"Perfect I. got my new set up for you guys today cameras something. Yeah. Right. Look. You could see me really good. Can You? Jealous. Just, just in time for Michael's birthday gotTA. Look good for Michael's birthday. which there's a new camera. Is a new camera I'm using. Like, legit like murless Panasonic, Webcam like Oh. Okay. I got connected to. This the input device that goes to my computer, and then I got my I still got the USB Mike but that's the next upgrade. I mean I I will say I kind of like the soft focus of my computer Webcam. 'cause I feel less of compulsion to like put on makeup or whatever, and you know I am above all things quite lazy but you know I I already got Sam to spring for this Mike Stand. So maybe Who knows maybe we can get a little extra technology going I don't WanNa. Put it. You got the better audio me right now 'cause I'm looking in that in exile our X. L. R. X., L. Our cable going into your mic, which means that it's analog which means that sounds better than my digital Mike. And this is a this is primarily an audio show. So I mean you are you focused on the right thing whereas I I'm I, guess I'm vain and wanted to look good. Well I. Guess when it comes to my face, maybe I like to leave the watching more I. Don't know who I like that. We. Do this clip about Eric Trump's talking about v-shaped recovery. Gee The v that the British people do is that this one where it's like it means like Fu. This one. Here's my v-shaped recovery. Here you go. Take. That for your covers victory. Folks. So. Yeah. Noted economist Eric Trump appeared on Fox and friends today with the unenviable task of spinning these latest unemployment numbers to make it look a little bit rosier. We've got nearly a million new jobless claims. This week billions are under threat of addiction and. Pandemic is still killing people, but maybe you're just looking at it the wrong way. We've got a Fox News alert look number right there. The weekly jobless claims for first time unemployment is out and nine, hundred, sixty, three, thousand filed for unemployment benefits for the first time. Last week listen Saudi great number of Britain in the scheme of things it is a great number that's less than what experts predicted in the first time claims fell below a million in twenty one weeks about fifty seven million Americans have filed for unemployment since the pandemic started, that is the lowest number under a million since March let's bring in Eric Trump executive vice president for the trump organization and son of our president good. Morning Eric. Your morning guys can mornings. We're great. When you hear that that news, what are your thoughts? Well. Let's if you look at the last three months right and look at the last three months nine point three, million Americans went back to work. If you look at last month alone if you look at July right, one point eight, million jobs were created which blew away expectations and you look at. This month you look at the claim that you're talking about right now you know well under a million, which again blew away expectations. My father always said that you're GONNA have a v-shaped recovery and look at where the Dow Jones is right now Jones at twenty eight thousand right now look at where the Nasdaq is is all time highs. The Dow was literally a thousand points off of all time highs you what that means for. You know 401k's and pension plans and our economy in general our economies roaring back to life it is roaring back to life and we should all be very proud of that as Americans as much as. Mainstream media wants to ignore it. Guys. Well It's roaring folks you hear that so like I guess, let's talk about. A few different parts of this? So then we'll open it up to broader discussion. The jobs being created are largely good ones. I don't have the numbers in front of me. But I have seen new stories about Amazon going on a giant hiring spree like they don't care if the jobs are good jobs, they just WANNA force people to work for not enough wages with not enough safety but the stock market. Okay. You know maybe I'm homeless I can't pay my rent I can't afford to buy food but my 401k, which is money that I don't actually get to have for years and years that's doing great. Nothing nothing to see here folks, right. Yeah I mean. It's so aggravating it reminds me of the CNBC. segment from earlier of this was about an end of May Aaron Rob Andrew Ross, Sorkin, and Joe. Kernan get a a pretty heated argument because you'll kerns like the numbers are great. Andrew why you? Why are you telling everyone to panic? Yeah Yeah exactly and Andrews like well, people are dying and there's a tremendous amount of suffering. It's like and. I just want to play this habit here. Actually had we can look at WHO's I mean I don Andrew a circuit is exactly desa but I mean, we could see who side of the argument came out that what's happening. Coincident and I. For a while it was how can stocks be where they are because of oil prices? Remember that was your take. Then how can it be based on where interest rates are right now then it could be, how can stocks be and that was every single discussion you have over the weekend about how can stock prices be here when the economy is here right now it's going to be your earn just to be clear. It's because the Fed gave them trillions of dollars. That's that's why. Our database. CNBC CNBC doesn't really wanNA tell their explicitly say on broadcast here when the economy is here right now it's going to be your earnings, but you see how that probably isn't the. Right in your, we're going to have David Lebowitz on. He's going to say every client he talks to asking him how can the stock market be here? When everything else is. and. That's the question. And there are a lot of smart people who have that view. That the smart people they've they've been wrong for thirty five percent. Why are they smart just because they can see what's right in front of their knows that doesn't make them smart it makes. It all the way back onto drought savvy about jar. You Miss It. You Miss Joe you missed it a hundred percent on the way down and you missed the one, hundred, thousand deaths. So we can have this debate back and forth and you can try to to question the questions I'm asking but never including..

"Did noble I guess. Drop the turnover music to help them put together the sort. You've interlocking narrative of medical police. So you know you never know these collaborations. You never know who. You'RE GONNA be working with so Robin Christopher coming up right after this. I'm so happy to be joined by Chris Johnson and Rob Cordray the minds behind medical police. A new show on Netflix. spinoff off of Children's hospital two of the four months with four other minds but like you guys showed up involved with David Wayne and John Stern. They said we're not doing bad. The watch did you guys. I mean I question actually is. How did you come up with the logo for medical police because for people boom who haven't seen the show? It's obviously you did you get it tattooed on your sternum yet. Not yet not yet. I got big plans. It's really awesome. It's really good. It reminds me of this side. There's a rap group in the early two thousands called the diplomats that used to have like a really Awesome Eagle Logo. And I love the. Is it a Kadarshian. Is that what let's go or I don't even know nine millimeter. That read. Yeah you're never actually have to speak it out loud first time I've ever thought but I thought that the logo logo very much was the vibe of the show. It's like hell yeah jamming together to genres particular reason. How how long did we talk about? guns and whether there that was appropriate. Well Yeah I remember with our designer. We were on the skype and I pitched this idea and I assume we is some copyright over that and it turns out. It's a really old old. Yeah symbol. Yeah no fair. use very used to disgrace with automatic weapons too so I think it's the only place that really appropriate stays on comedy logos goes yes. Yeah no then. It was an endless discussion with the logo of how big the gun should be. Should they start as multiple guns and fan into one. Yeah yeah so it's time well spent so me tell me about the sort of the germ of the shelley. How did you guys come across? How started at the end of children's? Yeah yeah it was a long time coming as all spin offs. They sort of if I remember correctly like started as a joke. Almost like we always wanted to spend and we had a couple of other spinoffs before that started more as a joke like news. Readers was always sort of a joke to fun one. Yeah but but this was like this got very serious very fast in that we wanted to make show that was if you took all the comedy out of it. It was still going to be they were going to be a viable interesting compelling story yeah that was like the seed I believe. If I'm remembering this right seat of it. I think the main the main difference was I mean I came on late in the children's hospital run. I worked on season. Seven nine six do I have. I have history. was there since con myself. DC ALLERGY DO seasons together on children's hospital it was always like break and then come back and breaking we'd always break interminably long okay. Are we still doing okay. I guess we're doing it but I guess there's been some question about whether or not there was going to be season eight and you guys I remember. They were wrapping up season. Seven and and rob wrote the two part finale and felt like it was a series under frankly did it really kinda nailed the right the world but there was still this interest in in doing something more Christopher had moved to La and we our kids go to the same elementary school. What's but yeah? The challenge was take the sort of unique world of children's and take away the chance to a undo anything after fifteen minutes show. You know it's a quarter hour. Somebody could fall off a building everyone talks about how did they are. And then they're back the next shirt with this. This is one serialized serialised season of TV and so- actions have to have consequences. which was something as story tellers? We had to address sort of for the first time with children's and as rob said I never when we went into this I was never concerned about whether or not we could make it funny. I knew that they were funny. People involved in the actors were incredible. I wanted to make something that ideally as truly worked as a compelling story and and as a a season-long thriller and action as as well as comedy and I wasn't as worried about the comedy I just had never written anything like this and very much leaned on Christer. Who is I think the more if I may accomplished writer out of the four of us and Well I if only because is that's well actually I the tactic too and so yeah but Well it was funny. The best thing we did was realized very early on there were things we didn't know how to do to seek health and so before we even open the writer's room you know we spend a day with Craig Basin. Actually we just talk talk about how you structure story and how you match the story points with the emotional In relationship points and yeah it was. It was amazing incredibly valuable and we had we with him we mapped out the whole season. We were so happy to end of the day. Craig Mazin was like now of course and he points to the like huge board full of words and he goes now of course. This is all going to go away and you'll have something totally different and I was in a panic. I don't want any that to go away. Let's write it in stone right now. Yeah of course it all went away. Well we had before he showed up we were like this is the season and then he came in the middle of his. Did you guys a whole plot or a nuclear plant that melts down. And he's like this. He's a really good idea but by the end of the day with him. We're like okay. Now wow we now we really get it but then of course you know you bring in writers and suddenly the middle changes entirely sure and one of the very smart writers goes. Hey this whole whole thing doesn't work here. I was curious about is how does something not work on a show where you can kind of bend reality to your will. But that's the thing we mean didn't want could. Yeah but I just never wanted the show to be and this is our quote unquote traumatic moment. Or this is where we're just GONNA kind of make fun of the fact that this is a completely illogical and move on you know we. We really wanted it all to sink. So that was what brought the terror for me. I mean I remember. You took a picture of me at one point late in the race. He's just like I look like my dog died like he's mid-stroke. Because I was just like oh it all fails you know you get but then you figure out what's wrong and you tear it apart and it ends up being really satisfying and really fun fun. Yeah do that and like I think we did it till like we watch the whole show over again recently like the concept and it was like Oh my God. This is really really good like we really did what we set out to do. So did you guys. I mean it sounds like a silly question but did you guys like Watch other shows or will there were your foundational texts. I we referred to a lot of stuff as we were. Writing like night manager was a big. That was an original one. Justice sort of serialized thriller with complicated relationships. We were watching a lot of I mean we also deal in tropes obviously so washed a lot of Jack Ryan because I was coming out right. Yeah which is fun and also ridiculous. It's really kind of brought into stark relief. Some of the kind of seems in motifs in story points that a action in bold show wouldn't with traffic in which was great. I mean it's weird I I feel like with children's you guys especially in the later seasons work through almost every genre so there is a certain amount of adeptness at figuring out what the story beats our of an action. Yeah pretty quick. Yeah we we sort of thought ourselves ourselves children's was the job of children's to do like Not necessarily parodies of different genres but SORTA Maggio's and we love tropes and we had done and things like like medical police before but only in eleven minutes and fifteen seconds. Yeah so we were really into. We're really into the genre aspect of it and this. This was a challenge in that it was just one John NRA for ten episodes. Half an hour sh- half an hour episodes. The difference. What I wanted to do was also have I mean? There's tons of comedy. There's some really good action that I think will surprise people And we have good twists and turns but I just wanted the moments moments that were dramatic to play dramatic. And they're not a ton of them because we are a comedy but there are moments when Erin Hayes. His character has a real fucking moment and she is. He's a creep actors for that moment. You're in that moment. And you believe it. And so finding ways to navigate those moments and not sell them short while all have avid feel in the end of peace generally consist. This is not a a knock on another netflix thing. But this show makes more sense than than six underground. Oh that piece of that but no I don't know how words New the new Michael Bay movie but it's it's in where they're dead right there. The movie itself is incredible. It is literally like there are things in it that are just like medical police. Words like Sudan Psych Kazakh. Grab and it was just like you know like and they'll just be jumping around the globe like that and you're like wait a second. Wow why how did they get to this. Fake Middle Eastern country. Yeah yeah from Berlin an still daytime and that was a trope definitely we just enjoyed much mission. Impossible like Each episode there's there's a set-piece in a new city because the plot obviously took them to that city and they've changed into appropriate closed for this gun battle. And if that is an in actual drama right it flies in our show. Yeah sure it's whatever we'll lean on or or you know if they can cheat at certain things than we're only happy to I imagine the the actors involved both Aaron Rob is the leads but just like bringing in Schwartzman to be the Goldfinch who is a guy like Massad fixer guy like his nationality is undetermined. But yeah some sort of multinational Espionage Fixer. Yeah he I mean he's amazing mazing in it and it's so funny because he was very resistant initially to do it because he he was like I just don't know like I. I WanNa get the voice right. I don't really know who this guy is. And he was legitimate. He wasn't playing like he's like a major motion picture. He was seriously rising. I really don't know if I can do this and we were like we promise you you can do this please. Commercial they showed up and the first day he changed his accent about thirty times in the makeup and then you just walked on set and just the does scenes in the same way that it asked for you guys to use different muscles in the writing of a deal like did did that Robin era and had to do different things on the show than I mean. Obviously it's physical physical acting but different things like emotionally on both. That's what they do. I I always called Aaron. On Children's she was my Swiss army knife like she could do anything absolutely anything and I can call on her to be a corkscrew or the stupid little toothpick Swiss army if you know and and so I know what either of them. They're both very versatile. And and also like love playing the tropes. Yeah I mean rob. Ubale is amazing comedic. Obviously and he's a great he's doing like An. Hbo Mini Series. Now he's doing really serious roles and Aaron like I had known her really just from children's and when I worked with her I I was just absolutely blown away. There's an episode called Children's Hospital that Jason Zukas actually wrote from season..

"The third of Eight N._F._l.. Preview shows. I'm your host Spencer Foster instead of having one co host over the course of two months. I decided to rotate hosts on almost weekly basis just to keep myself itself from getting bored one division a week for eight weeks and today is all about the N._F._C. North but before I recap the two thousand eighteen season for the N._f._C. North allow me to introduce a man with the voice almost as polished as mine. He admitted to me that he wants played in a NASCAR fantasy league. What thank you thank you thank you yes? Yes don't tell too many people but I was a fantasy auction NASCAR probably ten the fifteen years ago and I was really good at it. It was an optionally it was an auction Liyel earnhardt union. You could buy Dale Earnhardt Jr. Gordon everyone you wanted. You could buy the week per week and it was a lot of fun. Actually it was actually a lot of fun but I'm probably the one of the few people outside of the twelve of us. They played that can actually say that they played fantasy now. Yeah I never heard of it before. That's for sure if you were a nascar driver. Who would sponsor your greg probably monster energy drink? Oh okay all right. Do you do the zero kind or you all about those carbs and show I zero sugar. Only sugar makes me crash. You're a purist. That's right so you here to talk about the N._f._C. North today. I'M GONNA get into the two thousand eighteen recap so the N._F._C. North North was the Vikings Division to lose in two thousand eighteen. They were the favorites to win. They had just made it to the N._F._C. title game the year before they thought they were a Q._B.. Away from Super Bowl Bowl glory and they gave Kirk cousins a full guaranteed contract approve it but it was the Chicago Bears Khalil Mack and Matt Nagy that took the division with explosive plays in a terrorizing defense. It also did not hurt. They messed up Aaron Rodgers knee in week. One in the packers hobbled to a losing record. The lions is brought up the rear with six wins but hey at least you beat the Patriots in week three and my right lines congrats with that so greg we're going to start with last year's division Champs the Chicago bears and what Stadium A._M.. Do they play in Greg. They play in that very cold outdoor stadium soldier field that's right. I knew the answer to that. That's a popular one. I meant to look up why it's called soldier field. I didn't get to that but why is is that that's not a brand. That's not a advertising thing. I don't know what it's called. Still fielding probably based off a former owner player is going to be something like that and they just haven't sold out yet. You know like Gillette and you know the Mercedes Benz superdome or Green Bay packers in this division. They're still sticking steady. I would sell out in a minute. Oh you want to buy advertising space on my car. My shirt my face to face to let go ahead so the Chicago bears. How did their off-season go? I would say one of their biggest losses would be vic VIC FANGIO's Fangio Fangio. He went to Denver Great. He's gone but they bring in a guy. Hold ahead of here. Did I lose it. Yes they brought in Ghana. Oh Yes yes they brought him for Ghana of Indianapolis Fame so they brought him in. He's going to come in and take over that defense with Khalil Mack there. That defense was was great last year so there's not not a whole lot he needs to do except just kind of keep it together. Don't ruin what's already there. In picano had a very good defensive track record before Indianapolis with the Baltimore Ravens. He took a year off from football. I love when those head coaches get back on the coordinator side of things they get back to doing what they love and what what ultimately won them a head coaching job yes so yes a lot of the times those always go to head coaches and you can see really great coordinator's not be great head coaches because it's completely a different skill set <hes> so yeah. I like him taking that you're off coming back again. He just has to keep that ship afloat because they carry that team right. They have to carry that team because the other side of the ball is not necessarily their strong. Hey they were that bad last year. Now Gregor's coming on but let's talk about some of their addition so the players they loft lost in the offseason. We're just kind of secondary pieces but they got ha ha Clinton Dix to replace Adrian Amos at safety. That's the name Aimar producers laughing at Clinton. Someone kid to write down that name because if you had a name draft in the N._F._l.. Heart Clinton Dix would be the number one overall. He's up there. All we could talk twenty minutes. Eh they added buster screen. WHO's a middling cornerback certainly play a lot of useful snaps for them I would they also traded Jordan Howard they did they try to Jordan Howard and they added Mike Davis from Seattle on the running back side they you did and <hes> they also drafted David Montgomery and yes yes of course and I mean so it? It's a crowded backfield even getting rid of Howard who was incredibly mediocre last year he was is I remember even I believe he had nine rushing touchdowns and steal. You were just never never impressed. He had a lot of touchdowns but just not a lot of anything else yet and didn't come off you saw a game and you never were impressed by anything he brought to the table and it almost seemed like he just did not fit into nagy system right. It really seem that in after one year now he's gone now got. It also seems that way that they all very similar yeah so they let him go. You're not dynamic enough. That's right. This offense is too good for you. You see this team ceiling. What do you see about this team's floor? What's the range so usually I base it on look at what three what Vegas has what does Vegas Vegas hasn't nine wins over and under I I do not see nine wins? Oh I do not I know that may be hypocritical or just a little odd to see after talking him up here for that defense but Green Bay's better the Lions or second year under Patricia Asia Vikings are still vikings. They haven't gotten worse that team did have a very easy schedule last year of look at their schedule this year and it's it's tough. They had a first place schedule changes changes everything and some of their hotter games they have at soldier field some of their teams. They could probably beat an outdoors like the New Orleans saints things like that the chargers bay come in October before the weather does anything anything so that advantage for that whole gone right everybody they played late in the season or are people that are used to the outdoors that Kansas City Green Bay Minnesota so it kind of takes away from the thing I don't. I don't see nine wins here. I I think I think I think eight is their absolute ceiling. Oh my goodness I really do this is division winter less division winner in Green Bay was without Aaron Rob Aaron Rodgers at least at his best and what they they finished with eleven wins. I believe last year the bears the bears eleven or twelve I believe in so I mean SA- Green Bay's back. That's automatically what split Oh boy we got. We got a lot to discuss because we we couldn't differ more the mayors. They're feeling as potentially being the best team in the N._F._C. as either sailing is thirteen three baby. I think trubisky trubisky had a good year last year. As much as we wanted to make fun of the year before Matt Nagy made a big big difference coming in and bringing that offense trubisky out over thirty touchdowns in just ten interceptions or something which was a big jump from the previous year and he's going to continue to develop I mean the kid was like twenty three years old. He was and he started off great. I will give give you that your shoulder. He hurt that shoulder and I will say in the last half of the season he had exactly one three hundred yard passing game one in the last eight games of the season right that is not great in the first eight games is the season he had. I think he had three okay so he regrets as the season went on. I believe now his his accuracy and his interceptions were were down so that's not that's not the issue. He is very smart with the ball. However however is it because he doesn't really have any playmakers? Either I mean we haven't said a word about their receivers because they're just not that good right Trey Burton at the tight end maybe their best receiver but he's still a tight end. <hes> the the Terry Cohen's probably probably their most dynamic player certainly is he small he doesn't. He's out on the field every time he's not there every down back. They drafted David Montgomery. We their first and second down back right so yes. Trubisky may not be a bad quarterback but he is not surrounded but he's he's probably in all of the N._F._C. North. He has the the worst surrounding cast and it's from running back to tidy and two receivers. He has the worst surrounding cast. I'll take Chicago's over Detroit's right now I will I will I will not now. I don't think the lines are going to be good but Golladay Marvin Jones Jones. Those three guys are better than anyone. That's should be catching the ball for Chicago. I The district's magazine Miller is coming out. Now they right. Somebody's always catch the ball so Allah Roberson still is going to be a great fantasy option but let's <music>. I'm pumping the brakes on the on the bears this year. Check that that schedule is really tough this year pump the brakes that someone else's catchphrase. Don't use that here. I've heard that another okay well man yes Chicago. I you know oh you talking about the offense and trubisky. They only got to get twenty. I think I mean that defense. I don't think it's going to miss a step honestly if they can get to twenty one twenty four. They're going to win. Most Games feel so we're differ there yeah but let's get to the fantasy aspect. Seven so Mitchell trubisky you were you taking him in fantasy drafts. Are you twelve twelve thirteen if you leave with him as you're starting quarterback. How do you feel if I get him round thirteen fourteen? I'm okay with it right. He does run. He does scramble. He's very accurate. He's not going to call you the game. He's probably not going to win you the game <hes> I would not feel comfortable somebody behind him. I say he's worth it for the upside. His ceiling is because he is still l.. What his third year in the League <hes> so just stealing is still there he is he's still growing? I still want to see what he doesn't second year under Nagy so I would definitely will maybe stash him right but let's let's grab all somebody else in that late round grab. Maybe Tom Brady. Tom Brady's going ten plus rounds. Tom Brady is being drafted very low. This year horse look so the A._D._p.. Is Tricky right now. The average draft position in draft so what I'm looking at I did this based on four point per passing touchdown half-point p._B._R.. All <music> All A._D._p.. Is based on a composite of a fantasy pros and they take from fan tracks Yahu and fancy football calculator okay. That's where I'm getting the A._D._p.. That I mentioned on this bod is from that composite now the people that are drafting in June and July they are not the casual fantasy football okay so these these eighty ps are from people that are paying attention three months before the season starts so I believe guys like Tom Brady. I believe those names names are going to start creeping up draft boards. They're going to start creeping up in the A._D._p.. But trubisky he was twelfth in points per game last year. He ran for thirty yards a game. Yes now three extra points. A game was running. That's great currently the quarterback twenty two in A._D._p.. In one quarterback leagues I Leela stupid value. Yes stupid value. I will agree with you there and in any to quarterback league. I'm going to be pleased as punch..

"Affiliates products available in every state Tampa Bay each one the Yankees now have fifteen straight games where they've hit and allowed a home run. The longest streak in the history of major league baseball. Yankee still a half game over the race for first in the AL. Chris plank, Arnie span you're back to you. Thanks. Steve Sager were coming to college World Series, just drop it in during the show. Man, we're coming to you live from the Geico Fox Sports radio studios where it's easy to say fifteen percent or more on car insurance with guy go. All you have to do is go to Geico dot com or call eight hundred nine four seven auto the only hard part figuring out which ways easier and yes, four runs in the bottom of the ninth inning tonight, Lee Mississippi State to a win over Auburn. So they advanced to the winner's bracket pain myself now is on the verge of going to end Q already. I, I will say this much, I know that you hate on anything that isn't mainstream. We're going to bring up OJ. That's not mainstream. I don't know about you guys. But I really wanna quit Twitter now that OJ is Thomas the million followers. What do I have to do? Don't answer that question when it comes to, but I will say there is going to be a play from this Auburn Mississippi State game. And I don't know if you're watching it to say or if the guys in the studio were watching it that will be replayed over and over and over. And it was when the third baseman from Auburn could've tagged the guy in front of him to end the game. He throws it to first air males. The throw and Mississippi State ties the game and eventually went it. So there's there's our update from Omaha somewhere in middle America. Tonight by the way, any real quick before we get to allow really good tweets on the show tonight. I noticed that. You had rob Parker on last night, who hates everything. So what was the reaction that you and Aaron rob came up when it came to the move for the Lakers to get Anthony Davis? He wasn't buying the whole Lakers are gonna win the championship pump the brakes type thing he got. Not sold on it, though, still, obviously, they're gonna make more moves. So I you know there who's going to be the third person already got three who will be the fourth person to join them, we'll make all the difference in the world. And they are the NBA favorites. I don't think that sunk in with a lot of people there, the three to one NBA favorites after that Milwaukee is six to one the clippers or six to one. So they're twice as good as everybody else there. At least what the odds of telling you, I'm but rob was kind of Papu in it to be honest, what were the raptors numbers at this time last year? I'd be curious to know where the Toronto Raptors worry you're ago, as far as that number is concerned. They weren't the bedding fit if they didn't have at this point last year. There's like the fifth or sixth favored like ten or twelve to one. So they're still getting no respect or that's was baby is going to leave. Let me let me get a couple of tweets in here. This is from Paul good to hear from the bills, mafia leader on Twitter. Of course, you can hit us up throughout the show Arnie's at stinky genius one amid plank show and everybody should be falling us at Fox Sports radio. Paul writes, I don't understand this trade for New Orleans. Lonzo ball has the worst shot in the league Ingram is a health hazard and they get the fourth pick in a three player draft. I think I would defend it for New Orleans with what Rick Cam legit said I do think that it's more than a three player draft. I think Jared colder has a potential to be really good. And I also did it could be dealing that fourth pick Arnie, and they basically control. If Ramona Shelburne report is correct about the next seven drafts for the Lakers where they could trade spots with them or they have their pick. So, I suggested that they trade up one to get RJ Barrett. Which is the National Progressive hero. You only have to go. From four to three the Knicks will say, okay, what the heck let's go and take a couple of extra first round picks. And and you know, I can't get any worse for them. So I thought that was a possibility. I was surprised that didn't think any of the three players that New Orleans, Scott was going to have, like a breakthrough type year that it was me. Lonzo ball, which I think is going to benefit from this may have a type year that we thought he would have back with the Lakers. That's a good point. That's a good point. Wow. I just said that, Mark the taste. Well, no. Because I agree. I just I started to fall a little bit for Lonzo ball last year. In a good way with the way that he was playing with LeBron. I thought to myself. Well, you know, they can just if they can keep him healthy and if LeBron stay healthy lookout, but again, I, I don't know how to put this and I'm not trying to, to be too melodramatic, but bro heaven, lavar ball out of town is the best thing that could happen. Wow. Shot that dude up and my and. Lakers will never ever ever gonna win it, you know that don't you? Right. And they were never ever ever going to lose with Lonzo all on the team. So I mean things lavar jersey down from the rafters. Magic johnson. Did you hear the other name? I aren't aren't keeps bringing up these points, guys who when you get mad at me for not getting enough tweets. He brings up these points. Remember, the Lakers punted on the ngelo Russell because they thought Lonzo is going to be the next guy. Now, all of a sudden, in the eight bazillion pile tasks, I've consumed in the last twenty four hours and the fifty thousand articles might dumbhead has read now talking about the Lakers might be looking at the Angelo Russell sale. Yeah. That should a sale. You can go back up and, and pick them back up again. I think that you've got to move on and going to different direction. I, I don't know if that's where you wanna go back there. Kyri goes, the Brooklyn, correct. Yeah. Oh, absolutely. Absolutely. This is the kyri goes to Brooklyn. And, and I think in my opinion, here's your pecking order one coup. Why I think they still make that call to do you? Call Kevin Durant, even though he might is going to be out the entire year next year and you just say, all right. We got LeBron. And we got eighty and we got coups Ma and we'll wait a year for Katie to get healthy. And then think about that combo whenever he does get healthy. Do you make that call Arnie? Well, by the way, I was just going to say this, I I'm not so sure about that. Because if your goal there'd be Golden State, Kevin Durant update on a one year deal pay him, the thirty five forty million the rehab, and then he bails on you wouldn't you say, no, no, no, no. They don't have to say you got to give us a four year extension or you, you might as well move on from this because we gotta pay you two hundred fifty million dollars. You're gonna miss your first year who knows. How you gonna come back from that injury? I'm not so sure. I mean if the punt on that, but that's the beautiful thing on a player option. The team doesn't really have an option. I don't think you know, Julius Randle tonight. Informed the pelicans that he's not going to opt in, so that gives them more money, but they also lose one of their foundational piece. I understand what you're saying. But to the question if you're the Lakers, and you'd think he's out there, even though he's going to have a quote unquote. Redshirt year is at a guy that you call. Or do you just kind of let that ship sail a little bit? I think I've got the biggest call anyway. Okay. So then you're pecking order is why, and then Kevin Durant, and then kyri, right? Is that you one through three that you call and then Jimmy Butler four whose fifth on that list? I don't know if I put quite number one, because I think there's zero chance at the Lakers are gonna get him. Really? I think of who you call and again, I, maybe you realize you're not gonna get him. But I'm pretty sure if the Dallas Cowboys head coach's job opened up, you're gonna call Bill Bella check or you're gonna call Nick Sabin because you want to go after the best if. You're looking for a third player to pair with Anthony Davis and LeBron James, you gotta shoot your shot. Right. So maybe this is just an in general pecking order to though, when it comes to free agency this year, you would put kyri number one, then is that what you're saying? Yeah, I mean, if we're going to go see Kevin Durant. I to go there, but if we're going to be realistic, I guess, guide, Kevin Durant going to go to the Lakers. Why not? I mean I mean why not they've got three for this year. You, you sign him to a long term deal, you're gonna have eighty to a long term deal as well to sit him out for a year. Let them rehab. Why not I two different scenarios? Why would I want him? He's not gonna play next year. And then the year after that who knows how he's gonna come back. That's could be two years wasted when you got LeBron there. So I gotta worry about the now in the future, if you're gonna play that game, maybe I'd make it for quite Thomson, not for okay? Maybe I'd do it for quite Thomson. I wouldn't argue with that. Jason McIntyre has reported many times now over the last two weeks on the big. Lead.

"Will they listen at what number six or seven on that list? I'm canceling my subscription to that. Exactly. Do it now. Right into second this second. Okay. Let's go to so you like Seattle. So chargers ravens. I almost. Everybody's talked me out of it. I think the chargers have the best players in the league. They didn't have their running backs first time around charges. No, no, Baltimore Ravens again at home. They're seven in one all time in the wildcard round Jim Harbaugh again another coach who once he gets in. He wins to know at home. I like this team they have identity they may do their quarterback fits them more than he's not. They're not gonna ask him to do anything outside of what we need you to do. Phillip does make mistakes. He makes mistakes. I mean, look at what they did to Philip rivers in that offense. Tim points kind understand. They didn't have their guys K. I this is this is my only courageous pick. Philadelphia upset you like Philly. Why do you look at me? That way is crazy. Is it crazy? You like it's not crazing Johnson. Jason Peters, Nick foles, golden Tate, alshon Jeffery Doug Peterson Fletcher Cox, Michael Bennett, I get nothing. But dudes I get good play. Bears. They don't have anybody Khalil Mack and a bunch of Bali. The bears don't have anybody. But they have a defense that you know, has really stifled quarterback this offense. I like their offices will op gun you think this offense can drop is that what you call. It pop. Pop gun airs you on this offense, Matt Nagy, coach, exactly. So you didn't mention a single player. I can't mention the player. I commission Taylor Gabriel. I miss Allen Robinson, mizzle Trubisky. I will mention him like you have to count to Rico. When you got here, you're smiling. As you say, the no, Mitch Trubisky scares, Mitch Trubisky. You can't he doesn't scare me alone. But with Matt Nagy understanding who he is in that whole be you mantra that he goes by. I love it. I love them together. Wow. So so you're what's that. Oh, no. We agree on the colts. And and I have everybody joy, I've never had a day. So so the only one the only game he also, I guess I've had today eleven disagreements one agreement you, and I agree and the colts we literally had so you're either going to be very right or very wrong. Wow. I'm going to shelled Monday. We're calling was wrong. A lot of that on Monday. Okay. Let me ask you this. Because you would know this better than anybody when Aaron. Rogers. I wanna talk about the jets job. When Aaron rob you were there when he came out of college. He had a weird throwing motion. Good athlete not world class. But good. I was there when he came out of college. But I was there the year after okay? So you saw the growth. Yes. So he had weird quirky rigid. Throwing motion had to be fixed came in socially, California, kid, little odd. He and farve didn't necessarily click a little bit of an ad Liber could be a little reckless. And all those years later might McCarthy gets no credit for developing Aaron Rodgers who was not close to a finished product Sam darnold, California, kid good ad liver. Little reckless kind of a weird elongated throwing motion McCarthy and the jets seems like such an obvious choice to me. Am I crazy? No. You're not crazy. I don't I like this simply because you he commands respect right out the gate. He understood he will have your most important players attention at all times. And why is that? Because of where he's where he's come from who he's coached in his accomplishments..

So when you're looking at a Sam darnold, you're young guy who you can pour into you don't want a young coach and a young guy. I like Mike McCarthy because he can he can pull from his experiences with Aaron Rodgers and Brett farve, and he can pull from even a Young Sam darnold and allow him to become who we want. Kevin Clarke from. The ringer came on earlier. We had a great line. He said what you don't want is a developing quarterback getting a developing coach you want a stay on like Andy Reid to Kansas City, then he can get Patrick Mahomes develop. We know who liked that. I liked that saving a lot you bring in Matt rule. You gotta developing quarterback in a developing NFL head coach, I'm not interested in that. No, not like McCarthy. I love McCarthy. I absolutely love McCarthy. I think my only knock on Mike McCarthy was his complacency when it comes to play calling you bad at it. Or didn't care. He wasn't bad. He wasn't a bad play. Caller, just when he got up on teams. He was very conservative very conservative any. He just didn't have that that could be generational. Chuck Knox mardi it is a little bit. That's the way there. Have to pair yourself when you know in self-assessment in this league is very important. If you know that that's who you are. You gotta bring in somebody on that staff that counters that that's going to challenge the play calling in the creativity and innovation that you put put out there..

"You're gonna you're gonna get the brunt of the criticism when the mistakes are made he owned up to a couple of misthrows in the post game press conference yesterday, but he had to do that more often than I can ever remember Steve. And and it's it's it's beyond just, you know, chemistry, and I think some in some instances. Yes. Maybe he had a receiver art on the same page. There are some rookies running around out there, but he's missing Randall Cobb. And he's missing guys that he has had a connection with over the years. So I think it is a little bit concerning. And I I don't think it skills are eroding. Just yet. I'm not willing to say that about Aaron robbed just because of the things I've seen him do, but he has to play closer to an MVP. Then Mr. Bisky, right? I mean, if you got outperformed by second year quarterback yesterday, just real quick before we go to break Trubisky. Now his second year. He is he the guy the bears needed in that position. But he's a good fit. And I think they've they've very smartly put a offense of mind around him. And that Nagy that that keeps things kind of easy when I watched the bears play offense. Steve what they're doing with fifty busy. That's sort of been the Packers offense with Brett Hundley last year. Exactly where where it's one read at. It's not. There you go. It's it's not overly complicated. Geyser skimmed. Open bread. Have good feet. Still does have good feet. Mitch has really good actually quite fast. So we can get out of you can buy some time and get out of trouble to create a probably late or or take it on his own. That's what the Packers off and sort of looked like last year with the backup quarterback. And it's it's relatively efficient right now in Chicago. He doesn't have to be incredible for the bears. The Wayne games they have a good back on that their defense and running game. But he's got to be good enough. Then and yesterday he was good enough. Greg Matt sixties pretty Monday morning quarterback presented by Pado Adamy hotel casino. Few minutes left. He can still way in for one four seven nine nine one six twenty the accurate mortgage, talk and text line after the break. Let's look ahead coaches decisions on personnel. Twenty nineteenth Packers. What they look like. That's next Virginia WTMJ hard to find a highlights from that game yesterday. There were a few and. Greg massey. Joining and Monday morning quarterback. All right. Gregg else got it from member our sponsors Parramatta me hotel casino. The great folks there, Greg. All right. So let's look at coaching Joe Philbin. Interim coach is he going to earn enough in the next two weeks to retain that Jabber. Are we gonna look at as a fan as a franchise going in a completely different direction? What do you think? Yeah. I think I I really don't think it'll be building job. It's just a gut feeling. You know, he was somewhat deflected when asked if you wanted to attack these next four weeks like it was a job like this. And I think that was more out of respect for Mike McCarthy than anything else. But I just feel like it's gonna be a different direction. I kind of feel like it needs to be. It's a similar offense of mind is Mike McCarthy, and it might be the time for an overall change there. All right. We talked a little bit about the draft. So we we mentioned the first round picks. But when you try to restock this team, I take encouragement from this. The bears had a horrific record the last couple of seasons. And now here they are winning the NFC north poisoned going to the playoffs. It doesn't take that much to flip the switch especially for team. Like the Packers have been used to success in the NFC north other than those first round picks where should the Packers beat directing their attention defense offense. Best players available. They always say that. Well, it it's true. I mean, but you're looking at a team that's got that has a variety of holds. And I think you. Hi, it's hard to predict. Right. I mean, we looked at the pool in December of twenty eighteen and say, well, they need this. And that those needs can change pretty dramatically by the time. August rolls around based upon injuries. Packers didn't need a receiver a few years ago. Then dirty got injured in the preseason game. And it was kind of a mess. So that that really is why the best player available mantra rolls around the NFL. But if you're looking from a free agent standpoint. Brian good was pretty active, but his free agents just didn't pan out terribly. Well, I I'd like to see Jimmy Graham in a different scheme. I think tight ends have a lot of work to do on the Packers current offensive system. So I'm not willing to say he's done. Just yet. But you know, Muhammad Wilkerson got injured at didn't really pan out the shod realize better pretty good pickup kind mid season. So it's always getting minutes when he played the free agent game. But I like GM who is gonna take some swings. If he misses on occasion that's going to happen. Nobody thousands interesting. That plan is not on the team could be the biggest story in this division. And the Packers is clear MAC that the inability to get him on your roster before the season only got about thirty seconds that decision at least that effort fell short that could be the the difference in twenty eighteen. Yeah, he's an amazing player. He really is. And he was pretty dominate yesterday at times, I think he's back. There are robbed is with his back at one time right towards the Packers into opportunities. But you know, back to the offensive line. I think there are some struggles in pass blocking the run blocking. I think it's been pretty good that you overall, especially given the rotation of bodies Aaron Jones, Jamal Williams. I think there there's some bright young running back there and some decent talent. But the overall death of the roster is what's concerning, and you know, point back to the draft twenty thirteen to twenty fifteen only three players currently playing Packers roster today. He has Greg Nazis fitting with you on Monday morning quarterback presented by Potter Wyoming hotel casino. Have a great day. Greg. All right. Take care. To over the Packer..

Pitching, you know I mean if he, continues to, throw the ball the way he. Could have been your number two in the playoffs realistically I. Mean there's always the could've I don't think that. That would, have been the twenty scoreless innings the guy was. Like eleven, three I think he figured it out he's. Got great stuff no, I disagree I think you could have been. A kidney guy I mean let me. Ask you this going in the players you know? David price pitch a good, game last game I guess you, know allows. Team Rodriguez on a hot streak away he's been pitching and. Price is okay you know you're so, so you wouldn't consider them I would absolutely, consider it but that's the and and Steve I'm not I'm not. Saying that it's not all the realm of possibility but as we sit, here right now if the season ended even. If. Rodriguez healthy he wouldn't be the number two starter and this is the problem I think this is the, problem that Steve that they have going forward which is you have. To, get. David price good you have to every, team that you go up against in that in, that playoff, in that, first round you're going to be the underdog in game two with a bachelor well okay named someone who. Is Gimme gimme one team, Aaron Rob's right because you need that number two is sales going to, trouble. Bauer I look bad Derek Cole I get your point guards, but. Here's the thing you got to remember in the playoffs setting, how deep is a starting pitcher going in game two six if he's on a roll, by if he's on a roll he's going as, long, beard, if you, get. "The planet this is pete mirrored director of the smithsonian migratory bird center ironically he says cats are second only to rats and maintaining feral cat colonies is a threat to local birds miracle authored a study of few years ago that found cats kill as many as four billion native birds each year in the u s cat advocates scoff at the study saying the number is so high it's not credible but mira says not only are cats bad for the ecosystem they don't really punt rats they're not a desire pray species but cats are famous rat killers right there is even a cartoon about it well here's another expert to burst that bubble i remember tom and jerry that was a mouse on the rare greg glass should know he spent thirty years at johns hopkins university studying rats he found that contrary to what you might expect thorough cats had no effect on the overall rat population of alleys in baltimore i think to some extent it reflects our own kind of biological ignorance in that yet cats are really quite good predators of small rooms huge alley rats not so much but programs using feral cats to combat rats are popping up all over the country and maybe that's because for some people it's not actually really about the rats here's aaron rob robinson who runs the bluecollar cats program in dc i mean i'm not really advertising and talking about reading control enemy meant because that's not my job my job is to find a good home again outcome for these cats dan how are you i checked in again with jan watts a few weeks after her cats were delivered so far they haven't won the war against rats here but there have been some victories actually i thought it was one of the biggest accomplishments of my life he was a came out novak dak and there was half of a rat's heart guess sitting on my deck as a present from the cats it was amazing if the cats aren't keeping all the rats away please convinced it's because there aren't enough of them she's working on her neighbors to it up more alley cats for npr news i'm jacob fencedin in washington hey yana thirty one year old chinese citizen was charged with securities fraud this week by the manhattan newish attorney's office mr janowski worked in a research lab it in.
