"We're asking today. With the biggest playoff poser is and we were thrown around the Browns. Yes, there 73, but they can't really depend on their quarterback the way they depend on their running game. Maybe that's good. Maybe that's bad, Depending on what the weather is Key said, Depending on what the matchup is, how does everybody in town? I assume they're getting about being seven and three, but because this is the Browns Is there any level of apprehension? I'm sure there's some for some people, but right now, guys, we're just enjoying it. It's been football hell here for the last 20 years. We have been the playoffs since Oh to the Browns are aligned for the first time in a long time owners yet Chief strategy Officer DePodesta AD You burying his crew in the front office and Kevin's defense key, the coach, the players of buying in to what they're doing, and I heard you guys talking about trust and Baker Mayfield bigger. Mayfield's made the place he had to to get to be seven and three. I know he's not Pat Mahomes. And I know there is a style point of the kind of thing to this that you know the Browns don't win, like a lot of the other NFL teams do. Have you seen the weather here the last three weeks. They did what they had to do to win. So Cleveland happy when the Browns of seven and three Well, that's not continue to keep telling the guys. Tony is you win, however you win, no matter what the case is, I think a lot of our concern know is when you become one dimensional, and there is no chuck, but there is no hunt. To rely on and now you got to rely on Baker Mayfield getting the ball to guys like Landry. What happens at that point? How did the Browns feel confident level about making a strong playoff run out there? Their company team and I'll tell you stuff. Stansky's just been a godsend here. He's got this team believing in themselves guys to the point about Baker. You know, he had to be here to play Big and Cincinnati neck in about a month ago, and he led a drive at the end of the game with 40 seconds left to win that thing against Joe Burrow. So we've seen him do it in the past. He just had him and asked to do it. In the last three weeks. He's also learning third year in a new offense for him. He'd been a league three years He's had three different offenses and it was during the 2020, You know, global pandemic. Without pre season and everything else. So I think the jury's still out as far as Baker goes, but the browser confident they could run it on anybody. All right, so, Tony Talk to me. Here is Baker Mayfield. The long term answer. We don't know yet, And I know that the Browns they're gonna take the rest of this year to figure that out. We do expect them to pick up his fifth year option next year. As far as getting a big old contract like Patrick Holmes, your dish on We're gonna have to wait and see on that They want to give him this entire season. I know. At times he has made mistakes, but the last thing the Browns want to do is go back to the well looking for efficient for us. A franchise quarterback. Well, you know, it's interesting about that Tony because they didn't have that reservation, obviously about Myles Garrett, where they at with Denzel Ward in a long term situation. Well, they like them a lot, but unfortunately he's had problems Stand on the field and again. He is injured. He gonna be out. It's a calf strain. We don't know how long White teller missed four games. With a similar injury. Denzel Ward was playing in a pro bowl level shut down lockdown corner. He had guys on an island for most of the game last week, and I think he gave up three passes, one for a first down. So they love him. I think Nick Chubb is going to be in line, maybe for a long term deal. I know people are like, Whoa, He's running back, but it's a different player. He's he represents everything the Browns they're looking for in tough, smart football player, So I think I think job is online for that. Tony Rizzo is joining us on the shell. Pennzoil Performance line. Pennzoil Synthetic Motor Oils are made from natural gas gives young beautiful engine protection. The proofs in the Pennzoil based on sequence for a where test using as a five W 30, If you're just tuning in, Tony is a Host on our affiliate in Cleveland. The really big show alongside Aaron Goldhammer weekdays from 9 to 1. I want to switch gears. You mentioned Paul DePodesta aligned at the top in the front office. Paul DePodesta for those that don't know. Not only has he done a good job with the Cleveland Browns, he was also fellas. Paul DePodesta baseball front office guy with Cleveland, The New York Mets. He's been around baseball and football. He's got that money ball. He's bringing that aspect to the Browns. The reason I ask you that Paul is because I want to ask you an Indian's question. And that is what is the chatter around Francisco Lynn Door? I think this is one of the biggest stories of the baseball hot stove. Can they keep him? Will they keep him? What's the pulse of Cleveland? They're one of the biggest stars in baseball. Well way are resigned to the fact that the Indians are going to trade Frankie Thean. Ian's lost the $100 million last year as been a lot of teams in baseball. The Dolan family, great people. They put a great product on the field, but financially they don't have the same resource is is the Dodgers and the Mets in the Yankees. So they're looking for a partner. Right now. There may be a scenario where they don't get what they like. And he plays here and then walks. We've got one year left on a deal in the Indians right now are burning up the phones trying to find a deal for him. You know, the big name players in baseball haven't really produced. Those big contracts haven't produced a lot of championships. We love Frankie and Cleveland's gonna hate to see him go, but we feel like it's inevitable. Tony, I gotta ask the question the other day, And I think it's important that our viewers get a chance to hear what your taste is. And maybe a cultural thing. I'm gonna throw it out there. Are you a sweet potato guy? Are you pumpkin pie? Kind of guy. Super theta pi or pumpkin pie? Serious question? Yes. Which one? Yes, you had to choose one which one? Go sweet potato pie. Okay of the holiday, but pumpkins good. I think I'm burned out on pumpkin man. I gotta put whipped cream on it and ice cream and everything else. I'm eating so much pumpkin. I like sweet potato. What kind of spices they're using is a sweet, sweet potato. Keys. Yes, kind of stepped in between. Okay? Yeah, yeah, I like Sweet. I like sweet, sweet potato pie. Don't bring a pumpkin part of my crib, though. Yeah, I'm not. We're not worry cream disrespectful. No, I don't. I don't like your cooking. You cooking the locket. I'm starting. I was telling j. I'm gonna start about 3 A.m. four A. M in the morning. Uh, Yeah, I'm getting down. I'll be in there, you know. Hopefully, I don't fall asleep. Er Yeah, because no, Because at that time you know you, you turn on the heater. You kind of get it warm going and you cooking at the same time, and you At that time in the morning, you up by yourself? You kind of bored. You might decide to go to a little bit of the brown liquor and everything You know, Thanksgiving Morning. You're alive, man. You're alive. Jay. I told Keyshawn yesterday on our show program, a new show called Cooking with Key. I'm telling me an 86 man. We get all these videos every single day, Tony. It's incredible. It's really incredible. He is talent, man. No question. Hey, Tony, have a great show today. Enjoy the.

"Rams, the Packers, the Eagles, the Seahawks Tom Brady in the Bucks at six and cute Kyler. At seven, and by the way, I know that's a lot. What I just reeled off. Everything I reeled off is in order from one through seven. So those of the 14 if it started today, want to hear who the biggest poser is in your mind if you're listening to us, wherever you are, thanks for tuning in happy early Thanksgiving, hit us up on the phone or hit us up on Twitter so we can't name NFC East team. No, it's in the plane in the plane because that's easy. That's a given. But that's a given. Come on. But come on, get in. Remember, they obviously be the answer. When we had to exclude the NFC East. Get a home game. You never quite know what they almost beat. Russell account almost beat Russell Wilson in the playoffs. Last year. That game was in Philly. It was cold. It was you never know, right? You hosted playoff games. Things can help. That's what I'll say to DOJ. It's like Basketball in college basketball, and I hate to refer to the sweet 16 or whatever, but looking every year. There's what you call it. Bracket busters Come around them, one of them teams that come out of nowhere. You like. They got like 5000 people enrolled in the whole school. How did that happen? Be about poser means like You had higher expectations for them, and they're not that right? Had high expectations for Dallas as well, as you know. Yeah, you did. Okay. And if you ask if you asked how this way more than Philadelphia? No, If you ask, come on, That was key with all those toys. No. But think about it, though, Jay the beginning of the year, If you ask some of these Philadelphia Eagle fans like a pat In in in Alan, they would tell you based on the way Carson Wentz finished last year draft in jail in rigor and all that you shot Jackson coming back and all of those sort of things that the Eagles Look like with the Cowboys, the team to beat in the NFC East. Okay now it also depends on what your definition of poser is heading. Our great producer raised the point, essentially a great producer. I'll say I'll say, but sometimes a poser is you're not as great as your record indicates you are right. That's like somebody pretending that they're tough. But they're not really tough, right? Yeah, So it's just sort of the exterior interior version of the best looking most like, Wow, just a shot. Come on, Terry Rhodes, Come on, Jalen Johnson. Let's go this year, By the way, we can't even throw it out. If the Cowboys win tomorrow, they're gonna launch themselves, at least for the moment in the first place in the division, and there's undeniable talent. You could say whatever you want about how healthy the talent is, They have what we have a lot of tens what I'm saying Washington at home. There will be minimum fans in attendance, which is a plus for The Cowboys because you know, if you got some fans, you got some noise. You get a little bit of home field advantage to Andy Dalton's credit. He came in and played well last week against the Vikings, and they won that football game. So You know they smell it. Regardless of what we might think about them. They smell it. They smell the opportunity to still win the NFC East to steal say we won the NFC East in 2020. Let's talk about the Browns in terms of are they? As good as their record indicates we're going to go to Cleveland here in three minutes, get the pulse off the Browns nation that has been waiting for this moment of the NFL's longest playoff drought. They haven't been there since. 2002 the Browns or seven and three. That's a gaudy record for them. That's his good as they've been through 10 games in about 13 years at seven and three. You could identify them as a poser because there are some people out there that will say Not really sure. The Browns are a seven and three team. I'm not sure they're that explosive. They're that good. Here's what I would say about that much like we just said about three minutes ago. Once you get in Things change. What do they have? That a lot of teams in the National Football League does not have a ground game? They have a ground game. This portable And what do I say? Play defense wins. The award is out Once they get him back Miles gear back, that defense becomes something a little bit different Now, all of a sudden, you look up and they get the right Draw and what I mean by that is the right team, you know, Let's say it's Cleveland versus Tennessee somewhere along the lines or Cleveland in a Raiders or whatever, and they find it right matchup. And then all of a sudden They're punishing you in the cold in the snow in the rain, and they're not asking Baker Mayfield to throw the ball because we got two dudes and Karim Hunt and shut behind this that could told the rock All we need you to do is make one or two throws and that's it. It's all about the right match up in I remember when we went to the Super Bowl. We play Philadelphia NFC Championship game We had lost to him earlier in the year. We wanted to see him again. But the divisional round playoff game prior to the NFC Championship game, we drew the San Francisco 40 Niners instead of the New York Giants, the New York Giants would have posed a different Type of opponent for us because they had Jeremy Shockey. They had some in our defense is lights out. They'd have been better probably still lost the game to us, but it would have been a different type of game opposed to One trick Pony, San Francisco that had Jeff Garcia. Into railway. We shut down two real ones. The rest was history. But he doesn't that make the point, though, that you know exactly what the Browns are. They are one trick pony. I mean, the fact that Baker Mayfield hasn't thrown a TV and it seems like almost I understand that Kevin stop passkey knows who he is. I understand that he's committed to the run game. But wouldn't you have to put some severity into the fact that you can't trust Baker Mayfield when you need him to that? You're correct about that. But what I'm saying is if you get the right opponent If you get the right opponent, then you could take advantage of that. And we don't know where Cleveland falls in this equation that But if Cleveland somehow draws the right opponent, but you could say that about everybody. Loki, you could say about every team if you draw the right opponent. You can't say that about everybody. I need you to tell me who the biggest poser is. And we're talking about the Browns like I can't. It can't be well depends upon what kind of opponent because I don't know if they're posers yet. I don't know that but used Jay's rationale If they're a one trick pony there, one dimensional and that one dimension isn't your quarterback and your quarterback has got to make some throws in the playoffs. If you're one dimensional. I get it The running game. It's portable. You can use it that whether the Browns know about bad weather more than any other team here recently in the league Jason there one dimensional team and their seven and three. Wouldn't that maybe be the definition of a poser? Well, it could be the definition of poser. But if you if you're talking about one game in the playoffs And let's say, for instance, somebody they draw stops. There. They get the Buffalo bills of top defense and they stopped the run game. Then they're going to be in trouble. They're going to be in trouble if they draw the wrong team in the wrong opponent. That could stop the run game. They're gonna be in trouble. If they depend on Baker Mayfield Drop back and throw the ball. 30 times I mentioned we would go to Cleveland at 6:40 A.m. Eastern, and Here we go straight talk wireless, no contract, no compromise That's welcoming. Tony Rizzo, ESPN. Cleveland, co host of the really big show alongside Aaron Goldhammer weekdays from 9 to 1 of your little self conscious lack of self esteem. I thought we had a really big show. Tell him that every time what sounds like a round hole that way you just go make that vegan Mac and cheese right now. And shout out somewhere to Greg. The hammer. "Okay, I know this one of your business you find just get the discount. Uh, silver past. Okay. This one's already been stated, because if you've ever listened to the show, you know he's mentioned is But if your first time listener welcome by the way two Keyshawn J will and Zubin Lakers over the Nuggets in five taking a shit. Taking what happened to us The other night was just You know they didn't. We didn't play as well as we needed to. From the bench standpoint in their bench play much better than ours. Our second unit has to do a better job in control their second union. That will be fine. I mean, you can't get basic triple doubles out two big guys and nobody else contribute Keyshawn Gables even presented by progressive insurance, all of our guests on the shell Pennzoil performance line, including defensive stopper. I bet he is thrilled with the way the heater playing defense in the way the Lakers were gonna have to play defense to be able to stop Jimmy Butler and suddenly the hero named Tyler Love this one. Baker Mayfield. Okay, there's four teams, of course in the AMC, North Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Cincinnati. And, of course, the Cleveland Browns. Baker is the fourth best Hubie in his own. Division. "I've never seen the Browns even competent, so if they were to make the playoffs if they were to ever Post a playoff game in a post pandemic world, and I got to see what so many people have told me about what happens in this city when the Browns air good. I mean, that is what I would love to see. So my standard for them isn't even winning in the playoffs. At this point. It's just if they got there, that would be the Cleveland sports highlight kids. Two calves won the championship in 2016. Wow. Incredible great expectations. I mean, I just can't get over the Nick Chubb calm. We'll have more from Aaron. If you're listening out there on the really big show every weekday afternoon on ESPN, 8 50 in Cleveland. More of his great thoughts on Twitter at Hammer Nation 19. He really brought some interesting thoughts this morning for sure. Aaron. Thank you so much for being here this morning. Happy to do it, guys. Thank you. Uh, all right. So we can't let this go key because while Aaron Goldhammer was saying post Jim Brown that this is the best running back she's ever had You had a quizzical look, so I picked up the old apple iPhone. What about that? Fine, dude. Ah, Go ahead. Don't think of him in a minute, Okay? No, no problem. No problem. I mean, they've had guys like Kevin Mac. They've had some really good max over the years. So Chuck came into the league in 2018. And again. We're not just gonna basis all on numbers. He's obviously extrapolating. What can you give us in the future? How does he pair well with Baker? How will all that work? So there's um There's some nuance here in 2018 e ran for 996 Yards, nearly 1000 yard rusher in his rookie year. 2019. This stuck up on some people because of help had brought Is worth 1494 yards on the grass. So we got better in the sophomore year, right Second League and rushing. When you consider that the Browns really couldn't do anything right. There was turmoil and chaos all season Long day ahead. Coach probably never should've been a head coach. Right. You get to the kitchen, get a confident head coach and they have a running back in the hills. Maybe he does even better and then this year, obviously, you know, it's been early, but he really thinks that Nick Chubb could play a role and even be a bigger star than Baker Mayfield. His point about Linda is great. Linda, where we're to stay. I know it's under baseball conversation, he would easily be face. You've got a great smile. He's got incredible talent. He's got everything you want your organization to be, but obviously 1 ft in 1 ft out, as he said, but to put chub over beaker or even like a breakout star for the camp that they might draft at that little store, I think, See, Baker still has a lot of sour going on around him. Based on the last couple years, right? He he has more got so damn tired of seeing his face last night. I look up when, with the commercial break breaker, Mayfield's selling some, so I'm like, okay, but I think it there's a sour around him from the last couple of years. But quarterbacks are always going to be in front of running back, so it's just but he needs to get out of this season. Like you say if he could get them to the playoffs, maybe get on the verge of Pro Bowl type performance in maybe make the Pro Bowl or right at the edge of it, that he will basically take a quarterback face of the team. That's just what is it? Maybe I understand what he's saying. Theirjob is shown over the last couple years that he is the heart and soul of that off. It's okay. When a quarterback is always going to be the face of the team. It's just that's what it is. You'll never see Nick Chubb. Not that you won't ever see Put it this way. You'll never see Nick Chubb the amount of commercials that we've already seen Baker Mayfield on. It's just not gonna happen. Listen, if David Montgomery Place five times better than Mitt Strabinsky, and the Bears were winning true biscuits still getting all the attention Because true Biscuit is the quarterback of that how it goes just real quick. Hammer nation there said he's been in town 15 years hasn't seen anything. And you just mentioned the Browns making the playoffs. This is what it comes down to. They have the longest playoff drought in the NFL. So then making the playoffs, which seems like a common goal for most teams in the league. When you start the season, it's been anything but for them, so they are in their own special category. When it comes to making the place. It's Ah, not good. That's right. Put it. It's just like one of those organizations when they tell you ready, get drafted. You're trying to figure out how not to go there, right. You know, most guys you Hey. Mailman. I'll play anywhere. There's well Fargo banks in every city, right? That's what you think..

"On here with your listen to some of this stuff yesterday in the break? It's kind of smooth Now I know you just didn't say some of this stuff in the break. I know you just don't say that word was that we wasn't listen to this, wasn't it? No, no was started. Kind of we was listened more. Ah, New addition. Joe Disi old school, Bryson Tiller total, So you're taking the vacuole? We also What else do we play that We had a little teeny Maria Rick James going Rick James. Okay, let's go. Let's find out what the deal is. In Cleveland this morning. Aaron Goldhammer. ESPN made 50 host to show they're really popular Show Hammer Nation. We've talked over the years, Aaron. Good morning. I think the last time I talked to you is the cabs in the Warriors in the N B. A It's been quite some time I wrestling Buddy Goldhammer, Greg the hammer Valentine Goldhammer with us this morning, Aaron the feeling of the day in Cleveland. We'd like to play flute fill in the blank. Here. It's one of our favorite games fill in the blank feeling of the day in Cleveland, is you guys the relief after last night is palpable. I was nervous. Don't be nervous. See I was nervous, and Cleveland was nervous because we felt like it was more than just oh, into that the Browns were looking at. It was really Baker Mayfield career with swinging in the balance, because if you go into against two division opponents and you lose on a short week, Toe a rookie quarterback at home who is a division quarterback who's also from Ohio, they all of this stuff was stacking up to tell a story that case, Keenum was going to be playing football for the Queen. One Browns before you know it, and this season was gonna fall right off the rails and so to see Baker and Odell connect to see the Browns run the ball the way they did see them scored. 35 points there, coach coach of the game and get this win and get one in the win column There was celebrating last night on our post game show. But more than anything else, I could sense the relief. When Baker and Odell hooked up for that touchdown. Well, you're gonna have some more celebrated throughout the years. I've always told you that just it's it's patients. You they'll be OK too. You know, they'll be okay. You've just gotta let it kind of marinate a little bit. Now it's only one game right. O. B. J had a terrific game. Baker Mayfield have terrific game based on last night, though, did you see enough to think that O. B J will be the long term solution there in Cleveland? He shot I think based on where the Browns airheaded, Um I think that the Browns are going to trade Odell Beckham and it's just a matter of when I know you talked about this. You guys talked about this and we played some of the audio on our show earlier this week. You know, it's the finances of this that they have to $15 million receivers at $30 million on receivers that the Browns are paying. They also already signed Karim Hunt to a contract. Tension. Nick Chubb, who I think is their best offensive player, as is coming up on that contract extension. They paid Myles Garrett 125 million. And if Baker continues to play well, they're gonna have to pay him And I just don't know if they have enough room under the cap for it to make sense. And just because Odell played one good half with Baker, which really was the first half last night. In fact, I don't think Odell even had a ball's thrown his way in the second half last night. I don't think he is an important enough player to this style of offense. And I think if he plays well that his value back in return, the Browns at some point are going to take. But I think it's just a matter of when is it going to be before the trade deadline this year is going to be after the season. But my guess is guys a year from now, Odell Beckham Jr is going to be playing somewhere. Wow. I mean, that that that's interesting, but at least they get off cheap because if they had me, I need off. 30 million, Right? Just just I'm just teasing when they When you look at the defense, right, Myles Garrett didn't see award. Those guys came to play last night against a young rookie quarterback that threw the ball 61 times and was effective in getting his team into the end zone three times. Is there any cause for concern? On the defense's side. Well, the Browns are super banged up in their secondary. They lost the rookie Grandell pit for the year with a terrible injury, and hopefully he'll be able to come back from that at some point, But it's not gonna be this season. They're missing linebackers at two corners. Greedy Williams from Alice, You and Kevin Johnson, who is an important player on their defense of the hope. Is that get some guys back, But I mean, yeah, There were a couple of guys playing in the defense last night. I don't want to name names because I feel like it's not right after Do they want? Okay, But there are a couple guys plan on the defense last night that should be in the arena League, the Canadian League or not in the national Football, So bios made a great play forced eternal. Denzel was fantastic on a J. Green, who was targeted 13 times and only caught three passes. That's awesome against still one of the best receivers and football, But you know, the Browns have defensive problems to allow 30 points to Joe Paro in the Bangles to allow five for five on fourth down. The nice thing is when you And you can correct those things hopefully headed into their next game, and then they have a little extra time. 10 days before they play Washington a week from Sunday. Aaron Goldhammer on with us from ESPN, Cleveland, Kesha on J Will and Zubin. Let me ask you this often off the field. Is there anybody on Cleveland's team right now? Currently in the sports world that could basically be the face of Cleveland sports post LeBron So, Keyshawn, we have that billboard space, you know, right across from the arena that became like a Cleveland landmark. Like when my friends from out of town would come in. It would want to take a picture in front of that famous LeBron billboard. It was it was like the most famous spot in town is even more famous than the rock Hall. You know what? Whatever else you know, Cleveland has to offer. And eventually I think LeBron belongs back up on that billboard in some capacity, But people were saying, you know here, put Baker Mayfield up there, Not after one game last night. He still thrown too many interceptions. Guys. I iving Nick Chubb is that good guy and Nick Chubb might be the best running back. The Browns have had It's Jim Brown retired. It has been long, and I think Nick Chubb is that good and the combination of shoving hunt. I think it's the best running back combo by far in the NFL. And I just think Nick Chubb represents so much of what the Browns want to be and what they should be. I mean, There's so many coaches that have come here and tried to throw the ball around 60 times, Freddie Kitchens and that's not Cleveland football. You know, you have to have an identity in this game, and I think when the Browns went six plays 75 yards without even throwing a pass, So I see that game last night, It dawned on me. We're spending so much time talking about Baker down with their chemistry and that really what the Browns need to be is a running football team. And right now, if you're going to put somebody up On that billboard. It's not Frankie Lindores. Probably we've got 1 ft. "Something in the flat something deep Now they probably call it. I don't know their terminology, but we would have caught it to 59. Squirrel and gold or pumping go so typically when their game plan in their defense is watching. All they're seeing him do is get up to that mark of I don't know 18 about 15 18 yards and break out. That's why when he stuttered there that D be settled his feet because he was looking for him to come back to the sideline in O. B. J put the foot on ground gone and you saw me doing it. I'm sitting here because it's beautiful when that works like that O J justice, and it's like this is how we doubted up. Perfect. Flawless. Baker didn't get hit did get touched. Oh, BJ didn't he'd grab it just worked. Perfect. Beauty is like art. Perfect is perfect. Like, all right, That's what I was doing that you would look at me like what do you do it and I sit there causes this beauty. It really was, And they they? I mean, the Browns needed it in the worst way. Coming off a disastrous debut for Kevin Stravinsky, who's Baker's fourth coach in three years. They heard just nothing but drama for the last three or four days. Now they get a short week. They get the win on the short week. Then they get the long week to relax. I've got the Washington football team in their own stadium, and then they'll travel. No vacations. Don't golden. No, just Stay right in your city in train and watch film. I want to see no videos and nobody, none of that head. I understand. It's been a long year, the long summer, but you stay right in Cleveland, right in those little corners and don't go anywhere, right. No combo. No need to get on a plane. Unless you're traveling to Tony's who watch there'll be a couple and double it with social media. They'll be spotted That's for sure. So O b j Happy for one night, Baker happy for one night. We're going to get to our Bart Scott here on the shell. Pennzoil performance sign. He's an 11 year. NFL that played for Baltimore played for the Jets. He joins us this morning. Good morning, Bart. I want to start with you with this. He'll be with us in just a moment. Aaron Goldhammer from our ESPN affiliate, ESPN Cleveland 8 50 was on this morning. And key and I were talking to him and we essentially said, Look, you know what is Oh BJs future in Cleveland? Yeah, it was just one good game. But there's been a ton of drama with a couple different head coaches, and there's some friction with Baker Goldhammer. I just wanna have this for the listeners that weren't with us this morning at 6:30 A.m. Eastern, because this is really important for anybody listening because this is huge. This is what Aaron Goldhammer said. Look Sooner or later, O. B. J is probably getting traded. I think based on where the Browns airheaded, um I think that the Browns are going to trade Odell Beckham and it's just a matter of when the finances of this that they have to $15 million receivers. That's $30 million on receivers. That the Browns are paying. They also already signed Karim Hunt to a contract extension. Nick Chubb, who I think is their best offensive player is coming up on the contract extension. They've paid Myles Garrett 125 million. And if Baker continues to play well, they're gonna have to pay him And I just don't know if they have enough room under the cap for it to make sense. And just because Odell played one good half with bacon, which really was the first half last night, In fact, I don't think Odell even had a ball thrown his way. Hey, in the second half last night. I don't think he is an important enough player to this style of offense, And I think if he plays well that his value back in return, the Browns at some point are going to take. But I think it's just a matter of when is it going to be before the trade deadline this year is going to be after the season by guest is guys a year from now, Odell back from Junior is going to be playing somewhere else. And for more on we welcome in Bart Scott in the shell Pennzoil performance. I'd Bart I'm sure you were able to hear what our Aaron Goldhammer from ESPN 8 15, Cleveland He's been in the city for 15 years. He follows the team as closely as anybody. That's his opinion as a hosted from the contacts. He talks to you from a football perspective. Do you agree it this time? Next year he'll be somewhere other than Cleveland. Of course, would be somewhere else unclear because I think that they have a natural out in his contract in 2021. That's always been a year that people looked at, so they're probably trying to figure out how to get some value for him before he leaves. I think I don't know, man. So I'm still torn between its only they know how they'll X inside that locker room. Um and what he brings to the table. But you expected this offense to be so much more dynamic. They had a good play design yesterday with a double move with the Speedo coming from the opposite side. Hey, still shows ability, Tio stretch to feel and make plays. But it just seems like He's not a guy. The chemistry isn't right there with him and Landry and if you could get something for him, nor that he's walking out the door. I knew no matter what we think. I don't think Cleveland's going to do well in his division. They struggled against a team that's in early in the process, and I think if you can try and get a chip or get a player gets something in return, that's probably the best thing to do. Speaking of getting something in return board, you know how we are as players attached to teams or universities. No matter how we left those teams. We still want to see them do well in route will for them route to win games when you look at Adam case In the New York Jets..

"Really the guy that belongs up there. The most is probably Nick Chubb. That that that there's interest. Let me ask you this because you're gonna be asked this every single time you come on the show with us. What is it that you want this year in the evening for the Browns? Other than the Lombardi. That will set it by you. So you know, different organizations and teams have different standards. It's I've lived in Cleveland for 15 years. Okay? I've seen just about everything. I've seen the cab, the worst team in the league championships in the Indians in the world. I've never seen the Browns even competent so if they were to make the playoffs if they were to ever host a playoff game In a post pandemic world, and I got to see what so many people have told me about what happens in this city when the Browns air good. I mean, that is what I would love to see. So my standard for them isn't even winning in the playoffs. At this point, it's just if they got there. That would be the Cleveland sports highlight kids. The calves won the championship in 2016. Wow. Incredible. Great expectations. I mean, I just can't get over the nick Chubb comments. We'll have more from Aaron. If you're listening out there on the really big show every weekday afternoon on ESPN 8 50 in Cleveland. More of his great thoughts on Twitter at Hammer Nation 19. He really brought some interesting thoughts this morning. For sure. Aaron. Thank you so much for being here this morning. Happy to do it, guys. Thank you. All right, so we can't let this go key because while Aaron Goldhammer was saying post Jim Brown that this is the best running back he's ever had You had a quizzical look. So I picked up the old apple iPhone. What on this one, dude. Go ahead. I don't think of him in a minute, Okay? No, no problem. No problem. I mean, they had guys like Kevin Mac. They've had some really good running backs over the years. So Chuck came into the league in 2018. And again. We're not just gonna basis all on numbers. He's obviously extrapolating. What can you give us in the future? How does he pair well with Baker? How will all that work? So there's some, there's some nuance here in 2018 e ran for 996 Yards, nearly 1000 yard rusher in his rookie year. 2019. This stuck up on some people because of how bad the Browns were 1494 yards on the grass. We got better in the sophomore year, right Second League and rushing. When you consider that the Browns really couldn't do anything right. There was turmoil and chaos all season Long day ahead. Coach probably never should've been a head coach. Right. You get to the kitchen, get a confident head coach and they have a running back in the hills. Maybe he does even better And then this year, obviously, you know it's been early, but he really thinks The Nick Chubb. Could play a role and even be a bigger star than Baker Mayfield. His point about Linda is great. If Linda where we're to stay, I know it's on the baseball conversation, he would easily be the face. You've got a great smile. He's got incredible talent..

"Denzel was fantastic on a J. Green, who was targeted 13 times and only cost three passes. That's awesome against Till one of the best receivers in football. But you know, the Browns have defensive problems to allow 30 points to Joe Paro in the Bangles to allow five for five on fourth down. The nice thing is when you win, you can correct those things hopefully headed into their next game, and then they have a little extra time. 10 days before they play Washington a week from Sunday. Aaron Goldhammer on with us from ESPN, Cleveland, Keyshawn J. Will and Zubin Let me ask you this often off the field. Is there anybody on Cleveland's team right now? Currently in the sports world that could Basically be the face of Cleveland Sports post LeBron So, Keyshawn, we have that billboard space, you know, right across from the arena. That became like a Cleveland landmark. Like when my friends from out of town would come in. It would want to take a picture in front of that famous LeBron billboard. It was. It was like the most famous spot in town even more famous than the Rock Hall. You know what? Whatever else you know Cleveland has to offer and eventually I think LeBron belongs back up on that billboard in some capacity. Uh, but people were saying, you know here. Put Baker Mayfield up there, Not after one game last night. He still thrown too many interceptions. Guys. I iving Nick Chubb. Is that good? Okay. And Nick Chubb might be the best running back. The Browns have had It's Jim Brown retired. It has been long, and I think Nick Chubb is that good and the combination of shoving hunt. I think it's the best running back combo by far in the NFL. Um and I just think they represent so much of what the Browns want to be and what they should be mean. There's so many coaches that have come here and tried to throw the ball around. 60 times, Freddie Kitchens and That's not Cleveland football. You know, you have to have an identity in this game, and I think when the Browns went six plays 75 yards without even throwing a pass. The ice that game last night. We have dawned on me. We're spending so much time talking about Baker down with their chemistry and their really what the Browns need to be is a running football team. And right now, if you're going to put somebody up on that billboard, it's not Frankie Lindores. Probably, and we've got 1 ft. "Even think about Dallas? Time for straight talk. Brought to you by straight talk Wireless. Give it to a straight. What did you see from Baker and O? B. J. And then we'll quickly hit on burrow to? Well, I think you, you you I saw exactly what I wanted to see Latte yesterday When we were on the show. I talked about being smooth making everything clicked meticulously being able to hit your targets being able to run precise route catched a football run after kids. Getting him out on the perimeter. One of the things that I think Kevin's too fancy learn from from the Baltimore game in his first game as a head coach is that Baker Mayfield is best on the perimeter bootlegs, waggles just things that he could see the field a lot better. You think a quarterback Z cease to feel a lot better because he's in the pocket? Well, guy who's a smaller stature like Baker made food? You want to get him out on the perimeter. Get him. Just scan the field, throw the ball down the field. One of the hardest throws in the Not a lot of quarterbacks can make it is the touchdown. Oh, BJ when he's running to his left, getting his shoulders squared around to be able to launch that football to a receiver on the outside, running a stutter go is just beautiful football. Beautiful work all the way around the way that they drew it up it undoubted up. It hits perfect. No, BJ was happy. And when you have a happy why receiver your life is easier from personal experience, you know, And I think that is what you came into this game with a whole bunch of criticism. Rightfully so because they were quiet during the summer. We expected them to, you know, be a great team last year, even though Freddie Kitchens was not a great coach, we just looked at the talent. But then this year when they came out against Baltimore They look like a Pop Warner football team. It just looked like a ragtag operation. It's so My thing was okay. When I lose. I need to see if this is a football team I need. I need to understand it when you have O. B J getting six targets for 75 yards and a touchdown right on four catches that sufficient for why? Receiver You don't need. Why will you do want to catch a ball a lot, but you don't have to be Productive with 15 grabs. You could be productive with four catches for 75 yards in a touchdown, because that's a killer running that double move on the outside. It took the heart out of the Cincinnati second gear. It made them think old is dude here with the blond hair is back and he was back last night. I'm I'm excited for you. We're presented by progressive insurance will go to Cleveland Boots on the ground with our Aaron Goldhammer, who works for ESPN. Radio Hammer Nation. 8 50. That'll be coming up in 6 30 like a wrestler's Well, yeah, you're right. Yes, I would. I want to ask you this, though A lot of people will say this is just the fan in me, but I know we were discussing this beforehand, and this is really interesting. A lot of people will say, well, the biggest difference for the problems from week one too weak to is in week one. They played the unanimous MVP in the favorite to win the division. And in week two. They played possibly the worst team in the division. But you threw cold water all over that. And that may be true. Right. It may be true that the Baltimore Ravens who are much better team than the sensitivity, Bangles dug like we don't know that that's not what we're looking for. At least football guys like me that think I know the game and understand the game instead of beginning I'm looking for a smooth transition from Baltimore to Cincinnati on offense. Kevin Stefanski was brought in to teach Baker made feel how to play the position to get the most out of Landry. Get the most out of O B. J. Chub Huntley Karim Hunt. That's what they did. Miles gear. That's what they did in the war. It was all over the field in the secondary for me, and that's what I'm looking for. No matter who the opponent is, when you talk about the New England Patriots. You know when you look at the New England Patriots, for instance, and a little six guys on defense that opted out starters. And everybody says Well, don't lose these players and I'm gonna be good. That's not what I'm looking for. I'm looking forward to see if they're going to bus in the secondary and people going to run wide open it score touchdowns, and when you see that doesn't happen. You know that they're doing their job. And when you look at the Cleveland Browns, and you see the completion percentage, getting Baker Mayfield out of trouble protecting him in certain situations, him not panicking in the pocket chump, pressing the hole and doing the things he's doing in the running game, adding in hunt, allowing him to gas, the defense That's showing me that you could potentially be a good football team because one wind turns into what to to it into turns into three and then all of a sudden we goto a Dallas and we pop them Now we start for the really good An image is bull straight Talk wireless. "There's a 5.5 point favorite against the Giants. By the way this week, that line hasn't moved. That was the look a headline. That's where it sits right now. Number one of Mikey's always go from week one week too, and see if there's some overvaluing or some major market corrections that are happening and see if you can capitalize. I saw the Browns are this Thursday night. Now it's short week right usually favors the home team. The Browns. Host the Bangles Battle of Ohio. Should the Browns be laying six to anybody, boys? I mean, not don't think they should be laying 60 anyone? Brown's Bangles. Is that what they're giving us this Thursday? This Thursday? My friend. Today's Who, for the big day out of the week already get burrow, though. At least I think there's something intriguing about at least watching young Jo Burrow Burrow Baker. Yeah, Burrow versus Baker. Over time he could could the Brown now the Browns might win by three touchdowns. I don't know. Maybe they bounced back after her. Harassing loss, but like should they be favored by Six against anybody. I don't I don't think they should answer is no unequivocal. No. Listen, the NFL has a formula. They have to get every single team on at least once on a marquee game Thursday, Sunday or Monday night game And so what they do is they say, all right, we got to get the Bangles and browns on ASAP before either team is in too big a hole. So what you frequently get In one of the first couple weeks of the season is a Browns Bengals or maybe a jazz combo where they're going to be on your Thursday night telecast to own one football spewed off while in the Browns. I mean, just you and they see the Browns elevated Cody Parkey. I believe, yes. More day Nate last year, Good luck to the Browns finished 7979. I think it's in l A bears are in l A, I think. Did you guys see l talk to Peter King about his schedule this year? He's taken like three or four weeks off. Yes, I did see that. "It is Carmen in your coat and you can hit us up on Twitter your clothes at your co 60 for that circle with J I'm at Carmen to Falco Play the Giolito No hit montage in a second here. Great job by Miller. You're going to hear it minute on Twitter. Speaking of Twitter, I told you still be sent a brief portion of our text chain from last night was like on this text chain. It's me. Sylvie Waddle, Pat Boyle. Merkin. And a dollar on him. Miller and Miller, Merkin and Miller. Yeah, I think it's the seven of us to believe at the beginning of that text chain, which has been going on for I don't know. 56 years Jirka was on and took himself. He took himself out and sort of gentleman. Yes. Okay. You're right. All you gotta do is silence it, though. If you're annoyed by it sounds don't don't permanently silenced its a great exchange. And so he tweeted. It's my no hitter alert texture Exactly. I get when I get one of those every two weeks from now. Yeah. Three in San Diego, Denilson laments got to know her through three guys. I know you're close, very even dont know that news. So Sylvie tweeted the portion that we were just talking about Even marking couldn't ruin Ji Alito's night market to his credit, declared it like through five innings. He goes pirates and getting a hit. You'll notice in there because we were also following the end of the Nuggets jazz game was coming down the stretch. Exciting stuff. It was Jamal Murray phenomenal the jazz. We're trying to finish off the Nuggets. They failed to write. So you see, One of my responses is my Nuggets aren't dead. Yet. Just kidding. Delaney and our buddy Aaron Goldhammer from ESPN in Cleveland. Sure noticed that he said Carmen's calling the Nuggets My nuggets. But it is only because I have a tender one way ticket. Yeah. Then you invest in them. They have no chance to win the West. I don't. I didn't really think they had a chance in October last year when it made the bad, but I've been holding onto the ticket for almost a full year. So yes, Aaron. For now, they are my nuggets. And you know what else? The stars in Dallas and hockey are my stars because I have a 12 to 1 ticket. For the stars to win the Stanley Cup in there up to all on the ABS looking to go on 30 tonight, Let's go start When I invested in Qualcomm. It was my Qualcomm. Exactly When I sold out of Qualcomm, there is no longer my quote, but you are a happy camper. Well, I would have been happy if I can get out. Got out when and where is that? A 800? It was March, 2000 and it split 4 to 1 and plummeted in value down that went from 200 to 50. Yikes. He had four times as many shares, right? Exactly what the 50. It was worth 800 now is. We're 200. Wow. Wow, Quark. Remember those old days, man that 20 years ago? Sure, Right. So Giolito throws the 19th. No, no in White Sox history, the first of this crazy truncated 2020 season and he's being celebrated. 40 was on VP last night. The White Sox are getting love. Finally, I told you it was. It was a joyous a Sox fan on Sunday night to actually watch SportsCenter highlight the young White Sox players. It was actually kind of talking about it saying here, Whiteside Fantabulous. Get out of your misery. We're normally ignored. Not anymore. The offense is good, and we've got Giolito sometimes too. Strike three first like out for tonight, this's his change of use on that one look like a wayside fastball coming out of the way and down to Frasier. He was no match for that wave and a miss strike three Gotta report. Lucas is if he gets a chance, he'll wipe you out with the straight change to a riddle. And it does. Called Strike 35 shots You didn't miss at a pirate base Runners extra strike three called Strike three. Not his tempo. Certainly. Lucas is anything but a double rainbow tonight to swing and miss it. Is it nine strikeouts for geo to down to six. The middle, tough play. Jose set himself very well knew exactly where the ball went and knew he had a short Tim trying to get rid of the ball as quickly as possible. Gets it there. Great picked by Jose on the back end, this one is a dandy. Every special night as a play like that one to sort out with her dream from Giolito six outs to go Lucas at 78 pitches, So still plenty of gas in the tank struck him out number 11 for Lucas. And five outs to go. Lucas Giolito at this moment is experiencing a rebel in search has not had game balls, just writes Strike 33 outs to get 25th swing and Miss Lucas Giolito tonight to go strike they sync up in a heartbeat to in the air right hand side. Adam Angle is there too down and now the only man to re space tonight for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Eric Gonzalez. Nobody's here to watch but everyone at home as their hearts in their throats. Fabulous stoning Great last night, especially the last couple innings off the bat. I told you during cross talk. I thought for sure it was a hit, but angle was playing perfectly. That wasn't some spectacular.
