety show. I like the weirdness of it and I think really if you're going to have thing where you have an X. T. on television and you have smackdown and you have raw let raw drift into becoming a soap opera circus. Why Not Annex T is going to give you like something for hardcore? Wrestling fans smackdown sounds GonNa give you something else over here. Why not let Roy? Have this wacky stuff going on us three hours you know I thought it was good. I thought it was I thought it was funny story number one this week is an xt coming to the USA network now again this segment this podcast is being taped before an xt on the USA network exists several hours before there will be an addendum podcast to this podcast if it's not already out on the exact same feed that you downloaded unloaded this from it will be very very soon. It's coming out the same day that this gets released and it will be my immediate reaction to annex t on USA well. Let's talk about specialises. Adam Cole was just talking about it in the interview that we had on the show today firstly. I think that you have to allow you have to give credit to the stars like this. You have to allow you can't sit here and say it's unfair you can but it's unfair to sit here and say well. They're just bring next to compete with a W 'cause annexed. He deserves to be in the position. They're therein INA vacuum independent of any other competition annexed next he deserves to be in the spot that they're in and quite frankly if I'm an NFC superstar right now. I'm not thinking about winning Wednesday nights. I'm thinking about winning the week. If I annexed superstar. I want to go out there and I want to be the best wrestling show on TV. I'm not looking at aws dynamite as my only competition. I'm looking at the dynamite. I'm looking at the RAW. I'm looking at the smackdown. I'm looking into impact on access but I think that the next superstars the same way. I'm sure that they go into pay per view weekends wanting takeover to be better than the main roster pay per view. I bet that they want their next show to be better than raw or smackdown. I think the annexed TV show is going to be amazing. I think they have a real shot to have the best TV wrestling TV show show and maybe I don't know if it will translate to the mainstream. I believe that it will I think wrestling fans like it. The best non wrestling fans will feel similar. Are you know I don't think that there is this separation. I think good. TV is good TV. Good storytelling good storytelling entertainment is entertainment..

"You're like okay. We're still on course. We're on the right track. Did you have any setbacks where you were like. I think this is it and you're like no. That's not it. I thought this was going to be the moment where I got the big call. I thought this was going to be nope. That wasn't it. Oh Yeah for sure. There was a phase. Actually I'm trying to remember it was like twenty thirteen I had done a tryout for. Wwe Me and long story short. I got a phone call and was told just so you know it's unanimous. Yes like every single coach is saying yes. Stu You so get ready to come down here. That wasn't an official call that was like hey buddy. Just so you know yeah that was like a friend to call still though so amped I was television champion and ring of honor time so I like lost the championship it was I was going you told them you were like yeah yeah yeah. I just thought I was going it was again. It was pretty apparent like okay. This is the real deal yeah until a few weeks later. Yeah I got a phone call saying that hey it's not a no forever. It's just not not right now. So I was crushed. I felt like such a dummy. You know telling the company I was working for Lake. Hey I'm Outta here. Just kidding then you're you're like hey ring of honor number one. Can I have my job back and also the championship again but I I've said this before too. I would not have changed that for the world that was that was the start of a really big run for me on the independence so and and I really don't know if I would be who I am today me if it wasn't for that not right now now answer that I got so for me yeah you get to sit there and you don't realize it at the time to build a reputation and get better and better and better and build an audience dance outside of that so that when you do come into wwe there's this entire fan base not only knows who you are but they're all amped you get come in during a main event and everybody's like Holy Shit. He's here yeah. This is incredible because it because that was the thing is when I did the tryout and was told you're going. I hadn't worked any main events right like I was by. No I was like a mid card guy. I was just getting his feet wet and that would have been the time where you would have gone in and you wouldn't have been Adam Kaufman. You wouldn't have been yeah you would totally different person so it was absolutely the best and and I think it worked out perfectly. I have to tell you that I don't know if you saw a handsome rob here outside. This is our Guy Guy but he came in during during the commercial break and he goes ankles outside Ngong. Okay yeah tell them to come in and he goes. Oh my God I just saw his is. They're incredible. What's he goes? He's got the most incredible is is that am I lying rob. Did you feel like Nick. Here's my thing I feel like if a man's going to be complemented I know people talking behind my back Kiva behind my back. It doesn't make me feel good sure sure but if there's compliments behind my back ladder share it. I'm not going to be bashful about it. I'm good at taking compliments. I would hope that you are too. That's what you said right route. Yes Adam. Adam has lovely is so much. Thank you and you know right away first thing I noticed. Have you been told that before. Yes yeah young producer. Obviously women just two old ladies beautiful. Is You know they say beauty's in the eye of the beholder not true. You know what I mean. If you actually your eyes are that great you're going to hear it everywhere you go right right right. What's it has there been any shocking culture shock I don't WanNa say shocking twice but has there been any culture shock in getting to the wwe and now you're especially you know now that you're representing the annex t brand as it comes to USA like it's it's it's a very high level higher level and you bend before is there a any sort of culture shock that went with that as far as being on USA network for you when you're like Oh? My life is different her. I didn't expect it was going to be like this. I didn't know that it would feel like this to get this kind of recognition. Okay sure this is what it feels like to have action figures on the shelf of target right right right and this all happened so fast it seemed it's amazing the again the scope of wwe and seeing so many cool things that have come from from working here now like you said the action figure was like such a crazy thing right table to like show my mom. My action figure was so so cool but I think this job moves so fast and fortunately I had experienced prior to working made events of really important shows so as far as the actual wrestling yeah. I didn't feel too uncomfortable in that environment right but yes seeing the like you're in a video. I mean your video games. You got your in. I'm GonNa Judy this okay. There's a secret achievement in the game called Bay Yeah. If you win matches Adam Cole that's almost cooler than being in the game. It's named after the stupid catchphrase you made up to get people well. Do they put the phrase in game so that they could achieve the honor of having your character. It's life is crazy. It's crazy. It's crazy. Do you sit there and go like Oh my God. How do I deserve all this or do you go? I busted ask. This is what this was all for a little bit of Oh yeah so yeah generally speaking of course I've never been I've never been a I know. The character is but I myself am not like a crazy like I deserve all this. I'm very aware that I'm owed nothing in wrestling and I do make sure I appreciate all the cool stuff that comes with it but then at the same time part of what keeps me going is saying hey I I've been working my tail off for eleven years and and I do deserve this and I'm GonNa make sure I keep working hard. See a little bit of both yeah well an annex t premiers on Wednesday this. What have you wrapped around your your head around? It's the day after tomorrow. No it's not this sort of thing. We're like yeah. We're we're. It's it's it's it's it's going to happen yeah like we're headed in that direction. It's crazy. We are days away. You've never I mean he hasn't even done live television right. You'RE GONNA go week to week doing live TV for for the first time now to yeah yeah which is a major undertake again so excited. I feel like a lot of us work best under pressure and this is a ton of pressure to have that environment for everybody to feed off each other. The fans are going to be extra amped up because it's live on USA yeah. I'm excited man it's going to it's going to be amazing Wednesday at eight. PM I'm on USA you can watch an xt. You guys are gonNA love it. Trust me when I tell you an Adam Cole. I've now interviewed you on a Motel Motel Balcony in Reseda California and on the morning show on Sirius Xm so congratulations to you congratulations to you. "And have a better life you welcome so you know all the years next has been around and growing triple H as has been the guy who's been in charge of it and Vince McMahon is kind of in my understanding kind of been hands off and gun like okay triple h you go ahead and run an X. T. but you know what the logical conclusion has been and what people are saying is like look is the wwe product it's going to be on USA in primetime like with money now going and commercials shows and TV ratings. There's no way that Vince McMahon remains hands off and if instruments not remain hands off and it's a different leadership. How do you stay true to to what it was? What do you think they are you thinking about that so just I'm under the impression and obviously I can't give a definite answer right in this but but me and everybody else under the impression that triple h is still very much the lead guy in charge mentality? I know it's been expressed to us that it's very important that annex t stays what built the brand of annex t so you guys. Are you guys. There have been talks where you guys. They're going like don't like sit there and go okay. We have to do a new show now because we're on USA hundred percent right very aware that we got to this point and we got to being live on USA because of what we've done to got to that point so I think it's so important that again and our team feels this way to stay true to what what the brand is next. He is and you think that that's kind of an overall. Everybody feels this way. Yes we're GONNA keep it. Would this is the product it's been successful clearly yep. Just keep it going in that direction course and do you like the idea because I mean you're going on Wednesday. There's a competing wrestling promotion. AWS starting on in a couple of weeks on TNT on the same day. Do you like the fact that there's going to be competition. In terms of I mean obviously on cable. There's going to be cable. Shows your competition right every channel competition but the fact that there's other wrestling happening means seasons that you guys have to be on your game because again people could be clicking do like that. Is that scary in your head. Do you even think about it. No no competition fission is great. You live like like when you talk about again. The attitude era yes so much of what made the attitude era so exciting and so must see what it it was because of competition so I know for sure anytime there's a scenario where again one place is competing against another place or there's two places that people could watch it just so cool for wrestling fans and it puts them in such an exciting time to talk about the show and what they want to check out but again I there's there's a reason that we ended up on USA network so I I fully believe that he is going to put on just an incredibly exciting show. Yeah I believe that too. I think so too and then I guess I mean if eh the mentality is just keep doing what we've been doing. Yeah you should succeed. I don't see where that would go wrong when you you've been arresting fan forever forever when you to go home. Do you still find yourself being like a wrestling fan boy or the fact that it's your life around you all the time and how you make your living. Do you now have to find ways to turn it off. You know what I mean like if you even if it's for a couple hours like let's say Wednesday Wednesday definitely go ahead. Let's say it's a Thursday sure right perfect. We just busted ass on Wednesday right. We put on another great show. Is there something on a Thursday that you're like. I've got a not I gotTa decompress nothing about wrestling right now or do or not no I I I do that yeah and I've gotten a lot better about that like in my early twenties he's it was constantly twenty four seven my off time was spent watching wrestling or talking about it. Better get better exactly exactly so no. I actually feel like it's been better for me to make sure that I have you know multiple times a week. Even like you said a couple hours right just decompress and do whatever or talk talk about something completely different or watch a movie or play a video game or whatever it is that just has nothing to do with wrestling and I think that definitely keeps me almost constantly recharged constantly fresh and never to to hyper focused on one thing because I've noticed to even creatively yeah. I feel like I'm in such a better her position because I watch other things or think about other things non wrestling things non wrestling things it just helps you kind of think outside the box a little bit too and it's healthy for you so so is there anything that you have fallen into now outside of the wrestling world that you were like Oh my God there's so much great stuff outside of the wrestling world yeah video games yeah lately just until until I'd say about four years ago I got crazy crazy into them like my younger brother was the one who always played them and I would kind of especially early on in my wrestling career. I was like that's a waste of the time you don't want to spend your time doing any of that. Now I'm addicted to like the stories and the cool game play and how you can get so invested in a game for hours hours and hours and hours like you get attached to these characters just like you do in TV shows or movies or game. Are you playing right now. I'm playing a game called borderlands three It just came out a couple of days ago. It's called a lunar shooter but I literally Sam. I've been waiting for this game for four years. Had this thing pre downloaded ready to go midnight. Stay up till four in the morning you preordered which is like the whole preorder system because I see like you can pre-order movies and stuff like the whole system is ludicrous because download. There's literally infinite stock. Only advantage of a preorder is on the console. It actually preloaded the game name so at midnight so it's a big game as so if you buy it afterwards you gotta wait three four hours to download and you know you can't be doing that. I can't wait three or four hours Sam. That's playtime that you could have exactly thirty. I was in deep so do you do that day. We're Orleans three comes out. Do you go. I got I got. I got a condition myself. I got to sleep in the morning. You gotTa take nap in the afternoon because this is getting my evening right. I was usually prepared knowing doing that okay. I'm going to be exhausted tomorrow but there's a point where I can take a nap here. I'll get to bed nice and early. There's another time for me to play yet fully invested in a little bit of planning and and you have a girlfriend or fiancee girlfriend girlfriend Francke he lived together though that's right so it's very serious. Do you have to explain to her like look. I I take a nap in the afternoon. Got This game coming. I need to not be disturbed because there always is like stuff like I talked to my way because we have unconventional jobs right so there will have have come up where I'll go like jess. I need the afternoon just to myself. Just like I'm going to need nab and usually keep the kids away Bible bar and then I would hope that she hasn't asked why because go well. Why is that and then something stupid like well fortunately for me She just works her tail off all the time right so anytime I suggest a nap and she's home? She's amped she's like let's take a nap together so it's it's never too much of a problem for me to to say hey. I'M GONNA make sure I take take a nap. She gets excited yeah. Your girlfriend is a dentist Anna Wrestler Yeah so do you sit there. When you get somebody living in the house that's both dentists and a wrestler and you're like I'm just a writer even though you're the champion of the world even though you're going to be on USA even though everything's coming up Adam Cole do you sit there and she's also a wrestler flirt is going to be on TV and also dentist? Do you go like Oh. I can't really you can't come home and complain like I can't because my wife stays stays home and even when she's been with the kids all day I go on. I mean honey the rat race. I gotTa talk for three hours a day. It's impossible. It's so difficult I hate it. She works so hard all week. Long Days Right she travels far for job as well yes and then all weekend so so busy right nonstop so yeah me being like Oh man. I'm so tired from my four days on the road. She's been working every day for four weeks straight. I don't really have much room to complain now. It's a bummer. No she's just a wrestler then. It's all know Dr Okay. I'm a doctor. Did you ever at any point think about doing anything either besides wrestling or going to need a a day job in case this doesn't work out yet so I need a profession but right right. I was really adamant like again. Nine ten year old me was like Oh. I'M GONNA BE THE NEXT Stone Cold Steve Austin pretty fit yeah but I did have a Deja by the way you were the only nine or ten thought that because it's just going to be the one and it was just you you know it's going to be cold but I did early on in my independent career. I did work at a retirement community. That was like my side side job because I wasn't making near enough money right like when I first started I wasn't making any money so yeah I worked in a retirement home and I taught kids swim lessons also so I would work. I the my girlfriend schedule your work during the week wrestle on the weekends so but it wasn't like a it was not being doctor doctor. Go to your doctor. It's like this is Komo on what to do. There's a title with it. You're like yeah well. I spent six months in a retirement center. Helping people excited about changing aging out bedpans. You're just I worked in the fitness center so I was there more to keep an eye on everybody and make sure everyone was safe and okay and and then also did kids swim lessons in the same facility okay but you never had to change a bedpan never did because thinking like if you wanna be the next stone cold and then you remember when he hit Vincent Man and the head of the bed pan but then you're actually changing bedpans this isn't I think the universe got everything mixed up it. This isn't what I was thinking so you did you ever were you ever in your nine years there took because some people get to wwe wrestling meanwhile match like they get into center and they're they're. They're some people it takes two years. You just never know so in your nine years. Did you ever think to yourself okay. You know what maybe I'm not going to be the next Dunkel. Maybe I'm just going to be one of these journeymen. Who just kind of do this independently and that's that not just you know watch my dentist at this girlfriend who radio show make enough money that I can also wrestle so I always obsessed on trying to get better and improve and things like that but when it came to losing focus of what my goal was now? I always believed in myself enough to say hey you know I'm GonNa make this happen. Not Saying I'm going to be the next Stone Cold Steve Austin like that has but like just developing my own brand. I've always been confident because fortunately for me even though it was nine years to get to wwe there was still like a a slow but steady progression right like each year. I was a little bit higher up on the Totem Pole right to say and that's outside of dividend so recognize that has it happened yeah exactly so it wasn't like one of those things where I felt like. I was stagnant at any point little things like going to Japan and things like that and traveling a lot more and just overall succeeding yeah. I guess sometimes people and I think that's where people get mixed up like you have to look at like the I think the only way you can really judge what's going on in whatever career you have is to figure this thing about where you were a year ago and go. Is it better or worse. Even if it's that that little much better if it's still still both it's a tiny bit better..

"Sitting down with them call for any length of time and talk and wrestling would that should also be here on not Sam wrestling for you guys to listen to. I'm trying to do right by you guys and I'm doing my guest this week. I'm not saying wrestling the man who's bringing the NFC championship to the USA Network Adam Cole baby the not Sam Wrestling Interview Adam Cole. What's going on Ebay Baby? I forgot you gotta say right. You're right. I'm on for years. I know you're coming to USA. You're being exposed posed even bigger audience for you not to say bay at every single opportunity. I mean you'd be doing yourself. A disservice is never been more appropriate appropriate right. That's right perfect. How amazing is that though like you always hear when when? WWe brings wrestlers in who have careers ears outside of wwe before they get there they changed the name they changed the character they changed the catchphrase because they want to you know w wants to own everything and wwe should own everything it's their vehicle but did you ever think when we met years ago before you got to annex t before you were part of the wwe system that not only would you be in wwe but it it would be using the name Adam Cole which you've used the whole time and doing debate catchphrase. It's everything that you've been doing. They were just like you know what everything you've been doing. Just do it here yeah. It's crazy right when you really think about it right because of course when you start you hope that things like that come true yeah of course in my perfect world in my eighteen nineteen year old brain. I was like okay. I'm going to be Adam Cole forever the character I'm going to build in nineteen an awesome so why would they figured out and I'm just it's going to do this forever but yeah in a perfect world especially because I've had such an attachment to this character and developing and being such a big part and obviously creating the the perception of WHO Adam Cole is so to think that yet to show up here and be able to further develop that character but also I'm still Adam Cole. I still throw my hands in nerine say Adam Kobe Bay and now more people do it with me yeah so yeah yeah. The audience reacts the same. There's just a much bigger audience right yeah yeah yeah exactly it's in arenas now yeah right right which for the first five or six years I know I told you this before but no one did it with me. I would throw my hands up. Yell at them. Kobe people boo somewhere along the line after I'd forced it down their throats for years and years and years they decided okay. It's cool now were they. Were doing it because you get to the ring. You put your fingers in the air and you go bay. Hey and you could see at first people. Were like I'm not that stupid. Why is he doing that so so when they were doing you when you did that? Did you start doing that because you're like. I'm a villain so I'm going to do something that makes people boo or did you honestly go. That's a pretty cool yeah. Oh No. I thought it was cool that for sure is exactly what happened. I had seen Joey Matthews on an independent show yeah and he would walk around and throw his hands in the air with fists I in there and go Joey Matthews Joey math over and over again and the people were getting more and more upset and I was like Oh this is brilliant. This is perfect yeah so I added the baby at the end even more annoying right right exactly so the intention for sure and it worked for a long time to get people to hate me right so and I he used to do it in obnoxious amount of time talking like eight to ten shots so literally every one and a half to two minutes say say fair enough we can throw another one in here is it because you're at a place now where I guess you know. If you watch the show I would still classify you as a villain but at the same time I think there's an embrace to the fact that everybody kind of likes you sure right like you. Don't do things intentionally to get people upset Ed. Do you miss that you could do something like really stupid and go people are going to know this is stupid. They'RE GONNA boom. There's gotTa be some pleasure for comedian median yeah if you're going up and you're like wait my job. I don't have to get the laughs. My job is to get people to Bumi this way funner. I would imagine that when you're like a a real bad guy and your job is to go out there and just do things that people are gonNA hate. That's gotta be the funnest thing in the world. One hundred percent is yeah yeah so I've come to terms with the fact especially in a place like annex t and the the wrestling fan now even the general wrestling fan is pretty passionate and really knowledgeable. I've come to terms the fact that they've been on this ride with me for a really long time even before me so there's a certain respect there for me that I think they feel like I think they've been a part of my journey so intern. They are supportive but I will say this the time where it would really bother me as maybe through the curtain they cheer maybe the they do Adam Cole baby but as the match goes on they start rooting for the good guy cheering for the good guy like when I'm in there with a Johnny Gargano or mm or ricochet or velveteen dream where Matt Riddle. I may get a more positive response through the entrance but ten fifteen minutes into that match. Everyone's chanting Dan for the other guy so that's that's what I'm focused on if you're mid match and you're getting more of a good Guy Reaction Yep. Are you sitting there going. Oh No. I'm not doing my job yeah. I'm screwing doing up here. I got to do something to change. Course I normally do and it works. Yeah I mean that's why your profession. That's why he's a champion in there I'm very are you aware very aware of that normally again. Our fans are so great you know they go along for the ride with us and they are rooting for the good guy but yeah if there's ever scenario where I'm in there was someone and I feel like they're still behind me a little bit too much. I'm like at the change something. This isn't working. That's why my mind is always been boggled at the idea of a going from pro wrestling to m. a. because in MMA like you have to lockout the audience and you might find yourself reacting or not reacting to them but you're certainly not concentrating on manipulating knipling them. You're concentrating on killing your opponent because if you don't your opponents GonNa kill you when you're in a world of wrestling like your brain has to be so so training to go okay. I have to get this audience to follow me on the story that I'm telling I can't imagine shutting that off right. You know what I mean right well because that that obviously is the most important thing for as being a professional wrestler but then on top of that. There's so many other things you're focused on. You're the guy that you're in there with the referee. The cameras time cues like you're spinning so many plates at one time that sometimes people forget okay. I have to make sure I stay in tune with what the audience for instance feeling how they're reacting and making sure they have the best time possible depending on what your job is totally so but but could you see yourself in a scenario where you could turn that off. You know what I mean like if you were doing some other athletic endeavor whether it's Eh may whether it's I don't know basketball whatever you're doing yeah. Could you see yourself going like wait. No no no no no. I just is concentrate on what's happening and not the audience at all so I would like to say that I think I'd be able to do that but I don't know if difficult right I'm so used to you know it's been over eleven years now where have been so focused constantly on the audience and how they feel that it would be incredibly distracting. I think do something and going okay. I just have to focus is on on the task at hand instead of how the audiences feeling I don't know I'd like to say that it'd be able to but I don't know if it'd be able to so for those that don't know amcol as we said baby annex t champion of the world and the reason that he's here is because annex t what started as was wwe's developmental area where where they would take whether it's people like them Cole who have wrestled outside of wwe or people who've never wrestle before or whatever it is and kind of train and allow people people to adapt to WWe style so that when they debut on WWe TV feels comfortable. It's not a shock it's not a you're ready to go but as they brought more people in and people started to WanNa Watch the developmental process people just started watching it as has its own brand and then it launched a TV show on the wwe network and then you guys started doing pay per views takeovers on the wwe network in the takeovers have become. I'm the best shows in wrestling in the world and it's brought to the point that is no longer. There's a secondary annex exte- almost where there still is a developmental system happening but the annex t that we see on television really has nothing to do with developmental anymore its own entity and brand. It's got its own storylines. Its own champions its own wrestlers you you only see the NFC superstars on annex t and it's gotten so big that you guys are moving off the wwe network and as of Wednesday at eight PM Primetime you're on USA on cable across the nation like is that is that mind-blowing that you you. I would imagine you come to annex t you going okay. I've been wrestling for at that point ten in years nine years. Whatever it was yeah and you go I got to kind of figure out this system and then I'll move right on and start doing Monday night Ron smackdown whatnot now I would think that you guys have Wednesday nights on USA? What's the difference between Monday or Wednesday or Friday? This is the spot you're you're. They're like this is it instead of calling coming up instead of calling you up to the main roster they just call the whole roster and made it a main roster. It's it's so awesome because again I've been with an exte- now for a little over two years and even in that small timeframe to see the growth of the brand yeah and more and more people come to these events or more and more people saying I'm a giant fan of annex t has been awesome. I've known that the second annex t got the opportunity to be on TV that we were GONNA create a bunch more fans. I know for a fact so many people who even I haven't even gone to a wrestling show before but they're like all checkout annex t they have an absolute blast so now that so many more people get the chance to see us on..

"This week Nazi I'm wrestling Adam Cole is here to talk about annex t moving to the US network. We're GONNA talk about going over to USA. We're GONNA talk about classroom champions. We're going to talk about a very very polarizing episode of Monday night. Raw Kofi Kingston versus brock listener a whole lot more. This is not sam wrestling is introducing your host from New York. Here is SAM. Oh here we go this. Is it historic week in the world wrestling welcome to not that same wrestling this is history. I think we're going to have several historic weeks in the next few weeks. Okay like I think in a couple of weeks I probably jump on here and say it's a historic week because it bub-bubba true both are historic weeks and we're GONNA hear be here to cover all of it this is not sam wrestling ruling on the week that annex t the developmental brand that could moves to the USA network to potentially take over the wrestling world entirely. It's an amazing time to be alive is incredible and I feel like this. Week is the beginning of everything that we've been talking about. Oh this is going to happen. This is gonNA be crazy. There's going to be nuts. It's going to be history. This is actually happening happening. This is the beginning of everything going down. You Got Velveteen dream versus rodrick strong. You got a four way match to determine Herman the number one contender for the women's championship. You've got so much happening and it's going to have it on the USA network. That's huge now. We're talking about scheduling for this podcast. You remember a couple of weeks ago. I talked about the fact that my plan going forward was as w w and now impact wrestling going long on access as the wrestling world creates more content for all of us to consume. We've all got matched that I've got a match that there's more to talk about about than ever in this world of wrestling and it's GonNa take more time to talk about that then ever in the world of wrestling so not say I'm wrestling the plan is that we're going to move to two podcasts a week. We're going to do the first podcast which is going to be the traditional not sam wrestling show to show that you guys are used to interview state of wrestling segment being about a boom the second podcast will be a reaction podcast. It'll be a bone. It's going to be a bonus by because it's going to happen every week but it's going to be read the addendum. It's going to be the additional podcast. The plan is every Monday starting. I haven't decided it'll be the week after next or three weeks. From now it could very well. I might start on September thirtieth. We'll talk about it next week. We'll we'll make the final plan next week but I believe leave the best thing we can do it. Starting September thirtieth nat same wrestling will move to Monday morning instead of Thursday morning every every Monday morning the podcast will drop so as soon as you wake up to start your brand new league if you're in you know the United States of America if you're overseas as it's GonNa drop at a different time I guess time zones are what time zones are but overnight Sunday going into Monday the pot not sam wrestling will drop drop every week and it'll be the podcast that used to then every Thursday by the afternoon won't be first thing in the morning. Sometimes it might be but probably what we will do an additional podcast. We'll be topical no interview and more of just a recap of everything that has happened happened that week so theoretically the Monday podcast will have an interview and we will cover smackdown. Whatever if there was a pay purview over the weekend we would cover that and then whatever is supposed to be coming up on raw and throughout the week on the Thursday podcast no interview you and we would cover annex T W and Monday night raw and I think I think I think we'll be able to cover just about everything if we do it that way now? This week is a very important week. You're sitting here and as you're listening to this unless you're a Patriot on subscriber unless you're a not Sam Schill and you're a member at Patriotair dot com slash not sam wrestling you are listening to this podcast technically after annexed has already debuted on the USA network. Everybody was on Patriots. Patriots gets the PODCAST as soon as I'm done recording and editing it which is late Wednesday afternoon early Wednesday evening so they'll get it all before for an X. T. debuts on USA. Here's my plan this week annexed debut on USA and we'll talk about some of it in the state of wrestling segment this week. We'll talk about a lot in the state of wrestling but we're GonNa talk about specifically what the move could mean but that's gonna sound silly because by the time you've heard it you it. The move will have already been made so here's my plan tonight. I'm recording this on a Wednesday obviously immediately after an x t I'm GONNA head to the Nazi studio and for everybody. That's it's a member at Patriotair dot com slash not sam wrestling I will go live via video you'll be able to interact and we will do a live annex t on in USA post show that post show will be available to everybody not just patriots subscribers everybody on Thursday Thursday afternoon so you wake up. If you're listening to this podcast the minute it comes out then in a few hours the annexed recap podcast will be up if you wait a few hours if you're listening to this later than when it actually comes out and then guess what there's probably already to podcasts out but this week Thursday both podcasts are dropping this episode and then an addendum is coming right after it okay that way we can get the recap of annex t on USA and we can get it done in real time but if if you want it quickest I mean all the content that we make if you want all the not sam wrestling content that we make if you want all the Nazi in wrestling content that we make absolutely quickest quickest and without any advertisements you gotta sign up at Patriotair Dot com slash not san wrestling. That's where everything goes. I always we're going to talk a little bit about clash of the champions in the state of wrestling but number one so much has happened since Sunday. It seems like we'd be a little foolish to spend too along talking about what happened all that time ago and secondly everybody. That's on patron has already gotten to experience it. We we went on patriotic immediately after clash champions on Sunday and did a Po- show where we recapped every match so if you really want to get into class champions there's a post show up there less than dollar week at Patriotair Dot com slash not sam wrestling so before we get into our interview this week with Adam Cole. Can we all take a moment to congratulate yours truly last professional broadcasters pastor Sam Roberts. If you recall I said that the King of the Ring Twenty nineteen eighteen tournament would simply be a vehicle for Barron corporate and boom. That's what it is. We've had the last couple of weeks of wrestling podcasts have been can't miss whether it was Matt Matt Tremont last week talking about death match wrestling and if you didn't listen to that because you don't know matrimony or whatever reason don't miss that episode it's really really really interesting. It's a great interview with a great wrestler that you should all be familiar with but the week before that we talked to Barron Corbin backstage in in White Plains at the Westchester County Center and it was a nice lengthy interview and he talked about being the king and he was talking about how you know he's been talking talking to his wife about how he's going to have to get a new crown while we are crowned get crushed but you know I did pat myself on the back as I tend to do when Darin Corbin did win in as I knew he would and I said hey man I did it. I predicted this and a lot of people were cool about it. A lot of people were like dude. You're the man you said it was going to happen and by the way I also said weeks ago. The Baron Corbin is going to become cool to like for a long time. He's been cool to dislike. It's going to become much more info to appreciate his contributions. You Mark my words on that and when it does you remember that I was the one on that said all you Barron Corbin haters will turn around and you'll still boom because he's a bad guy but you'll appreciate him in a different light than than you have in the past and probably wanted minute but you'll know and as long as you know I'm okay with that but the thing is there were a lot of people on twitter. There were saying Oh big deal. Ask Professional Broadcasters Same Roberts. That's the most easily predictable thing ever of course we all knew. BANCORP WAS GONNA win. Bro Don't even with me okay. There were a lot of people that pretty barren corporate was going to win once he got to the finals but when those brackets were announced for the very first time people weren't saying bearing Corbin was GONNA win. I didn't hear it anywhere. People's that I was nuts for Barry Corbin was going to win before the break. Even first announced. I said corn was GONNA win. I I wrote out my brackets before they actually announced brackets. They just announced which superstars we're going to be in the tournament and I was saying bearing corn was GONNA win. A lot of people were. You're saying Indrawati was GONNA win. Have you remember when this whole thing I started. I think drew McIntyre was the pick that most people had wasn't bearing Corbin but I knew it from the beginning so I'm just saying give me my credit. That's all and don't pretend like you knew if you didn't know be honest honest. That's all I'll tell you I'll tell you when I'm wrong but I'll also tell you when I'm right and in this instance I am right and by the way we'll talk about it and stated wrestling but if you go back if you go back and you listen to some of the things I said right after clash of champions as it pertains to what's going to happen at Helena cell. I was right okay. Hey and we'll get back to that in a moment but I wanna talk to you guys about the most not one of the most loyal supporter that not sam wrestling has ever had and of course I'm talking about. SEATGEEK seek should not only be supported because they are so loyal to this podcast but seeks should be supported because they are going to make your life easier and they're going to.

"A fact that that there's gonna be a lot of competition <hes> when you put jericho and cody and the bucks on on a program <hes> are y'all. Y'all we already for war. Yes so that's the thing <hes> first and foremost. I think a big reason that an x._t. Has gotten to where we have. There's no choice. There's there's no question of course. There's going to be a lot of comparisons. Obviously we're going live the exact same time. There's these new wednesday night wars that people are calling it but annex t did get to the u._s._a. Network based on the work within an x._t. You know i i've been hearing for weeks and weeks and weeks that <hes> an x._t. Is the third brand. It's a legitimate third brand now. We have the chance to prove that on the u._s._a. Network and for me it just creates such an exciting situation or wrestling fans talked about this briefly or the beginning or mark. I think you would touch base on it. Dude listed so many great wrestling promotions all across the world. There's so many different options for people to watch and enjoy different types of wrestling or different promotions so as a fan and as a wrestler at least for me. I've been doing this for a little over over eleven years. It's never been a more exciting time. It's just been unbelievable. So of course. I think there's going to be comparison. Of course i think they're going to be fans. Who watch both compare the shows and to me. It's just amazing that in my lifetime that's happening again. I think it's so so cool and i'm i'm excited for it and i know our team's ready for it. When can you say when you said third brand. We don't mean third ranked. We mean the third and conception all came. First smackdown came second and now here's here's inex- tea which i hope that the name was changed from inex- t to take over to something else but <hes> because it's not who's next next is is who's now is right now like the war is imminent you can see the two <hes> fields of battle auto benfield by opposite sides and eventually those guys are going to touch and it's coming. It's inevitable and i i wanna i wanna i wanna be. I one to say that <hes>. I think that the match that you had as some slam was the was the best match of the year <hes> i at the moment of being in toronto. I thought that said the rollins and dan brock listeners. Maj was the best and i'm gonna do a tommy dreamer right here in flip flop and not just because you're on the show but because of what did you sit when you came on when we start talking about morrow morrow did such a great job of giving given the life blood to that matching and telling everybody what was going on like if if you were blind ryan i once once i watched a match again i watched it with my son and my son said dad this is unbelievable and and i guess kept saying him look at the bag jacob. Look at the bag on the fence. They're going to dump out the tax and he said no and i say yeah yeah whenever you see the bag that's when the tags come out and his bag filled out pliers and hammers and helen helen tags the jal intentionally know that i love the taxi out took the tax just for you <hes> <hes> you know it's funny is there was discussion it because it's like you said there are certain certain guarantees and wrestling and lots of times when you got a back like that we're ninety nine point nine percents thumbs x. coming out of it so it was it was it was unbelievably awesome even without the tax me being silly almost choking myself devereaux here. It was like unbelievable man. I'm really proud of y'all's work. I see the future's bright in the business and i wish wish you ought to best now. Thank you very much marked into ton and also to mark. You can't say tommy dreamer flip-flop thomasson flip anymore. We know that there and adam thanks thanks so much for the time and you know the last time you were here in studio with us. This tells you the expansion of what's going on in this business right now last time. Adam cole was here in studio. We're doing this show from an an abandoned office here at sirius x._m. Now we got the biggest studio here. It just tells you how big this businesses getting so they got us in the studio. Got a big stop. Stop by paycheck is still the same but you know what i'm talking about. Adam like things are changing for this business is getting bigger and better and it's funny that the last time you were in year you you're sharing the studio with cody rhodes and now we're looking at the landscape and how much it's changed. It really is just a great time to be a fan of this business. Seriously is that and that and that's what has made the most excited because again. I know i touch base on this but just not only for the wrestlers for the fans. There is so much crazy the exciting stuff that's coming up. <hes> it has me excited. I know the fans are really excited. Wrestling has is really going through a hot new period right now and and i'm really really pumped. I get to be a serious part of it and don't forget like wednesday. Nights is yours. As far as i know he has always been on wednesday night so wednesday night yours of of course of course and speaking of being excited and paychecks. I'm sure that y'all are going to be excited. "A pleasure to be onto the guys anytime and we woke you up half an hour early, so you're going to need an extra coffee before in today for TV. So go Yan, not so much. I love and respect you guys. And we got the entire interview that one baby. Yeah, right, right. I got more. I got more to me than baby. Different levels. Thanks, come on, man. It was fun. Appreciate it. Thank you guys, as pleasure. See buddy. Right. Although technically we didn't get through while we got through the interview, I hit three before you hit one. You know, but it's a dicta- it's like it's yeah, he say it now. I know. I know dammit, I understand why the crowd does it. Yeah. Yeah. Good chatman. Good guy. Very refreshing outlook on on, you know, the business and how much he's enjoying it. That's always great to hear. You can see how much fun they're having tells tells the work in that just filters through the TV screen. You know. Super exciting time for him. Yeah. Tell with a guy like him, you know, obviously lifelong fan student of the game understood at a early point that. Like he'd said, he's he's very much like me like or like a lot of guys. You see, you're, you're not the biggest guy in the world to you need to bring something else to the table to stand out, and he's done that, and he's done it in spades. Like, he's, he's a really like said, he's got great presence. He's one of these guys that can hold the hold the audience when he when he stands there, and that's, you can't teach that. No, and a great centerpiece for group. You know, because of that that com, that poise that confidence, you really see why he would be a guy that is kind of the the Lynch pin of of a group and then, yeah, when you back up on the ring at again, it becomes tough to hate, and that will be the challenge. And I think that's something in just talking to. You can tell that that's going to be a challenge that he wants to take on, be exciting to see where he goes going forward. I know a lot of people compared him Shawn Michaels, and there's a similar look. Yeah. I mean, they have kinda similar is and. And but I think it is more than that, and those are huge boots to try and fill. But I don't think he'll try and fill the month thing. He'll be the first Adam Cole and and he's already doing that. So good, good chat, good chat. Like I like so again, great. Talk without him coal. So we've had him on probably year so ago. Good friend of mine. Got him. Mike Kingston from headlock comics once come on and I will chat ski about what is going on with his comic in, you know, obviously he's a lot of guys these more work for. He's asked you to do it. Jerry Lawler does a lot of work for comics and cool thing going on. He does a lot of the comic cons and a lot of India shows and things like that. So it's on the horn. So it's Mike. Who. Areas. What's up. What are you doing. You know, fighting the war. What did you say fighting a whore? Fighting the war. Oh. Like, okay, that's something to do in a day. I talk about that other kind of stuff on the air. You know. What's up man. Good. Talk to you. Yeah, it's been a little. We've been super busy. Been on the road every weekend since may. I think I know it's funny. We talk about the the rest of their life, and we'd said, we had Adam Cole on a talking about later, traveling town to town stuff, and you kind of keep that schedule and nut to to dismiss the fact that you actually have like a like a real job to that you do, but then you go out and you do you make towns brother. I do. I do. There's, I mean, there's no other way to do it. You know, some people ask you, why do you? Why do you keep a schedule like that? But I mean, I'm doing a an independent wrestling comic book. You know, that's not w sponsored and not a superhero book..

"Bach, wink, Lyneham, and cool because he was very poised and because you know, but different, don't get me wrong. There's still digital, but he was he was very poised. And so there's a little bit of that in there too, which is, you know, an extreme compliment because Bach winkle was he was the man, right? Right. So you realize the importance of promos and it sounds strange to say, but it's almost like if you're athlete enough, the wrestling is gonna come, but promos. Don't come to everyone and you can see that and you can see it's a big missing gap and a lot of people over the years if it's not there, no matter how no matter how good they can wrestle in the ring. If that aspect of it isn't there, you're probably not gonna make it to the very tippety top. Right. And. It's it's, it is so important for somebody getting into the business to understand that aspect and break whatever barrier it is. They need to feel comfortable. It's awesome that you didn't have to that. It just came naturally to you because I know for us, it didn't it. It was a work in progress, and then you're, you're working progress on worldwide, television, and that can be daunting, and you might not get that second chance was also something where you were always like very comfortably when you were younger, like talking in front of groups of people because I was really shy kid. So it was always overcoming that fear of of speaking front of other people like I legitimately had that fear when I was a kid of being the guy that would the teacher would pick out class to answer a question in front of everybody. Like I was terrified of that, and you're part of of of the challenge of me becoming a wrestler and even doing promos was kind of become in this character that I always wanted to be as a kid like the way that I always saw myself the way that I wanted to be so used that to kind of get over the things that I was scared of when I was a kid was talking something you were super comfortable. With. Yeah. So it's so funny that you say that because you hit the nail on the head almost exactly of how I always felt. Because when I was in school, if I was talking as myself and I was presenting something as myself or having to answer a question, I was so nervous. I would get red in the face. I would feel sweaty. I hated it. But anytime I was performing, like if it was a talent show or if it's through wrestling and I'm and I'm portraying or being somebody else, I'm so comfortable. So I always been comfortable as Adam Cole that hasn't been an issue..
