"Border Associated Press as agents used their weapons fifteen times last year compared to seventeen and twenty seventeen. It's because fewer illegal immigrants are coming across the border. You're never more than fifteen minutes away from today's top stories on Arizona's news station. KTAR news. Bruce St James and Pamela Hughes. So it really kind of struck think for a lot of people maybe a loss of innocence a bit of their childhood died when Luke Perry of nine oh, two one. Oh. Died after suffering a massive stroke last week. He died yesterday at the age of fifty two. And I think a lot of people were rightfully so count me is one of fifty two that seems kind of young I stroke. I understand that people die at young ages. But I thought of stroke as an old person thing. Yes, we wanted to dive into this a little bit more because we know we're not the only ones that thought that. So joining us right now on the KTAR newsmaker line is Cambria new oh suit. She is the stroke coordinator and stroke nurse navigator at Abrazos central campus in Phoenix, Cambridge. Thank you so much for joining us. Thank you for having me. Good morning. So was Luke Perry too young to have this kind of fatal stroke. The question is is he too young. Unfortunately, not we're seeing a lot more of the younger demographic having strokes. Unfortunately, even as young as twenty years old why? Well, a big part of it is just lifestyle. A lot of things that we can control such as high blood pressure diabetes. The way we eat high cholesterol symptoms like that it's just becoming more prominent in the younger demographic, especially the way we eat. That's a big part of it. And unfortunately, there is the stereotype that this is a older person. Yeah. We're expecting someone, you know over sixty five or older as their aging their baffles are getting weaker. And this is what may happen. But the biggest part of stroke, really is smoking and high blood pressure again, we're talking to the stroke coordinator, and stroke, nurse, navigator Abrazos. Central campus in Phoenix Cambria. No, wosa and. I guess you touched on I'll use the term. The the stereotype that we think stroke is something that happens to open my father died of a stroke in his seventies. And so that's when I hear stroke. That's what I think about you're seeing a lot of lifestyle has to do with it. I also if I understand it correctly. There is some especially when it comes to stroke. Family history. Plays a big role. It does a family history and just any history of yourself having issues in the past of say mini strokes. So but family history is a big part of it. So if you do have we're talking about in an immediate family member, like a father, a mother a sister, a brother if any of one of those family members have had issues with cardiovascular health or strokes. There is a Chaz. And it's not again, it's not high, but it it kinda should trigger something in you to kinda have a much healthier lifestyle. Cambria, you know, you talked about people might look for the signs of a stroke with individuals who are sixty five or older is something that happens to to folks as they age. But what should you be looking for in all people, you said that you know, you're starting to see this in some people's young as twenty and thirties. So so give our audience some. Hard steadfast rules. As to you start seeing these things don't explain it away. Correct. So for anyone no matter the age or demographic, there is true in fast, stroke warning signs. So we usually call us back background fast. F A S T the maims. If you see any facial drooping on either side of the face. That's not normal a is for armed dressed. So if you have someone lift their arms up, and they can't hold one of their arms up. That's the problem us for slurred speech. You're talking to someone then all of a sudden, they're speeches garbled and berry slurred kind of sound like they're drunk. Maybe that's an issue as well. And then t is time which means time to call nine one one. There's actually also other signs and symptoms that again, we're starting to see in the youngest population. Sudden headache that won't go away. Usually what we hear in the hospital. This is the worst headache of my life. Sudden dizziness sudden blindness. Things like that. That are sudden anything that's changeable like that. That's a that's a warning sign that you may be having a stroke. So the fastest thing to do we prefer you not to drive yourself to the hospital, but anything can happen, and you can also injure other people we want people to call nine one one. Yeah. By the way. Thank you so much for for your information on this. And thank you for helping us understand it a little bit more. That is a Cambria no woke SU who works over there at brazos central campus, a stroke nurse navigator and stroke coordinator. Because I think it's important you may recognize it and other people, but recognizing yourself you're going to you're going to feel with for my competitors before other people may notice it. But I don't know about you, Bruce, I have. I have the history of just kind of excusing things away. This isn't a big. I'm not on alarmist. Oh. Hypochondria? I'm not gonna go to the doctor. This isn't yesterday you had a headache. And for that talent. Oh my gosh. A headache? Just drink a coke and your headache. Go away. I had had a coke in like five six yards, Bruce. You're welcome. Yeah. But you know, I it's not a tumor if it would've lasted longer and longer. Yeah. I probably would have gotten a checked out. But I think that there's also I try to find the silver lining in life. And I think that there is a silver lining to the tragic death of Luke Perry. Okay. And I think that's silver lining is. We're talking about it talking about strokes and not just that because we've talked about stroke before we've talked about stroke symptoms before. I don't remember talking about it in young people fifty years old, right? You know, it's interesting say, you know, don't drive yourself when my father had.

"It's like eating more today, whereas he should be fasting. You're, you're actually going out of your way to shove more food down your throat. Yes. Let's let's get to these emails who are people in maybe not as dire situations as the ones we just described, but they need our quote, holy wisdom. Whoa, so let's call this guy Abraham nice. Hello, I find myself in a puzzling situation and an I need your holy wisdom. I'm twenty one year old dude who recently got himself his very first girlfriend. She's cute and smart and kind and shares the same interests as me. She's essentially the girl of my dreams and I can't wait to make things official to the world, but there's a bit of a problem through always is her Facebook photos suck Tokay on saying is because I know once we go official many of my friends and people I know from high school are going to be checking her out on social. Enter photos aren't great. They're either really bad angle or too old or low quality. The show her doing weird faces or something else that makes the photos not very attractive at all. There are few. Good ones, but they're buried under a pile of bad photos. I know this girl's cutest, fuck, and I want to show her off d'avray one, but I don't feel like these photos show her full potential. I hope she does. This doesn't make me an asshole, but it would be great if I can somehow have her put up. Some really nice picks before we go public. I'd even be willing to help out as I think my photography skills are dece. So my question is, how can I make my girlfriend put a better photos of herself on social media before we tell everyone about us without offending her and sounding like an asshole. Thanks a lot guys. Wow, what a roller coaster? It's tough. You wants to. It's half romantic. I just wanna share you with the world, but first you have to make yourself a little hotter on Facebook. Yeah, I want to scream your name from the rooftop. As long as you change your picks the pettiness. The shallow -ness of it. All undercuts the romance bit for me. Yeah, he's not really a Romeo. He's more of the tilted if you will. I don't. You know a lot about Shakespeare, I thought, yeah, I didn't read that the the most popular one. What was it the wrong Neo Rasi owned draws those. The one name that I had said Abrazos and who? Yes. Mayor de Blasios and Julia, and Julia and Julia? Yeah, I must have not seen that one. Well, what is I mean? The it feels like the answer is baked into the question. I just feel bad giving him the answer for free because you sort of dick Ling heard. Yeah, he's he's a bad guy about it. Yeah, because he knows that what he's thinking isn't nice because he doesn't even want to broach to her because he would feel like an asshole, which is how he's should feel when he's writing this to us. Yeah, because I mean, you shouldn't even care about the photos to begin with. I think it's kind of nice when somebody like doesn't have a meticulously curated social media presence hasn't s-. Yeah. What do you want like somebody with the headshots? Hi, rez photos, the multiple angles, the beautiful backdrops. Like I think I'd be more in Barrett about dating somebody that had that. So he says, can I do it without offending her or sounding like an asshole? It sounds like the answer is no. No, you can. Oh, he's a jested like taking photos himself and that is kind of what you have to do, you say, oh, let's take some photos together or can I practice my photography on? Yeah, or like, don't even make a thing. Just start taking photos hosting them up her like that you think are good, and then you tag them in her and then that'll be on her profile. Guys. Go out to the park one day like, oh, limited afforded. You look really cute. Click post it those line down one of the weird angle photos. I wonder who this. What strikes me as weird is how he's like, I have this girl, but my friends don't know better yet. He's going to debut her. Go public with. No, that was such a thing anymore. The idea of like telling everyone at once and having them look like, don't they know who this girl is, let alone before high school..

"Many business analysts believe that even if one step is omitted, the advertisement will fail. Lydia followed these steps to t, I getting the attention of the women. They were marketing to the pink. Kim's had already seen the success of catering their Adlon guage to their target demographic, and they took advantage of the common discourse about female fragility and hysteria one of their more sensational ads even claimed that a clergyman was killed by his wife after her years of female complaints had made her unstable. The ad claimed that only the vegetable compound could have treated her before it was too late. Lydia's ads boasted a medicine for women invented by a woman prepared by a woman. This gave Lydia a strong competitive edge by reinforcing the idea that only she a woman could understand the health issues of other women. The pink comes also played up the importance of motherhood, suggesting that a woman could only provide quad. Care to her family. If she remained in good health and overlap of interest and desire were at play here, women were interested in a product that finally addressed their specific needs and they desired the benefits that could improve their lives and by extension, the lives of their families. Tori Barnes Abrazos. A sociology professor at Cornell college has extensively studied pink, Kim's impact on women's health. She wrote quote, while the direct message is to buy the vegetable compound. The text reminds women that being a mother is a joyous endeavor. One dependent on her own health and such as these not only reinforce standards of mothering. They also point to the commercialization of women's health. Another author Sammy are Danna wrote quote, Lydia, never pretended to be a doctor instead asserting that she knew more about women's ailments because she was. A woman she relied on anecdotes, we'll rather than statistical evidence to back up her claims and quote, this drove women to take action to try the product themselves and to write to Lydia to share their experiences. Testimonials became a huge part of Lydia's marketing campaign, allowing the product speak for myself through its happy users. Many testimonials.
