"Everybody goes what's wrong so same thing with the rams your three. No this is good. This is where you wanna be now now. It's not the way you want to win or you're not GonNa win any style points but this ain't the BCS this is the NFL the goal is to go in and win football games however or you can but improvement must happen and Sean mcvay knows that he's trying to figure out he's got to figure out what's wrong with the running game and how to get that going how to get todd Gurley going again so every defense is using the patriots blueprint to Kinda slow them down right now DEMARCO for joining us here on the morning show you mentioned Todd Gurley and I'm not GonNa ask the is he okay okay and the the new load management question but I'll ask this one DEMARCO. Why don't they throw him the ball anymore. For the previous two seasons when they would throw him the ball he would do a ton of damage and so far we've seen him catch one pass this year yeah. That's that's a great question. I mean I think he's he deserves the chance to get some pass. Attempts and let's see what we can do the open field but you know. I agree this on the coach's show yesterday I said I wish you could still sneak up on people. I wish those screens were still catching people by surprise but just like Alvin Kamara just like anybody David Johnson down in Arizona when you get a feel for what these guys can do out of the backfield. You'RE GONNA draw. Seven eight is on you. So if you're taking a play I say. Could you start to shuffle towards the flat well. You're going to get people on you in a blink so in the offensive line every offense we'll we'll. We'll start to tell we'll give away tells tells so I I think it seems like the screen game and that's where Todd Gurley is dangerous. you have to find ways to get to it and catch these guys up balanced but maybe it's load load management. I don't know but maybe it's just the way the respect the Todd Gurley has no one's. GonNa let him out if you do if Todd Gurley get breaks away on the screen against your defense fire everybody because you know what's coming. DEMARCO FOR RAMS oilfield analysts joining us on the morning show. Let's switch to the other side of the ball and Donald finally had somewhat of the coming out party for this season. What took him so long to get going. He's finally got the sack but he has been a dominant force course no-one has really been able to block him one on one still he's still beating guys fast now it. Baker Mayfield wasn't so damn mobile. Maybe he has three same thing for Cam Newton who can still move around same thing for bridgewater and whoever else was in there he got to drew brees knocked him out of the game so the sax haven't fallen but he's been a force so it's finally nice to get that and call his name and say Aaron Donald Sack but you know he he's been the tip of the spear and do let me tell you as far as defensive line. Play is concerned learned. He is rewriting the record book the way he's making plays when he makes those tackled for losses. He is dead wrong. He is not supposed to be in that gap but he is just so damn quick quick. You have to let him do it. So you've heard me say this before. Production equal tolerance. You keep making big plays. You can keep making quote unquote mistakes getting up field. If you're the dominant so yeah I mean this is a generational type guy. This is like watching Lawrence Taylor place so I hope I hope people are really dial in and enjoying what they're seeing out of him. We'll because we've been enjoying what we're seeing out of him. Their question becomes now especially considering the first half of the rams offense. Is this a defense since I team now in terms of identity that's a great question you know. I am on the way in you know into Cleveland into the locker room after the wind and you can in here guys you know saying you know. It wasn't pretty but it's a win. w all that matters the right stuff they're feeling good about themselves getting the w but Michael Brocker stepped up up and said something that just really resonated with me. I love this football team and we always got your back so I I don't know if a defensive identity I guess you could call it eight offensive identity for the last couple of seasons but it's just a real sense of team whatever needs to be done that day to beat that opponent. That's what they're going to do so the defence events is more than happy to step up they've been more than happy to let the offense step up and do the work but yeah when when it comes time for them to to be on Front Street and when the football game. I think Victor Kluber capable of doing it tomorrow. You got to see it up close to team that came into the season with probably more hype than anybody else was the Cleveland browns. They're one and two after the loss on Sunday night. What did you see. Are they a good team or we're. GonNa see them. At the end of the year. They're going to be a playoff team or this at all hype and they're going to be the Cleveland browns. Maybe with six seven wins. No I think they're good man. Dan I really do I. I think Jarvis Landry Elbow back in junior. They're they're good receivers and Baker Mayfield. You know it's funny. He can multitask quarterback and he's really good with those arpaio's once they start getting that going and I think we talked about this pre game. part of my game plan. If I was Sean McVeigh was to make that head coach make as many decisions as possible and you saw what happen eight hundred nine draw. I still can't get over that there are a lot of things that went wrong schematically for that football team but if if they could ever figure that stuff out while all these guys is a young they are dangerous but look you you. You're at home. The Rams turned over three times and you still lost. That should not happen I can't put that all on just you know how it The coaching part of that team has to get better but talent wise yeah. They're young and they're good. DEMARCO far joins US AFTER EVERY RAMS TMZ game. He is a super bowl champ. Thanks tomorrow to show the people returns with more morning wakeup fun the next on the morning show. Roger's got a poll up this morning. Yes go on some of those results due Jim Henson's birthday people once again you don't have it right but they're picking the wrong song or Kermit the frog it was simply what was ask. Kermit's biggest hit his best Song Rainbow Connection or he needs to be in green so like sixty percent of the people like it ain't easy being green right. They don't get hit but they don't get the emotional connection with we. Everyone can see the music video now. Really Music video probably would touch you yeah. He's looking at the pond. I saw it on looking back when rajputs up a poet's made possible by Buffalo Wild Wings. It's called happy hour for a reason get to buffalo wild wings now for three to five dollars all day deal. So what are you waiting and for. Get here and get happy. Buffalo Wild Wings. Have you know what else they waiting for. What redskins or an three and looking bad in the process Jay gruden gets fired before the end of the season. Take it or shake it. Take yeah the poor Jay because the Washington redskins fans aren't very happy at twenty eight two zero. No pronounces repair. Yeah Yeah J. knows say knows the deal. Jay knows the deal. Owen three and you're not looking like you're GonNa win anytime soon soon and you just you. There's nothing you can do. When you start to get to this point. You are really notice situation you the situation going into the season. When you sign case keenum and you drafted asking you knew that okay I got about nine games to show what I can do and while the time you get past the halfway halfway point audio migos and that's one thing that Dan Snyder and his his little group of friends. They don't mind get rid of a coach time yeah they don't they they don't okay has there been a coast and left. Washington with Snyder and went on and actually no because well Sean McVeigh. I mean he wasn't the head coach but he was there. Don't count that count that and talking about the head coach can't count the assistance. I mean escape before they could poison him. Well Yeah you got without an era got out of there with the right crew but I think you you look at the coaches that have been there. There have been a microwave coaches that they bring back doc. You try to reheat coaches that all of a sudden. You never heard that one before Jim Zone. I mean come on. You just did that to do that. You didn't give Terry Robiskie a real shot. He was interim. You try to bring in spurrier out of college for whatever reasons Joe Gibbs. Who else did they have that was this Shanahan and all these reheats right all right next one Dak Prescott through the first three games of the season has nine touchdown passes. He will break the A team record of thirty six touchdown passes this season. Take it or shake shake shake. Ah He'll stay under thirty-six yes absolutely he won't. They're not going to allow him to get fancy right what they won't allow him to get fancy. He's got nine through three yeah but the date but that is against who Miami play the giants again yeah but they redskins skins Grado but okay so he's going to get nine hundred thousand those two games he might've thirty six thirty twenty six in the next next thirteen games twenty cents to and he's not a gunslinger like Romo was Romo. Romo thought he was a little far where he was up until you. You know all right. Here's the next one Tom. Brady reportedly was not on the same page with Bill Belichick when it came to cutting. Ab Loose Harry Harry is responding to that time. There's been reports you and Bill Belichick were on one side and that you're not on the same page with Bob Kraft who decided to release Antonio. O.`Neil Brown is that accurate but there's always reports and speculation about a lot of things that I have said or have not been a part of the reality is I don't make any personnel decisions yeah. I don't decide to sign players. I don't decide to trade him. I don't decide to release them. I don't decided to drop them. I don't get asked I show up and I do my job. I'm an employee like everyone else. How many show this we do the best I can do as quarterback. Maybe one I will be an owner and I can make all the decisions that I want but I would probably have to play another twenty years in the NFL to be able to afford that hearing that response in conjunction with Elvin with your story yesterday about Tom Brady putting the heart's on the Antonio Brown Post. Tom Brady wanted Antonio Brown to stay with the Patriots. Take it or shake it shake. The midges said he didn't just not his decision. Asian doesn't mean to question his decision. He doesn't make any personnel decisions whatsoever. I would have liked to have had a talented player. There would no issues who would all thirty two teams will take Antonio Brown if it was just Antonio around coming out of central Michigan in the fifth of six or seven around whenever he was drafted. They want that guy. They don't want the two thousand we in Nineteen Yeah. They don't want the twenty nineteen version of Antonio Brown so I understand fan. People want to connect the dots and they continued to germs spread the belichick relationship. We're Tom Brady or the bell. Check relationship with craft or craft relationship with Brady all all three of them together they they're fascinated by wanting to find out what could crack New England in every single year we go to the.

"But the height began officially this is the day Monday media days day when all the players really get to joke around and play and then it's back down to serious business. So FOX's Matt Napolitano was at Super Bowl fifty three media day with this report. It's the second day of media interviews ahead of Sunday's big game. Reporters will be able to ask just about anything in one of the final interview opportunities ahead of super. Bowl fifty three for the Rams are will certainly be the age questions surrounding head coach Sean McVay at thirty-three he'll be the youngest coach ever take the sidelines and a Super Bowl. There's also uncertainty for the ram surrounding running back Todd Gurley and status of that injury for the patriots the retirement questions could loom for QB Tom Brady and head coach Bill Belichick will deliver. What has become the custom brush aside to most questions that he's known for during Super Bowl week metropolitano? Fox News pants in Atlanta. Okay. That's media day Fifty-three. Well, everybody arrived in good health for the patriots except one individual the man who was inside the patriots mascot costume still dealing with injuries after he was tackled by New York Jets safety Jamal Adams, according to the National Football League network. The person's still dealing with John neck and back soreness. He wasn't admitted to the hospital, but was checked out for a concussion and seen by one of the site medics at the Pro Bowl in Orlando over the weekend prior to the Pro Bowl game Adams was signing autographs when he told fans he was going to tackle the patriots mascot up. To that point, Pat. The patriot had been a target of booze by a local a bunch of Orlando fans. Video shows Adams tackling the patriots mascot who got knocked down. The patriots spokesperson called it a painful attack, according to the NFL network. Pat, patriot still planning to go to Atlanta for the Super Bowl. Perhaps though he will be listed as limited, by the way. The New England Patriots have all the recent Super Bowl titles inexperienced behind them. But as far as the Madden NFL nineteen simulation next Sunday's game Super Bowl fifty three as far as that goes. LA Rams beat the patriots. So EA sports popular football video game simulation yesterday. Head Los Angeles. Beating New England thirty to twenty seven with Rams defensive lineman Aaron Donald sacking patriots quarterback Tom Brady. Four times hitting him seven times to win the Super Bowl MVP award. Jacob with a big old grain of salt. However because the Madden simulation was wrong last year predicting that the patriots would beat the Philadelphia Eagles twenty four twenty. And instead the eagles one forty one thirty three. Now since the annual forecast began with this video game Madden NFL has correctly predicted the Super Bowl winner. Ten the fourteen times me I wouldn't bet a dime against the New England Patriots never bet against those guys. You just don't know. We certainly make fun of that Pro Bowl every year, you know, because it really isn't that big of a game. But apparently for some reason eight million viewers actually tuned it in audience for the game peaked at five to five thirty eastern time at close to nine million viewers. Imagine that for what it's worth the people of Kansas City were rewarded as chief fan saw their quarterback defensive MVP honors Patrick Mahomes, the co MVP passing for one hundred and fifty six yards and a touchdown that meaningless game. All right. So why did McDonalds have to issue an apology police, it's growing number of vegan and vegetarian fans? Mcdonald's in Europe as added more meat free options. One of the new vegetarian menu items is a spicy veggie wrap. But several customers in the UK who recently tried it claimed that they actually found chicken in their wraps. Instead, and they weren't loving it. But the non meat eaters might need more than that before they bite into another veggie wrap provided by McDonald's people are going to be watching Sunday's Super Bowl just for the fun of it. There are plenty of folks will have a lot riding on whether or not the New England Patriots or the Los Angeles Rams win this thing. That's because a lot of people have money on the game. According to the American gaming association about ten percent of Americans say that they will bet on the Sunday's game which translates to about twenty two point seven million people in about six billion six billion be in bats, those are the legal bets. Currently only eight states offer legal regulated sports betting, which is why about one point eight million of those Americans plan to bend illegally through a bookie with millions more placing a bet illegally through off shore online bookie so who's everybody betting on. Well this poll right now found that fifty two percent of Americans will be spreading the hate putting their money in the Rams to win while forty eight percent will bet on the patriots. You know, legally, you can bet on just about anything. They have so many different things. "The Notre Dame game here on ESPN one thousand the players are all they're down in Atlanta. They had a media session this evening. And if you're a fan of the Madden game EA sports Madden. NFL nineteen predicted the Super Bowl and they predicted close game patriots and Rams tied at twenty enter in the fourth quarter Aaron Donald sacking Tom Brady, not one not two three before times hitting him seven times getting the Super Bowl MVP and the Rams beating the patriots thirty to twenty seven Jared Goff three hundred three yards. Two touchdowns in pick and woods with eight catches for one hundred three yards and a touchdown. Tom Brady to eighty seven two touchdowns and interceptions. James white Russian for forty five yards. Fifty five receiving and a touchdown. So we'll see how it plays out. But the Rams and that secondary you would think that Nicole Roby Coleman after what he did. And what he got away with in the game against the saints would just be quiet and play the game. No, he told Bleacher report he expects the Rams will be able to get to Brady quote all over the place. Roby Coleman said that age is starting to affect the Forty-one-year-old. Brady's play ages. Definitely taken a toll for him to still be doing it. It's a great compliment for him. But I think that he's definitely not the same quarterback was Roby Coleman toll Bleacher report Monday night, which is tonight Roby. Coleman said his words were taken out of context. He didn't quite mean. All those things what basically probably happen is that Sean McVeigh got to him and said, hey, shut up. The last thing we need is for Tom Brady to be picking on you on the right side of the defense for the entire half of the game. So you know Brady is a guy that he's he. Takes these things seriously. This is his ninth Super Bowl. It's disgusting nine Super Bowl and what eighteen years, and that's that's terrible that should be unfair. But he's there he keeps getting his team there, and is pretty darned amazing the US men's national soccer team. They've got a new head coach Gregg Berhalter who was coaching the Columbus Crew in Major League Soccer and their January training camp. And a lot of young players a lot of young players from around Major League Soccer because a lot of the other star players like Tyler Adams and Josh sergeant in Winston mckennie. And also Bobby wood at Christian pulisic, they're playing with their teams over in Europe. So a lot of other players were there and one of them was a player for the Chicago fire Georgia Mahala educated who grew up in the minds. I actually went to school with his dad over Morton east. "So coming up with got some nerd alerts. I love them the nerdy numbers from this game. Not the the obvious ones. I've given you a bunch of one hundred and five total points the one thousand one total yards the seven total turnovers the fourteen touchdowns. No, these are more obscure. And I think that you will enjoy them 'cause they're they're literally ridiculous outrageous numbers, but there's so much to pick apart from this particular game. I told you go back, and I would wind through. First quarter to fourth quarter. So we started with the best stuff. Right. The stuff that happened in the fourth quarter, the thirty five points the multiple lead changes the long touchdown plays. I two tyreek hill and then to Gerald Everett. We got the post game reaction, but I took so many notes. There's so many things that stand out from this game that I want to kind of go back. Now wind our way through it a little bit. And the first thing I wrote down is the family of sergeant Ron helix from from Thousand Oaks, the shooting the Ventura County sheriff's department being honored, and I talked about that confluence of emotions, and I really appreciate that. The Rams went out of their way to make sure that the first responders the firefighters certainly with the the local wildfire. That they were honored. And that whatever. Slight burst of joy or a distraction. They might offer. Does to by having first responders in the family of sergeant in the stadium. It reminds them. They're not alone. After when we go through really difficult things. We we feel like we're the only one in the world that's experienced this kind of pain or this kind of difficulty, and that's not true. And so to have a stadium full of thousands of people to be able to lift them up, and let them know that they're not forgotten. That's huge. So I appreciated that that family was there to light the torch. And there are a lot of first responders who were in the stadium. Courtesy of the Rams and the free tickets. And right away. L A moved the ball easily in that first quarter. Now there were eight penalty flags thrown in the first quarter against the Kansas City Chiefs. It was something that I noted as I was listening to Kevin Harlan on Westwood One. He noted it. I'm pretty sure they noted it on the TV broadcast as well. But yeah, I was thirteen nothing lead for the Rams after a seventy five yard drive and then in the eighty three yard drive. But we had this constant tug of war the entire time and the chiefs answered with three consecutive scoring drives of their own. The big blow really was the Kareem hunt twenty one yard screen pass. And it was kind of fun to see all the movement in the backfield to disguise or mask. What turned out to be very basic screenplay? Right. So that was kinda cool cream hunt is so versatile. He's got seven receiving touchdowns and seven rushing touchdowns now through eleven weeks of football. So that screen pass came after a sack fumble by Alan Bailey. So as much as we've been talking about what Aaron Donald did what Samson? No, I hear all the the wrong pronunciations in my head. And I'm like, no, no, no. I'm not gonna say the wrong way. The. The defense of focus certainly on the Rams because of the five turnovers by the homes. But there were some pretty incredible plays by Alan Bailey by Justin Houston for the chiefs as well. Not that. I should I feel like I should do a write in vote for Samson a com. After we did our Monday MVP, and we'll reveal that winter coming up here in moments, but it almost seemed unfair not to include Monday night football. So then the chiefs are with those three consecutive scoring drives and the big blow is that Kareem hunt. Touchdown and it comes because of a turnover. And then you you you have this kind of interesting spark to where Andy Reid challenged a penalty flag. Did you feel like that kind of lit a fire under the chiefs of bit? He challenges the penalty flag and going back to replay. You saw that the pass that was thrown by the homes was tipped at the line. Which would mean there was no pass interference. So in that particular series. The Rams did not find the end zone. And you had the momentum on the side of Kansas City. But then the defense for the Rams answers, and you get the first Aaron Donald sac and the forced fumble. And this was this was what blew up social media because Donald is twisting, kind of fighting almost backwards the unbelievable strength, but also the flexibility I think he does yoga. The way that he was able to almost twist around the linemen who was supposed to be blocking him and reach out the big Paul and force the ball away that was two minutes left in the second quarter. Oh my gosh. Thinking about how long ago that was it feels like a lifetime ago. But that was then the first touchdown for cop. Sam's able com he's scored from eleven yards out. But then Patrick Mahomes comes back and engineers a perfect answer before the half. So forty six total points and four hundred sixty two total yards at the half. You already had three touchdown passes for potholes before they got into the locker room. And that third touchdown pass came right before the break was one when he was on the move his body was going to the right and his arm was going to the left. So the touchdown throw was across his body. Just incredible the athleticism, and I know it got pointed out a couple of times in the broadcast. He throws flat-footed, and he could get in trouble that way. But I don't know the man throw like that flat-footed across his body. Maybe if he's actually stepping into it he jacking it out in the stadium. It's after hours with Amy Lawrence here on CBS sports radio the opening drive the second half. Then you saw the chiefs get stunted because Aaron Donald sack and another force bumble. And so it momentum is fleeting in sports. Right. The chiefs had it. But then the Rams grabbed it right out of the locker room. And they the Los Angeles ended up with their second touchdown after Kansas City turnover. Going through the third quarter. Then you had again that tug of war the Jared Goff scrambling touchdown. So he ends up going right up the middle, right? Because all the defenders for the chiefs have got their marks. They are locked in on the guy they're supposed to be defending and that leaves Jared Goff. He's the one nobody's buying the quarterback. So he's the one that's able to scamper up the middle out of the shotgun for touchdown. But then the chiefs answer a heavy drive with Kareem hunt and Travis Kelsey. And you've got Kelsey catching Mahomes fourth touched out of the game. By the way, you know, he's total number now. He's at thirty seven touchdowns this season. He did get called an MVP front runner. A couple times on the broadcast. But you've got another turnover immediately following that. It was like one step forward. Two steps back. They would do something amazing on offense. But then there would be this gaudy mistake. Abra come with the snag off a tip pass. And he goes twenty five yards then for a second touchdown. And I was really impressed. What stood out to me if how he had both arms wrapped around the football. Have you ever tried to run with both arms against your chest? Or without the ability to swing your arms. He it was all churning of the legs. And he's got guys hanging off of them. But he knows second-year player a linebacker. He knows not to expose that football. So that really impressed me because he managed a barrel into the end zone without giving up that football. And so was forty two thirty eight seventy points after the third quarter. And then we go back and forth. And we had the four lean changes in the fourth quarter. You've got the tyreek hill. Touchdown. You got the fifth turnover. Then by Kansas City and the third defensive touchdown of the game. Or I'm sorry the fifth turnover overall and the third defensive touchdown of the game. This was actually Alan Bailey. But Kansas City holds the lead for ninety seconds. Before Gerald Everett. First touchdown. I mean this fourth quarter itself was good enough for an entire game. It reminded me. A lot of the New England Kansas City game that happened within the money on earth Sunday night. I can't remember now, but it was also a game in which by the time. They got to the fourth quarter. It was back and forth back and forth. And it was really about who is going to end up having enough time left on the clock for one final possession, and you could see in the fourth quarter. I know the defense had a lot of big plays. But with this kind of a track meet they are exhausted they're exhausted. And so yeah at that point. I've only do you have the rules that favor the offense. But you also have a bunch of guys who are completely completely worn out still. Because of Sean McVeigh's weird play calling with like two minutes to go. There had to be two more interceptions off Pat homes six touchdown passes. But five turnovers. This game had enough to make a blockbuster movie. Probably would have cost a lot of money though. It's like big budget film. Eight five five two one two four two two seven. You can find me on Twitter law radio. And I am going to go back and get to some of your thoughts on the game. Because a lot of you were writing about the game. When we first started the show, we did solid ninety minutes actually an hour and forty five minutes on the game. I know a lot of you were writing. And then so I want to make sure that I go back and share though, so Ayla radio and a bunch of you weighing in on Facebook as well, we do have your choice for Monday MVP keeping in mind that the poll and the ballots were cast before Monday night football. "So coming up with got some nerd alerts. You know, I love them the nerdy numbers from this game. I told you go back, and I would wine through. There's so many things that stand out to be from this game that I want to kind of go back. Now wind our way through it a little bit. And the first thing I wrote down is the family and sergeant Ron helix from from Thousand Oaks, the shooting the Ventura County sheriff's department being honored, and I talked about that confluence of emotions, and I really appreciate that. The Rams went out of their way to make sure that the first responders the firefighters certainly with the the local wildfire. That they were honored. And that whatever. Slight burst of joy or a distraction. They might offer. It does to by having first responders and the family of sergeant heels in the stadium. It reminds them. They're not alone. After we go through really difficult things. We we feel like we're the only one in the world that's experience this kind of pain or this kind of difficulty, and that's not true. And so to have a stadium full of thousands of people to be able to lift them up, and let them know that they're not forgotten. That's huge. So I appreciated that that family was there to light the torch. And there are a lot of first responders who were in the stadium. Courtesy of the Rams and the free tickets. And right away. LA moved the ball easily in that first quarter. Now there were eight penalty flags thrown in the first quarter against the Kansas City Chiefs. It was something that I noted as I was listening to Kevin Harlan on Westwood One. He noted I'm pretty sure they noted it on the TV broadcast as well. But yeah, it was a thirteen nothing lead for the Rams after a seventy five yard drive and then in the eighty three yard drive. But we had this constant tug of war the entire time and the chiefs answered with three consecutive scoring drives of their own. The big blow really was the Kareem hunt Twenty-one yard screen pass. And it was kind of fun to see all the movement in the backfield to disguise or mask. What turned out to be very basic screenplay? Right. So that was kinda cool cream hunt is so versatile. "Sports radio. With Dan schwartzman's. Utterly ridiculous but very enjoyable. That's what you have to say about the game. We just witnessed Monday night football after what? Three hours and forty minutes or so ending right about midnight on the dot the LA Rams holding onto knock off the Kansas City Chiefs. No one wanted this game. It was a game of hot potato fifty four fifty one. Unbelievable. It was twenty three all at halftime. We were not disappointed. I think we all knew that this game would feature a lot of points a lot of yards and we were again, not disappointed one thousand and one total yards of offense. Total of fifty six first downs. Kansas City played sloppy football. They had five turnovers including three picks, you know, one of them was Patrick Mahomes. Arm getting hit the last one. Of course was kind of a desperation pass. Also, two fumbles lost on Aaron Donald sacks. The chiefs committed thirteen penalties for one hundred and thirty five yards. Third-down efficiencies. The chiefs for five of ten the Rams five of fourteen passing yards. Unbelievable. Patrick mahomes. Four hundred seventy eight yards Jared Goff four hundred thirteen yards. I'll tell you what we witnessed two of the best young quarterbacks in football. While we saw bachelor homes in his first year as a full time starter has been phenomenal. Look you can't pin the loss on either quarterback right or really any offense. If you're gonna pin the loss, it's got to be more on the defensive side of the football. A thousand and one combined total yards. Not a lot of defense was getting played. The Rams defense allowed seven point nine yards per play. The Rams six point one yards per play. That's incredible. We're going to head to the Coliseum in about fourteen minutes. We'll talk to our buddy, Pete, FOX. He was at the game. We'll get his reaction. Unbelievable. What he got to witness there? Because that is a stunning stunning game. You don't see games like that very often? In fact, the only time you see games like that is college. Right. Well else. Do you see games like that? Do you like games? Like that though. Do you like high scoring offense of games where there's really no defense. There is no stoppages. You know, my answer is. Yes, here's why weren't we entertains? This wasn't good football backing to sit here and tell you this was quality football. In fact, if you're an NFL fan, I think you have to be disgusted by games like this. But in terms of pure, entertainment, and pleasure to watch. Sure. This was fun. I'm not going to sit here and complain about a game that ended with one hundred and five total points being scored where the quarterbacks combined to throw for eight hundred and ninety one yards. Was this Texas Tech against Washington state is that what we witnessed tonight? But the Rams improved to ten and one the Kansas City Chiefs approved tonight in two, but Shawn here's the question. I'm going to ask. Did either team show you tonight? That they could win a Super Bowl. Let me start. No. Because you don't win a Super Bowl giving up over fifty yards. You cannot always outscore your opponent when you're giving up fifty plus points. Right. I was just going to ask you that question. I was going to say after witnessing these teams play tonight. Are you more concerned about the chiefs and the Rams defense going forward? Absolutely. We're coming in. Yeah. I'm more. Absolutely. Yep. And doesn't this kind of reinforced the argument that maybe the saints are the best team in the NFL? Yeah. I don't know how great their defense is either. But I mean, it's it's better. But there's no great defense. If you look at the top teams football today. Right. Yes. Yes. The patriots. Atrocious. The chargers turn out to be real phonies. And they had a decent defense was only going to get better with Joey Bosa back. If you want to talk about good defense is the Tennessee titans may have the best defense out there right now as ridiculous as it may sound, but the top teams a ten to one team has an awful defense. And that's the Rams a ten a nine in one. Saints team is a you know, nothing to write home about defense the Kansas City Chiefs are nine into and that defense is atrocious. The patriots are seven and three. And that defense is pretty close to atrocious. There are no real good defenses anymore. There's no eating. I'll tell you what the Steelers there. Okay. Here's here's the question for you. Look the Chicago Bears aren't a great team. Right. But boy, oh boy. But right, they might be more balanced than any team that we've seen because their defense is pretty good and their offense is okay here you have teams that are great offensively in atrocious defensively. There's no middle ground with them. Right. There's no there's no evenness. This is this is a see-saw that is clearly tilted to one side the offense up the defense down while the bears. The sea sauce kind of even right? I'm telling ya. Don't count them out. Don't count the bears out because they actually can make stops. Vikings are decent team that to me. You know, they're struggling this year. But there's talent on that team. And the bears won that game by five. All I'm saying is I enjoyed the game. But if you're a Rams are chief's fan, you have serious questions about the viability of your defense in the postseason. And if you're the Rams listen you have to keep winning these games because you do not want to go on the road to New Orleans in the playoffs. You don't want to go to New Orleans in the NFC championship game. You want them to come to you? You've already lost in New Orleans. That's the one loss you've had. So here's the other thing we we have to get into. We talk about Patrick Mahomes. We talk about how good he is. Right. And he's tremendous. Jared Goff is pretty good. Jared goff's gonna throw for five thousand yards and thirty five touchdowns in a pretty decent amount of interceptions. And yet it's like, oh, we don't really talk about him as much you notice that Shawn. Like were so impressed by Patrick Mahomes that we should be. He's got thirty seven touchdowns. He's now to ten interceptions. That's good enough for a season. He's done it now in eleven games. But we watched on the other side of Jared Goff is a smart quarterback doesn't really make bad decisions. He's got tremendous. Accuracy, a good enough, arm and Mahomes show tonight. He is somewhat of a gunslinger though, he's got some pretty decent accuracy as well. But boy, I mean, I I might be a little early to call Jared Goff an elite quarterback, right? But is the trending that way. Is it fairly obvious? He's trending that way. Yeah. Yeah. What a difference. Two years makes right? From Jeff Fisher. I know amazing amazing season. He's having right. He does not get a lot of the praise that Patrick Mahomes has gotten drew Brees for that matter. But you look at his numbers. He's got he's on pace for five thousand three five thousand yards past five thousand yards thirty five touchdowns and ten interceptions. And by the way, he's only thrown one interceptions last five games. Just think if he had big hands. Well, here's the question. Question. You remember I remember that. But here's the big question. It was clearly at first no question. You would take Carson Wentz over Jared Goff. Right. The first couple of years. It was no question. You would take arson once? You still believe that considering us? Yeah. Kara take this consideration. Carson Wentz has already had a serious leg injury serious. You know, I think that gap has closed significantly between Carson Wentz and Jared Goff. And rightfully so it's closed the gap is closed. But of course, I'm still take because Todd Gurley plays for the Rams. There's no Todd Gurley on the eagles. No, that's true. A Todd Gurley. Top-five NFL player for now. That's an interesting right in the NFL in the NFL. He's the number one running back in the NFL. Right. We could say that. Yes. Saquon Barkley who's these? He's in there. He's in that conversation and look net. Right. I mean, there's no on bail. He's not playing right, right. I think you can I think you could say that. Yeah. I think he probably is the best. So now is he more valuable than the top receiver in the NFL, whomever? You wanna put you want to Antonio Brown Julio Jones Odell Beckham junior, Michael Thomas who is more valuable. Yeah. Early. I take these more valuable certainly no line minutes. It's hard to say I don't offensive lineman. I don't really. Gurley over any offensive linemen. How about a JJ habit? A defensive player. Would you take him over an Aaron Donald? That's what you really can't though defense. And that's that's hard. You really can't. Yeah. Yeah. That's why it's such a different position that it's not fair to try to lump in a defensive player with an offensive player. So just looking at pure offense. You know, if you look at the quarterback, how many would you take before you take early that? I guess that's the question. Rogers breeze. This year. He take him a homes Goff. I'm thinking, I wouldn't take off over girly. You take him Mahomes. Yes. Okay. By which take gafa over him because on the same team, you give him more credit, right? Yeah. I do. Okay. You're not taking Brady this year. I don't think you're taking Brady this year over him. Gronk now. No, I wouldn't take wrong. Chelsea. No calcium girl. I actually would take Russell Wilson. Yeah. Because it's hard because the quarterback means so much in the NFL, but did the girl he's he's a generational player. Yeah. That helps air to put that label. Yeah. I think you put on your argument. Where is that? In. What is for as the quarterbacks concerned what fall into? Yeah. Where do you put a Goff third thirteen year? He's not. What? Well, he's not at leave. That's the first here. Jared Goff not elite yet. Can you can you say that? But then can you say that what's his name? Not yet. No, not yet. Carson Wentz is an elite yet. No. None of those young guys are really elite yet. I got you know, what we I agree. We're going to head to the the Coliseum. Pete FOX witnessed that unbelievable game. Very lucky of him. He's going to join us from the cost. I'm going to find out more about what it was like to be a part of that. I mean my goodness. And does he have concerns when it comes to the Rams and the chiefs based on the fact that both teams obviously were incapable playing any sort of defense be FOX joins us next from the calcium going deep. Dan, Schwartzman, NBC sports radio and the NBC sports radio mobile app..

"This instance, and the Rams they wanted to have the right defensive lineup with the chiefs with no timeouts KENDALL. I'm telling you, this is something the chiefs will take. Well, I believe that. And the fact is they lined up they had three wives on the right side. And now, I believe they'll come out with some type of other formation because I I don't think they'll try to let the Rams lineup to what they just showed them homes. What a night after a slow start. Yeah. Really is a sixteen in thousand nineteen for two hundred and sixteen yards. Only mistake he held onto the ball a little too long Aaron Donald sacked in defeating camera. It was recovered by Samson Eddie Cam for fumble return for a touchdown. Now. The chiefs third down and four at the ram eight twenty three seventeen Los Angeles. Just twenty seconds remaining in the first half chiefs out of timeouts ranch showing blitz at home, three wide. Right. So is Spencer where Muhammad stepping up into the pocket being chased. Sunday, Patrick Mahomes. Rabbit out of a hat at the end of the half. Is commonly spikes the ball? And the chase can regain the lead on an eight yard touchdown pass the ability to flush out of the pocket. Keep your eyes up understand that you've got the league's leading sacker after you. You just threw an interception earlier. I mean, I it's the fumble rather. It's amazing. What this young kid is doing the game is simply not too big. He's playing he's competitive. He's making plays and just a reaction after giving up the sack and strip for the fumble recovery. He comes right back into the face of the Rams and hits them with a long drive and a touchdown. Let's not forget the clock management that the young kids showed right there as well. That was great now. But curry will try to get the point after remember, Greg's align missed an extra point earlier for the Rams, but cours point after is out..

"Whoever gets a special teams play. Whoever gets a big sack on third down and gets off the field. If feels like I won at thirty five wins thirty fat low. Yeah. I mean, I know that's high I know that tie. But then that feel put you this ransom score for two points all season. But they've been right around it every game. And a couple of games have been way ahead. They could have gone over forty relatively easy had they've been inclined to do. So that this has been a handful of times where they've been in it and kind of we don't need another one here. Todd Gurley fell on the ground on the one yard line. And one of these games they could have gotten forty. I'm not worried about that. I'm worried about can they get the play that they've gotten Aaron Rogers sees me Aaron Donald sacking Russell Wilson. Whether it's Dante Fowler strip sacking and recovering against Russell Wilson. Whether or not it's that blocked field goal or blocked. Punt in the end zone that they had against the chargers. Whether it's a big sacramen- Donald Kirk cousins late in the fourth quarter. When the Vikings are driving. They've gotten that defensive place. It's it's sometimes late their first half defense has been really bad their second defense even against New Orleans. They'll give up ten points in that second half. My question is not necessarily about the offense. Obviously it's for both teams what chiefs due to slowdown Todd Gurley who's gun to end zone every game since he's been NFL based not with Jeff Fisher was here. But go ahead. I understand what he's the junior high office or something like that with tongue earlier than say much anything. He came on blast. He was very frustrated and what on earth can Rams do key the slowdown hill. Because once he gets the ball Neil field. It's almost a ramp. Yeah. But what you wanna do at him? Is you wanna try to have somebody shadow him in play zone defense behind you still matching man to man and play zone behind? So that the thing is having. Having they've been doing that against no. Oh. Gonna blow up that zone. No. Don't want to do is play zone. You want to shadow him with somebody somebody's in nickel situation running run around with him in behind him playing zone. So when when that particular person the ball is being thrown he's there to try to defend him with make Atari he'll kind of go to obstacle course. Meaning like the sole fan. So you kind of want to shadow him is much as you can you want to put hands on him and disrupt timing out right off, the bucks. He's a smaller guy. So the moment that you jam him at the line of scrimmage. I gotta get off of you. Jared Goff can't sit there and wait for home. Patch holes can't sit there and wait for him to get open. He's got to get to another second third receiver. And that's how you disrupt his timing will earn Donald and soup able to get to them. I mean, we see down Donald seems to get the home a lot more often late in the game is fatigue. Is it just that he's wearing his guy out by the fourth quarter? The guys spent that could be the case. I mean, he is big strong do very very strong. What you what you do? West. Would you do with them? No is you disrupt. At the line of scrimmage, if I'm putting hands on Kelsey in not letting him have a free release. Now, all of a sudden, Patrick Mahomes has to reset the cock. And look again, he has the recent cock and look before he decides football if he resets to it three times. He don't get he's going. He's going to get hit in sided ear hole by one of those big dues up front. I mean, that's just exactly is. When you make the quarterback pool a ball down in any has to move off his big or those ear holes..

"But we've got Rams and we've got seats. This is the one versus the two right now in the NFC undefeated team, and it's six one team, although everybody seeing Nick Mullins rear view mirror and getting a little panic leak may be catching up to the Rams or at least ask you. If you think that's the case three of the last four wins for LA been within a field goal Bill. We'll start with you who has advantage Sunday. And what is Rams have the advantage in the there already was stellar? They added Dante Fowler. They got a edge rusher. They needed their offense can be unstoppable. They've won big games on the road in places in Denver in Seattle. They can play in these conditions. There's better overall team in New Orleans. They have more weapons were ways to beat you. They got a coach that's all that's on the cutting edge. I'm taking a Rams filers plug in and play. And he's going to be good to go for. Yes. From the edge. Absolutely. What do you pay? I just don't understand Bill picking an LA team to win. You remember Bill? Good times. We've had a New Orleans, and you know, how long those to window every none of us. I want to hear more about that. What we're getting that going to commercial break. All right. Go ahead. The saints. The saints at home are invincible as far as I'm concerned, they rarely lose. They're they are number one. We know about girly. But the saints are number one. It gets run in the NFL this year. I got the best leading passer in the league this year. Drew brees. They've got a running game. They've got wide receivers. I think this is a bigger game to the saints because the Rams can lose. And you know, they've had three games to two and three they've won by. They're ready to lose on the road. Sarahspain? They are in fact, Vincent because they're ten and eleven and their last eleven at home. So that's not invincible. But that being said the reason part of the reason they've been so good is because drew Brees is getting unbelievable protection. He's only been sacked nine times this season, which is only more than last night in one game. But it's also one fewer than Aaron Donald sacks on the season. Which means that we might see some real pressure for. Drew brees. And I think until the Rams lose a game and actually full on lose a game. They will always be my favourite even in New Orleans. Give it absolutely. I mean, there's no evidence to suggest that the Rams would not win. This won't win this game. Bill pointed out, they have a better offense Bill went out. They have a better defense. And what no one point out is guess what they also have bettle better special teams top five in the league in that category right now, and they're playing what they world of confidence. And even if girly is taken out of the game somehow by by the same. They still have weapon. Okay. Speaking of a world of confidence. It sounds like the trip in Baton Rouge or New Orleans wherever you guys that pledge skied and paid shared in some confident moments. I wanna hear about this. We'll go to break here by yourself. Play for fifteen just get to the good stuff. Please go ahead and go what I hear about it. No. I can't I can't even begin to go. There. Don't remember. Neither. All right. We'll take a break your cellular side. So Bill I said put on a pair of my name.

"This improved resurgent defense, the key to cancel sleep on the fact that once they get back Houston, embarrassing, we were probably there to best defensive players that clearly is going to help who've what they're doing on that side of the football, but they're also their office. As you mentioned, this is. Explosive as e- ever seen. It's almost a given when I watched the team. I wonder how the defense is gonna play. Touchdowns people forget. He led the league in rushing just last year. Tyreek hill has not only blazed the league would is so, but now is route running ability kit finding insole. Kelsey can put up numbers like Sammy Watkins, a may big plays like this. This squad has unlocked this offense with Patrick Mahomes and shout to Andy Reid who had the foresight to draft him. Be give him a year to be nurtured under Alex Smith, a team that was really good, but had a ceiling and like Jim Harbaugh, Andy re took a chance on putting him out there with the winning team and is rewarded by this level of success that we're seeing from homes. It's one thing when you've been in sports media for so long as you understand how narratives change over years. Andy Reid was a punchline as a head coach, especially with the eagles clock management. He used to always get clowned Andy Reid in the playoffs and this and that. Now Andy Reid is being celebrated like he some guru whose changing the game, and it's like, it's like, I remember this. I'm sure he does to like three or four years ago talking about how great I am as a coach. But now we're all just very. Very hilly. So any of his naysayers in that situation, you can point to any body scenario has been so where a long time and point to the bad decisions that they've made. But he's always been a quality coach. A lot of his assistants go on and get jobs throughout the league that shows the level of respected. He garners and again, Mahomes the way he's playing is truly outstanding. A guy that doesn't look like he sounds yet when he gets behind center, I'll tell you what he's lighting this league. It really is. And another team who's almost been overshadowed by the chiefs leading this league up Los Angeles Rams the Los Angeles Rams continue to be undefeated. They went up against CJ Beathard and the Niners who kind of gave him a little bit of a game at first, Aaron, Donald sack CJ four times. I'm finally ready to ask this question. I've been resisting it. Do you think the Rams will finish the season sixteen finish the season sixteen. But I do think that their ability to have dominance on both sides of the football. Usually, you can't argue that team has the best defensive lineman and or player in Donald, but also has the best running back and or player in girly. They have that insult. They're going to continue to be successful, but I don't see him going undefeated just too tough. The Panthers beat the eagles. But what I wanna talk to you about is what happened before the game. Now we all know Eric Reed has been recently signed by the Panthers, and here was the scene in before the game. Malcolm Jenkins on the eagles Eric Reid is on the Panthers, and let's listen to what went Anita Baffoni this this has has happened for the game, started on the. Before the point? No. Exchange where nothing with that was. Anything to do with the disagreement about the players. Coach, he's a Selo. Yes, I believe Malcolm capitalize on the situation. He co opted the movement that was started by Colin to get his organization funded. This cowardly. He sold us up. He was corrupt from Joan. He knew what he was doing from his goal is to sell us out and he did that. I would never get up here, say anything bad about somebody who these intentions were real about helping in their community, especially the black man. Some, what does Eric read me when he co opted the movement started by com- I hate this so much to see to my brother who intentions in hearts were in the right place, but it got it has gone wrong for public consumption..

"Speed our number eight five five three two three four NBC back. The football quick before we get to this Ryder Cup discussion. I heard this conversation going on yesterday again at a another job that I have are. We talk sports on the radio. And it's funny that it came up because I was thinking the exact same thing as it happened. I don't know if you were watching the Rams game against the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday night. Probably most sports fans were but during that game late in the game, Aaron Donald whose otter beast broke through the line and sacked. What's his name the Minnesota Vikings quarterback drawn a blank on his name right now? But Kirk cousins, but during the sack as it was happening. I again, I mentioned I'm the spotter. Some looking at this through the Benach, I've got an up close view of what's happening here. Aaron Donald sacked Kirk cousins in a way that looked like this is what the NFL wants defenders to do when sacking quarterbacks. He broke through the line. Got hold of cousins, wrapped them up real fast. Very easily could have just falling on him with all of his body weight. But didn't did they sort about payroll at spin move bringing him to the ground in a split second. And then spinning himself and bouncing up. Now, I don't know if Aaron Donald is like worked on this in practice like this is how I'm going to say. Sack. So I don't draw these fifteen yard personal foul penalties where I'm landing on the quarterback to cause him further damage because this is the big thing. Now, what we're hearing over and over when people are watching the NFL seeing these personal foul penalties happen. And most of the former players who were analyzing the game. Whether it's on television, or on the radio, you hear this phrase over and over again on kind of sick of it. But the I don't know what you want him to do. What do you expect them to do? Well, Aaron Donald is figured it out. He knows what to do. Now. I don't know if he can do it every single time 'cause I give these guys a ton of credit for making that particular thing. Tackling somebody at a very high rate of speed I give them a lot of credit that is so much harder than it looks like, especially if you're a linebacker or a corner or a safety, and you're flying at full speed trying to tackle the guy. Right. It's not. Not as easy as it. Looks by any stretch of the imagination, and I have to imagine I never played football at any level other than you know, out the park on thanksgiving and New Year's day Turkey bowl and the hangover bowl. That's it for me and football tackle anybody ever. But it has to be amazingly difficult to get past the guy in front of you. And then when you do run down that quarterback and grab him and bring him to the ground all by itself. Just that is very very challenging, right? And the body control involved in getting around a guy who's pushing you and doing everything in his power to keep you from getting to the quarterback. Then once you get past him and more often than not you're not clean past him. You got one guy pushing you probably got another guy. Bumping into you. I mean, it's it's extremely tight in there. So once you get through you got to you got the quarterback, you got him. You got to wrap him up bring down because if you don't he's probably strong and nimble enough to get away from you. I know you're. Bigger as a lineman. But nonetheless, these quarterbacks get away all the time. I look at Ben Rothlisberger. I mean notorious over his career for getting away freeing himself from the hands of a defender. So think about the defender he's got the quarterback I to bring him down. Oh, but I can't do it too forcefully. I don't know. I the thought process of being able to gently the right word. I don't know of gently is the right word. But within the the new rules, actually, the rules aren't even that new within the new interpretation of the rule. You can't land on the guy you cannot drop your body weight on top of him. So I got him. Can't let him go. How am I gonna bring him to the ground without him getting free? Well, Aaron Donald seems to have figured it out. So the guy that I I was listening to I work with in San Diego, former charger former patriot rejoined burgers said look a lot of us. Former players have looked at this and said, again, those those three words what do you want them to do? What do you want him to do? That's actually four words. Sorry. But I kind of agree. What do you expect? What else is there? How do we interpret this? How do we execute this? He said, I didn't know. What it looked like until I saw it. And I remember thinking the exact same thing. That's what the NFL is looking for. I don't know if you can look it up online or not. Do a quick little YouTube Google search here to see if that is online you might be able to find that sack and see what I'm talking about to go. Okay. Because I'm sure there are a lot of sports fans that feel that exact same way. Like, what do you want him to do? There's a there's a viral video floating around which is whole Larry as it appears to be just a regular dude and his daughter, maybe it's his wife. I don't know. But you know, it's like how to sack the quarterback, and he just him and the girl and he runs up and grabs her, and she kind of goes stiff, and then he gently as if he's putting her to bed laser on the ground pulls a pillow out of his back pocket and puts it under his under her head. And it's really funny. That's another thing. I would recommend looking up. But you know, the joke is what you want him to do. This is football. It's not a gentle sport you can't lay down and put a pillow under their head. But the fact is that that's what the NFL seemingly wants you to do. Now. You can argue all you want. Yeah. It is. It's right here. It's on the sports daily dot com. Aaron Donald throats, Kirk cousins to the ground like a rag doll. Yes. But. I mean, it sounds more violent than it is just watch it watch that video of Aaron Donald sacking Kirk cousins, that's what the NFL is looking for you bring him to the ground forcefully. But you're not landing on him. And again, I don't know a barren Donald's worked on this. I don't know if that's just the way it turned out. Could be who knows. But the fact is that I have a feeling that more people are going to be attempting to do that to stay away from this fifteen yard penalty. Now, we know at least we have some sort of video evidence as to how it should be done there. It is again, I found it on the sports daily right go, look it up Aaron Donald sacking Kirk cousins, it looks like that is the way you draw it up if you're on the NFL office, right? Maybe they're showing those videos to people. Maybe they're saying when you know. Would clay Matthews gets that penalty? And clay Matthews is upset they're saying. Of course, clay Matthews happened before Aaron Donald made the sack, but maybe they're saying, hey, go watch the Aaron Donald sack now you'll have an idea as to how to do it. There are still going to be guys that fall on the quarterback. Don't get me wrong. I know it's not going to be a perfect science. And I think that there are more players than I expected trying to do the right thing. Monday night football, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Pittsburgh Steelers that Joe McCoy guy coming after Ben Rothlisberger. Got got got up to him a little bit close got near him a little too late. And he was he was miked up. So you hear him apologizing? My bad man, my bad, which I thought was very very interesting because you don't hear that very often at all. But I feel like there are more NFL dies trying to do it the right way. I thought it would be the other way around that theory that thought process of I've done it this way my whole career. It got me this far it Nate me a rich man got me to the NFL. I'm not changing a thing, you know. But ain't broke don't fix it. It doesn't feel like they're all doing that. I think there are a fair share of guys that are out there. Trying to understand this trying to figure it out trying to do it the right way. I think it has a lot to do with the coaching too. And we heard from I think it was Bill ballot. Check they practice. I mean before before the what is a catch rule was changed this year going into the game. Excuse me. Sorry there cough. You heard him talk about we practice a certain way to catch the ball and secure the ball. Well that kept them from having catches overturned. So had a lot to do with coaching. Now, I'm assuming that they probably still do that. Even though the rules changed. But the fact is that they worked on being efficient at dealing with the rules playing within the rules, love them or hate them. They are what they are. They're the rules that you have to abide by and sometimes those fifteen yard penalties can be back breakers. So you don't want to have to incur one of those. If you can't avoid it. So we'll see if there are more guys sacking the quarterback trying to employ the Aaron Donald spin payroll. Wet rag doll technique. All right. Let's hit the break a little early. When we come back. We'll get into this discussion about the Ryder Cup. And why the Americans are just stinking it up. Once again across the pond, I'm Pete FOX. This is NBC sports radio on the NBC sports radio app..

"Think about that. Skip that was a short week, and we saw thousand over a thousand yard about Ben's own a short week. So this is where the game is going. This is what the NFL wants. I don't really know what else to say. It's the simple clay. I know you're smart guy. You can read, you can understand and comprehend. What if you put your body weight on that quarterback, they're gonna throw a penalty. You need to comprehend this because you hurting your team. So what's so hard about what you just explained? What's so hard about that? It's not hard spent and clemencies smart guy USA I'd say, wait, and every time I watch him talkie he said, got some introspection to him some depth to right guy. Quick study. We'll just explain you cannot bounce on the quarterback simple as that. And I told you this has been a campaign of mine for like twenty years. The most unfair movement in all of National Football League football was the ability of the pass rusher to follow through with the sack and bounce on the quarterback because he's completely defenseless and usually smaller than the past, right. And if you let the pass rusher crush him into the ground, bad things you're going to happen. A collarbone going to snap. A shoulder is going to be separated. He's going to whip lashing get concussed because of the weight of three hundred pounds on him. As he goes backward into the turf because he's not ready for it. He's trying to read. I auction second option Bom, third, and he's on his back and he gets crushed by three hundred pounds when he weighs two twenty five. So to me, I think we're going to have fewer because it looked like Aaron, Donald and indomitable, sue, got it. Last night, it looked like they'd finally let it get in their brain. We can't do that anymore. And if we could see the first. Aaron, Donald sack last night. It was the new textbook way to take down a quarterback. He rolled didn't. He roll away if we could see the first one. Maybe we can't. There is. So he just rolls away and he took down cousins it. It wasn't like the most pleasant thing that's ever happened to Kurt cousins, but he didn't body waiting. He went sideways, right? He rolled off in. So the force of the blow from Aaron Donald hit the ground instead of on cousins. Right. What's wrong with how hard is that? He's still got him down and clay Matthews saying, because I don't like the rule. I should be able to break the rule because that wasn't a room before. Okay, just become. I don't like something doesn't mean I can go out and break it just because I don't like it a remembers. Give I came here Monday. I told you what? Anthony, Lynn coaching. Lily charge of had told me how they're teaching tackling. That's exactly what they're teaching. We'll, how can you not? It's simple. You can't do that anymore because they're going to yell. Yellow fly is gonna cost you fifteen yards on guess what is going to keep teams drive alive. Okay. And you end up getting tired, we should have a win. Can we see the Susak because sues a little nuts, right? It's hard to get it through his thick skull that you can't do that, but he goes sideways. I'm like, sued it that Suwit sideways. He gets free and he's got a clear shot. He could Abbadi at a measly. He crushed, right? Yes. But he went around him sideways and pulled him down..
