"So sage next topic would like to cover is the importance of integrity in a leader. Yeah I I guess This really hit me again going back to my days as a as a Midshipman one more instructors was a marine and always a Korean War veteran might have been World War Two veteran as well but in any event as one of those times when when the instructor can kind of get off subject to talk about what we were there for which was to go out as a second lieutenants are insincere and lead sailors marines and his words were still with me and he said some of those who choose to come in the Marine Corps may find yourself in a situation where you're giving orders that will cause the men that you're leading to die and it isn't asking too much of you that they perceive you to be a man of integrity and just hit me and I thought you know that's yeah they make and then later in combat. I thought John I'm on orders from from other people. Do I consider them to be men of integrity and is just? It can't be a thing of well. I don't think your personal tech you're not going to carry out your order but it certainly makes it eat that easier to say. I'm willing to put my life on the line because I believe that. This leader is a person of integrity and so that always stayed with me so in a talk given on leadership about Would lead should be. I say that they should be leaders of morality as well as integrity and the question comes up. What was the difference between Morality and integrity? And then I asked the question. What do you think get different answers? And I said well let me share with you. A book called Rushworth kidder. Called how good people make tough decisions and his position is that morality is a choice between right and wrong. Good and bad Con Easy to distinguish sometimes difficult to carry out. The you know the right thing but it's you know black white you know find you know. There's a line between the two. The challenges that ethics is a choice between right and right and all you get puzzled. Looks right and right. How can you have a choice between right? And he said well think about this Kidder said that It's life. We have a kind of a constant ethical dilemma in four different areas and those areas are justice versus mercy honesty versus loyalty short-term benefit versus long-term benefit the good of the individual versus the good of the group on each one of those were comparing or having to choose between not right and wrong but right and right and that's what makes it so difficult. It's the ethical dilemma. Because whatever right that you choose the back of your mind is the fact that you rejected another right. So did you choose the the correct writer and I assure fans on you know honesty versus loyalty. You know how many of us have ever been in that situation class classmate loyalty you know you. Don't rat on a friend and all those things but but ours were supposed to also be pupil. Honesty of honor Justice versus mercy. How many of your parents nominee have run up against that of of ensuring that your child goes up to be a person of integrity But understands that there's got to be justice but to do so without breaking the spirit or will that child says got to be the mercy part of that as well and then the long term versus short term. You know we understand that. And then of course the good of the vendor vigil versus the good of the Group. All of these are rights. They all begin our start with the you know the good of the benefit of So that's that's the challenge. How do you get that? You know that's not. Don't you through training? That's done through education. That's done through the way we were raised. You know what's Okay and what's not. Okay it's reinforced by the culture. In which relocated Marine Corps culture has motto Semper Fidelis. Semper always not when I get around to it or one is when is okay or when you know. It's it's convenient it's always. It's the basis for any relationship of of permanence and then fidelity faithful honest loyal. All of those things that are necessary that We want I said the dollar is a term. We don't use much these days but during the past it was a fairly common term. In fact we used to name our dogs. Fido rid of fidelity fight on the that the loving caring that the companion that that faithful Loyal the being that we have with US final and then remind people that know cat has ever been named. Fido which is kind of apology to cat. Lovers cut up. But that's the the idea that you have these challenges and to be a person integrity means that you you make the right call and the desk developed through education through the things that we read the culture in which the people that we stronger sauce with. Are you surrounded by people that that you see also people of Integrity? That that you're comfortable with that you know are going to make the right call on it you. You would not feel ashamed to say. Gee I made this call because You know I just thought that was not not that big a deal. I mean all. These things are necessary in the development of leaders and But especially that role of integrity. Who wants to follow a person without integrity? You know what are the value of his or her decisions that are going to cause us to put our lives on the line and so the leader just has to have integrity and in my mind absolutely. Until you said that but I guess it makes total sense with the unwavering loyalty of Docs Ohio and and the dog lovers out there. We'll all that I mean you know that. Faithful companion that wakes up in the morning and he just can't wait to to make you happy. Oh God what a what a wonderful being you know. Dogs are and how grateful that God made them in that that the dog chose to be on on our side of the hugh the split between animals and humans absolutely so what other Do you have some examples of tough decisions that you may you've made in your life in regards to write versus rate? I'll I'll share with you. An example of of one that Things kind of emergency. I was at headquarters. Marine Corps Got A call from General Krulak my dearest friend and he had this situation he said this is a heck of a story. The story goes back to World War. Two and there's an Irish lad from Chicago was in the army when off to to England in preparation for the the big invasion and fall in love with the IRS girl and The Gut Murray conceived a child he went off and fought came back. The marriage Fell apart so they got divorced and he came back to Chicago in one thousand nine hundred sixty six the mother because of the troubles that are taking place in an Ireland context. Father and says listen on this kind of dangerous spotter. Would you mind if we sent our son To live with you at Chicago and the father said sure no problem so the sun shows up kicks around for a while gets bored and decides to join the Marine Corps nineteen sixty six. If you joined the Marine Corps. There was one place that you could be fairly certain you're going to go. And that was Vietnam Right. So he's about to ship out and he says Gee I probably ought to call my mother and told her about this Hide and listen. I I got kind of bored. Here's Soy Joined the Marine Corps. She said you what I didn't send you the United States. You could join the Marine Corps and go into into dangerous situation. You get your little Irish but backyard. Harlan immediately and so he does he. He deserts background so and is now she would assist about nineteen ninety one or so maybe a ninety two and There's a wedding in Chicago. They're going to fight. All the relatives. Include this individual. Who's no ma'am issues up in immigration and a pops up deserter. So they take him away and change to the dude adjudicator whose General Krulak in Quantico. So they bring him in and and is he's bad shaven so generally calls me and says what do you think about this? Is that the Guzman Bad Chevy said a couple of heart attacks. He's not survive prisoners of but my lawyer just saying I got hammered the sky. You've got a standard example for for the rest of the ring card is I'm Kinda Kinda wondering you know. What what do you think about this and joy swear to God? That immediately in my mind was a palm not a poem but a Soliloquy that sister Marilyn my freshman year in high school made us memorize in was from the merchant of Venice and it was with Porsche's saying the quality of mercy is not strained it dropped with as a gentle rain from heaven upon the place.

I guess we should say try not to try not to get cancelled over. Yeah Big Game Merch all in place. So make sure you're gonNA Barstool sports store to check it all out out by those things and help us out as well now. Let's get in to the interview or we talk about the war on drugs number three I I trump as you may have seen a new online petition out this week asking president. Donald Trump signed an executive executive order creating a war on drugs service medal. The petition would create a total force award to recognize active duty reserve guard auxiliary and State Service members who fought in the war on drugs anytime from June eighteenth nineteen seventy-one to present as of last Thursday afternoon. Only two people had signed the we. Are The people petitioned we the people petition But it's gaining a little bit of steam and we have the Creator Thomas Marriott on the horn with us all right now Thomas. Thank you for joining. Hey Hey thanks for having me. I'm I'm that guy and I'm grateful opportunity to be here Not sure that The Right Messenger. And I'm definitely not an expert on the war on drugs but I'm more than happy to kind of share my journey in the story and some of the things that I've observed over the last few years. So what got you involved in in this messaging in this. 'cause what was your. What was the onus for you? The initial genesis was Kind of unwittingly. The war on drugs had a kind of a big impact on my life when I was a kid My father was in the eighty second airborne and when I was four years old Over Christmas is when they were deployed for operation just caused which is considered kind of the largest combat operation and were on drugs history when we invaded Panama and toppled toppled the regime there et cetera? And so Kind of some of my earliest memories were from that time I remember. There was a big snowstorm in Fort Bragg at the time and looking out the window. Oh you know wondering if my dad was gonNA come back and all that kind of stuff and so as I got older and got more interested in history and military history at Cetera. I started doing more research. It's just about Operation just cause itself odds. It's it's yeah was this super successful but very short combat operation that you know is this is relatively looked over in the annals of US military history and so As I started digging into it and two thousand fifteen It kind of just opened the door to the whole war on drugs history itself And I just as I continue to read more and more and more it was just it was surprising to me. Any how many combat operations there has been and how little coverage you know the received and that kind of continued to is just like build on itself And at some point I just thought hey you know it's really interesting that there's just not a lot of Recognition for the duty and the sacrifice. That has it's happened in the war and so I decided to kind of lead this lead this initiative because nobody else was doing it and taking that step and whenever you're doing it and you're are putting it out there that you want to have it whenever you see guys like me who write an article making fun of it. Essentially like this is bullshit. We shouldn't be doing this do you. Do I wanna give give you an opportunity. I told me to go fuck myself. And secondly did you expect that knowing and reading up about the military history. Did you expect those types of blogs blogs to come out that type of opinion of course of course. I'm I'm familiar with you. Guys Yama Fan. I fall all the memes online. Of course you know I I was just having this conversation with James over at task and purpose which is you know. It's like the ultimate Perfect storm right. You have the Internet culture. which is Kinda you know its own cynicism? And I don't give a thought about anything and then you've got military culture which is kind of similar and then you've got pop culture Taylor and for you know obviously especially the millennial generation we grew up with movies like half baked and Pineapple Express and and so when most people think about the war on drugs blogs and think about drugs. In General Ed's you know does a bunch of Bros.. Smoking Pot it's all harmless that kind of stuff and so I knew that I was going to basically trigger trigger. Everyone I I. I was hoping I would break the Internet. A little bit more For the Sega petition. But yeah I I get it that I'm that guy and And so I was. I was ready for the trolling I sell reading and I think it is interesting like you said I do like that. You're starting this conversation Asian about the warranty because reading the things here are more than two hundred and fifty thousand servicemembers have served in the like. I put in quotes the war on drugs since president. Nixon percents And then it's cost more than one trillion with a t and killed or wounded at least five thousand Americans and as you noted It has killed more American civilians civilians via overdose than civilian casualties of the war on terror. World War One World War Two all these things so I think it brings up a much larger and more important conversation. We're so worried about terrorists terrorists and this and that when really like drugs are killing far more Americans like looking at the math and and heroin epidemic right now and all that stuff like great conversation I I felt a little torn as somebody. 'cause I saw the metal and the design for the metal on the one side is going through the poppy fields in Helmand province right. It's Mike about where they make the hair and everything. I was one of those troops at the same time. Oh gals dabbled in a little bit of drugs myself. Nah Maybe team shrooms could gain. Maybe a couple of miles ecstasy Marijuana alcohol prescription Pill Abuse Anabolic Steroids. GMT emt all the good stuff. Yeah anyways the steroids were to get ready for a PF t by the way that was only to get ready for but no. I haven't done all this but I have dabbled in dry like so it is just like I was just saying I I just I feel like I could wear it but also I'd be a little bit of a traitor right and I house the hypocrisy I wrote this blog making fun of the metal itself itself and when Tim reached out to me and he he's a check out this video of Delta. You know whatever you're thinking the war on drugs you're thinking of Little Nancy. Reagan just say now sitting in a wooden chair wearing her hair shirt. You're not thinking of combat operations that are happening deep inside the the jungle and being very dangerous and that's kind of the point you WanNa make right. Yeah of course First before we move onto that my question is what did you score on the ABSDF view Aegis to eighty five. I don't like to Brag crashing demon. It was worth the hair on my chest and the lack of it really. Yeah I mean chapter near Defense. That was the thing I actually. I appreciate it You know you were considering during the the nature of all of Your Pos. You're actually pretty objective on it at the very bottom. You'd you'd put you know I you know. This is all qualified based on you know people that have done actual actual combat operations. You know obviously The the war itself has been going on for forty eight years it spanned six different administrations all types of different policy all over the the place And the late eighties and nineties is one. We really ramped up things down in South America which is kind of what you're you're indicate and of course we're we're still down there Do on dance but because we crush the medi cartel Most of it has moved up into the Golden Triangle and Mexico. And so there's not as many combat operations there but You know movies like that. I'm sure if more with like clear and present danger kind of you know at the time during the nineties reflected some of those. You know a a black ops kind of things off the radar but that that was the kind of the point in the narrative that I was I was really wanting to highlight as I cannot tell you guys unexpectedly okay. How many emails I received over the last few years of random? That's reaching out to me saying. Hey you know I. I was in the war on drugs. I can't tell you when aware you know but I really appreciate what you're doing highlighting bringing attention this side. One guy who bud Took a shot in the face All that kind of stuff so I totally get it. It's it's really easy to think about you. Know just some guys down on the border eating snickers and I expect you to me your age that you are. You're young guy. Yeah you're probably still. I expected you to look.

"We could be quite L, and we have been helped to them on weapons and probably a lot of intelligence that. None of us knows about. Yes. There is a relationship. We do exchange information and intelligence because they are deathly afraid of the Iranians, okay? Shia versus Sunni, and so in the Gulf in the Gulf right on the Gulf states, very all most of them are all very concerned with Iran and their nuclear program. And the million man army give take the Iranians they have which by the way in context, we've got if you add up all active duty reserve guard and everything else word about two million. So Iran has conventional army half the size of ours. Yes. Not as well equipped. Correct. But they do have an air force. They do have a navy. They have all the traditional weapons if you will they were pursuing nuclear weapons. They exa spe exercise in the Gulf. I've seen it personally. They exercise their their weapons every few every couple times a year, actually where they put on this way all their weapons in the in the Gulf and. To make the Gulf states. Just not it is they do. They're they're petrified. Petrified of the Iranians. I I know. For fact, I've had discussions with Emirati officials and Saudis and the mind Omanis their their their number one concern because history as we know the Iran, Iraq war and other disputes is ongoing disputes in the region over islands off the coast of Dubai with the Iranians. And so they are deathly afraid of the Iranians. And so we do work hand in glove on the intelligence side, sometimes the Saudis and other states in the Gulf, but we also know that they do have issues themselves with human rights, human abuse, women's rights. And you know, they do have terrorists quite frankly running around. All those countries including Dubai, Eric. I really appreciate you taking the time. Thanks a lot for joining up with the CPAC. We're glad to be with you live today for CPAC its final days actually tomorrow, the gatherings going to hear from President Trump, and I'll be anxious to hear what he has to say. "Of borders, language, culture. And here he is author of stop mass hysteria. Michael savage. God bless God's warriors. Welcome back to the Savage Nation. Hatred is in the air. We are living in an age of hate in which mental pollution is worse than air pollution. The most accessible and comprehensive of all unifying agents. Hatred is spreading like a virus into all too willing hosts, unifies, knee jerk. Liberals, no matter what their other differences, the hatred of conservatives of Trump, and his voters is just one of many cases of mass hysteria infecting American society today, but as likely the most destructive. Mass hysteria by the way is not a new phenomenon. The PC obsessed universities have today were actually born in the fifteenth century went on popular religious and political beliefs were often targeted you gotta remember that the impetus for Christopher Columbus's voyage in fourteen ninety two was in part the persecution. He suffered for his religious beliefs. The new world the opened up was equally hostile to outsiders in seventeenth century. New England rival religious factions vied for power by labeling powerless, often foreign women as pawns and then executing the witches, then they were burned at the stake. Today victims are destroyed and internet flame wars. These words are written and stop mass hysteria. I'm award Smith. If you can call the show, it's eight five five four hundred seven two eight two eight five five four hundred savage, caviar Colorado. Mitch you're up on the Savage Nation out of Colorado Springs. I believe what's on your mind. Mitch. Hey, michael. I just I didn't have a chance to thank you in person on Saturday for being there. I was the I was just seeker. And you were great. I I'm so sorry. I had to leave. You were amazing the store you told us as a high school dropout where you went in life because of the military. Yeah. I I call myself a successful failure. That's how you're greater. I heard I heard your speech. I wanted to catch every word. Why don't you summarize Mitch what in in a short version, you started by saying you're a dropout from where I went to college for three years just with punk kid and dropped out after three years and enlisted in the army directly with a special forces contract. Now, how did you how do you get to enlist as you can't just want to enlist in special forces? Don't you have to qualify? Yeah. You have to qualify. I I had a contract from the recruiter. That says we're going to give you a tryout you're going to get a chance to go. But there's no guarantee that you'll make it, and I just put my head down and stuff it up and suffered through and graduated this special. Forces course, got my green beret was assigned to that's where I stayed throughout mine active duty reserve and Dr. You know, one thing I admire in addition to your service to the country is the is the brotherhood that you men have with each other. It was something for an outsider to I felt as though I was inside a very special peek inside a group of such tight such a tight community. You know, what I mean that I don't belong to Mitch. Well, I'm glad you recognize that. But honestly, new you are adjunct member of that community. I sit back and let the young guy the soldiers come up and take pictures with you and talk to you. And I don't know if you've noticed the social media, but guys like Guinea and other guys probably posted pictures, and the and the comments is so positive about you being there and just want to thank you for your generosity. Association. And well, here's the thing. I'm still trying to get in touch with the gentleman who gave me his card because I wanted to make a significant donation to the scholarship fund if you can find them, let them know I emailed because I haven't been I haven't heard from my well, I'll follow up myself. Another question. And this is a little touchy where our special forces warriors buried where do you where you cemeteries? Well, like like any fallen hero this soldier before that unfortunate occurrence put down on paper work. Where we deploy. We have to do pretty significant packet that explains where we'd like to have our remains interred. Whether we want a military funeral a private funeral. Whether it's cremation whether it's passed a burial. And we select the cemetery. So some of these some of our soldiers are buried in family cemeteries on on the farm in Nebraska other buried Arlington National Cemetery here in Colorado. Remember falling special forces heroes are buried at fort Logan, national cemetery. So the soldier and his family decide before that unfortunate occurrence where where he would like be laid to rest. You know, when I got there in the dark and the cold night, and I got out of the car. There was a bagpiper on the porch. Yeah. That cut right through me. I gotta tell you that. No, he played the ballad to the green beret. I know you recognize the music played. What is really our our official anthem of the army special forces at oak song written by Barry Sadler in the mid sixties. You will always be a special forces event, whether it's a holiday party like you would cabbie like general or a memorial service. And the ballad of the green berets will always be played. And it's. It matters a lot too young young men going through stuff of forces training. You kind of how how how often do you have outside is like attend your parties? Very rare. Actually, it's it's very rare. Because as you saw we are we are a warrior society, and we we allow others in on carefully. So your your credibility and legitimacy though, within our community long been established every guy there knew who you were. I'm want to let people now that are listening right now that the the young soldier the national guard soldier who a billion job. A plumbing business you did a commercial for him. He did a plug for him. And he told me that night. His business increased by one hundred percent. He people were calling him for contract saying, Don, I don't care what you charge. The fact that Michael Savage, recommended your business at all. I need to know ni- heard that it was from Mr. Jimenez, right? Yeah. Thank you, sir. Thank you for touching him and his family. He's a great guys wife is great. I mean, what wonderful people and the only. Fear. I had was time myself too closely because of the haters in the San Francisco area, he told me got some threatened to boycott, and he just hung up on him. Because that most of these people don't even have indoor plumbing and planning. Here's the thing. People should know the so-called boycotters of conservatives like Michael Savage, don't amount to a hill of beans in terms of actual purchases. And yet they control the mentality of advertising agencies everyone's afraid of them. But there aren't that many of them? Hey, let me ask you another crazy question. Do you think that I could get that bagpiper to play at my funeral? I'm joking. Well, you you you're attached to the chapter that forces association chapter through your good friend. Who's a member of the chapter? You Michael you have access to all all the things that are officially and ceremony. Ceremonially? Well, I really appreciate what you're saying. And I'm gonna I'm gonna make it very generic right now. I hope I'm around for a very long time. But I'm going to say right now that God forbid if something should happen to me that individual. You just mentioned will be one of the first to be notified who will send out a message to everyone in that organization as to where the following events will occur. If you know what I'm saying clear and thank you. And we will we will take care of you like you take care of us. And we all take care of one another. Well, I'm gonna take a break because this is very emotional for me right now. Join the Savage Nation..

"Goldberg and co founder and CEO vaccine. Jim van Bantu high is with us Joe here, we go. Kids, isn't it something every president every campaign will have their closing arguments, and you can go back, and whether it was Barack Obama or whether it was Ronald Reagan, whoever was running for president Vail always had and their parties always had their closing argument. This is why you should reelect us. This is why you should this is our message. This is this is who we are. Now. Normal times Republicans would use that tax cut that they passed that was supposed to be their closing argument or. Perhaps the supreme court justices or perhaps Donald Trump, you know, bragging about remaking the judiciary, of course, lying saying. He's appointed more judges than any other president since George Washington. You could go down the line of things that you would expect the economy this president to use his closing argument. But what Donald Trump, and what the Republican party that is now been completely taken over by Donald Trump is using his is racism, and you see it Donald Trump saying he's going to circle the constitution with an executive Ori? Can't do that. He knows he can't he's hoping there enough stupid voters out there that don't understand. You can't do that. You have people on right wing talk radio and right wing TV talking about this mall pox, but we Aratu gated. That was oh migrants gonna bring in smallpox and other diseases. You have the most outrageous claims the present talking about ten cities and. Get this. James Mattis, couldn't even talk Donald Trump in at first into keeping enough troops to three or four thousand troops in Syria to defeat and finish ISIS and to push back Orion. Could talk him into doing that. And yet he's sending five thousand troops down to the border. When that's not what our troops need to do or troops need to be home with their families in between all of these tours because. My god. These these people are over thousand miles away probably aren't gonna even get to the border. It's anything like last time. Maybe twelve thirteen will be arrested. But again, it's not about anything other than scaring Americans and actually appealing to the most racist base instincts. And if it works, God help us all I don't think it will. We've got a new poll we're going to talk about that shows Donald Trump's approval ratings dropping which is not a surprise given his dreadful performance over the past week. Well. The Pentagon announced it will deploy fifty two hundred additional troops to the southern border by the end of this week in response to a caravan of migrants, but aren't Central America Ming, actually. Yeah. In response to nothing. It's incredible. The announcement marks the largest quick deployment of active duty US troops since the response to the twenty ten earthquake in Haiti former officials told the Wall Street Journal, the troops and mix of active duty reserve and national guard forces will join more than two thousand national guard members already at the US Mexico border exceeding, the combined US military footprint in Iraq and Syria. Just take a second and insane. They're going to be staring at the border at nothing dirt. And they are doing it warranty. You Mika the day after the election. They're going to start. Talking about pulling them back. If anybody ever gets down there they will be pulled back because his an election ploy, and it's a one because actually now Donald Trump is playing with the lives of the men and the women and the US military mak- time when we've had a terrorist attack on our democracy, and on top Democrats and Trump critics or focused on the board of the top US border security official estimates. The size of the original caravan at thirty five hundred people President Trump tweeted yesterday, quote, many gang members, and some very bad people are mixed into the caravan heading to our southern border. Please go back you will not be admitted into the United States unless you go through the legal process. This is an invasion of our country and our military. This is such a lie. It's it's again, I I how stupid how stupid does he think voters are? It's worse than that you because he's not only talking about the military as we've already mentioned yesterday. We saw some people on Fox News.

"F. t. l. I'm meteorologist Lauren Alaska. CBS twelve news mostly sunny skies to get us started on this Tuesday of. Course all racing couple of showers moving across the area. We could still see showers and thunderstorms developing during the afternoon especially for our inland locations. Temperatures today will be near ninety degrees we will be much drier for your Wednesday and the rest of the week Powered by the unstoppable force of. The United States army very special with this new authorization we will increase the size and strength of our, military by adding thousands, of new recruits to active duty reserve and national guard. Units including, four thousand new active duty soldiers and we will. Replace aging tanks aging planes and ships with the most advanced, and lethal technology ever developed. And hopefully we'll be so strong will. Never have to use it but if we ever did nobody has a chance Yeah well that's fine and dandy except that the Taliban, blindsided our forces with a surprise Afghan offensive and you cannot rest on your laurels have reason he needs to be building up the military in the manner that. Is is because the enemy is absolutely hell bent and they don't care how long it takes for, them to achieve their goal radical Islam has been a heading in this direction for a thousand years or more the Taliban is on the verge of expanding its control over. Southern and eastern Afghanistan right now in a surprise offensive that has caught us off guard and he throws, a big time wrench into, the strategy that this president had for, ending a seventeen year old war there the Afghan defense ministry said Monday a Taliban assault on the city. Of Ghanzi a key provincial capital linking other areas under the Islamic. Militant groups control just seventy five miles south east East of Kabul has killed, roughly one hundred Afghan security forces and some twenty civilians over the past three days These forces in Afghanistan by the way are backed by. Us by US forces and by NATO advisers and they're now saying Monday night to retain control of central guns local reports indicated Taliban. Fighters still had pockets of the city and had simultaneously swept in and taking over. Most of the surrounding provinces rural areas analysts said the development has underscored the Talibans capability for resurgence in Afghanistan Some will likely increase the group's political leverage over peace talks with the. US officials that the Trump administration has quietly been trying to get off the ground This is the kind of news. Let me just say this okay. My job is to do, an analysis of, the news okay I'm not a news reporter I don't pretend to be unbiased everybody's, quite certain that I am I have. A political perspective a political, viewpoint and I do everything. I can to illustrate to people have, my. Viewpoint is right but, you don't have, to believe, that I don't report the news but nobody's reports. The news I'm looking at CNN it's all about Marissa I'm looking at, FOX it's all about you know the endorsements. In the upcoming elections I'm looking at I looked earlier, this morning editor ABC and NBC CBS local news. Report not a word about what's happening in Afghanistan we have troops on the ground all over the world and nobody thinks it's a good story to cover To. Me not about not a word I have seen not, a word on any so-called news station about this Does it make. You angry it makes me angry what am I supposed to go to get my news well I go online I look at new sources from all around the world so that I have some clue as to what's really. Happening because otherwise you would, think the only thing happening is some, disgruntled ex employees like Peter. Struck and Omarosa they're controlling the news cycle how great your says that Russian collusion I mean those are stories nobody's. Going to deny those stories, but there's other things happening We we've got a smugglers coming in through southeastern and southwestern borders from all over, the world now and that was made quite, clear to me yesterday when I spoke with the debt then some from, the center for immigration studies you now, have guys. With Pakistani, and Mexican or. Pack Danny and Brazilian dual citizenship, smuggling people in from Yemen And and I, don't see any mention of that anywhere on, the cable news networks twenty four hours they have to deliver news but, the only news they care about is Russian collusion And which state, turns, red, green, yellow blue It's frustrating for. Someone like me because I'm doing the analysis. We don't need them to do the analysis, we need them to provide us. With information but they don't, wanna, do, that I just don't That new defense Bill that the. President signed yesterday I'll bet Out of out of hundreds of people listening to this program, right now I'll bet there aren't twenty of you who have a clue what's. In it And I'm not faulting, you because where would you find out if all you see is morose a- All you see who did Trump endorsed? In that race, and, and what was, Peter Struck doing and how much money do you, collect on go fund me look these are stories but there are other. Things happening in the world and I can't get a new source that will deliver the news anymore They all want to, do what I'm doing you know it's funny for for decades they told me I wasn't real news for decades they said oh you talk? Radio people you, don't, know what you're, talking about you don't know the real facts you just talked to you know you just say whatever you feel like saying They, were all, full of how they were giving the news Apparently. They envied me because now they're doing commentary there's no news I. Haven't seen a straight up news report maybe once a day I see a, straight up news report and and it's and it's still jaded Whether. It's FOX that. Leads sitter right or it's MSNBC that leans to the left I. Really don't care what all these people think I'd like to know what's happening Somebody. Give me some details how many militant groups are. Seventy five miles south of Kabul And admitted. You guys are honest if nothing else you had no idea No I did this was. Going on and it's not your fault It's it's it's the, fault of. The, fourth estate who now sits around pounding. Their chest said bleeding oh we have no freedom of speech. Visit, this president. Tried to take away the freedom of the press The press and stop trying to be radio talk. Show host stop trying to be you know hosts of of. The Jerry Springer show that's what, the news looks, like to me now I remember when it was Maury Povich and Jerry, Springer and they would they would be the. Ones covering all. Moreau and, stormy Daniels now it's guys like Chris Cuomo but you know it's people who, pretend that. They'll, legitimate news sources and they're obsessed look. At least my son admits what he is it's gossip channel TMZ tells you where Justin. Bieber's you know Tearstained underwear is that that's what they do but for these other networks that pretend they're giving. You the news and you don't know anything. I don't know anything by listening to them I can't. Tell you however that Omarosa has has tapes I can tell you that stormy Daniels lawyer. Michael avenue, Eddie is, considering a run for the presidency I mean you know. Like. That's news like anybody cares, like that's gonna change anything They're obsessed with destroying This president and it's just it's vile gotten to the point where they won't even cover real news because it's just not. Salacious enough for them they get, all their, pennies getting you know not if they have. To. Cover, straight new sorry oh we don't really want to go out there to the Ford and actually talk about the, national defense authorization Bill how boring we'd much rather talk about. Moroshima could help embarrassing it must be To tell your family you know come home, and tell your kids yes that is a news anchor yeah. Mommy's news anchor Would you talk about on? The, news today mommy I was talking about? The A stripper who who claims that the. President had sex with her Golly Frustrating for my. Perspective, look I do what I. Do But I. Never, pretended to do anything other And I'll tell you something right now Forty percent of. My program is straight up news now 'cause somebody's got to tell you the news and so I'm forced to do news, in the middle of a talk show Because otherwise you know my opinion of Chelsea. Clinton Omarosa it all took twenty five minutes as done with all the personalities now I wanna talk about the real stuff Unfortunately I'm talking to an audience who knows more about stormy Daniels and Omarosa than. They know about the Taliban or radical Islam Pretty scary be careful they got you're looking..

"As i note a couple of stories that that have interesting ramifications here one is in south dakota these are our state legislative stories in south dakota state representative tim goodwin republican wants to lower the drinking age for members of the military to eighteen in south dakota he says that the the bill says bars retailers could serve eighteen year old active duty reserve and national guard service members who show valid military id cards goodwin says that if someone is willing to fight a die for their country they should be treated as an adult which strikes me as imminently sensible and then i note in jackson mississippi where a state house committee doesn't want to require mississippians to be twenty one to buy tobacco products they mississippi house waves and means committee on a split voice vote has rejected a measure which would have increased the age to buy cigarettes and other products from the current age of eighteen states with ages above eighteen include alabama alaska and utah where it is nineteen to buy tobacco products california hawaii new jersey and oregon habit a twentyone tobacco control advocates also want mississippi's tobacco tax now sixty eight cents per pack in mississippi race to a dollar fifty a pack they say that a higher smoking age and higher taxes would deter use cutting future health costs and death well the tax part we can't talk about if you wish but to me the key part of these two stories is that ocean of age we've always had age as the principal basis by which we determine whether or not someone is mature enough to do something and i think for example we all recognize the fact that for example i grew up sixteen was the the age to get your driver's license in the state of missouri i got my license the.
