"Better at what they do. And I think that's a good answer. And then to reemphasize, it's not a sprint. It's a marathon. I think a lot of people, whatever reason, think that you can get into crypto and get crypto rich overnight. Whereas if you look at most stocks and people getting into a lot of these, you have a longer term horizon, but for some reason you get into crypto and you think I'm supposed to be a millionaire in two weeks. So having a longer term horizon, having a plan, et cetera, works. But then also looking at what is value. And I think a lot of people also come into crypto just buying something that they either heard on TV or whatever. Without understanding, what does it actually try to accomplish? Most cryptocurrencies are blockchain startups. What do we know about most startups? 90% of them fail. Back when I was looking in 2018 into the space, there was only about 4000 cryptos. There's over 20,000 now. 20,000 cryptos aren't going to make it. So you have to try to find the projects in the teams that are working on stuff that makes sense. So going back to I think that was a really timely quote that you shared so appreciate you sharing that. But I think those are two really good things to bring home. But to fully bring us home, what is a final thought that you want to leave with all the listeners today? Yeah, I think the final thought. Final thought. You throw me, sorry. I think just be rational, re reasonable. I like looking at the macro because it can inform what you're doing and how you're trying to improve. And 75, 80% of the market cap of crypto is held within 2025 kilometers. So the rest of them are really our bets on the future. And you never know what's going to succeed and what's not nice. So just be careful. Be mindful about what you're doing and don't bet the house on this stuff. Be careful. You read of people having experienced a lot of pain. Financial pain. And that's sad to read, right? And I think people forget that that behind crypto as an idea, there are people like you, like me, and others who fundamentally want this to succeed, but at the same time, that can get lost when you've got journalists saying, oh, you know, SPF is an awful person. And look how fraudulent he's been. And yeah, sure, he needs to answer four of those things. Sure. But there are others like yourself like myself who were not bad actors. Well, good people. And we don't control. We can't control every facet an element of it. So I think the takeaway I would try to give to other people is just be mindful of what you're doing. Really research what you're interested in and how you think this is going to work, because if you don't understand it, ask others to help you and to advise you because people ask me sometimes, which they say, what coins do you hold, rob? And I say, I never told anyone what I hold personally, because if I do, I'd be influencing you to then go and make decisions that have been influenced. I don't want to do that. I don't want you to say, wow, I made so much money on this, so I made nothing on this at all once your fault. That's why I don't talk about it. I don't want people to think, oh, okay, well, rob's given me a view. That must be must be a safe bet. You're like, no, I'm like you. I'm like, you know, you and I, I have things that I think will work, and I have things that I think no, maybe not. So I just think, just be be careful, but I think also be positive, be sanguine, think, well, you know, where we are today and where the global economy is today, is not where it will be in two years, 6 months, 12 months, 24 months, 36 months, the world is constantly changing, always evolving. And I've given you a very long winded answer and I must stop on and then when we were, oh my God, this is going to be gone. So I'll stop there and I'm really pleased and thank you for having me. Now you got it, Robert, really appreciate your time. Thanks for that great final thought. Be mindful, be good people, be positive. We're going to get through it, wag me. We're all going to make it. There are going to be some people that don't unfortunately, but we have to at least keep finding ways to learn these lessons so that we can thrive into the future. So Robert, for people who want to learn more about be true and everything that you have going on, what are ways that people can connect with you? Yeah, so there's the website. There's a really good website. We've got a really good Twitter following. So go to the official beetroot, beetroot official Twitter page, it's about 550,000 followers on there. So you'll know you've hit the right one when you get there. And then there's a really strong telegram community again, like 60,000 people talking all the time. "That's a tough one because I think that the three year old picture is a really big question right now. And it's actually really tough for me to kind of narrow in on one as far as the two year olds coming in for this next year and Gulf Stream we've had just one prep so far. And that was in the holy bowl and there was the change in the way that the pace played out. I think quite a barrio is very talented and certainly a horse that I think can move forward on the Derby trail. But I think the Todd's lecture actually has a couple that have not even gone into prep races as of yet. So I'll say one that is a little bit underneath the radar and I'm going to say a horse that I've actually seen in person. So I was a little bit more confidently with that. It's the hardest thing to touch code, who was probably one of the most impressive made in are not touch code, excuse me. I'm so sorry. Let me see if I could think of the source the same. Touch code was second in the race. It's a gray horse owned by Mandy Pope for Todd Fletcher. This is embarrassing that I can't think of the horse's name right now. I'll be back to you on that one. I'll get back to you on that one. That I promise. But it was a Mandy Pope horse that Todd puts her head that was really impressive. And I think he's going to go into some of the prep races in the future. And for me, that's kind of the best three year old that I've seen in the last couple of months. All right, yeah. You can pass that along later in the show. I'll pass it along. Certainly well. We come up with the name. There are so many at this time of year. We're getting to know these horses on the road to the Derby. And again, we'll pass that along. Tom has sent an email and doesn't have a location, but I appreciate the email, Tom. He says, buyers, brisk, time form, or something else, besides your visual handicapping, which is excellent. Well, thank you for that. Definitely rely, I think the most on the visual handicapping, I do rely on buyer C figures. I think it's a really good guide. I also like looking at the rags in sheets. I think that that's a really good help. And it's not widely used. So it really can help you kind of looking for some value and things like that as well. But I do think just for general handicapping some day to day and I look at so many different races, I do prefer looking at buyer speed figures because I think in general, they tend to really kind of help you decipher a horse maybe coming in from a different track. How does that horse stack up to the horses he's facing, for instance, coming from a smaller race track into Gulf Stream. So I would say of those options, that's probably what I would rely on most. Just from a general daily handicapping angle. Does that philosophy change Acacia depending on whether it's a sprint race or a root race or whether it's a grass race or a dirt race, does your approach change a little bit in terms of the things that you're looking at to help you pick a winner? It does. You know, I think a good example of that is when we added the new to PETA surface that Gulf Stream, I was really and the times were a little bit slower and we were all kind of figuring out how to handicap it. And I think that some of the biosphere figures, for instance, on those to Peter races, tended to come back pretty slow. And then we would see those sources go on a gram motion horse, for the same ambitious, who want to mate and race on to PETA and the figure came back really slowly. And then she came back and ran really, really well in a turf stake in her subsequent start. So I think it's all kind of weighing happening at that time was there a bias. We've saw really at golf stream for instance on the torpedo that it was more geared towards outside closers. You didn't want to be stuck down inside. So I think you need to take all of those figures with a grain of salt because that's kind of the beauty of horse racing that there's so many different things happening, so many different angles as well, paying attention to how the track is playing is really important. And like you said, the distance in the condition of the race. All right, again, the phone lines, not open for this week's edition of you be the host. We'll have that rectified for you for next week. But a case of Courtney is here. She is taking your questions and so many of you have already taken time to send an email with a question. You can do that. Mike at horse tracing radio dot net. That's the way to email the show and to ask a question of vacation. I will pass that along for you. Occasion, how much is your ticket going to be on that Rainbow Six later today? I have an $86 and 40 cent ticket. So definitely more than I would typically do for a daily kind of public ticket for the Rainbow Six, but we're expecting several million in the pool this afternoon upwards of 6 million. So it should be, it should be a lot of excitement and I did not have a single in the sequence if I was going to single, it would probably be in the second leg in race number 8 with the number ten horse propensity. I think he's the lone speed. He's a little bit tough to trust. Do I back to myself up with another in there? But he's kind of my anchor of the play. As I was doing my little mini filibusters, we were waiting to connect with you here. You were having those issues a short time ago. I was walking through and just outlining what the races are. You know, the different types of races and there is truly something for everybody if you like 8 races that's great. If you prefer to bet claiming races, that's cool too, or if you're a straight allowance player, there's those races too. So there's something for everybody in these 6 races. There really is, you know, it starts off on the turf with it starts off excuse me. The first leg is on the Topeka with a starter allowance, but I think is really competitive. Then you have that turf race where I mentioned propensity is to see a 9 furlong made in special weight race with some beautifully bred horses. Turf allowance race, Chad Brown bill molotov Fletcher, all in play. So it's really exciting. And I think actually for me, the toughest races in the sequence were the first race of the sequence and then in actually that made in special weight for 9 for long. I like shade mcghee's montauk point, but he's still I think kind of developing still kind of finding his rhythm and it's just really tough to leave out Todd pletcher in any of those kinds of races as well. And he's got a couple strong chances in there. So those are tricky and you have to be able to kind of have done your research ahead of time because when you're playing those multi race sequences, you won't be able to lean on how the board is playing for some of those younger horses. Yeah. Yeah. So we have a tweet and it is not a well, I guess it is kind of a question. Was the name of the horse that we were looking for earlier? Was it charge it?.

"Unfortunately, because of the way that we had to restructure this, we can not take calls from our listeners, but what we can do is people can email the show with a question for you. So if somebody was trying to call in and they couldn't get a hold of you, they can email us, might get horse racing radio dot net, or you can hit us up on social media at HR and on Twitter, horse racing radio network on Facebook. And thank goodness we have you, because I think people were tired of me walking through those races in the pick 6. They want to hear from you, not me. Yeah, I didn't want to leave you hanging. I kept trying to jump in as Mike, come here, I can help you. I can help you. Going through it by yourself is the worst. So I apologize for that. Yeah, yeah, no, no problem. So I do have a question. So Jason has sent an email and this is interesting. How significant to the horse industry? Do you feel it is that my racehorse has a horse on the Derby trail again with chasing time in the rebel today. And the second part of this question does it help the horse racing industry if my race horse has a Derby contender for two out of the last three years? Well, I think it's a really interesting question and my racehorse has been, I think, a fascinating kind of new layer to horse racing ownership and a great opportunity. I think my hope personally is somebody in the industry that people that can get involved in micro shares and have the experience of owning horse going on. A Kentucky to Herbie trail, perhaps and all the way to the Derby winner's circle. I think it's my hope that those people will get bit by the racing bug and maybe continue on to ownership and other facets, but more than anything that that will grow the fan base and the advocacy for horse racing. That's really my hope. So I think it's really exciting. I was actually talking to somebody this morning, a friend who has a micro share of chasing time and she's really, really excited that he could potentially be going on to The Kentucky Derby. And I think it's great. You know, I appreciate the members of my race horse who bet on their horse, to come out and support. And I think it's a really exciting concept. And it's certainly half off to the industry for embracing something new. Yeah, any of those types of things that get people exposed to ownership and to the sport of thoroughbred racing. You know, there's not much downside to things like that. Sure. No, I couldn't agree more. And you know, I've had some experience with the my race first team and some people that own horses with my race horse and like I said, if you didn't know much about the industry to come into it, it's a wonderful opportunity to get a chance to kind of learn about it. And that can never be a bad thing for the sport of horse racing. All right, again, you can email your questions. We did have some issues with the phone line there today, but you can email your question for Acacia. This is you be the host, the email, Mike, at horse racing radio dot net, and I will pass that question along for you. So you're still hosting, but a little different fashion here. But it is live radio. So we just roll with the punches. Todd and New York and Todd wants to know how much time does it take Acacia to candy cap a Rainbow Six sequence. Oh, well, it actually is quite caught time consuming. I typically spend a couple hours on each racing card. And then especially when it's a Saturday of racing, like today with the mandatory payout, and there are some very, very tricky racism there, particularly the maiden special weight one in the sequence. Mike, you know how I love those and I will go through and do kind of regular handicapping, watching replays, taking a look at horses dropping in class, changes any of that kind of stuff. But I also really rely on the notes that I have from physicality of anything that I've seen in the past. And for me, that can be really helpful as far as kind of sifting through. And also I'll watch workouts on XC TV that are available. I try to use every resource. So it takes a few hours for sure. It's the time investment, but I think with the depth of a Rainbow Six and how the races are stacked and how competitive they are, you do need to put in the time for it. It's a great opportunity to kind of go in with a few friends. When you put a ticket together and take the time to talk things over with other people as well, kind of get different opinions because I think you do need to put the time into it for a wage or like this with 6 different races and sometimes there's just so much depth to it that you can end up with 5, 6 horses in any race. So see if you can narrow things down if you have a stronger opinion to lean on that and then if you have a stronger opinion against the horse as well, that can be really helpful as far as being able to knock out some other ticket to make it play a little bit more in your favor and especially with its a mandatory payout or Rainbow Six sequence. I'm definitely a fan of playing multiple tickets too. So you have yourself covered. All right, again, the phone lines not open for this edition of you be the host, but the email is our social media is. So if you want to tweet a question for Acacia, you can do that at, or if you want to email a question for her, you can do that. Mike at horse racing radio dot net. And we do have another one Acacia. Michael in South Carolina sends a note and says, Acacia is a great ambassador for the sport. I agree. And then it goes on to say, which three year old colt and Philly is she most impressed with right now. Oh, right now..

"Well we had birds in the last week. Cappos and cape cookies playing jazz and drumming. And this week it's trees and their ways with water and carbon as revealed in a series of papers just published by professor mcadams of swinburne university in melbourne. The first thing. I want to know about your paper which i find really intriguing. Is the figure of eighty percent of the atmospheric water in other words coming from the land actually goes through trees. You know i've got a vague idea. That it evaporates of rivers lakes and washes in from the sky by the ocean and all that but eighty percent going through trees. that's astounding. How many people know that. I think people do understand it. On north shore. It varies a lot. But in some parts of the world gets up to ninety percent and this is the great river basins of the amazon and the congo which really drive a hell of a lot of the world's climate and their it's ninety percent of the water is going back to the atmosphere through the planets and it's an astounding figure astray is a little different. But even how great wide expanses of so-called desert grain up and when they grown up the water goes back to the atmosphere through the plants. And so if you knock all the trees down. Don't be surprised if the rain stops well. It's an interesting prospect but certainly in places like amazon the congo. that's a significant issue that removing the vegetation is going to change the climate now question and in what ways and this is the heart of your four extraordinary papers in nature. Communications suggests that there is a very strong link between how much cobb and gets taken out of the atmosphere in other words carbon cycle and the amount of water going through. How is it the this is the other really important point that for every gram of carbon gets taken up by a plant. We need a kilogram of water to go back to the atmosphere. Now that varies a really efficient plant. Not tie up. Four grams of carbon for every kilogram of water but it sends back to the atmosphere. But that's an important number and it's very badly understood. And why does it happen. Yeah because plants exchange carbon for water through these tiny things code stew mata which pause on the leaf surface. Yeah the breathing holes of breathing halls. The great communicators as i like to think of them and two quite ronald reagan yet. Those tiny little paws on the late surface are incredibly important because the plant can control. The poor can close them. It can open remarkable piece of physiology. And we've got a situation. If i can sum up briefly we've got a constant stream of water going through trees at a huge rate and not simply. The sort of drinking is because you've got to transport the various minerals such like through the tree and that's why there's a particular pressure and why. Evaporation happens in the marta. So you get a drag up of the water and while that's going on you have sort of situation where you've got to take carbon out of the atmosphere now when you come to glasgow and the ipc and all the rest of it emissions is one thing and getting to that level is over very well but unless you take carbon out of the atmosphere at the same time we're not gonna make it and so what you're talking about in terms of re shaping where ideas about preserving forests is absolutely crucial. Is it not. It is robin. And this has been debated at many cop. Meetings at spain debated at hundreds of scientific meetings in scientific circles. It's well understood that we've got a day. Carbon is the atmosphere and the vegetation of the earth is a very very big playa now. The difficulty is that day kaban in the atmosphere. Just relying on plants is gonna be a very very slow process in day. Took a long time to put all that. Say to up there and it's gonna take an equally long time to get it back out in other words. We've got a slow the emissions at the same time as whiting for the vegetation to do its thing and stop the poll ceo to back out. Everyone wants a quicker fakes. But unfortunately there isn't going to be a quick fix. The vegetation and the biosphere are in a long term equilibrium on the problem is we gave that equilibrium. A hell of a shove. One of the world's most unpredictable experiments. And we're now reaping what we showed you can't dis- flick a switch and go back to what it was pre nineteen sixty not gonna happen when indeed but the saving grace of course as tim flannery and other people have said is that there are a number of things we can do with kelp with seaweed with certain rocks that absorbs o two and when it comes to what you're doing yourself i see in reference to your papers. You talk about set trees. We have in australia. For instance the bottle brushes which are absolutely marvelous at doing this sort of thing. Why them yeah. The acacias remarkable. The area of acacia woodland and shrub land in australia is roughly sign. As the area of eucalyptus and pray european settlement it was larger than eucalyptus. These bigalow maga these sort of common nines vast areas of these woody plants and they are right off the chart when it comes to water use efficiency in some cases we have to exclude them from our analysis because they are so good at taking up kaban per unit water much better than eucalypt much better than even pine trees which is sort of known around the world for coping and dry environment so native occasions. If we want to take up a lot of carbon via our land by s- let's start restoring those acacia woodlands. The other beautiful thing that i do is acquire nitrogen from the atmosphere. They don't need to take it up from the soil. we don't need to use fertilizer and it's fertilizer. I'm sure your listeners will now. Is the big bogeyman around the world when it comes to polluting the atmosphere. How many people in australia actually know what you've just said case work in fact could save the world. Well i haven't spoken to twenty six and a half million people yet. So i think i'm gonna have to get out there and put on my shoes and start knocking on doors. I reckon it's just one of the greatest hidden treasures that we have is the genus occasion. And finally your work is based very much on the work of grandfa- whom i've known for many many years because he's one of the most famous fellas. The australian academy of science is being and at one stage. I think he was. The most cited in other words disgust scientists in the world. You know his papers were picked up by other people. I can recall as a student going. And listening to graham espen. Dial the all say sorrows facility down there and being inspired by his remarkable mental agility. I think is something. That just characterizes. Grime work is absolutely by on fundamental ideas that grind put together. We couldn't do what we do without what graham did. It's the nature of science where we step on the shoulders of others and try and mike a small contributions of iran professor mark adams at swinburne university. Who's just published in nature..

"Essential in the jim. Dandy is a terrific effort. I thought you know you can only got a ninety fire. I thought considering the ground loss and considering the way that we of had arrived him. I thought basically from the half-mile pole had him a little bit early to to get into the race. I thought it was. It was a really nice effort. Still grind down keeping in mind. Who got that railroading trips. I thought you know it's one of those things central audit us really really admirable as you just. I know it's a cliche but he just finds away to win. And it's you know he's he's only lost once. His career knows when he had a little bit of trouble trip in the derby but he just he just gets the job done. He's not always brilliant. I think most barely race of course was the belmont us a little bit more of a grinder but am seeing the figure this race. But it's got to be a lot bigger bigger relatively speaking the buyers and the horse to be going into the travers through. I think he's separated himself so much as someone else can't come and get them if they have a big you know august. September october No i don't think so but you know. He's just an extremely extremely admirable horizontal. It's great to see him run. It's great that he ran in the jim dandy instead of just taking off. The belmont to the travers. I think that's kind of more of what we have. Bob horses running three times in six months. You know when there. There's no reason for them not to run so it was great to see him agenda Break to see him. Drivers don't think he's gonna stare off a ton of contenders which is good. I think it'll still be a good a good size field. But nevertheless he was a he was a monster effort. I felt considering background loss. Not as big as the belmont effort but still very good efforts. And i'm not gonna take too much time. Because i wonder what these guys thought. But the other horse. I think you have to mention talk. About his jackie's warrior. On sunday in the answer was this was a race where it rained time. Basically right before the race was a half hour. Delay is only other race previously on. A sloppy track was in the southwest. What he wants to the front end ten gone easy. Lead backed up with a welby third. That was the reason not him off. the derby. Traveling were smarter not to keep pressing forward. Try to make him a router as it was. It was a good idea to make a turn. Sprinter damn has he become a dynamite. One turns printer in the absolutely dazzling horse to watch and chow to fan of the show and friend of the show kirk robinson. Another big win for their their barn star. You know he just he run so fast. You don't see horses. Click off twenty one and forty three in races. first of all that are beyond six furlongs. Sampson was six and a half to the same thing in the pat day mile which was obviously a mile and a annuity. Stevens didn't go quite that. It's like forty four flat after missing the break and still stuck around like that is huge big time speed and it's just it's a pleasure to watch 'em us basically used for the final sixteenth that race gotta one buyer. That doesn't matter to me. It's the context of the way. He ran the splits. He's he set. You broke everybody's heart and going into the lane one performance. Those stuck out to me. I'm sure you guys have some happens. Yeah joe i agree with you. Virtually everything he said. Let's just. I don't have a whole lot to add onto what essential quality did but i think you're right in we keep waiting this horse to wow us and it's just not going to happen. Which is you went out is okay. That's not what he does We're gonna call the first captain of rider a with dispatcher. What aga- such a and horse but it's not it's okay to be grinder because in the end of the day. Have your nose inferred the wire no matter how you did it all. that's important. is that you win. And a couple of things. About that you know i assume lip-read pods is obvious. Enter travers at mind in the dandy and nobody has out anymore and has forces at ready to go. Early has an eighty percent but you gotta think he improve off at race if even better in the traverse with hot rod. Charlie waiting for the travelers. Don't know yet what he's point. I don't believe pantaloons either obvious. Conserve water run man against a central plot. He's aptly the horse to feed him the travers and maybe if he wins that race depending on what happens in the breeders prop you might be pretty close to a world championship. Well we'll see about that so a couple races that you did mention you know coming into the region we talked about. I captured the he was to be new. Rights are for the aches. Well he he told me Ban clinker in a bad third who had looked like he could absolutely with race at that. Every time kelly met farms just thirty five to one in a stakes race. Please remind me joe and had me bed and then you're rich. He's only win it. I'm talking about lexin. tony is last race. He was six mile beaten. Forty five lakes but they had this nat- for winning with these big shots california. The bing crosby thought was notable because not to shovel a three year old. You never see that this time of year. We're all taken out older horses. Winston bing crosby certain be reckoned with a force down the road in probably the sprint. And you're hitting on all the points that that the all the races that i was gonna talk about as well bill. I mean essential quality. I think i'm a bigger fan than you guys are of him. Because i think that you know you say he has a run a brilliant race. And i think he's. He's run a couple of great races. I mean the belmont was a one. Oh nine by our and and and and was just an outstanding. You know again. Use the term grinder Standing run down the lane. The only race he ran that was off. The board was the by a length in a very difficult field. You know obviously the kentucky derby and he's done all this without lasix which i think is an important point for styling in prospect. Going forward that if we're going to be eliminating lasix for the most part Integrated stake races. You need to see that in a horse. I know run happy. They advertise the hell out of the fact that he never ran on anything and a lot of people can originated with that message. I think it's only becoming more ballot of a point that the horses never run on lakes and is still putting in these kinds of performances is never lost other than in the conduct every line so i was glad to see. I mean in essence in. Joe you're better handicap handicap than i am. Obviously but you know you would think that he went from sixty nine. Eight hundred eight buyer ninety five ninety six ninety seven one hundred to one zero nine that he was gonna bounce at some point and this was his banks. Raise any still one that was that was still an impressive thing so i think that they're trying to crank him up again to get ready for these other big races coming up and And he's just you know he's he's the epitome of consistency. And what you would look for in a stallion prospect. When you're when you're reading on the road got the looks. Obviously he's got the pedigree and an he's done at all. You know basically on his on his own volition and own talents. Dr shovel was a horse. That i really was impressed with crosby. Winning grey one as a three year old bill. You mentioned stepped up raining older horses and wasn't even a favorite in that race. Know is a difficult race with eight rings ceesay rocket in a couple of others in there so that was a really cool race. Let's tony was so much fun to watch a thirty four thirty four one shot win and that was a difficult race. I mean there's a reason why he was in the thirty one range. Mischievous alex didn't didn't run his race. They said he had a breathing problem. Afterwards which is understandable. Freezing fires is a is a nicer strike. Power was great to winner. Whitmore when the breeder's cup sprint last year. I mean in those our horses that he left in the dust so that was kind of fun to watch him and again fun for the watch. A trainer not named Cox brown maker or pletcher win a race. I mean jackson Quietly moving up the ranks as one of these upcoming trainers that everyone should take notice. We've we've talked to him on the show and he was just an impressive guy. So i was really pleased to see that cross-border winning the the bowling green. It's great. I think we need to mention it ran a almost a lifetime. Best for might make her in that race saratoga and then i'm going to do a little self.

"acacia" Discussed on Awaken To Empower with Kay Sanders

"Hi there welcome back to another episode super excited you tuning in again now. Today's episode. I would like the top little bit more about how to uplift yourself in order to uplift others. And why you must do your work first before you can actually help others. So the thing is you know you have to. It all starts with you now. You can't really help others if you haven't done your own work first and especially when it comes to healing and and being light worker and being an impasse being back coach a mentor. Anything where you're actually helping other people in one inner level you gotta do your own work first before you can help someone else. It all starts with you or otherwise. You won't know how to help them right because you must learn what it's like or what they're experiencing in also how to make it out of a challenge before you can really effectively help someone else. So for example you are a healer. You have to go through your own healing. I oh he others. Let's say you're a coach or a mentor. You have have to do your own. Inner work i in order to impact someone else. Let's say you wanna create abundance right. You must have experienced financial hardship. I in order to know what others are. What needs to happen to break through any limitation whether your business coach mindset coach healer. A light worker or anything anything. Were you actually help other people. You've got to experience the stuff yourself first before you can help others and i get like someone actually asked me today because i had a conversation with someone and she was kind of frustrated because you know she has been trying to grow her business for many years and has really worked and you know she's she wants to empower others but the message that i was able to challenge for her to give her was that she hasn't really done her work yet. She hasn't gone deep enough and one of the things she had mentioned to music. But dr stay help other people. He'll you know they haven't experienced that. But the thing is. And i get it. I mean it does make sense may doctors. They help a lot of people. But if you're thinking about a doctor who only has book smarts will never be able to understand someone that for example experience physical pain now i exempt i have fibromyalgia and back into the nineteen hurt myself so bad that i had multiple things going on now. The doctors that i saw i saw multiple doctors. Not one of them understood what. I was saying because i kept telling them. It's like muscle related. But they kept saying no. It's your back you know. Because i also have a pinched nerve. I mean i have the degenerating discs. What herniated clear like no. No no this comes from you back. But i actually then discovered that i have do till ten and apathy. So it's like actually the tenants were inflamed. But you see the thing is all the doctors are. I think about six in one year. Not one was actually listening to me and hearing what i was saying. They couldn't empathize with me. Because day simply didn't know what i was experiencing and that's what i mean like you cannot help someone truly make a transformation. Yeah you can maybe give them some advice of what you have learned. Let's say you've done courses or if you've read a lot of books whatnot. Maybe you have the book smarts off how to create abundance or law attraction right but if you have never experienced a yourself you will the quality of service that you can provide to impact that you will provide will be completely different than you would have experienced it yourself so going back to the doctors example right in yes. The doctors can help patients by what they have learned. But when it's something like like what i experienced with pain or whatnot. If they've never experienced it they would never understand what i'm going through. And they would also not be able to help me as much as someone who would have experienced themselves with someone that had passed fibromyalgia to end. Who's overcome pain or whatnot.

Sahel of a mess: France's impossible peacekeeping mission

"Jihadists are entrenching themselves. Ever further in the suhel continent wide strip of semi arid land just south of the sahara desert. There are former islamic state fighters ousted from the middle east al qaeda associates and a number of ethnic militias. The sahel's hitter ends are far from any city state. Laws don't hold. Public services barely exist last year. Nearly five thousand people died in battles or acts of terror in the region six fold increase on two thousand sixteen. An estimated four million people have fled their homes this week. Sixty world leaders are among those who have gathered online for the paris. Peace forum where the crisis is being discussed. A united nations peacekeeping force has a rim to patrol and to help rebuild the embattled region but most combat missions against the jihadists are led by several thousand french troops. Some of whom are based this gow in mali. Well we arrived in gow by plane then took a french military helicopter which flew at low altitude extremely fast for about an hour to get to this advance base that they've built out there in the middle of the sahel sophie. Better 'cause our paris bureau chief. An extraordinary region absolutely vast nothing in any direction will miss no human habitation. A few acacia trees the occasional goatherd and a tiny settlement. But that's about it and then you arrive in the middle of this dusty zone read colored sand where the soldiers who've made it. All the way from france had just finished a month. Long operation against jihadist. So these were both regular french soldiers but also special forces the most recent of these operations. They killed several dozen jihadists. They seize weapons motorbikes fuel and to one of them just described it. Talk to me that it was intense. There were violent encounters on the ground. This is real proper combat that the french soldiers are engaged in there. And how significant is the french presence in the region. Well the french have over five thousand troops as part of this operation that they called it by far the biggest contributor to any of the operations in the region there is a un peacekeeping operation with over thirteen thousand soldiers but no single country contribute as many as the french do. There are two hundred and fifty british for example due to arrive. Soon there are three hundred and fifty germans there but in effect. What's is obvious. Once you're there is how the real combat operations fall to the french conditions. A tough is extremely hard. The sand everywhere is grueling. And it's risky. How risky last year was the region's deadliest for years. There was a particularly nasty incident at the end of the year when the french lost. Thirteen elite soldiers in a helicopter crash but local soldiers from nizhny. Molly have also been on the receiving end of terrorist attacks. Neo lost seventy one soldiers in one attack than there was another took out fifty from marley. So it's a constant vigilance. And there's a constant sense of vulnerability even for the armed forces operating out there. But why is it that francis chosen to take the lead to to be the country with the greatest presence on the ground. Franz historically has links to the region it is the former colonial power which also causes something a problem now because it gets accused of acting in a sort of neo clooney away and fronts also has permanent military bases out there so it becomes a sort of natural partner for crisis in the past. I think that the french have really tried to change their strategy. This year. emmanuel macron host to summit at the beginning of the year with the leaders of the five signs countries and the idea is to trained share some of the burden to make sure that the french show more supported on the ground by the european countries for example they i saw estonians their swedish officer but also to try and get the regional armies to do a better job themselves and that was very clear in the description that i heard of the operations where they were working really very closely alongside marlon and nigerian forces in some of these operations against the jihadists issue in june macron emphasizes commitment to the operation solo vehicle always mma which party about the the fight against terrorism. But it's also about the return of governance and development for the region in which he wanted to work with local governments that are much closer basis and is that big french presence making any real difference to the levels of jihadist violence in this. Hell when i think it's important to think of it in terms of different regions and where we were so that was in the sort of central new central mari. I spoke to general marquan rate. Who commands the oppression. Can't overall the some offered to trish. She tested in terms of often. You said he was very satisfied with recent operations there. I think the french sense that they've really dealt a blow to what they call a die ashley. Islam state in the greater hara premium capacity results. Iovine underneath the media and the general said they haven't disappeared is but they don't have the same capacity to cause trouble that they did at the end of last year. So i think there is progress in that particular zone where they've been conducting these intense operations. Of course. the problem remains that can operate in one area but they certainly can't operate all over the country and that's where she doesn't remains a big problem and so what prospects for for actually paring back their prisons. I think is incredibly difficult. You know. I think the the french Condemned in a sense to stay in the sahel. The no plans to leave or to withdraw all their forces tool. I mean it's more question of trying to share the burden more the adversity. they're up against these jihadist groups. They are incredibly mobile than a magic they move about on motorbikes and pickup trucks and they can just disappear into the bush in a way. That's for the french forces. It's just makes it very difficult to contain and to target and so it sounds as if the the only option than it is to draw in international help. I mean how. How hard will that be the reds Help on the grounds. The american particular provide ups a crucial intelligence support to the operation. The british operates three shoot. Kelly copters there as well as part of buchan and they if french beccles and troops into combat zones on special forces which is obviously much more declined to start operations but the estonians are there and there are some checks and swedish special forces due to arrive soon so european countries are helping franz. But they aren't at the same time. Exactly lining up to offer these combat troops. And i think franz sometimes feels that. It's doing this job very much alone but the situation you describe is probably not going to be massively changed by a few dozen or a few hundred special forces. Even it's an incredibly difficult situation. The best the fringe show hoping to do is to try and contain the threat to try and secure areas and enable millions to go back to their homes into a more sense of security in some parts of the country. But it's not about defeating the enemy across the entire country. I think that much is clear.

Post Time: Fountain of Youth is leap day for Derby hopefuls

"Happy Fountain of Youth Day. Thank you thank you starting early today for so eleven. Thirty fourteen racist today so should be a good one. I don't know if people think chancellor card yet but I mean it's just stacked start to finish so we're we're gearing up for a day. How's the weather down there today? Good conditions it's great It was very breezy and on the chilly side yesterday. Obviously not Florida are rolling their eyes at US saying that it's cool but it feels different when it gets colder down in Florida will definitely say that. But it's gorgeous. Today it's going to be low. Seventies son is out a little bit less windy than yesterday as well. Let's start with the Fountain of Youth. That will be the final of the fourteen races on this Saturday program. Twelve horses are entered. There was some conversation about chance it potentially coming out because of the outside post position As of just a little bit ago I think he is still in so some decisions yet to be made but twelve horses set to go. How did you see this one? Yeah he is still and he does have until forty five minutes before the race as is the protocol for Great. It's so he's got some time There was one scratch just of the number two horse in there but This is a tough race chance. It's been really impressive. And Ultra talented and and obviously Fun Horse to watch down here but I did go with the Horse. That actually finished second to him in the Home Watch. Oh man and that is as you know on. Tv For Kelly Brian. I just thought that this course who I had not actually seen him physically before leading into that last race and he really showed me. Both in the flesh needs performance that he was the type that could handle the stroud and distance effectively. I think he's drawn well and he's going to be really tough. Obviously done this moment. It's going to take a lot of attention. Chance it as well and those are some good horses but I'm GonNa land on as seen on TV seen on. Tv Ninety two on the morning line has been extremely consistent. You mentioned the forest arts. Two wins two seconds and that runner up in the mutual macho man last time to to under pokka. Lopez here this afternoon. I'd like to spend more time talking with you about some of the other contenders but in the interest of time here this morning. Let's move on to the race. For the three year old girls we don't want to neglect the phillies The Dow is race number ten one mile on the main track. It will go right around that four o'clock eastern time. Yeah this is an exciting race. You've got tunnel shape city outside Saffy. Joseph's junior has obviously really burst onto the scene this year with the likes of math wizard and then of course potential Derby contender and Chan said and he's also got affiliate that Again is undefeated and turned out to be the first graded stakes winner for Tony. Lists and sire and she even though she's been so impressive it does kind of feel like even in this race that she still has a little something to prove. It'll be interesting I think that the race really revolves around the todd. Pletcher Philly in spices nice. I mean she was just a monster in her debut and I spoke to todd yesterday and he said that she was the phillies but they obviously really had high hopes for given the purchase price and her breathing out of the Dorsey and she not only showed up in her debut. But I watch pretty much all of her recent workouts at Palm Beach downs and I spoke to todd about this too and that she's been training for the most part with some of the really highly touted colts and his part including the point. Who was really well tipped out market analysis. Just some very talented horses. That have won first time out. And she's been training with the colts. A Lotta Sense. Kinda dwarfs inside too. She's a very very big Philly but she has a nice way of moving and they taught it said that was a way of them kind of testing. Just how good is she? And she's really responded to retest. Yeah that I start. She dominated her maiden race on January twelve. She won by twelve ran away from the field. That probably could have been more if they wanted it to be. That was at the same one mile distances. Today's Dimona del Was there a obviously? She was the favourite that day ACACIA but was a palpable buzz around spices. Nice when she walked into the paddock that day there was and you know she would not necessarily be the type of horse that I would pick out in a lineup Just face off of you know looks for a Horse. That would win first. Came out like I said. She's very big she by curl and She has kind of a long stride along next to her and I thought that she was going to win. But I was almost wondering puts. You need a race which you need to turn. And she's just so talented that she was almost kind of able to overcome. Maybe not looking like the precocious sharp I out type of winter so I thought that was really interesting as well. And and obviously this is going to be a tougher spot going right into graded stakes company but think that she is really one of the box. Office potential superstars on the undercard today. And I'm excited to see her. I also use underneath though in Second. I use five reluctant bride. Who I think is good and I like her switching to stay. She's got dirt pedigree and I spoke to Patrick the cone the other day and he said he tries a lot of his horses that he thinks are good. On the turf I F. A. Indian and sold allante being perfect examples and He says he thinks it's an easier trip. And then you switch them to dirt and that just might be where they're most comfortable and that's what he's doing with this one today who just closed so impressively in her first race. And I think that she's got some ability to talking with ACACIA. Courtney from Gulfstream Park here on the Horse Racing Radio Network Again Fountain of Youth Day Fourteen races. We have time to look at one more case you have about a minute or so. Just over that for we have to get to the next segment The Gulfstream Park Mile is race number. Twelve another big field. Eleven horses entered one mile on the main track. And this is a very interesting race gear. Mclaughlin had to including Hi Collin true. Kimber I really like hike. Second also layoff. I think he's GonNa be a big improvement for him today. And I think that it's kind of always flies under the radar is how Creek Hustle. He's actually my top picks some paddock school the other day for Vicki Foley. I think he's actually going seven furlongs. One Turn My. Oh which is what he gets today. just a side note. It's the treat to see Pegasus World Cup runner up MR freeze back. And he'll turn back and distance as well for for Dale Romans who could potentially have a big day. Yeah it could be a huge day for Dale and ACACIA. Has a very busy day ahead of her. So we'll let her go. Acacias squeezed me in this morning. I appreciate you taking a few minutes. Go enjoy the rest of the day and we'll talk soon. Thanks for being here all right. Thanks guys take care. She's the best Acacia Courtney. The little a here on the horse racing radio network do miss having her with us on the network but she's doing good things down there Gulfstream and on some of the other national. Tv

Carl Thomas explains the prospect of Hearables-as-a-Platform

"Carl's based in London and You know what's cool though is it's like when you're in a niche of a niche. You know I'm insurable. So being a niche of wearables you sort of start to familiarize yourself with WHO's who on social media in Carlsbad active for a few years as of I and I've gotten to know him and just like I really like his thinking and so when I got when I decided to do the podcast like looking at the list of people that I wanted to bring on in Carl was first and foremost for my hero. People that I wanted to bring on because because I think he has a really interesting perspective and You know I think one of the things that I wanted to start out with with this conversation is your relationship with Nikon Con Nikon gene the analysts who actually coined the term Cheryl's He and Carl. No each other in Carl's had a a good chance to kind of get to know him his thinking and so I thought we'd maybe start there. Tell us a little bit about like what you've learned from Nick in the time spent with them. Yeah sure so give context. When is that my company back in two thousand twelve? That wasn't really elaborate markets in London. And I say that there are a lot of people thinking about where I was really. There were people who will come together as community. Talking about some of the challenges the web was in dip applications in different markets. Where are half it to try? Like to get market penetration so I set up a community of web enthusiasts cool route is London and it was reached a chance to get engineers entrepreneurs investors people that were just infused where things together top CIA around applications markets and our very first event. Nick was my very. I took a bit more about love as time. And this is plotted to his. I'm not paper. where he talks about? Edition of herons to become him. Speaking buds it's nick announced himself as someone who is A. He announced himself as someone. Who's everything Wi fi incorporates? The snow plows right through to deal with that. Got My attention but mostly big based on will always doing. We're talk a lot. Around the evolution of headphones and talk law dates utility they can provide and he then at twenty fourteen announced his white paper by he looked at from his perspective. Marinates especially in Britain take stock into them to provide extra attention experiences. I'm then what that would look like shit. The Bowl to provide an acacias boy speaking in the house so I think think that kind of obviously gave us a lot of common ground to talk about what we have been thinking about central but then from my perspective that paper early Wednesday far in terms of giving us an inside was thinking. I'm really privileged. Have number charged with him and I think he's really Understand is actually. What's this ongoing experiences? Actually utility that we can provide on a regular basis of the physical products. And when can you speak to about different types of hair. CA- market over the last five. Six years is being healthy sceptical about their prospects purely only because he sees the potential paypal's has been something whereby they can provide an ongoing. I'm experiencing utility to people to really help so somebody's grandma I'm just. Yeah and you know this idea of a platform right. It's like as the world becomes more subscription based it's like like every single day it seems like the world becomes a little bit more subscription oriented. This idea of as a platform is a really intriguing idea. I am one example that I'll give for. That is the idea of hearing aids. You know as a subscription you know think of it as you as an individual have have some type of you know if you have some type of hearing loss you have a very unique type of hearing loss in a way that in of itself is like a prescription right in so your hearing care provider determines your prescription and then they program you with your you know you call it your medicine call it that you're hearing aid but it's that it's that a calibrated frequency You know like the whole way in which the blanking on the word the Audio grim the audio metric configuration of your of your hearing and and so you think about this as a platform right so a lot of the hesitancy with buying a hearing aid comes with the sticker shock that's associated with the high high price point. Because it's a it's an upfront payment so rather than that. What if you actually unbundled a hearing aid in the device itself cost X.? Amount of money and then your pain on a monthly basis for your prescription right. You're paying for that preprogramed that's catered specifically to you. It changes over time. Because you're you're hearing loss tends to depreciate over time and so you have this you have this hearing hearing aid that is more or less a widget but it's It is on a subscription basis that you're subscribing to your prescription and that's just one example of this idea of how these these types of in the devices whether it be from a medical application or more of consumer application You can start to see ways in which you can can actually layer subscriptions in such in truly make these things platforms.

Giant Swarm Of Locusts From Middle East Now Threatening Kenya's Farms

"Is facing is facing. Its worst locust invasion in seven decades. The locusts have found perfect conditions over the past two years as they have moved from the middle released onto the African continent where they are now threatening farmland and peers eight Peralta reports. The swarms of locusts are massive. Some of them extend across miles of land but finding that is not easy because at the moment they are in one of Kenya's most remote remote regions so we drive offroad up mountains we pass dry riverbeds acacia trees and an occasional antelope elope and then my interpreter notices flickers of yellow zooming past us and the road ahead turns yellow. I mean we're we're literally early driving on top of them all look at them right here. They're clump up in punch of whoa in their meeting. They are meeting right now. The locusts are in what is known as an upsurge driven by unusually rainy weather. Normally Solitary Brown. Desert Grasshoppers have turned bright yellow high on Serotonin. They have gone sex an eating binge. Maybe I can put my microphone close to them. You might be able to hear sounds. They're making with their legs as as they made which I know pretty growth. These swarms of locusts focused have been forming for a year and a half. They started in the Middle East and three rare. Cyclones have provided the rain they have needed to multiply and become the biggest infestation here in Kenya. In seventy years it could be devastating. These things driving everything that is Stanley. Kipkoech the specializes in migratory pests for the Kenyan government. Yes because they are really aids up every on there are in huge huge which numbers we are talking millions now. The locusts are threatening Kenya's farms and they've already eaten through some fields of cat a leaf chewed as a stimulant. And that is the worry. Yeah if now. It goes through their highly populated areas. That will be back on the field old. We stumbled upon the homestead of family of herders. Some are playing drums church. Others have taken their cows to find pasture. Susan says one swarm flew right past their homes a few days ago it would get another Nile. Yea because they were like clouds goodyear so in the leading and it was raining. They had never seen anything like it. Everyone ran inside while the elders and Morons the warriors checked out the locusts. I asked her if part of this isn't intriguing when you look closely. Locusts are even kind of beautiful. I gained a union. They don't care about their beauty right now. She says their cows are having a tough time greasy because the government has been spraying pesticides from planes. There is no beauty in that she says so. She just wants these pests. Gone Impair News. Some Borough County County Kenya.

How not to be a data hoarder

"Got to a point where it used to be dido hoarding much like in our in our lives where we wanted the big house with all the bling all is stephan and now we've moved into era in our lives. We're talking about marie honda in getting rid of stuff in tiny homes. We're going going through the same transformation data. You don't need to hoard it because when you don't need it to you it creates more liability than you probably really wanna. Take on in in three. You only want the piece of information. That's going to help you make the best decision for your for your customer to deliver the good or service. They are paying you four. That's what you want and that's what z. KP provides and i guess also this knowledge prove will also enable organizations funds to be able to exchange information between themselves across jurisdiction and whilst remaining legal legally and regulatory compliant. I'm <music>. I'm assuming is gonna be the case. <hes> in nearly united for zero knowledge proof it has in order to be usable the verifier cross to believe that the statements true and the the result of the proof is accurate and they have to know that the holder hasn't altered information because sometimes in the real world. I think maybe some college kids may alter their driver's license in words by adult beverages. What sovereign removes the ability to make that alteration. Why it's the blockchain yes immutable ledger so so it does allow organizations to accept credentials to verify information now that they are absolutely accurate because of blockchain letcher effectively we're becoming custodian of our own ide- we hold all these forms of ideas but we cannot temporal them just like when i was applying for a loan you know i can't lie to the financial institution how much earning right on the fan you know i went through last year buying a home. <hes> <hes> which is always a challenging experience in here i am giving papers and documents tax records and the fact is the mortgage orange lender only needed a couple pieces information. They did not need to know all of my deductions. They did not need to know what organization nonprofit organizations innovations that gave donations to last year but you know what i handed them all of that information lily only strategically wanted certain bids so what c- KP it does in this case is in creates more efficient streamlined system exactly not let let let's talk about enterprises because they haven't tendency of collecting acting in hoarding a lot of personal data not in a cell suffering world. How will those accusations ability to hold onto that data will be determined by the the users themselves for example. What does it mean to their ability to build their business models if they can't enter data says because because they don't start him anymore because from what i understand in self-serving idea i can give you access to my data but only for a limited time basis so we can store it. How organizations be able to design new models if they don't have access to that data questions. Why do you want to store data that may not be accurate and i think we'll off to look into an inventory assessment of the data you need in what the shelf life is of it because you don't want to get data just to have data you want to to make sure you have accurate data to allow you to conduct a transaction in which your client or customer is going to provide you money or our information about themselves so the first thing is if anything a self sovereign identity provide you accurate information at the time of the transaction. I want to know information about my customer. Have they moved. Have they moved. Let's say on trying to provide hi to healthcare policy but i may not <hes> i mean to go to a different provider or a different network of physicians. How do i know that that client hasn't moved to another interstate worth car insurance. Do i know that they haven't moved to a state where car insurance costs more but they're hanging onto their old address to pay the lower premium and so is it that you want to have information or is it that you want to have accurate collect information to save it or is it that you want to have accurate information the time that you need it so you're getting you're charging them the right amount of money you're making the best decision based on where they are based on the information formation at hand so that's my talk about data. We have to get beyond this mindset of. I just need all the data to make the right decision. You need the accurate data at the timing need to make the decision announce where something like sovereign seamer knowledge proofs self sovereign identity allows you to the blockchain to make sure it is accurate at the time that you need it in any extra information. You don't need to hoard it because that just creates a security issue for you. Yeah i mean i completely agree and i think is going to be a challenge which some industries are now to face for example in the insurance industry. They have tens of your pricing. Ah risk using historical data last year's data instead of using real time data but i guess the positive trade off as you said you know you get real time information that gives you a better understanding of the risk but also it provides us an opportunity to to have a conversation with the end customer. Well the other part of this when you look at sovereign. It's not just about saying okay. You can't have old data you can in fact what's really great about out. Sovereign is i would be able to have access to show a new ensure that i have held auto policy. Since the time i was eighteen right you think about all different policies in the companies we've been through in. Why would i be able to share that because i would be able to ship crew of all those news coverage is over time in my own digital wallet in be able to provide that information or i may have bought a house sold it in ten years later. I'm going to buy another house. I would be able in my digital wallet to show proof that i bought a house in also. I had this particular homeowners.
