"Amerada. Keanu is that good hits the backhand with ease when she has time to set on the forehand lookout can change directions off both wings is fluid out of her. Corners is a reluctant but competent. Volleyer more than fine. She just the way. She springs her legs into the serve. The way she keeps her back swings condensed on the return of serve. She can do it all and so again when we look at this matchup for rod kanye moving forward in the final against leyla fernandez. Two players playing with house money. And i posited this theory and this worming to end the show. Because i gotta go do some knoxville stuff. So i do apologize again for the lack of complete Analysis like we've had on some of her past recaps but it's interesting to note you know the players ages twenty two to twenty eight. They grew up watching caroline. Wozniacki reach world number one but just take lump after lump in the grand slams and just you know again have to deal with the pressure and the narrative of the pressure over and over again until she broke through. Same deal with simona hal. Made what three four grand slam finals before. She was able to capture her first title. And you just see you know. Repeatedly players like please give who in her prime and was at the top of the game win so many of these players were watching the sport closely sheesh struggled with the pressures and i think too you know. The players sap lincoln older the benches of the world that socrates of the world. They think they're supposed to struggle with the pressures and they put this additional pressure on themselves because they say well. That's what the orcs always been. That's always been the narrative and while. I'm less certain of that. Half of my theory theory when i am very certain of is. That's not the case with fernandez. That's not the case with rodney keanu. Would Trump Help or Hurt Larry Elder in California’s Governor Race?

"What do you think would it would trump help or hurt. Larry elder rod. What do you think. Damn i you know. I think trump and a big conservative. But i think he would hurt because newsome is already trying to make a big issue just about trump and and not talk about the issue just kind of like you know. Look over here. Look over here. Guys is rather the issue using. I do think it would hurt. And you know i got it i. I'm sorry to interrupt you. I mean i tend to agree with you. although normally i'd want to see him out there but maybe it would. It would truly be one of those rare times when president trump would be more of a distraction more of a hindrance than a help. Well you know it's just like if you look at the ballot. What gavin put on the ballot. You know he's all trying to invoke trump right had to go to court on that a lot of people don't know that but you know even invoking trump's name but again to your point flip the table and let larry talk about what. Here's joe biden. Look at his failures coming to see another thing. That's what he's doing. He's doing a great job. In that larry has been real consistent and real steady. This this campaign is so smart. And i i have been following this pretty closely. The new york times latest headpiece is is like one of shock and awe. Like oh this could happen. Larry elder could absolutely and because of the way these recall things. Play out if you haven't followed this. All they have to do is get to a fifty percent margin of voters who want to recall gavin newsom and then the top republican challenger is the is the next governor and right. Now that's larry by a mile.

What Is Link Rot?

"What exactly is link. Rot so link. Rod is an umbrella term. For what happens when you're surfing the web and you click on a link and the content that opens up on the other end either is completely gone or it has changed in a way that you weren't expecting a lot of users of the weber familiar with that dreaded four four page not found error and. That's the prime example of link up in a lot of ways it's part of the design of the internet. One of the most powerful things about the web is that it's a place where the most up-to-date information can exist and where content creators can be in control of what they're putting out into the world. It allows people to be constantly improving their websites and changing the way that they have users navigate their websites. There's also things like new internet protocols that happened that changed the way website works which can break links. Sometimes people sell the domains that they manage or they just stop paying them which causes them to go down. There's all sorts of reasons and again it's kind of just a inevitable part of the internet a lot of ways. Our team talks a lot about the dilemma of the internet. Being that like the thing that you want to disappear like that really embarrassing photos that you took in two thousand four is always gonna stick around and be somewhere on the web but the thing that you actually need is going to be lost forever

I'm planning on wearing friday travis k. Provided it matches. I'll get peyton peyton and lanes inside on this saturday. I'm bringing all the all the flames. Do i have a so peyton. I've had a relationship with him for a long time. And the reason i have the relationship is a laney's college roommates works for that company. i would say they. You have usually vision for kind of what you're thinking in that vision it comes to light with. I've seen those jackets a post person and the stitching and the inside lining and all the different designs. They really do crush. It is meticulous. They it's it's meticulous the way that they like they know me so i mean not only do. I have a relationship with the company based on wearing their suits. But but it's so much more than that again. Emily turner who works for lane is one laney's college roommates original college roommates and a and a few years back. They wanted to do a line and they asked me just for some different. Inspirations in my life things that really mattered to me and it was things like the fact that my grandfather was the preacher man in patents third army. It was the fact that My lineage created jack. Daniel's tennessee whiskey all those things and they created the suits they built the suit designed the suits around. Whatever those inspirations were. And i just went when i got the line when it was sent to me i was blown away. I was like this is crazy. How beautiful and like just right on the target they were with what was in my mind and just really grateful for them and their belief in me and friendship with our friends of mine family to me. "Let's start here. John like for people that have been following the timber sale. The name alex rodriguez kinda came out of nowhere to take us through kind of where this offer came from. And what you know about a rod getting involved. Yeah i'll tell you chris. I've been following this timber. Wolves sale for years. Glenn taylor's been looking for a successor for a long long time and even for me. It came out of nowhere. So really you know. He has had several occasions over the last five six years where he sort of flirted with other possible groups to come in and take things over eventually from him could never get a deal done or agreement or an agreement in place and then this just this last week all of a sudden sort of nowhere. Come alex rodriguez and marc lory. They get interested. They tried to buy the mets. Last year didn't quite work out for them. And they got connected to glenn taylor as his search for a successor was dragged on. They got with him and met with him last week. And it with one meeting on on monday and then another meeting on saturday the ball just really got rolling. Very quickly If you guys know glenn taylor all he is a billionaire but he really wants more than anything to have personal connections with the people. He does business with and go up. Alex rodriguez and marc lory. Really kind of did a good job of showing that this was more than just a business transaction to them and i think that he really appreciated that very intimate gatherings this last week to hash things out there. Still some is to be dotted. T's to be crossed there in this negotiating period right now but all of the big things have been agreed upon the price. Keeping the thing in minnesota. All these other things that have happened. So now they're progressing toward really finalizing this thing and everyone's operating under the assumption that it's going to happen so john let's assume that it actually does happen and as i understand it from reading your stuff. It's going to be a couple of years before a rod and his partner are in control. Glenn taylor will slowly hand this off over a couple of years so we may not see the impact immediately. Whatever that impact might be someone. I ask you the impossible question because of course this is just now happening and to my knowledge. No one's even really been able to speak with iran and partner about what they might do. Do we have any sense. Of what a shift in ownership might mean after obviously a very long run by glenn taylor because the franchise has had more bad than good if not for the existence of kevin garnett. It's pretty pretty desolate. And so if there's going to be a new direction charted. Do we have any sense of what that might be. Or what new ownership new energy might do for this franchise. Yeah i think that's that's what it is. It's kind of new. Energy is what has to happen. Here.

"Chicago's city motto is orbs in Horo Latin for city in a garden because of its many beautiful parks nevertheless abundant. Greenery isn't what comes to mind when most people think Chicago something. People do associate with the city corruption in the news media. Chicago style. Machine politics has long served as useful shorthand for bribery voter fraud and all kinds of election. Rigging four of the State's last eleven governors have ended up in prison the University of Illinois at Chicago ranked Chicago as America's most corrupt city. It's also debatably. One of the last cities still running a true political machine to understand why it helps to point to the late nineteenth century across America. New Emigrants arrived in the US and were told to register for political parties precinct. Captains directed them who to vote for in return politicians doled out government work notably in Chicago. Irish immigrants were promised control of the Police Department migrants then especially non-protestants had been shut out of most private sector jobs. The only way to make sure new arrivals got a shot. At the American dream was to provide them with government work. Political machines sprang up in every city to service. Those needs in exchange for power in most of America. Political machines eventually collapsed as their leaders lost elections to reformers from the opposition party but not in Chicago. The city really only has one party. Chicago's last Republican Mayor Left Office in. Nineteen thirty one ever since it's been one big democratic machine even though the state of Illinois has had numerous Republican governors in the interim that's the environment in which rod are Blagojevich. Cut His teeth in politics by the way that initial doesn't stand for anything. Blog has no legal middle name but uses are to honor his father Rod Blagojevich Rod born in Chicago on December tenth. Nineteen fifty six was proud of his father's Serbian heritage. But he was even more proud to be American. As a child he fell in love with Elvis Presley. The King of rock and roll he watched Elvis's performances on TV learning to sing all his idol songs. He could even mimic his body. Language that swagger would later serve him. Well in politics part diehard Elvis Fan Parts Sports jock young Rod Sprang into working as a shoeshine boy with a prodigious memory. At an early age he learned to memorize long lists pretty soon. He was using that same method to remember everyone he met. But Alas while Rod had some unique gifts he wasn't born a genius after graduating from High School in nineteen seventy five with lousy grades and test scores. He headed off to the University of Tampa. Currently Tampa is ranked by Forbes as the four hundred thirty third best university in the United States two years at Tampa was all it took for Rod to buckle down and improve his. Gpa In one thousand nine hundred seventy seven at age twenty he was able to transfer to Chicago's esteemed not Western University. Rod Hope to stay home in Illinois for good when he first moved back though. Rod didn't even know ward. He voted in. Chicago is divided into fifty wards each represented on the city council by its own official. These aldermen are similar to city council members but are more numerous and cover smaller districts each acts with pseudo mural power. They're often known for doing favors for constituents this once boring and complicated system now appeal to Rod. He started getting seriously interested in Chicago politics. His interest began as many things. In the world of political scandals do with Alexander Hamilton. Rod was infatuated with the ideals of the controversial founding father. He even memorized large portions of the federalist papers. Rod opted to major in history and enjoyed debating. His classmates always representing a conservative federalist point of view by the time he graduated in nineteen seventy nine. Rod had a plan to join politics just like his beloved Hamilton but first he wanted to become a lawyer. Northwestern and University of Chicago's law schools both rejected him as he did about as well on his L. Sets as he had on the act's instead he packed his bags for Pepperdine University in Malibu California a creature of habit rod soon fell back to pulling mediocre grades with all the fun of Malibu distracting him from his classes. He was unfocused. He later joked that he studied so little. He barely knew where the law library was. Unlike in Tampa Rod never really got his act together at Pepperdine. His academic merit wasn't carving a strong path for a future lawyer so in one thousand nine hundred eighty two. He tried out another track towards power. Patronage Rod Blagojevich was friendly with Chicago Alderman Edward Vrdoljak who was also a lawyer. When rod came home for the summer between his second and third years of law school his father got him meeting. Rod Left VRDOLJAK's office with a summer job as a Chicago. Leclerc Rod knew. He hadn't really earned what he was being offered yet. He didn't have time to doubt whether or not he should accept. He was just grateful and took time to express it by returning to the Alderman's office the next day just to say thanks after graduating in one thousand nine hundred eighty three rod spent some time in private practice then applied to be an assistant state's attorney for Cook County. He asked a friend's brother for help in getting in the door. Another favor owed but young rod wasn't thinking about how he might have to pay it back. Asa's in Chicago are pretty much. What assistant district attorneys are elsewhere prosecutors in rods case mostly of boring petty crimes that First Year? Nineteen eighty-six Alderman for DOLE EAC s rod to help one of his allies. Who is up for reelection? It was rods first time ever working on a real campaign. All he had to do was canvas. A neighborhood andropov flyers. Rod had a great time talking to voters. It didn't even dim his shine when the candidate lost. If anything rod was inspired to build connections and attend fundraisers one of the people he met was a powerful Alderman Dick Melle Mel a self made millionaire and kingmaker Chicago. Politics was best known for sabotaging. The city's first Black Mayor Harold Washington by blocking funding for WHO's infrastructure plan. One night in one thousand nine hundred eighty eight thirty one year old Rod Blagojevich attended his first event at Mel's house you wouldn't know. He was an aspiring politician though since he spent the entire evening. Talking to the Alderman's twenty three year old daughter Patti attractive will read and recently single. Patty Mel was tied to one of the most powerful political dynasties on the Chicago City Council. She was rods dream woman within a few weeks. They were dating after a few months. They were going steady. Go incidentally so was rods career by the end of the year. Rod was working part time as a staffer for her dad and being paid out of position. That's an Alderman's way of saying he's not officially on payroll but we cobbled together. Some money for a job for him namely rod salary came from four different government bank accounts. Dick Mel didn't mind taking care of his daughters new boyfriend. He even hoped stick around. Did He ever on August Twenty Fifth Nineteen Ninety Rod and Patty Remarried Alderman? Mel was thrilled. And not just on his daughter's behalf see mel did have a son but he just wasn't cut out for politics in Rod Blagojevich. Dick Mel saw political air. He had always wanted so with the wedding in the rear view. Alderman Mel got busy launching his son in laws political career in nineteen ninety two about a redistricting created an open spot in the state legislature conveniently located in Alderman Malls thirty third ward on the northwest side. A seven turn. Incumbent wanted the seat but mel thought thirty five year old rod should have it. Alderman male warned his son in law that the election would be tough but if he beats such a strong incumbent on his first try rod would be making an entrance into politics. That people would notice her. Mel's advice. Rod campaigned hard as a reform candidate. He met practically everyone in the district and used his sterling memory to recall what they cared about. The Chicago Tribune gave him. Its endorsement an important nod of approval in Chicago on Election Day. Rod won in a landslide with a four thousand vote margin among seventeen thousand votes cast. Rod called his mother that night and told her about his win. The elderly. Mrs Blagojevich had just two requests. Promise meal always be honest and promise me you won't take bribes of course Illinois's newest state legislator agreed to both. He had no idea how soon he'd break his word as his burgeoning career leapt forward. That's up next now back to the story on March Seventeenth Nineteen ninety-two rookie politician. Rod Blagojevich was elected to the Illinois. State legislature beatings seven term incumbent. Myron coolest thirty five year old Nagoya Vich ran as a reformer pledging to clean up corruption. But there's always a wink and a nod to that kind of platform and Chicago. Everyone in the city hates corruption.
