medical impacts of ending roe V wade are well known but the impact on corporate America could be significant Todd frankel has more on this from The Washington Post and spoke with Taylor van seiss Todd multinational and cross state businesses really rely on consistent federal laws to help him implement consistent policies for the workforce What kind of a logistical problem would overturning roe present to American businesses It would present a mismatch of abortion laws across the country and for seeing that play out with a restrictive abortion law that Texas implemented last year And that that led major corporations Like Amazon and Apple to say hey if you are a worker of ours in the state of Texas we will pay to fly you out so you can have reproductive health services that you need which is kind of a strange thing for a company to do And if rogue is actually overturned we'll see that expand nationwide were a huge swath of the country Have a different level of care than the rest of the country It's not a good situation for corporate America Could this impact future investment in some states and by that our business is likely to be swayed by the demands of their workers when they expand Yes you know we saw this play out in states like Indiana when they passed a law that some said give you to discriminate against gays and lesbians And companies said like Salesforce said we're not going to invest there other companies said the same And so we actually watered down the law and Indiana And we could see the same thing with Texas and certain states like Missouri decide to ban abortion in those states Companies could say you know what That's not a good environment for us Companies are being pushed more and more to take positions on these social issues that affect their work that affect their customers that affect their shareholders And so this could play out in ways that I don't think anyone's really sort of sorted out yet Well that's right because if we remember the Black Lives Matter marches or even the January 6th attack companies because of their employees or their customers they had to take a side For the sake of those people are they going to have to pick a side on abortion now There'll be a lot of pressure right I mean it's going to be very hard for companies to sort of say we support our workers We support women We support equity in the workplace and to not speak out or have a position on this really hot topic And you're going to have it from both sides right So a company that says we're going to fly employees out of the state which is kind of the crazy notion so that they can get an abortion They're going to have pushback maybe from conservative employees who say you know this is an end around a state law I don't agree that we should be spending funds on this And it's really something that I think a corporate America doesn't really want to have anything to do with this topic but very hard time avoiding it It's going to be "Hit one eighty eight with the cubs to fifty year before two thirty eight the year before so to fifty three during his time in washington but all the way up to three forty nine so far with the red sox so he has been a fantastic edition for boston at the deadline. Next on the list. I have jorges oh layer with the atlanta braves. I mean the outfield editions in atlanta have gone very very well for them after they lost. Ronaldo kunia but just looking at jorges so layer. I mean during his time in kansas city this year in ninety four games he was sitting one ninety two with a two eighty eight on base percentage. He had thirteen home. Runs in ninety four games thirty seven rb swell. What he's done in atlanta has been extraordinary. I mean only twenty five games. He's got seven home runs so seven home runs in twenty five games for fifteen. Rbi's and thirteen for thirty seven in ninety four games in kansas city. it's certainly been rejuvenating. I so layer. During his time in atlanta he hit one ninety two in kansas city. He's hitting two eighty three in atlanta on base percentages. Three ninety six against strikeouts to walks. He's walked eighteen times to twenty one strikeouts well in kansas city. He had thirty eight walks in ninety. Seven strikeouts so the guy isn't chasing out of the zone hitting balls hardee's hitting for power extra-base hits. He's been everything they could've asked for. And more so far down there in atlanta the next guy on the list is a bit of a surprise tyler anderson he's been very good for the seattle mariners since his trade over from pittsburgh he's started six games for them and he's pitched to a three one eight. Era now again. That's about as good as you can expect from tyler anderson. In pittsburgh he was five and eight with a four three five and as a number four or five starter. You're thinking to yourself. Hey that's pretty good too so to throw two three one eight. Era in six starts is just fantastic. He has a one in one record for the mariners but they couldn't have asked for more after adding him earlier at the deadline. Speaking of the mariners. You have abraham toro who they added from the houston astros in a couple of deals so touro for the mariners have been has been very good as well offensively and twenty twenty one his time with houston. He hit two eleven in thirty. Five games nine walks. Twenty-one strike out six home runs well in thirty games first seattle. He's got three home runs twelve rbi's and he is sitting three thirteen so his average is up. One hundred points during his time with the mariners on base percentage. It three eighty eight once again. Strikeouts walks have gotten much better. Eleven walks to fourteen strikeouts compared to nine and twenty one during his time in houston he is thirty six for one fifteen so far so he looks very good he. He may be the third baseman for seattle in the post. Kyle seager era as again. He has been a fantastic move for the mariners. So those two deal certainly working out for them out there. In seattle on the flip side of the mariners. You have kendo grave men now with houston their relief pitcher now. He's been good in both spots. This is one where. I certainly can't complain. He maybe it was even better in seattle but he has been excellent for houston. He was four no in seattle with a point eight two well during his time in houston he has one and with the one point five zero. He's allowed two earned runs in twelve innings. He hasn't allowed a long ball yet. He's got fourteen strikeouts to one walk during his time in houston so he continues to pound the zone and be on an absolute tear this year and houston has fortified that bullpen and put them squarely in the conversation of being a team. That can win the american league and represent that conference in the world series now to our top four at number four. I have trade turner. He's been excellent during his time. For the dodgers now with washington. He was very good as well. He hit three twenty. Two eighteen home runs forty. Nine rb is in ninety six games. Well he's picked up re left off in l. a. Twenty one games in three twenty five up from three twenty two is on. base percentage is pretty much identical. he's got Let's see here to home. Run seven rb is. He's got five stolen bases in twenty one games already for the dodgers. So he's been fantastic at the top of the lineup there. He's provided that dynamic leadoff hitter that they've been missing in la. Since mookie. betts went down. He has been very very good out there for the dodgers and number three. I got startling. Marty for the oakland ace. I mean this guy. What he's doing on the base paths is unbelievable. Twenty to steal stirring his time in miami in sixty three games while in twenty eight games in oakland. he's already got twenty steals. He has yet to be caught stealing a base. He is twenty four twenty during his time in oakland. Absolutely fascinating on the year. He is forty to forty five in stolen bases. Just awesome to watch. He hit three. Oh six in miami. While he's sitting three forty two during his time in oakland he had seven home runs in sixty three games. He's got to in twenty eight games fourteen. Rbi's compared to twenty five during his time in miami. So not only has he been good offensively at the dish but he has been excellent on the base pasco and twenty for twenty and stolen bases during his time with the ace and number two. I have chris. Bryant's he certainly seems to be rejuvenated. Out there and san francisco. He hit two sixty seven with the cubs. He sitting to sixty eight so far with the giants on base percentage of three eighteen. He's got three stolen bases already in twenty two games he has. Let's see here. Six home runs and twenty. Two games for thirteen. Rb is and again it. Looks like he is He's back on top right. he's six home runs. This month and august surpasses total and his final forty games with the cubs so he had five in his final forty and he's got six already in twenty two games with the dodgers so he's been much healthier and he's recorded eleven barrels hitting the ball in the sweet spot which is tied for fifth most and major league baseball since the start of august and ben a great move there for the giants as they continue to lead the nfl west but number one on the list. I gotta go with max scherzer. He has been absolutely lights out. Since going over to the dodgers he was very good in washington. Don't get me wrong. He was eight four with a two seven six era in one hundred and eleven innings well with the dodgers he is four and five starts with a one five five he ra. He is allowed five. Earned runs in twenty nine innings. He's got forty one strikeouts in those twenty nine innings to only five walks. He has certainly been as advertised. He has been the best starter potentially in all of baseball since the deadline. So you as padres fans out there thinking you were getting servicer now seeing him absolutely dominate further dodgers that has to be a tough pill to swallow but the dodgers man again four. No and five starts to a one five five. Era that's certainly looks like the top move of the deadline and asked to put the dodgers at the top of the conversation when it comes to world series favorites with him in trade turner. But was there anybody out there. I missed anybody you would add to this list. Let me know in the comments. Check us out on social media. Dm me on twitter. Who did i leave out. I'd love to hear from you guys but we'll step aside one last time here for a word from one of our sponsors one of our sisters shows but when we come back. We're talking news notes. The pair also talk about using camera technology to improve swing mechanics down to the smallest detail the effects of intentionally hitting for power and what it was like to play behind chris. Sale fitzgerald also talks about how he sticks out a bit in the clubhouse with his statistical approach to the game and you spend a lot of time of course in clubhouses. How many of your teammates look at the stats. The same way you do. None of them. they think i'm crazy. I've tried to have conversations with them and then a few of them juvenile of them get it a few of them understand and you know they'll they'll come around eventually but I know i mean if you want to play the game at the way the front offices are looking at it. I think it's the best way to go is is looking at. "Sportstalk seven ninety three hundred shot. Saudi show james click and a little more than an hour astros win. Three enough lasts. Mccullers was electric last night in. What was a phenomenal atmosphere. Did you'd be hard pressed even find that In the post season and kudos to good dodger fans who showed up and made that atmosphere fantastic. And you know just to to those who didn't well most of us don't have time for you but you know what one of these days you'll grow up from being a little league parent to the cote two players on both teams you provide thrills and that's why you buy tickets that's why we go tickets to watch two teams loaded with great players who understand these moments and you'll get it again tonight with max scherzer taking the hill against jake literacy all right the garcia situation the bregman situation. I don't have a problem when it gets to grave and being here had to happen period. Yeah that's one now. I get john's point about his concerns. We've i i've thrown it out there. We have put our concerns out front. Steve sparks talked about it. Listen if you think that the soft tissue part of this is just going to be one hundred percent healed full go. Every time he pops out of the batter's box bregman. I mean you're going to french. A little nerve every time if he limps out of the bout or has to make a great play. Going into the whole it really. It's going to be concerned. We know he wants to play hell. He's a grinder and a competitor. So yes it has to be a concern. I get it. But when all is said and done and john makes a great point about the debt situation with the with the players and what happens if bregman continues or something else she goes down of course it. Who's gonna have the bigger impact on this just about to say that was my point when the season is over is good as taurel may end up being in seattle and he did some good things here and i hope he is lights phenomenal for them. When the season is over the grave. Men's impact we'll have far exceeded. Toro's yeah on this roster. I don't know about stats on this roster now. John's concern about depth and bregman. If you're concerned about bregman and twenty twenty one you ain't watching you should be concerned and you should. We gotta hope that nothing happens or some injury to one of the other cats like carlos or one of those god forbid and not getting any rest as you head down the stretch. Yeah there is a concern but my bigger concern eight say was bullpen. And now if this keeps up and you keep getting this. And i'm gonna tell you having a guy like graffman does it is. It's contagious to other guys in the bullpen. I'm just telling yet is standing because you come in behind him and he f- i like all the worries me about in matters. You don't wanna be the guy who let's team down now. You don't ever want to be that but when you sit and watch this cat you're like and it also has a major effect on the starting pitching staff. You heard mccullers talk about the guys this nasty. So there's no point time you're saying okay of grave up and i'm pitching i'm okay. We're gonna be just fine thank you. He'll get out of this jam. Get out of this thinning. He'll start fresh inning and bingo bango bongo. You'll be out of that inning for the most. He's been that good this year. He's been at times unhittable he just has and you're not scoring on the guy's phenomenal so as a guy who missed a great deal of it because of the covert situation so i get john's point because i'm with him on my concern about bregman and depth there but i got news for if the astros win the world series grave. Men will have had a much bigger impact in toro. We'll have had on this team. That's the way i feel. yeah graven. Is they needed him. More than anything. Like robo garcia star game last night. The astros win the game last night. They did three. Oh at the end of the day. They had to pay something to get rid of a player. James click talked by. They didn't wanna give abraham tour their prefer to keep him. But that was the cost of getting thing that was going to be more impact on your team and the biggest glaring need and you got to move past it. You can't sit there and worry about it because again. You've got the better player in the deal. Abraham toro is a good player. Kindergarten is a better player. More impactful player to this team and you saw it again last night. You've seen it twice. Since he's been here he's electric. He's everything they've been missing and in the postseason. You gotta have guys that you can count on to get out. And now they have maybe one of the best arms in baseball this season out of the bullpen. Go that they're gonna trust period of story. You got to move on from being worried. About abraham torah. Hopefully bregman comes back and rather than later. I would assume he's going to eat. Got back into his rehab last night. You're always going to be worse of it and you'll have to stop you. You'll be able to stop worrying about robo garcia and that's a mistake dash is gonna have to face in the off. Season is that they will have to remember that this the old years they could probably get by with this and go to the waiver market and pick up a player in this month of august. They can't do that now. They'll have to evaluate their death in terms of infield and outfield in the off season and address it properly because they've not done enough when they had to go from it. But you make the trade a million times and you do it again every single time and you know what i'm saying i'm with you and you know what i don't give a fuzzy rat's ass about right now twenty twenty two right now now. I could care less. I care about this great getting this done now. All address that. I'm not going chase a ghost borrow trouble. That troubles going to present. What i say trouble depth injuries contracts carreira. Getting more depth as you as you head around hit into the hot stove all right now. I got one concern. Well there's a couple of keeping people healthy but winning winning tonight and that's me and you talk about fans living in the moment we also as as i mean as a play. We meaning the players have to live in the moment to korea and this has been a big part of. It can't live into worrying about three hundred million dollars in february here january. He can't live in. And we fans this all. I care i don't give one. I could care less about free agency right. I honest i could care less. I know it lingers. What if we all start to linger on that we forget the job at hand and it's the double-whammy you lose lose a season. If i'm gonna lose somebody. Guess what i want to lose him to mc another ring on the finger right right sure you damn right to win ring again this year you had to. You just have to and then hey listen. There's little hope a little luck. A lot of skill that goes into this stuff and how to maneuver and manipulated. It's going to be tough. But i can tell you this. I think this was for for team. "Yeah you know which which reminds me that poor guy on on instagram. Who's telling everybody going to buy them all jerseys. They liked that post at the dodgers. Win the world series. He's gonna be out lots and lots of money. Yeah so much money. He does that every year and he does it with a different team. Every year. it's been the yankees was like yankees last year before. Actually yeah yeah well this year. I think he's really going to be in trouble. Because i have a feeling. The dodgers are probably gonna win the world series. It's pretty good chance. It just got better is what i'm saying. Okay so like you said well hold on. The blue jays picked up right. Handed pitchers jose barrios and brand hand The nationals like. We said they dumped salary. Sterling marseille and yang gums. Go to oakland. Lester goes saint louis. Schwaiger goes to boston. The mariners you're saying made some subtle moves which is true Diego castio moves from get. They got him from the race for a reliever in a prospect. He's ryan pitcher in case you didn't know those. Are you talking about earlier. Yeah that's right and you said he's not there anymore. Yeah i still. I still have kiara up. Let's see what is this area right now. The ego castio. Or does he like to something one. Seven two two seven two two seven two. Well and i'll i'll tell you this. Though he did blow save the other day he gave up a walk off home. Run to join hyme in the tenth inning against the rangers. So there's that but anyway okay. It's gone up now. Yeah they also get abraham toro and Joe smith cat subtle. So we've noticed. Those people are one thing. I i did laugh by joe smith as golly. I hope his pitching his as boring as his name. First off and has been. He has gone three innings. Not giving up a hit or a run or walk. So that's been outstanding. Um your that's pretty good. This was a big deal for mariners. Fans trading away kendall raven rafael montero. People don't want him gone for awhile. He's been terrible..

"For abraham to our hope becomes Becomes the everyday guy and kicks ass and does his thing. If you're going to get rid of graven that probably a good idea to homers yesterday. And we'll see what happens with joe smith there but i just it was a gift is to put it lightly you like i look to their. Who's the next name in the trade toro and there was no prospect expert. And yeah yeah somebody else coming down. Despite he knows technically a rental side the i don't think the price tag would have been too much morphine had a gm that was more competent. But i shouldn't say toro still technically. He's not a prophet. He's kind of a prospect 'cause he hadn't played but he's got a bunch years control but not mean you gave up nothing so it's a good way to get started. I don't believe they're done. Especially with all those prospects still sitting there and not have to get this just me. We'll talk to james. Click today i you know. Maybe there's something bigger out there but this if you did nothing else you did better yesterday. I'll give you a spoiler james clerk. Yesterday in his comments after the trade hinted that they are not done at the dead. I i will hear his comments today. But you know in a smattering of just kind of here on a few things and see in a few comments throughout i. It didn't feel like he's done didn't feel like on here. He was done and knowing that they still have prospects and they didn't they didn't have to give those assets in this gig. I don't i don't believe they're done now. I don't know where they're going. I don't think any of us do. We can speculate but to get Grades men like they did had like. I said it's a win regardless of what happens next whether they do anything or not. I'd walk out here so okay. You improve your roster. And if that's the that's the whole key at the all-star break our all star trade deadline to do everything you possibly can't get better and when the when a player you've moved. Who's a veteran in. This league. Admits that you got better by getting rid of him. And abraham toro and added graven and monteiro but grave. And obviously the whole key piece in this tells you that even the players themselves are like. I'll bet you the the players. I didn't see any reaction from an astros player. Not named Kennel grave yesterday current. But i gotta believe that this group has fired up. Oh yeah they they are always. Oh yeah you're always. It's always a bummer. To see because he took he got the win the other night when the on monday night but against the astros. But it's always a bummer. To see buddies..

"The bill quarterback time. French very dais. Is this sean salisbury show. Welcome in on a wednesday good to be with you. Good news on a lot of fronts heavy. Tmc here We got we talked about yesterday and what happened on monday night. The that would heighten the urgency. I believe whether it did or not. It feels like i did Them to jump on something. I'd have to wait till friday. Meaning astros and they did just that by trading joe smith and abraham toro who by the way homer last night as new uniform. We see that happen. At times for kindle grave men one of the best now closers in baseball missed some time this year with cove it but has been lights out and rafael montero so you get some bullpen help and they asked us also go on and win although it got a little ugly at the end with ryan press which we don't see that very often good morning gentleman when i got this news yesterday. I thought i called a couple of my baseball buddies laughter every night. Obviously no graven but wonder how popular he is. And you found out how popular is in seattle's clubhouse guys in tears and not want him to go we get him And it gives you options galore with great men whether it's in the closer role or the setup role and dusty said we'll hear from him and james click as well and we'll hear live from james click today at nine thirty dusty said we can use him in a role in the closer role and for now that presley still the closer so there you go great depth with a guy who's got a whip. Oh seven zero and his four no with a below one. Era and he's been really really good in thirty games this year and we got him. This is a good get guys. Welcome i know you guys should be ecstatic. I know i was. And this is two arms one. In particular for now that gives you an incredible versatility in that bullpen. Yeah the montero part of it. Yeah they're going to tell you that they're looking for him. I'd not worried about that aspect of it's all great man. This is exactly what they needed. This is what we talked about him earlier in the year. And you know when the mariners turn things around like did. I hadn't brought him up or even put them on. My stuff on the web is going to be available. Actually he was going to be available because they've played better baseball. But jerry dipoto doing god knows what their other than hand the astros. A gift has the profile to be a late inning guy. I mean his career. Tracker doesn't scream. Go my god. This guy's an incredible but we saw him last season. "The other night kendall grave men that closer for the mariners goes to the astros abraham toro among others goes to the mariners and we already saw an interesting back and forth with that graven was in tears discussing in being traded. We'll see where that leads us. I am seen to many trades that look like bad in all my time also bad news for the nationals on a couple fronts number one stephen strasburg who is still a great pitcher but has trouble stan how they will be out for the season he's going to need neck surgery lease gives some closure to the nationals on his status for the rest of the year and equally bad news trade turner. They're terrific shortstop had to be removed from the game last night because a coveted positive test. Now we'll see where that leads. And the brewers best player when he's right christian yelich he of course was removed from he did not play last night because of a covert concerned also also off the field. The administrative a leave has been extended for dodgers pitcher. Trevor bauer through august six. Just another reminder that it's possible picture the dodgers or anyone the rest of the year. We're going to have to see how the legal process plays out there and staying in the national league west. The giants beat the dodgers last night. Two to one and if anyone asks one more time are the giants for real. Of course they are. They're going to the playoffs. And now you have to give them every chance in the world to win that division because of the way they pitch and the way they hit the ball out of the ballpark. Okay there were some great important games last night. Let's get rate to the highlights. The giants beat the dodgers two-to-one buster posey's scored the go ahead run on an error. By cody bellinger. Who was playing his first game of the season at first bates swaying the bouncer over the mt hood softly near second base. It's picked up by muncie florida. I for the now. They've got the rundown this over the head. Posey at come around third and benadryl through the third and he sailed it over the head of the third baseman. "Major trade breaks all right. That will do it for today. Just a few follow ups before we go all those nice things we said about joey votto on this episode. That was before he hit two home. Runs on tuesday so those stats have now bounce back even more. The man is on fire. Also there were more mariners. Developments ryan davis wrote a really wild story for the seattle times which i will link to on the show page all about the mariners reactions to that trade. People were crying. People were furious. People were feeling betrayed. Are you bleeping kidding. Me says one player never changes. They don't care about winning how to trade him and say you care about winning and you trade him to houston. Never changes sources said equipment was broken and smashed while one player went absolutely mad. He hasn't come down here. A player set of dipoto. He sits up in his suite playing fantasy baseball and rips apart. Our team without telling us anything. I've seen a lot of teammates. Walk out that door. But this one hurts. Most is the most expletive up. The team deserves an explanation. It goes on from there then. The game started in the astros. One eight two six. Although abraham toro hit a run it probably should not have been a home run. It was off. Kyle tucker's glove and over the fence but it counts as a home run and i saw a great fun fact from espn stats and info. Abraham toro homered for the astros against the mariners on monday he was traded to seattle on tuesday and proceeded to homer for the mariners against the astros. He's the first player in. Mlb history to homer for and against a single team on consecutive days. Most happy this trait happened just to give us that fun. Fact and for what it's worth dipoto backed up his vow to make more moves by trading for tyler anderson so it was not in the end the phillies who landed him it. Was the mariners sending a couple of prospects to pittsburgh for the left handed starter. So we'll see whether that modifies any of the mariners it's funny this sort of outrages why you probably don't want active players making moves for the team. They get attached to their teammates. And maybe they don't take the long view but sometimes there's something to be said for the short view to and at the very least it seems like dipoto didn't break this news to the team in the best way or anyway and you'd think he'd have a better understanding of how that would have been received in the clubhouse given that he was once a player himself there is also a minor yankees trade they dealt we sessa and justin wilson a pair relievers to the reds. Which seems like. It's probably a little bit of forty man in payroll clearing in preparation for further moves and probably additions in the days to come wilson and sesa- by the way have now been traded for each other and with each other in separate transactions. Less time we entered a listener email about the idea of baseball equivalent to pulling the goalie. The suggestion was that if a home team was trailing in the ninth. Let's say than in the top of the ninth. That team could pull a fielder from the field and in exchange get an extra out in the bottom of the inning and maybe depending on the fielder you pulled maybe you get a different count on the batter in that extra out a few variations were discussed but generally the idea was giving up something to get something the way that hockey teams do when they pulled the goalie to get an extra attacker and lamented that there weren't more examples of losing something to get something in baseball. But there were a couple of good discussion threads about this in the facebook group and people pointed out that there are some analogues. They're not exactly the same. But if you sacrifice bunt for instance. You're giving up an out to advance a base runner. If you issue an intentional walk. You're allowing a base runner but getting to face a weaker batter. Maybe a few pinch hit for starter. You're gaining some offense. And maybe you're losing something defensively or i think maybe best comp is that if you try some extreme shift foremen outfield or a five-man infield than you're giving up some real estate in one spot because you think it'll help you in the other spot so there are some similarities. There i still kinda like the pulling a filter and getting an extra idea. It's a little more bold than dramatic like having an empty net on the ice but good discussions as they're often are in our facebook group which you can find by the way at facebook dot com slash groups such effectively wild on the subject of cycles. Which we've discussed few times lately. Dzhokay from herndon. Virginia wrote into say your discussion on friday's episode. About what would happen. If a batter a home but tried to stop at third to get a triple to complete the cycle reminded me of an infamous moment in the nba involving journeyman shooting. Guard bob sora. Searle was going for his third straight. Triple double double digits in three stat. Categories usually points rebounds assists for the atlanta hawks against the new jersey nets a feat that hasn't been achieved since grant hill seven years prior down to the final seconds. Sora was at double digit points and assists with nine rebounds when he found himself with a wide open layup. The buzzer neared intentionally missed the layup and grabbed the miss for his tenth. Rebound the outcry was so immediate and visceral that the nba ruled that since he wasn't attempting to make the layup it didn't count as a shot attempt. And therefore there was no rebound is line. Score was revised the twenty two points. Eleven assists and nine rebounds. All that is to say that. I imagine if someone did try to get mickey cycle the hot takes would force someone in. Mlb is for an office to find a way to negate it. Good point quite possible and bobby writes in to say regarding the alternate versions of the cycle. The most famous one. I've heard of is the lou. Pinella bad base running cycle. On april sixteenth nineteen seventy panella was thrown out at every base. It started with him reaching on an error to load the bases in. The top of the first next batter doubled drive in two runs. But pinella was gunned down at the plate to end the inning. He hit home run in the third inning. Thus avoiding getting thrown out at a base he singled to lead off the fifth and was forced out at second underground bowel in the seventh inning. Panella single then moved to third on a single. He was then picked off their base. Finally he came up in the ninth inning and grounded out to second baseman tommy harper according to the sabre article pinella was the first player to be thrown out at each base in a game in the game..

Do you know I don't either? No called third strike on your Don Alvarez, A two man almost 100. North Korea has had a good series. The 02 fastball got him in or half of the plate. He just frozen 99. Well, I'll tell you what that is just fantastic that ball jumping as the show man's hand. Whoa, baby Castro! Correa was raising his hands up out of the way and then he just like, Oh, my That's a heck of the pitch. I better go. Head to the head of the bench oil boy. So those bringing that walk rate down steadily. Those numbers that you mentioned in recent outings. That command has been better. No question about it. Confidence grows with success. One walk in 10 strikeouts and one hit his last seven and two thirds ground ball into the shifts. Act short the shortstop on the right field side of second fields and flips Kyle Tucker bounces out put on those 63 in the shift. Two outs. Ninth inning, and if Soto can work a quick ninth You would think he comes back out for the 10th. Well, it's the Tigers are going to win it. If need be okay? Abraham Toro takes a fastball above the strike zone. Tigers in the bottom of the ninth inning short Rogers Bedu. Whole knees bent bend slightly at the waist toward the plate from the right side swings and fouls. Slider back to the screen. Jim has just been so precise with his pitches. I mean, the fastball command is a little bit scattershot, and so is the slider command and completely one walk 10 strikeouts that he's on a roll. He feels good about his arsenal. We should 11 fastball is up and away two and one on Abraham tour who has struck out three times today. All against Terek Scoble, the starter twice on fastballs. One time a changeup. Really Castro shades up the middle at second base scope off the line at first, the wave making its way around America Park, the two ones bringing to foul out of play filling up the strike zone with 98 99. Let us change gears a little talk a little bit about on on baseball side of things and just inver lander clearly loves pitching in toronto another no hitter in toronto against the blue jays this ground ball occurred toro's man time justin bolander another point a hall of fame career so just a terrific scene in toronto and amazing to see canadian kind of in on the no hitter in toronto at abraham toro with an eight thousand eighty two run shot gave her land of the run support he needed he also made a really good play that you heard there in that clip and when the whole thing was over ver- landers basically shouting in where the f. is tara wear the and then any was over and gives him a big old hug so pretty special night for the houston astros tough night for the blue jays who struck at fourteen times against ver lander but <hes> obviously obviously for a lander is a big fan of pitching in toronto his second no hitter three in his career and not a lot of guys have hit that three career no hitter mark. I love the no hitter man. I don't care where it is who it is at any time not only that steve but but the the guy in the ninth inning the latter innings this guy was a movement on the guy because i watched the game the move on the guys pitch was incredible man incredible how much stinky kaput to put on it and i mean strikeouts were embarrassing the way that some of those guys struck out you know like i say somebody looked like they were. It was a throwback to. I and these guys were waving at it. You know it was credible. Pave credible performance man. I love the strike. It's almost as impressive as the no hitter itself but yet yeah third career no hitter for justin bieber ladder so good on him and <hes> well. It sucks to be the blue jays okay more to come in just a moment. I i want to remind everybody thirty. Lincoln.
