Did cheating help Astros win World Series? Hinch says we may never know

"Aj hinch and the interview. He did finally breaking his silence of the disgraced astros manager who was fired in the wake of the breaking story in major league. Next glad you said that the ask the disgraced astros manager he was not. There's nothing else to call him. He's a disgrace Astros manager He was caught up up in the science. Dealing Scandal of the Astros didn't do enough to stop it and the first thing rob Manfred did was announced his suspension for Major League Baseball and then a couple allows later. The Astros fired him. You mentioned the interview he did. It's going to air tonight. And he was asked. Does this championship that you wanted. Twenty Lee seventeen. Is it tainted by this new scandal. Unfortunately we open that door as a group in that question I may never be answered. We may never know we're going to have to live and move forward and be be better better in the sport but unfortunately no one can really answer. Threw that question. I I can't pinpoint what advantages or what what happened. Or what. Exactly what happened otherwise but we did it to ourselves. Okay wait I can answer. It had had a lot to do. Look at the home road. Splits of all your headers like Jose Altuve. Have you see our relay race. Home and road splits dislike. It's like four twenty at home one twenty on the road and you remember if correctly that was when they remember lost the Games in New York to the Yankees remember the laws and then at home the they won all games. I mean it was an if I'm a dodger fan. I'm salty as well 2017. MLB CHAMPION DOC. There are two parades coming twenty seventeen and twenty eighteen and then back to back. Alex Cora takes that same show on the road and same thing. I I asked we. We know of this movie Bets trae goes through. You know as as Alex Cora cheated to be named later. Is that a part of the look at you know. I think that was the penalty. Not was the red sox train. mookie Betts to the padres and they said No. No you gotta make amends and trading with the dodgers all right shoulder dodger you owe the dodgers at Aj Aj hinch clearly is in that mode all of us do this in our lives. Whenever something bad happens did the interview though he could he could run and hide for year and not be heard from? I think it's better when you get out in front of it. But is he getting out in front of my saying. I don't know what kind of impact this had. Clearly when you're batters know what's it's coming. It's a lot easier when you go to that length of we're putting in electronic sign stealing system and you play the. I'm only the manager card. I couldn't stop this. No one believes please. You know either. The point where he's at the point in his life and all of us do this right when something happens in our lives. It's bad that we're responsible for. What do we try to do at some point? We try rationalize why it happened. And it's not really our fault. Aj hinch is at this point where who knows what he's GonNa do in baseball again. He's going to manage again. Maybe a couple years somewhere where. I'm not quite sure that he's at that point. where I need to reconcile with myself because I am a world series champion and I'm not going to walk around every day going it was tainted? So I'm I'm GonNa convince myself that I don't know what kind of impact this had altuve as still had to hit the baseball even though he knew what was the old PD argument. So He's in that point of denial. where I'm going is still WANNA walk around and not just feel crappy every day that we won and we won by cheating? So I'm GonNa convince myself that I don't know what we we did. Any act on the game only problem is I get it if you told me that one every game at home then win every game at home even with the cheating scandal. Whoa with knowing what's coming? So that's the part that makes it hard that's why you can't go automatically and say well we should just turn championship over to the dodgers not that the dodgers. aww their fans would want it that way but they didn't win every game using that cheating system so okay so they won three quarters of their. But I'm just saying when eighty percent of they're games that that's the only reason and this could have It doesn't mean that Wa. The team couldn't have beaten them at some point. All I'm saying is I get it cheating. Cheating it helps them. I'm not denying that but it's a reason why you can't take the championship and I don't think that that will work for majorly based on you can easily take like the championship. And you can not awarded to anybody. Say No year but Rob Manfred and look rob Manfred and Adam. Silver are two of the new age commissioners which they they WANNA do nothing they want to do nothing but in grow the game and have great reputations right Adam silver wants to do a little bit less than Rob Manfred but rob Manfred I guarantee aren t you. He thought I'm taking care of this. Here's a suspension for hinch. Here's bench for Jeff Luna. I'm taking care of it and instead what happened. Was it mushroomed out of control to the point. Where an hour an hour after this broke? What was the biggest topic online? Put Pete Rose in the hall of fame. 'cause you're not taking care cheaters enough. This got completely out of control because Manfred doesn't WanNa be the guy where the first line of his wikipedia pages rob Manfred who presided over. MLB taking a world series away from a team for the first time Blah Blah Blah. Aw that would be his legacy. He wasn't going to do it he wasn't going to be the guy to say you're going to look back at my my rain and it's GonNa be pace of play but mainly it's going to be. He took look world series away. He presided over a dark time in major league baseball. He wasn't going to be that guy. I'm not gonNA wear it so I'm GonNa have this suspension and then whatever happens after it gets out of my control and I don't care that's why he didn't do anything. Yeah I I just I never been into it. Even college used to do it and the Olympics and taken away medals and stuff that we watched watched to tell me that Reggie Bush wasn't the heisman trophy winner. You know you could tell me that all you want but I watched that season. Do you know what I mean. So I'm not fully the Internet. I don't think that changes anything. That doesn't take their memory away from me. I think you've just got a penalize the organization but I I'm not into taking championships

Okay. Did you know that Houston owner hub, if you ever watched wrestling growing up, I was very minimally involved in the world of, of profession? Wrestling will growing up as a kid me and my dad watched wrestling all the time. Those those like our thing, okay? By me involved. And I didn't I just never watched wrestling again. It's not that you can't do both because I know there are a lot of sports guys who love wrestling, just for me. Like, that's the way the, the thing broke. And I for whatever reason never got back into wrestling anyway. Continue fair enough. What really drew me to, to stone cold for one. He's from Texas. He's called the Texas rattlesnake. Yeah. And use the whenever he won a match. He would stand on the turnbuckle and hold his hand out and somebody will throw him a beer. Yeah. And he would just crush it where he'd be to be crushed to. Together dump them into his face. It was the coolest thing ever. Yes. Anyway, he has the show..

It was his brother ever that took him to the VA to get treatment. But his troubles didn't end there slowly, the depression prep back in he began hiking as a way to keep himself occupied. But he couldn't keep the bad thoughts at bay. I was feeling lonely again. I I needed that comb rotary again, that's where MVP came in as done so much for my personal role mental. Right, right. Love back. She was they are fucking legend. Here's yes. I if you go discography versus discography, there are more songs on an sink that I listen to thin on backstreet. So that's kinda how I'm judging. But then both legendary tell me why first of all Karen civil shout out to Karen civil who is so many wonderful things. But for her birthday, she went to the backstreet boys concert Vegas. Great seats. They have a concert residents. They look good. And she has a whole she has a whole. We're moving with you on a Monday with one either back to the lab. We can Mosey on in on a Monday. Okay. There was some stuff happened with the Marlins yesterday. Right. Or cleaning some house? Yeah, they fired a bunch of coaches. They fired four coaches. Well, that was a problem, right? I mean, I. Yes, it's the problem. I'm an answer. I'm gonna take this. Harry hill should not have been let go. He's the Barry Bonds of infield coaches. Great. Yup. Wasn't Barry Bonds. One of the infield coaches he was hitting Lynch. Okay, but here's the thing. They're justification from what I saw firing the coaches is they lost ninety games, Donnie T-ball still here. So what who cares? Perry hills to blame. I mean, I think that what the reasoning is is that they wanted to do more analytics based coaching. And I guess Perry hill wasn't that I don't know, man, whatever, stop Mattingly an analytic sky. I don't know. He was in Los Angeles and they went a little analytic see and he was on his way out because they went in the direction of analytics. I mean, they got rid of Perry hill. They got rid of one yet. Who's the pitching coach? I believe they got rid of the hitting coach, and then another coach in the Marlins defense, Perry hill. I was reading an article about him because I wanted to come in here and just offend him. And he really does like with an old school. School, like four color pen, BIC pen and a binder charts out every hit like basically stuff that could be done on a tablet. Perry hill is still spending like an hour after every game, right? Owns rolling lines on a binder of where people are hitting very hill. Sounds like a showman from the nineteen forties. The dude puts lettuce under his helmet on hot day games to keep himself cool. We should've kept him. I mean, as nothing to do with coaching. I mean, it's just a cool thing to do. It really is we go out to AJ AJ. What celebrity do you look like? I looked like a Puerto Rican Omari Hardwick. Nice, your hands. "Yeah, maybe this isn't about me, but there's something here and she says, well, actually, my parents are in the middle of a divorce. And I said, you know, they're not moment, so I have not dealt with divorce so I couldn't relate. But I could clearly tell she was going through a tough time. And so I said, oh my gosh, I'm so sorry. And she goes, it's okay. It's fine. You know, kind of shuts off there because I think she was bracing for advice or bracing for however, other people have invalidated her in the past. And and so I saw that as an opportunity to validate. And I said, I know that's not okay. That's not fine. That's got to be incredibly hard. And she said, actually at it really sucks. And then she just started open up and we talked for like an hour and a half. And one of the first things I said after she had started to kind of divulging information as I said, look, I, I'm going to be honest. I haven't dealt with that. You know, I haven't gone through divorce so I can only imagine though the pain that you're feeling and you know the despair and the uncertainty. And again, that just. Like the floodgates opened, you know, and and it was powerful to your point AJ I think it was more powerful. The fact that I was just acknowledged the fact that I didn't know, but that I respected the fact that she was going through a tough time. Right? I can't even imagine is such a powerful phrase when someone is feeling such raw emotions and our first instinct is to comfort them, but we don't have the tools to comfort people in those moments, especially if we haven't experienced them. And the worst thing that you can do is try to be an authentic and they're just like, will you get audio? I remember when I lost my dad, there were so many moments. Riot grew so frustrated with people because I was being invalidated and everyone was trying to pretend is if they've been through it, they suffered and they tried to a moat in a way that was in authentic. So allowing yourself to say, I can't even imagine this, but recognizing the emotion and the frustration and the anger, and all of those negative thoughts that they're working through can really. Allow the person a safer space to share an open up more and his going back to that superpower. I mean, these are the conversations that go on for hours. These are the conversations that create lasting relationships, friendships that allow people in your life to feel supported by you. Absolutely. It's it's powerful and you know, I think few things are as invalidating a saying, oh, my gosh to know exactly how you feel right? Because very rarely in fact, I argue you never really know exactly. I mean, if you think you do, it's fine to say, oh my gosh, she went through something similar and you can share that as part of your validation as long as you return the conversation back to them at the one thing I mentioned the book is you don't have to be careful to not go, oh my gosh, the same thing happened to me last weekend and you started talking the conversations all about me right in there like, oh, that's that's great. So it's fine if you want to share something, but definitely void. I know exactly how you feel. Keep it more. I've been through something similar and then once you finish sharing, return it back to them and there's a lot of ways you can do that. Oftentimes just saying, you know, if I share my story about how it was tough, losing my dad, I might go back and say, it's, it's super, super hard, isn't it? You know. And then it gives you a chance to respond and keep talking. And I feel like in my life, I've had number of moments where I've met other people who've lost parents and it is kind of your first instinct, right? You've come out the other side, you feel like you, okay. Now I have my moments really moat and really connect to this person, and it's so easy to take that exit ramp to. Two. Okay. Now we're gonna talk about AJ AJ alone and really devastate the other person in that moment where they really need comfort..

"All right. The mailbag. Sevi- all right. From AJ dear Andrew, no es and Clayton. My boyfriend and I have our third year anniversary in December, and we want to get married. We both have talked about it extensively and have been picked out and engagement ring talked about our future finances made money plans for better financial future and what we both want out of life. I know he plans to propose and that my father has given his blessing. However, there's a catch on twenty two and he's twenty three. My father has expressed that I am too young and my mother, a divorce attorney who divorced my father years ago as told my family behind my back of our soon to be engagement. My family members have already started to ridicule us. They say jokes about how I'll be pregnant quickly. Despite the fact we don't want that right away and now I should get married. I'm twenty five. I dealt with the differences between my family for some time as I am a Christian and my family consists of non believers and pagans. I feel hurt, but not surprise. My family doesn't support a decision, and I disagree with him about marrying young. My friends and his family support us, and I'm grateful for that. We are willing to get married without my family support. However, I've always wanted to be close to. My family. How can I tell my family that their lack of sport hurts me in the marrying young isn't a bad thing. Also do have any marriage advice. Love listening to your show, and thank you so much AJ AJ you don't have a problem. Marry your boyfriend. That is that is what is in front of you. You have the sorrow in your life, the sorrow is that your family is antithetical to you and to what you believe your, your family, your family lies ahead of you not behind you. The family that you make with your husband is going to be the family for your rest of the rest of your life, and you're going.

"Strikeouts no walks what else can you say? About, the performance they Chris sale continues to give this team on a game in and, game out basis but it takes more than one dominant starter to win. In the postseason you really need to guys that are that are great to guys that you can go one a and one b essentially where it doesn't make a difference who, gets the start you need to guys that I think are capable of carrying a team in. A playoff series and it's hard to have faith in guys like Chris sale and David price wants the postseason rolls around because of their. Lack of execution so to speak their lack of ability to show that they can win in the postseason. In seasons past but because this team has been so dominant all season long because they continue to win at the pace that they have one all season. Long I'm doing my very best to put their postseason record aside to put their previous postseason failures aside and judge this team, based on what I see this year otherwise what's the point of having a seventy and thirty. One team because you would already have convinced yourself that this team can't win in the postseason based on what these guys have done in. Seasons past in the postseason and that just doesn't seem right with this team being as dominant as it's. Been all season long let's squeeze in one more call before we get out of here it's gonna AJ AJ's in leominster AJ what you got Oh you know another day in paradise Plot but. But nobody wants Red Sox long anyway so let me get to, it once the Celtics win the heat how do we match up? "It's a pretty serious question now as they are treated as property. And if you don't have a pet trust for them and you're, you're gone, who's gonna take care of them? And you can't just rely on that handshake with that next door neighbor. Kathy, I just learned that's not legal. You need to have it written down. It needs to be documented. That's what I've learned. So far AJ AJ fudge our state planner and good friend, how much should I leave my cat. Well, it always depends. I have clients that asked me that question all the time, and I usually say, it depends on how old the cat is and what kind of life the cat is living now for a regular cat that just leaves a pretty standard life. I usually say, you know, you can leave anywhere from around twenty five hundred to five thousand. And the caveat on that is that you know that money is used to take care of the cat of their food medical expenses, boarding, that kind of thing, and anything that's leftover from that can still just go to your beneficiaries. So I say it's it's usually better to air on the side of too much rather than too little just because if you don't leave enough, then there's an issue with where those phones gonna come from. And if you leave too much, it's not a big deal because that money is just going to go to whoever your beneficiaries are anyways. And there are situations that I've also had with clients and you know the kind of. Other end of the extreme from just passing the cat off to a friend with the money is a, you know that they have an elderly cat or a group of cats that are living in the house together, and they wanna make sure all these cats can stay together and stay in their home. And you know those types of plans are a little bit more elaborate in the planning that we do and the money that set-aside also increases for that type of thing because you're not just looking at a single animal, you're looking at a group of them and then possibly maintaining a home for them as well. So I have a question, maybe I'm just thinking kind of of the bad things people do, but how do you ensure that say you're gonna leave ten thousand dollars. I'm for the cat. How do you ensure that someone isn't going to say, euthanize your cat and pocket the money? I, you know, just thinking bad things happen. Yeah, that's a great question. And that's really where you're getting a lot of benefit out of the truss structure. When you do this through a an animal care trust as they're often called you have the money set. Aside in the trust, your trustee is overseeing everything. Just as they are with your other items of property and your other accounts, and the caretaker is who's actually taking care of animal. So the, there's a check and balance system in place to make sure that the caretaker isn't doing anything. As you suggested euthanizing the animal just pocketing money. There's a trustee in place to kind of oversee everything. Just like there would be with a child and you're leaving money to the child and the child's guardian obviously want to make sure that that money is used for the child or for the animal. And that's what the trustees job is in there actually under a fiduciary duty, which is one of the highest duties of loyalty that you can have under the law to make sure that all trust funds entrust goals are met and if they're not, they can face a tremendous amount of liability. And so most trustees are very conservative and make sure that things are being followed to the letter. Go ahead. Sorry, I was her getting back to Lille Helmsley.
