"Just turn to the politics of politics. Verdy Sanders was removed from the primary ballot in New York essentially canceling the New York presidential primary e. You listeners of the show have known for a long time that I've been pissed about the primary schedule for a very long time and now I don't even get fucking vote. I mean never mind. I didn't get to vote for my preferred candidate. Was Elizabeth Ward. I'm still award Democrat. I don't even just get to vote at all. What okay so everyone knows how I fuck feel Aaron. How do you feel I'm the same so distort be a novel even though I know it's such a small baby step but that's how it happened. Little dot letting you raise time Liz. It's yet it just feels if feels a little eerie at I. You know I hate to be alarmist when there's so many big issues going but this is a big issue. I mean that's sort of a cornerstone of our country is voting so it feels. We are that you're just not allowed to and I'll say if it was if the shoe was on the other foot if this was a republican primary going on and they did it the Democrats would be incensed. You'd be there fascists. You know and then but since we're doing it well Blah Blah Blah. I don't know if it feels very icky well. Let me make one point on that front. Aaron they basically most Republican parties in most of the states canceled their primaries. They just canceled the Brad out so that he couldn't have challenges. So they are fascists. Just just on that front but no it's it's terrible. I mean first of all we already are. We're having a primary. We're having state and local election. You know primary elections. You know it was interesting because I heard Cuomo surprisingly say something decide. Something Pretty Progressive. Which is that. They're going to mail an application for an absentee ballot to every how every registered voter. Excuse me in New York so we could vote vote by mail. We want to and they would have to keep open some polling places for whatever for people who didn't want to do that or didn't get them whatever so that that was great. I was like okay that we're moving toward vote by mail which we have to do on and then comes the you know the board of elections not cuomo supposedly but. I don't believe that I'm saying that we're just not going to have a presidential that will add some expense and that's just outrageous for so many reasons. We're already having one if if that was the only thing on the ballot. Then I might be a little bit sympathetic. Probably not right. The public health the public health citation would make more sense. If that was the only thing on the back there are so many other things on the ballot. Exact they you know. There's primary challenges in a lot of these congressional districts. You know it makes no sense you know we still have to go. I mean I still lick physically have to vote I mean. Hopefully I'll be able to do it by mail or whatever I suppose I mean so. It makes no sense to me at all that the thing that was going to originally be printed at the top of the ballot is just not being printed there anymore which does make it seem like an anti the. I. I've never been one of those anti Bernie people you know. I'm not a Bernie person in general though embrace a lot of his policies. But I've always been like the times when they Kreil. That's Anti Bernie everything anti-burn all right. Let's calm down about that but this in particular because he said I want to collect as many delegates as I can so that I can use them at the Democratic convention as leverage to make you know to get my ideas onto the platform in that makes sense to me. This feels like Anti Bernie Jump On that bandwagon. It's a provocation. You know at a time when Biden is going to have a hard enough time. United the uniting the party around him at a time when many sanders supporters expressing doubts about. Biden at a time when many of them still believe falsely. I might add That the primary was rigged against Bernie in two thousand sixteen. You're giving them giving them something actually kind of real that. Yeah no that officialdom is doing to slight Bernie and I think it's terrible. I do also you know the some of those Bernie voters would only do anything because Bernie was on the ballot. Which sucked right that. They're that way but at the same time it does. It may have effect on turnout for these other race the down ballot and the Progressive Down Ballot people. Well maybe that's part of the point. I don't know but yeah maybe maybe that's part of the point. It's anti progressive at Lindsey. Boylan who is a primary challenging jerrold? Nadler has been on. This show pointed out that she's you know she's concerned about turn out. It just seems like this is designed to fuck with turnout. So you guys GonNa give this a fucking straight up D. MINUS This was really terrible. Bad Bad bad on the board of Elections Bat on the Democrat on the DNC. For not. I don't know responding more raising hell even if it's not even if they can't do anything it is if they raised hell it might make a difference but yeah there it. Is You know what an in general fuck this primary schedule. I've said it a thousand times four. It is a nightmare. Call Tom Perez. Everybody go to Democrats DOT ORG and fucking Holler at that guy. Let them know All right well. Let's move onto the other side of politics. Which is the. Donny is polling badly in swing states. Sarah Hughes surprised to hear that o finally my God you know it's taken sixty thousand dead. Americans and more than a million Corona virus cases to put a little crack in his approval on. So you know. I wasn't surprised I was surprised. Remember in the first couple of weeks after the pandemic his approval rating went up. And all of us. How can this be happening? You know if you're really paying attention you know how much of it is his fault but you know I think drinking bleach was maybe the last straw even for some trump. You people so so. Yeah it's great and and I'm glad that he's behind and I'm glad that he's freaking out and yelling those people 'cause that's always good. Yeah the drinking bleach Aaron. Do you think that was like the the nail in? It's not a coffin that he lives in. Its but it's you know the the zip up on the body bag that Allen. You know what? I'm trying to say arid what do you think save me? I think the bleach was a the bleach was obviously bad and I think even the most ardent trump what about centrists to has to be like well. That is so stupid but yeah. I'm surprised I I am not. I still am not hopeful or optimistic because every.

It's so good so that being said I would love for us to sort of have our creative juices flow and see if there are any nicknames. We can use to come up with some of these people all under name here. I and he's sort of been top of mind. Hopefully this'll be easy. Do we have a nickname for Tony that we can assign from flavor of Love House? Cue Ball Yeah but it's got to be like Q. Hyphen Mall this episode specific. It's like extortion. But spelled with an axe like torsion. You know yeah or let's see I'm sure there was someone called chains with Z. As I don't know that feels the COP thing change changes that's like Dean from last season. Let's see because usually it's based on like some some like physical attribute I would say is like most of the time because also on I love New York which is a successor is supposed to flavor of love. She also names all of her contestants New York and so they get the you know. Like twelve pack Or like white boy or Mr Boston. Those sort of classic names of I think my favorite was pootie. Dude or Gee we'd there were a lot of t's there was like T. We t-boned team money. I remember there.

"Don't want to buy. No let's do it. It's all your call. Oh God okay Yup okay. We are eliminating one off. The Board Dow was the ten thousand fire token K. Is exactly whereas could be worse? He still have the quarter of a million and the one hundred million one hundred million. If I'm only one hundred thousand fire token case left on the board okay so I'm closing my eyes and I'm moving my finger around. This board could sniff frantic faction wherever it lands. I'm going to go the opposite direction. Oh yes e okay all right. I'M GONNA choose case number ten please. He's number ten. Okay let's go ahead and open that one up it is guys. It is the one fire token. Yes the board not in your case. Congratulations that's huge okay. So one from the upper tier and one from the lower eliminated. Yo that's right. Yeah okay so we're getting down to the wire here. There are four total cases in play. Your case may contain a quarter of a million buyers. The other cases are the hundred thousand. One Thousand Fire Tokens or the ten fire tokens. Now I am getting. Oh what what. Oh is this a is this a sound effect? I'm trying to play on my phone. Maybe guys to hear that no. It's the softest phone ring in his pocket. Deep inside of it goes in. My other. Purse always stored as phone backstage. And he's gotTa go get it all right. We are getting a deal from the banker. Now let me tell you. Banker is not happy. You guys that you knock one fire again off the board but the banker is willing to offer you. Eighty seven thousand. Seven hundred and fifty. Three Fire Tokens Up The two of you say deal or no deal now. Let me throw this out there. If you say.

"Up. It's interesting and I talked about this actually in my alumni chat this week with Albert who was like one of her partners in crime in South Pacific and he vocalized a similar thing. I think for me comes down to two things. One is that you know she wanted into the finale with as you put it out errand more reputable players in coach and ozzy the you can expect more. People would be rooting for them inherently. Because they've seen more of them and I will say that I think whether because of the people around her or just a story line. The season really was not about her. She got a good amount of airtime. But it really was about Ozzy Coach. Cochran and brand enhance and everyone else sort of had their moment. So when you have some of those people get overwhelmed by character like Sophie in the end it does let Peoples Express this opinion of like why her she didn't deserve it because we weren't told why she won so I can understand why she feels the way I mean. I've certainly seen a good amount of survivor winner. Rankings where they've had near the bottom but I think it's always a good reminder as well of like how winning a million dollars didn't does not necessarily erase all feelings of ill will you have towards your time or towards the fan base. There's a really great secret seen this week of Kim and Sara Sara gets surprisingly emotional worship essentially like it just breaks down to Kim about how she didn't want to nearly come back for this season because she was afraid of things getting too personal because in game changes things got way too personal and they lamb Bassett her for it and she felt terrible because of it and Kim is such a perfect person and comforting force to her in this time. But you know when you when you win a million dollars. I think everyone thinks like. Oh Yeah you win survivor. And like all your sins are forgiven or like any sort of you know mental health issues. You have go out the window. But it only magnifies it sometimes especially I can imagine when you're being compared against other people game changers. Sorry go ahead. I was just saying stop lifts thing as a perfect person. No sorry go ahead Erin. Who was a rough season two as a fan to watch? It just seemed like they were there like on the clock like doing work. Yeah this season does seem more saen like they're having a good time. It seems like more than the fashion show. You know. We're seeing more of it but it seems a little less like game. Changers was depressing to me to watch the second depressing all around south. Maybe that's why Sir is really been swinging into like the. I'm going from COP. Criminal fashion designers like she purposely wants to make fun. She wants to be like the camp. Counselor Yeah Yeah. I love the fashion secrets and they. They spent money on those camera tracking shots and I was like damn we gotta Dahlie in here like it was really well do you. Do you think that the person like the music that they played do? We think that's yet another verse of the famed winners at worse. Or do you think they got like the same person to record like random. Fashion esque song to play. Is there rumors that SIA? It should be? That's her donation. This season she's got other players. You're not getting money instead. You got this lovely song that played during Sarah's fashion show. The fashion show was was was so wonderful. Just because you also had that balance or that Takata between Tony and Sarah as well.

"Figured it was. They really let you guess which one it is. I mean Gordon started started out his testimony. Basically saying I just WANNA be clear. There was definitely. I mean it was something like that. I'm paraphrasing but it was like I want to be clear ear there was definitely quid. Pro Quo and Y'all knew it and then the funny thing. So here's the interesting thing about the impeachment. Inquiry is that now the Republicans have have such a narrow band of arguments like. It's one of the arguments they made with Gordon. Sawn lend Sondheim time and Saddam was that They were like so he said something like okay. So I was talking to Donnie and Donny said Ed yeah just just talked to Giuliani. He'll tell you what to do and the the Republican lawyer said but he didn't say. Go Talk to Giuliani. And he was like what no I get I mean. He's talked to Giuliani any. You know so the word go will not. What was it in the Clinton impeachment where the definition of is impeach? He's got to get those to make sure what's the difference between Giuliani and go talk to Juliani. Get what the fuck out of here. Is that your legal arguments. And so it so I guess and they can't really they have no if nothing to say on the merits because everyone is corroborating the same republican witnesses to their like. oops Keith it was like an in vulgar was like amending testimony. They brought him in. They thought he was going to be the Guy Hi and he was not and I hate how the Republicans I just find it. These are people and I said this before. But especially with him who've served for so long and that Republicans would then come in question there like when that guy Got offered a job by the Ukraine and he was like basically basically insulting him for knowing multiple languages. It's like you're questioning his patriotism so it's so heinous spineless and it's asking for a couple of big nation listeners. Pointed out that like it's weird because a cup so there was that there was a few moments with Vin men and had so it's so frustrating that eight to the one person who was an immigrant a toddler immigrant. Yeah Who who they're really attacking for that but then they spend a lot of time name being like thank you for your service? We really respect your service almost to like you know kind of overcompensate for the attacks on vitamin they're like thank you for your you know you're wearing your military thing. But they were kind of an. I read this part. They kind of digging at him to other. It'd be like thank you for your service. Do you usually make civilians address you in this way like. Do you normally wear that that military outfit or whatever and attack. His father was like nervous because they'd left Russia. You know how he said. No Dad I can I can. We live in a country and I'm allowed to present the truth because we live here and it's like the whole reason that we're like proud of our people that emigrated here and it was so upsetting it was so upsetting. I know but the thing about the uniform like really upset me. I was just like this isn't a fucking episode of Queer Eye. Guys get out of here like talking about what he is trying to dig in ways professional ca fucking capacity. When you're talking about what like of course he would wear his uniform? What are you talking about? Yeah Oh multiple languages. That's suspicious. Oh they should be stupid so I haven't obviously been able to watch the hearings like as they're happening but in the instances that I've turned on the TV funny because there's two things. I noticed one I turn on the TV and they were like in. The first thing I heard was so did you have that conversation in Ukrainian training is. I'm sorry is that just criminal. You know the English was really good victim. And then the other thing I saw when I turn on the TV was Oh the Devon Nunez. What your joke there Leah? You know life is devin nunes said something like well guys. The ratings are really low because turns earns out. This is boring or something like that and I was like this encapsulates the entire. GOP defense why do you speak other languages and ratings are low. This impeachment should be what Telenovela want from an impeachment inquiry. Boxing ring girls girls also said that and then I completely blanked about to. They were just saying and now a Telenovela. No no previous to that. I love Telenovela. That the Republicans elegance as you were saying since they can't clearly dispute this story it seems pretty lined up. Everybody agrees on it. Now they have to argue like little things. Like why are you wearing that outfit Ed. And then changing the whole now we're like Ono. The Ukraine was where the people interfering and Donald Trump was. It was the first first person to give them anything any. It's like now. They're trying to spin the whole the framing of the story in the actual fact. It's weird to they still. You'll want the whistle blower. I think that's it. I mean the okay. Here's the crazy thing that on top of that. The White White House. Keep saying. Read the transcripts. Right the transcript. Which is the common memo not a full transcript? Clearly says is there's a it's funny because it's literally early fucking Valenki being like we want Javelin missiles and then donald trump being like you have to do us a favor so the like lay Out The withholding of the military and then a favor right. It's like the transcripts. Do the same job at Vin mended. That sunland did that right like everyone. Why it's such crazy? Gas Lighting that read the transcript is their number one. It's so everybody point. I don't understand because read. The transcript is the most damning thing anyone who due in transfer. It's really unbelievable. I it continues. I thought for a second it was just like maybe gonNA happen like a couple of weeks ago testimony but now we have the public testimony. Everyone's corroborating Dick Transcript is also corroborating. What is the? What's the fuck in plan there? I feel like it's literally the emperor's new clothes. It's really to that look at him. He's naked. He's like look at me. I'm fully Clinton. He's like okay. I guess I guess you are. Maybe it's it's just like trying to discredit the witnesses. Some just like by by putting something in the yeah. The doesn't seem other. Witnesses have been so fantastic. They just like everybody off so clear clearly really nobody wants any. You know what I mean. I also yesterday the saw online. I felt like didn't he say yeah. I wrote it down somewhere but my notes like the jokers everybody was in. I was like Oh yeah everybody knew what was the line line where it was like includes pens and pay Bolton because the because I think one of the things that they were sort of doing was like there was the formal State Department team and then there was the shadow State Department team or whatever and I think he was just sort of like no literally. Everybody knew there. There's no like Tulsi knows right that he was just sort of like this notion Russian that like some people didn't know what was going on and I think that's what's also really interesting as pence has now been fully thrown under the bus with in his been unsullied in a way by this presidency. I don't understand Superman. Who is so so silly? I know but he's still there really selling that like Middle America like he's he's got mother yacht. You know that whole I I somehow be able to keep that image with this punt him out before an unbelievable I in so I mean he's not gonNA testify obviously because we'll have he'll claim immunity but it is interesting now Bolton I mean Sorry Pompeo these are all people all who they're the ones that are going to have the most the highest level information. They're not being allowed to testify or they're like following the White House's community argument but I do you think that without those people. It's like enough to to a customer I'm like can. Can we just vote for impeachment today as we got the story. We don't story. We all know the story. Everybody knows so what. What do you think is Hap- like does any of this going to matter to sway? A Republican person voting in Congress. I wish I could be like hells. Yeah no disregard this but I mean it seems they could yeah. I don't know it's going to be who's throwing who under the bus Understand his wife. GOP Why don't they come out and do a like guys we can see now from instead of like we have low ratings that line the argument come out and be like guys. It's clear from the testimony that there was a quid pro quo that he was trying to investigate an American with the help of another country super wrong. He was trying to do it for his own. Electoral purposes super wrong. It's like us and we as Republicans believed that he should be censured or like something thing like a punishment like they can still walk that line. Why go all in when the evidence is so? I just don't understand because because you can be like look we're not gonNA impeach because it's not we don't believe it rises to that level. I could understand someone saying that but we do believe that he should have some sort of yes. I'm slap on like you're not allowed to do that. We've specifically become a nation. That says that we don't do that and we recognize just specialists in there like that atlas at least show the Party of moral superiority how they sell themselves and like Oh like foreign it. Domestic issues are so intense to them. And it's like so we're just like it's wild Sabih that they're throwing our ourselves in with dictators. Now Yeah because that's what this behavior is bullying and your and he was investigating un-american Lake fully so so it's just like what that seems to be. You're right you're ultimate fear. But what you go to bed at night terrified nudie pictures of Lindsey Graham. I sure as it was like microchip implanted in David which McConnell. What's his name? David News can't Devin Nunes against very. Sometimes I thought I saw ten of the same guy. Same Guy I just saw. Yeah Yeah Yeah all right have all been just the picture of calmness and really easily on the GOP side congresswoman out of of her district somewhere in upstate new. She's upstate New York she has. She's actually at least saying something. That's they're not talking about the ratings voter out in New York by the way fun. Let's get real about that district. Everybody I why is being primary challenge. She's being challenged by Democrats. I'm pretty sure so. Yeah we'll highlight that that district soon enough you guys we are going to move on and We're just going to let me know what you think it would be. What's happening to America? What's happening to America? Okay thanks no. Let's move onto topic number three. Oh my God you guys. We read an article called Very Long. And I'm sorry about that I also did you know that every time limb here we do a segment I would say this is the lightest of by three topics. Whenever I've been here which has been nice? I mean it's unbelievable it's crazy that's just how I trump MAR president impeachment party this morning right before I left on the way here homes was those who clearly. I just WanNa go that I didn't want to be a part of this. I am invested in being us. I've been civil service civil servant. I've been doing my whole life Like I really trying to be like this is not and he was the one that was at the restaurant and was sitting next to Sodom and He said son is actually holding on lands on. Glenn I keep saying sounded like Sodom and Gomorrah and Sondheim ever so hard time a he was pulling the phone away he adds pulled his the phone away from his ear because he said Donald Trump and he didn't say it like he was he didn't say it with the way where he was relishing. Putting down trump it it was just describing the situation that of course he could hear trump. He's so loud and that s man had to hold the phone away from his ear. He's at a lunch restaurant on his cell phone with the president. And then that's when he said the loves your ASS and like yeah. "You know. Maybe she's like in her closing statements that you didn't get to see were also just she was just basically basically like I believe in being nice to people and it was like what's your every all of them are bringing up something like bringing up some sort of policy or here's sort of put a stamp in what I and hers was just. We should be nice to be able to talk to. Yes sure totally it's interest. I think if you can't name a policy position from a person on that stage then that person shouldn't make it into the next browned that idea right and she's won that I'm like what are you. What is your what you WanNa do like? Well what do you want to do like I awed you want. Oh we also do you do what what do you. It was Biden's birthday. So we were saying maybe this time he was stumbling blend because maybe he was drunk from like a fun champagne brunch. I just two out for that in the forty five minutes that I missed he was he he actually did. Well is what I heard. He wasn't I've also come so Tulsi is breaking my my personal role which I've tried very the hard for me to not say anything about any of the candidates because I will vote for any single person on therapy and I think it's important to discuss ideas and So obviously I broke that with Tulsi because I just can't honestly the ways you insult. Hillary Clinton is so ridiculous and Democratic Party so they don't run as a Democrat. Great tweet were somebody said everybody's insulting Tulsi Gabbard but it really. She's the only Republican look-in who had the balls to show up democratic. But I thought that I like you. Were saying Corey Booker really came to play. Yeah Yeah you really did. Did he know what he's got. He's funny yeah he's got timing he's he's like a natural speaker. You know what I mean like for example like I would I would leave leave. Vote for emit club Ajar. But she's not the natural speaker eventual speeders Biden. She's a funny like in real life and everyone's like oh great if she brought some of that humor to her ex's joke sort of bringing some sites right so like to putting a copy tape so that I could send me the great job right and I would I would I would. I would trust that she would do a good job as president right like I I have. I have a lot of faith in her as someone who could be a leader I I'm a little just like underwhelmed by her. You know middle of the road. I'm just laughing. She actually feels that way though. I feel she's very direct about what her policies are and how they they work entity amount of work that she's done right said she went off on a whole like I'm not she didn't say I but she's you don't have to be the loudest the most exciting person. Listen to be the most effective politician but that is an unfortunate. LS loudest person. Thought that she also didn't skirt the issue the moderators eaters. were fantastic. When he's actually well? Moderate yeah all and all the time thanks question and answer. The question rocked it When they brought up? You said this about Pete Buddha Jag and she was like about him that no woman could have as little experience that he had and beyond the panel and she did not answer the question I thought she she complimented him and his record and the things that he's done and said that she thinks he's deserves to be there but what she was saying. Is that a woman would have women always have to do more and we can see that because otherwise we'd be able to say which was our favorite female president and I thought that was a wonderful. She didn't hide from what she was saying. Right right no I liked that and I also think I went on my apology tour about Bernie and Buddha judge last week you guys missed it. Because I haven't been as you know like yeah and I can go worldwide for everybody minus Halsey and she's not forgetting it's such a waste of time anyway but but I think she you know she kind of really brought out this point and it looked it on stage. You just like strangely looked younger than he's ever looks for some reason to me. I was like he looks like he was on my debate team in high school. A Uh yes he just looked. JV In everyone else's Varsity you know what I mean and that's just kind of feel like an and that's okay like you'll be varsity one day I mean in the he might be varsity varies. But it's interesting so do you think that I think part of the problem is that now competing with impeachment for people's attention when it comes hamster this the primary. Do you think anything changed to me. It felt like I don't know either. Have you thought but to me. It felt like the popular kids are still the popular like the popular. Kids did a good job. The people on the outskirts are still on the outskirts. I to me it felt like okay. We could have almost skipped that one. I didn't learn anything anything to me. At least right like nothing really. I thought some people did a better job than they thought. Cory Booker did a good job better than he's done but I don't know that enough to To shake it up I don't I don't know but apparently he's doing very well in Iowa again the garbage garbage system that we're in where Iowa madder in any way why should matter along with forty nine other states all at the same time. It's what should matter anyway. Anyway but he is. I think it's fairly competitive there so strangely not he does not have the black vote. Did Neither Karla Harris that is all Biden. So like It's very interesting to me. I mean That that that he hasn't even even been able to make a debt in getting the backbone in South Carolina which is the next state that matters more than forty six other states so a basically I just want some of the ones who I I knew the whole time and just like there needs to be like six. Who Do you? Who are? You're saying I mean they're not even my six but it's like let's just say it should be Warren Biden Bernie Bayer P.. I would like Avian Comal amy but if an cory cory cory slipped in there. Okay I don't want I don't want Biden. He's going to be. I would be like. Can we have seven booker. Yeah Yeah Yeah. I actually felt like last night's debate debate felt the most hopeful for me dizzy. I wasn't depressed. I left the other. One's depressed killing each other. We're in the and I think it was also the moderators and because I don't mind like if you have got comfortable where they were like please answer the question. She said it's Elizabeth Warren. But I was like I want people to have have ideas and be able to debate. But they didn't. I felt like when they came at each other it was. I don't know I felt better about it. It wasn't even win. Cory Booker said to bite and like you were talking about not legalizing marijuana honestly. I thought you were high with you. He did it was such a smile. Such a Joe immediately started playing. It was still you know fun. Yeah those jokes you know. It's funny because I am. I always forget to talk about Jiang. But guys he's like consistently in the game and he's not I want to say he has more policies you know he's in great ideas he's talking about actual ideas. I mean it's more than Pete. Buddha judge to be honest I feel view like I could list things that Yang as like wants to bring to the table specifically said Last night I I like it when people specifically say this is the thing that needs to happen happen. Hugh specifically said that white supremacy needs to go on the list of domestic terrorism so it can be specifically secured as that. Yeah so I feel like. He has very clear ideas of what the actuality of the thing has to be and I really enjoy that about him. Yeah no I mean. He's you know I don't think he's GonNa in a win the nomination but like I appreciate what he's doing in the thought that he's putting into it and I am not I'm not. I'm torn on on universal basic income. And his idea ideas around it but like at least he's got ideas you know all right you guys But Still Elizabeth Warren Anyway right like Elizabeth. I do think it is a debate on universal healthcare because I feel like a lot of America specifically weighed in saying they want to keep their private insurance. So I think that's an important discussion regardless of and she's talked about having a two step plan right. We're like I you have a public option. And then when you know when you know and years a there she would have she would go into Medicare for all because and I and I think the interesting thing is everyone wants universal healthcare. Everyone wants everyone to be covered. Everyone's a public off right. Everyone wants a public option. And then and and then it's sort of like let's see if we can even fuck and get that and then if we can like we can talk about a medicare for all situation. I don't think any what Bernie and warn are trying to do. And what Bernie did from two thousand sixteen end it worked is open the overton window move the overton window to the left so that we can begin to believe that we deserve healthcare. And that's what they're doing on the debate stage. Do they think that on January January twenty first twenty twenty one fucking insurance companies are going to be obliterated. No that's where all reasonable here we know. That's not how it works But they are moving the discussion in that direction that matters because we do deserve healthcare. We deserve deserve to be healthier country. We don't deserve this anxiety this needs to be dealt with and NFL like they're the you know they're saying it they're the most passionate about it. I do but I do agree that everybody on stage wants everybody to have healthcare. Yeah Yeah uh-huh okay you guys will continue to watch these elections as they just wanted. Maybe actually we could go the opposite way and Ad Inslee back in because I miss him. Yeah I mean I do. I hated home every minute. Leave really think so I would love any of these guys. Just be more or harder hitting on climate guy. Last night was very hard hitting and I just blanked on his name. He's on the far end. The Guy who I was like I didn't know I don't even know why he was. Shot Shot Twenty emergency. It should be situation total. Like he's not a piece of shit or anything his money away a good guy. He's he's a good guy. I just WANNA say stiers a good guy I ooh I mean like do I want him to like Bill Gates us into a climate change thing like the way gates is doing with malaria. Whatever sure although we could talk about whether or not billionaires should be solving our problems it should be the government all right? We'll take money though if you want to solve my problem. "It's been a real pleasure to be here with all of you. People especially a union mostly Leeann Erin's own to have had our own kind of thing. It's it's just been it's been such a joy to work with you Harry. I'm really sad to see you. Go and man. You're here wolf really knows how to pick them and then rip them away through so thank you so much for your services show you shall continue to serve the show over the next forty five minutes. Yes let's move on and today I I am joined by now. You already heard their voices. Because they were weighing in on Harry's life we have on the show returning both of them returning. She's been on the late show with Stephen Colbert. She's the Co host of the PODCAST. Were you raised by wolves you guys you know are you love are you have heard her. It's Leah bottom. Ah My goodness thank you for having me hello. We also have a returning to the show fabulous comedian and he's a performer. For the National Lampoon Radio Hour which will be relaunching toot sweets. It's all very exciting and we're so glad to have you guys. It's Aaron Jackson. Hello thanks for having So let's just fucking get into it. You guys topic number one. Last night we watch the Democratic primary debates and. That's all I wrote down. I literally just rust last. Yeah I actually miss the first forty five minutes because I was doing a Gig. A comedian as you both know listeners did you hear and I it so when I came back the very first. It's it's funny because the first five minutes of what I saw encapsulated everything that I feel was true about the debates which was the first thing I saw absolute first thing I saw was Joe Biden and tripping over his word answering something that I couldn't even tell what it was because it it was an awkward answer then I saw Pete Buddha Jed say something sort of Nice but like without very much to say but he was sounded Nice like a nice guy and then I heard Elizabeth Warren say something super specific and totally and utterly brilliant about housing and she Guess what had a plan for that and I was like. I don't even know what everyone else is talking about. This woman has actual. We all know where I stand in high become so aggressive Biden and then I heard comma a Harris fucking do some prosecutorial like fucking. Let's get this shit together Octa last night and then you know who else. I walked away being like I. I I have googly eyes for closure get OUTTA here cory booker. Great as I donated. I don't because he said go to cory. Booker Dot Com. How many into the next stage and I fucking did because I was like there are a lot of people who should not be on this stage user should be on doing cancer? Hazar wasn't on this stage. Halsey Gabbard was Tom. Dyer what I missed. DVR are the show. Because I was also in show Also coming okay I mean I should have just like football. DVR The thirty minutes afterwards because they ran over so I caught the beginning and then I missed closing statements because they ran over two hours and then in the beginning was SORTA softballs. They're like is trump bad to see Tomlin came out swinging right. She she say again. Can you guys talk talk about what happened. When they were asked about impeaching? She came out hard on the impeachment. being you know against the American people like that. This is a not us that we do not not interfere with elections. And I don't know if you missed the part where sorry that the impeachment shouldn't be the inquiry. It shouldn't be happening. No no no no no sorry views being a prosecutor's criminal in the White House and she was doing what she does bad and then I don't know if this was at the beginning if you missed it but she's the first person who took shots at Tulsi Gabbard yet they had the the the taking. Why would take a shot at Kamla? I just shudder down. Maybe I don't remember. It was fun really really out of her league instagram. And why can't I'm totally blanking on it because now the but it was just like what are you talking about but Tolsey Chelsea it really upsets me. She also said something weird like Pete. Buddha Jaji want us to go into Mexico with troops or something like that like what are you talking about you try to go. I don't want us to invade Mexico. If that was the ridiculous thing you're implying and I just was like every any any amount of time that she was talking fell ended. Anyone was even responding to her. Felt like waste waste. I remember what it was because I wrote here Migrate Notes Tulsi GABBARD or tolsey garbage. Wow Good Harris said basically like Essentially delayed there is a person on this cano who is not a Democrat has shit on the Democrats know because of all Tolsey statements against Hillary Clinton and and you know is a came out or rightfully so yeah and so put the split screen and it was like and you're like I'm sweating I'm Dr but like interesting because how do they even make it onto the debate too. I just I'm so I don't know a single person who is a Tulsi Fan. Why do we talked about how do you? They are very specific. Demographic you without ruining your friendship. What can you tell US Navy profile grinding a few friends? But it's a men and they are white and they are heterosexuals. And a bio hacker day are. They're always like she's served in the military and I'm like there's other people that served in the military sorry and I'm not disrespecting her military record I yeah this does her lawyer issues yeah you can't. There's no blanket thing where you served in the military therefore you get away with absolutely everything that's not us to stand up for yourself as a human being there also people who voted independent or or weren't totally anti trump because they think that she's against the corruption of the Democrats structure of the system and the Democrats are making her look bad on purpose because they don't want to come in and I was like I don't know you're also making yourself moon. Landing was fake right right flatter flatter. Thor's it's interesting because the whole idea of like the one of the things that Kinda came from yesterday was we need to have love a healthy discourse around what it means to serve the country and we kind of don't like we kind of view serving the country very he narrowly as a military function going. Oh Elizabeth Warren. You've never been in the military survey. Take it to me to an I. I is this controversial position. I really don't think to me. A public schoolteacher and someone in the military are both serving the country rates in different ways and just in different ways. I understand that there's a there's you know with with with military service there's a life or death component and so I really truly and deeply appreciate and value that But I also also don't feel the need to devalue other forms of service in order to value that you know what I mean and they feel like that's something that we sort of do and we don't. We don't prize teachers as much. We Dope Prize first responders as much although a little bit more Yeah and there's just it's got to be other ways that you can serve the country and be lauded for it you know. I think that we should not all of them. That should be like when you watch the impeachment hearings in these people who've been serving their country and are being treated like trash. I do think with the military. It is specifically different because they have left their families. They've left their homes. They're putting their life on. I I come. They come home. They're not taking care of So I do think but I also agree that at the same time. All of these people are serving our country in one way or another right right and I think. Also it's to me when you're a politician that says I support the troops or whatever if you don't have a policy position that says when the troops troops come home this is their workforce development program and they don't WanNa talk to you absolutely you know what I mean. You're fucking empty. You can say you support the troops but do you really not not how. How the fuck are you supporting the troops? I think we can all agree that Donald trump is not served his country Spurs. Show some empathy okay. It was bone Spurs. Who who who wasn't the debate for you L.? I unfortunately am like not unfortunately it just for variety I am. I'm very into warrant. Unfortunately unfortunately compiling very excited about Elizabeth Warren for the sake of variety on the PODCAST. UH-HUH I have our time. Finding Non Warns Anti Greg. Tulsi back but I did. I would say I had the most fun watching in her. Like oh even though it was She's like a Disney villain. Almost low voice.

I would have privilege to have with us a former Houston rocket Aaron Jackson to talk a little bit about this rockets warriors series that we had to postpone. So Aaron can get a haircut you realize as an audio podcast though. Right. It's not it's not video. I appreciate your trying to look good for the show though. Oh, man. I thought I was going to get the whole shebang and get on the podcast the video show thousands. Sees people seem my face for the first time. Hey, you're welcome to come on the live show anytime. I if you're in San Francisco, sadly, we are not quite at the point yet where we can actually like pay you to come out. So we'll have to rely on the lock that that you happen to be out there. But I wanna start talking about this rockets word series because you're intimately familiar with this team that you play with them in last year's playoffs at signed like second last day of the regular season was last year. Got second last game. And then I got a second Minoan played play that game and then with the whole playoff series last year. So just what stuck out to you watching this rockets team it in this series it against the warriors compared to what y'all were going up against last year this series. I think they they got caught off guard the first two games, especially on the on the road, and you know, last season lasting. They had the first two home games. We had the first two home games. And it was more of a there in the way type of phone like we wanna get a championship. Isn't that such this was more? Like, it seems like it was more. Like, we want revenge back. You know that has to do with a lot of emotions those emotions are different, especially when it comes to being on the road or nothing. They got shot the first two games, even though the scores close. I don't think that a they played as well as they wanted to. And from what I've seen for the coaches games in what we did lash play applause. We switched to lower earlier, and we. More aggressive in PJ was more aggressive which you starting to see right now. Yeah. You mentioned that. So you think at the beginning of the series the defensive wasn't as aggressive as it was at its peak it last year. Yeah. They weren't. They weren't aggressive at all last year. You know, especially going to road, you you kinda and you see like the home team there. They used to the hot they're going. And I think last year we came from what Utah, and they came to our home, and you know, and we were aggressive right from jump and this year. It's like what.

How Airlines Are Cracking Down On Emotional Support Animals

"This guys aren't always so friendly. A couple incidents have been reported of large dogs biting airline passengers as the number of pets flying as service and emotional support animals has skyrocketed according to delta alone. It was up one hundred and fifty percent between twenty fifteen and twenty seventeen this prompted the airline and others to enact more stringent requirements for onboard animals Delta's rules now say that owners of emotional support animals will be required to show proof of their pets health or vaccinations at least forty eight hours before flight. They also need to present a statement from their doctored clearing a mental health disability. Finally owners must also sign a statement saying they're animal can behave emotional support animals, occupy a different category from service animals, which are highly trained to perform specific potentially lifesaving tasks for people living with a disability. A we spoke by Email with Beth Zimmerman founder of pets for patriots an organization that matches shelter dogs and cats with veterans. She said emotional support animals are companion pets, ordinary house pets that are recommended by an individual's mental health professional for the alleviation of symptoms of an emotional disability emotional support animals do not have to be tasked trained or have any unique training at all. Their mere presence is assistive. Yes. As don't even have to be dogs stakes rats and pigs can be used as ES as a one photo that circulated the internet recently claimed to picture and emotional support. Peacock airlines don't have to accommodate unusual service animals, though. But they do have to provide the passenger with a written explanation of their reasoning. We also spoke by Email with psychologist to Nisha ranger who works mainly with veterans. She said the research on the positive impact that emotional support animals have on people who are struggling with mental. Illness is pretty plentiful. They have a calming effect lowering stress levels in the owner, they offer companionship and help to lessen isolation. They offer a sense of security and protection for those who struggle with PTSD to get a feel for how this works. We spoke by Email with Ashley Jacobs CEO of sitting for 'cause Jacobs has hereditary Huma Chroma toasts which requires her to have regular full Bottomley's to which she always brings her nine year old. Golden retriever diamond Jacobs said needles are my biggest fear in the world. So my ESA comes with me to all my flip Bottomley's having her with me keeps me from panicking. During the procedure yet Jacobs also said she wouldn't take diamond with her on a plane for one. She doesn't need her dog for travelling also quote while she is a very well behaved dog. It's hard to guarantee she wouldn't get a little answer anxious about the new sound smells at environment on a plane. She's also about seventy pounds and takes up a bit of space. So for the comfort of other passengers to avoid giving ES as potentially bad rep. I figured it's best to leave her at home. Unlike service dogs who are allowed access pretty much everywhere by federal law, the only legal rights essays have are reasonable accommodation in no pet housing and the right to accompany their owners in the cabin of commercial aircraft without having to be kept in the container or to pay pet transportation fee, which is typically at least one hundred dollars each way. Many passengers looking to avoid this fee. Have started to classify their pets as emotional support animals. Psychologists ranger said there's a lot of fraud out there, a cursory Google search will find you any number of websites where you can buy letters from clinicians tags invests which may not be legitimate. And when trained animals tech innocent bystanders, it further create stigma for those who actually need service animals, Christopher father operations administrator for assistance, dogs international said individuals with disabilities often have additional stress as they do not know when they may encounter a nontrained ESA dog that may inflict harm on them. And they're trained assistance dog the general public is also. Acted as they cannot determine which assistance dog team is trained or which ones are nontrained ESA dogs. The jury's still out on exactly what needs to happen to rectify the issue, but most industry experts agree that something needs to be done, the air carrier access act lists these specific rules regarding service animals and ESA's aboard aircraft and states that airlines may request documentation for ES as such as the type of delta requires the rules say airlines can determine whether the animal is truly a service of support animal by quote, observing the behavior of the animal looking for physical indicators such as harness and accepting the credible. Verbal assurances of an individual with disability using the animal some nineteen states have laws prohibiting people from passing off their pets as service animals, but they're hard to enforce due to rules from the Americans with disabilities. Act concerning what questions a business owner may ask about a service animal, for instance, a business owner cannot ask for documentation or demonstration of a service dog training. There's also. So no registry of service trained animals. Attorney Aaron Jackson has written about the hostility. She encountered from airline employees and passengers when she traveled with her. Yes. A she said, unfortunately, the prevalence of ESA vest and registry scams. Desensitizes the public from understanding the impact and importance of ES as to individuals who truly need them for therapeutic purposes. Instead of using the animal is therapy tool. Fellow travelers may resent other passengers who are allowed to bring their pets on the plane, however note that because yes as don't wear identification other travelers may not be able to distinguish between a pet and an

Sperm bank punishes mother for accidentally finding her donor

"Feldman, a mother in Washington state had questions about the ancestry of her five-year-old daughter. But these questions were especially complicated. Just because the father was an anonymous sperm donor. So the mom submitted DNA samples for herself and her daughter and much turned up surprise. Yeah. Using the popular genetics testing kits from twenty three and me. She founded direct relative of the sperm donor soon after she contacts relatives, she got a very firm letter from the sperm Bank. She had used do not try to find the donor father. But with these DNA testing kits being animus donor is harder to do Aaron Jackson, founder of the advocacy group. We are donor conceived is herself a child of a sperm donor father. So Aaron lot people are reading this letter. It's going around online. It's talking about damages. It is a stern warning. They're surprised at how harsh it is. I'm wondering are you? I'm I am sorta surprised to hear this someone of the sperm bakes because in my mind, the logical lawsuits would come from people like me who are conceived by anonymous sperm donors who want to know, the identity of their biological fathers. But at the same time, it makes sense, you know, these people want to protect their business and their business model relies on anonymous donors getting paid to sell firm to them that they then sell to other people so with an anonymity removed. They would have to rechange their whole way of doing business. Why did you want to find out? Who my biological father was on undying here Yossi, really I thought I knew who my father was until I was thirty five, and I was informed of the whole story of my conception. So for me, it was it. You know? You know, having you know, this new information brought to light just. Totally shut out my sense of identity, and you know, left with a with a giant question Mark like who is this person that I'm now seeing in the mirror every time. I look at my face, and what's his story. I wanted to know where I came from so. Yeah, really that was it just a basic human drive. At the center of this story is similar thing. Did you find out? I did. Yeah. I took a I took a DNA test immediately upon finding out I'm donor conceived because I realized I didn't know my ancestry, and I didn't have any health information either. And within a couple of months. My husband was able to piece together the puzzle using like a second cousin once removed to backtrack and find out who the guy was. And you know, it was totally surreal to finally see it safe. But I feel like a great sense of Keith knowing that information, and how did how did he react to you showing up or alerting him that you knew who he was. Okay. So I sent a letter that was about to knock on a door, and they'll give it too much. He was he was taken aback by it. And unfortunately in my case not open to contact for me. He he clung to the promise of anonymity that he was given, you know, thirty five years ago. Before DNA tests. And before anyone could even imagine not any of this was possible. So my my perspective is that like my appearance on the scene, which shake up his family to a degree that he wasn't capable of responding to so, yeah, it's unfortunate. But I didn't get the storybook ending. But knowing who he is is means a lot to me. And I asked that partly because I'm wondering based on your own personal experience. Can you understand why a sperm Bank might not want? This information to be made public because they don't want a bunch of people surprising people in your case, your your biological father. It was what you were thirty five years old when you found out. Can you understand what their point of view might be? Oh, totally. I mean, they they want to continue doing business as usual and the the possibility of someone taking a DNA test and finding out the answer. This question was nothing more than their own saliva really represents a challenge to everything that they've been doing for several decades. So yeah, I can I can totally see that. They don't want this to happen. But I also think that's not my concern. I my sympathies are with the people who do not know where they come from. And are looking for any way to find that out because the sperm banks are not facilitating that on their own initiative. It is one of these stories that we see sometimes we're we're at this place now with technology and science, and I'm thinking about you know, your second cousin twice removed. And then you connect all the dots. That's so far ahead of where the rest of us are. And then we catch up or learn how to deal with it as it goes along in real time. Yeah, it really is like science fiction
