"Met with him yet? which I think is probably a little disconcerting to them Kelly Moore is going to stay as offensive coordinator but my sense is? He's not going to call the plays at something. Mike McCarthy always done he certainly certainly not going to turn his offense over to somebody who called plays once but did finish number one in the NFL based on yards but doesn't really know his system like he knew the one that was implemented or Scotland. Eoghan but I think he regards as a young promising very bright guy who has a lot to offer especially to the veteran coaching staff. I think he's assembling whether John Kitten remains I don't know I would probably lean lean toward keeping him but I'm not sure that there's a place for him on the coaching staff. So that'll be an interesting thing for him. Determine but one of the most interesting things he said you'll the interview was. I asked him about the transition that the office of players are going to have to make to a new system like all of these players have played in one system. They've all been in here with the exception. I guess a whitten Jason Witten who I've we don't know if he's returning or not None of them have played in any other system Jason Garrett Offensive System as modified by Scotland and Dan and last year killing more but he said you'll hear this IM- explain it but he said he wants to build on what they have. He doesn't want to just come in and junk what they have have and start all over with his system he wants to take what they have and merge with it with what he wants to do and build something off that that going forward so not a complete tear down start over project and he also talked about Dak Prescott. I know he said that he's he thinks he's capable. I love winning a super bowl as quarterback. He thinks he can potentially be a great quarterback. If I were him I would not try to take too much I to what they have after coming off eight I would. I would come in you. Take the talent. That's here but I would not feel bad at all about bringing being a lot of what he plans to bring. which is in? It's GonNa be fascinating and we were asking about the other day. We even talk Stephen about it. You'll hear our interview with Stephen Stephen Jones here in a little bit. How do you meld the West Coast offense with what they've been doing which was the old gym peasy a little? I mean it is a different thing. How do you meld those two or do you do a whole new thing okay? This is our chance now to hear Ed Order First and foremost of the Doomsday podcast but also of ESPN but he was doing this for ESPN. And here is is exclusive sitdown with Mike McCarthy The new head coach of the Dallas Cowboys and you talk talk about walking past the statues curly. Lambeau and Vince Lombardi. Now you're gonNA coach in a building with the statute Tom Landry outside. What kind of pressure comes with that? Well I think it's not the obvious you know this is history. Tradition is is very important. Both franchises and and I think it's something you you have to feel the responsibility and you're the steward of the psychotic franchise and with that It's just more of a focus in and make sure the organization is always represented the right way during the year. The you're fired and not coaching the packers. You stayed in Green Bay and you watch them. Acquire free agents. Who made a big difference and they went thirteen in in three? Your your way. How hard was that for you? Given the circumstances I think it's really the reality of being touched. Where where the team was that point in those decisions to to bring a free agents? He just didn't happen that day. I mean those talks that went on for quite some time so I mean I I think you just have to give him a lot of credit for. It made the moves that they needed to do. You need to make in this off on thirty. Two coaches have won super superbowls. None has won a super bowl two different teams. What makes you think this can happen here for you? I think in place and you know how you bring them together and how you're able to keep the consistency of of winning you know consistently the put yourself in position shouldn't make sure your team's ready for that playoff run so there's so much that goes into winning the super bowl and that's really where my time and energy is placed. It's just staying on top all the components honest and really bringing everybody together to make sure we stay on sale and of course the cowboys hired you. Because you're an experienced coach. You approve in winter. They think they have a team. They can go deep in the playoffs. What are your expectations? I mean really my expectations and make sure we stay focused on building the best ninety man roster we possibly can to make sure are are training camp in the off season programmers competitive as possible and there were sitting here You know at the end at the end making a bunch of hard decisions decisions for the fifty three hundred sixty three. That's really my expectations. Because there's a process that is that we have to build to get point and and then with that of start playing the real game saw I I get the rhetoric. I think it's I understand it enough. Fortunate been part of it for a long time but I've always I think it's important to keep the time and energy and focus on the process in Green Bay. There was no single owner. The president of the General Manager were pretty reclusive publicly. And so you were the dominant voice organization here. We're kind of at the other end of the spectrum. Jerry's a big presence. How different do you think that'll be for you? I'm just on a couple of days Adalah but it's it's breath the fresh air and Just really Jerry. And his whole family Just the energy that they bring to the to the workplace. Every day it's been awesome. How big a transition is it going to beef? That's a great question. I I think that's really what the interview process will bring light to. And you know as we as we go through the interviews and the direction moving forward because I do want to try to build off all the positive things already in place here so I I don't WanNa throw throw out the baby with the bathwater Among the take that approach I don't I don't think that's right approach so I do want to make sure if we can take advantage of. But it's not really I work with Joe Montana Brett right farve and Aaron Rodgers. What from those experiences to you do bring benefit Dak Prescott? other NBA stars high Gee mere otherwise there's a rookie out several more weeks with a groin injury never comfortable to have onion problems Darren Collison is considering and and be a return in February he wants to play the Lakers or clippers how convenient doesn't and as I like the pages everybody goes to the patriots now everybody goes to the Lakers the clippers how about this the Suns were down were they not down thirty they were getting absolutely whacked in the first half absolutely wag denote their down nine right now they were down thirty now they're down nine they were getting a lab and they're covering can you believe that I have to look I think I actually took him with the number do you think they'll cover is the question they were getting eleven I believe as I have a massive gambling problem I took a wait it was a Lakers minus eleven actually laid it I need a later discovers a bargain fair one oh nine ninety nine now the ten point game there you go they were up thirty now it's ten go figure in the NBA I see your boy Rubio leaving with a foot injury limping off the court late in the game now the guys always hurt I don't know what's going on here is this actually these are replay items highlights so right now it's one oh nine one oh one so they're still two minutes left in the sons and fought all the way back enjoyed you won the game and covered I had to double cover their money line spread charges twenty six fourteen I had or again until when they did not cover I went they laying three I think they were over Wisconsin and then is that right I think they were away Scott was was getting points there again two and a half of sweet double cover their Sheikh Adil and and then double cover with Alabama and then I lost the Minnesota game but I think I went on to six six into in the ball games today sorry Sir I got those two bats Ron and I'm sorry don't worry about me getting the six right let's just worry about the two I got wrong for the people to get all worked up and ladder it up about my pecs sorry sorry on the national Jamie Jim day the semi finals that I went eight and now sorry about that perfect day I had for you so I just wanted to evaluate a couple of things here were actually back on the air here on January first if you remember correctly mafia we started the network eight years ago we were the first show on the air at exactly midnight I think we started absolutely did not start at ten o'clock we started at midnight believe it or not that was when the network began do member that I do I was there that day so I did a two hour show that day with a year and then the next day for we started doing a four hour show so here we are again eight years running doing a show on new year's night thank you before we started really once you're like working tweaks out before the never kicked off that their issues and I remember the first we have like a practice couple shows before that you know words an hour or two and then screwed up in that report about set by time we hear the next night everything was change or doing a completely different because we worked everything out we figured it out so but we've been there since the beginning and then nine members founding fathers and then the and now here we are in year eight starting the year off with a bang with the first show and then is anybody else here was anybody here today doing shows or was everybody out hello everyone was out he said me pretty much there you go once again for all setting the standard to start the year off stepping out of my boundaries of two weeks off I could have stayed off forever you know what I mean like I was getting really used to doing nothing I was really good at it this professionally doing nothing and I was are you proud of that fact I enjoyed every minute of nothingness corn Roger fifteen years I practiced there's nothing I've been whether twenty years so you tell me I had five good years for you are the first couple you know you gotta earn that trust that respect you know your keeper still interested I thank you so forget it I don't locked in I'm sure now fifteen years of doing nothing thank you know one time when Andre Lakers up on the signs I cannot believe they blew a thirty point lead that is crazy to me and now they're not going to cover you know they're not going to govern at eleven right that is crazy how do you blow that lead you just lay down and tank that's retail so did you see the beautiful sky at the Rose Bowl tonight with that game is all pain can gorgeous cover I've never been to the Rose Bowl I I don't like the Rose Bowl why is that I got a problem with it through in college football so I don't like the rules of the road as well as ruling dollars Robert has does semifinal game should be today they should be in there and then the national semifinals should be new year's day I don't have a problem to be seventy one dollars okay so you believe that it's their fault the rose bowls vault well I don't believe it it's a fact it's their fault so even when it's like just the date I was talking about the beautiful pink sky above the bass vita that you also refused to cooperate with and here's another thing the game means nothing anymore unless a less every three years and that was a great game today who cares I enjoyed it I won I double.

"Not either listening to us out at night Pittsburgh at the Tanger outlets in at your belief fuzzy is working late painting the outlet food court tonight listening to us on the fan in the steel city. all happening I'll be all sorts of those on the ground all the time right they got it all going on your voice fuzzy out there working tonight late night in the steel city wondering if the Steelers will be the ravens on Sunday. and wondering if the penguins will open up with a home win tomorrow night against the Sabres and if sid Crosby I'll be able to go with all of his recent park off the flood at practice was a preseason game against buffalo wasn't that that a man. and now the plan again there you go I go against Crosby I don't know the deal if he's playing or whatever I know you got it and then I think they had more than that and other guys get injured to. Russ I think rust never sleeps got injured in that game. so not a good way we sought a guide tonight I told you cement he got one off the leg I mean that guy good name lock he's done it's funny because we were talking on the aisle seat about you know the amount is really to make any changes they have the same team that got a hundred three points right you know play the penguins in the first round and I'm looking at the other team's division I'm just. you know that so many changes but they make enough changes to overtake those teams that were the best in the division much like the caps the aisles the brands now the pens are the question mark because I know you a lot of penguin fans might have thought that like getting swept by the allies with the start of a maybe a decline for them right you know are they gonna be still in the mix with those yeah I don't you know I'm not a I have to see him play obviously games that count not these silly preseason games I had to see him play for a month to tell you if I think Diana soccer not I mean other than swat you know they swapped obviously got John York for castle right and you know a couple other smaller moves ban and whatever his name right right I don't believe in. I gotta be honest with you I I told you I'm not. I am I guess at a very small minority saying that I think let tanks best days are over and mall cans it beginning to show and you cannot deny last year it was terrible. I mean it does not look as I as as a career year for him as a bad year. right now I don't disagree with you because getting a watchman just in those four games alone those two guys were the biggest reason why they did not they had once lost that series was they weren't there for them but listen when you win back to back Stanley cups they could care less and I don't even care the guy goes through the motions so many nights yeah yeah I've seen him to skate like he's got like he might as well have a lollipop in his mouth and and let me tell you who's the flavor of the month right now and I think that we need to pump the brakes a little bit on him is everybody's all on Carolina because they went and you know went to the Eastern Conference finals last year. let's I think they have a really good and they have a good team but let's pump the brakes everybody's got him right when I'm division they get along really the last place you never know things change fast in the NHL yeah I don't I like their defense and that's it. right for me I like one or two other scores I hose awesome rows really player Nino Niederreiter Z. player too but you know that like you said their defensive driven team right. but now I want to see the Rangers tomorrow night at home I want to see the Aaron bread company and I want to see kako I want to see what they do kako wins a rookie of the year this year could be not but I did and you know actually I've been hearing this stuff about this get Hughes that like he's I got eyes in the back of his head they said like Gretzky I think they said he but he makes passes like Gradski that literally they're comparing him to fifteen years from now I think when you look back at the two of them because they're always gonna be compared Hughes will probably have the better career but I think that right now who's more ready to make an impact in the NHL I thank god because god is international yeah I just think kako will be the the better player you're one he's gonna be right. when for the rays tonight in Oakland that dont they destroyed the ace five want to move on to meet the Astros Ryan in Florida you're on CBS sports radio. Hey for al how are you all doing Hey man. okay so before I get to my question actually had two questions I think the celebration than going overboard with it you know this is because I I I think with their payroll and with a lot of players their names are really jump al in majority those players on that team you know net and they've never been in the playoffs so he could get that burst went over you know I just think that this is a huge thing for them but I think actually at you know carver high said a bass that every team does it it doesn't matter if they have a small payroll there every wild card game every divisions here everywhere in every every when they clinched the division they have a celebrations a matter for the rays of the socks or the Yankees are the Dodgers they all souls they all do it I just think it's silly whatever I you know I but I I'm not gonna stop it there's a lot of money involved in it like we said last night their sponsors listen I'm sure you're happy I get it the rays when and and that your team so your style I mean it is what it is market up I have a drink you know if I knew I'd party right now because your team of done in the division series it's a great win and they came out and stomped on and it is what it is so you know if I mean I would just go party. your try Kerr but I exams tomorrow well then you need to focus on and get straight a's what's the problem now I'm now it's all good what's your task in. I'm sorry what's your test in. it's anatomy and physiology Jesus what he had to be a doctor or something. no it's actually sports management I don't know why I'm taking the class it's a pre right class or those where do you go to school. it's the university of West Florida and Pensacola yeah I know it is so yeah so and what year you. I am a junior transfer our sophomore trains from sorry all right do you enjoy that. yeah I love it you know I've been doing. work with coca Cola for you know for five years and I feel like you know my main goal is to be a coach for baseball so this is you know I've gone back to school after I got married I I'd still like you know this is the right time to to get my goal and that's great did my mom Hey congrats on a raise when and keep up the good work and school right. I appreciate a man I'd see about a. Sir guy Ryan working on a little anatomy exam tomorrow. he studied the art of celebrating in the loop locker room there's some anatomy and there didn't have the light saber going last night I think the nationals were there rocking some light sabers yeah they had a lot going on there was something a little different in there Jamie in Oklahoma. so I am not a great ninety six World Series story right ninety six with special in New York and Wade Boggs wasn't even on the field when they one Charlie Hayes will quote the last outbreak in the lair right that no one remembers that I remember Hayes catch in the last out but I I just by John and Horace you just never forget it like it is age around as well party so here's what happened so we're in the stadium and let out way down low and the eighty to celebrate and and New York is we haven't won the World Series and seventy eight so it's a huge it's huge right so we had we buy them as police awesome way just going nuts and my friend Joey. elbows me in the ribs and he says what needs to be great if Bob so what this police also broke his neck. Charlie Yankee spoke about Wade Boggs regardless of what he did. actually what that's what went through his mind when he saw out of that that's pretty harsh. that's just pretty harsh yeah he's. Graham was that having come on what's next you want him to die. did you he said a widget involved other brokers an act. I judge I have ruthless listeners Hamley show I mean come on this is a loving and caring Christian family show trying to produce. certain family values of excellence and determination and confidence and and you know what instigation and let this is the thanks we get the craziest part about Wade Boggs is who's obviously hall of Famer all in all timer in in the Boston area right he did at the red Sox played you know eighty five percent of his career with the red Sox but there's two moments that he's known for our two of his biggest moments of his career the Yankees and noble one Yankees one raise right had a moment on the horse after winning his first World Series with the Yankees and his three thousandth hit was a Homer for the rays right. huge moments for him neither with the red Sox did he like check in every day I check in every day but I would check in is that what it is he was one of the most superstitious players in baseball is really say soleil every single day of his life he ate fried chicken I'd have to find out the exact quantity and how much each day but. it's crazy is. waits a man. the guy I wish they'd fallen out of doors and broken his national strong very very Ross satanic phone call and wish that on anybody around Jenny partying and that maybe like a bee in the movie right now. well then again. I'd be interested in St nine G. now I'm a fan of that hit I wanted to see I'd love to see that actually that we're not going to see it again because you but I can't get a job. because he's such a tool. I say can you believe that grave that guy diagrams of anyone to talk about it never mind hi Sam to get sick to my stomach that I should be electrocuted if I mention a guy's name ever they could give me like a garage door electrocution. a young.
