"Know, living in Boston. Truth be told. I love the Packers. I love everything I saw last night. And yet I'm at an eight on Lee because that team time and time again with the Greatest football player at the quarterback position, said by Meyer Metcalfe has disappointed in big games. I'm an innate, but I feel like they're not going to be in the Super Bowl this year. You know, if they're not in a Super Bowl, it'll be because they lost to a team like the Saints. Potentially maybe a good Seattle team, and there's nothing wrong with that. I mean, those are all teams that I certainly are capable. I look atyou already backtracking Pakistan get No, No, no, no. The Packers. I'm out of 10. But I know the NFC unlike the FC, where you kind of figure Kansas City old sale, Uh, they definitely have. It s so in your mind. It's not a disappointment. If the Packers are not in the Super Bowl with this team in 2020 See, in my mind, it is Mean disappointment, meaning they were like the overwhelming favorite T O make a run? Yes, within your 10, Myron. But anytime you're playing a team like the Saints, and in time you gotta go through Russell Wilson and the Seahawks. There's always the chance that something crazy could happen, but I think they're in the driver's seat. I do think they are team. I picked them to be in the Super Bowl facing Kansas City, or maybe Buffalo will see They're a good team, and that's and Rogers is to me the greatest player at that position, but he's not the goat to different arguments. I think that's fair. I don't want to have that conversation with a guy from Boston because you'll bring up all the Super Bowls and everything, and I don't have an argument for them. I just think Aaron Aaron Rodgers exponentially more talented than Tom Brady. I just don't know, but I don't know. If Aaron Rodgers is the best football player to ever play quarterback. That could be a interesting debate. Neither here nor there. Well, there's a lot of debates in the MBA and one of the big debates were having these Taylor Twellman. I'm Ira Metcalf. This is the This is Mike Greenberg Show on ESPN Radio Sirius, XM Channel Lady and the ESPN APP. One of the big debates is what we should take. From legitimately one of the most lopsided games we have ever seen, especially between a couple of teams we expect to see in the playoffs, the Clippers The Los Angeles Clippers, who didn't have quiet Leonard didn't have one of the Morris Twins were down by 50 points. Taylor To the Dallas Mavericks. 50 points at halftime. They were down by as much as 57 points in the game, and I believe the Mavericks lead was at least 44 about 30 plus minutes. In that matchup after the game, Yet guys like Paul, George, Hey, there's a lot on us. We got to figure it out, even though quite in play because of that cut he received in his mouth in the previous game. But still unacceptable. What do you take away from that when you see a team at this stage in the season down 50 points at halftime of a game. Learn. It was 77 27 at halftime..

"You know, I was watching Sam Donald thrown interception today. Watching the Jets tape. It was third down and six Yes what he threw a seven yard route. Guess what the cornerback play for a seven yard round its route. Pick six. Go back the other way. You know, you just You just know the mindset of the guy that's calling the plays. If you don't know the mindset of the guy that's going Ah, calling the plays done well, and it's tough to try to figure out what Andy Reid's going to do because he's just scarring up. He's just called. He's absolutely doing some wizardry and a ride in my ear just a second ago, said Hey, thinks that the Packers and the Seahawks airplanes are good football. You're not doing what the chiefs are doing, but I think the agreed to playing good football do it. I'm telling you right now the Packers points of package been putting up. I'm saying it's going to be either the Packers For the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a simple bowl, but we're not going to see the Packers this year. There's a three games Packers and points in 1 43. Game two already to game 3 37. Every time I put in a points Yeah, Packers doing that I'm gonna be doing is much of wizardry as we saw from the Chief's last night. Bringing out plays that what? Listen to speak to your point, Aaron Rodgers. Made some of those same throws that ah Patrick Mahomes made last night. It's Matt LaFleur getting comfortable. You know, Colin place without offense, and I think it's Aaron Rodgers. Getting comfortable with both works both floors well. I mean that. I mean, that is a good as it's going to get those two teams right now scarring people up and the M V p front runner. At least in my estimation, and many others. Russell Wilson, he's been on on bended man. Wait a minute. I know Russ has no rushes cooking in the kitchen. And he's thrown 10 touchdowns in the last two weeks. But Patrick Mahomes last night well and Aaron Rodgers this whole season and you know it's crazy, but between Aaron Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes this season Nothing in compare to Russell wasn't there. Both them both find Russell Wilson and every bee voting right now. Well, we need one more game to make up the quarter. One more game to make up a quarter. Here's the thing that I find interesting, and and then. Well, I know, I know a runaway will go to break. The thing I find interesting is that The Kansas City Chiefs after they have completed the play. There were multiple options that were open. It's It's almost like, oh, right before happening, like right now I feel like go where, When you're looking at what Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson are doing, they're hitting the open guy. I'm just saying the chief have multiple choice open. They've got multiple choice. It is the craziest thing I've ever seen about the about the girl back pants to the tackle last night. I'm just saying. There's just a lot of there's a lot. I'm just saying, I mean, hey, hey, listen. You know, I think more ways toe win, then just turn around and hand about your running back. All right? Yes, A rod will go to traffic..

"Joy with the news. Well that's the news and thanks for stopping. I heard lie. Summon up which cowboys will like Mike. and which cowboys will dislike. Mike there are fits fits here that make a lot of sense in that is coming up. Be Sure to catch live editions of the heard. Weekdays at noon eastern not A. M. Pacific. It's great to have you in on a Tuesday all the jobs filled Washington job filled cowboy job filled giants job filled Old Carolina job filled. The only one left is Cleveland. And it's the least attractive job you've got it's a young roster it's loud I. They don't really have a general manager. You Got Baseball Guy. Brian de Esta. That's a smart guy of recording two reports. I don't know him. It is weird that if you're a smart Brian Badescu. Why wouldn't you have a great baseball job but he took the NFL job with the browns? And you have an impulsive owner and and you have a quarterback who's on field off feel judgment and Baker Mayfield has not been deal so they're all getting filled. WHOEVER CLEVELAND HIRES THEY WILL ASSURAS assuras? It's the person they wanted the entire time that part. I know but I was thinking about a Mike McCarthy in the nineties there was a famous gatorade campaign like Mike was also a a good decade nineties for the Dallas Cowboys. So we're going to do like micro dislike Mike Mike McCarthy new coach for the cowboys who will the players like or not like. We'll we'll Dak Prescott like Mike or Dislike Mike McCarthy as cowboys. I think this is an easy one. This is a like Mike. Aaron Aaron Rodgers one to MVP's under Mike McCarthy he work with farve and Aaron Rodgers so by the way both Farben Aaron Rodgers were allow how to ad-lib he was not restrictive He was a coach that would listen to them play to their straits. Let Them ad-lib Dak.. Is Somebody nobody who is mobile and can move and sometimes on the Ron throws pretty well. So he's not a restrictive guy so I think he'll like him yeah. I'm excited to see what they did together. How about Ezekiel Ezekiel Elliott? Like Mike or Dislike. I think this is an easy dislike Mike like that. Yeah Zeke likes carries remembered Ohio state when he complained urban. Meyer forgot about about him. McCarthy hasn't had thousand yard rusher since Eddie Lacy like six years ago that that was his last thousand yard rusher and in two thousand eighteen eighteen. The packers were last in rushing attempts and rushing percentage and that was not with a bad offensive line and that was sometimes with Aaron Rodgers hurt. I think it's fair to say he's a coach that says he likes to run the ball but boy does he move off running if in the first quarter you don't get that little creases and seems to his liking. So I don't think it's great for Zeke. How about Amari Cooper Lake? Mike or Dislike. I think this this guy may like Mike more than any cowboy Albouy. Okay so yeah okay. Five different receivers went to the pro bowl under Mike McCarthy. He is very wide receiver friendly in in fact. He'll he'll go for those little hitches and bubble screens overrun by the way Mar as a free agent. McCarthy's GonNa fight for him. Randall Com best years of Mike McCarthy. So he's GonNa fight for Amari Cooper. He's had randall. COBB and I just thought I always felt like if you talk to Green Bay receivers McCarthy was in their corner he liked using them. Jerry Jones.

"Percent. Professional sports bettors get about fifty seven percent. We're on that number. We work hard at blazing five. I love it. I also like my ability to go and say these two teams that were good won't be these. Two teams that are bad will be good. We're pretty good on that last. Few years were like six percents or four four around air so in the last thirty years fourteenth that didn't make the playoffs will make the playoffs in the n._f._l. So you look at the playoff teams and they all look good cheese. Patriots adrian texans chargers call teagle cr cowboys bears ram saints. You know you'll be outraged. If i told you four those wouldn't make it and four new ones iran and i'm not going to tell you who's not gonna make it will be optimistic today. I'll just tell you who i think is going to make the playoffs number. One the pittsburgh steelers they were nine nine six and one last year with massive turmoil. They were a good football team. Last year. Now they've added devon bush <unk> who looks like about the best draft pick they got the a._b. Drama out the door by the way ben through ten of his sixteen interceptions when targeting antonio brown down meaning he had to feed him constantly or a._b._c. struggled emotionally. They have the best offensive line according to pro football focus us they were good last year. It looks like from what i've seen so far in the pre season. James washington will fill in nicely. It's also an organization dole has done a great job replacing skill people. I think they make the playoffs. Let's go to the n._f._c. the packers last year. We're not a terrible team. When aaron aaron rodgers played. He just missed a lot of games. I think green bay wins the division. First of all erin last year was twenty five touchdowns two picks that was not a full season so extrapolate that out to thirty six touchdowns and five picks erin still elite number a two. They may defence a priority the last two years in the draft in free agency. They've added really good linebackers preston smith as the darius smith <hes> they went to their secondary. They've drafted corners and acquired safeties. The last couple of years i also like about green bay is is i do think they have a new energy and a new young coach. It puts aaron in a better place little more dynamic practices anytime. There's a new boss or a new coach. Everybody's a little bit more in line. The apathy leaves the building. I think green bay makes the play offs. I also think minnesota data will be a playoff team this year again. They were eight seven and one and that's firing your offensive coordinator. Before the year was over. They had coaching chaos chaos. I think minnesota's a really good football team kirk cousins now in his second year. He completed seventy percent of throws. I still believe they have the best wide receiver receiver tight end group in the n._f._l. Between digs between thelander in-between kyle rudolph dalvand cook is a remarkable.

"I will not have any more gene are slander all right so there is is perhaps a little bit of feuding going on not just between Ezekiel Elliott and the cowboys Ezekiel Elliott famously wants a new contract. He has been holding out. He has not been apart of cowboys training camp. They're up in Oxnard right now. He is currently in Kabo as Ezekiel Elliott doing his training but Jerry Jones Jones has weighed in on the absence of Ezekiel Elliott who we should remember was last year's rushing champion. Jerry Jones talked about whether or not he is essential essential for being there. You don't have to have a rushing champion to win. A Super Bowl but Emmett was the first one to do it and that's one of the dilemmas running back is that the League knows that you can win super bowls and not have the Emmett Smith back. There are not have Z. back there consequently quaintly when we are looking and putting Zeke's contract in place. We've gotTA realize that the ultimate goal is to win the the Super Bowl and so you've gotta do all of the things along with having Zeke that allow you to have other players so that you can win the Super Bowl. Oh interesting how he starts out by saying that you don't need a Russian champion to win the Super Bowl but then points out Emmett Smith who was a primary reason why they won the last super bowls that they have but he also said he was the first yeah which means a super bozo one before that wasn't point and obviously every every time the Tom Brady hose up a trophy. He's done it without the rushing that is true that is true. I don't think <hes> Aaron Aaron Rodgers had a running back. Since Brett Farve was the starter right a minute. It's been a minute. It's been a minute <hes>. This is hard to argue when he says that on the heels of the N._F._l.. Coming off the least amount of Russia's in the history of his league but what I would say is this yes it is true. You don't need the rushing leader to win the Super Bowl but you need your best player Yes to win. The Super Bowl and the question is is is Ezekiel Elliott your best player take the position out in instead implant the impact it has on the team if Ezekiel Elliot's your best team your best player I would argue that you don't win without your best player only example I can think of the Philadelphia Eagles. If you believe Carson Wentz the best plan to go on to win with Nick folks <hes> that's good. That's good now. I can tell you this by watching obviously being a cowboy fan. He's not only their best paid their most important player cobwebs or built for third and Short Adak third insurance. They're not.

"Franklin that's going to be your fault. Ed Rogers, apparently losing well, California. We'll just say that you're the father of the great quarterback Aaron Rogers. Your. Oh, you should be one. Very proud father because he is an amazing champion in his own. Right. And I bet you wish you were in Atlanta this weekend playing watching the game. Absolutely sure Sunday years ago went to Dallas played played the Steelers. So yeah, was once in a lifetime thing a lot of great quarterback slowing them make it that far. So it's pretty pretty excited that we're do that. This is the third year in the league. So well, you know, what's amazing? I mean, you say once in a lifetime I was making the point about the patriots. You know, there's something that I I think that Belichick and Brady the chemistry. They have have figured out that other teams haven't figured out. Now Green Bay is a great team, and your son has made it to the upper echelon of in terms of quarterbacks throughout history of the NFL. And I mean, that's necessarily. I mean is one of the most amazing quarterbacks I've seen each Heathrow's bullets. Like, I've never see. What are you? What are your thoughts about it? About the patriots. Yeah. Yeah. It's pretty amazing organization. I know a lot of people don't like them because they win every year. But you gotta totally respect on. He's been a good mentor for my son over the years Brady has in from the top down. It's maybe you think about they get the last picker near last Pickens draft every year, but they see the top five defense. Sometimes the number one defense or offense amazing creative approach. If Ed if you can just stay there through this break, I really want to dig a little deeper into how Brady was a mentor to Aaron Aaron Rodgers fathers with us, by the way, they won the Super Bowl Super Bowl. I forget what number. He was the MVP. I do remember that you know, he's been in a Pro Bowl almost every year. And I think twice the NFL's most valuable player quick break. We'll come back on the other side and go down this road. Heading for the tunnels this afternoon, you're run into delays. We have slowing for the fort McHenry. You're going gonna be sluggish from Russell street up to the two northbound on ninety five and at the harbor tunnel flow after the route to spur up through the toll plaza. The Westside outta rubes. Pretty good with the inner loop is slow at Baltimore national pica past security a little bit of a delay heading.

"I think that's like in the top three because of Sam darnold, and it's a good challenge. And you can be the first coach in a long time to make the jets success. I'd go three exactly because of that end the workers and Browns. All right about the books. I have the bucks sixth there in the middle. I don't think they arouse as that bad. And I'd rather have Winston than than a couple of these other teams situation. Winston and the number five I have like five teams between six and seven. So that's why James Winston versus Marcus mariota battle between west. No one's going to press. How I went out on the whimper, oppressing. I'd rather have a vacancy than James Winston Packers. I think that's number two. I put it. That's where I have them. Maybe one if you I would take number one because of just because of the Browns history, they're going to be filled as twenty I know, it's a short certainly we keep talking about you know, in two thousand. Esteem they fired or they hired seven coaches only one of them still has a job. So I'm worried about the next three years favors the bold Aaron Aaron Rodgers I think going win and some Super Bowl with Aaron Rodgers plenty both for me. I think it's a challenging job too. Because it reminds me it's not that it's the raiders, but it's a little Gruden esque where like when you hit Green Bay with Aaron Rodgers says your quarterback eight Nate is gonna get you flamed. You bet the eleven and five or twelve and four or people are going to come calling is also the quarterback that in this room has been stayed in many times the best ever how many coaches get the opportunity. Well, ask Jimmy Johnson about working with Dan Marino that could not have gone worse. Like, these things don't always go. Well, but there's also something he said for unlocking a mystery like Baker Mayfield, what are the possibilities? Absolutely. It's a great debate. Also, great was our conversation with Mike garafolo of NFL network outside of the eagles facility. We did it on our Twitter show earlier today. And now we will present it to you in full. Take it away us. That's a great segue. Marxist says a lot of hot air coming from NFL network airwaves. Now joining us from the eagles tonight, go well in Philadelphia is the the great Mike garafolo Mon Mike, your thoughts on Mr. Cecil comments. Let's start there. They were checking me in and I was catching up with one of my buddies match or from my FOX day. So frankly, I didn't catch any of it. If you don't wanna know we right now, I'd be happy. You don't wanna know you guys could take it off line. But like thank you for joining us here on the AT and Twitter show your outside, by the way, you know, at this point, Mike, I mean, it's almost two thousand nineteen a little green screen. We could get away with the technology and you'd be feeling good in a corridor. Somewhere. I'd have no problem doing this show from the comforts of my home, which I was doing until late last night when they said we need you update on Nick foles in his ribs tomorrow morning. And I thought when I gotta get I could do it from home. We've got the phone know we wanted to which was great though, because I got an eyewitness account of Nick foles walking into the building here today. And when he was asked how he was doing. He literally tapped his ribs. And he said, I'm good. That's what my I witnessed source told. You're your real journey kind of color from home. Sarah's not his basement give me a break. No. He's not from Don Draper's office you ever notice. How his is has home said is is like Draper, and like later Draper is its main period. Draper..

"How are you buddy? Man. I am doing. Well. What a what a crazy busy time. It has been in the NFL kinds of story lines. Mike McCarthy Kareem hunt where do we start? I know about it. Well, how'd you feel about Mike McCarthy getting canned before the season ended boy? Can I say that the Green Bay Packers under Mike McCarthy and Aaron Aaron Rodgers the dynasty that never was the dynasty that should have been? And you know, what I know there's been a lot of tributes coming out to Mike McCarthy he wanted a lot of football games. But to me for what he was given. I think he underachieved as a coach. Thank you hear an era. He had Aaron Rogers eight a great team, and he should have won more than one Super Bowl should've gone to more than one Super Bowl. I think underachieved. Yeah. You know? I mean, it's kinda hard because you think about twelve years he coached the Packers right two losing seasons. One was last year when he he laws Rogers with that broken collarbone for nine games, right? In those years took them to the playoffs nine of eleven seasons. Four NFC championship games. One Super Bowl title. I mean, so you tell me right now, if that's what you sign up for like, hey, I'm gonna give you coach for the next twelve years. Mike, regardless of what market you're in in in that twelve years you're going to the playoffs nine times, you're going to go to four championship games. And you're gonna win the Super Bowl title you sign up for it. Yep. Every team in the league. Are they not, of course? Of course, they are. So I get it. I think you look at it with Aaron Rodgers and Aaraj is has the same problem to me that a lot of these great supreme quarterbacks have. And that is they cover up so many of the warts on your football team that you tend to think you're a lot better off than you really are that you're a lot deeper on your roster that you roster is constructed better than you think until you know, what that guy gets hurt. And then your whole Ross was exposed you say about Peyton Manning all the time that's an eight eight football team that's twelve and four every year because they have Peyton Manning and you'll people in Indianapolis, it'd be so pissed off at me goes public enemy number one until they lost Peyton Manning. And they went to and four two and fourteen with Curtis painter. I think and I was like boy I drastically overestimated the talent on that team. You know? I mean, I get I get what you're saying. The dynasty that never was. But man to think about going to four NFC championship games in twelve years into think about the success. They had in Green Bay. And maybe it's just time. Maybe it is that Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy no longer get along. And this has been going on for a while, Mike. I mean, I don't know that I've ever told this story. So like when they were in the Super Bowl, I was in my room. I was doing I was gonna do TV and Erin called me. And he's like man we like like McCarthy is such a stress case, you know, he so all he's just like he's a grinder. He's this. He's that like you've been to Super Bowls. How do you? What do you do what do you deal with it? Because it's like it's like we're grinding so hard, and I was like can't be disrespectful, but you've got to have a little fun. Like, you gotta have some fun in practice, and you got to do something to lighten the mood to lighten it up..

"Hembo. Paul hembo on Twitter Aaron Rodgers could throw one thousand two hundred and forty consecutive interceptions without a touchdown. It's still own a better career ratio. Then Nathan Peterman. The supplement that from pro football focus, his passer rating from a clean pocket is thirty six point four. You get thirty nine point six for spiking the ball on every play. Nathan Peterman, the the bills the bills waived him the bills there. There's never been a franchise in the history of sports to get more in competent quarterback play. Then they got through their first eight or nine games and somehow won at Minnesota in the middle of that. Football. I know it wasn't Peterman. Peterman is I it Peterman. I feel like Peterman by himself should get everyone in buffalo fire everyone concessions people who work around the stadium. Just the entire idea that people in buffalo decided to keep starting that. When there are fifty Matt Berkeley's no longer working in the event. Barclays no longer working in the league that you could go get. And they got one, and he was the real thing. Just like, hey, can you competently do some bootlegs out here? We just don't be someone who throws five interceptions. Did we witness something special? Because if someone asked me was a worst quarterback you've ever seen. Nathan Peterman is a pretty good answer. Is this the worst? Yes, I believe that. We can I believe that we can say this for the rest of time. I believe that we witnessed the worst professional quarterback play. The worst quarterback play where someone was paid for what it is that they were doing. A paid professional give that stat again. So people can understand. The opposite end of the spectrum give the stat of the day, again, how many consecutive interceptions would Aaron Aaron Rodgers have to throw one thousand how many one thousand two hundred and forty consecutive interceptions without a touchdown. So imagine him just dropping back and Aaron Rodgers his next one thousand two hundred and forty passes are all interception. He would still be better than Peterman. That's how many seasons passes to full season is he throwing football. At some point McCarthy would bench. Mccarthy's not getting fired are the Packers still winning ten games. Aaron Rodgers is their quarterback. Aaron Rodgers buys you at least fourteen point. He's giving points to the other team. I want to approach this who did Nathan Peterman just knock off for worst quarterback. Any of us have ever seen? Curtis painter. That's good. Bring in after Curtis painter. Didn't they bring some guy in that cold team that didn't win a game or one one game one game? I think they bring in some guy with funny hair. I think it was after Curtis painter. I think there was another one hair. Well, he just had lobbied lowering had flowing locks, but when you can't have flowing locks when you throw like Peterman, but you can look like the Clemson quarterback when you're Clemson, you can look sunshine from remember the titan when you win you can't do that at the small schools when you're bad full season, Ferrara Rogers, ho average, roughly around six hundred attempts. All seasons of interceptions for Aaron Rodgers. Just not stop interesting. He's not getting injured at sixteen games. Have interception. Worst quarterback ever. I am nominating. A miami. Dolphins expansion quarterback from nineteen sixty six to sixty nine. Rick norton. Whose career had seven touchdown passes and thirty interception. I don't think that's as bad as Peterman seven thirty Ryan Lindley when he started a playoff game. That's as bad as I've ever seen. Who was that? Former Virginia Tech quarterback who played at Arizona. Logan thomas. Oh, yeah. Eight. About how about this. You will not find very much weirder in the world of quarterbacking. Then the idea the bucks have been struggling with their quarterback situation for a very long time. But Josh Freeman had one season. You could look it up where people were believing that. Josh Freeman was everything that they hope Jameis Winston would be that. Josh Freeman had one season that might be the best quarterback play. The Tampa Bay has gotten in twenty years and they've got a Super Bowl in their from Brad Johnson. That's easy. Two thousand ten twenty five touchdowns six interceptions. And then he played on a Monday night for the Vikings. And it is the most incompetent quarterback display. I've ever seen now, admittedly. I haven't watched a lot of peterman's games. I've only seen the stat lines which are horrifying. But if you remember this Josh Freeman Monday night game that I'm talking about. That's what incompetent quarterback play looks like. And I just don't know how the Buffalo Bills decide again. And again, the put Peterman out there while watching someone like drew great. And like, wait a minute. Our guy is not quite that accurate. You don't even need to watch breeds just watch Matt Barkley well that too, but I'm just saying now imagine how much frustrate how much more frustrating must be to be a bills fan, knowing wait our personnel. People thought that could do something. They benched tyrod Taylor. Remember the bills made the playoffs last year? And they decided there wasn't an injury time in seventeen years. They make the playoffs with tyrod Taylor. And then they say now we're going with Peterman in a game. But how do you trust that person moving forward? I think you're right. Everyone should be fine. Man, we had a poll earlier this year. Does anyone on the builds trust anyone else on the bills, you realize how right vantera Davis got this? Like you guys crushed him for quitting you want. And looked at Peterman said bleep that my career is over. I make the brave move to bench Taylor. Even though everyone's confused by because Taylor is not playing poorly. This is a team that's in playoff position bench him for Nathan Peterman. I ever start five picks in the first half. I'm pretty sure all five of them were in the first half. That Freeman game is mesmerizing. This is why Leshan McCoy the unhappiest man in the NFL twenty fifty three hundred ninety yards. And an interception. Let's go. Thing going to fuel. Humans worse than that Peterman worse than Josh Freeman is Peter and Mike what are the final numbers here because I'm gonna go ahead and call it a career on Peterman. Are you really I think he's gonna back look out for? This is what I'm telling. I mean, listen to me, this is what's going to happen. Peterman is never going to get a professional paycheck again. But he is going to win a collusion. Sue before Capri, Nick. Twenty three and me, we'll help you find out more about you get yourself a kit. Learn more about yourself. Before we get to that, Mike. Greg Cody brought out a quarterback seven touchdowns thirty interceptions. What's peterman's rate is peterman's interception rate worse than this quarterback from the sixties the Greg Cody as nominee. I think he's three to twelve three touchdowns twelve interceptions as three to twelve comparable. Rick Norton's, actually, a little more than a four to one ratio, by the way, the poster boy for bad quarterbacks Ryan leaf fourteen touchdowns thirty six I don't think you're doing the math right on this. I don't which who's better Peterman or your boy. Rick Norton, peterman's got a four to one ratio right of of interceptions. Two touchdowns in. Rick Norton's is seven to thirty is slightly more than or to one in favor of interception. So norton. Wins. Tell the people about Twenty-three got EMC..

Barclays no along longer working in the league that you could go get. And they got one, and he was the real thing. That's my was was just like, hey, can you competently do some bootlegs out here? We don't just don't be someone who throws five interceptions and a half. Did we witnessed something special? Because if someone asked me was a worst quarterback you've ever seen. Nathan Peterman is a pretty good answer. Is this the worst? Yes, I believe that. We can I believe that we can say this for the rest of time. I believe that we witnessed the worst professional quarterback play. The worst quarterback play where someone was paid for what it is that they were doing. A paid professional give that stat again. So people can understand the opposite end of the spectrum give the stat of the day, again, how many consecutive interceptions would Aaron Aaron Rodgers have to throw one thousand how many one thousand two hundred and forty consecutive interceptions without a touchdown. So imagine him just dropping back and Aaron Rodgers his next one thousand two hundred and forty passes are all interception. He would still be better than Peterman..

"I read that promo defined your bell magically appears it's like a g I dream of Jeannie thing that you come in and income doors show. Oh, you're going with the old school reference old school. Yeah. Has a Halloween theme because she's wearing a costume. Woman's a latch, like, I dream of Jeannie wears a costume is like you guys know something I don't wait a bit. What would you be like real quick before we get into all the week nine week eight notes for the NFL and the injury reports and fantasy football like what was the last? Do you dress up for Halloween? What was the last costume, you did Stephania bell? Now, I I'm not sure this family friendly show. Well, no, I really wanna know do tell no again it was long time ago. Like last year. It was like the cat. You know what I mean? I it's very uninteresting and uninspired, but this year, I'm thinking about it. I in fact, driving in this morning. I was thinking what should I be for Halloween? I'm open to suggestions yet made a commitment Kono. And that's a good one. Charlie Brown the kid with the ghost. I was like it's the laziest one bit heart sock went to a Halloween. My co-host went to a Halloween party yesterday interest through on a white sheet that had two holes in called himself a ghost. I mean, it was the biggest cop out. You could ask everybody knew what he was. I guess that's true. On Twitter to find you can see how I just crushed Halloween last night. Not so much. You know, what you could go on your belt you could go as a Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback actually nephew disappeared. The ghost thing like ghost ghost? That's even better. Yes. Segue. Listen, it's like Jalen Ramsey and like nine guys they found in a bar in London last night that are going to go up against Philly. Right. Yeah. I mean, they really are out without AJ. Who's that? You know, he plays opposite Ramsey, and they really hurt without him. He's been in a walking boot with a calf injury. He's out for this game. I don't even know exactly who they plan to rotate in on all their defense because they are struggling so much with keeping their guys healthy right now, and the Jags defense to be honest. Just hasn't been as dominant all the way around is. They have last year even Jalen Ramsey dealing with an ankle issue off and on has not been himself. If you've watched and some of these matchups and he's been able to get beaten. That's not something we're accustomed to seeing and the Jaguars thin at the offensive line position as well. Yeah. I I mean literally they are struggling to field a squad right now. And what makes it really tough is. When you go overseas when you take the trip to Europe, even though these teams on the east coast have a little easier than for example, the chargers when they're going. They have such distance to cover. It's still a long flight we saw with Melvin Gordon. Of the chargers. There was a hamstring issue that cropped up between you know, from the travel. They thought dehydration when you have long traveled. You got a time change it can factor in. I don't think people think these things are serious. But if you've got guys who are already dealing with you just the health issues that come with being halfway through an NFL season a trip overseas can amplify all your problems and make it tough to feel to healthy joint. We're joined by Stephania bell. ESPN injury experts that fascinates me, Stefan. You the fact that I always made fun of Greg Olsen when I was a teammate of his and Carolina because he had this unbelievably extensive warmup routine where he had to stretch and you had to get on the machine vibrates your legs. And he went through all of these like highly exercises, and I always kind of made fun of him because he's like this thoroughbred, and that example of Melvin gore, Gordon is a great example of he is such a highly tuned. Thoroughbred. Athlete that the nine hour flight from from America to London gets him off his game. I see I always kind of prided myself. I said, listen, I'm a plow horse hook the plow up to me and send me onto the field. I'm going to work. I did a Malwal. Basically your glue factory is I would I would go out onto the field. And I would kind of just like rock my shoulders back and forth. And just kinda creek my neck and say here, we go ahead. Wow. How many injuries have we documented for you? Now that you've retired. I mean, I know I I knew I love Greg Olsen for many reasons, including you know, he reps. The yo he's been he's a guy who has been phenomenally healthy until really just last two years. And I think that routine those routines can be a big factor and keeping guys on the field. What's the routine going to be for gronk just show up and not tell anybody if he's playing or playing now there's a guy who, you know, his routine especially in the off season is vastly different from most. And yet he shows up, and he he's he's a physical specimen me look at not only his size, and but when he's in shape when he's in condition. He's the best. And despite all the injuries that he's had he still considered coming into this season. So considered number one at the position. Some of the luster may be wearing off though again injuries for him bothering him pretty much from the start of the year. And last week. We saw him go rapidly through a downgrade that knocked him out of the game because of a back issue. This is the guy with multiple back surgeries. I didn't even make the trip last week. But turn it turn it around this week very upbeat yesterday. You know, Buffalo's home for him. So believe me he wants to be on the field and play in buffalo on Monday. And all they're saying right now is that he'll make the trip at my. I have every expectation that gronk will play on Monday night. Hey as we're looking at Aaron Rodgers heading to play the Rams nine point underdog. Maybe an eight point depending on which spread you look at largest underdog status Aaron Aaron Rodgers has ever had. But some of that is because as wide receivers have been so thin Randall Cobb potentially coming back Toronto Alison potentially coming back, which what's going on there and Green Bay. It's interesting because their last game that they played he was really without his top receivers. And he was a little bit more banged up himself. Obviously he's had that knee issues since week one. But he had a setback the prior week. So he goes into week six concerned about whether he was gonna have to wear the bulky brace again. But we've seen Rogers be effective despite the injury that game he was without Randall Cobb who had a hamstring injury that caused him to miss multiple weeks. He was out drawn mo- Allison who had a concussion and then a hamstring injury superimposed on it. And you saw Green Bay make the decision even though they were questionable then to hold them out knowing. They were going into a BI week. That's really a smart move for them. So you come out of the by. And you think okay, if they were close to going, then we shouldn't be worried about them. Now, we'll on my soft injury report. Pretty sure he's going to play barring some huge surprise Randall Cobb comes into questionable. And I think this one does surprise us a little bit. I will tell you this Packers have a little bit different routine than everybody else. They have a practice on Saturday. Some teams will do light walk through. They actually do a little more involved practice session on Saturday. Just philosophically. They believe this is a better way to ready there guys we talk by routines and staying healthy. And I think they believe physically and mentally this is better for their team to do that they traveled on Friday to California. I think that they will work they worked Randall Cobb out Saturday, and that was going to be their decision maker. So he came in his questionable. I'd be surprised if he doesn't play still crazy to see a Aaron Rodgers lead team being what a nine and a half point or nine hundred dollars. He doesn't know guarantee. You get angry earn Rodgers today, which I love I just can't wait because I I have. I mean, all you have to do is tell Aaron Rodgers like he's an underdog or he can't do something. Look what he did to my Niners. And I honestly I honestly think the era is so rich he pays a guy like when he wakes up in the morning yells at have been telling Aaron Rodgers, you're not very good at making coffee this morning. He's like I'm gonna make the best. Thank offer you've ever had a life. That's how Aaron Rodgers does. And that's what happens when you're loaded the way he is. So find you Bill. Thank you so much. I vote for I dream of Jeannie. You could be genius. But if I did the little, you know, the folded arms and the head nod and right most people will get it. Because it's you know, it's. Might not understand. It depends on if you're going to a frat party or you're going to a grownup party. I don't know what kind of parties you rolling Savan you. I'm in Bristol. You know, those fantasy football parties are crazy. What happens at a fantasy football parties stays phasing.

"Yeah. I can I can I say something I believe is truthful here if you before the year started. Yes, you sat down and went through every NFL team. Just based on what we thought we knew and said who's got the hardest. I two game schedule in the whole NFL. All right. You tell me who was going to have a harder start. Then at chargers at Steelers. Yeah. The road venue. I know the chargers are not scary play. But they're scary team scary team to play. And they've definitely played more games at stubhub than you have. So. Yeah. No. That is true. But it's a division rival. You know, that's okay. But I will say this. Yeah. That's that's a pretty tough start at the patriots twenty one to nothing right now. People underrate the Houston Texans defense because they've been injured for a while. They only beat them by seven at whole that's a hard start. But they game. And then and then Jacksonville on the road. Champion. Well, I shouldn't say AFC champions. But but they face them in if C championship game. Well, okay, two things all add first of all pages had one I'm not saying that's not hard. Also got one of those at home. And Secondly, the patriots haven't won yet today. I'm giving this game to the chiefs. It's twenty one to nothing. Okay. Given this game. The Steelers are notoriously streaky when they lose they lose ugly. And and this could get out of hand fast. I'm not downing that. But also remember who is at quarterback. Big Ben improvisational football over. Yeah. I mean, he can cut it loose. And all of a sudden get this thing within a score before. Halftime. I'm not saying that's going to be the case to me. Andy Reid right now is the class of NFL. He's right up there with with with Bill Belichick. Sean McVay is nipping at their heels. He really understands offense. And he has a defense that's playing lights out right now in Pittsburgh. I liked the chiefs a lot am I ready to crown them? No. But I love what I'm seeing. In the early era of this Mahomes deal. They do win today. They go to an old play eight of the remaining fourteen games at Arrowhead, and look the Mahomes thing, you know. So we saw him for a second against Denver last year. We saw him for game. You look you look good against for, you know. And nobody's playing their starters. Charger. Defense is gone. And he carved them up. Yes. Now, he's carving up. Pittsburgh, it just feels like it's gonna work. I put it this way. I'm not I'm not making any excuses for the Steelers are the chargers. Those are two good defenses. I mean, look this is a National Football League. All these guys are good. They have a better plan today. Look at Travis Kelsey already factoring. We didn't he was invisible last right? And and they're getting him involved. It's a multiple offense hill you have hunt. You have to tell C and now Mahomes, even as a runner is threat. And so I'm I'm pretty I'm pretty impressed with this team. Again, it's it's game. To pile up a nice handful of wins by week five. And you'll have a lot more belief out of me about sustaining the success Kansas City. Go ahead and clear. Get the vacation time in February and look going to the Super Bowl done deal. Kansas city. Mercedes is breaking it in. All right. Aaron rodgers. Devante Adams touchdown looks like Aaron's only staying in there. But he's finding a way to be affective. And so the Packers a fourteen seven lead on the Minnesota Vikings in Aaron Rodgers is you know, Aaron Rodgers I'm going to say something that inherently sounds ridiculously stupid. But if there's a quarterback you wanna have that has a lower body injury. It's Aaron Rodgers actually understand that. So the fact of the matter is Aaron Aaron Rodgers is one of these guys who never has to have his feet set to deliver the ball on target. His accuracy outside the pocket. He's rolling away from his throwing arm throwing across field. And he's putting it on numbers. This guy is insane. He finds the back shoulder with his eyes closed and under pressure. So if he has a lower body injury still has the arm angles, and he still has the torque generated and the accuracy to be able to deliver the ball. If there's any. Quarterback as a starter? Who can sustain that injury and stuff six success? It's your quarterback in Green Bay, right? Touchdown chargers. Philip rivers to Melvin Gordon. We said it was a must win and they are going to win. It. I gosh. Like, Philip rivers either drops back or hands the ball off. And there's just space everywhere. I mean, this is it's candy from a baby type stop right now for that. This is going really really poorly for the bills. I mean like, and they got them so hung up on play action that they were able to quite literally run one route. And it was Melvin Gordon and it was off of the fake and he was able to run to the flag catch the ball. And then another walk in touchdown for getting him involved as much as you possibly can. If you were the chargers offense, really smart because he has come into his own as a running back in this. All right. Like, I told you here come the Steelers touchdown. Jesse james? Yeah. No, they they got something going. This is what I'm saying. You cannot count out Big Ben when he starts. Know. I mean. Good time. I guess you could count on anyone count me out for our packing it in. This is what I'm talking about. Big Ben could could could carve this up in the first half and make this a game. Am I calling it? No. I mean, they're off to a lousy starting about to get the ball back, and they lead twenty one. And after this extra point twenty one seven, but I I look this is this is classic Steelers. Streaky we fell asleep in the first quarter. Oh my goodness. It's a football game. Let's get going here. Okay. Let me give you some of the charger numbers here. Just to give you this is not to give you stats. This is to give you an idea of how easy the bills defense is making it right now. Remember the ravens scored almost fifty. The ravens are not a great offense. And they scored almost fifty points. I'm not ready to say that. But I should only. A high powered all what I'm ready to say about the ravens is they're going to be better this year offensively last year. What what I'm getting pretty close to saying about the bills is is get ready for a long season. I mean, Philip rivers is seven of seven for ninety six yards and two touchdowns. And as a team rushing the ball, they are averaging eight point seven yards per carry. They've had ten carries for eighty seven yards and a touchdown. And if your fancy player Mike Williams has one touchdown catch. Melvin Gordon has the other two touchdowns one through the air one on the ground. I'll say this about what I'm seeing in that game. So far is there isn't a lot of fight on the side of buffalo, and you can have a game. Like you're seeing in Kansas City where it's a three score game. And it looks very different from what's happening in a three score game in buffalo right now. The Steelers are fighting the Buffalo Bills if feels to me just. Watching and it's a small screen where we got a twenty seven incher in the corner of the room right there. But it feels to me like they're not fighting out there. That's a big problem for Sean McDermott head coach all right here. Come the saints moving the ball up to midfield that game has been a little slow starting probably for Sean Payton's liking, he likes to score a lot. It's three three saints and Browns. And speaking of those Browns coming up next, it's get further into the Josh Gordon's situation..

"One yard touchdown play the. Packers with an extra point of getting this game. Tied that was the big. Tying drive in the game it's a preseason football, game as we do, morning, after every Packers. Football game it's Monday, morning, quarterback Greg Mathis off? Today joining me, in. Studio Jeff Falconio how are you I'm doing well good so preseason games are always kind of one of those ventures where you can kind of walk in and out of the room, if you're watching at home and. Sample as you might but for preseason football was entertaining I thought in the first half Packers had a, lead going into the. Into, half-time the rest of it maybe not so much yeah I think it was your typical preseason game had some nice offense in the first half we knew we were going, to see the, Tim Boyle for a pretty long time and you know obviously both backup quarterbacks and then you get into. The second half and more specifically into the fourth quarter and if you were paying attention to the players that were out in the field. And a, lot of those guys weren't even bobble guys I. Mean these are going to be the, practice squad guys the, guys are going to be caught but Mike McCarthy always likes, to try and, play as many guys as possible try and get as many guys to get something on film not just. For the Packers but for the other thirty one teams that are going to be filling their rosters in practice watch this weekend so you. Know typical, fourth preseason game I think as we know by. Now with the preseason it's not really, about When. Loss, records it's not. About I think overall team performance about individual form Ince's and we saw some good ones last night and, we saw some good ones throughout. The preseason and we can't we can't do the show this. Morning about talking, about, the big contract news. Aaron Aaron Rodgers now signed big big deal historic deal for the Packers Abby NFL your. Takeaway from that not a surprise no not at all I think we knew a deal was going to. Be done and the. Benchmark. Was set with Matt Ryan getting thirty million dollars a year I think, we knew, that it was going to eclipse that so he thought, okay thirty two million somewhere there ended up, being a little bit more. Than that huge amount of guaranteed money, upfront you're gonna get eighty million dollars by Saint Patrick's Day so. He can buy the first round of drinks I'm concerned Aaron Rodgers absolutely. So a lot of guarantees frontloaded and and really I think, it was you know we, kinda had an idea of, years per year salary but it's gonna come down to the incentives, the guaranteed money. As well and, it's, amazing that fourteen, months ago, Andrew luck sign what was at the time, the most lucrative contract Quarterbacks he's now the eighth highest paid quarterback in the NFL so it's a great time to be a quarterback and you know. You kind, of wonder now who's the next. Big payday probably, Carson Wentz, who hasn't quite put the body work together that guy like Rogers Orion has so, I think you feel like Rogers at least four, wild is going. To continue to be the highest paid man in the NFL Jeff koneohe join, me, on Monday morning quarterback a, Friday edition, so let's talk about the game. Packers lost the game but. They leading at. Halftime, which I think. Is a little bit better representation representation of the talent so if we have to pick a player they, gain this is always challenging last. Week I picked up punter I want with Aaron Jones he. Didn't have a, huge, presence in the game. But he's he's it's more of a this is going to be the guy that's going. To carry the football for the Green Bay Packers yeah a couple of things with Jones they definitely wanted. To get him some. Work. Here because he's going to be suspended for the first two games of, the season, so give him an opportunity to just get some real, work in I think it's going to be, interesting because not a lot. Of people are talking about the run, game and what it's gonna look like Aaron. Rodgers I think was At his best in two thousand fourteen when he had a reliable running game also had a healthy offensive line for this offense. To work you're gonna need those two elements in place, again we know what Rogers, is capable of even with a shaky offensive line or an unreliable running. Game but but this offense to really click, you gotta, be able to show. You can run the football it's not saying that you can't. Do it because he ended the season on a, on a, really, high note against Detroit but Jones Williams are different types of runners I think time on Gumri it's unknown what his role. Is, going to be I think he's. Going to be a change of change of pace third down kind of a back but Aaron Jones is the guy who's got. Some explosiveness to him and I think that's something that would is. Going to be on display throughout the regular season but salsa commissioning first two weeks of the season I mean those are divisional games we. Expect them, to be physical How. Effective are the Packers going to be running the football without Jones we'll see but it's good, to see him get, some working last night and. Hey hey, is bears week now. So we're getting ready for that Absolutely against the Chicago Bears what what you know about Chicago they you know they got the new offensive game plan, Trubisky second, year now as their starting quarterback what. Does that feel like and she you know I, think the biggest thing was getting some wide. Receivers around Trubisky and when. We saw Chicago last year in both games I mean they just had nothing a wide receiver. And so bringing in a couple of free agents they. Used to high draft pick on Anthony Miller brought in Alan Robinson I think that's definitely going to help any, Trubisky was a guy that that was definitely better the second time, that we saw him actually the second the second time they played the? First time, the Packer saw and he got better as the season rolled on, but, you, never know with your. To the progress is not linear You want to see somebody get better, year after year after year but it doesn't always work that way So. I think it'll still be a little. Bit, bumpy what's interesting. About this matchup and it's the same thing the Packers went, through twenty Fifth Avenue coach the album quarterback. You've only seen once you always have. That familiarity with Chicago but it's a little bit different this year it's not the same type of parody and I think also the. Fact that we didn't see, a whole lot from the defense this year and the preseason Green Bay's defense. And there's no question Mike Penn indefinitely held back from. What we're. Going to. See in the regular season so I think he's gonna be a lot of unskilled. It looks I think I think the gamesmanship is going to be very, interesting between Chicago and Green Bay I do think the bears will be a. Little bit better this year but I think there, are at least a year way from. Really being competitive that's Falconio Capelle koneohe he's joining and. Monday morning quarterbacks do Friday edition after the break we're gonna talk about the drive of. The game preseason there's a couple of great touchdown drives. For the Green Bay Packers in the first half that's where we're, gonna go next right here in WTMJ Story all morning.

"I don't know this for sure, but you might only have one more day to get hot takes gear. Oh, so at the end of August, it's done. I it's possible I'm making that up. Oh, or tomorrow might be your last day. I guess we'll find out September first. Let's see. I got a suggested poll question with regards to King James, Aaron Rodgers, etc. Isn't Tom Brady more valuable to the NFL than Aaron Rodgers is considering you made the point the James get you to championship games doesn't Brady do that eight Super Bowl games. Are you tuning in to see, Tom Brady is the point I'm trying to make Aaron Aaron Rodgers. There's a tune in factor for him. I think more than there is for Tom Brady. They're certainly tune in factor for LeBron James that he's playing for championships, but the value he has for the league, his value to the league is bigger than any of these other players. So I would say LeBron Aaron, Ron, there's more of a tune in factor for Aaron Rodgers than Tom Brady. I believe I believe that. But then you also have this bias against the patriots. It feels like the Packers more universally loved. All right. We were talking about the Browns schedule here. Do you want to run down the schedule? Are we going to pick out who's winning? How many, how many wins the Browns are going to have when Hugh Jackson's going to get fired? What are we doing? Yeah, feels really mean spirited, but yeah, you had said he could go at one in seven. If you're one and seven, you're not coaching. Yeah, anymore. Yeah. So they opened with the Steelers Steelers at Pittsburgh. No home. Okay. And make love and is calling the upset. Yes, you got the Browns winning is Baker Mayfield junior the third, the quarterback or time. I'm assuming it's Dorada tyrod Toronto. I, you know, the Browns. Almost one this game lasted seed Levy on Bell's, not ready to go yet game that the sealers play every year. And so I'm kind of being the Browns a shot and Todd Haley just left there last year knows at team. Well, okay. Who else to have next there at saints that's not good. Then their home against the jets, Sam darnold be Baker Mayfield. Then they are at raiders. Who knows what the raiders home against the ravens home against the chargers at buccaneers at Steelers, home against the chiefs and home against the falcons. Squeeze out three wins there. Then you have the by week three week three wins. If you missed the Nick Sabin interview for the first hour, we'll bring that back coming up.
