"Have you been there? Have you been back to Tommy guns for a little clean up or going to go right before Christmas? Oh, interesting. Right before Christmas. Yeah. Nice. I love it, man. Great shop really professional man you get the little massage, they look after you. They trimmed up the beard. I loved it. I highly recommend it. Me time. And he time, everybody's got a little bit of that, right. And it coincides with the fact you're getting tuned up because of the world junior championship to some degree, right? Because you don't really have a Christmas holiday. You have to manufacture the Christmas holiday when you cover the world juniors. But Tommy guns is also the official barbershop for the 2022 world junior hockey championship. All right, where do we want to go? Let's see. Why don't we start with Instagram? Galvin is asking ray, do we think that Alex is going to catch the automated yog or this year in goals? 7 45 for Ovechkin, jager, 766. He's got time. Yeah? Good time. He only needs 20 goals. He's got lots of games. I mean, he would be a disappointment, and I would think a significant disappointment if he didn't get there. Yeah, I say yes, for sure. Okay. Josh Joseph, wondering, do you have a more the most memorable experience at either the world hockey championship or the world junior? Yeah, you know, Drake's my best memory from the world hockey. World hockey championship. I think he's probably talking as a broadcaster. But mine is of a player. And we're in 1996. We're in a shootout in the semifinals against Russia. Their first guy scores our first four miss. Their next four myths, I'm the last guy. I've got a score to send it into extras. And I did and then Paul Korea and Yannick pearl scored and we went to the finals. We lost to the checks, but that's my favorite as a player as a broadcaster would be your Mario's last appearance for the check national team in Prague. They went wild. Like when they have this cheer, basically it says, if you're not jumping, you're not checked. Yeah, yeah. And they all start jumping and the building was shaking. It was so cool. And yeah, you could just see the admiration and love they had for him. The world junior would be Canada winning in just a wild game in Toronto, the gold medal against Russia. Was amazing. It was so great to be there. All right, Danny, Lambert. From Twitter..

But I guess it really was a big gabbert fans, because I don't think we had a guy like gabrich and he was just so skilled and he was definitely a good ranger when I was growing up. Did you any other sports plan when you were growing up? I played everything. I was going to be a baseball guy, right? I played baseball with lacrosse. I played tennis golf, play a little bit soccer. I tried them all when I was growing up and tennis, I still play a little bit of Tennessee golf in the summer. But lacrosse was one that I kind of was always hockey in the process.

So we've got a lot to talk about with Trevor. So I had a conversation with our colleague Gordon Miller the other day. How long did that take? Well, I did a lot of listening, you know, the conversations with gourd traditionally go, right? So with him, right? Yeah. And so he links Winnipeg in two ways. He tweeted at length about his experience with you and Sidney Crosby, was that a couple of years ago or several years ago? Several years ago. And it was absurd. It was way too bloody cold out there to be a number one. There's some clarification that's required here, or confirmation is a better way to put it. It was you guard and Crosby. Correct? Correct. Okay, good. You know, I mean, sometimes gorgeous. I was thinking maybe it was like I walked down to the I walked down to the lobby and they were standing there and gourd said, yeah, we're going to get Sid wants to walk to the rink. And I'm like, oh, okay. I mean, like, you know, that's not going to go very well. I mean, he's not going to get three feet and he's going to get mocked. And he goes, no he wants to walk outside. Well, for people that haven't been in Winnipeg, they have these headways that are they Drake's 15, 18 feet above the ground, something like that? Yeah, something like that. And so you can walk from the hotel over to the arena. I never go outside. So I didn't have my overcoat. I just had like my suit coat. And no gloves, no tuke. And so I'm like, yeah, we're going to walk inside. We're going to get over there. And he goes, yeah, I said, wants to go outside. Now, if it would have been another player, I would have told him to beat it. But it was so I was like, oh, this will be interesting. Well, I don't know, said that well. And.

"So. So i'm saying i'm saying no too much drama. Wait i'm not selecting. No wait for aaron rodgers. I don't think that's happening. I think i think the the broncos are going into the season with drew lock and teddy bridgewater and that's the quarterback decision. That's the decision. We have the contest and away. We go love it or hate it. That's it Do brady was the difference between ciocca versus the other team was better Which choke which choke job was worse. You say between the nuggets the ads. The ads are still in it. Is that what you're asking. He said chris vegas was better so the absent choke vegas was just the better team are. What's the difference between that. So you're saying it's not a choke. If if vegas was the better team yeah I didn't feel that they were the better team game one. I didn't feel that they were the better team. When when the avs had to beat them to get the presidents trophy. I didn't feel they were the better team. The avs looked like the best team out there. They weren't the aggressor in the last four games but they thought on paper they look like i think it's a choke choke job if they were to evenly matched teams. Is it a choke job. That's actually a good point because you're seeing it all over twitter now. i mean. They were the favorites to win the cup though. The avs were suddenly the favorites to win. So it's still choked up because the series wasn't bad you could see them not playing to their full potential. Yeah that's choking. That's when you just swept saint louis. Yeah you swept up. You won like eight in a row to get in to get to that top spot knock. You had the number one seed. You were the best team. It's gotta be a choke job if the number one seed loses in the second round. Yes i mean regardless of. Who's against ashley in that epic fashion. Terry you got killed. I mean it wasn't even a hell of a game. it wasn't a. They went down swinging. It was it wasn't that mean they they they did. They looked like they were going down swinging in that first. There's like going down swinging. They had that mentality of. Hey if we're gonna lose we're gonna go down swinging then the third period hit and it's like or summer yousef nurtures dude. I'm watching on twitter. I was on twitter this morning and there was like two avs fans the front row in a nights. Fan runs down. Its in vegas. of course. Rundown steals their banner. Runs up. search. Doing that stuff. "Different team. I think face you know compared to the to colorado. I think the interesting dynamic though as we go along here is filipino. And as a as a shutdown guy is a selke candidate center how is he gonna factor in with this in terms of you know compared to like minnesota and ericsson ac and are the night's gonna have problems if he's able to contain stevenson in stone patch already in that line. Yes that's the interesting part of this series of think. Montreal sets up quite a bit like minnesota. Now will they play exactly like the wild who's to say. Because as we both commissioned we haven't seen them play we for sure haven't seen them play in person obviously and we definitely haven't seen them play the knights this year so this kind of third round has this added air of mystery about it because these are fresh matchups for everyone. The canadians do have a first line. That's kind of more like checking line. Just like the wild head. Were as dave mentioned. The philip no center is a very good defensive forward Right wing burning. Gallagher on that line is a really key piece for that team and so the canadians kind of try to match those guys up against opposing top blinds have them shut the opponent down. And then they'll use suzuki. Who is a of course. Former nights draft pick thirteenth overall in twenty seventeen the knights inaugural draft who they traded to the canadians and exchange for max pacioretty along with tomas tar a second round pick and he's become a very effective second line center for montreal and left wing tyler toffoli. Who's on this line was seventh seven goals in the regular season in the nhl. Twenty eight and then of course. There's a coffee. Dave mentioned who won the hobey baker award for best collegiate player this season at a university. Which i will not name. And then the canes just have solid depth. After that. I mean david josh anderson kind of a third line power for type. He's a goal scorer. Got re really solid vets. Like eric staal and corey perry on their fourth. Linemates fans probably remember corey. Perry the depth guy on the dallas stars team that eliminated them last year and then kind of the same story on the blue line words..

"Plus you know in terms of the roster that that was effective in have this going on in terms of you know ryan reaves. Going in ginkel are coming in and coming out. You know. Patrick brown. Nick holden nick. Hey like eat. The board punched all the right buttons in the series used. Everybody that he could and you know. That's a big long laundry list of reasons but you know it took all that to the beat a team that was the presidents trophy and our winner and everybody thought was apparently better than tampa bay. While i personally didn't but you know as as pizza or pointed out the analytics showed that this was a pretty historically good colorado team that they won four straight against. Yeah i think what you hit on there which is very true of like this was basically. you know. it's kind of a cliche but this is a team win. For the golden knights were a lot of things went well for a lot of guys and obviously you know when that happens. It kind of sounds easy and simple. But that's how you're going to have success of most guys on your team are going. That's obviously very good. Sign for you. And the avalanche didn't have everyone going at the same time and they struggled to get as you mentioned more than one line going at the same time and so you know that was really tough on them and the nice did a very good job defending their top guys. I mean we have to commend as you pointed out especially when the knights had last change at home they put the patch already stone and stevenson line out against mckinnon's line at five on five basically all the time and between games two through five mckinnon did not have a single point at five on five. His only assistant that time wasn't game to in that came on the power play in overtime. And then as you mentioned you know one thing that was also key to that is when you do that. They put their top line on. The avalanche has top line. You run the risk of you know those two lines. Kind of cancelling each other out and you have to win in other ways down lineup. While the misfit line the second line definitely did that. Because as you pointed out william. Carlson had an incredible series with seven points. Jonathan marchessault also had seven points including a hat trick in game four and reilly smith had forced so wall know kind of the knights. Top line was picking up a lot of the defensive effort in this series. The misfit line stepped right in and picked up the scoring slack which was absolutely huge. And then as you mentioned tonight than i got countries everybody close the series out in terms of five of their defenseman. Got at least two point. Twelve their skaters gotta lisa point. And that's not including guys like stevenson's stone and mark stone The knight's got a two fourth line goals from keith. Cole are william carey. And you know just to go through some of the guys the Did use this series of patch. Brown had a goal. Dylan's sicario played for a little bit because petits mark was hurt for air during game one and didn't come back until game. Six nick hagen. Colton traded spots on the blue line. I mean it's really did kind of roll through basically almost all the tools at their disposal and basically any guy put it in seem to end up fairing pretty well. Yeah which is what you need in the playoffs. It's interesting i was talking to somebody about this. And it's just.

Jonathan marchessault Patrick brown william carey Cole reilly smith keith seven points two lines william mark stone Carlson Dylan second line colorado Nick holden nick Colton mckinnon Brown tonight stevenson

Joining me on the other line is my colleague david. Jane who as as as i did as well Just got out of t mobile arena after watching game six between the golden knights and cholera colorado avalanche. Dave as you can already tell them a little bit. Loopy enough forming sentences very well but how are you out the same but probably Thankful that. I don't have to jump on a plane tomorrow. Anna at out to denver. Sure the nights fill the same way so you know couple days rest here. And then we get going with the the classic the all time. Match between the two best teams in the in the history of the nhl or two points percentage so looking forward to it. Hey very go. That's quite a tease. Vs the golden knights. Do not have to travel anywhere. Which means we all have to travel anywhere which means my lovely girlfriend and dog will actually get to be reintroduced to me for the first time a couple of weeks because the golden knights have closed out their second round series against the colorado avalanche in six games. The nights are now in the nhl semi finals for the third time in four seasons where they take on the montreal canadians. We will talk to you guys all about how the night managed to get this far in the postseason and defeat and opponent that they entered the series as an underdog. But i i want to remind everyone that. Be golden age. Podcasts is presented by the las vegas review journal and blue wire also check out all are written. Work at review journal dot com. That would be great. We have so much coverage coming off of game six night days game story. Our colleague greenie wrote a lovely column. I put up. A preview of the canadian series and our colleague mark anderson took the avalanche side because obviously this loss is going to lead to some soul searching for the colorado avalanche moving forward after they won the presidents trophy for the best regular season record in the nhl this year but the knights defeated them. They finished off the series with a six three win at t mobile arena on thursday night. Which is when we're recording right now. To give them four straight wins over. The avalanche would not loss four straight all season. Dave believe the last time we got together to record the knights had just gotten kind of humiliated in game one of this series with the seven one loss in denver and then they lost in overtime in game. Two to go down to nothing in a playoff series for the first time in franchise history. Now we're sitting here and they have won the series without even having to go back to colorado for a game seven. How did the knights managed to pull this one off. Well i would say they have to thank the governor apparently as pizza or did for making sure that they had eighteen thousand folks in t mobile arena for games three four.

"It's added pressure and we don't really know one of the nice things about grabbing a huge lead in a game like the one they had against saint. Louis here is. You don't really have to like okay. They scored two goals. Now has five to three but the likelihood of them scoring four or five goals in a row to beat you is is low no matter how well they're playing and the comeback against colorado was fun but you know again you catch him on the second of two games. They're sorta resting on their laurels. Maybe they're not expecting a counterpunch like that back backup goalie. You're exactly right and and the thing you know we just you talked about it when it came to. What did they learn. The first two games that end stating the obvious. It's okay we can't blow to go leave. You take into consideration game one game. Two against the wild. They blew a two goal lead in the third and then they gave up two more goals. So you can't take their foot off the gas pedal and that happens so much in the nhl when you've got a young inexperienced team because he goes. Oh you got the two goal lead. And then the other tim goes to work. And you've kind of let them back in the momentum switches and all sudden the team s offense that you're going up against so Hey it's a matter of the players understanding that that's unacceptable in for the veterans in the locker room to make sure that everyone knows that. And i think you'll see if you know the kings were able to make that adjustment after having a five one lead making it five three. Maybe it gets a little interesting in some of the vets in the locker room tonight. A maybe weren't necessarily happy with that but overall happy with the game that they were able to play in the first forty. Yeah and you know. I went on that long rant. Not rant long story early in the season about my friend who had all the bad things happen to them and we would tease him because bad things happen to him and he would argue. No good things happen to me. And that's sort of how. I feel about the coaching staff at this moment in time. And i'm i'm leaning towards classes half full on the matter but but this is sort of where i'm at for the first three games. Maybe a now. It's been six that they've allowed the first goal right so there have been a lot of goals within the first minutes of period a lot of goals within the last minute of periods there was a the other day i forget which game where the kings scored and then the other team came back and scored right away. And and i understand that it's on the players to be ready and it's on the players to be engaged in and cetera et cetera. But that is in fact. "You've you've figured out what adrian kempe is. Identity is stop tinkering with it but once again proving that i have no business being in. Nhl coach and the article does adrian campaign seems to have unlocked himself and andrzej there and alex i follow because honestly through the first three or four games of the things i would have said was gosh. I haven't really noticed. I follow that much. He didn't seem to be playing the same game that he had established himself in his first two seasons hounding the puck going into the coroner's creating turnovers sort of creating havoc and chaos. Doing all those little things and over the last let's say eighty to ninety minutes of play If feels like we've got alex. I follow back So it's that's the whole. Yeah i mean that's the whole he takes awhile and listen by no means. Is alexander follow a rookie. But by no means the vet and it's going to take some time because his whole nhl career he's played with brown and copen tar essentially so it's understandable that he might need a little bit more time to get chemistry with with the other wringer in drian campaign in so far it slowly into his game. All the sudden gets on the board and his school didn't come. You know technically a five on five co petar Alexai of follow adrian. Bay wine score But hey all it takes is one to go in to get a lot to get some confidence in you. And it'll be interesting to see when they head to minnesota. If you alexai follow can start becoming a little bit. More of a factor around the puck like adrian campaign has when he got moved up to that line as well in a one thing that i feel like i did get right. The listed a bunch of things. That i got it wrong so far but one thing i feel like i feel like i got right when they acquired only mada i said to myself and out loud somewhere i said. Okay that means. They must feel confident that the tobias bureau and foot is ready to go because i looked at all only modest career. Hadn't paid a ton of you know confess. I didn't watch eighty two penguins games every season. And i certainly didn't watch every chicago blackhawks game last year but i looked at how many minutes played and i looked at his career and i talked to some people that had watched him. And i said okay well. It doesn't seem to me that only modest the first pair defense that that is not a critical statement right. Like i love sean walker. I love matt roy. Neither of those guys. No it's not and to be honest. Slowly matas never been first pair. Defenseman defense exhaust wasn't in chicago was in pittsburgh at all. They have guys named chris. Let's hang and justin shoulders. There and list goes on and on but hey only matas always been that you know solidifying second pair third pair where you're going to put up consistent minutes. You're gonna hope that he's one of those guys who's not necessarily quote unquote noticeable. Because then he's doing his job unfortunately the first few games it just seemed a little bit out of sync with..

"Mclaughlin addressed the media talking about how he's gotten to be a little bit more trustworthy in taking faceoffs in and you know important times on the ice when they need to be defensively. Sound ray trustful already. And that's a huge step forward. You know we talk about how he is taking that step forward but we also have to keep in consideration that this is the first offseason. He's truly haddon potentially adult life where he's been able to actually work on getting better and not re habbing so the off season in the long pandemic for gabriel. Vulgarity was huge for him. Because he's been able to grow he's been able to to work on his game and not just focus on being healthy now. Have you had told me six games into the season with two against minnesota to against colorado to against saint louis. They'd be to two and two. I'd probably have been pretty happy with that if you told me that gave lardy adrian In athens you were were tied for the lead league. Eric team leagues. He's team lead. Excuse me in goals at three. After six games in that lozad doughty and brown had two apiece anderson. I follow carter co petar grunts from each had one piece. Maybe i'd want more from kobe. Tar but that nine assists helps take this thing off. That the only guy that i would say. Oh gosh i sorta wish i would have had at least one goal after six. Games is austin wagner. And he's been out lineup for three of them so hard to complain too much there. But i do wanna talk about that first. Line that was campaign velocity and wagner and one of the conversations that i was having with a lot of people Camera if i ever said it out loud on the podcast was that i didn't like the fact that line seemed to give away possession as soon as they got it right whether it was wagner or cambay they were both too fast for variety or at least the way the lines are played out one of them would gain the zone taken..

"He even said it himself in the postgame availability tonight after the blues games that he doesn't even think that he's playing at one hundred percent he's got more to give and i agree with him him out there and it almost feels like he's getting those points off of sheer hockey. I q rattling just off of knowing what to do. He hasn't really pulled out the full game yet. He's not beating guys in tough puck battles although that goal tonight he scored offers campaign. Shot came right in front of the goal mouth. He's not pulling off these incredible dipsy doodles beating defenders or making the past brown on the now see now even as i say it. I'm pointing out. All the i mean he totally created that dustin brown go on the five on three the other night and i think he was the one who hit doughty for the one time around the other five on three But the point is like none of them are highlight reel plays. They're all very excellent. Very good plays and the fact that he's got ten points in six games ended the kings or two two and two but really could be foreign to it just fills me with optimism and excitement to see the rest of his season. No you're exactly right. And i think you know taking it for granted is something that were used to seeing. But you're exactly right because you know. He hasn't first and foremost he's not a quote unquote flashy player. He's very you know simplistic when it comes to doing the dirty work and making the right play. Because he made the right play the puck ends in the ends up in the back of the net. Whether it's off his sticker somebody passed it to you. Know how many times have we said you know blah blah blah goal from brown assisted by co petar system by kobe. Tar this or that know. That's where his game lies and he's not someone who's gonna throw up fifty sixty goals in a season but because has hockey. Iq he's able to produce a point per game or just over that average as of right now and that's something that if he can stay on that track on the back nine of his career and allow you know some of the younger guns to to work their way into this lineup and get comfortable playing at the nhl. All of a sudden you know by the end of the year or next year. You're gonna have a pretty lethal lineup down. If copa can consistently produce at this level. I made a comment the other day. About splitting up the carter lozad athens you line and it was just a it was just. The thought is comment. Because i was sort of looking over the numbers and and it and i noticed that they were. They sort getting outplayed when it comes to possession stats game in game out. And they hadn't scored a few games and the two goals that jeff carter and scored on four on four and my mind didn't really count. One of them was a deflection off of off of lozad stick from drew doughty and The carter goal late in the reading. Minnesota came off the face off from kobe. Tar and Brown so it's like all right so that line itself isn't exactly generating a ton of offensive. My head and i thought well. They're getting caved in on possession. And you know the team is losing these close games so maybe you try and tweak all the little things that aren't working and you hope to to get a better result and of course it turns out i shouldn't be in..

"Yeah and it's something that i hadn't really focused on and i'm not sure why. But with clegg an anderson in the lineup and with the lardy and lozada and leash anderson and carl grunts room Too many anderson. There's unsure. I realize blake. Lozad played a full season last year. But that is a tremendous amount of players that could be considered either rookies or very close to it right like lozad and grunstein mafia. But that's i mean to have two of your top four demon and your number two center arguably your number three senator depending on i wanna flop vardanian Szott all essentially be rookies as a pretty tall order. And i think they've really at least impressed me in especially in the last two or three days. Yeah i mean it's a huge ask when you're talking about Played ten nhl games. You've got klag guru. I believed played four games. Prior to the season mike anderson had played sixers so then lease emerson. Who hasn't had a whole lot of experience At least lately because he hasn't been in the nhl for a little bit But yeah there's absolutely a lot of you know big asks when it comes to competing against the saint louis blues on the stanley cup two years ago so it was an impressive game. you know. It was unfortunate that they let saint louis back in the third period. But hey when you've got a five one lean you have that ability in that leeway to to give up a few goals and still be comfortable with a two goal victory or a three-goal victory with empty net. Yeah and i guess. I should correct myself. I i didn't realize leash. Anderson had played in so many games In new york. I guess he had played about sixty six games so not a rookie. Either but but again it's just an awful lot of just an awful lot of young players being asked to play big minutes. And i think we have to talk about the roster changes they. They took place during the dying moment. We're not even during the dynamo halfway through the second period of earlier of the first game against colorado Is when we started seeing things. Being jumbled up and then we started to see some other things changed in the in the second colorado game. If i'm not mistaken. I may have my time line on. That wrong is when the d. Pair started to change 'em but look drew. Doughty and mike anderson is not a pair that i ever would have expected to like but i really like. I think. Kale clegg has looked much better than the his detractors described. I thought he's looked Way more responsible defensively than than we were led to believe. And you know curtis mcdermott in sean walker. Each of them are what they are. And i for the most part really like these pairs..

"So. In game free. He saw the avs come out last week. They were just they were out to hurt people. I mean you saw gave Landis had what twenty? Seven hits on his own. This team was pushing Dallas around. We have the break or whatever. We're calling that now the boycott today or or whatever. And Dallas apparently takes that opportunity to get back into play to get to gather themselves they burst out of the gates in that first period to go up three nothing. But the avs fought back man I mean they tied this thing back up which is which is very respectable. But. It, just you get to this point where You'll allow too much right off the bat. We're Dallas sets the tone of the game and sometimes it's hard to make that comeback. So you have the grew Bauer goes down. Take. So, we're talking about friends Sousse and So people were like, Oh, no plug and play either way they're going to be they're going to be just fine. You know you'll be good here. He put him in net since our goes out and after game one. But he was actually pulled after the Fifth Dallas goal. He had twenty one saves in that game you bring in. Michael Hutchinson made his first playoff game presence his playoff debut. He stopped three shots. They had ten shots on on goal before. Before they put this thing before they got their other score later. So goalie questions, goalie concerns anytime you have your your starter gets hurt and I know if you have two great two goalies to exceptional goals. Yeah. On paper it seems like it's going to be an easy fix but certainly not the case. And we'll see if the APPS can get back at it. Today you guys. Guys think they can do this tonight it is do or die. For the Colorado Avalanche and it is a, it is a back to back situation. So we'll see man I'm excited to see what this group can do if they have that fight left in them and the second round. How about the role reversal here? If. The expectations changed so much if the avs lose tonight, they're out. Then you have the nuggets getting in win game seven. All the momentum. Between the two Pepsi Center teams goes over to the nuggets suddenly because it's like well, they're both both eventually in the second round Azer in the second round the nuggets if they can win game seven again, that's a big if it's to be a huge game. But it certainly feels like the momentum would be pushing toward the nuggets in survival mode even though they were the better see better seed picked to win this series. And, yet they could carry all that momentum in. And the future looks bright again for the nuggets. This is also why I've had that issue with Mike, Malone though with the game seeding process I don't feel like it was taken seriously. and. That's why you see. You've seen this team struggle they are clicking now the last two games that looks a lot more like nuggets basketball last night's game that looks a lot more like what we saw at the end of two thousand and nineteen, the beginning of two thousand twenty. So if they can do that. Again, the guy's playing their role may simply playing his defensive role and rebounding role. Loved the fact they didn't switch that much at the top of the key. But see that was big. That was an adjustment. Can the avs make that adjustment Tonight. You gotta come out fire and because Dallas did I mean they came out on fire? So it is do or die time for the Colorado Avalanche thirty one minutes after the hour. Let's talk about the Colorado rockies coming up tough spot for them. They're they're five hundred though and I think as of right now, they still have a playoff spot and it's the push. This is the last day of August and then they have. September. It's time for Big Push Marquez. Go to the Mount Tonight for the rocks we'll get. We'll have the game for you here on thirteen ten KFI. They'll see if they can fight on here and even this year in this series and a tie. And then. They have some tough games coming up. So we'll talk about the rockies coming up next. Don't go anywhere thirty one minutes after the hour. Let's get the latest on the local sports flash mornings with Kale weekdays six to nine and northern Colorado's voice. Thirteen ten KFI. So I'm very curious I've been saying this for three years mark that Jamal Murray will be a top point guard in this league and I'm feeling good about it but I'm very skeptical still needs consistency. I I'm. So I think he's GonNa Point Guard I think he's a great to guard I don't think he's a ball distributor Monkey Morris the distributor..

"And again I've said this all year their depth is what's going to win them a title. I love their stars I love jokers, Star I love Murray as a star consistent when he's consistent but. It's the depth. You know when when they have their best out, that's when the nuggets have to shine. So I. I love. Monty Morris but I also love him coming off the bench. I love him being a second unit because it raises all boats I do believe Morris is not going to be long for the Denver Nuggets 'cause he's starting point. Guard. And Murray's not giving that up and. If he does anything like he did yesterday and continues to the series and the rest of the playoffs and Yeah Murray's. Marie is a true superstar. Is this going to be the year of playoffs that we see Murray walkaway championship or not where we were? We finally agree that Jamal Murray is a superstar in this league. If he does something like that. Yeah. I. Mean like you said, if he performs like that these next three games, the nuggets will. They'll sweep should be an issue. Yeah. You would think but they have to have better defense. First. Was a pretty sharp as far as defense defense. I think they'll had fifty two points in the first half, which isn't the best in the world, but it's not bad. And then the second half they gave up thirty one in the third quarter and thirty two in the fourth they clamp down on the overtime though. Ten points. So. It's a mindset you have to be dedicated to. Okay. So we're GONNA take a break here. And, do we have to take a break I don't know or do we just go so a couple of minutes and then it'll be it just a few more minutes. Yeah. Okay what do you WanNa? Talk about? Well. We hit the rockies and Freeland a little bit. ABS- ABS- bounce. Seven to one or something final score but they were they were lighting it up. Me Talk about a bounce back. I mean they they were not happy with the way that last game went down there they play tomorrow as well. So we continue to have. A, lot of great things happening here, and if the rockies can just get back together here, I mean, they couldn't find their bats yesterday. Yeah they win seven to one. We knew we knew it was going to be a tough a tough sledding for the coyotes in this one I just I mean I would have bet some money on that one. Colefax because we knew that was going to happen. The great team and that's the thing with hockey and that's why upsets aren't always the are always that upsetting right because you could play a great game but if you're goalie gets hot. Things change but to. Kemper had some issues didn't he? I mean the avs outplayed. Arizona. The last game. But Gola got hot can't get it through there. And they played them again yesterday and. They were they were in a tough spot. Certainly were. So yeah, the APPs do they do they take this? They move on tomorrow. Do they get this thing tomorrow I think so they wrap it up and they're going to win the series four to one. I wouldn't I can't imagine I think this is what happens and series sweeps are pretty rare even though I'm predicting the nuggets to sweep the jazz, they're very rare. So even bad teams are going to find a way to steal one. But I think in this, oh? Yes. That's the purpose of a series, right? Because that does happen. That's why I love in H. L. NBA playoffs because you always weeds out the best in the world I mean because if you go like, that's what troubled me with football sometimes with the NFL and again, they can't change it. This is the way it is, but it's one game in the plastic. It's one super bowl. You know it's one game, and if you know if you just don't bring it if you just don't have it and the other team does they win. I love a series in baseball too. But especially hockey basketball those two sports you're going to find out who the best is bad teams even they're all pros they're all even the worst team in the NHL worst him in the NBA. Still, GonNa find a way to upset even the best members when the nuggets were still pretty bad like four years ago five years ago. The kept beating Golden State Golden State like only lost. So many games that year Denver beat them twice. So why is that? That would have they would never even stood a chance in the playoffs, but they find a way. So yeah, Arizona found a way to get one on Sunday or Saturday. Now happening again avs move on they'll move on to the second round I. believe still str very strongly that the nuggets will move past the jazz even if they don't sweep them, I think the the nuggets are Advanced to the second round of the playoffs and how about that? Let's talk about how significant that will be. Colfax George Karl was essentially fired because he couldn't get his team of the first round. If Malone does it again his first two years of going to the playoffs and the nuggets they're out of the first round both years and I think he Doesn't have a problem with that. Yeah, and that crazy. So, in a roundabout way, you finally got what you want you fire George Karl beside you. Jerry. Takes the Toronto job. You can't get out of the first round Mike Malone is three away from doing it back to back. All right. So that's going to do it for us. We'll be back for a full show on Wednesday and we'll get back to a real top text, Tuesday. Next week, and we'll see where we are on that Philip Lindsey signed Jersey. All right. Go to the whole show dot com, find our podcast find our blogs. Everything is available there. That'll do it for us. Good night. Northern Colorado..

"Was the biggest takeaway from the weekend. Way Davis giant liability. The nuggets look rusty. The avs Nauseam Qadri is a wizard. Or Kyle Freeland is back baby or the avalanche are the team to beat in the NHL. I mean I guess we could say the Iraqi starting pitching. I don't know these were just some of the things that that hit me I I mean we talked a lot about the starting pitchers last week and listen day are all playing. extraordinarily. Well, and that's exciting to see because pitching has always a question. Now, it's the bullpen. But how how many years guys have you now eight games in but what did? I say last week all ten games in. We're going to know a lot of with about the sixty game set and how this is going to go. But with the question has always been about can starting pitchers, go six innings can they go? Can they at least get? Into five or index you at least get there and that's not really the question. Now, this offense rolling in the pitches are allowing that to happen. They're not putting extra pressure on the bats to have to perform all the time. So you do get a play with a little bit more confidence and that's play the loose a little bit more loosely to that's a big deal. And it's really exciting to see Kyle Freeland. Just, rolling I mean his stuff looks sharp right now I have is text line three, one, nine, three, one, nine, nine, six, hundred, enjoyed more. Hockey basketball or or baseball Let's see. I've got a couple of texts here. Let's be read. Chiming in. I couldn't agree more on the fatigue from all. The politicizing can't even get excited for games anymore especially with how lazy the Nuggets Look I'm all in on the NHL now. Rocky Okay and then he says rocketing to make a trade before the deadline for some bullpen help they don't stand a chance down the road and that's why the rockies are not rated ranked as high as everybody. Thinks that the six and two teams should be ranked. You, know you're looking at their strength schedule which again the padres looked pretty good Oakland. A.'s were supposed to be pretty good and I think the Rangers we're going to be a middle of the road type team. But they're worried about the bullpen now on the politicizing thing. I'm curious Hogan's. Shoot us a text three, one, nine, nine, six, three, one, nine, nine, six. Are you finding yourself a bit there was a lot of basketball games over the weekend a lot, and they were all nationally televised for the most part. Did you find yourself getting a little fatigued not only by the pre-game festivities but the all the post game and everything going on throughout the process and I mean, it's all in your it's in-your-face. Now it's not just it's not even during during the game it is in your face Do you find yourself pulling away and going elsewhere? I'd like to now three, one, nine, nine, six, three, one, nine, nine, six, twelve, fifty, seven, the whole show powered by energy we'll be right back..

"One of those things you would get it like target. That's like a woodblock with a. You know, some sort of pleasant axiom on it. But they live laugh love. Yeah. That or dance like no one is watching like three different fonts on it in different sizes. But bless this mess is a big bless this mess side, but encountering it here at this point in the book after we've seen all this traveling. It does feel really like people have been traveling around the world, and they are mostly telling stories about like, hey, I met this cool dude who treated me well here, which is interesting. So then I guess the next thing that happens is he gets a bath from your Clara the older. In the Avs. So Penelope is like, hey, you told me a good enough story that you can stay here all night his lies were like the truth. And she listened she began to weep. Her face was melting the snow that zephyr scatters across the mountain peaks than your thoughts. It has it melts. The river swell and flow again. So were her lovely cheeks dissolve with tears she wept for her own husband who is right next to her. So. Yeah, Odysseus is says, oh, don't go to any trouble. But if you have like an old like bad servant who you aren't using anything else. You can wash my feet. Yes. And Penelope's like, I know just the I know just the day. And so here comes your Klay the old serving woman who you may. Or does Wilson you slave for these? I think I think you're Claire is referred to at least once as a slave the old slave shed hot tears at one. Okay. So she is she's asleep woman. But you may remember her from really early in the book where she helps to limit guests. Yeah. Yeah. Leave without Penelope notice. So she goes to wash his feet, and then we get this whole story about a deceased going out as a kid like boar hunting with his cousins. I think so. Yes, his family, right? As she starts to bathe him. He's like, oh, man. She's gonna feel my scar. Like, he I think the Wilson says he has a premonition of her learning his identity, and it is he it's his mom's dad comes to visit him when he's born. Like, it was like, hey, I'm going to have a bunch of treasure at my house when he's old enough to come get. Call him a deceased, and so he goes to his Grandpa's house with his cousins and everything and they go hunting, and yeah, he gets like wailed on by a boar before he can kill it. Right. But so he has he has this long scar on his leg, and your clay feels it as like, oh, you're Odysseus. Hey, bud. Welcome back and a deceased sets like grabs her by the throat with both hands with both hands. And he says her be silent. No, one was no or else. I promise you if some God helps me bring the suitors down. I will not spare you when I kill the rest, the other slave women, although you were my nurse. My God snitch is get stitches your class. Like the first line. Nanny wire you trying to destroy me. Every seven year old has said that to their nanny episode of muppet babies. Were they get really upset with nanny Kermit grabs. Nanny by the throat. Daddy. Trying to destroy me. Vader's in the closet, and then she's like she's like ho with calculation Wilson notes that she's like, oh, well, I'll tell you about which of the slave girls are bad. And he's like, I don't need your help. I'm just go. Go look at the myself. I've already got to figure it out to like learn to delegate. Yes. Odysseus? That's what that's my recommendation to you. Well, he did. And then all those dudes killed those cabs. Well, that's just because he went to sleep. Oh, that's a good point. I thought he has one more conversation with Penelope before the books out. And she basically is like should I stay or should I go like should I then? And it's my it's my favorite song. She says, and I think the leagues are speaking to me, should I like hang out here with my son or should. I should. I like, oh, Mary someone it's gonna suck. Well, even she even has this had this dream her where they're bunch of like geese eating Oliver stuff..
