Advancing an Antibody to Prevent and Treat Cytokine Storms in COVID-19

"Cameron. Thanks for joining us. Annual real pleasure to be with you. We're gonna talk about covid. Nineteen kind storms in your experimental therapy zuma mob which is in late stage testing for covid as in clinical development to treat a range of cancers and other conditions. I thought we could start with a little history of the company had been known as callow bios. It was heading towards the liquidation. And you succeeded the infamous martin kelly who was on the job for about four weeks before he was arrested. What attracted you to the company. Well been in this role now for five years the company while it had multiple problems back then always had very interesting science. And that's proven to be the case with the development work that we've established for lenzi mab and i've advertising mab those Two of our lead. Monaco acted me was first and foremost the science. Secondly the opportunity to have a significant impact on as many patients as possible. You rename the company managing and put a focus on rare neglected diseases. Lead zoom apple was being developed to treat rare cancers sam l. j. aml where was the drug actually discovered so the drunk was initially developed not in its current format by a research group in australia and humanitarian licensed those rights. He managing has a proprietary platform technology. Cold human era and human hearing takes the role material if you will in some ways and optimizes it and lenzi mab as the product of that up so it's fully owned by hugh managing and we applied the same secret sauce. If you will to Taja again i advertise you. Map is fully by humanitarian covid. Nineteen can turn deadly by causing what's known as a kind storm. What's a cytokine storm. And how does covid nineteen caused this to happen. Well what happens. Is the virus triggers. An inflammatory reaction. And we all have those kinds of things happening in our body when we engage with viruses bacteria fungi and some types of cancer. So we want the immune system to work in those situations. Unfortunately in some patients with nineteen the immune system goes into overdrive so inflammatory reaction is really what causes some of the body systems to go haywire. So think of it this way daniel. It's a little like you sometimes need to have a foot on the brake and sometimes you need to have a foot on the gas when you're driving. According to the circumstances you encounter cited kind storm is a bit like having your foot on the gas and keeping it pressed on the gas with out anything taking it off. So what lens. Any map does as it. Neutralizes side kind. The triggers the stole and so in some ways in lens does have a jewel mechanism in some ways. You could think of it. Take the metaphor further as both taking the foot off the gas pedal and applying foot on the break. And that's walk allows. The cited kind storm to dissipate. What is granollers site. Macrophage pollinating stimulating factor. Is is this. The signalling you spoke about it is and we abbreviated. Helpfully to g. m. c. sf so gmc sf is a bit like communication conduit between certain cells in the body. They're involved in the inflammatory response. And when not inflammatory response goes into overdrive in the way i've described a lot more. Gmc s. f. is produced that triggers other side kinds downstream site signs to do their dastardly work. So if you can neutralize gmc if you can prevent some of the downstream impacts and daniel. Sometimes the way. I describe this is if you have been at a party. And people dram party coppers you pull a string this this liberal explosion and a whole load of confetti and streamers and glitter and other stuff goes all over the place well pulling the string is a bit like gmc sf being triggered an the convention streamers and glitter of the downstream site. Kinds that just go everywhere and create havoc

"Aml. Jamie also noticed Aml Jamie has written to us and she has something that I think we found very interesting away. That we haven't heard before. Where it's leading somebody to believe that maybe there's another is cheating. In this case, her husband, really it involves Venmo, I I don't know why we continue to be shocked, but that is surprising. Yes, right about that. So we do have Jamie on the phone. Hi, Jamie. So can you describe to us first about why you wrote to us and why it involved Venmo? Yeah. I think my husband cheating. I follow him on Ben Lo and I've been seeing with transactions and he's money. A lot of money. Oh, I'm so sorry. It's okay. Your phone is breaking up with your back. You hear me? Yes. As they go about that is okay. So what about the charges Make you think that he's cheating? Because Venmo, you know people are familiar, Katie, I guess yes. Oh, Venmo is basically online transactions where you can transfer money from your bank account. To somebody else's bank account and the way Venmo it's kind of cute, kind of funny is that you know, there's a memo section on a check or something where you can put emojis in there and say what it is that you're paying the money for, but for the most part, just like an online transaction, transferring money. So what about his actions make you think well, so I keep falling for the same friend and it just It looks a little suspicious because these these transactions keep going through when he's saying that he's at work. Or that he's running errands, and I don't know. I feel like maybe one of his friends is lending who cash, though, that you know I won't see anything weird on his credit card bill and another day, trying to figure out what's going on and getting a really weird vibe about it. You just feel weird things going on. Yeah, I just have a gut feeling and I don't know it makes me feel weird. It keeps going to the same person when he should be at work and OK, we feel this is the person a guy or a girl. He's sending it to a guy. Okay. So you think sending men to that guy who might be give him cash to cheat a little stretch? I mean, what we always do. Say trust your intuition. I mean, even agreed. If it doesn't make sense, it might not just be there in plain sight, but you might feel a certain way. We'll Jamie. You've asked us to do a war of the roses, and so we're totally on board if you're still on board. Yeah, Absolutely. All right. Thank you. Yes, of course. But I'm listen. I just want youto understand that when we call your husband, we get him on the phone. You're live with us there, too. So you're hearing everything We're hearing as we're hearing it, okay? All right, well, hold tight, and we'll give him a call and your husband's name or what's his name? Greg? Greg. All right. Hold on one second..

"Aml on all morning listener. Her name is Mallory. And she actually was listening One day when you're talking about how your husband been loves golf in place a couple times a week. Is this when Ah, I said that I wasn't going to do a make good after Getting a little tipsy. Committed more than tipsy. I got drunk in his father's house. Yes. And then I wasn't going to make good because he plays golf all the time. Don't make good. He has play free time. And so I don't know what this has to do with that. But we do have Mallory on the phone. Good morning. Mallory. Mallory. Good morning. How are you? We're doing great. So you heard on the radio. But what what's going on in your life? Well, you know, Listen, I heard your conversation you know about like, how Ben go to political week and all that stuff And, you know, I guess thinking about my husband and I He plays like twice a week to and I don't know. I mean, look, you've gone for six hours at a time. He looked at this stuff never shows up on a credit card is all paid by cash. You know, friends, and just I don't know. Like I just Don't know if he's cheating, or if I'm just being paranoid. I don't know why little off. Okay, So you heard that part now? Are there other things because I mean, that's an interesting Stretch in a way, so like is, Are there other things going on? That might lead you to believe that he's seeing somebody else will. You know? I don't know. I mean, Suspicion. Is that like I just I just think he's creating stuff. I mean romantic getaway that we wanted to go on like that. And he's not really asking me to go and He was asked if his golf courses you by like, I mean, they're just fishing around it. But then look what I dropped it and I It just sounds so overly suspicious. You tell me if I'm overreacting? I don't know. I think that you just trust your gut on it. I mean, there must be some Something maybe deep down inside. That is leading you to think that maybe there is something I don't know. Do you still want to call us to call your husband and new order? Oh, yeah. No, Absolutely. I mean, yeah, It's just Yeah. Okay, Here we go..

How To Spend A Billion Dollars - Tama Churchouse

"Some on the Internet right now on the fence. Anybody else self old abroad so roque more valuable actually doors and tells them a little bit about Eos vase say and what its role is rigged up so throughout the token sale The two thousand seventeen twenty eighteen in just over full bay and revenue had a billion of that was airmont towards in supporting companies that building on or using your CEO. And that's pretty much it We have a number of putting the funds Galaxy Sandra Sandra in the US and a few others the main core of that managed by a team of home led by founder and we offer it really as a traditional sie That's pretty much good really looking for looking good companies US way in the thank you for making no symbols driver who didn't have to God it too much data on some of these quotas Atlanta Ansah. So I appreciate that sometimes takes time but some father wherever you invested. Have you found that. There's been a theme you with the investments leading up to now. Yeah I mean for the last twelve months It's really been dominated by the gaming space kind a- are you know upon funds and kind of the whole ecosystem. It's mainly been I would say the biggest sector within blockchain as it were is the gaming space And that's where he driven by the NFC side of things and we think it's a very low hanging piece of fruit in terms of You know the first wrote in Batticaloa it's GonNa get shifted by blockchain. So that's number one. The second really something to look in now is more supply. Why Shame Logistics Boring but you know what these existing businesses that can be appended pretty quickly? So that's kind of what we're looking at absolutely speaking with somebody not too long ago. It was speaking about Tom. Perishables like setting made from say Australia and Japan stop supports our Indonesia all of a sudden that you know the Fraser shops taboo this insight we send a frozen this sense I will. We didn't get a frozen WHO's to blame and housing work ways around that and that's the whole as you say very boring. A massive industry could use a little bit of help there as well so I understand that but the Guy Ming saw it. Do you think it's being the blockchain business working well the guy with the first into bitcoin and crypto assets and they're much more openly about you'd watch it or just Hughley from business plan the blockchain's haunts back of the business. So I mean if you look at the early iteration of and you're absolutely right as the game is one of the biggest parts of the early ecosystem you mentioned Brooke for example Brendan the CEO of one as well as a big long history history. In gaming the way we look at it is the first iteration on watching games. Were really very very simple. You look at today's Ace. Whatever they are and these are real kind of fuel outright blockchain games? They had that time. In my opinion I think what we're looking for now as a company like Mexico Games okay. That's a traditional AAA games. Judy I mean there's four four x judo heads I mean these guys have produced teams like club. She old from activision guys. And so that's really NUNTII. Five percent a traditional triple eight gaming studio but that extra five percent the unlocking with blockchain. NFC's and the ability own trade your own digital assets and that peace could have unlocked huge market before we not been able to play and we told them AAA the writing. Yes well in a sense I mean triple eight means talk what you expect to play on your xbox that kind of triple instead of the smaller adapt that we see now which maybe don't add. Fiddling little things have not yet a humongous massive revenue-generating new generating massive uses massive audiences. Like doesn't say call Judy exactly. And we'll a lot of these projects that you're investing being in but I'm asking you this because I love the skinny on this you were in the depths of it will issue. There are entitled to the same buying new sold or skin for the guy. I'm not so the thing is I mean that's a great question and it's a huge on something I try and keep it very few it is I mean getting to to mock it with the ability for players to actually extract value the whole point about blockchain digital assets is for the first time in a game you have ownership like property when you think about it. That's the title Property Property Rights then you've got markets and then and you have value transacted value. You're GONNA need at some stage and starts and where the cryptic token ends. It's a big big question. There's a lot of antimony neutering Kyi seat. I think any any game launches in developed market. It will need to compete. Consider those very very carefully if it's a simple straightforward. That doesn't really exist such as fashion. You you gotta get paid in L. Soul. Make your money in theory or whatever it is is less of an issue but for those games yes I mean that. KYC aml melting is going to be considered. Yeah makes sense. Actually we think about the the profiles of Playa Rod that profile the play as it goes through the ranks. It's GonNa be a cold early to there's going to be something that it's this artist. Shoot so I understand that saw. It's your character that you're gone or it's your soul. It makes Mike Sense to me an arm. Somebody not deeply entrenched in the technology on the trader speculate educated. But that's what I do in this so yeah it makes perfect sense. It's good that you say that because a lot of people just start on this step especially from traditional finance. They didn't understand like why would she. You pay a thousand dollars your character to have Louis Vitton Tom back. It doesn't make sense. It's like well you pay for your wife's one so you know just because it's in real life it's the same things apply. The same vanities apply so one loss longer. So I mean it's it's getting people to understand that and broaching does allows you to have limply in game sneakers or whatever it is so the wolves absolutely shifting in that direction. It's you know you can understand that thankfully very smile. So what else investing in the space. I can't imagine that you've execute all the funds yet. Imagine a lot of law a good ten things. I'd say let's talk. Let's hope told months from now as despite the falls ask me say. We'll regulation as businesses actually bringing products to the the mock rather hitting the road. Clients uses actually using things that have been created. Obviously we no longer markets. All of these projects are going to file ninety percent of businesses businesses and startups file. anyways too dissimilar to what we GONNA say. What do you think's going to be the next thing? Twelve months with the Progression Charlie as we say it so what I'm still waiting to see is that is a big existing business to effectively reinvent themselves by putting some part of that process on blockchain and that's kind of because it has the potential told to open so many doors allows the things that you couldn't do before but I've not seen enough cases of twenty twenty billion logistics company or social media. Come or any major company saying look now but Chris we implemented this. We're GONNA get an signings. Multiple that skyrocket. So whatever it is I haven't seen that and I think I'm hoping to see that. In the next twelve months as this space Mitchell's I'm I'm from a investment one of you. That's what we look for as well you know you know. We're a CRYPTO conference have been looking at blockchain companies but you blockchain venture well beyond what you'd call a blockchain company is any company that uses blockchain at all to reinvent invent or improve substantially any part of the business process for less time. And it's just not enough companies that we find them effectively actively And that's the challenge for the next twelve

"Are the policies that are coming down from Washington for people that aren't on the ground that don't necessarily see the each and every herd management area and what would be best for us so they make these policies and the good one was we don't want to DO fertility control until we get down to the AML and it's like so they never got to AML and so they never did fertility control and that was a policy that was in Washington now they're re looking at that but those are the kind of things that stop local offices from being proactive and really doing things that might change and move the needle to where you have a better control on four summers at the end of that offices you would think those people work with the horses they see the horses they would know it best and know the range as well certainly a lot better than somebody away back there so yeah you would think that their decisions would be the overriding decisions but unfortunately Washington policy dictates and limits those decisions I know their suggestion of that there's a plan in place to move the BLM completely out of Washington move it somewhere else that's kind of a mixed bag in that most of the people of probably work for BLM wouldn't be moving with that it would just dismantle the agency all together with it you know that would be something where you know really the money comes from Washington and really Congress has the biggest influence on what happens with the department of interior and the BLM so moving it away from Washington you know you'll lose that contact where you actually still needs.

"You know, I'm talking just about our currency, but krypton general. So it will it will take time. But we wanna be there. Once once this starts happening wanna have all the pieces in place now later down the road. We also want to enable businesses to access confidential currency and eventually be able to pass AML tests for the currency EBay desire to do. So. So the bigger long-term vision is to create a layer that is the best confidential cryptocurrency, then add more layers would allow people want that to create some sort of history that can be used to also pass ammo and also present audit. Can you walk through what that would look like then? So maybe there is a business, and you gave that example of a VPN, and I wasn't sure by that. You mean a customer using VPN could pay using a privacy coin. That that's a use case that that is very valley today right there there. There are a lot of places where people don't want to expose their entrant traffic to the government or or twelve people the use VPN's, but it would think of it now use VPN refugee we have to pay for that. So the same government can actually know that I paid for this began is I'm not using a confidential means Amos and beam is such a means of payment that can be used for quarrying those services. It kind of is a perfect. It's a perfect match, but other other stoppers wealth worse. And with when you were talking about KYC, like, what's an example of a company that would do that or with auditing, etc. KYC is much later down the road at the division is that, you know, imagine aid arts for were an online merchant that is like Amazon, right or another country mentioned the web web store that sells books or stuff or you know, what let's imagine regulated exchange. Right. Like, I think the sponsors of this show are exactly talking about animals so exchange in some places when you bring a bunch of coins to the same thing they want to do some tests ready want to make sure that they won't be attacked by the government for for failing those tests. So what we want to enable in the future is to enable the user of the coin to prepare in advance in store, some sort of a history that would prove that. At the mine was acquired illegitimate way. Or in other words, surpass the amount tests. But by while still being fully confidential Anka's today with bitcoin you can pass those deaths that the price is that everybody sees everything right with confidential currency today. It's very hard for pass those tests because there is no trace at all. But a mentioned situation where you could create betrays which was confidential, but he could show it to somebody you trust or have to press. And then they would they would check us history and say, yeah, okay. This those funds are legitimate. We can accept. So how do you persuade businesses to use beam? Is it going to be done with a typical sales team who got pitching this cryptocurrency two businesses, and how will that work when both both a merchant, and then who are their supply or whoever, you know, when both sides need to agree to use beam. Like, how are you going to convince you convince both sides or how does that part work? So. So first of all businesses do realize in will realize more that using non-confidential cryptocurrencies. All right. We don't need to be go door to door and try to sell him that we'll do the two partnerships with with the payments integrators. So on our goal is just to enable that. So so so I will realize that they need confidential courtesy because as a business you can't just Exposal your boosts everyone. Right. And then they will also need to realize that some of them at least need to do some sort of reporting right in passing sort of tests. And so we are planning to develop a technology that would allow both and went businesses are looking for cryptocurrency to use that will be ripped guarantee. They will be able to use..

"Like like wow to me because you've got New York slight tattoo your accent. It's too gruff. But it's in the and so you can hear the history of the in you, I don't know twenty five years after leaving the suburbs of Maryland. Yeah. Right. So, but they they go. I assume that you weren't fully from New York. Right. Right. So I could hear that the city is at an influence, but there was a neutral tone that I couldn't identifies a full bred New Yorker. I now have I think a very because my voice is getting deeper as I get older. I've got slight Caribbean thing too. Yeah. Yeah. London. Definitely prominent Los Angeles accent. I would. But I was this interview that Dan as a lent feel into the way, I express myself, which I saw an interest when I was working moving him and speaking with him, but he's what trends lent feel like swimming SNL recently. It's like, you know, he's talking American at times, but he just doesn't feel like much of a shift. So for all those all those episodes of the wire too. He had to buy, you know. Yeah. Then. Your life back that kind of thing. Yeah. He is one of the many I gotta say that British actors in general just have a much better track record of being convincing other accents. I think it goes back to that whole. You've heard that old story about Dustin Hoffman and Laurence cilivian, try, darling. Yeah. Right. Right. Exactly. You know, like, we're Americans are traditionally focused on from the inside out. British acting culture was historically more outside in or at least willing to deal with the outside and treat it as fake. I happen to for me. Anyway, disagree because I learned some of my great acting from Americans from American movies, right? And from that period of time we're talking about the seventies and eighties and of films, even for me the nine thousand four it's my Katharine Hepburn movies, Spencer, Tracy and Jimmy Stewart. So I have really been a love about. The American nature of things is to deal with things from a visceral emotional point of view, the English do well is intellectualize it, right? They intellectualize the wise in how come right right because there to train it. And that's what you have to do. An auto say we have an advantage intensive accents. Because anybody that's outside of America has forced to look at American. The world. Right. Right. Right. As America Zony forced to look at it self up until recently lost ten years. You know, info tens of culture. You don't really need to know anything outside of the Beatles and Bob Marley and all the heavy is. Yeah, unfortunately for us in some ways. But I am not suggesting that all British acting is from the outside. I do think that there's like in the training at Rahda another. There's an tell me if I'm wrong wrong toy there's a Vance level of technique around voice and movement that American acting tradition didn't really do because we came because of post Stanislavsky just like get inside the soul of. That's what we were about psychology. I would send quite American in that fashion. But I do it from the cerebral. I because I feel anything we did everything we do is very emotion based in the psychology to emotion base. I think also from me I was up to remember for myself is that because I've got Caribbean..

"Don't know. Your wife driving you out there. There's really nothing that the city can do about it. It's totally within the club's legal rights to go with that name. So it looks like plan is just to make life miserable for the club. The place hasn't even opened yet in the city is already going after the owner about missing permits to put up a sign. I don't think it will. I don't think it'll last. Well, the problem with it is it is dangerous because you know. I I know where the hospital is around here. Right. But like if you're in a different section, and you might put that in you know, what I'm saying, you're panicking. Yeah. And then you just go, and that's what you show up. And that's what it is. It's pretty crazy. That would be messed up as a terrible. Would you go to -mergency room club? Jason. Yes. Of course, if they were hot. Katie works. The charge may or may not show up as the emergency room because strip clubs most of them for some reason around here, though, they got to change it. 'cause it's becoming quite obvious is like if you go to a strip club here, the charges something about the golf shop or golfing, and they changed the just for the record. You don't have to tell me how it works because I've been to the strip club several times and paid for it. Jared is the one who has never been to the strip club charges were. I'm just saying I don't think the emergency room might be. It might not show up might be something whatever they choose to show up. I think that that is what they're choosing the name. And you're the the billing for the that would be that was that's that's not smart because your wife would be like did you go to? Tweet my ankle again. There every weekend chest pain apart. Did you golfing again this weekend? How did you do that your home like for majority weekend was last night? You went out. Yes. Golf at night thing. It's all I don't know. Why it always go? But it is always golf on the charges. That's when you know, you're running up and up business when you have to put what it's not. What you're doing? We can't really say. Wait for Ben for Katie. It would be very hard because we he plays golf all the time. And that's right. That's what you're saying. I wish they don't get to choose what it says Harris teeter. Yes. That would be good. Yeah. It's my boyfriend. Okay. What's going on? Well, I think he might be cheating on me. Why do you think that? He's been really cold lately and really stressed out. And then really recently, I was going through our Bank statement. And I saw that he had spent twenty dollars at a flower shop, and I never got any flowers. Okay. Wait. Can I ask you question? So it's your friend, but you all have a joint Bank account. Yeah. We share finances. We've been together a while. Okay. Okay. Yeah. Case Meriden, they don't share. We have a joint. Being, a millionaire. And still being nothing you're not happy but anxious because they'd be the next thing what's next. What's the. Next thing a lot a lot. Of, things I it comes from job and job performance succeeding and winning against the competition In all facets of your life do you have more anxiety now than you did ten years ago I don't see when you say anxiety I think of. Anxiety is like. I'm constantly ward I'm more like I'm. Gonna win it's more it's a different type of. Anxiety most, people they seem to have this anxiety and they don't know the reason, why it was just a half, and I had this and I don't know. Why I can't cope. I could cope? "It went down from fifty, seven hundred to twenty nine hundred twelve. So I've heard talk and maybe you could confirm it to Lonnie, but the idea of the adoption market being saturated over time like the people who wanted to adopt a horse have adopted a horse. And so the ratio of them that during these roundups when they go out and capture to try to reduce the population on the landscape closer to AM l. rather than those being adopted, they're going more and more to the holding facilities. So a downward trend in adoption. Meanwhile, an upward trend in the population both in in holding facility. These and on the landscape to the point where there's forty, four thousand in holding facilities forty, six thousand as of two thousand seventeen. And to your point about the population growth. Again, looking at the numbers which are readily available online between twenty seventeen and twenty eighteen. There was a thirteen percent increase on range. So not including the ones that are being held at the facilities in that bump in population was from an estimated seventy two thousand six hundred seventy four up to eighty one thousand nine hundred fifty one and the AM l. the max AML is twenty six thousand six hundred ninety. So the maximal is basically being exceeded by about an order of three hundred percent. Majesty's insurmountable problem. Have you heard the argument you're shaking your head..

"On betrix as well as expanded so that every customer on beatrix will be able to have access to dollar trading belts pk so i'm curious your industry this industry itself is a global asset class and you have global competitors that don't have the same rules and regulations that you have to comply to how do you as big tricks compete against places like by or some of the asian exchanges well for us we have this commitment to compliance and we think that solving the regulatory puzzle in the united states really unlocks a lot of capital that really can't trade on a foreign exchange that doesn't have proper aml kyc controls or proper compliance so we think we can actually add tremendous amounts of value as we're working with the regulatory agencies in the united states do you have to conform to the rules of a securities exchange then bill which i would imagine a lot of exchanges want to avoid because it's a lot more paperwork well right so today we trade things that are definitely not securities you know that's one of the things that we screen for we want to ensure that these are utility tokens that we think are commodities is is ripple what where do you see on p then well i mean we don't like to speak about any individual token because as an exchange we like to remain market neutral but ripple is one of the tokens that trades on our exchange and it has gone through review an ongoing review hey bell another question from from vk here i curious when i look at what you're doing there it reminds me very much of the early trades in schwab's view think of yourself more of a kind of retail i don't wanna use the word brokerage but let's call retail portal to this ecosystem that ultimately you'll look more like a brokerage firm rather than exchange.
