"Bill writer and people can't stop listening. Radio host. Reality is that right and wrong. This here on the radio writer than you with Bill writer what's up with eight five five two one two four CBS or sports writers porch. REI TR Bernie Kish were trying to writer thought man writer. I liked the Reuter couldn't agree with you more about the Browns. And the cream hunt move not to take the wind out of the sales of your now g but wouldn't your contract really keep you from working in radio elsewhere, but also paid no actually I've known people who have been fired for cause. Why are they I don't know? But my radio contract, but I know that my television contract with CBS sports has a stipulation about a morality clause. And this wasn't true at other place. I worked and specifically says drinking and driving if I drink and drive. I am fired or at least in my contract. They can fire me is not even can fight. It's not right. It's just you're gone. So Angie your question. No. They can void the contract for. For me and not pay me if I violate a morality clause, which CBS in particular takes pretty seriously. Part of the and again, I've worked I love the place. I've worked before at least in the radio business, but you know, CBS is very particular about that. So no I'd be out, and I would not be able to collect any money. And there's a chance that I still the no non compete would still apply, but in that scenario? No one would hire me. All right. Eight five five two one two four CBS eight five five two one two four CBS. We have full lines. We're going to get through these calls talking about Kareem hunt. And then started about twenty minutes. We'll probably transition to some other topics some other things going on. But I do want to give you a chance to to give your perspective. And appreciate all of you. Whatever your view calling him Tony in Vegas. Thank you. For listening to buddy, you're on CBS sports radio. Hey, Bill big fan relatively new listener. You're the best sports show on the radio. Thanks, man. You're very welcome. I told your screener pulled stew from bay. I'm in Vegas. I'm originally from rookie. So I'll white long Browns fan. What did the same icicles Bernie Kosar in response to the caller who mentioned Staples? You've taken some of the wind out of my sails by going over this. All righty. But absolutely has the right to go to work at Staples. If he wants to have no problem with that at all. Well, let's face it, the NFL's a high profile occupation. You don't have a right to be there. It's a privilege for good or bad kids. Look up to these people people emulate, these people we wear their jerseys. I haven't decided what I'm gonna do with the Browns fan yet. I want to choose my words carefully. I want to think this through. But my first washers. I don't think I could watch them. I don't think I go watch them as long as he's on the team. Briefer? I'll tell you really quickly previous job. I had I was travelling the country. We're we're in rental cars with the company paid for. I was in a small accident with a company rental car in the snow back in Ohio. Actually, I was under the influence of alcohol. I have a lifetime ban from that rental company. They will never read me a car again. Now, my employer decided I was valuable enough to keep around. Nobody was hurt. It was property damage. And even the police report indicated that the weather was the primary factor. I was barely over the limit. But that doesn't matter they got their rules. They were able to ban me for life running a car from them or either way the world works. Not everybody gets a second chance. I don't think he deserves a second chance if he wants to go work at Staples or Office Depot or WalMart, anywhere. He wants to go work. He's walking. Tony. Thanks for the call, man. There are consequences as a guy who worked at WalMart. I did for a long time. There's nothing wrong with that. He's just not gonna make the income that he's making obviously in the National Football League. There are consequences. That's a great call. And thank you for. The kind words there are consequences for behavior. And they should matter. Now. If you don't wanna apply them to cream hunt. Fine. That's fine. I don't agree with you. That's fine. But please let's all try not to insult one another's intelligence is by saying what he did isn't a problem. That's not true. You can't tell them. You can't work there. Inaccurate. It's a privilege as we just heard. If you think you should be a part of the team that you can think that obviously not only can you think that of course, you can you can say that here on the show, but I would love to hear why. And maybe the simple as it's a competitive business. He's talented. He's worth whatever blowback there is or moral shortcomings. You know, we've seen across the spectrum of American companies and businesses. Some ugly behavior revealed in the last few years, and the commonality in some of those things is that the folks that are being exposed are massively talented because people who did similar behavior that weren't that talented or weren't that valuable fired for that behavior. I understand that talent equals opportunity in this casing talented equals opportunity. This this guy has not deserved. There's not heard, Dan, Wisconsin. Thank you for listening. You're on CBS sports radio. Hey, considering the misogynistic admitted sexual assaulter of women idiot in the Oval Office. It's not surprising that Corinne was offered a contract. However, I think that the NFL who has a huge problem with violence against women. And we only tend to hear about those that happened to be videotaped. They need to meet out a punishment fits the crime. You don't need a couple of months of counseling. They need fifty two weeks of counseling they need a sign of ten percent of their salary going straight to a women's shelter in the city that they committed the climate. I don't hate that. Dan. I don't wanna thank you for the call. I don't want to vote on the rabbit hole of arguing politics. Oh about to defend the president here, but a hard balls, but I'll say this. And I don't wanna get into politics. Many of you support the president many of you don't respect each of your right to have the perspect-. You have the difference being the president won election. Right. He wanted election with that information out there. If your point is there's a lot of massage in the world, people don't care. I agree but alive on this show care I care, but beyond that. The guy attacked women camera. It's a violent act woman or otherwise, by the way, it's a violent act. And there there should be some co we should there be we should demand. It. You and I should demand some standards here. Browns fan. I get it. It's wrong. But I'd get it. I've seen this store thousand times guy. Does something wrong everyone's against him until unless it's their team. I really don't get those of you who aren't Browns fans saying this is fine. I don't understand it. I understand it..

"Sports radio. Hey, bill. I'm a Seahawks fan and a giant fan of the bell. I'm going to be watching is the NFL's version of wrestlemainia got predetermined winners reps. And look the other way and commissioning has nothing to say, you know, I'm Bobby watching it with a heavy heart. Every time. I see the Rams did not supposed to be there. Let's go to be going through my mind. Written all over it. It's really sad. It really is a good team. But they wanted to Tina was supposed to be there. Thank you. Tony. Thank you. I can't I can't get there. But I understand those who can I do not believe the NFL would jeopardize its place atop American sports by setting something up. But if you're so inclined to believe that it is a really good outcome for the NFL as much as we wanna see Brees and Brady, Los Angeles, and the NFL was not a guaranteed success story. And the fact that Rams made it as a game changer. The NFL went from being unlikely uncertain to make it, and I told you that was true. 'cause I lived there we in LA people on last last year who said it may not take hold may not take root son of a, you know, it's hard to break into LA, and the fact that Los Angeles and the Rams are the Super Bowl is a is a game changer because the entire NFL ownership group. They all believed that the NFL making it L A. Is a huge rise in the value of all their properties. Huge win for the NFL. Los Angeles is also the second biggest market in America. After New York. People are going to watch the game there in LA. I don't think it's fixed. But I understand your. I do I understand your perspective. I think it was a terrible call, and I think it's really really good fortune for the National Football League. Now put a big ratings big numbers. I'm speaking of the number on TV on CBS. I hope everybody watches it on CBS Super Bowl fifty three a week from Sunday. I'm saying the long term beneficial economic branding results the consequences in a good way for the entire league. That Los Angeles is NFL re experiment reinvent. You're just got minted with a Super Bowl appearance, and maybe a win, Dan, Wisconsin. Thank you. For listening, buddy. You're on CBS sports radio. Yeah. Thanks for taking the call. Just wondering why Manny Machado and Bryce Harper's agents. Don't tender an offer to some team out there just to see where they stand. Thanks for the call. So things bores is a machine an animal and wants to drive the price up, and he has been always historically great at doing that remarkable presentations he brings in and playing hard ball. And now you've got a we saw this last year in spring training. In fact, you talk about collusion and conspiracy. A lot of people believe a lot of people around baseball on the fan side and the unions. I believe that the owners are colluding to drive prices down by basically not signing guys early in the free agency period to create pressure on their agents, and that's happening here too. And then there are other. No, you just have organizations becoming more responsible and the dodgers are one of many examples. The dodgers a few years ago. I one of the highest payrolls and baseball baseball history. They did have the highest payroll in baseball history. And they brought in Andrew freidan from Tampa Bay in part. I mean, they wanna. Him to win the World Series. Obviously in the front office, president of operations on the baseball side, the basically GM plus but the other mandate was get the salary town. And he's done that Friedman has been able to bring down the cost of salaries the dodgers while obviously maintaining their ability to dominate the NFL west. So I think what's going on is that you have this influx of situations and facts and realities and a change in the game and unless spending by clubs that is driving the price down. Nobody likes that Scott Boris least of all. So I wouldn't be surprised if is trust me doing everything he can to get a contract for his guys. Remember who what was the JD Martinez? Last was that last year the guy was on the market forever. Is the only gonna sign him. And I remember people that I know who cover baseball for a living just speculating, dad. No knowledge is like man something wrong with them. Did he hurt himself? No. He just the price resigned in the game of change and finally silent Boston and had a ridiculous ridiculous year. So I think prices are getting driven down. And there's an argument baseball is that happening because the the market is demanding that that's just the way the market is working itself out or are the owners some people would tell you on the players side being a little various and how they're going about behind the scenes creating this situation. I I don't have the answer. But certainly things have changed in terms of the immediacy of big contracts, and those contracts being really really large Ryan in Anchorage, Alaska. You can't just go back to one point. And I just think one needs to just put this to bed move on enjoys a Super Bowl or no one's ever going football. And they're just going to be stuck up on one floor. Yeah. I think that's the right. If you're a saints fan, you can hold onto this fear for the rest of your life. That's part of being a fan. But if you're a fan somewhere else, I think probably the better part of valour here is a fan just to accept that. It is what it is. I say this all the time life ain't fair that applies a sports then you move on. Then that's just that's just the deal. Ask raiders fans tuck rule. I mean, just it. It happens. It happens. "Tony. Thanks, Dan, Wisconsin, ongoing situation down here with the UC coaches as well pre-game finding out that Blake Barnett is not going to be the starting quarterback. What blakemore net possess was the ability to make them a two dimensional offense. He was good enough in the passing game to keep their running game. Going look for judgments now for that bearcat. Defense especially in the secondary or your head to respect the pass a little bit more with Mike Barnett now that he's out look for the Bearcats to load the box early. Stop the running game and force keen to make some passes and at least show that he can do that before the Bearcats get back into that zone defense. All right. Tony hope you're bundled up on the sideline tonight. It is going to be a cold night here in Cincinnati. The current temperature is thirty one degrees. The coldest kickoff temperature in US history. "Really good sales on everything Christmas is kind of a preview. Open houses are all about data a lot of fun and good people. Yes. It'd be a lot of fun. And like, you said artificial amount of people that didn't know that they were allergic to cut trees until they finally went to the doctor and said, you know, what is wrong with me. And they say, well, you're largest to cut trees and not only parents but kids also so it seems like we're, you know, every year says that we sell more artificial trees than we did the previous year. And of course, it is convenient easy. So. You don't have to go do all that fun stuff with your family. Okay. Apple cider and listen to Christmas music and pick out a Christmas. Tree. You didn't go. Take a moment and do that. You're exactly right. But anyway. But we you know, what was really cool as I like that Christmas tree that has all those many lights on it the tiny lights. Oh, yeah. I really like it. And like my slight or snake? Little bitty looks like a grain of rice. But they're so pretty. So good and y'all sell those right? We do a getting to be tempted to do that. Because you could dress up a sad tree with with those nice lie. But it is always a lot of fun. You know, we do this once a year in like said this weekend is the Saturday and Sunday the Christmas open house had Dan, Wisconsin, Senator data. So you're everybody's invited including you, my dear. It's know a bet they don't know that you'll have tons of Christmas ornaments old style. Old old world. Santa's and Nativity scenes and theme no is just everything to do with Christmas. And that's what I'm saying in Canada. And at the same time on the on our side, you know, we're still selling pains as we got what three hundred flats in yesterday morning, beautiful blooming pansies, and we're we're selling tone album yesterday. So yeah, people are just now with these cooler temperatures a lot of people are just now in thinking about putting their fall color in. I know I've been a slightly worried that I'm not gonna have enough pains to choose from to finish out some of the things. And of course, people are now feeling like they wanna do the pansies. So yeah, there's that. And also saw paper wides Morillas are coming in. And the paper wise to the ones that smell wonderful and some people say who I beg to differ. The well, I love him this same thing with lilies. Let people don't like the way the lillies male beta the paper, white narcissus an umbrella, those of the two bulbs that are so easy. All you gotta do is just add water, and they do their thing. They'll bloom. Side for you. But as far as the bulbs go outside, usually as you know, vadis around thanksgiving that most people plant there. Spring bulbs. You know, whether it's the daffodils the crocus, the tulips and so forth. But I'm telling you guys is they're great in there so easy. And they always talk about this. There's not a better look than having a bunch of real pretty tulips come up in your pansy beds. You know, just after thanksgiving go out there and push those things in the ground in the pain J beds, guys next spring when they're all blooming together. Not a better combination. I'm telling you it. And I think there's still some pretty good inventory. You know, a lot of things we're talking about for the season like Dan west has their Christmas shop and check because I know that we have listeners just aren't in the inside the two forty of course, all over but checkout, either garden centers four different things for your garden or like, okay, you go into Kroger. And you see the typical Christmas cactus point Saturday. I all that maybe go for the. Experience of going to the garden centers. And it just it does it puts Christmas spirit back into you. But what about the driving in today? They can make it through the fog right in it seems to me on what made me think about this. But it seems to me that I've probably have sold more encores as this year than it seems like I have traditional as as I would after twenty years. I wonder if people are beginning to lean that way. And of course, the earn core is a is that is, you know, those are the ones that bloom in the spring sporadic bloom in the summer, and then another decent bloom in the fall. Right. But to me, it just I'm so old fashioned that it just I don't know it just seems so different than it won the quotas area. Yeah. Surely one an old fashioned azalea. You know that blooms that one time in the spring. We look forward to it. Memphis, the prettiest place on the earth when all the dogwoods and is as blooming out there. And I was thinking, you know, as as that blew more than one time. But I'm telling you. It just seems to me that people are starting to lean in by all the right reasons. Beta that way, right. Well, one thing is now. I'm no you remember when they first came out. Why was that like fifteen? Yeah. And you didn't see him. It took a little just a little bit for people to warm up to him because they think as you were just saying is thought to know there's one is Elliott bust out like crazy in the spring. And then, you know, I'm done if you want to sell this. It's not an to me. So you saw some planet and they look good. And and now every year people's going west that blaming. And so they're everywhere. And I think that might be picking up, but you'll have to remember to go with the other values as well. Oh, sure. Let me, but you know, but my way of thinking was I was so narrow minded yeah. That I wouldn't even give the encores a chance. It's kind of like green ketchup is just not right, right? But I tell you if you think about it is really, right? You know, what is wrong with getting more than one set of blame? They've just grown up with you know, I know it's it's how I remember going. Well, you don't get as many blames as you do. They're just divided up into three times set of all at one time. And I thought well, what has that bad to exactly progresses? You just kind of get that that it's funny. You don't want to change it just want it to be like, that's exactly what it is. And if you do plan encores as the ones that do blue more than one time guys or anything else that you plant this year. Good drainage is the key. But also the encores they need a little more sun than your traditional is is because they do blue more than one time. Right. So they need a little more, son. In fact, I've seen people plant encores and blazing full sun data now not saying that's the best spot forum. They'll grow there, but where they get a little more. So whether it's in a container weather the bed. I'm really starting to warm up on some of these uncles and every year, it seems like they'll come out with a new varieties. And there are so many different colors out there now and so many different heights. It's that it's just something. You know, just think about was wondering a quick is the only colors I see in the fall majority are the orange red ones and the Royal purple lavender. And then I say there's still there's whites and pinks and two-tone lots of other ones that I don't really notice in the fall. And I'm thinking, we'll possibly those two were like the first those were two of the first colors. I believe that had come out so possibly the cause I'm thinking of having been Hubbard is so much right? Right. I'm going they want somebody wants an Israeli to blame in the fall. And they want like a light peak while there is one. But I haven't actually seen it happen. So it's hard. I just a media think of the purple and the oranges. I guess that's because we plant it so much, but I need to start watching. The other have always talked about, you know, trying to get the right plan. For the right spot. Made the comment while ago about you know, wet a soul how detrimental it can be to let's say or providers, and then you made the comment that if you don't water if you let them get to dry, you know, the same thing is going to happen. But it seems like a a lot of distill Liam data be implanted. You know, where we used to plan auto Luke laurels, right and same thing with auto Lukens. You know, they just took a beating last year and this year because it was so wet they won't tolerate wet feet at all even though I love them. You know, I'm scared album as far as truly, but but you also see some embiid's would have been there forever. And they look great. So you know, that they've got good drainage, right, which we're not all blessed with good drainage. But there is that Trump called distill Liam that to me really is a good replacement for auto, Luke and Laura so just write that one down. Also, keep that in mind real pretty evergreen. I saw some even down in Florida a couple of weeks ago that looked great down there. So and it made me think. These are big hob condos whatever they don't want a lot of maintenance out there either as far as their landscapes go. So they do try to pick shrubs later like homeowners. Do that are going to give you a little of a problem as possible, right, right? Yeah. That's what I like to plant to I won't people have success the distill LIAM's. Also, another name vintage Jade, but it I well that's a variety. I think advantage might have been the first one come out. Yes. And so at fire Salata peo- is telling people to look it up, and they kept coming up with the Jade plant that grows indoors. Lately. Different. I'll say you can look up. You can of course, look for distilling them. Foot in like, there's a cinnamon girl, vintage Jade and thanked linebacker. I mean, there's point of view I'm out there. Now. Check them all out because they have different heights different techs are no different flavors, basically. And I have been using them a lot. I I saw botanic garden and after you see seeing there, then I believe they're five started using them. Every you don't have to mention this to us talking to a gentleman the other day, and I'll show him some two things have winter green box board and some baby boxwood, and he was like, well, I thought box was only grow in the shade. And you know, the old fashioned boxwoods made that we grew up with more of a high shade or shade type plant American boxwood. Right. You could you don't want to put those out in force on a day turned yellow and bronze and everything else were there are so many hybrid boxwoods on the market. Now has you know, and they can take full blaesing's. In fact, they need more sun than shade. And he was just baffled. They were boxwoods out there that would grow in full sun. I can totally understand his. When I did learn when I was in Texas work in garden centers. There we use the winter green box would which hardy full hot sun, demand destructible..

Well, I have a two two questions through things I need help with just one. I have a gardenia Bush faces east. Oh that has has bloomed in a couple of years. He's getting taller and puts out new leaves? But no blossoms that was number one. And number two. I have some boxwoods in my backyard. And also, what is it called the trees? The pear trees grow up on their own. I didn't plant them, and they are taking over some of the box would and. Some of the things I have growing in the garden as though they're propagating, I guess all over all over my yard. So I need your help. Okay. Well least starting with the gardenia. I mean, typically the east side is fine. If you're getting good full eastern morning sun on you know, they do need at least half a day son to perform as far as blooming whether it's morning sun afternoon sooner all day, someone so you said Natalie their own the east side are they getting full morning sun. Not not exactly then usually means. No. I mean. Not blooming. There is morning. Sunday comes in. And. But that doesn't seem to help a lot of morning sun. Trees. In the way. But it's still there's still sunlight beaming into my breakfast room, which is. He's just not quite enough though. Yeah. That's the only problem if is growing, and it's healthy looking. I mean, you can have the check Natalie you can bring some soul into Dan, Wisconsin Senator, and we can do a free PHD's for you. Make sure that soul is acidic. But I really think more than anything. Honestly, a regardless of what you do as far as H and feeding and so forth. If you don't if you don't get enough sun. It's just never going to bloom, and I really think that's the underlying problem. What I think I would do just to see if we can get a few blooms offer don't trim it. Leave it alone until about June next year but early in the spring put your good heavy dose of super phosphate on it like a zero forty six zero no nitrogen, just phosphorus. And and let's see if we can shock it into producing a few flowers. Oh that sounds great. We can do that. We do that sometimes with dogwoods and wisteria is that are growing, they're young and healthy. They don't need to reproduce. And so they don't flower. So sometimes we can put a little super phosphate on them in shock them into flowering doesn't hurt the plan. But. I think they're they need to set. Fires. What about the ornamental payers are the the native payers that are coming up in her around her boxwoods? I mean, typically I would say go out there and get a brush killer in selectively spray the payers to kill the payer in the route. And all, but you got to be extremely careful using a brush killer in a bed this got desirable plants boxwood. So if that's the case, I think you got two choices Natalie. To try to get somebody to dig him up. That's always an option trying to dig them up rooting all get rid of him. Or if that was going to use a herbicide, I would go with the round up instead of the brush killer. The reason I say that is round up if you need roundup gets into the soil is not going to Leach out in hurt anything because his mostly it's just activated. Once it hits the soul. So you can go in there and selectively spray the foliage of these little payers and not have to worry about killing or hurting the boxwoods with residual wash or anything. But if they've got some sisal, you know, if you've got a trunk, you know, that's pencil size or larger what you might do is just cut it off as close to the ground and take full strength brush killer. Just pour some of the Cup and take a paintbrush and just paint. It you're not putting enough chemical on it that when it gets down. The route that's gonna affect any of the other plants, and it will take that way. If you don't you don't have to disrupt the root system we've box. What's if there's got some size on them if they're just savings. I'd do what what can says you're just so hundred going there and spray with round up, you know, because it's is long as you. Don't get it on something green. It ain't gonna hurt anything. But a brush killer, though, Natalie is a better product for Woody type plants like these, you know, these native trees that are coming up. I'd rather use a brush killer. But you just want to be extremely careful using around other desirable plans. That's all. I'll be coming into Dan west sometime next week and take care of everything. Ensure appreciate all advice. Thanks for listening. Nearly thanks now. He'd always appreciate the phone call deer. And. Yeah, we'll see you when you come into Dan, Wisconsin, Senator, oh, we got Mr Paul, and we got Bobby Mr Powell, and we'll put you on hold for just a second. We're trying to go to Bobby. It looks like we got about four more minutes before we go to the break. Bobby good morning till you, you're in the garden. Yeah. Hi transplanting biscuits. Now is this a hardy biscuit or a tropical hod discus? That is financed by. Okay. All right. We'll try to answer that question. It sounds like it's still a Trump. Yes. Yeah. I mean by that Bobby a tropical had this is a hard biscuits that you typically buy in the spring, good color yellows oranges. Big Blue's blooms all the time for you. But it's one of those type of plants where if you leave it outside in the winter. Of course, it's not gonna come back. It's not gonna make it through our winters is a tropical plant. So typically speaking whether it's in the ground or pits in the pot. It needs to come inside in a protected area before it gets really cold this winter, and they might look horrible. When you bring it inside. They may drop every leaf they have. But if you're keeping it alive, you have a chance of it to flush back out next spring now the hardy how biscuits, Jim, you know, those are the ones you can plant in the ground up as a shrub they have beautiful blooms all over them or a long blooming season. They Odom back in the winter. But they'll come back every year. Let me tell you that. If you don't have a greenhouse it's awfully hard to keep a tropical looking good. It's going to drop all of its lease. And if you bring it back out next spring implanted it didn't go look pretty till about the first of August. It's. Better just to let the dying by one it, really. It reminds me of when I was cutting my mother's backyard. I'm told this story before I'm cutting my mother's backyard in the summer, right? And I look over to my left, and there's a point Seta in a pot outside in a flower bed points that a GM so she had used the point set during Christmas and capital live and taking an outside without her. No one, and I took that point set out of the pot and not through it directly into the trash can because every time I would walk past this point center, a cloud of white fly away from this point said, and I'm thinking she doesn't need this. First of all, I just a green points at about this time, it's leg is it can be it's a white Flach rap magnet into this day. You know, she never asked me about. Hey, did you throw them up on set away? And but I had my answer rated, Jim. I was gonna say well mom, I did you favor, and he just got cut out of the wheel. Oh. Healthy. She's not listening. But you're right. I mean, people do because tropicals as such beautiful plants gym people do want to try to.

"Guys like Marco Gonzalez and then Wade LeBlanc I've done a decent job but you know Japan is the only kind. Of good really good talent in the rotation they've played pretty well until the last. Few weeks, and Oakland's amazing story and Seattle, but Seattle I want to root for Oakland but then I feel bad because the Mariners fans have. The longest drought of anybody in the, playoffs, so I'm kind of hoping that Oakland Seattle. Both make the playoffs and the Yankees don't but I think, there's no way that's going to happen A, Yankees, are five games up on the Mariners and. Six up on it's really it's that's it there's only Six teams will five spots in. The American League. Everybody else. Has done Nobody, else has got the Tampa Bay's two games over five. Hundred game over but You know everybody else's. At least eight games out of a playoff spot Minnesota's eight out in the, central Tampa Bay in the angels right and half nine out, of the, wild card so, every finished. And all those teams have started making moves the Orioles traded players the. Royals the White Sox the Rangers The, Blue Jays The, twins the twins have the angels, trademark Maltin obviously. The raise up I'm. Trying to think I think the Tigers have the Tigers traded anybody trying to think of the only team out of it and the American League that hasn't made the trade or much just not. Thinking, of it yeah I don't think they've made a trade Now they have and they're the. Only team that's out of it in the American. League that has not made a, deal now, they don't, have I don't know that they have much to. Trade but they got. A couple of guys in that bullpen it could be interesting Michael Fulmer probably won't get traded on nNcholas cost the annals could would be an interesting guy I don't know if they want to. Trade, him Leona Martine could be some guys Ozzie glazes even So I don't not sure what. They're gonna do Chief, set let's see, we've got a couple of tweets regular Ed? Says what's your view on position players. Pitching thought it'd be amusing what's happening too often they're. Only pitching for the most part with blowout. Games I think it's fun. Once in a while it doesn't really, bother me you know if the blowout smart. Move Chief says yo bowl. What trade move should the as make I. Mean if I were the. As I try to get a pitcher I. Think you, know you never know like I understand that best case scenario They get a one game, wild card? And you, gotta play Luis Severino in the. Anki and you know who knows I mean the. Only six games, back Houston I'll. Be stunned beyond belief, if they catch. Him but I mean you never know But, if gamma Oakland They need, a picture, they they you know. If you, really want I. Mean I don't know You know you want. To try, to go big If I'm if I'm the as. Like your, lineup jet Lowry's had a good year Match happens having a decent year Scott he's. Been on the line is good Chris Davis is like one of, the more underrated players is big big slugger Matt Olsen. Get. Hit some home they got a good lineup there bullpens really good they bolstered it by getting familiar. To go with Blake Trianon has done. A great job is closer there and Trevino's really well out of, the pan Their starting pitching frankly I don't know how they've done it I mean they've got Sean Mnaya, is the one guy, that they've developed and he's pitched well he's been been good but. The. Rest of it's been like a mishmash of like some okay young guys and some veterans who you're helping the. Best, like Trevor k. hill and Brett Anderson But is really the only reliable thing in that. Rotation. I if the as want to really be contenders they got to try to get another pitcher And I know this would be like, if I'm the as I'm thinking big like I'm I'm. Seeing, I know these guys are unlikely traded but, I'm talking to the Mets about Jacob degrom I don't think that's likely to happen But like all of, a sudden you got Jacob degrom. Well maybe now you beat the keys A better shot it's one baseball. Game you never know plus Jacob degrom is going to be, there for the next few years if I'm the as I, don't go crazy on a rental But, year Jacob degrom I think that's unlikely but you know some of. These the Orioles Dylan Bundy could be interesting guy for them I, think it's a, great story. Good for the as man I like it A. Dan Wisconsin next up CBS. Sports radio Dan Hi how you doing good Dan what's up, man I just wanted to chime in with a couple of. Thoughts on the Mike moussaka seal that whole walk you made one on what they gave up to get him. And two with what it does to the defense my initial thought being, a Milwaukee fan was a little bit of confusion which is. Kind of a couple of things you've touched on, I think it was bad a little while, ago but as I'm thinking about this little bit what, they gave, up to get him Phillips and Lopez Philip says no clean pass to the big leagues with. The acquisition of cannon yelich in the off season so even, though he, spent time with the big league team this season I don't see him as as being a consistent slot on the team coming up and Lopez stock has fallen quite. A bit the, last couple of seasons as well even though. Again he spent time on the big league club so I think that is one positive about the deal is that they didn't give up pieces that that will. Be a huge consistent help to them down lie while, I, agree with you while I agree with you Dan that Brett. Phillips was a piece. That. Made sense to? Trade. I, am one hundred Percents agreement if I were them I wouldn't. Have used him in a trade for a rental that, takes, one of my best players and put them in a position. That he's never played That's Problem I don't have a problem with, them trading. Him it's what they traded him for Travis. Shaw He's, never played. Second base ever not even in the minors Yeah absolutely and that's that's one, thing too that again I'm a little confused about this deal but what I will say, on that too is when when walk you hit a skit I think they lost nine of. Eleven a couple of weeks. Ago to close out. The half the defense was just awful it was absolutely awful and so I don't know that this move is is. Going to damage what has been bad in the middle field but. What you do get is an additional bad in the lineup. And I think Milwaukee's philosophy as they wanna outslog about defense Able to do at home in that stadium by Allah games. Is yet to be seen. So Dan I gotta. I gotta go but predate the call more on that more on the trade front what else has come and we'll. Get to the hall of fame inductions and more coming up but. First it's time for the latest sports update here's Jacob Wilkins Sports flash hey Bill.
