You just said she's the most doctor either jail or nine. Whatever the punishment is she needs to do the punishment but she has the opportunity to come back and do save. Lives having it if she can pass the test. She goes to jail lunchbox or they help or pass the test and be jail absolute jail. I don't care that she saved people. I don't care what she did. She broke the law. She posed as a doctor. She did something illegal. If i pose as a bank employee and i hand people money. That doesn't mean. I'm going to get away with no. I'm going to get thrown in jail. Because i broke into a bank employee. That's hard to go get a job. That's what i'm saying. You would get hired. She did not get hired she would. She was following doctor's around and just reading off their notes and learning how to do it and she wore a coat. I know she goes to jail. I don't care how many little johnny she save. Johnny visit her in prison to say. Thank you eddie. No look they do it to hackers all the time. Wow you're such a good. How and they come a white hat hands going to jail. You're gonna work for us and we're gonna hacked the hackers right doogie howser. He was what twelve years old he didn't have to go back to medical school graduations. Tv's so is the scenario. She's carrying some crazy z. That she can do that a private. You know practice building behind hop she can practice those solutions while she's in prison but she's got to be in prison guys like eddie doctor right. If this lady worked on your kid you would be going crazy. Buying for her right by the way she might have been dr. We don't know maybe she's just a really poor test taker. Oh well to be a doctor. You need to be a better test taker. Yes she goes she goes to jail. Show this story comes us from clearwater florida. A woman went into a dealership. I'm looking for a used car. And they shore. Yeah that one. Can i take it for a test drive. Just let me give you a copy of your driver's license. Take a copy of a driver's license. Go ahead she never comes back. Only problem is they have a copy of driver's license so lay down in a or. Why would you use your real driver's license. I would think if you're going to steal a car you would maybe have some sort of fake. Id guy you'd think or something other than just give them your or just grabbed the keys and run and jump in the car draw other than giving them your real identification right assuming crazy. People don't do things in their right mind. So what happens although one hundred down arrester and they find the car. I don't think now though they let you drive by yourself anymore. They always send someone with but maybe because a covert then maybe not allowed to. So that's why they took a copy of drivers. What about head. I'm watch box. That's your bonehead story today. Eddie do you watch the luke bryan documentary and i finished too. I didn't expect to finish. But i finish late last night so i haven't watched it. Guess i feel like i know. Look pretty well you know. Really do a lot. He's already the best man. You just root for a person like he just. I got so many emotions watching it. I i love that documentary. what are you give it. I don't want to give it a perfect one because it's still the production to me is still a little weak as a video guy. So it's not gonna be top notch. Five but i get a four and a half four and a half boom booms and so on amazon you can watch. Imdb channel yes. It's all part of amazon prime prime. It's free already and i think you have to. "The ideal customer for his product was the thousands of businesses all around america. It was music uninterrupted by flaky. Radio waves for an inexpensive monthly charge. It was cable tv but for radio long before cable. Tv was ever a thing. of course. The typical radio world grew and expanded quickly making georgia's invention less and less necessary but despite that they're always seem to be a need for reliable consistent always on music in certain types of businesses namely restaurants and hotels after all elevators. Weren't very friendly to radio. Waves but georgia's wired. Radio worked perfectly today. His invention is giving way to internet. Radio still sold by subscription and transmitted over cables like george envisioned a century ago but despite the product itself fading into the past. George owen squares. Just waiting to be discovered for european men of wealth in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Those wonders often seem during a trip known as the grand tour. The grand tour was a rite of passage for young men. Coming of age it would travel throughout europe and even into asia learning about art and music studying new language and doing brag worthy. Things like climbing the alps but it wasn't all academic in fact as the practice wore on it became more of a shopping trip than an educational expedition. Rich men from england and ireland would purchase artworks and objects from far away and bring them home to show off to their peers. This was how other cultures worked their way into european architectural styles and art movements. But the trips weren't just about material possessions. They were also about seeing things. You could only read about in books. Of course all good things must come to an end and grand tours usually lasted just a few months to a couple of years at the most but there was a path for those who wanted to extend their grand tours and spend their lives traveling the world taking new sites. They went into the priesthood. That was the path. Arthur o'leary took during the seventeen. Hundreds o'leary was born in seventeen twenty nine in county cork ireland. He came into the world during a difficult time for his country. A time when penal laws had been enacted against irish catholics and protestants goal had been to push them toward the church of ireland. These laws made living in the country. Difficult for a lot of people. O'leary took his leave. As soon as he was able and move to france he became a priest only preaching but writing on the topics of religion and politics as well for which he became. Well known he also gained notoriety for walking everywhere. he didn't take carriages or travel on horseback. O'leary traveled on foot as one writer. Put it. He used to walk from the convent of saint malo to the feats of the pyrenees. It was during this one particular stroll in the north of france when his lifelong grand tour took a strange turn he'd been visiting the bologna so maher and walking along the water when he came across an impromptu performance. A brown bear on a leash at captivated a group of spectators with prodding from its handler. The bear performed all kinds of tricks. It would count with. It's paw and indicate the hour of the day when shown a clock if a member of the audience wave to it. The bear would nod in their direction. Or even bow in reverence. Father o'leary returned a few more times to see the bear perform but something struck him as odd on his final day in town. The bear seem tired resting between tricks despite its owner poking it with a stick. The crowd was insatiable the kept throwing money at the handler demanding. More from the bear at one point the creature seemed to have had enough and when its owner poked it yet again it stood up and let out a guttural roar. But it wasn't the roar abair would make it sounded like words words that nobody father o'leary could understand. The bear was speaking the irish language of giga. This was the most amazing trick anyone had seen yet a bear. That could talk so father. O'leary called out to it and the two had a short conversation in their native tongue. O'leary soon left to track down the mayor of the town who he insisted should have a chat with the bears. Well it was at that point that the handler abandoned the animal and ran off as it turns out the bare hadn't been a bear at all he had started out as a man just trying to survive. He'd come by boat from the town of waterford in ireland where food had been in short supply on its way to spain. The boat had capsized and the man was rescued by fishermen once landau. They sold him into a bear costume and took him to france where they forced him to perform for people on the streets rather than pay him money. They gave him food but one thing he had wanted more than anything else and it was the promise that he'd be fed after each performance that had kept him in the costume. For so long. I know performing for strangers in a bear costume might seem intolerable to must but for one man at least it was worth it because the thought of going hungry was much more unbearable. "British author role doll rose to fame with books that became iconic works of literature and continue to be read by children. All over the world. Charlie and the chocolate factory james and the giant peach and the witches are all beloved for their colorful storytelling and memorable characters however shadow has followed these tales and their author since their publication doll was often described as being racist anti-semitic eh misogynistic in both his personal life and in his stories and how we approach problematic literature especially literature written for children is as complicated as the man who wrote them. Just ask those who were responsible for. Bringing his words to the world they often dealt with him across the ocean. And even that wasn't enough. Sometimes doll had grown up embodying this nickname of the apple which he'd earned due to his mother's adoration for him compared to her other children. He attended boarding school from a young age and dabbled in writing but his imagination proved far more developed than his literary skills. At the time. Still he enjoyed coming up with stories and conjuring new ones based on his experiences at school. Doll went on to enlist in world war. Two with the royal air force after sustaining an injury during a crash he healed up flew several more missions and eventually went home to start his new life as a civilian. He married american actress. Patricia neal in nineteen fifty three and together. The couple had five children. It was during her fifth pregnancy. Though when neil suffered three cerebral aneurysms. Her husband took over caring for the family but he also treated her horribly as she recovered he implemented a cruel recovery regimen to get her back into acting when she wanted something but couldn't remember what it was called. He would refuse to give it to her until she used. Its correct name and this went on for ten months. Several years later doll began an affair with another woman you see. There was a reason why his wife referred to him as roald of the rotten doll was also notoriously arrogant about his work and the money he made with it at a party thrown by playwright. Tom stoppard doll. Met kingsley. amos novelist who wrote adult fiction doll told him that if he really wanted to earn money with his work he should start writing children's books instead. The two men had an awkward conversation before doll left the party in his private helicopter amos despondently wrote about the evening later saying i watched the television news that night but there was no report of a famous children's author being killed in a helicopter crash doll just had the kind of effect on people but it was how he treated the ones who published his novels that nearly ended his career publishing house alfred. A knopf had been putting out dolls books for many years. In nineteen eighty the editor in chief robert gottlieb received a frantic letter from the author claiming he was running out of his favourite pencil. The american-made dixon ticonderoga. He demanded someone competent and ravishing. Those were his words not mine. Sent him a box of six. Dozen tonto. rojas. Gottlieb brushed the letter off as a joke and tossed it aside only to find out a few months later. That doll had most certainly not been playing around. So gottlieb's assistant sent him some pencils of different variety instead. But this only incensed the author further. He wrote back demanding. Not only the pencils. He had asked for but several other accommodations as well. And if gottlieb didn't acquiesce doll was prepared to go to another publisher. The editor had had enough. He composed a letter of his own in which he called doll uncivil and accused him of bullying. He would no longer tolerate tanks rooms or rudeness. Either and gottlieb ended his letter by providing doll with an ultimatum of his own. Unless you start acting civilly to us. There is no possibility of our agreeing to continue to publish you. The day the letter went out. Everyone in the office got up on their desks and cheered. Rawal dull had become the villain of his own story and he just been defeated. Enjoying the over one million people who have taken charge of their mental health with the help of an experienced better health professional war is frenetic with bombs going off and guns firing from all directions. It can be hard to tell which way is up throw in the unpredictable nature of an opposing force. And it's only a matter of time before a wrong decision. Turns deadly wars are new nor are their effects on those who fight them trauma disorientation and ptsd have affected soldiers for hundreds even thousands of years back in seventeen eighty eight. For example soldiers faced one of the most heated battles of the ostrow turkish war thousands were left dead or injured all because they had no idea what was going on. It was the night of september twenty first and roughly one hundred thousand austrian forces had entered the romanian town of karen. Seb's they've been fighting the ottomans namely the turks and had come to the town in order to maintain control of the nearby danube river. Turkish forces were close by and the austrians wanted to be prepared to make sure their position was secure. A small cavalry contingent scouted the area for turks. Everyone else stayed back at the camps to get ready for the next day's fight. The cavalry crossed the nearby. Tim's river hoping to surprise the enemy. What they actually found was a different kind of trouble. They came upon a group of romani travellers. Who invited the men to stop and take a load off. They offered them schnapps of which the austrians were only too happy to partake. After all they had a long day made longer by their night of patrolling. The cavalryman drank for much of that night's knowing tomorrow would be a day of bloodshed for both eventually though. They were confronted by a unit of austrian infantry soldiers who gazed upon the scene in both disbelief and jealousy. They demand the cavalry. Share the snaps with them but the men were drunk too drunk to make good decisions so late in the night and they told them no and rather than share their drinks. They barricaded themselves using empty barrels. A fight broke out. Fists were thrown and then someone somewhere fired. A single shot across the river. The austrians back at the camps. Believe the shot to have come from the ottoman army bay shouted a warning of turks turks which caused the partying soldiers across the river to panic to them. It seemed like the ottoman army had reached their camps so they ran back to help but the austrian forces had one major problem. Not all of them were actually from austria. Their army was made up of austrians. Germans czechs croat's serbs and soldiers from other european countries. Nobody spoke the same language so communication was difficult. This led to quite a few misunderstandings including a big one on this night is he. As the cavalryman an infantryman retreated back to their camps across the river. Awaiting officer shouted halt in german media. Stop some of the approaching men who did not know german though thought he was yelling. Allah pronouncement like that could only have come from a turkish soldier. The enemy after that an austrian commander ordered artillery fire on the incoming soldiers. Believing them to be the ottomans scared and unsure of what was going on the drunken cavalryman and infantrymen began firing back also under the impression that they were shooting at the ottomans. In other words each side that the other was the enemy and a firefight ensued in what came to be known as the battle of karen says they waged war all night and by the time. The battle was over the following morning. As many as ten thousand austrian soldiers had either been killed or wounded a few days later. The ottoman army actually showed up and without a proper austrian army to oppose them. The easily took over karen sevice. Some historians believe the battle to have never taken place since it wasn't officially recorded until forty years after the fact however it's also possible that no one wrote it down for a reason that just about all of us can sympathize with sheer embarrassment. "Today's episode is brought to you by IBM. SMART is open open is smart i._B._M.'s combining their industry expertise with open source leadership of Red Hat. Let's unlock the world's potential. Let's put smart to work learn more at I._B._M.. Dot Com slash slash red hat welcome to brain stuff production of iheartradio. Hey brain stuff lauren Boban here getting good sleep is important for everyone. It's essential for optimal cognitive performance physiological Michael Processes emotional regulation and quality of life but the National Sleep Foundation founded. It's two thousand eighteen annual sleep index study that just ten percent of American adults prioritize sleep over other things in their daily lives such as fitness nutrition work social life and hobbies. Lobbies and personal interests in the study just thirty five percent of those surveyed describe their sleep. Quality is good while twenty two percent said it was fair and twelve percent rated their sleep quality as poor. Most adults should get between seven and nine hours of sleep per night and the effects of sleep deprivation when you don't get enough sleep can be serious so what's one to do when they either can't fall asleep or simply. Don't get good quality of sleep when they do a pop culture legend of sorts suggests that the military might have the answer the members of the armed forces do have to sleep in dangerous and stressful environments all the time and the consequences of Parsley for soldiers on missions can be catastrophic soldiers on deployment often have unpredictable schedules that conflict with their natural circadian rhythms and they have small sleep quarters that double is personal and leisure space. That's why soldiers reportedly use a meditation technique that helps them or anyone fall into restful sleep in two minutes according to a November two thousand fifteen report from the U._S.. Army a metric called. The performance triad is used to assess and improve soldiers readiness in the areas of physical activity nutrition and sleep. The report revealed that almost one third of soldiers get less than five hours of sleep per night one out of every twenty active duty soldiers takes prescription sleep medication and sleep deprivation can increase the risk of soldiers developing post traumatic stress disorder the report includes the performance triad course offered to soldiers provides technical sleep techniques to help them get as much rest as possible while on deployment it also suggests soldiers aim to get eight hours of sleep in a twenty four hour period and avoid caffeine six hours before bedtime includes advice on how to use caffeine or energy drinks to improve performance while minimizing their impact on sleep. Although this report demonstrates the army's understanding of the importance of sleep it includes no mention of Meditation Asleep Tool. So where did this oft-cited technique come from the technique was developed in the U._S.. Navy pre flight school. It appears to have entered entered popular culture by way of Nineteen eighty-one self-help book. That's now out of print called relax and win championship performance. The author Lloyd Bud Winter was by then a well known track and field coach. The book is actually based on research that winter conducted as as a naval ensign after World War Two years before the book's publication winters technique was tested on two groups and winters navy pre flight academy to teach naval aviators how to properly relax and fall asleep faster the test group outperformed the control group in numerous. I tests and drills and after six weeks ninety six percent of the group could fall asleep practically on command so while the technique has seen a resurgence lately thanks to some mentions in the press. It's definitely not new but it is courtesy of the military. Winter described the process of this book to physically relaxed quickly in short his technique leads you through full body relaxation and then helps you clear your mind you start by slowly relaxing the muscles in your face including your tongue and lips then moved onto your shoulders arms and torso let each muscle go limp and breathe slowly as you concentrate on relaxing focus on your chest while you take deep breaths and exhale releasing your tension with your breaths once your upper body muscles feel relaxed move down to your thighs calves and feet consider them dead weight finally take three deep breaths and when you let them out blow out all of your remaining tension the process should take about a minute and a half it takes practice to relax your body on command so the trick is to I tense up each area. Area and then relax it clear your mind by concentrating on a calming mental image in theory. You should fall asleep pretty quickly based on recent military publications. It's unclear if this technique is still taught or widely used but if you haven't insomnia or just aren't getting a good night's rest. There's certainly no harm in trying it.
