"Been the best of who we are s for freedom. It's not the property of just a fortunate. Few it belongs to us. All whoever you are sorry you got to cut it off. Cancelled sold bruce springsteen cancelled curve. Did we hear he just got. We just found out a driving drunk. Yeah you gotta dui or whatever you wanna call it in november and so jeep is saying there or threatening to threaten to end the relationship with them. Well that explains why. He's driving in a drop top in the middle of wintertime. He's hammered looking hung over. He doesn't look he looked terrible. Of course he's dunk seventy something that they reached into the glove compartment and the Vodka was empty. So he's a little shaky. How did that escaped the news till now is he that big a new jersey. That the coppers cover up for him. Because i don't recall hearing or because he's a lefty. The media left it alone. I don't know you'd think that gossip would be hot enough to get out. He's pretty old to be driving drunk and rich and crazy ass understood how rich people get drunk driving things. It's just amazing to me. I have a buddy you can helicopter anywhere. If bruce springsteen literal have to drive her in kobe suggests that's not a great idea but anyway Interesting how much the ntsb report. How much is being made of that on the media. Everybody talking about the kobe crash on video in the scorched landscape and all i think it's his death porn. The ntsb ruled that the pilots shouldn't have steered into a mountain pilot error and bad weather. We knew that terrible tragedy anyway. So morgan wallin that country star. They booted him off of Saturday night live for partying without a mask. At one point he and his buddies were laughing carrying on Getting home in the wee hours of the morning. They are making enough noise. That a neighbor pulled out a phone documented the commotion and the hammered wallin at one point referred to another friend who was even drunker as take care of this blank n word okay referred to his friend as that utterly idiotic you just. He's young drunk. I said some stupid stuff. When i was young i get you know i get why that's really bad. Pr and he shouldn't casually through the word around although young people do and they don't mean anything by it but right it means nothing it right. Exactly his record labels suspended him. The academy country music revoked. His eligibility. The cumulus media iheartmedia sirius. Xm pulled all of his songs from their stations effectively. Removing him from the radio altogether. This is wyle. He has the number one album in the country. He's not a minor thing. Meanwhile nick cannon and viacom. Cbs have reunited and resumed production of vh series wild and out after a brief suspension of their relationship. Cannon was making weird claims of that black people can't be anti-semitic because they're the true semitic people in the true hebrews and evidently th th this is craziness and just inaccurate. But they suspended him for a while over that. Okay no problem. They didn't suspend him at all for what follows and again he's back on the air white people Let's see The hell did they characterize it than they actually do it all right. He's talking about how white people are inferior. The people that don't have melanin are. I'm going to say this carefully. A little less. Why people when they didn't when they didn't have the power of the sun it started to deteriorate them so then they're acting out of fear they're acting out a low self esteem they're acting out of deficiency so therefore the only way that they can act as evil about white people white people have to rob steal rape and kill in order to survive so then these people that didn't have what we have and when i say we i speak of the aided people dark skinned people. They had to be savages. They're acting as animals so they're the ones that are actually closer to animals. They're the ones that are actually. The true savages. See if you're if you're not able to Keep track of this or follow this at home. That's actual racism. Yes that's textbook. That's what racism is. Yes that is that is if you believe. One race is superior or inferior to another car. That's stated it in detail. This is by far and away the most racist thing any celebrity status said many years. He never apologized for it and now has his job back. Let's stack these situations against each other. I am quoting because it's really good writing here. Mel that matt walsh wallin used the racial slur in a non-racial context was drunk and joking and never meant for it to be recorded cannon on the other hand expressed his true feelings about white people in thorough detail and did so publicly and proudly his opinion as he says himself is that white people are deficient savages and inferior to himself who has committed the greater sin here who suffered the worst consequence etc anyway. Who has the privilege here. Matt asks the man who said a bad thing apologized and lost his career. Anyway or man who said a worst thing didn't apologize and quickly got his career back. You cannot say. The first man has the privilege without removing all meaning. From the word there is a pretty funny exchange on go ahead. It's amazing to me that racism is making such a comeback like actual racism. Oh yeah actual one racist better than another. Wow yeah by the way. it's worth pointing out that. If nick cannon were a conservative he'd be through because the media would turn on they'd find a way to ruin him There's a funny exchange on greg. Gut felt show over the weekend where the one black cast members said man. I got black privilege. You people got no privilege. I can show up. I can wear anything want. Nobody's gonna say anything to me because they're afraid it was actually pretty funny laureus and getty for all. Your food is out there. I'm unwrapping a mcdonald's steak egg and cheese bagel who look at this steak and juice running dumbest sign. Go a little bit on rapper. Here and then. She had a full. She was out in the audience on the satellite stage, but she was overruns. She was over on our stage over on one performance area. and. When you have a song like this, it could have been any number of things. One of the most famous race racist murders in American history was the till Kelly. You'll hear peel still. It's four eleven at eleven thirty W. It's time for rapid traffic, so was before your time, but not much not well. I mean I was born. The let's say now. Month was released practically. Away I said it was right in the era where I as a kid at every kid I always listen to top forty radio everybody just everybody did because all this stuff was just amazingly happening in with all the stuff that I mean every other song would make impact them. The the animals that come up do something. Nothing sounded like the animals, and here's the Beatles the Beatles sound change so much just from year to year going from the light British pop. Pop to the incredibly elaborate stuff that they were, and that was only six or seven year period, and then this thing just came out, and even in the midst of people buzzing about any Jimi Hendrix stuff is coming on in that era so much happening even with this, this slide really touched everybody and it wasn't just young people because of the nature of the Cy Plitt every kind of radio station. There was an everybody just had a thought an opinion. About it played into people's stereotypes about the south, but it also seemed true. To the southern nature to get, it could have been anything I mean billy. Joel could have been one of the guys that killed till. Maybe they just had a baby. Maybe he was gay and couldn't hand. Theories that people put, but that's the brilliance of writing. It could have been a lot of stuff. Could it have yeah I? Mean it's and the theories I. Think are superfluous to just how great the song! That's the point you know. The what they threw off the Tallahassee Bridge. It's like in the mystery movies. It's a macguffin. It doesn't matter what it is adult Ed. That's that's what makes it so great and three, so we keep talking about. It is because we don't know but the story the song itself and those lives I mean. I I mentioned that she's from California. Actually look this up. She Actors Board and Mississippi. Yeah, we'll have to palm springs really early on at the age of thirteen, and then went to Ucla so she's got youthful roots in the south, but basically she was part of a family to get our mother. I guess the father died. Tuesday divorced in there and she kicked her out. She just a smart kid who went off to UCLA. Did this a few other things and She's really. She's apparently alive, but she just hasn't done interviews. WHO's a complete recluse Sergei her last? Doesn't do it and she's. She's lived somewhere probably under some other name, they think they think she's either living in the gated community. These are the two of the theories I've heard is she lives in a gated community in Memphis or a gated community in Los, Angeles? I mean. How could you know the way the Internet? I? mean. We got contact tracing. We're tree just. Bill Microsoft probably knows they probably have a bug. Second or computer somewhere where we can figure it out, you know the last time anybody saw was at the academy country. Music Awards in one thousand, nine, hundred two. She what the Academy Country Music was the last. One thousand, nine hundred. That's last time anybody saw her, and she has not done music in years, even before that and She released an album or or in the late seventies, and then she was on the tonight show in seventy, eight, or so, and that was all more than forty years. Yeah, so I mean she has not been. Just. She just decided to drop out creating another addict, but so she rises so that's matic that her life becomes. At an egg less there a penpal who even claimed to have written the song taking a low of. People, who claim they met her and she they enter because she's a recluse. I talked to Bobbie Gentry and she told me it was because well. How can you ever disprove that given the fact that she won't come out and say this person's full of crap. It has make it up right. But, yeah, because because she only wrote. You know a few albums worth of songs. people think that she couldn't have written the song because she didn't have the chops to do so, but obviously that doesn't make any sense. Because everything she wrote is of a style that is consistent. And nobody understood I mean it. She got a record contract, but it wasn't even thought by the people who heard it to be. A hit was on the B side as I said he just was, but there's a lot of. They argued about it. Yeah, they argued about one. Side of the B. Came out in that era in which. The original nobody really believed it and her original version. The Demo they got was seven minutes long. There was way more to the song then wound up. Here that maybe maybe that last paragraphs. She's probably sitting. There wasn't added the song. I'm quite. So somewhere.

"Most EST Keith. And this is my host s with the most staff. I say mustache my I mean. No that was to accuse you of having a mustache. Shrimp or the de. I know and we don't know how we're feeling you guys. We're being honest week. Is freaking weird Yeah so a bunch of weird stuff happening. Yeah but he's kind of freaking out Panic buying that's like what is making matters worse because it's like now. No one has supplies. I went to target actually right before coming here or did you really have that. It wasn't too bad actually I overheard I did eavesdrop on a conversation between two workers talking to a customer and they said that everyone's been really calm Let's good at at least at their location. They said that they do have like limits and stuff on what to buy but I went there to buy equipment to do homework. Coutts and everything sold out so. I'm okay not only is food and cleaning. Supplies gone but now the dumbbells and a workout equipment on my. That's even worse for me. But no that's good because that means that everybody is prioritizing their health and know still continuing on with their physical activity at home so in a way. It's like I'm kind of happy that all gym equipment is gone from target. But it's like I needed by dumbbells Be as definitely been a weird time. I mean people are not working. People aren't going to school chilling at home half of the time in the world right now just now. They don't even know what to do with a sure. Yeah yeah so I know for me I just like I feel like my days are so long. I'm like Oh my God like I can So like I said this and the other podcast but I'm trying to stick to some type of routine still just so I have order in my life But Yeah how how you've been holding up. I know we're all. We're all in the struggle busts here. I've been all right. I have not planned in advance for any of this. I'm not a big grocery shopper. I usually like eat my meals out with other people. I hang out with my friends a lot. So like this is definitely been pretty trying for me Like if we go to shelter in place I will be Definitely up a creek without a paddle. So so are you still allowed to go out and eat restaurants here. I don't know I haven't really tried. I didn't go out all today so I hear what I detail like to go orders. Ah I'm sure I'll do lots of that. I'll probably just eat it in my car outside. The restaurant we like is will. Stop me if you dare. I have not dare to go into Costco though because I've heard that place as a absolute nightmare. Right now But my mom did say that the Costco by our house isn't too bad. It could be also because we live in a small town so compared to a larger city. I'm sure if you live in a larger city and you have a costco nearby. I'm it's absolute mayhem for you. But for me living in a small town not too bad where stall out of certain products but not to any level that other stores are facing currently. And we're going to open up or start. Today's episode with. How exactly is the virus? Corona virus impacting Hollywood and the world of entertainment So as we know we've heard of all these like festival shutting down the very first one was coachella being postponed all the way till October which we talked about in the previous podcast and then now other award shows or you know other music events that are being affected by the virus the fifty Fifth Academy Country Music Awards was also postponed. It was supposed to happen in April fifth. And it's now being pushed back to September. Wow but it's country so no don't come at me country fan award show. I know it's funny there. There's a country artist named Sturgeon Simpson. That I really enjoy who like always get snubbed. For being invited to these awards and It just is always. It's just funny to me that he even wants to go because it's just such a useless song and dance and he's like an existential EST songwriter. So it's just really interesting to me as was was the other country ish artists. We talked about last week's honey. Honey Harper honey harper ever get invited to the country music award. I would doubt it that he did. He shied because his music is probably the only air quote country music. I would enjoy. I read like that pick from last week. If you guys have you. Guys don't know. Honey Harper is listen to our previous episode. Kate talks about him and me. I'm not into country at all and I really enjoyed his album. So go check it out. And let's see what else has corona virus must step in life so it's everything right in the music so in the music world the iheartradio music awards originally set for March twenty ninth has also been postponed and now in terms of concerts and tours. So there's this like Latino duo and Alejandro Sanz. They've been around for many many years They were supposed to tour together. Just like Ricky Martin and indicate less. Yes we're supposed to tour together. But instead since his whole pandemic started They have canceled their tour and decided to perform Or livestream their concert so they joined forces and brought their concert inside fans homes and they streamed their performance on Youtube on March fifteenth at four thirty PM. And I missed it. Of course right but I know I was three days ago three days ago. I know I found out like yesterday. I'm like oh. They live stream but anyway a lot of bands have been live streaming shows a lot. Yeah I mean it makes sense because concerts thousands of people gather and the shoulder to shoulder. So I mean it's breathing on each other coughing. Yeah I know that dropkick Murphys. They did one last night since like. No one could celebrate Saint Patrick's Day out. I did like a live stream of concert or something like that. They just kind of impromptu did by also John Legend so Chrissy Teigen. She did like an and she's sitting there on a piano in a bath towel. Okay full face of makeup in a battle and John. Legend is just like sitting there like singing. He seemed so amazing. He's got a great voice. Can you imagine being married to someone who can sing that? Beautifully like men or women and just like I would be interesting for sure. It was funny because in that video or like in the TV. I saw clip of it. Chrissy teigen looks so annoyed. Like she's over this man singing. He probably does it all the time in their house. So he's there on the piano being romantic singing looking at her in the eyes and she looks at him and doesn't even like Caracas. Smile like I duNNo. She's that's I think that's also her personality. She's very I don't. I know I don't know how to explain. Chrissy Teagan by I'm not super familiar. Whether she she does a lot of like I duNNo. I see I'd call her more of a Social Reality Star. I I don't really. She doesn't make music. She hangs out with the Kardashians. She's married to John Legend. That's not to say that you know I'm not. I'm not throwing shade at Chrissy. Teigen like I follow her on twitter but I'm not really sure what she does. And she's like involved in some cooking But anyway so a whole point is you know. T- concerts are being canceled tours of being cancelled and everything is now being moved online. So all of these musicians and artists are moving to the digital platform live streaming their shows and concerts. So it's a pretty interesting time. We're living in right now and also. The Jonas Brothers also cancelled their Las Vegas residency for the month of April so they will not be performing anymore shows. I think it's MGM even know that they had a Las Vegas nei-neither residency. But I guess I don't know I like J. Lo does a lot of artists who by had no indigenous brothers had residency there and then last but not least. There's like the last thing I mentioned about the virus how it affects. It's affecting the music industry Live nation entertainment and AIG present. So the have you've purchased tickets through site you've most likely purchased through them So these companies have suspended all tours. Which include Billy eyelash Celine Dion Jason? Aldean Sher- Kiss Post Malone Blake. Shelton Green Day Madonna and many others so as we can on see. This is really just messing up. Everybody's live it is messing up. Everybody's bag right now. Get what I'm saying so Crazy times we're living in right now so we're not the only ones being affected by the virus. Even rich people in are getting hit hard. The virus does not discriminate. Hr poor last week like right before we started recording the podcast. We found other like Tom. Hanks has it and other actresses and actors have come out saying they have it as well. Like is definitely scary. Like it's it's it's not just an isolated thing like it's affecting everybody all over the world no matter where you're at. It's just like a little scarier too because it this is so new so there's not a lot of science or evidence to back up what we're seeing And just to put it out there you know shuttle to all our healthcare workers and everybody in the medical field. Because I know they're like tirelessly working day in and day out right now during this crazy time so quick shot out to them and just stay safe. Everybody Wash your hands and yeah and just keep calm you know. Yeah Yeah. Don't don't panic. Don't feed into the panic just kind of like you know. Get through the night. Yeah by which you need just time exactly. Take take the necessary precautions. But with how going overboard and I think that's going to We're GONNA take a quick break before we get into our music picks for this week always on the go but the day. Just be one without your Hollywood slit. Golden state media concepts that are ten. Podcast take care of that and all inclusive look pop culture..

"Guys and a welcome back. Tsmc entertainment podcast. Let's get straight into it so the next set of information here. I WanNa show what the guys again. I'm sure this is not you know news to you guys This was definitely in my opinion. Probably the most pivotal point in terms of the public taking corona virus. Seriously and that's myself included. I knew like it was serious by. I guess because I was thinking. Oh it's happening on the other side of the world it's not going to affect me too much but This situation for sure like spooked many of us and kind of set in like. Oh shoe like this is real stuff and anybody can be affected. So if you haven't guessed already I'm talking about Rudy. Gobert the twenty-seven-year-old NBA star from the Utah Jazz. He also tested positive for Colonel Virus. And this was just two days after. He carelessly touched multiple microphones during a press conference mocking the Sir Variety of Colonel Virus. If you guys don't know what I'm talking about there's video circling around. You can look up. He after a press conference he literally just touches with his bare hands. All these microphones again making fun of like Kurna Virus. Isn't that serious whatever? Whatever I think that is also just a careless act because he is young and we have been told by the media that corona virus or people who are sixty five or older or have a pre existing medical condition. are more at risk so. I feel like that's why many millennials myself included. We're not taking the virus seriously because we just assuming oh well it's not going to affect us like we're not going to get sick but here is a twenty seven year old professional basketball player who got tested positive. He was the verse. Professional athletes test positive for the virus and as a result the NBA cancelled the rest of the season and that started trickling domino effect. You know we have baseball season cancelled. We have all sports cancelled and again I think it was this pivotal moment right. There Rudy Gobert testing positive again. He's young he's an athlete. You know So that really set in and was like everyone was like. Oh my God like Rudy Gobert. You know he's my age and he tested positive. I think when we're able to relate to somebody and he's more in our age bracket or like I'm twenty four. You feel me so like he's more my age bracket in the fact that like this is the first time I heard of somebody near my age. Getting tested positive for a virus. I was like Oh my God like I could get a two and not even for me guys even my job at the gym. We've already been clean but even our owner like upped our cleaning policies tremendously and was like we need to step it up after the Rudy. Gobert situation. Because it's just wild. It was a trending topic on twitter. And it's just really crazy. He did receive. I mean he was widely criticized for his careless. Act of touching multiple microphones. And he's now definitely paying for it. I mean he wasn't considering other people he was going to harm he. Even some of his teammates said he was even careless in the locker rooms. Not being very clean touching everybody's stuff so this is now a result of you know his careless actions. He did issue a public apology. saying that he ha- he wish she would have taken. You know this thing more seriously. And because of this he is donating or he has donated more than five hundred thousand dollars to assist people affected by the virus and related closures. Not only that. He's also giving two hundred grand two part time. Employees of the Vivid Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City where the Utah Jazz play. Whose jobs were affected by the MBA's decision to suspend the season. "Bar. So you mentioned that you had stage fright. At what point did that? I mean, we're used so freaked out about going on stage at the grand ole Opry as your first, like major appearance. Yeah, I mean I had worked through a lot of my stage fright by that point. How do you do that? How do you. I'm so. So when you when you have to pay your mortgage, you just like fuck it, I'm gonna do like I got a I got a sing, you know, like s two, I was singing demos and had sung in a gospel band for a while, and really cut my teeth on just like getting out there, and I did go through about of stage fright. That was pretty pretty like crippling, and then I don't know with enough of the right people in your life and learning to change that channel in your mind, you know of you can snowball yourself into fear and not be more action, or you can go the other direction. And you had people who were like giving, you wasn't weren't scared that you didn't like sound good. You just were scared of the. Yeah. You just get you get in your head. And so I think once I'd had those tools to learn, you know, just get out there and share your gift. Yeah. It's not that your gift is better than anyone else's gift. But you have a unique. Yeah. Voice to share a unique story, and ever since then I don't know. I don't I don't battle with it as much. Do you live TV I do? Of course, you'd be crazy to not well, but Dan on the Grammy stage and not well shit, these scary, and we will look look at it Paul McCartney and Taylor swift, and all these people in going, what am I doing? So sweet. So humble, it's so funny because I will will now do love it being stage. I mean I crave it. I mean it's an addiction. We'll see. I get that. Because over the last ten years and obviously very different worlds. But, you know, building drive our and I've been the face of the brand, and do all the press, I've done tons of live TV in interviews, and not on a Grammy stage, of course, but just tons of stuff and I love it. And you turn a camera on me and I just come alive, or you're fine with it like you're on the today show, and you're not sweating it. I don't get. I, I think in the beginning, I got nervous, and I think it was more of, like flexing, that muscle and I did some media training and I got comfortable with it. And now it's like you journey. Can't I mean I can be in the worst mood. I can be like down. But you put a camera on me, and I'm like, okay. Here we go. That says a lot about you building the business because you're the brand. Yeah. And that joy. And that power, and that and I hear that a Larry pashas control. Ages. Yeah. And that's you know, I think it's like being whatever you're doing. Whether you're seeing, or you're an entrepreneur and businesses like for me, it's like someone someone who sits in interviews, me about dry bar is like the thing they always say to me is like your passion is infectious, and, and you have to have that I'm sure as, as a singer, you have to bring that kind of passion and excitement to the stage. You, you have to lead people, you're leading your whole team. We're leading people in a concert, we're connecting with them if we're doing our jobs. We're going out there get them, you know. And I'm sure you, you must be able to feel that energy when you're stage it's, it's trick. The best thing is the best marine, like, especially when you've written something, or you've had the pleasure of singing like girl crush, and you see just people resonate. Will just like oh, that's my song, that's not you. Fucking good. Saw, isn't it good? It's so very McKenna, and Liz rose and Hillary Lindsey who are. They are force. And they've written so many songs that you probably know and love. Sharon girl, crush was just an absolute gift to us. I bet I mean I, I can probably think that whole song. I know every word of that song because I just if so resonates with you in that feeling of like being so jealous of your Xs like new love. And, and, and we were talking earlier. Or I know that there is some controversy about that song, which I was like, whoa, why such beautiful pure song? And they're like you were. You got pushback from radio Anderson, right? Yeah. We did a little bit of I think wasn't so much radio as people calling into that, saying, hey, I don't want my kids hearing. I wanna taste her lips on the way to school. It's funny because I literally sing I sang that song. We changed a couple of words as like just playing around with the song advice sons. But like they know how much I love country music, and we've saying it, and they, they that never even occurred. To me. Well, yeah, and I, my, my response was a why can't you explain it to your children is at the great opportunity, and you talk about that? I mean yeah. It's not it's not a big deal. Even if it was that was always my point is, like, come on. Yeah. What you're we living in yet and easy. Love is love and aren't we? Okay with talking about it in any form. Right. No matter what your story is in girl crush. I mean you, however you interpret it. Yeah. Yeah. It's such a beautiful. So I did you sing that for like the first time somewhere, did I did. I did I discovered it. Like, did you sing it on an award show or something, I did, maybe the first appearance was on the academy country music awards, and there is the gigantic glitter behind. That's where I heard it. And I was like, oh my God this song, and then I downloaded it and I listened to it eight million times after we have. So we've found that like through TV you know, because radio is so powerful and we have had an incredible career. Radio but. It's changed. And I wouldn't say that we always get the shot at radio that, that people get probably because females in the band. And right now there's just not a lot of women on country radio. Which I really, really hope that we're on the cusp of a change of that. But so interesting I feel like because for me, I love country music, but I I really go towards female artists like I love Randall Lampert. I love Taylor, swift and few again, if anybody knows me and it was like guy was serious. Lou two incredible women. Yeah. Carrie underwood. I'm I'm much more draw. I like I love like Johnny cash like I love that. But I love. I'm always I mean, maybe it's because women are singing the songs that resonate with me and that's been the argument. So it's been the they say that women don't wanna hear women. And I, I must grave. Because I those are the records that like listening back to Tricia, earwood, and Martina McBride and REBA and Dahlie. And Loretta then what, what would we do without those women, and we cannot let it go away. Yeah. Like right now, a study came out last week that said, you'll hear forty four men before you hear one woman on country radio. I had no idea. It's a big. It's real interesting how the that is such a thing in across all John RAs, like of the world right now is like this like fight for women empowerment. And how in, in business, you know, it's like more and more women are becoming CEO's of company and they're demanding higher salaries. And, you know, I think it's been really interesting to me because I've, I've just always been, like every, like everything just kind of works out, and, you know, and into I for me the impact, I've had being at the forefront of such a successful company and being a woman, and, you know, and inspire. Airing other women and, you know, I talked about it all the time that I get so much great feedback from girls who are trying, I and I'll do these interviews all day long with girls who are in high school, who were like writing a paper about being a female entrepreneur in that, like, they look at me, and they're like, and I don't even have a college degree like if they're like if she did it, I can do it kind of thing. And how important that is for young girls to feel like they can own their own company. They can do you know whatever and I, I didn't even really think of I didn't realize that statistic and realize that women in, in country music, or just a music in general, like have that fight, and it wasn't as bad in the nineties, and, but it's interesting progressively getting worse. And do you think it's I it's mooring just in country or just in general? Well, I think it has to do with research and the way the way songs and you know, we're researched. And, and once you've heard forty four men before you hear one woman than if you're doing research on what? Familiar and comfortable for listener. You're what are you gonna lean to her, 'cause you're gonna lean to rest? You're just used to hearing under saying you're used to hearing a male voice. And yeah, I, I can't say that. I know any, any man in this business that likes that that's happening. I mean all all the men that I know in this business are incredibly supportive of women and don't wanna see it happen. But it's it's happening. And so we have to talk about it or we're going to get to a place where these young the next Loretta Lynn, they just don't Dali. They don't happen because they're not afforded the opportunity. So what do you think of, and you don't have to answer this? But, like what do you think of like someone like Taylor swift who started out in country, and then has gone over to pop and kind of vacillates like is that good for the industry, and does it, you know, it's so interesting. Interesting to me, how there's such labels put on artists, where I feel like I don't know I just like she's creative, and that's what she is. I. Yeah. And she's a storyteller, which is the greatest thing about country music. And I told my son who loves rap music, I'm like country rap or very close. It is storytelling. And that's what's so great about country music to me. And that's what she, you know, she came up as a songwriter in this town. She started the Bluebird cafe, and that's where she was discovered. And the Bluebird is literally like you sit around and just sing your songs want to go to the Bluebird. Oh, you I, I've been I've been I've you have, but I have never been there for like a night. When we gotta arrange that next time you guys are in town. We'll do that. But Taylor is I think it's first of all, I think it's not my business. She's a creative, and she's expressing herself. And why I mean she's done nothing but she gave us better man. I don't know. I didn't know that. Nobody love talk. If you're listening download betterman because. It's good. Good really good. It is. So that was Taylor. You wrote it, we've been friends with Taylor's since since baby Taylor. Yeah. She used to be boffin are dressing room and feel like what, what do y'all do in video games at the boys. And I mean, always she wrote her high school paper about us. No way. And so we just always just had such a great bond and love for her. So when I say it's none of my business, I she's a creative, and so she's got to create, and she's got to explore and she was an incredible gift country music. And she's still an incredible gift country music. And right. She also just wrote a song for with Sugarland that they just put out called, babe. So she listened to that. Yeah. It's great. And she's so she's still kinda keeps to her country. She's what she's a writer, and I've loved her. Pop records. Yeah. So happy for her. And I'm always, I'm always watching like down to the last second when she's about to post something because..

"With. What is the biggest story of the day unless you count Casey muss graves not standing up for REBA mcentire's performance last night at the academy country music awards. The department of homeland security secretary Kirsten Nielsen is out. Yeah. And a lot of people are tying into her performance. I don't know. That's the real reason. I'm kind of playing a little soap opera theory here. Charlie. Okay. She was brought in by John Kelly. You know, he he was the guy who grease the wheels to get her in and ever since John Kelly left is chief of staff, I kind of feel like they're purging anybody who was Kellyanne right and trying to clear the decks for Mick Mulvaney to have his chief of staff powers over some of those cabinet secretary. So who knows you know, we may never know. But this one's going to be fun. Because the guy he appointed really can't take the job until the under secretary steps down. How do you? How do you know whether she's doing her job or not? I mean, she responsible for that influx of immigrants. I mean what she did down there leading the prayed. No, she's not. She's not. But you know. Trump tends to look at this. Like a CEO of a division of the company is in performing you must need a new head of that division. And that's kind of like the way he he's been a CEO president. So that that's no shock to me. But you're right. You really can't blame her for Mexico. Owing millions of people do to climb up towards our border, or at least almost a million. Well, you you mentioned being a CEO type president. I not sure about these numbers. But I think we're roughly give or take a couple in the neighborhood of thirty two that have either resigned or been fired many more resignations than firings. Yeah. And some of those are pressured because they were told either resigned, or you're you're gonna be fired. And the the curious thing here, I think we're up to five or six members of the cabinet who will be acting. They're not officially in there yet, and that's a big chunk. That's almost a third of the cabinet who would be acting member. So not only does the president have some turnover that he's dealing with. He also needs to get some approvals push through or his entire cabinet is going to look like a temp higher. So there's a little problem at the White House. He's probably going to have to focus on pretty soon. Just little over three. Months away, July. Twentieth. We'll be the fiftieth anniversary of the moon landing. We've got eight surviving. Apollo astronauts recently posing for an anniversary picture and stealing the show one Mr. Buzz Aldrin, and why not you know, I love me some astronauts, and Buzz Aldrin, being the the surviving member of Apollo eleven has taken the lead on the fiftieth anniversary, and he is dressed. He looks like he's about to join some kind of a band. Tuxedos and Charles Duke, one of the guys in the back looks like he's maitre day, but buzzes got silver jacket and funky socks. And he's wearing his medal. So I I appreciate his spirit. He's one of the more interesting characters in our history. And when you're the second guy to walk on the moon. Why wouldn't you be proud of it? So Lutely from our my name is Earl department. Can you say karma a rhinoceros poacher? Trampled by elephants and today is lion excrement. I hadn't even thought. But yeah, this story just made me smile to if you're going to poach rhinos. Eventually mother nature's going to catch up with the on. This guy. Got nailed in Kruger National Park, a gruesome end stopped by the elephants, and then a pride alliance when launch thanks a lot. So people karma will catch you. Eventually.

"And you say we'll them we're in Memphis, Tennessee. Why why why do we even talk about Brexit? Well, a couple of years ago majority of the people in the United Kingdom voted to leave the European Union and reestablish and reaffirm the its own sovereignty in the UK, and they're still they still have done that. And there's some more dramatic twists and turns in that's assignment. No, one will join us to tell us about how the will of the people over the last two years has been ignored basically by parliament and the prime minister and as anything being done about it. And we'll also have Michael law coming up at six forty five. He's a political analyst to borgata taxes at seven fifteen with Lydia, this noise, and we'll have her and we'll also have worn Honeycutt to coming up at seven thirty five but this weekend, it was it was a night for country music to shine. Joining us on the program. She and I both. In fact, we may be the most qualified combo to talk country music this morning. Well, second most I guess the most at least one of those is serving some significant jail time but Tanya, Jake powers joins us. She served no jail time. She joins us on the program. Good morning. That blow your mind. It did actually it was it was a blast. And for those of you who don't know Tim nice to have we had a long storied career in country music point. So yes, those those remotes out shooters. That's right. That's right and rally. All right. The academy country music had its night to shine with the award ceremony. Looked like everybody's having quite a bit of fun. What went down at the award ceremony Tanya? Well, you know, it was it was interesting because I'm sort of kind of playing catch up on a seems because you know, wrestlemainia was on. Well, you know, I was more focused on Saturday when the honky tonk man got inducted into the wrestling hall of fame. But I know a lot of people wanted to watch the matches yesterday too. By the way, the and the rock of the upper hall that was last week. The wrestling hall of fame stuff was quite interesting because you know, mouth of the south Jimmy Hart. And he's of course, you know, got got so many times to Memphis, and when you look at the honky tonk man's outfit. And he came out in the jumpsuit, by the way, of course, it had, you know, the the Memphis part on it, which was was extremely cool. And you know, he's Jerry lawler's cousin in real in reality. He is we you know, in in Lawler was on he was as a special guest announcer last night on wrestlemainia. So as as as he should be because you know, Hello, it's Lawler. And then Bret Hart got attacked at the ceremony by some fan. That rushed the stage as you. Did you see that he's in his sixties? Here's a guy that has survived cancer and a stroke and some guy jumped in the ring and started pounding on him. Yeah. It was it was kind of crazy. And I don't know how this dude got past, you know, rows and rows and rows of wrestlers. He's just probably lucky Braun strowman didn't get get his hands on him. That's. A couple of other folks who did get their hands on him. Absolutely. Well, we said we'd talk about the alphabet. But instead of ACM we're talking Debbie, Debbie this point now. Now, it's been a while we can though eight with. Yeah. It was a it was a huge weekend in mentioning back to the ACS. It was not, you know, I think one of the big questions when you look at these awards ceremonies, and no matter what they are film or music, or whatever is there gonna be any like political stuff said, you know. That's usually the big question. A lot of people have I didn't seem to be you know, which is kinda in keeping with the last couple of years. There hasn't been any ACM's. Anyway, it hasn't gotten super political or anything, I think REBA Zinger when she was talking about how it got so cold in Las Vegas, it snowed. And then she said, yeah, it was so cold at frozen all the women from the entertainer of the year category. Which it did? I think they're only two women who accepted ACM's last night on stage. One of those was Casey moss graves. Yeah. Fantastic with you know, her album golden hour, but the entertainer of the decade, Jason eldeen was pretty emotional during his speech and Keith urban. Of course, won the entertainer of the year. I think it was really, Dan and shave night, honestly. But because they're song tequila has just been so huge. I remember interviewing them in twenty fourteen. And they were you know, they had not really come onto the scene. Very big at that point. It didn't kind of watching them over the last few years. It's just been it's just been kind of cool to see and for those that don't know this. You can always go to our website and also through through FOX, News Radio who partners with this content in from time to time K Tanya has just some some awesome interviews with celebrities and a lot of country music star seemed to stop by and look for you. I don't know how that works. I don't know how that works in New York City they land like what we got to go. Find Tanya hang out with her for a few minutes. But that's actually how I interviewed Dan shea more than once the first time I had them on. Like, I said, they weren't you know, they weren't very big at all. And I said, hey, you need to come back and tell me how you're doing. And they did in the couple of times. So that's been kind of a kind of a cool thing when you, you know, tell him, hey, you know, come back and see us just like we just what we do in the south. And then they do. So, hey before before you go REBA mcentire, just I think drops a new. Album bride, she going to get airplay, even though she's one of the she's one of the elder states folk in country music is she gonna get some airplay. You think he should? I mean, of course, now, you know, it it's a different thing. Now, I mean in honestly, I don't know how much how much it weighs anymore because you've got all the streaming. And if you and you can be a giant hit on streaming, and I tunes and everything else without necessarily getting radio planning Casey must graves doesn't fit into their, you know, country music category. Either nicely. It doesn't she doesn't go inside the little parameters, but she's not doing too bad. She took home some Grammy's and an ACM and she's gotten him as a great album. So. Yeah. Well, baby shark can get play on streaming then by golly. Reba mcentire better. She's one of my all time favorite. She's just I tell you what she she has proved the God love this. When when when when he made her Tanya, thank you for joining us, and thank you for the ACM and the WW a update that was. Alone the phone with you, especially but anybody in Memphis. We deputy be that was fantastic. Not only did you update is. But you gave it back to the people. And I thank you so much as follow or tiny Dave Bowers town, you have a great rest, you have an awesome week. Six twenty two. Oh, gosh. That's fine. Oh tiny. "You my friend a it'll be it'll be very easy as you just have me four hundred thousand dollars in cash and and and i'll make sure that it's while taking care of you i know i'm sure looked at casual i'll ever seek cash coming back towards me ever again in my lifetime on that put like red something so unique to boxing i feel like in just two vents taking place in vegas like that that's uniquely possible aggressors part of the scene out there but you can walk right up to that the dea to fight a in boxing it's going to be cool and be in vegas you are in a place that can so directly facilitate that like you rely on the ground there in place they bet that was would say slightly less substantial fifty dollars and put i put a a whopping fifty dollars down i felt like i had to do something right like i felt like i had to go out there and a belowpar the action but like i said earlier i am notoriously frugal uh so difficult for me to to to put money down on really anything but i will say vegas was not nearly this zoo i expected it to be it was crowded yes and as you would expect in any fight atmosphere it was a very aggressive crowd but it wasn't having alert frankly a you'll appreciate this is as someone michael urging it enjoys country music the crowd was not that much bigger for this event as it typically as for the academy country music awards it wasn't it wasn't like a zoo where you couldn't get into places you you were able to get into clubs pretty easily other than saturday night itself which again you can still buy your way and i'm just to cheat for that so it wasn't the zoo that i thought it was going to be in vegas for the for the actual event so this is good then but you could you got exactly what you paid for out of your experience right like you went over there you were in the fifty dollar bet range you just wanted to be entertained by the fight and we saw a lot of that we saw a lot of the reaction was alright this point was entertaining enough to justify the hundred box i put down fifty dollars i bet on this because i.
