"So it really depends upon your league structure You know how. You value michael thomas but right now he would not be something that someone that i would be looking to draft pretty much all in a traditional season-long management league. I agree with you. I think the pushback is that in season long managed lease some of these leagues four or sixteen to make the playoffs and then all the money. Is there once you make the playoffs. So if you can squeeze in the plows and then insert someone like michael thomas who we can project for like a twenty five to thirty percent target share. If he's right that would be a big boost to your playoff run obviously needs to get there. But depending on your league format like evans said if you have a deep bench and maybe six teams out. Twelve make the playoffs or something. There's more merit to holding michael. Thomas trying doubled in the whole time. My concern is that when he comes back this ankle's bothering him for a long time. My beard sir. When he goes back as a he won't be in shape. Be ankle may not be right. See it could be some hilla quarterback like there's a lot of issues that you could have with him beyond just kong roster spot and he's also although he is a plus size receiver he really runs a lot of short area routes. He runs. He does a ton of his damage in the slot. You primarily plays outside but he gets. I'm almost as many catches in the slot as he does on the perimeter. So you know. I think with that that the short area movement that he relies upon having an ankle injury a long standing ankle. Injury at this point Can really work against them. And yeah that effectiveness. Is that going to be there. And when he returns and the taste from hill factor that it could it could be ugly in the second half of the season. If even if he's out there playing and this offense could already be cratered. And that's what i want to get to you about where i think we disagree on this trait one smith move that you made from wide receiver fifty nine to wider seaver thirty seven. I don't think train. Quan smith is equipped and i liked him on. I don't think he's equipped to be a number one wide receiver in the nfl. I don't think he's equipped especially of tastes. Them hill is back there to be number one wide receiver in the nfl. So there's no chance that i would be taking trey smith over really good. Nfl receivers like brandon antonio brown deebo samuel devante. Parker viscous a juju sutton judy to meet once a month. There's nowhere near those guys. I'm not even sure that the saints thing trae kwan. Smith is ready for this. We've seen games last year them. Michael thomas miss where it was like. Harris popped up for ten targets. And they got marquette's calloway involved a bunch they little george humphrey and john johnson. I'm not even convinced that trade kwan is going to see five. Six seven targets per gamer. Big target then layering all the tastes and he'll risk as well so i would not have moved trae smith up a ton at all but yeah you feel free to disagree and obviously argue your point. Here trey quit up to wide receiver thirty for thirty seven. I mean he's not even ranked as a top thirty. Six league is as a wide receiver. Three he's a wide receiver three slash. Four and. I think that that's kind of where he belongs. I might back off him a little bit but my initial. I think that he's right now. The favorite for targets in the offense behind alvin kamara. And you know just from target share perspective. I think that he belongs in that wide receiver. Three four range. But yeah i mean we. We could talk about him and and how he you know how he compares to like tyler boyd Who i put him ahead of and tyler board. I think has a chance of like ninety catches. Frequent smith had that news range of outcomes. I'm not sure. I think that's a. That's a fair point. And i might reevaluate that today. Okay we're going to change it to the top one fifty soon as soon as trick wants me gets gets knocked down Tell people about marquez. Calloway and downstairs and join johnson. And jordan humphry. Like i don't know if these guys are really. Nfl wide receivers but they have a big opportunity in front of now. Is there any of those guys that you would consider even drafting. Yeah marcus calloway late. I moved him up into the top one fifty as the wide receiver sixty. He's got pretty good size is about six one. Six two two zero five. Didn't run great coming out. You ran four five five but if you look at his other athletic measurable 's he's a really good athlete. A thirty eight inch vertical. He had a really explosive broad. Jump as well. If you go back and look at his production at tennessee. He was a big play threat at tennessee. He averaged over twenty one per reception his final season in college and he came in last year. He didn't have a big yard reception last year. What he did have some moments where he flash and. I think that he is the favourite right now to be the saints number two receiver until michael. Thomas returns not necessarily a priority guy to draft but he became a. I mean i think a lot more interesting just based on. He's gonna get a lot more playing time in the first half of the season. I sure let's talk about the running back here for second to me and i talked to her. That was the one of the biggest winners. If not the biggest winner of his injury to me was latavius murray. They are going to be way more run heavy. They're gonna need alvin. Kamara split wide a lot more and i think latavius murray actually has a chance to have his role expanded and be effective. I mean you could make a case. Tavis murray's the second most talented offensive player on the saints. Right now behind. Only alvin kamara. So i like latavius. Murray moving him up. You have zero chimera now at our before. Getting passed up by zeke. Which we'll talk about in a second here but any thoughts of moving up and any further thoughts on chimera with more likelihood now that is going to start. Yeah i mean kamera got a little bit of a bump down Just because i moved up zeke and then you know we talked about this on a previous show and you were pretty adamant that you would prefer aaron jones with aaron rodgers back over alvin kamara and i was just looking at the rankings last night and thinking you know how how can i make that You know a part of the top one fifty so this is still a little bit of a work in progress. I don't wanna be too overreaction area to under reactionary on the fallout from what these big changes and and news and notes that are occurring early in training camp. the the fallout from them but I mean i. I'm a little bit. I love the offensive line. you know. i love the saints offensive line. They might have the best offensive line. The league they had their returning all five starters that really works in favor of latavius. Murray but you know again. How good is offense going to be. Are they going to get a lot of short yardage chances at the goal line alvin. Kamara happens to be a pretty damn good goal. Line running back you know in and of himself so we and so as taste of milk yet right and let's us murray's so i don't know is still in progress for sure. I think the risk is that we see the scenes. Offense run like the patriots offense last year. Really good offensive is really good. Coaching rushing quarterback tried to be creative and win games. that way. The problem is that's just a disaster for fantasy. We saw the patriots guys. They were unusable for most of the year where the patriot guys..

"There. I like taking wide receiver in round one in certain spots where we have so many questions about running back. How would you match up now. Tyreek hill verse. Devante verse digs. I believe you have them in. Similar tiers or the same tier. But these guys really davante adams steph digs tyree kale. How would you slot devante and think about if you wanted to go wide receiver in round. One thing about those guys. They're all now first round picks there all i believe within the top eleven overall in the top one fifty and i mean they're they're tough to sort you know i thought about putting davante adams at number one Over tyree kill thought about putting him in number two over stefan digs but you know the big playability. The small narrow target distribution in kansas city betting on patrick mahomes have a better season than aaron rodgers. I think gives tyree kill the edge and then with stefan digs. Just the the ability of stefan digs. Just jump in pretty much cold with very little practice. Time with josh. Allen do what he did. Last year lead the nfl catches and receiving yards. And now they're entering number two with the full off season and the full august to prepare And the use of a little bit on the side of stefan digs. There has me leaning toward stefan digs over davante adams right now but again. All three of these guys are within the top eleven now in the top one fifty. Yeah and i like the idea of big bob. Tanya being up there in the top of his tier for sure last. I want to say is aaron jones. You mentioned it a little bit but man if you're looking for a running back in round one without workload concerns without injury concerns air jones. I mean men and i like aj dylan moved aj dylan rv thirty nine ivan taking aj dylan a ton in round ten eleven of baseball. I think that aaron jones now is around one pick. I don't know who go like that yet. People are going to be anchored a bit to his round two selection. So we'll see what happens. Aaron jones. adp for now will be ahead of air jones adp. And i like that for sure and one thing to note when you are drafting. Aj dylan now is that you know if something were to happen to aaron jones. Aj dill and all of a sudden becomes a potential league winner So that makes aj dylan a lot more attractive. In addition to the fact that now he can be a guy that potentially provides you with some Some standalone value and is like a potential Flex option each week on. It would be very tied to touchdowns and he'd be very volatile score. Even the best case scenario with aaron jones healthy but now he's got a little bit of a floor and very high ceiling if something were to happen aaron jones. Do you wanna give the people a quick scouting report on my rogers. Just in general. Do you think he has to beat out. Mvsa or lazard for number two number three duties or do you think it's just going to be kind of a gadget. He role firm orient player. That they of envisioned when they drafted amari. Roger was randall. Cobb and we've heard rumors from trey wingo who he's not a reporter so you to kinda take what he says with a grain of salt. Nothing against trey wingo by you know. He's like a a a sports personality that he that aaron rodgers is pulling the packers to trade for randall. Cobb and if that were to happen that would not that would that would not help amari. Rogers so yeah. I'm trying to temper expectations for amari rogers. But i think that would fit well. As a slot player allen lazard has also been a high percentage slot player for the packers over the past couple of years. So a randall. Cobb edition would hurt him. And if amari rogers comes along quickly that also would hurt. Allen lazard mean. This is so absurd like i. He got upset when j kuncoro. They've they let jake coomer go. And now he's demanding the trade randall. Cobb who i think has looked really kind of slow down and also has an awful contract right now. He wants him to trade for randall. Cobb i mean it's ridiculous. Okay let's move on to the michael thomas stuff. We talked about this. I talked about this last one. Get hers. But i wanna get your take on it. Because you're much lower michael thomas then what we discussed last week. You drop michael. Thomas from the wide receiver ten to wide sixty two following news that he had ankle surgery in june on his troublesome ankle. We're currently projecting the back around week. Seven or week eight where. We don't know what. I was arguing with about some was. We don't know how healthy he'll be if he does return in that week. Seven or eight spot so this is a massive moved down to wives. Sixty two essentially. What you're saying is a borderline on draftable. So talk to you about wire. So so low on michael thomas to it very much depends upon league format. If you're in. Best ball i think that michael thomas is still very draftable if you are in a league if you're gonna manage league season-long league we have an. I are spot then. Michael thomas is a lot more draftable. But if you're in a traditional season-long league which most people are by far the highest percentage League format in fantasy football still. I think he's really really tough to draft. He's not going to get him. He's going to begin the season on reserve. Up it appears and those first waiver runs a really important typically in the manage leagues and having a guy occupying roster spot for the entire first six weeks with..

What the Trent Brown trade tells us about Bill Belichick’s thinking

"Notable today trent brown. The you know pro bowl top you know. Left tackle offensive tackle in the entire. Nfl when the top guys on they traded him back to the patriots this interesting he was unhappy clearly The raiders were unhappy clearly because he's barely played so even while the raiders had like this dominant offense align at times. Trent brown was even playing for them. Sometimes you know last year. I feel like he barely played due to injuries and everything else. So the raiders weren't appreciate the effort. They felt like he could push through some of that probably. They felt like he was out of shape. You know Might may i came out and said that that when he's in shape and healthy is one of the best hackles ofo ball when he's not he's no good for you so My assumption is my guess of. I had to predict out. Trent brown will be entirely healthy next year. Because he's a patriot now and so he will not do injury concerns. He won't have all these issues because he's happy because he thinks he's on a winning team. No surprise surprise. Trent brown the patriots wearing good last year. The patriots. don't even have a quarterback sir. They don't if he can't come back. That's great but bro. You don't even know your protection. You don't even know how this even the plow because they didn't play out so hot last year now another get a lot of players back that You know took a year off because of covid. I fully assume. Bill belichick is anna. Start to repair this team. The best he can But you know the they're left guard go. I believe they decided to franchise tag him. That'll be interesting. But this always you know as a raiders fan. This kind of stuff always annoys me because players leave the traded with ever. They go to another team. Take the pay cut because he was getting paid. More with the raiders. That was annoys move. Obviously the raiders always play pay. You know a bonus they always have to pay up compared to other teams especially a successful team like the patriots so right so okay that comes with the territory. Donate to play the game. I respect that. And then you know. I hate when these guys on twitter and they started. Tweet tweeting my. They're so happy so excited. It gives me those antonio brown vibes when he left the raiders. So yeah that's it's frustrating but listen term row with some non baloch patriots at which But it's raiders all

"So when we less when we last left you, the Buccaneers were up 21 to 10 boneheaded, played by Kevin King at the end of the half aloud Scotty Miller to get behind him. And you and I said Aaron, they've got to score. To start the second half. The Packers got the ball and what did they do? They fumbled. Aaron Rodgers hit Aaron Jones quickly dump off right down the middle. He took a step and the ball was not free. Devon White, who's been everywhere in the playoffs of the Buccaneers grabs it gets inside the 10 yard line, by the way, Great play by Jordan Whitehead more than ever in the NFL. Guys, We're hunting the football. He put hat right on ball. Aaron Jones fumbles. White picks it up and now condition critical for the Packers. Because the head start going down if the box score here and make it 28 to 10, and we are really in the third quarter, no doubt. But if the box score here and make it 28 10 is it over just about? I think, in part because I think the spirit of the Packers is really broken right now is You know, they gave up that play before the end of the half, which is probably the play. Everybody will remember this game by. Um and now I just feel like the Packers have no emotional energy left in reserves to mount a comeback. They need some sort of change of Mo mentum here. Well, they didn't get it because on play action and again to me another blown coverage Kamman break gets behind the linebackers. They buy on the play action and one play one touchdown 28 to 10 Brady to Cameron. Break way do have 13 54 left in the third quarter, so hold on. Hold on. Hold on. 28 to 10. The Buccaneers and this was the story in the first game between these two teams, which in the which in the Buccaneers won 38 to 10 turnovers. The Packers have two of them both of led to touchdowns. The Packers The fewest points allowed off turnovers ish year 33. The Buccaneers got the most at 120 for the second consecutive game. The Packers don't turn it over. They turned it over in the week six lost 38 to 10. They've turned it over there, minus 14 off Turn over today and the bucks leading by 18 Chase. Brady also 14 of 23 for 2 10 now and he has thrown three touchdown passes in this game. So the Packers have to realize there's no 18 point play and the way these NFL games go, I know you're going up against Tom Brady. But it's got to start with one score. There's there's no, you're not playing rock and jock out there. You can't throw the touchdown pass to the guys sitting on the couch. You know, in the stands at Lambeau Field, that's gonna get you 21 points. So it's going to start with one driver and one score. It's got to start with a little bit of a Momenta MCI change and then at some point, Mike Petain's defense has got a choice. They can either get stops or they're going to get their coordinator fired today. And again, this is going to come down to Aaron Rodgers. We talked about it, and this is just part of the game. It's the way it works. Whether the quarterback is involved in these things or not. The quarterback gets blamed. Tom Brady gets an easy gets a nine yard field play Action touchdown. He looks great. He's thrown two touchdowns, No interceptions. Aaron Rodgers, and we talked about this. It looked like there was a holding call on the one interception right before the half does not get called. They scored a touchdown. The defense lets him down. And then Aaron Jones by no fault of Aaron Rodgers fumbles the football, they get an easy score. They're down 18 and uneducated will look at this game and say Well, clearly, Aaron Rodgers is not playing as well as Tom Brady, and he gets blind well. Aaron Rodgers doesn't have Tom Brady's defense and Tampa's defense is playing 10 times better than Green Bay's is right now they're not leaving guys running wide open all over the place. So On. They didn't give up that play before the half. So some of that criticism I think is fair. Let's see how the last you know. 20 some odd minutes of this game. Go Rogers. I'm sure he's going to get some blame. But I think it for Green Bay people and people who watch the game. Most of the blame is going to fall and probably rightfully so on the defense of the Packers. And Tom Brady. Three touchdown passes 13 54 in the third. The Packers have the ball 28 to 10 14 off turnovers. The Buccaneers leave the Packers at Lambeau Field. All right, we did this. For the Packers and the Buccaneers. And I think I said that the bankers were gonna blow out the Buccaneers that didn't work out so well. So let's try this again. It is time for predictions. It is time for predictions for the NFC championship game. You allowed me to go first. Call your shot. You could start for us there. And what do you got for the NFC Championship? Well, my bold prediction here A F C championship, 6 40 Eastern time Chiefs or a three point favorite at home. I'm still waiting for this close playoff game. This classic playoff that the NFL is set up for all these games to come down to the end, and I'm not sure we've had a signature moment yet in these playoffs, but I think that Josh Allen is going to play the game of his life today. Don't know that it's going to be enough to win..

"To say it's a quarterback league, but the team that runs the ball best they're gonna win. Baby's gonna make more plays, um, on on tough weather days with your run game than you will with your passing game, but just logical, right. So in both of these games, it's It's who could do that best. Which is why, when I look at this Tampa Bay Buccaneers Green Bay Packers game as much as I love Touchdown Tommy and the other weapons that he halves Even though Antonio Brown has been ruled out. I think the advantage here goes to the home team. You know, Obviously, the quarterbacks, you know, say not notwithstanding. Um AJ Dylan has become a force for this. This Packers offense. Aaron Jones we know is he's been great one of the best scoring, running backs and football. The home team has the advantage one because of the weather, but also because I think they have a more potent run game when you look at the NFC championship game It's not the most fun thing to talk about. No, it's not, but it's a reality. It's the reality of playing crappy weather games. If you can't run the ball, you're in trouble. Yep. I want to play this for you. And then we're gonna get a break Here. Get the update from Matt. Come back, get inbounds out of bounds. But, you know, we're talking about tangible stuff here. The ability to run yard pretend yards per carry, etcetera. Whether that's obviously let's change. We can quantify what's the weather? It's harder to quantify leadership, right? S O. If I was looking for unquantifiable X factor from the Packers and the Pats I might actually focus on not Aaron Rodgers is greatness, which is snap snap apparent, but something he doesn't get a lot of credit for which is leadership. And that's something coach LeFlore touched on this week. I want to play this grad guys when he speaks, he so he is so well thought out and what he says. And he has a such a great delivery to our team. I think everybody really truly takes it the heart. You know what it's e think it's very different than Tom Brady, who leads probably similarly talks a lot, but it's more emotional, more demonstrably Brady for surely. Definitely more emotional and Democritus and in your face and you got to do that. Where is where is Aaron Rodgers? I mean, I wonder, honestly. And this is like I could never know this answer, because I don't know him well enough, and, you know, maybe I'll get a chance to ask him at some point, But I doubt I will. Like in those those you know, last, say five or six years this before the floor. Did you really believe that you had a team that could win a championship? Right? And the answer is probably no least my mind would say he probably thinks it was no, even though he went out and played his ass off all the time, But these last couple of years, you got to know he's seeing the urgency and the opportunity. You wanted to win a championship. And so in those moments we talked about like those air high pressure anxiety moments. What happens to you with Aaron Rodgers, as met coach before just said You could tell his heartbeat just slows down just becomes that guy. We're okay, guys, we're done. We're gonna do this X Y z yada, yada yada. I bet that's really quite calming to team to a team that's anxious and been looking for another championship for awhile. You also the shooting the passive aggressive I once in a while, which could be a nervy if you know, wired in a tough way, But I hear you He doesn't get that credit, You know, In fact, it was. It was always the other way, right? It was always like he's a bad, you know, he just excellent point, right? Remember that? It's not a great teammate like nobody really knows. Oh, that was just that was a narrative to the point where we had former teammates. Come on. On DMA. Most refuted that and they were, but there were other teammates. I know when we had guys on to address that story directly knows at least two players. They both refuted. But there was others. You know other outlets and whether it's print or whatever, where they said the opposite that he wasn't a great leader, and he was passive aggressive in that. Maybe didn't have the pulse of the team would ever so eyes. Leadership is something that doesn't get a lot of props. But at least for this generation of Packers, it Z palpable. It's got an impact, No doubt. All right, take inbounds out of bounds Coming up next Eve Nash coaching for 15 games. You got a beef already? Not even with somebody of his own team. Gotta be put somebody in the N b. A. We'll get to that. After acts update. We'll get to the shack, Donovan Mitchell stuff. And of course, we'll finish with football. Give your predictions obviously, including what we think will happen against the spread. It acts up date is right now he is rich. See me? Yes..

"To say it's a quarterback league, but the team that runs the ball best. They're gonna win right, because gonna make more plays on tough weather days with your run game than you will with your passing game, but just logical. Right. So in both of these games, it's it's who could do that best. Which is why, when I look at this Tampa Bay Buccaneers Green Bay Packers game as much as I love touchdown, Tommy and the other weapons that he halves even though Antonio Brown has been ruled out, Um I think the advantage here goes to the home team. It's not, but it's but it's a reality. It's the reality of playing crappy weather games. If you can't run the ball, you're in trouble. Yep, I want to play this for you. And then we're gonna get a break here. Get the update from Matt. Come back, get inbounds out of bounds. But, you know, we're talking about tangible stuff here. The ability to run yard pretend yards per carry, etcetera. Whether that's obviously you can let's change. We can quantify What's the weather? It's harder to quantify leadership, right? S O. If I was looking for unquantifiable X factor from the Packers and the Pats I might actually focus on not Aaron Rodgers is greatness, which is snap snap apparent but something he doesn't get a lot of credit for which is leadership and that's something coach LeFlore touched on this week. I want to play this grad guys when he Speaks. He's so he is so well thought out and what he says and he has such a great delivery to our team. I think everybody really truly takes it the heart. You don't think it's right because I think it's very different than Tom Brady, who leads probably similarly talks a lot, but it's more emotional, more demonstrably Brady for surely. Definitely more emotional and demontre tive and in your face, and you got to do that. Win it to win a championship. And so in those moments we talked about like those air high pressure anxiety moments. What happens to you with Aaron Rodgers, as met coach before just said You could tell his heartbeat just slows down just becomes that guy. We're okay, guys, We're just done. We're gonna do this X y z yada, yada yada. I bet that's really quite calming to team to a team that's anxious and been looking for another championship for awhile. You also the shooting the passive aggressive I once in a while, which could be a nervy if you know, wired in a tough way, But I hear you He doesn't get that credit. You know, when, In fact it was. It was always the other way, right? It was always like he's a bad, you know, he just excellent point, Right? Remember, that is not a great teammate like nobody really knows. That was just that was a narrative to the point where we had former teammates come on on DMA. Most refuted that and they were, but there were other teammates. I know when we had guys on to address that story directly. No, it was at least two players. They both refuted. But there was others. You know other outlets and whether it's print or whatever. Where they said the opposite that he wasn't a great leader, and he was passive aggressive and that maybe didn't have the pulse of the team would ever so His leadership is something that doesn't get a lot of props, but at least for this generation of Packers It's AH, It's palpable. It's got an impact, no doubt. All right, take inbounds out of bounds coming up next Steve Nash coaching for 15 games. You got a beef already. Not even with somebody on his own team. Gotta be put somebody in the N B. A. We'll get to that. After acts update will get to the shack, Donovan Mitchell stuff and, Of course, we'll finish with football. Give your predictions obviously, including what we think will happen against the spread. But acts update is right now he is rich..

"Meena. Hello pablo hello is an nfl analyst for espn and the host of the meantime show featuring lenny so i need to know where you are on the football excitement alerts scale right now because i for a true tape grinder like yourself conference championship. Sunday is in some ways. Maybe even better than the super bowl if the football excitement scale as you call. It was one through ten conference championships. Sunday's about fifteen for me. There's know maybe about whether or not it's more exciting than the super bowl. Pablo it absolutely is. This is my favorite sunday of the year and in part because by the time we get to the super bowl we've talked about same matchups over and over and it's usually like. How many times can we say what you guys rush brady with four. You know before and of course always been in the super bowl the last decade or so. That's a phrase. I've said a lot inventive. You say that. I was going to say you're the person i i would really make that a me. I mean it's true but it's also more fun when you get to talk about other things and this particular set of games. It's really the best possible combination of teams in my opinion. There's a reason why the lions in vegas are very close because it actually looks like a pretty well matched pair of games. I wanna start with buccaneers packers. Meena because this was not a close game when these two teams played back. In october roggio touchdown tampa bay fire the cannons the bucks and thirty seven rogers was abysmal. In that game through zero touchdowns he threw two. picks completed. Completed doesn't half passes in tampa bay when they played each other. The first time and tampa bay destroyed perhaps not coincidentally green bay. Thirty eight to ten. So how did that blowout happened. Well this is. It was such a strange game. Pablo because aaron rodgers has had this incredible season which. I'm sure we'll talk about this. Is the one real blemish on his staff third drops better pass picked off the other side. By two thousand fifteen touchdown touchdown booker. He stunk i. There's no really nice way to put it. Now he stunk in part because the offensive line in green bay which has been spectacular. One of the best football year got beat up. Front rodgers was sacked six times pressured twenty one times. I mean no most of the time this series look cool as a cucumber back there but this was not the case and as mentioned had these very surprising interceptions coming from him. I think he finished the game with a passer rating of like thirty five. Okay so really. It was all about the buccaneers. Pass rush beating green bay upfront and aaron rodgers being uncomfortable as a result and that was also reflected in the running game. aaron jones had just ten carries. He averaged like one point. Five yards per rush again. Very dissimilar from the rest of the season. But you saw what could or should i. If in the eyes of tampa bay be the formula for beating green bay which is if you can stop the running game and keep the packers from executing their play action passing attack which flows from that and get them into third down and get pressure on rogers and obvious passing situations. That's your best chance of beating now. All those things i just said barry. Few teams in the nfl been able to do that but tampa was able to do that the last time. These two teams that so many things obviously have changed since then as you alluded to. That was back in week. Six when that game happened. So in what you've seen since then who's been better this year. Aaron rodgers tom brady. Aaron rodgers is undeniably. Been the better quarterback this year and he is my pick by the way for. Mvp it's between him. And patrick mahomes. It's close but rodgers is that an unreal season. I mean just statistically he's been first and qbr brady was tenth. He ranks third in yards per temporary. He was eleventh forty eight touchdowns brady at forty. He only through five pigs brady threw twelve. You get the idea. So while tom brady is the most complex quarterback of all time i believe. Aaron rodgers is the most talented. Patrick mahomes is kind of them. A run for that. And when these two goats meat i don't know where goat's meat in a field a meadow anyway to meet makes me sort of hungary. Honestly that phrase oud took it there. I guess goats will be hurting in green bay this weekend but the goat whose homefield it is home meadow. It is has been the better one this weekend. That's metaphor really. Just got out of control.

"The Packers can run the football really well with Aaron Jones, and obviously they still have number 12 was still Who still really good and probably gonna win the M V P, So it's gonna be an interesting match up, you know? Davante Adams against Jalen Ramsey. That's going to be certainly something to watch. Two. Yeah, that'll be a key matchup. And then, of course, the bills that took care of business against the Colts and They'll probably have. Well, I don't know if they'll have advantage next week. I would assume I don't know the schedule next week haven't looked that far ahead. But I would assume the bills will have that cold weather in their pocket next week as well, They might and you know, I was actually surprised to see them. They were allowed to have fans on Saturday's game against the Colts as well. And I would imagine The same thing's gonna happen this Saturday when they take on Lamar Jackson and the Ravens. So we're gonna have some fans in their favorite. They may have the weather in their favorite, too. But You know Baltimore and that defense and Lamar Jackson being able to sort of control things for the Ravens to you know, the Ravens are kind of built to be a team that can play in cold weather. Two with the running game and And Jackson just being able to do enough here and there, so that's going to be another intriguing matchup is well, Yeah, I'm excited to watch Jackson go up against Josh. "This does the Packers now being in first in the Saints, having that hiccup is it kind of affords the Packers the possibility of another hiccup of their own, and they do still have to play the Tennessee Titans in a couple of weeks, and Derrick Henry, the top Russian, the NFL's coming in, so that's a scary proposition. But the Saints are hosting the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes next week, so it's not out of the realm of possibility. You think the Saints might lose another game. And there's just this brings the Packers and the Saints on even ground that as long as they match whatever the Saints do, it actually affords them a little waiver room to have a hiccup of their own. Yeah, I'm gonna talk about the offense to start Brian, and obviously I just mentioned the brilliance of Aaron Rodgers. But one thing I noticed yesterday, and we can talk about the Vontaze. Well, who, if you don't think he's the number one receiver in the NFL is certainly in the top two or three. But I noticed was a quiet game. Quieter game for Aaron Jones. Do you think there's a method to that or was it was that by design? What do you make of that? I was very surprised to see that Aaron Jones had a quiet game yesterday because Detroit's Russian defense is one of the worst in the National Football League. And if you remember back to early in the season when the Packers hosted the Lions at Lambeau Field, Aaron Jones went off in a 75 yard touchdown run. He was over 100 yards on the ground, and he had a terrific, terrific game and see if this is actually the topic of my extra points this morning of wtmj dot com. It was interesting to see him struggle a little bit yesterday on it aligns with the news that ESPN Rob Tomasky broke just before kickoff, saying that Aaron Jones had parted ways with his agent and is looking for new representation because his old agents and the Packers could not come to AH new contract deal. It's another kind of starting over and that screams to me that Aaron Jones feels like he's worth way more money than the Packers or his now former agent, too. So he's not. He didn't produce yesterday. That's neither here nor there. Maybe it's just a bad game. The bigger picture here is that he's got a contract situation that is very much unresolved with three weeks left in the regular season, and if he wants Christian McCaffrey want money or Ezekiel Elliott money, I don't know that he's playing well enough for consistently enough to get that kind of thing, And we could be watching the last couple of games that 33 plays in green and gold. Yeah, one of the great things that I was having a side conversation. The yesterday is that one of the things that would pacify was Packers fans is if they win a Super Bowl with Aaron Jones, as much as people would hate to see that the relationship and that would be obviously something would pacify them for the next few years, But I don't want to get too far ahead of the game. The other thing that stood out to me was And this is a big, recurrent recurring theme throughout the season is Mark West, Valdas scantly and the faith, even though sometimes that faith is betrayed between Aaron Rodgers and MVS and yesterday a brilliant, brilliant touchdown catch, which was an important part of that game yesterday. That victory Oh, man, I was so excited to see him come up with a big play because it was really awful The way that I'm hesitant to even call them Packers fans. They were just jerks. The jerks that Send him death threats and messages after his fumble in the in the lost to Indianapolis like that's just That's not phantom. That's people be in church. But he was much maligned by by fans by media in the area for, you know, having drop issues, and that's been an issue for the last couple of seasons. But what an unbelievable catching your right, Stephen, a huge moment to get the Packers kind of rolling offensively, That is a high level of difficulty catch and that is the reason You see them and buy them. I mean, Aaron Rodgers and Matt before continue to have faith and trust in him. He can come up with gigantic plays on a semi regular basis. Consistency is the only issue with NVs. If he can do that, consistently, he's gonna be a star. The four lines. Text text lines are open the acronym Orange Talking Tax 9855616 Your thoughts on the Packers game After the break, Brian will talk a little bit about the NFC North where we were. This storyline is going the Packers not with three games remaining two of them at Lambeau Field in, Of course, the big season finale in Chicago, which which actually looks like a pretty interesting game. Given the way the Bears play yesterday, we'll see if the truth risky rebirth is real or not. He's Ryan D. This is Monday morning, quarterback. You're welcome to join us. "Aaron Jones, the single back behind Rogers Packers take over from their own 21 Rogers to throw right side wide open in the 30 yard line. Now there's scant ling out across the 35 to the 36. That'll be a first down then this seems as though Green Bay's office, especially their offensive line has made adjustment. We're not even getting close the air right now, it seems like they're either slide to the guy who was giving them problems early in the first half. Whichever defense in was given the problems they seem to be sliding the line that way and taking care of it right now, getting 15 on first down new set down for Green Bay, 1st and 10 for girl in 36. They lead it by seven third quarter. Rodgers gives the Jones try to get the edge, right finds room across the 40 good run to the 44 yard line. Jilani Divine, maybe stop, but that's eight yards and sex Green Bay up of the second into. I talked about their office align. It may not be a lot of talent on that office, align the self a body air, but they played good. They played well as a group, and sometimes that's what you need. You don't have to have outstanding in the Your players, but you just have to have guys that play well as a group, and that's what the Green Bay Officer line this door right now. Second and two playbook wide open for Rogers is he comes to the line. He worked out of the gun with Jones to his left handed to Jones. Jones is hit and driven back. He's gonna lose the yard back to the 43 yard line stacked up by that lions defense that time careless leaving. That's it, Orsini in there on that tackle, just crashing down. And the job. He took his man and put him in the back field to looking job. Just work his guy push him in the back field until the running back. That's what you want to do if you got stuck on the guy. Take that guy drive him back into the tackle, too. So it's 33 for the Packers there. Five out of seven on third down today, they scrimmage from their own 43 Rogers empty out of the gun line, show four Across the front single deep safety Rogers has got it back to pass. Just looks looks a lot of time throws over the middle part tongue in first down Lions territory, the 46 so much time back there 11 yards in the first down. Then again, those guys up front. They looked out for each other. So the uncomfortable I'm and that he's uncovered. He's gonna look to help out on the help with other guys so again as a unit, they're just playing so called he's if that cohesiveness is so good with that group. This heart for the lines to generate any pressure all Aaron Rodgers Robert tended it was with the Lions for a minute has really turned into a good player for the Packers. Second leading receiver coming in on 1st and 10 toss sweep Right side, Jamal Williams finds a crease inside the 40 and down to the 37 Yard line. God nine on first down, but the second one green bages grinding up the yard. Now you're saying we're gonna happen in Austin? Brian, that's coming out the game. Now we're just gonna have to be real cautious of place coming back on the backside. He's crashing really hard on the back side. We've got to make sure we keep our backside containing Also second down and one Green Bay from the Lion 37 leading by seven minute 15 to go third quarter clock moving Rogers up under center. Turns fakes Get Jamal Williams wants the throw. Rogers looks looks. He's gonna run it and die for the first down inside 35 to the 34 look downfield that time didn't see anything but did see enough room to move to change picked up three yards, so he started rolling one way and came back the other way. So again. Keep harping on it, But you're going to have to keep you contain the guys on the front side of gonna have to win. And the guys on the backside of won't have to be discipline to keep it contained. Just haven't been able to pressure him to the enormous You're right. You're absolutely right. First in 10 Green Bay from the Lion 34 Rodgers takes the snap terms gives to Jones Jones trying to get the edge left does inside the 30 Will Harris rides him out of bounds of the 26? X. That's another eight yards that dad back what you were saying about pressure Romeo Corps. He accord he entered the league. He was leading the league with 25 pressures. On third down, Aaron had had pressures He had been hit today. It's just a lot of things that we needed to do their Rogers get him off the spot that we're not being able to do. Green Bay had the ball for more than 12. Minutes Net third quarter 21 plays 23 for Detroit. They lead it by seven there knocking on the door again. Packers survive scare from Jaguars, hang on for win

"Wayne laravie. Wtmj with the call. Knicks shook now joins us. They adams did what davante adams does go down on. The packers won his. Td grab in. The fourth quarter was the difference in twenty four twenty win over the jaguars at lambeau shook. I know home. Field advantage was like fun and happiness in general eradicated by covid nineteen but how the hell the green bay let the loot nights hang up. It was weird games. I mean every once in a while you see a team that is clearly superior play a lesser team and not necessarily make mistakes but just things of unfold where the lesser team manages to stay in the game. A punt return for a touchdown makes what was going to be a runaway game. Close game just kind of unfolds from there that's really what the jaguars did for the most part Until the latter stages of the game when you actually put the ball and jake luton's hands and well we saw the result. I mean he's he's simply not the guy. But i mean a credit them for battling and and for sticking around the game long enough to make it competitive but ultimately the better team won the have to be thrilled. That marquez valdes scantling Put up the kind of game he did that. It's not just davante adams. But aaron jones came back on. I'm looking at the numbers here. Not mind-blowing was it was just sort of the way the game went that he wasn't massively. Impactful yeah and it was one of those strange games where the packers one time of possession by a small margin and it worked out of the jaguars favor in that. It limited them from making their own mistakes. You know the longer. The packers had the ball the less of a chance to jaguars had to make a game changing or a crushing mistake. Like throwing pick six or something like that and the credit to the jaguars for limiting the packers ability to turn those into points for the most part. It was the packers settling for three. Not being able to turn those possessions into touchdowns except for a few occasions and kind of just resulting in a closer game than expected. But i mean if you watch the game on the field for the most part you could tell you knew who was the better team like we knew coming into this game and it was just a matter of them pulling out the victory. Not everyone is pretty. And this is an ugly win for the packers. But it's still the same in the standings even was against the jack bars.

"Some people tell you that stupid people, whatever it is just the way I look at it. I have a soft spot for the Browns, and I feel like this is a field goal game and I just avoid this one. If I had to put on it, I would say the Browns win. Take the Browns the money line. I am not confident in that 3.5 over under his 50.5. Kind of seems about about right. Right? Actually, um, you know, a not ovary, actionable game, right? And with mixing out that that kind of makes the Bengals one dimensional, So you're not sure if they're going to be able to be the same with you, Bernard in there. I just take the problems on the money line that one. Okay. The Washington football team hosting the Dallas Cowboys Boy cowboys look terrible tonight. They do, And I think that You and I think disagree on this game we do disagree is far from a pickup standpoint. Yes, right now, this one right now The Washington is laying one laying one and I took Washington this game. I think they're going to win. They've got the better defensive line. Dallas is offensive line is decimated. Andy Dalton did not look good out there on in prime time. Dallas just looks messed up right now. I know that Washington is not a good football team per se, but that whole division is not a good good division. I went ahead and took Washington this one. I really want to pick Washington. And there are fantasy implications for me to take Washington so it wouldn't surprise me. If I waffle on this one. What's the difference in Lay on the line and the money line in laying the point, man? It's just 1, 10 and So it's minus 1 10. Let's just say if, SAY, USA for Washington So my eyes 1 10 at mice one obviously for Washington, and it's minus 1 20. It's taken straight up on the money line. That's weird. So just lay the point is one point point. Yeah, exactly. OK, Atlanta hosting Detroit. This is another game. You and I differ on a little bit Atlanta right now. Also laying a point. Yeah, I took Atlanta this one on and I didn't look back. I think that Matt Ryan and having Julio back healthy, I think that's Plus. I think they got a little confidence in the coaching shakeup was a little hesitant on that at first, but remorse seems toe. Seems to have injected some new energy. They're getting that boost that everybody gets from the interim coach and fresh start kind of thing on so ride that high Take Atlanta while the right that high Detroit's gonna be fired meditation the end of the year. They're not very good. I think everybody there's just kind of slugging it through the mail it in. I love the additional use. Of my way. Aaron Jones is officially inactive. We just got that information. So all the people that have Aaron Jones your fancy lineups or if you have Jamal Williams, or you go run to your waivers and get Jamal Williams. I suggest you do that. Has implications for us as well in fantasy, a little later on the reason I like Detroit is, I think the addition of DeAndre Swift and, they say, already told, said, they're going to have a bigger role carved out for him. He's significantly a better runner than what Adrian periods Peterson is at this point. I think that gives them another dimension and not only because they've been using in the passing game, but if they added into the run game, you two touchdowns this last week at over 100 yards from scrimmage. I feel like Deandra Swift. Give them that dimension that they've been missing with a mix of holiday Now that the fact is They are well. TJ Hawkins has been more reds on threat, but Marvin Jones is really just not done married very much for them. So they really need to get Marvin Jones going in this game. If they're gonna have a chance, But this one is, you said, means one point right now, either way. I I just feel this is a little bit more of a toss up. I think from a gambling perspective, I'm just staying away from it. I like Atlanta. This one and I would say if you got to lay the point if it's better payout just lay the point. All right. We'll do one more quick one here, Houston and Green Bay. We just mentioned that and this one. This game here is our wager. Eric Henry is a huge downhill guy and I tell you when you get tired of the end of a football game, having a battering ram like that coming downhill, it's you against an offense like Green Bay that's capable of explosive plays makes it so tough. "Anyway, a program you know, we're gonna have an after party tomorrow for completely different reasons. But Kabir goingto have a debate after party tomorrow. Yes, This is great stuff like tonight. Right now we get to reflect on the Wisconsin sports boards and tomorrow we get to reflect on the first presidential debate or baby. All right. Well, I'll give you more information about that before we're out of here at nine o'clock. OK, so let's turn our attention to the award winners tonight. Just kind of going through just a few wantto shoot us attacks your way in on any of these nominees. Any of these winners that we learned tonight 85561616 20 professional athlete of the year. Do you think about For last season. You got to think of it that way. Right Last being you know, 1920 ish Packers had two nominees Aaron Jones. Aaron Rodgers. Member, the Packers went to the NFC Championship game. So it's that season that you got to be thinking about right now is great as they are right now. They were good. Last year, Jones the breakout performance Rogers, Of course, superb. Somebody believe how many interceptions of last year You gotta have this stuff on top. Your head panty. Did he have six? I want to say six. You have 24 touchdowns and six interceptions last year. I'm going to say 24 6 of my clothes. What did he have? Last year? I have interceptions for the 2019 NFL season. How many? Oh, shoot. I was gonna maybe was 20 for ladies. 26 4 26 touchdowns for picks at any rate, Christian Yelich. Who finished second in the MVP voting last year for the Brewers, But he won the NL batting title. And then, of course, Johannes for the Bucks a season that ended in his first thing last year. Not this recently completed season in his first Most Valuable Player award. That's that is a stacked category. Jones Rogers Rogers could be an M V P and probably is a candidate every year. As long as he's healthy yell Ich last year could have won the M V P Bellenger wanted for the Dodgers, Of course, um Jones and Yanis. But in the end the Greek Free wins the professional athlete of the Year award, and it was coach Bud to accept on his behalf. Well, I think you're honest, his desire to be the best and to be great and the way you do that is by getting better improving every day every year. I'm every opportunity you get, and it's just Ah, it's amazing to me how he truly embraces that kind of mantra. I think it's what we want our organization to be about. And as we now know, way, guys. Is it safe that we can nominate Johannes for the professional athlete of the year for the 10th annual Wisconsin sports was making his case for pretty strongly? Yeah, say he's already he's already got another M V. P in the books and we're giving him awards for the first M V P Okay. Breakthrough Athlete of the year. Nominees were Za'darius Smith, of course, Big free agent signing for Brian Good against last year and let the Packers in sacks so many big moments and it really started that Monday night football game in Chicago, right? At Soldier Field, and from that moment on, you went Whoa!.

"Handoff and fumbles the football hit from behind. It's picked up by city areas across the 50 States territory. Oh, my goodness it, Darius Smith. Victim triggered the ball loose, made the recovery. The biggest play of the game today. Aaron Jones Rogers under center second inches thick skinned off Roger's rolls, Right throws touchdown. Aaron Rodgers delivers the dagger and it's 36 27 Green Bay. Way Larrabee with the calls on the Packers radio network. Yeah, the fourth down stop by New Orleans looked as though it might give the saints the opportunity they needed. But then take him hell with the games on Ly turnover. He's actually out there, of course, because he's the guy that they liketo have in those short yardage situation. So Drew Brees runs off the field doesn't even stay on the field as a wide receiver, decoy. And Hill gets decked What a great word by Za'darius. Smith and Smith also grabs the fumble and so the on ly turnover of the game. Gives the Packers the ball. They take the lead on a field goal. Then they force another three and out, So it was both defense offense. They force a three and out and then Roger's throws his third touchdown of the game. Things only manage. Three more points the rest of the way. After hours here on CBS Sports Radio. The shame for the Saints to waste nearly 200 total yards from Alvin Kamara and a couple of touchdowns. Drew Brees had his best game of the season so far. But ultimately With the game hanging in the balance. They make this one big mistake, So that's that's one issue. But then there's one more. And Champagne was talking about this after the fact as well. So the fumble stands out, but so do the eight penalties. So far in three games, the Saints Have had more than 300 penalty yards to their credit. 300 penalty yards. I don't care who you're playing, that makes it a lot more difficult to win. I'm not playing playing well enough. You know, let's not fool ourselves. We're making too many mistakes and we're not playing. Down. Not playing disciplined enough on both sides of the ball, and that's really just the truth. And so there are a lot of numbers that looked really similar for Drew Brees for Aaron Rodgers for the defense, but the eight penalties and the fumble those were really the game changers at Sean Payton following the game as we Drew Brees, he was on the sidelines, watching when Taysom Hill coughed up that football and You gotta ask the question. Is it a wise idea? Is it smart to pull your best quarterback off the field in a situation like that? That was a huge stop by the defense. You know, we got the ball at midfield. You know, I think we all felt.

Will Dak Prescott Sign A Long Term Deal With The Dallas Cowboys?

"Prescott. There is two hours and fifty one minutes left until Dak, Prescott, and Dallas Cowboys can work in extension if not he will be under the franchise tag for the next season earning himself thirty one point four million dollars guaranteed. With the potential chance I, guess up after this season or get franchise tag again. He is now the third quarterback in the history of franchise tags and the NFL to play on the franchise tag. If that happens obviously before after four o'clock drew brees that it what the San Diego chargers. He leaves Don Kirk cousins, does it? What The Washington redskins twice? He leaves town, so history says Dak Prescott will play. This franchise tag may be getting again even but not in Dallas Cowboy long-term. If Your Dad, how do you feel? Do you pumped about thirty one point? Four million dollars guaranteed because if I'm looking at that piece of paper I'm like fucking here we go. Yeah. He's got to be torn. I would imagine I'm sure you're excited. Okay? I'm going to be the starting quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys for another year. MC, thirty one million guaranteed, but he doesn't feel like he has that long term security that he wants from the team. McKay. You think I'm your guy. You're willing to pay thirty one MIL for one year. Why doesn't that don't you think you should give me five six year extension and give me big time money for down the road? That's where he's gotTA. Be Thinking, but so if he doesn't do it today though. He will become a free agent. When the League year starts next March right now after the season they can negotiate. There's another window after the season before free agency to work a long term deal. I actually had that happened after I got franchise tag the day before free agency, we worked a five year deal or four year deal, so I never hit the market, but I was franchise tag the year before, so they could still potentially do that, but I guess I five year deal was offered to Prescott. Numerous Times but DAK wants a four year deal. Cowboys won a five year deal and we've been told by everybody around the cowboys and that knows the organization that that is literally. The only holdup is a one year difference so that's very interesting to me because it feels like there's it's much bigger than just a one year difference there. Thirty three to thirty five million dollars offered with over one hundred million dollars guaranteed, so if you look at that, they know that the cowboys won a five year deal that means three years of that deal was guaranteed. The other two were not locked in for five years as opposed to attack once for four, so everybody's assuming he's going to sign that deal. They're not going to get a deal done, but it's interesting because. He could potentially get thirty seven point four or something next year if he gets franchise tag thirty seven point nine if he gets franchise tag again I, don't see them running into the situation next free agency. I don't. There's no way that the franchise tagging him again they would. You would think they get the deal done I think that they're trying to see if he and Mike McCarthy going to work, I honestly believe that I think there's now granted. They made him one hundred million dollar guarantee already, so maybe I'm wrong in thinking

Super Bowl Bound: 49ers and Chiefs

"Did bill. We made it to the Super Bowl. You me and Jimmy Garoppolo. I feel I I may have sweat more watching the NFC championship game. That Jimmy Garoppolo actually swept playing being in the NFC championship game. Bill Barnwell is a senior football writer at ESPN and the host of the bill. Barnwell show so after two weeks Of Extremely Exciting Football Championship weekend did not disappoint niners and chiefs fans disappointed pretty much everyone else or at least anyone who wanted close close games both favorites dominated so let's start with the most dominant team the San Francisco Forty niners bill win the niners packers met earlier earlier. This season. Aaron Rodgers had one of the worst games of his career threw for one hundred and four yards. Tonight he threw for three hundred twenty six yards But the result wasn't much better. Why is that okay? So the first time these two teams played the niners won with an absolutely dominant. Pash Josh Rush Nick. Bosa and his teammates knocked down Aaron Rodgers ten times on Sunday. The only knockdown Aaron Rogers twice and while they did hold them without a first down conversion in the first half both of those games the packers movable pretty consistently I should say after after halftime instead the forty niners otherworldly in a different way on Sunday they ran the ball forty two times for two hundred eighty five yards and four. We're touchdowns averaging nearly seven yards per carry to put that in context. ESPN has a stat called expected. Points with measures how each play impacts team's James Chances of scoring on a given the forty niners racked up the second most rushing. EPA for any team in a game this season and and the most for any single team in a playoff game over the last decade just narrowly beating out the prior record holder. which just happened to be the forty niners? Twenty wanting twelve playoff win over. The Green Bay Packers would Colin Kaepernick. Ran For one hundred. Eighty one rushing yards. So they're leading rusher tonight. I was not Colin Kaepernick. It was re Moster who ran for two hundred and twenty yards by himself. were good has hat trick the first half of the NFC championship game deserves a hat trick of field grade baby bill. Will I am guessing. A decent amount of football fans hadn't heard Ramos before tonight. Okay so you mustard is basically it accident accident in football terms but it's such a cool story so the Shanahan offense has a history of unearthing obscure running back and turning them into stars going back to Mike Shanahan stays in Denver but even among those backs most particularly remarkable case. Liners did everything they could to find a different running back over the past a couple of years. They hand picked a runner who they traded up to nab in the two thousand seventeen draft never played a game for the team. They signed Jerick McKinnon Torres. ACL He's collected more than and twenty one million dollars for the niners without ever playing a single game for the team. This offseason they added. Kevin Coleman from the Falcons who suffered an injury in the first half and that opened up the door from western and most of its story is easy to root for. You heard him talk about it. After the biggest game of his life on Sunday crazy that I've been on seven. Different teams actually still have cut dates every before every game a look at the dates when I got cut not everybody can can deal. Would that type of stressing the pain and agony I went through. I kept the faith to not only myself but whoever gave me the opportunity is organization has done a great job most are made the niners roster as a special teamer at first but after he looked good in limited time last season they gave him a three year extension after playing. Well this season most are just became the first running back. NFL history to top two hundred rushing yards and scored four rushing touchdowns in a single game. That's never happened in the playoffs playoffs before pretty good for a guy who was really an afterthought until the two thousand eighteen season. What's just remarkable? Bill is those two hundred twenty rushing yards. Were nearly three times as many yards as Garoppolo the night as quarterback past for which made for a remarkable stat sheet. There was a point in this football game where according to ESPN stats and Info. Jimmy went ninety four minutes in real time without attempting a pass so I have to ask going into the Super Bowl. Is that a sustainable offensive approach. I mean we all had that friend and in our twenties who got by succeeded solely because they were good looking right now that friend is Jimmy. Garoppolo I mean in the divisional round. He barely through through the football in the conference championship game. He barely through the football. We saw a similar situation with Ryan. Tannehill right over the first two weeks of his post. The season and when Tennessee ran into an offensive juggernaut with the chiefs their offense with Danny Hillis not able to accelerate into a higher gear. Now of course Garoppolo is the one who has to face the chiefs unless the forty niners can shut down the Kansas City. Passing game with their pass rush which isn't out of the question they're going to need to throw the football more quite a bit more. We've seen the niners succeed in games or Garoppolo and to throw the ball at ton with the Saints Win. Maybe as a notable for example but since Garoppolo through that interception against the Vikings in the divisional round cow Shanahan has called seventy one runs against just twelve passes passes even if the niners do end up throwing the ball effectively against the chiefs. It's clear that Shanahan doesn't WANNA put the game on Garoppolo shoulders unless absolutely necessary and that in itself is telling throughout the game bill packers fans were frustrated. Understand police and they seem to be taking out some of their wrath on the coaches arguing. They should have devised better game. Plans to both run the ball more and stop the run and do you think there's anything that Matt Leflore or the Packers Defensive Coordinator Mike Patton could have done differently in this game. Yeah I think so I think to be fair. Shanahan might just ask pedants number. It just felt like you is several steps ahead of the packers defensive coordinator and when pen and tried to adjust it just never seemed to catch up and work there. There was one play I think in the second quarter was a microcosm of everything that went wrong for the packers in this game. They came out in their nickle package with five defensive backs against the forty niners base. He's too back offense which created the size mismatch. The niners pitched the Baltimore and not only did he have a huge hole but he made both safeties with on their tackle attempts downfield win for about thirty yards. pedants struggled to put his players in positions where they could succeed and meanwhile leflore didn't coach like a guy who was a seven point underdog. The packers punted. I believe on their first drive on fourth and one from the fifty yard line. We know the packers are enormously more effective offense with Aaron Aaron Jones on the field but the floor still Jamal Williams their backup running back. Play over thirty percent of the offensive snaps and he didn't really take advantage of move the niners movement Richard Sherman. That was really fascinating during the regular season for the niners and during the vast majority of his time in Seattle Sherman signed up for almost every every snap asked the left cornerback. Defense playing against the right side of the offense. The niners started the game on Sunday. Which chairman on the opposite side of the field on the right side of the defense on the left side of the offense against devante items and while Sharon didn't travel to the left side very frequently? He did do it a few times during the first half. The second half Adams was able to be isolated Sherman over the top for a huge play downfield. I think that played about half of his snaps on either side of the field. I would have liked to have seen for trying to isolate him against German a little more often and take his chances with

MNF Recap Packers Vikings; Beastmode returns

"The packers certainly did not blow the doors off the Vikings Aaron Rodgers and company. They you know. They struggled for large portions of this game on offense against a good vikings demon in a very difficult place to play. But I think the story of this game really will be what a massive egg. The Vikings Kings laid an Wessel. Start with you I know you and I have had our disagreements with Kirk cousins and the Vikings were blamed should be assessed when the vikings go wrong and this does not make me the winner that argument you're right and everything he said it was all right. Dan is declared the winner. Now that is that is not true because a lot of people people didn't show up in this game it's certainly not kirk cousins either seven first downs for Minnesota and four quarters the fewest home game by this organization since Nineteen seventy-one Avenue. One Keith. Hands US was a junior at Clarkston high school at that time senior clocks down high. The man's grandfather. Wes speak to it. Come on Kirk cousins. Put the team on your back when they need you. Well like I said on Thursday you and I see more IDA. I'd on this than than it seems like. I don't care what his record is on Monday night football that is immaterial it like somehow nine Monday night games are better than than Sunday games. I might have been true in one thousand nine hundred three three. I don't think that's been true lately. Thirdly we've seen this before he didn't come up. When the redskins needed a late season victory he didn't come up big when the Vikings of two thousand eighteen needed a late season victory and he didn't come up big tonight and like you said the blame can be assessed to a running game? That didn't exist. An offensive line that got worked over by the packers Akers front seven a defense that got some turnovers but also allowed one hundred and fifty yards to Aaron Jones. A coach who punted down thirteen with three and a half minute or four minutes left in the game. There's a lot of blame to go around but I you cannot escape. The Kurt cousins led an offense that had seven first downs. And like you said since one thousand nine hundred seventy. One was the last time that happened in Vikings home game. This is one of the most disappointing performances. Any team is head all

Packers' win over Vikings

"Bit about the Packers and Vikings the game last night in a victory for Green Bay as they win the NFC north a six time that our Rogers is quarterback the Green Bay Packers to an NFC north title there twelve win team but they're not getting the respect that they deserve or is it a case of you look at those twelve victories bogus and say I know they're twelve wins but you know are they really that good of a football team you are a ball bill Parcells used to say you are what your record is so the Packers of one twelve of the fifteen games that they play this year they've got one to go I mean that's pretty darn good when you think about it and they've got an opportunity to be the number one seed in the NFC they win and the forty Niners lose our they're gonna be the number one seed so all in all all avenues will go through Lambeau field for the Green Bay Packers yeah which is not where you want to play in January slash you know we're December slash January but I just I don't be it's fits all that both the this game last late leaves us wondering about both of these teams right what what how good actually the Vikings and how good actually are the Packers and I I think the easy thing is to say man the Packers play defense last night and they ran the football if they can do those two things consistently here the next couple weeks they're gonna be a tough out but I I I still in stock on Aaron Rodgers because I went into that game paying close attention to him I'd read it I guess it was last week an article about how there been a developing split between Rogers early and late in games and the Packers are a team that kind of script to be how they're gonna start a game they have the feel they can have their first like ten or fifteen please planned out and once Rogers huddled recently had a left that kind of scripted portion the game plan all of their production had kind of dwindle it'll be like they were they were scoring points early in the struggling late I want to see the pattern continued last night and he never really got it going last night no and the three turnovers early and you want the point we made almost the beginning of the show back in our number one and you know I I I want to believe in them I will especially playing at home in limbo but I I know if if he can't throw it and they can't catch it and they can't score points that way I I can't trust the defense enough against San Francisco or New Orleans we're Seattle your ticket to get them through a game anywhere so they've got to me ask you this is our Jones good enough to carry the team offense I don't think so you don't think so I I think young with what you saw last night a hundred fifty four yards on the ground he's had an unbelievable year the albums have been an issue right but you know catching it and run it out of the backfield Jones has been an absolute start for the Packers could not be less about Rogers could be less about his brilliance of a signal caller and more about running the football winning at the point of attack in a winning time of possession getting after the quarterback they can certainly do that defensively but offense of Lee can be less about Rogers pulling a miracle out of his rear end and could it be more about Aaron Jones basically wrote it down your throat hit list yeah I get it its it's there's two distinct ways to look at it that this is that this is good news that they actually have a complimentary Aaron Rodgers throwing the field for a long time they haven't had a good game and he was able to throw it have success throwing it despite no running game I just I still ng feel that they need that passing attack to be at maybe dynamic is asking too much based on the weapons around with us and who we throw the football to but I still think they just need more than they've gotten over the last month or so that's fair and and listen I I don't I don't necessarily disagree with that especially in this kind of a league especially the fact that neither you or I can really trust that Packers defense even after what we witnessed last night but let me ask the question this way is it a case of not having the weapons around him or is it a case of a regression in the quarterback I don't think if any regression is there I don't think that it's anything more than that and kind of the normal regression you've had you'd have to be at this point of your career I don't I don't think he's falling off more like in any significant way he just wanted me because he is always you throw devante Adams right Jimmy Graham is a what it once was but should be great still good target yeah all right and although it it sound I don't know if it's Jimmy Graham I don't know if its defenses I don't know if it's a Rogers thing but but grant as we get targets anymore no it is not getting the target but it but you would we would both agree that Jimmy Graham can if the boss coming his way Jimmy grams gonna make the reception I like Geronimo Alison I like don't think Rogers does no I I I but that's what that's also a problem to where you do limit yourself offense of Lee if you're targeting one player sixteen times right over the course of the game I mean that's where you could look at the regression maybe not the physical regression but maybe it's the mental regression of Allah Rogers where he is too too much of a lean toward one player and maybe that's where it's hurting the offense where he's not spreading the football around enough to where he's building up the confidence of young players rather because while did our Rogers bogus she was never got it yeah I looked at the library not being totally a product of guys around him I don't I Rogers guy that you know you me and it Palade a chap could be the wide receivers and our Rogers of find a way to get the football you're still less and less of that as he

Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers: What You Need To Know

"A great a this was a fun match of the NFC north Chicago Bears have won three in a row the Green Bay Packers have now won two in a row does green they keep winning or does a Chicago Bears keep winning that's a tough one because the bears I mean this is basically the bears season if they lose this game they have no hopes of of the playoffs so and I look at I look a Green Bay and air Rogers the second best player on on this offense because Aaron Jones is the key I mean everything goes through him his receive an outback feel him making big plays and and and really using his speed and his quickness to make things happen I don't trust Mitch Mitchell travesty I just you know I think he's been doing a great job of running using his legs and making plays but I'm a ball with Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers I think I think it's important for them to keep pace and and to keep that you know kind of this is that the playoff seeding where they're at I like Green Bay I'm really what the bears because you said it the the need to have to win this game in the sense of they lose the playoffs are over but real quick here's a statistic that's mind boggling Aaron Rodgers is thirty six years old he just turned thirty six years old I know we set the first what three or four years of his career June is only thrown eighty two career interceptions including only to this to this year right that's right that's it that's unbelievable you think about that that's efficiency at

"You to be cardinals law to it's a fantastic play for It's already somebody who has been targeting this week so yeah that's awesome all right. You Got Adam to match up with. I hope I snipe Neil because I'm taking a raider. Oh I know you're taking my guy that's it. I'm taking a raider animal taking a raider. Who leads the team in targets over the last three weeks and that's hunter Renfro yet? All right yeah you WANNA buy swear it was Go ahead good tonight the right now. It's a phenomenal plus matchup for Oakland. they're playing the winless Cincinnati bengals. They're playing at home. They're favored by double digits. I'm in and like I just mentioned. RENFRO has seen more targets in the last three weeks than during waller than Williams like ease is getting the looks there and honestly. I think that this is going to be one of those games. Where it's GonNa be like Oprah you know you get a touchdown touchdown everybody gets the touchdown? Yeah I mean you want pieces of this offense just because it's going to be such great matchup and I love him and he's only four thousand on Decay Salvi playing around there I think he's perfect for lack of the week. Nice Nice thanks for stealing my guy. Thanks for backups. is also you know a Zeta-jones Jones who hasn't done anything yet. Said after Renfro caught a ball touchdown two weeks ago. He's like any no rookie stuff right. There has big time and renfrew has come to me like lives exist John's but no I don't know real football. Don't do that man. Wow Scott it really insulting this shit my boy all right. No problem Now that I had to scramble for somebody is Mark Brown. Okay Hey for this or that to not now fair if he's healthy and playing. I think he's totally fine. Okay so I'm not I'm not as healthy. It looks healthy. I had this. I had no. He's not looking at a photo. Looks pretty good. I have this thing I always pick players. They get hurt by Sunday. Show comes out all right. I think he's Ellie. So I'M GONNA I'm GonNa roll with Markey's Brown because as a as into this recording. He's healthy Samsung enroll with him. Since you took my Renfro so now I have to hold their eight does worse than the Raven Yeah so I'm GONNA take him. He's been balling out. What is on good last week His quarterback is arguably the best quarterback in the entire. NFL in so. It's hard to He's playing Houston. Houston has been added and cornerbacks cornerbacks left and right off the waiver wire and trader for them and all this kind of stuff trying to patch up their secondary. So Yeah I look for Markey's Brown to exploit them and I think he can. China beat both guys so I feel good about it. Is there a worst wide receiver core on the NFL. The Ravens have overall group. Probably maybe not in Lamar Jackson is still. I mean he rushes but the Washington redskins. Millie Yes that's just one guy by any Niamey maybe dress. Oppressing is true man. This may be the worse buffalo that Washington Buffalo Buffalo. You Know Buffalo's got John Brown. John Brown no man. They got stuff now stuff. Everybody's got some stuff that's important ports allege that they got some stuff and that might just. Yeah Yeah For Jackson as a man nothing short amazing. I think we're actually going to beat you guys this week. Now I'm more concerned more about depot or hunter. Hey we all rookie receivers. Oh look at that. Oh that was not intentional. Folks that is just how instinct we are find a better trio of podcasters who more in sync the story. You won't find him against something Josh. I'm just glad to Adam has not broken into an instinct song after the new kids on the block. He was saying that before we say bye. Let's go all right. So Murky Brown deebo Samuel Hunter Renfro put them down. We'll dope a twitter poll. This'll be interesting to see the people say on this week. I think thing we all picked. This is probably the closest. We've all picked together as far as like August upside a rookie. All three of these days I will probably all three. This guy's deal if you win. We want some credit all right. Let's move over to fowler no foul and get closer to close in this episode out Fowler. No foul I have three of them three foul or no fouls. The first one is an interesting one. I gotta I gotTa admit the the. NFL has announced that Colin Kaepernick has an open tryout for teams this Saturday. He came out of nowhere. Even for Colin Kaepernick people. It came out of nowhere. No one knew what was happening. They just call them up and they're like. Hey you got two hours agree or not agree on this. WE'RE GONNA release to the media and you have an open tryout and Colin Kaepernick says. He stayed in shape. He's waiting for this opportunity so he's going to be there. But there's been a lot of across the League in Media and the Internet everywhere Dr that some people feel that the NFL is playing games with Colin Kaepernick. That this is some kind of weird you know. They don't know if it's something that they're trying to do to avoid Blah suits or other kinds of issues or if there's some kind of NFL team who may be interested in Cabernet and they're using this kind of protect them so they can kind of watch it have a trial form. Ormond signed him. Blake is kind of like under the under the roof of the NFL doing it. So it's like no one will judge them for it. There's all kinds of weird stuff going around so the fowler no foul is the. Nfl Is Playing Games with Colin Kaepernick by schedule him for a workout on short notice. This Saturday mind you. While all the teams coaches jams traveling or getting ready for Games Fowler. Novell jump in no foul. It seems super sketch. I feel like this is almost like when something weird comes out in the media. Everybody's Blake was the government covering up like I'm wondering what the NFL's covering up right now like was there a domestic violence thing that the one under the radar because it seems team so weird it came up all of a sudden. It's going to be this weekend like you said I mean teams are playing like who's I mean supposedly Washington's rumored soot becoming to watch so I guess one team at least is scouting him but it seems weird that the NFL's putting on on In like a team that has requested for him to try out or to work out for them. I mean everything about it. It screams more publicity than real. I don't know yet Super Shady for sure what are you. What do you think about this Josh? Your thoughts on this man. It is as you but I believe that there have just been like GM's like counting. The table will give us We need capital Gathered from US and they're finally giving in the thing is like why do they need the NFL. You this is it because they don't want to be judged for forgive him a chance or like what what is that you know. Does anyone by the narrative. A I don't know like they kind of need the NFL's approval like yeah. It's okay to sign him now like do you think that's what this is or ninety. Maybe neither was the thing on my God guys figured it out. Colin Kaepernick goes to Washington and they finally changed their name from the horribly. Ably racist thing that they've been calling themselves for years yards great marketing and then Jeff Bezos buys a team. I love it. The brilliant this is this is amazing piece together our NFL fantastic is the best and Epstein didn't kill himself Onto definitely did so. Yeah there's a weird stuff going on here all of us agree this some shady shaped by the NFL. We don't know what the false on. It's interesting to see how it plays out but it definitely doesn't look cool right now from the surface from the outside looking in. I hope that we're all just you. You know it's just You know media frenzy right now. Everyone's thinking of You know all these weird things that are happening and hopefully really team does come out and sign this guy give them a chance so I hope hope they hope it's a positive outcome of this and not just a waste of all of our time and something to disrespect cabinet in some weird way so I I would just love her to end up in Baltimore. More behind Lamar Jackson. It's funny it's funny. It's such a good situation. It would be amazing if you ended up there. Yeah Carolina Panther Safety. Eric Reed has actually actually camera. Next Friends says that Colin Kaepernick was Jackson before Jackson. Like he's like just like him. Basically big arm can run and smart guy you know but for his friend man come on all right. Yeah I I hope he does it. We'll see we'll see how this plays out it's also where the NFL teams in kind of like quiet about it. When they're actively move on like what the Hell is going on here man all right number two? I thought this was an interesting one. Little Mix martial arts here. Adam Nick Diaz wants to fight for him is to avenge his brother's loss and this fight must the happen Him Honestly I'm gonNA say foul Did you see the interview with Ariel I. We did so. I don't know how you felt but me watching it like it. C. T. I don't know if the just like drinks and smokes way too much but he like Nick Diaz has always kind of had a way of talking but he seemed way more out of it than normal And for him to be like trying to come back now supposedly and to try to come in and fight for head like it to me like it cool in theory but looking at him. I'm dislike I don't know like are you really going to bring anything toward it mouse model like you haven't fought professionally in. What almost five years now lake? I just I don't see it happening and Jorges should I mean he should be fight the title next like he's done everything that he should need to do like he's got this bad motherfucker title great but like the real title a key. He needs to be next in line or he needs to get like a gigantic money fight and I don't really know what else there is out there for them so now I don't I don't know nick. Data's would be a big money fight but I I honestly after watching the interview high kind of leaning more than I don't WanNa see it. Yeah it was it was interesting. Even Mazda responded like a radio station They were planning clip of it and Nick Diaz cops take a walk and it might as well as I. It's GonNa take a walkers WANNA fight like owner. Saying what he what he's getting at here like what and this is like not to disrespect the. Yeah there anybody. What Nate Diaz has better communication on the ninety S? And that's like you know Nate Diaz wasn't even talk great so as like navy as was all over the place man like it was hard even by the important senses together felt like sometimes so again. I don't know if that's like a social anxiety it I don't know what that was but it was weird to see for sure. And maybe that's why he doesn't do a lot of interviews and stuff man maybe there is some kind of anxiety or something. I don't know Josh. You'RE NOT GONNA be. May you know a lot about it. I guess right but do you think that's cool for older brother to fight the fighter who just beat his little brother or you think it's a narrative we don't need I think it's Kinda lame lame you guys been out for five years ears up. I think he probably just going about whipped. Yes it'd be fun. I think you know it'd be fun to see in a sense but you know like you guys. Maybe it's a tired narrative at this point The last one half of you guys. Here is Jaguar..

"Think that he definitely has the chance to have some huge weeks and I think it's more more like this year is going to be tough for the giants. In general to you know have houses of Games But with him being twenty two years old Rian from a dynasty perspective. I think he's got gigantic upside. All right let's move on. We have another Guy Derrick Henry on this list who before we go any further is on by this week We are aware that you're aware of that. Ouch Yeah he's on by this week but he's had a big season season so far man and I I've seen a lot of talk Derrick Henry on the time line these days and it seems like I don't know it seemed like some people aren't crazy about them and then some people super crazy about him so curious where Youtube Fall. Let me say the rest of the year. We got a bye week this week. And then we have the Jaguars. The colts the raiders. The Texans and the saints the Week Sixteen does any that get you guys really excited with Henry or are you part of this strange group. That's not excited about Henry How you guys on this one? I mean I was in last week's podcast like if you can trade for Derrick Henry now is the time to to do it. I said that last week he went off in was a either the top or second highest fantasy score last week. I can't recall for sure. But like Derrick Henry is the RV five Pr Leagues Right now. And this is the beginning of the year like everyone has the impression that Derrick Henry Henry this monster at the end of the year will. That's coming so if that's possible. That's what's going to happen with. People seem to be afraid of this their upcoming schedule and Tennessee. Not being in plus matchups. And you know him being game scripted out. I guess but I mean to me it's Derrick cadre and they're going to continue to feed them ball and the colder against the more they're gonNA feud the ball and I just think that you know with how will his performed I don't you can trade them for anything outside of if you're getting like a Dalvin Cook I don't even think I'd trade him for Aaron Jones at this point because I think that down the stretch he he to me. It has huge upside and I want on my team. Yeah and this is like a PSA to the fans community. I understand. The raiders are on the schedule. So you're scared but don't be it's all right it's all right it's going to be okay. This is Derrick Henry. He is if we're talking about trust like he is what you trust them. The titans like that. Like if you're going to trust anything it's him right so he's had a great year so far there's nothing other than the raiders on the schedule. A free two points that he's a struggle so I mean I I don't get I don't get I don't get the flack. He's getting an atom. It's important that you said he's number five. MPR like nobody would have believed that right like before. Everyone always like this guy is like you know. So he's not GonNa be good. NPR formats as good. And it's just like he's proved that wrong and so like I don't understand why any alleyways Guinea slack arena. I just don't get it. He doesn't have the floor that somebody is getting six targets game right GonNa have but he just he has the the ceiling and I think also probably goes back to a lot of like if you're playing in leagues where you start at six or seven guys. It might be tough to start a Derrick Henry who doesn't have floor but if you're starting titter eleven guys does ceiling becomes a lot more important. Yeah man like Derek. I don't get it. I don't get the hate. I like a man like Adam said. He's only going to get better going the rest of this year as a as a as a Katina Procedo the guys wear down. Henry's is GonNa hurt defenses man. I don't get it. We all trust them. That's very obvious we don't really need it explained. We're not to say we've already explained it The next one thing thing allocated to that just because it's funny it doesn't really has to do with Derrick Henry but Derek Henry's the RV five right now he is one hundred seventy fantasy points. NPR League's Christian. McCaffrey outscored him by over a hundred fantasy points in one less game. That's crazy. Just like what is he doing. I don't know but it's definitely time to sell over Montgomery for sure This this is the window. Let's move onto another guy. You mentioned just a couple of seconds ago. Adamant as Aaron showns. Aaron Jones has made our trust issue list. Anyone want to establish this. Yeah I do trust because I think this is like one of my biggest hits on the year I hit home. I'll admit it all all over Aaron Jones. I mean he's one of my like three highest stone best ball running backs and I. Yeah I mean proof move I feel. I feel almost like I lucked out. Because he's had some monster touchdown games but really at this point. I think the Green Bay just just like I S- crazy but I think that Aaron Rodgers bought into somebody else's offense and it's working and the away they're able to run the ball. I mean both Williams and Jones have been super viable but Aaron Jones is the one getting the touchdowns man and I just. I gotTA keep rolling out there every single week. He's the Is just it's all touchdowns though like he's you know he's very much in a in a timeshare is getting sixty percent of the work. It's it's all on the Red Zone touches touchdowns Josh you can say. He's the Willfuller running backs I just like. Do we think touchdown street continues. That's I mean has he. He's been like bad. Had An amazing and then like okay okay and then be amazing and bad and then it just like I don't know I don't know if it's predictable in any way or if we look back NC exactly where he's done bad and why you know why those cases have happened. But I mean like Adam said he's had some monster games and then he's had games where he's like basically basically been like three points four points He does have you know he catches the ball at that. That share kind of concerns me a little bit. I feel like especially as the season goes on. Are we concern. Turn it all of those share more and more or that will lean one way or the other. I don't know that will change. You know I always. I'm always afraid of of splits. That are so split like this that what you know and maybe that is I look back on the games that he did bad. Did Williams do amazing or do they just both do bad. I mean Williams has been really really consistent cent. Yeah But I think we over over concern ourselves with these split Backfield's in the NFL today. I mean remember Alvin. Kamara was the top five fantasy running back. You know like with Mark Ingram in the backfield like you don't need a ton of touches and the thing that Aaron Jones owns is doing is. He's succeeding both in the running game in the passing game. It's not like he is only urging weeks. He's only had one reception but just three weeks ago against Kansas City. He'd seven receptions for one hundred and fifty nine yards. The Guy has an insane skill. Set the spans. Basically anything you could want from running back. I think what Green Bay's doing. They're utilizing him smart. They know they can't the overuse him and have him for the play offs so they think that Williams is capable back. They're realizing him as well. I think for fantasy out can let me be disappointed. I mean this is the workload is getting these Arby's three. NPR Leagues So. I have a feeling it's either going to stay pretty consistent or have the potential to go up still because he's not receiving that big of a workload and if that workload increases his fancy reduction could as well. Yeah I I can't say I don't trust him I I certainly trust them but I also trusted. He's going to have games where he may not be so so So so much of the factor I guess and again I don't I haven't looked close enough to see exactly why that is or what else happened in those games but I feel like you know you have to take the good the bad you. Now he's going to have those huge gains where he's GonNa when weeks and you hope that if he does this appear again. That is not in the game that matters in the playoffs overall Josh do you trust Aaron Condones. Now Oh now I mean if I had him I think you keep playing but like I'm just waiting for the bottom under drop out If he doesn't score a touchdown the best he's been rb thirty three. There's just there's no god there's no floor. The floor is fallen out. Adam sorry buddy jazz entrust them. He does not trust Aaron Jones. So you can make a lot more. Derrick Henry is getting all opportunity so we so would you so when a Derrick Henry Jones trade happened. That's interesting I think it's totally fair. I honestly I think that's fair. Verron both dynasty and redraft. I don't know which side I'd want. More on. Roads is a better player. Like he's he's a very get player. I don't think that's the issue eight. You know. He has passing game. Talent guys are above some pretty impressive names on the list you know. They're both out there in the top five so I mean it's hard to argue either one that I mean hard to say you can't trust either one of these guys. They're both top five. It's just a matter of you know when the fancy playoffs come around you know how. How do you feel you know? How do you feel about putting it all on one of these guys and you know and them carry Gary Your team to the promise land I think you have to trust them. I'M NOT GONNA lie. Most teams would be better off with Aaron Jones in the lineup and than what. I'm starting at running back. But it does just feel like he's gotten a pretty good ride on the touchdown variants. That's what's that's what's going on. It may be a continues if green. Bay's offense keeps clicking. Keep deciding Xining to run in the red zone than I guess he has a good chance of continuing. It's GonNa be fun to follow the file. These two guys Actually real quick. I was just thinking it. This is kind of the weird thought but I did so many drafts this year. That like stuff like this is ingrained in my memory. These guys were going in like the third round you easily could have started a fantasy draft this year Christian McCaffrey. Aaron Jones Stare at camry interest dominated killing it. Yeah I don't think I have any of those. I don't either GonNa be well aware if I did and Aaron Jones is on by this week's of yet your Brian Hills is your felon right right. Josh Right Right. That's right. He's your guy all right. That's it for trust issues with three players that we were pondering this week. Let's move over to our WRANGHAM. We Josh Josh puts them working on this one again man. Josh is putting in work on these notes. He's got the showdown slate. He actually added names this week. I see Josh. I'M GONNA ACKNOWLEDGING LEGITIMATE ACKNOWLEDGE IT. I'm going to acknowledge your your work ethic here bucks in saints the showdown slate. We're going to rank them. Are you prepared. Prepare for this item. I mean I have actual questions for Josh Are you intending to have more of a DFS slant and actually you based upon their salaries or we just talking straight up..

"I don't know who's going to take me at the Thomas like I thought I was just happy I had perform well. I felt like I had made a name for myself coming from Utah felt like was kind of underdog. So not a lot of people knew about me. But after the Cobb on I left, there are people at least knew a little bit about me or knew my name. Well, he's certainly know your name now Aaron Jones that's for damn short. And the way that you are balling out to me, if you don't mind me opinionated in front of you. You weren't used enough last year. How would you respond to something like that that statement responded that is I just I'm just ready? When my number's called a coach told me go in the game go into gave it on make the most of every opportunity again. I I think that's what everybody should do. And when you when you don't know when you're next step's gonna come when you try to make the best of every opportunity in you're playing ball to the wall. He's which. No, you're talking about footballs dukes. No. But by the way, that's very clapping for very politically. Correct. Answer over there. Good job. You're very good at very good at that part of the game to look I mean to me everyone was talking about Roger's needing to have some sort of pressure removed offensively, you're the yearly guy that can come out of the backfield. You can catch it. We saw what you did against Seattle. What was it like in the huddle with Aaron Rodgers towards the end of the McCarthy stay there was it is uncomfortable as as it was reported to be at all. No, it was never comfortable uncomfortable. Anytime I've been there. I mean, I'm not in the headset. So I don't know what's being said and communicate in in the quarterbacks headset. But I know these in the huddle for us. It was never uncomfortable. It was always clear cut where we're going to do and go to line. And if it's a bad, look, we're gonna out of the bad look into something we practiced all week. So what is Aaron Rodgers relationship with you? What does he say? To you. What what do you say to him? I love Aaron. I mean, he's he's a great guy. He's a leader. He he just comes in. He he make sure everybody's in the right mood like he's getting you in the right mood. If you come in and see see you down. He's going to joke with you try to get pick you up. He'll just stop by. How you doing today just little things? And you know, if the best point your team can do that anybody else can do that. Do you mean by pick you up like he sees if you're down or something more energy or something like I mean? I mean, every it's a no nobody wants come into work. Everyday people are going to have their their days where they don't wanna come in and has a sixth sense. And he can sense that and he'll come over there. Hey, let's go is is okay. Blah, blah, blah. And or will be on the field, and we'll stall driving come out and he'll get he'll get down on his knee. Anyway, are this where we're going to do? We're gonna go down. I'm I I recall Dallas my rookie year. I think it was like a minute minute left in the game comes down gets in the huddle on an ISA are yards over yards over Tom outs, getting outta balanced yards. Fires and to class gets down. We're gonna come out and we're gonna win this game. We're gonna drop down. We're gonna win this game. In those are back show to to devante atoms and win the game. Was this the playoff game at your? No. This was during the regular season two thousand seventeen. That's got to being something when he comes in. And he's basically say this is what we're gonna do. And then you go ahead and do it. Sorry. I mean is that I never wanted out and we came in the huddle. And so that never once. Right. What's have you had a conversation where you new head coach, actually? Okay..

"There were twenty ninth in passing yards per game. Now, they weren't they were seventh in rushing yards per game. So that was a positive, but how much of that Mike is a is a function of yet. Marcus mariota who ain't Aaron Rodgers. Which by the way, might be the nicest thing that's been said about Marcus mariota this here. I mean like he had a top. Year said a tough NFL career. Honestly, where he's had flashes of things where you see like there's a franchise guy in there. But there's been some there's been long stretches of poor quarterback play some of that's been hampered by injury. And you know in but still like, I don't know that you saw anything Tennessee offenses here where you said, that's the guy. I want in charge of Aaron Rodgers. Yeah. We don't know for sure if he's going to be good at this job or not. We just don't know. We haven't seen it yet. But we can try to look at some trends here, we saw a pretty balanced offense. When he was with McVay with the Rams that we saw very run heavy offense last year. But was that Mike able did he can bring in Dion Lewis? A you know, we're gonna use these two backs. We're going to run the football, Marcus mariota. It's very possible. By the way. Right. Able could've said like I want to run the ball with Henry Louis and I'm gonna play good defense. And that's how we're gonna try to win these games because we don't think Mario can really air it out or that. We don't really feel confident in our weapons outside of Corey Davis in the passing game. And remember, they lose Delaney Walker. Right. So there was a big piece of their their passing game as well. And so maybe the adjust when that happens, right? So so we don't know that for sure, but they were run heavy. No question both seasons as OC the past two years, very the touchdowns lean towards the running backs. He's a lot of running at the goal line Todd Gurley obviously Derrick Henry this past season to your. They were fourth in rush percentage. They were second in red zone. Rush percentage. Go under Matt leflore? Yeah. So my the thing that jumped out to me is yet Todd Gurley obviously exceptional. He had a great fantasy season two years ago under a leflore as the this past season. It started slow again, maybe they were like we're bringing in Dion Lewis. He's gonna be early guy. He was it didn't work out. But when they turn to Derrick Henry he turned into a fantasy stuff as well. So could that be good news? Farren jones. That's my question. You see girl you see Henry could Aaron Jones the next man up under a leflore so far so good at least with the running backs in his. I mean, you know, like I was talking about free Aaron Jones since last summer. So you know, there's there's not a bigger Aaron Jones fan than I am. And so I I took this as good news for Aaron Jones. And also, by the way, I thought one of the reasons might McCarthy got fired was his refusal to use Aaron Jones, which you know. I mean, like the there was talk about they like Jamal Williams and pass protection. Then you watch the games you like Aaron Jones is just as good if not better than Himalayas and pass protection. And you'd see Aaron Rodgers dropping hints the media about trying to get air Jones more involved. So I never understood sort of stubbornness there with Mike McCarthy on his running backs. But I do think that that has to be a piece of it that your new head coach, you need an Rogers on your side because I got news for you. If they have to choose like, then get another coach like he can't get another like one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time that just sort of your lap. And honestly think this is one of those moves was to try to. Get the most out of Aaron Rodgers while he's still in his prime. And so they believe he's the guy to do that. It'll be interesting to see does it change your rank on air Rogers. We to your point. We don't know we consider speculate all we want about whether Matla floors offense of play calling was due to personnel or or tendencies how much influenced Advair and Rabl have etc..
