"Here we go with number five wheels. Now for this Saturday afternoon, Let's go to Jack up and then hijack. Yeah, We have been driving a Buick enclave for about eight years now degraded by a new vehicle. And what in your opinion of the difference in the Buick enclave? And a comparable GMC or Shiva lay because the price differential Well, the GMC is CIA, Katya And the Chevrolet is the traverse in that market. The GMC is a little smaller than what it used to be, by the way. But when they first came out, I like the Buick Road like kind of like a minivan, in fact, wrote a lot like a minivan. But it was the one that got the best gas mileage. On it had the easiest access to get through all three seeds. The Katya the time. As I pointed out, was the closest thing G M's ever come to knocking off the Acura MDX, but that was a compliment. And the Traverse was the Chevy version. Now, this time around, they've made the traverse kind of look like a smaller Tahoe. And I think that's actually done wonders for sales, just changing the design of it. But I don't know my driving impressions of the three or that much different. They're all fine. If it were me and I were driving one. I would rather drive the Katya because it's actually more fun to drive like an Acura MDX if I really wanted access to be easy and comfortable for everybody. I'd probably still be the Buick Enclave. If I just want something Look cool would be the traverse. And I think that okay, sums it up pretty well. All right. Well, I appreciate the information. We'll use that. As we start our shopping. Jack is the best way to do it is forget the looks of the traverse. Go drive the three of them and you'll see they have three different driving. You get three different perceptions driving the three of them, and one is going to send you better than the other house that good weekend, right up appreciate and let's go to Eddie in Arlington. Hey, Eddie. Come on in and have some information You may already know about. But I have two vehicles has this push button start and one on position. Will am Paolo, and this morning I went out to get in my car. And no remote detected. So I came back in the house. I had another another key pob. My back started. So the matter was down in my remote, But I haven't been home had been on a road somewhere. I'd been a trouble. So I got my manual out and upon impounded after about 30 minutes, so there's a pocket in the glove compartment. In the center console. I put that remote Ian And it'll start and I took that dead remote out there and put it on a pocket. And it started. But you know if I had known that, and I've been better off somewhere where I have been in trouble, did you know that Well. Think if he had been on the road with a dead battery in your keel, a sentry and your owner's manual worn in the car. Then you would still be in trouble. Yeah, it took me 13 minutes to panic and information on the owner's manual telling me what to do. As a matter of fact, I had the Corvette this week. And so there were some questions about the controls because everything's in on that kilos for Bette. Whether to open the front trunk or the back trump because there's two on the Corvette, how to use it in order to take the mechanical roof and put it back or her how to put it back up. The third thing it can do is simply open the engine compartment for you. Which, by the way it does when it's steak in the roof up and down, But this is to work on the engine. And so you would think And when I got to the page showed all the different controls and they're all numbered, right? You were thinking on the opposite page would be a description of what all those numbers are for each and every last little button on the dash and the keyless entry knew. It's printed on the back side of that page. So there's no way to look at all the controls with the numbers and then read without turning the page. What they are So just that alone when I was sitting there going Who put together this owner's manual and signed off on it right because I went looking for the engine compartment, how to open it up in the car, right? And it's like there's no index on the owner's manual, either. So then you go. Really? I've got to thumb with my finger and go 3 300 pages of an owner's manual. And it was just breathtaking. May, however, yes or all their typically systems to get the Push button were to start off if your battery's dead in your Kayla century. The problem with some of these systems is the fact that even though you put your key listen there and it gets it gets a charge off of it is you tend to forget it's in there. In which case you could walk away from the card automatically locks and you can't get your keys at all. Now, can you Push start. I really like it. But there's a problem problem which was it and everybody should know. And the GM should put in our manual or should be up front. I want to do it if the battery is dead. Oh, Eddie, Eddie Eddie. You don't sound like your spring chicken now. So, um, maybe five years. Okay, So let me walk you back to the car since you and I kind of started on where he could literally.

"We help yes Sir I just want to get your advice on if I should sell my car not both my wife and I would tell you it is the worst decision we've ever made I believe we got it back in two thousand fourteen and that's when I was seven Acura MDX those already seven years old I'm only got it for twenty thousand at the town right now we have about eight thousand on it what's it worth today around four thousand or five thousand okay and what your household income taken after taxes the sixty thousand so what's your reason for selling a four thousand dollar car honestly just when I look at it I just I just remind me of the worst decision we've ever made a lot of the time we were in an argument so what do you do when you are an argument you go out and take out a car loan yeah yeah I work for me I've worked with a lot of people in a lot of challenges and I've never heard that just now it is rare that my mind is not on track so really what it amounts to is is not the financial is just you every time you look at the thing you feel stupid yes Sir I don't mind I'm your own some stuff like that and I got rid of it for the exact same reason I'm with you but there's not a financial reason to get rid of a four thousand dollar car when you're making sixty grand it's not doesn't solve any problem for you and so what are you going to get you're going to get another four thousand or five thousand our car right right yes Sir because you got other dentures right yes Sir fifteen thousand okay yeah I mean if you want to trade cars even you don't come out for a thousand dollar car something like that I don't want you going further in debt and using the fact that this car makes you feel stupid to go do something stupid yes Sir okay shows lets just say at a break even if you bought it for or if your budget is no more than five grand if that cars around for five thousand our car anyone trade around a little bit on that and you know you move some of this negative equity on this thing over to a personal loan in the process you end up with the exact same amount of debt and a different car then yes you want to go that route I'm okay with that plan you may want to do it just towards the end of this thing and go ahead of me nineteen thousand dollars making sixty five you'll be debt free a year anyway might drive it to all that and then just sell after it's paid off would be easier to do but you know it's just a matter of how much things are going on your side about and I've had those readers when the you see it man well I mean it is not only just the thing sitting in the driveway staring at you going you're stupid but every time you write a check every month L. man so you're stupid again you know and and what he said twenty fourteen is a six seven years he's been with us so the fifteen year old car they still owe money on yeah yeah I don't mind admitting great all right let's go to Scarlett in Texas I started our hi doctor done I'm doing all right how are you guys right how can we help I don't want to thank you for taking time to help me today I am on baby step for insects with my husband we are thirty four we have three kids my oldest is seven so I am not a baby step five because we're actually feeling pretty resistant to starting baby sent five and I'm pretty sure I probably have to hold my thinking and I'd love to hear your thoughts on that okay so you don't want to save your for your children's college why I'm we at the point that we are right now with her income we should charge for college right now and we have a seven year old so I don't share income dropping more than it is and that we would be able to dress casual college the other reason why I'm resistant to shaving for mentions colleges because I'm afraid it will create a moral hazard for them like while mom and dad or you have the denture money set up for me I don't have to be creative I don't have to try to get college credits in high school or I don't have to work I don't have to do this one only occur if you suck as a parent yeah sure I am really trying hard not to second I'm giving a hard time but so all three Ramsey kids we saved for their college and then we cash floated and didn't use the savings and handed them those mutual funds after they graduated however there are plenty of art in the us was to not exhibit signs of having become a moral hazard to themselves so their their part in this the way you got to go to college and help me pay for it was you were going to live the value system that we teach and live at the Ramseys you're gonna be walking with god you're going to be working you're going to be saving you're not going to be engaging in extreme levels of misbehavior like your dad did when he was in college you're not going to you know live with your boyfriend while you're in college as a value we don't do it the Ramseys inside if you want my money you're going to be leaving the system that I talk to you for a living as you grew up in our home you don't get to go get a degree in beer pong and so you're you're going to have to actually and by the way we're actually gonna get the syllabus out because all four year degrees are designed to the classes are offered if you take them to graduate in four years not graduating it's just lazy I graduated in three years from age I knew that my parents weren't going to pay for it we came from large families and my insurance like we can't do it and so I had to develop the critical thinking skills and really gamed the system will look at you know what you're saying to college so this is in my major plans so that I can get out even sooner and college will cost me last so I'm I that's the thing do you ever do you have to have been deeply in debt to learn the lesson about that answers now mmhm you have to go through what you went through what I went through the same thing trying to get their school on our own in order to become a whole person the eve the fact that my three kids graduated in four years walking with god married excellent spouses and live very very phenomenal their their model lives it says that it can be done are we perfect at it no they'll tell you the rams are perfect if you ask him but that John you've been in higher ed for a Brazilian years what did can this be done I mean can you send a kid to school and pay for it and then not become a brat absolutely and it it I I think it goes back to what you just said it training a boxer isn't just sitting in the head with a stick that's not going to the the that's not gonna help them right and so if you've got the means to help out your kids through college I think that's a great gift you can hand them but like Dave said you don't just hand money over without value attachments to it and yes you can you can grow a brat or you can help grow model citizens and I wish it wasn't that easy but you can and so no you're not gonna be hampering your kid unless you raise a brat you're not gonna hurt your kids by helping him out if you don't save for college while I don't think you've done something morally wrong if you choose to go the direction you're going you just want to have a discussion so we're giving you one but also don't wanna leave you know the idea that you have to do this I got a friend that's in the NFL and he grew up in a blue collar family broke and he you know obviously got a football scholarship to a a major university and graduated in four years with a degree in finance played pro ball after that and really bright guy but he is saving nothing for his kids he's bound and determined because he's a blue collar due to all the way through to his bones and just says they're going to work screw it I got it figured out and it's good form to figure it out and show you calling your camp in that regard but I just I I don't I think that it can be done as a matter of fact I've got a model that shows that.

"Took a lap. It was just luck. Whenever you think. Like, wow. There's somebody dumber than us here. Now, there isn't but to stop I should've known that was that was version of you know, when you're driving anything or racing or driving and you see smoke behind you. It's you right. It's always you like, you're right. If you see something that dumb. I what's it wasn't us. It's it's it's it's the smoke in the rear view mirror. The Acura Currah. The Acura MDX, it's nice, which is like the little bit larger. I drove an Ardy access this small SUV. It's nice. And then the MDX is a little bit larger everything works. Everything works nicely. Kind of enjoyed it. Mike, and I took it for a romantic seven hours in Palm Springs. Drove it out to Palm Springs did a gig and turn around and came home, comfortable nice. And I recommend it. I don't know. I haven't driven a lot of SUV's. So I don't have that much compare it to. But like, it's nice everything works. You know, the Japanese stuff the little more. You know, it's it's not a Range Rover. But it's it's totally nice. And I got working on a sun. I got a bunch of two by fours in that thing. Yeah. I got thirty. We're talking sort of that Ford Explorer MDX Lincoln aviator size. Yeah. Three row. Not Lincoln navigator. It's a little big. But right. Yeah. And worked and and I got used to driving around. And and as I as I get older, I get a little less performance oriented, a little more like utility oriented, a little more pop the hatch and throw the sax in the back kind of thing and could be could be in my future. Well, we're gonna check out a couple more. Yeah. We'll keep you guys posted on that keep you guys posted on when you go into New York. So I'm going to New York like two weeks week and a half from now I'll be there for the press day, April seventeenth, I'm gonna interview Hiroshi Tamura. He's the chief product specialist for the GTRI is mo- brands at Nissan, and our friend peop-. Rock, and we're gonna do nice little interview as one of the press days, and they're all celebrating fifty years of GTRI Nizmia. I think. I think there's an anniversary heritage three seventies. E that's out. Now, they're gonna have their, but we'll record that will bring that in the car cast as well. So we had a sighting Ford versus Ferrari that played a trailer for it. I guess at the big convention in Vegas cinema. Con cinnamon. Some Mike had read on what he read it on. Sorry. Well, is reported everywhere might send you the deadline link which basically just said that everybody really enjoyed it. It is all the tweets. Everything said about it was it's definitely an awards contender and Evans looks a little variety wrote a little bit more about it. They did a Damon plays engineer Carroll, Shelby bale, portrays, renegade driver, Ken miles. A first look trailer shows to the exhibitors seem to check multiple boxes mangled. "Car cash show dot com and look up some of the pictures if you like, but we're going to Schantz at Nashville because every time I see what's going on what's going on what's going on. 'cause I haven't measured. I I've tried to figure it all out. I'm dying to know what's bent on that car and how we're going to straighten it or yes, it spent at all what why the discrepancy. Somebody tweeted me and said, maybe the inside the inside centre of each hub is was all about inch and a half from the right side left sign like, well, maybe they said it that way to go in a circle. Yeah. No. But I don't wanna be dick about it. But the the do that if it was on an oval, but it's a road course car, so they they wouldn't do that right and left. Some people tweeted a couple of ideas, people had some suggestions and things to check and the coil overs and stuff, but we're really more talking about the wheelbase from front to rear not not so much the corner, balancing, but but I like all the I like all the comments I like that you guys participate, but you don't have to tell me to make sure the tires are topped off with air. I understood we get that part. We check the air fare said less was working on the. Yeah. Make sure the tire gauge is on the whale too. Yeah. That's going on there. That's the best story of of profiling ever. Which is when I saw that tire gauge villa track. Like, we're the only dumb people here. Why target in the middle of the track? If we're the only dumb people here. But once again, you doubted yourself you thought maybe it wasn't us. We're the only people here, but there's a tire gauge in the middle of the track. And I've done two laps. And there it is. So can't be from me. So why is it there because it wasn't there? When I did a lap a lap ago. Wasn't there? Yeah. And sure enough, and boy we look back at this picture of it boy was in the middle of the track for so such a good photo of. It wasn't such a middle of the track. And I it was so insane. When I got back to the pits, and I got to him somebody left, and I was looking around all the, Bruce and Bruce Meyers and all the people had their shit together. You know, and I was like who stupid enough to do this only us, but it can't be us. And then last was like, where's my tire gauge, and I'm like, oh just bought it in the middle of the track. Yeah. There's like there's a big ticket item for steel. I guess a sweet tire gauge we're not talking to small Tigers, the big round gauge with the host coming off of it. It's you know, you've seen the photo before. It's. Yeah. It's it's funny..

"That's always the move. They was cut back to the interior of the car and the chick Heather locklear's like on the blower like going. Okay. One mayor Chevron like she's never knocked around going. What the fuck like come on? You have to do that all the time. He breaking whip around like three pointer or just make a left turn bring it around. It's funny because if you start to watch Miami vice as well, the guys who edit that show do the exact opposite of what Nate and his team does every time they cut to the scene of yon hammer playing some tune in. And and Don Johnson driving his car in the middle of the night every time they need to show movement. So he just constantly shifting shifting shifting shift. They there's gotta be eighty four years in that test rose to keep shifting. And then in a chase when he has to go fast and dig into a turn they cut to the stunt car has Bill wheels. No, rear bumper. And you're like what's going on there? I do like when they use a different car. But it reminded me because I'm pretty sure your buddy, Chris Morgan he and his production company are producing the reboot of the Miami vice TV show. Oh, really? I think if you I am db Chris Morgan scroll down what's new with that guy? You're gonna find Miami. Vice that makes me several excited. Interesting. So watching a fair amount. So t j Hooker always starts off with a car chase. And at the end he runs the guy down. He's gotta run a lot of running you do this running running. And at some point you launch like superman jump on the guy. It's clearly that these are the stunt guys roll around, and then they pop up, and when they pop up they get into that age fight where it's like he throws the one rounding blocks it then he does the two body shots tomb Kuban. And another guy goes why then he blocks it, and then he drops it. There was a lot of that in the eighteen as well. Yeah. They take a lot of slow motion diving to take a guy down if you look at the fights fistfights are the same choreography on all which is your guy cracks the first one like like when be brackets or whatever like Mr. T, he'd take one. But then he give to and do the two body shots thinking, and then the wide and the block and then final hook guy down. Right. It was I recommended highly. You guys you guys got an, and it was such a novelty just to see cars. Speeding. You know what I mean? Yeah. Big big heavy square cars with skinny tires. But a lot of sidewall, I know like every single time. Those guys came around the corner. It's a weird thing. Because here we are it's like in the mid eighties. Like we had race cars. You know what I mean? Like, people understood suspension, geometry and tires and stuff singer, just huge. Big V8.'s. Big heavy cars, probably tons of torque and know horsepower. Yeah. Seventy series tires, and this goes skidding across out on and keep on your talking like iron block iron-heads. There was no real innovation at all in any of that. No, no. Live axle leaf spring. Yeah. I think Adrian's med must've wanted money or threatened to go to dance fever or something and split because there's he's all overseas in like one and two. And then when you get the season four, where's his partners? He's gone then bring his name up. There must have been some sort of Adrian's mad contract dispute or something, you know, like at some point guy gets hot wants a payday. Yeah. Know what I'm saying? "All right. So I was driving around the MD ah. Yeah. We did. We get those weights. Those are the way. Yeah. All right. So the GT are Matt guest thirty eight ninety. Yeah. And guess around thirty seven hundred. I took a hundred on. Let's say thirty seven ninety the actual weight is thirty eight thirty six. Okay. That's a really right in between train. Wow. We may be right in between. Yeah. And then the track hawk net. You gets forty seven. Something said forty four fifty four fifty and gets less. What's it's five thousand three hundred six. So that is heavy. I just went with a low number. I guess because I thought it wasn't that big of an SUV, and it's so fast. It's that that lump in that drive train. Yeah. They got away a lot. I mean, if you think about that the super charter the big twin screw super charger with the air to water, enter coaling and the heat exchanger, and all that's probably gotta add eighty to one hundred pounds to the motor. Dodge dodge, gotta come out with without horsepower next. Right. Well, I mean, we have a demon with eight hundred forty horsepower. I don't think we'll see a demon or Red Eye version of of the Jeep Grand Cherokee because it's gonna just it's already too expensive for Jeep Grand Cherokee. So it would just it wouldn't make sense. Sorry, Mexico where you're saying. Oh, yeah. And we're just looking at the dirt. Yeah. You're right. The the actual cars, seventy two four paint Tara and in the dirt. They had the corvette. Yeah. Yeah. See fake. Oh, hey, total fake. Oh, did what are yours that vet and eighties? Definitely eighties. Is that one of the digital dash half? Yeah. Thing but the TAC. Yeah, it's weird. There was a weird thing going on with dash. It's there's like heads up the spray. You know, a Nissan was doing. Which by the way, kind of like is faster going on the windshield? But the tack the night, I think nightrider ruined because I was like, oh, we're going to get all digital. And it could we stuck with regular steering wheel is not the weird fighter jet handles. Butterfly, man. That's what he drove I've been watching a little Knight rider, by the way, I've been watching. It's on at night on cable like exercise been watching t j Hooker. Oh and night right on that channel. I watch Miami. Vice? You know, my favorite part about all cop shows from the eighties. And this goes for chips. This goes for TJ hookers goes for everything it's what they're wearing when they're not in their copy uniforms, like when Panch John punch, rela weren't in like when they're hanging out members only, you know, tight flared pants, you know, weird dingo boots. Look they had to have a lotta ahead of LA. And the look was like it was weird because it was like it was a little dressy for thirty one thousand dollars a year. Like as a cop. You know? I'm betcha. Cops don't dress that nice. But he is kind of the lead. Thirty one seven much possibly get. And it's so funny like and in like someone's killing models, and he's got to find out and everything and the models chick the model chicks have to hit on t j Hooker even though they're twenty three year old models. And he's a fifty one year old cop like a bad hairpiece stuff to hit on him because he's funny because he's TJ hook. But in real life. I mean, so it's Shatner it's like a husky Shatner with a bad piece and the twenty year old miles got to. Ooh, who are you? That would never happen. If he was just a real cop is a husky cop member. Yeah. It's a great. And realize every single episode car car chase everything novelty of an e break was huge. They're going down the street, and it's like one Mary Shelvin when my Shelvin Frank private whole. Olot he whip e break and then peel out after you've got the seventy series tires. So they e break with peel out, and that's the move..

"Off our auto expert, Nick miles. This is KOMO news. You know, there are so many new cars being launched this year that it's almost impossible for all of us to get to all the events Perry. You got the chance to go drive. A new Honda passport a reissuing of the name. But it's not anything like the possible to the past. Is it? No, the passport of the past was actually in a Suzy rodeo, it was sold, you know, basically late ninety s through early two thousand and it was basically just a rebadged Suzy rodeo. And at the time, I think Honda was the Honda odyssey was being rebadged business Susie oasis kind of exchanged. But this new passport is based on the pilot, which has seen great success. It's a bit smaller. I think wheelbase is about the same. But it's got better ground clearance. It's really designed as an adventure vehicle. That's what they're going for a question. So the pilot is basically the same as the Acura MDX, correct? It's just the body portion is very different. So the accurate smaller. It's lot sleeker. It's a lot more sporty. So presumably, then it's the same would follow that the passport is the same as the MDX. But it's smaller than the MDX and smaller than the possible. It is it's only a five passenger and way Honda's looked at it as this is kind of a gap that they have not filled in a long time. So they had CRV which was a small five passenger. And really the next step up was passport, which is a pretty large vehicle. So this is going to fill that gap nicely ended also is more adventure. Like, I mean, they've made it more aggressive looking like you said they've raised the ground Clarence. They put molding around the bottom of the vehicle. The basically makes it look even taller one of the things. It's very hard for me to do is to now. I guess gender is the vehicle because you always want to say, it's more masculine. But the trouble is there are some ladies who liked to drive very masculine beefy offroad 'cause you've seen the stickers like trucks if a girl silly. Man likes beefy SUV's. So masculine is probably not the correct word aggressive, then makes it sound like somehow it's out of control could bite. If you're not careful, you know, there's there's no good words. Now too strong looking how about that. All right, but the strong. Week. Why would strong that makes no sense? Everything else is weakening, isn't that? That's what they would like you to believe. Yes. All right. And so we did take off road and to show that it was an offroad vehicle. We actually went to MOAB Utah, which is typically where you take jeeps and major off roaders. And no we didn't drive it where Jeep would go. It was muddy snowy roads. And we went over some rocks. It was not something you could do into wheel drive. How big were the rugs? They were big enough that if you went to fast, you probably scrape bottom. All right, maybe eight eight inches. Yeah. I suppose. But the nice thing is that they've, you know, the four wheel drive systems all electron EQ. And so they've got all these different drive modes and actually happened snow mo-. They do have a snow mode, which would have been a lot of fun up in Seattle this past week. It's actually the most fun to drive. They don't have a sport mode in the car. But what snow mo- does is it puts most of the power to the rear wheels. So it's a rear basically becomes more of a rear wheel drive vehicle. It also lets the wheels spin a bit more than it would typically. So you basically end up with a vehicle that you could practically drift. Which if you're driving enthusiasts is, you know. But you want I is this kind of a big gap between the wheel and the cladding. Yeah, I'm the vehicle. So it looks it looks like it has a lot of ride height for you know, going off roading a little bit. Also, I liked the black wheel option that makes it look a little bit stronger. Little bit more dominating. I'm discovering words he had to make no not masculine or aggressive. But makes it won't be and those things so they've done a lot of design trickery to make it look sort of tougher. Exactly. I mean, you think about it most people buying vehicles like this are not gonna go to MOAB and go off roading they want people to know that they can. But you know, so a lot of appearances is very important it needs to appear that it can do all of these aggressive offroad things or whatever word you want to use. Thinking about their verbiage. Now exactly you could hall a Jeep in Honda. Right. That's okay to do five thousand pounds thousand pounds. You could because.

"And we're proud to do what we do. Of course. It's not your normal talk show. We don't try to change your politics or religion. Let's just get right to helping. That's what we do. So let's do it three zero three seven one three talk. Alex says he bought a car. Now. This is this is a common problem you buy a car, you get an extended warranty or warranty you buy with the car, and it doesn't cover anything. But Alex, I have several questions you bought this car wear first of all sprinkler auto in Longmont, Colorado sprinkler, and I've said this before per capita Longmont has the worst car dealers. In in Colorado per capita for some reason, the ripoffs that come out of Longmont. I don't know why I don't know if they got the memo and went there number two for ripoffs Greeley per capita, then Colorado Springs, then Denver so sprinkler auto in Longmont, and what kind of a car did you buy two thousand and three Acura MDX, Acura MDX, how many miles at the time. It had probably a hundred and fifty thousand on God. That's terrible. That's just an accident. Waiting to happen out there as far as problems, I know people think because it, you know, Acura or Toyota or Nissan, or whatever the high mileage won't matter it does. But did you get it completely checked out compression testing body, everything when you bought before you bought it? No, I don't really I didn't know where to take that. And me and my wife were kinda under a time restriction. Someone had hit her other car in total NBA insurance company would only going to cover our frontal Carper, so long. Yeah. It's too bad. Because anybody in jam like that please don't get ripped off. I'm not saying you got ripped off. But it's it's so hard to because warranty. You bought that warrants? You ball probably is useless or did it. Did it come with it? Did you buy it? Or did it come with it? Now, they they they they talked me into it. I figured with how much did you pay for the warranty? The warranty was an extra. An extra twenty dollars a month for thirty months. So well, what did you pay? What did you pay for the car the card self was five thousand but through financing? They charge us an extra two thousand. Of course, that's always the case so five thousand plus you paid for the warranty. Yeah. I figured with as many miles on it. It wouldn't hurt the extra twenty dollars. Well, actually, the more miles on it. The worst the warranty because warranties were warranties. Don't cover preexisting conditions. Okay. Just see you know that. I mean the warranty you bought the warranty. You bought what you paid over a thousand dollars for does not cover preexisting conditions. It does not cover, wear and tear. It does not cover neglect. Now, just so, you know, with inaccurate MDX with one hundred fifty thousand miles virtually the only problems, you will have our normal wear and tear owner neglect or pre existing conditions. So what does it cover factory defects? I ask you with an oath three-car. What factory defects have yet to be discovered zero? Okay. And I'm not doing this to preach to you. By the way, Alex we have listeners who who gain information from call. So I'm doing I have a two purpose here. One to help you in one to help others. So here's the deal with that warranty. You'll also. Notice a clause in there that says that when the key how long is the warranty four, by the way. I'm not I'm not sure I don't have any of the paperwork in front of me. I'm sorry. Well, was it a two year three year four year? You said three years you're paying on it is that a three year warranty. At least I would assume so yeah, it's it's just a payments with our car. So I would assume it's for the duration of however long we owe payment the car in in your paperwork for that warranty. It's going to say. That when the cumulative total of repairs equal the market value of the car, then you no longer have coverage. So even if they did cover stuff it starts, adding up and the car starts going down in value. So coverage terminates when they get to the market value of the car. So let's talk about this car. It was leaking oil. And you took it there and said does warranty cover it. They said, no. Why did they show you in the warranty where it wasn't covered? Or did you just take their word for it? I asked them to make the call in front of me their their previous technician who stopped returning my call. And then retired. The I think his word for at one time on another little minor thing. So I had him call in front of me, and he called the one eight hundred number on the brochure that they gave me for the warranty. And he talked to waiting said, no, none of that will be covered. But did you see in the warranty y? No, I did not. So they could say anything's not covered. And you just would believe it. I guess so. Yeah. Okay. So then as far as the problem, you pay two thousand dollars for what did you pay to have done? They said it was like how I can't. Remember it right now. I'm sorry. Engine mount that has nothing to do leaks. I know it everything on the paper that they gave me didn't seem like it had anything to do with the league. And then when my wife brought it back and said, I need you guys, you know, backup your repairs kind of day by your word be asked us about about the league. And it still leaking. He told us to be another two hundred dollars to fix the league, which I paid cash works. I assume it was an oil pan. And so what did they do for the two hundred? They changed the oil pan out, and it's still to this day still leaking. And now you pay two thousand two hundred dollars and the the two thousand how much did that add to your payment? Well, I financed directly through them with their mechanics. So I now have a car payment now mechanic payment. How much is the mechanic payment? Mechanic payment is two hundred dollars a month for the next six months. And I've paid about four hundred of it. So I have another well you've been ripped off. You've been ripped off at every turn. Do you realize that at every turn and car the car's not gonna last night? I mean, not only do you have a car. That's not gonna last you have you pay two thousand dollars for nothing. They did nothing that you asked them to do. Well, I don't know what to do. But I here's what I would do. I'm gonna tell you what I would do. I would house your credit. It's not great. But it's not terrible. I I've been working on it. It's it's I would say I think it's in the six hundred. I don't know if that's what about your wife's credit. It's not very good. And so the the pro do you guys on a home? No, we do not we rent do you ever plan on owning home? I'd like to someday. Yeah. I would drive the car back and park it there and tell him to shove it, I probably wouldn't tell him to shove it. I would say I've been ripped off. I made a very serious mistake. But I would get a make arrangements for transportation somehow before you do that. Then I would declare bankruptcy. That's what I would do. I'm going gonna tell you the truth. I would only wait until they come after me, then I'd go bankrupt. And I would start over fresh and I would stop making stupid mistakes. I would build my credit from ground zero and just call this a learning curve because you're you're so deep right now. I don't really know what you're gonna do. Now, you could pay you could pay this car off you keep it. But I doubt the carbon even last. I mean, it's it's not it's got one hundred fifty thousand miles. You're going to need a transmission soon. That's gonna be twenty five hundred dollars. You're going to need. I mean, I'm just being straight with you, man. You made one of the worst purchases in your life. This is what I mean when I talk to people and say that the one decision like this can just ruin your life. I I mean, can and you gotta stop it. You gotta stop the bleeding. Okay. Can you afford to pay this off and keep paying because now you still have an oil leak, which is you know, it could be a head gasket for all, you know? I wouldn't take a here's what where where are you located personally where are you located? I live in Longmont. Okay. If I were you I would call SOS inspections and arrange to meet them somewhere, and I would pay for an ask him to give you a break or we'll ask him for you there on the referral list. I would find out. I what the hell is wrong with the car. That's what I'd wanna know. I okay. Then you you give us the the diagnostic the diagnose. Basis along with your warranty. And let's figure out if we can force them to fix it. Okay. Okay. As far as financing, the two thousand items immediately stop paying that. And tell him that you say Sumi for because you're you're a crook. You did nothing to stop this oil. You have to start growing some balls and doing something here.
