"Joel embiid and James Harden led the 76ers to their 5th win in a row, a one 1293 pounding of the wizards, and beads scored 34 points, harden added 18 with 14 assists in the wire to wire win. First of all, we did a really good job of being physical with switching. Limited in one shot and off 13 we expect the floor, draw a penetration, finish around a room, and make over shots. So just beautiful basketball. They sat out the final period with Philadelphia already up by 12. Bill Donahue of the Catholic League Exposes Disney

"Founded the Catholic league and you've been in the media for decades now. Really defending Christian values, defending the judge. I mean, on and on. But you've now made a film. Called Walt's disenchanted kingdom about the nightmare that the Disney empire has become. I've talked about it a lot on this program. But now I get to talk to you, the man who made the film. So tell me, what prompted you to do this? Because I'm grateful that you did. But what got you going to make a film? All right, let me dive right into that, but it was for the broom, a Jesuit who founded the Catholic league in 73. I kind of refounded it when it's falling apart in 93. So I have to give him some credit. The final score for me, Eric, you know, was about a year or so ago when the whole country was talking about desantis and what he was doing, saying, I didn't want kids and kindergarten to third grade, being subjected to all discussions about sexuality and thinking about changing your sex, et cetera. And of course, the American people overwhelmingly on his side, Disney was resolute instead of being agnostic and staying out of it, or if you want to come in, come in on the side of the traditional family values, they came in on the side of those people want to subvert parental control. And I asked Tony Perkins. It's a great evangelical heads of the family research council. If you would join with me in meeting with bob chapek, who at that point was the CEO of Disney, bob Iger's come back in. It was his predecessor and now his successive. And that was back on April the 8th of last year. Since you've met with the LG LGBT people, why not meet some Catholic and a Protestant public figures? They blew us off, of course. And that's when I said to Tony, I said, you know, I can't take this any longer. We really have to expose Disney. And instead of just writing another article or doing another TV show or something like that, I think I really want to do something much stronger than that. And that's when I decided to do the documentary on how this family friendly institution became just the opposite.

Pedro Gonzalez Weighs in on Nikki Haley's 2024 White House Bid

"Gears for a second, Nikki Haley is now running for the presidency. I just want to kind of queue you up here and then you can riff. Let's go to, we got so many Nikki Haley cuts. Let's just pick one that we have not yet played, cut 93, of course, I think the conservative movement is exhausted with identity politics. But maybe not, play cut 92. I have devoted my life to this fight, and I'm just getting started. For a strong America. For a proud America, I am running for president of the United States of America. Pedro she's running your thoughts. Nikki Haley is the dying gasp of the neoconservative establishment to take all of its discredited and awful ideas and basically jam them into a skin suit with a mouth and vocal cords known as Nikki Haley. I mean, it's terrible. She doesn't have an original idea in her head. It's just, you know, it's like she was incubated in a Petri dish beneath Karl rove's home, I really it's difficult to actually put into words how much contempt I have for people like her. Precisely because they claim to be sort of this next generation of leaders, but they're not. They're the dead consensus in the zombified form except wearing high heels. It's really, in some ways it's actually worse. I think I actually have less hatred for like the neocons of yesteryear because they were kind of reacting to some things and they're at least a little bit more intelligent. Again, Nikki Haley really does strike me as just a kind of robot that's been programmed to conduct this kind of suicide mission to save neoconservatism from oblivion, which I think hopefully that's where it's headed for.

"Was spending $21,606 on per people. That was the breakdown of their budget to their students spending. So an average college was about 21,000. Folks, check the numbers. That's just an amazing amount of money. Being spent on students in this level. And it's not just the younger grades that was doing this in the public school system that we had 93% of third through 8th graders also test in below grade level in Maya. You can't tell me this is a money problem. You can't tell me that all Baltimore has to do is go out and spend more money and all of a sudden you're going to get a better product. No, you're not. You got to inherit problem here. And then it comes down to another interesting issue that I say is the leadership in the schools for whatever reason. Has decided seemingly that this is acceptable because if you look at it over the years and the Baltimore school system and you look at the statistics, score changes between 2019 and 2020 and we've seen this all over the country and this is something that we've got to deal with is because of COVID because of the distance learning because of things. Is it myth points and reading points fourth and 8th graders between 2019 and 2022 all failed between 5 and 8 points.

Charlie Welcomes Former Trump Acting Defense Secretary Chris Miller

"Chris, tell us about your book, and then I have a ton of questions to ask you. But first, introduce our audience to your biography and also your book. Yeah, left government on the 1201 and the 20th of January 2021 with no work, no opportunity, worked, I listed in the army in 1983 and I was CDI wide served until 2014 as a green beret and army special forces guy. Then I worked at The Pentagon a bunch more and that president Trump, I really got really focused on defeating Al-Qaeda and president Trump had the same idea. And I worked with a guy named cash Patel, who was also with me on that journey. And we just got really, really obsessed with killing off the rest of Al-Qaeda and defeating them and in that war. And when I left government didn't have a lot of opportunities, I was fortunately given the chance to write this book. And what I wanted to do with the book was make it really accessible. You get these people like the D.C. people and you know him, Charlie, that they write those big phonebook looking things where nobody reads them, you know. They just name, you just name check yourself, right? You're like, hey, then I always name check myself and it's always some snide remark about this unqualified guy, which could nothing could be further from the truth. So I decided I needed to, well, I got the opportunity to put my thoughts down. So I told a lot of war stories from my time in the service in Afghanistan in 2001, Iraq, 2003. And then, you know, basically was part of that war for the remainder of the time. And then talk about my time in working for president Trump. Key takeaways on this thing is I wanted to make it accessible, you know, 7% of our population or veterans, 93% aren't. I want to try to close that gap between, you know, those that serve in those they serve because I saw a lot of confusion. That's not a criticism. It's a great problem to have, right? Charlie, we're not an armed society anymore. So that was the kind of the idea and try to try to communicate in a way that was accessible and light farted in some ways, but serious in others and try to, you know, talk to each other and help bridge this gap between our in our society right now.

I remember Janet Reno was part of what part of the horror of how that unfolded. Unfortunately, in any event, so in a remaining time, what are your, what would you like to talk about? And what should we touch on? Well, one of the things that Heidi and I are very passionate about is passing on to other people education about this topic. We certainly want to do the life coaching. That's our number one goal is to work with people on a one to one basis, helping them to process their religious abuse and their recovery. But we also really look forward to doing more educational kind of opportunities, whether for myself, one of the things that I would love to be doing is specifically to be able to teach a class at a college level or a graduate level, I've got a tentative syllabus. I would have put together and would love to have a 12 or 14 week period, be able to educate college students into a broader picture or broader understanding of what religious abuse and recovery might look like.

You don't even need to play boss's orders. I mean it would it. I will say boss's orders is like a a to of in the stack. I don't think it's necessary. I think it's nice to have for situations but being able to utilize like escape bro. And just be able to take knockouts as you please. Essentially i think that's going to be a bigger threat because people won't expect to be pushed out of the active con constantly a hundred but one hundred for nothing one hundred eighty for three energy with max burst when you could pretty much set this thing up every turn if you're running fluffy like really well. Yeah and it's already going to be a consistent deck because it's to stage ones essentially right right. And but i i just i see a lot of people putting four energy on this thing discarding all four energy doing the attack doing to sixty out a lot of exactly. I think the only one that survives is a whaler v. So i don't know this. Is i see why people are excited for this. I see why they're gonna wanna put it together and you know out of the gate. What's the counter here. There there is none. I thought there was. There was an evolution that stopped lightning abilities. But there's not the there's three evolutions in like the volition say like oh. This is a memory capsule it stops grasp. Oh komo with abilities or fire or water pokemon with abilities..

Oh yeah all these beautiful ladies are like on my payroll and it's played in the movie like he's the astle and that's tonight different and i was like i mean it's funny and like it's a good i think it's an interesting dynamic but on the flip side i was like you can't say that when you were that guy like you were looking so true. I mean it's like then you realize that some of those women who were there were the people working for dom that was so great. It reminded me of in hobson shaw when they go to russia in like crime syndicate house. And it's all just like mom laundry and they're just like we kill people like that was five. That's great well. That's what i was wondering. If part of the syndicate someone said like cardi speak character has to do with some of the people the bandera short film. Oh and i understand boy. So i think it's something tied. Yeah i think it said that she was going to be a recurring so fantastic. Like why not. I mean she she can act. That's more than like the time that they asked us alia like. Oh no and she's embraced. Wars and i was like of all places. Emailer can't be in the race of segment like it's already like yeah and then also did mess unfortunately but for people seeing this movie if you watch their as an an cardiac wentz which i yeah. I forgot do you. Do you know what it is. I not jason say oh yes. Oh okay so spoiler hasn't seen those but what it is. It's like jason so a guys like in a hoodie. He's like beating up like boxing bag. Steve rogers room and the pullback hood and it's like aww jason see them and he unzips the bag and there's a guy inside like it's great but anyway so there's a knock on the door and he's like okay like state energy absorb backup and he goes and it's gone at the door and the last shot is just chasing safe space. Go it's so good I think tan with jason. Save them at. I hope so i was. I was curious whether he is now also on the outs because he was in the movie with The raw the raw. I don i hope not. "Exactly. Exactly i think you'd be good. I think it retains them being like fish out of water and but also has a slight sifi element but like bullied full. They don't have to do too much. I think a halloween movie. Also did they wake yes. Yes that young space. So so they've done this anything. It's the best one out. How do they get back on clear. I mean we're not. I was not sure how they were going to get back down from space in this. Because i was like. I see some ceramic tiles stapled to the bottom of this car. I don't injuries. So i feel like i be smart about it but i was like yet. No i think that would be a fantastic because also kind of retains that like Scrappy like seniors like the underdog thing versus high-tech knock people. Yes and then you'd have really like people who are like like like in their brains and staff and then you have been detail about family. And then imagine he goes to like an expanse type bar and he's like go grown better and then they have like. Oh i got the corona classic. Free know i was even to us. This is such a tangent. But i would like to see the expanse gets there occasionally. I'll take an excuse to talk about the expense. But i would definitely love to see a fast and furious style space opera like experience level technology but like fast and furious level insanity and there is a you know what that might be next. That could be would very much like to see that. Even if it's not this franchise. I would like to see it with franchise but i also think that was like a great idea There is a movie called space sweepers. That's a korean think. It's korean on netflix. That is a little bit like that. It feels like that a little bit. Which is it's really fun Might be show. I don't know anyways. I think that's a if someone wants to pay us for that idea of going to say i. What i see is that there are secret. Space stations that the like governments don't know about but the super rich people have them and they're trying to colonize mars. Oh my ours off. Yeah mars hustle. It's yes i could. I could see it existing in where they're like in space but they're not necessarily like on plants words like bowl sci-fi where they're more dislike. Were they are in the atmosphere in this one. But that's like a whole portion of louis. Yeah and they have to send ludicrous retirees because they say well you guys have already the space. You know what it's like how. How do we fight people in space. No gravity yeah. It'd be a little bit like what happens in seven where tiberius like. Why can make a plan to. And he's like well out of all of us who's actually been dispaced me. Thank you let me. Let me think exactly. They're like aw and then someone says. I knew. Send them to space. They like go off in this big. Yeah now it's it's incredible to see this franchise is build on top of itself into white. Were just like you really think they'd like britain themselves into a corner at some points but they really haven't like there. There's also the bridge moment. The bridge completely collapsing then. Vin diesel makes like this kind of like lasso. He like last us on a self initial rodriguez in a car like off. It's sounding like every time..

"Be helping them if they listen to this podcast. Please share it with them. Please leave a review it as very very helpful. I read all the reviews. I love all of them. I want to people to help newborn christians. I want to help people. That are christians but haven't been close with god or maybe just to give a different perspective or learn something new i just. I want to help people. I want to get this podcast out there so if you could give it a review that would be wonderful and let's get started. We are going to be talking about manifestation so if you guys have been listening to my podcast for a while if you have listened to the first episode compared to now you will know that it is very different. I started this podcast in the new age. So i would talk about a higher power instead of god. I will talk about terror. Cards and i would talk about. Rx achey and runes and meditation and yoga and manifestation. I just want to clarify though when it comes to some of these things meditation. It says in the bible to meditate on the good things joyful things. The things god has given you. So there's meditation where you clear your mind which is not not with. The bible is talking about his actually condemned because nuclear mind that win saying in the devils his little workers can get all up in your head but god says you can meditate on all the things that are joyful and good and loving in great in your life and then when it comes to yoga so this was something i went back and forth with. I have friends or you know different friends. That do yoga and i used to do yoga and then i saw this video. That talks about how he shouldn't do yoga. Because it's a way to worship hindu. God and i talked to my pastor about it and he was like yeah. There's a lot of things in this world that we do and we celebrate and it used to mean something and it doesn't anymore and he's like if you wanna do yoga to take care of your body institure body that's okay but if you're doing yoga to connect to a higher power or god or whatever that's not really how it works So keep that in mind as of right now. I'm not really doing yoga but does keep me having more of an open mind with that being said let's talk manifestation what is manifestation so first of all when i heard of manifesting i hear people all the time in the new age they are like. Oh yeah manifested. This manifested that. I've heard people say like investing isn't a bad thing. It's like when you think about something and then a happens so basically the definition of manifestation is thinking something was happening when it wasn't happening to make it happen and that's how it works so it's kinda like affirmations are a part of manifestation like i am wealthy. I'm rich i am strong. You know all those things I said all those because none of those are true. I mean i'm strong in some ways. I'm not rich..

The NASDAQ is up 1 41 7 13,032, the NASDAQ and The Dow actually is down 54 to a 3 34,088 and the S and P 500 is up. 9 to 4002. Oh, three. His life Market update is brought to you by Anderson University Way around Mine MBA will last a lifetime. I'm Kirk darling on the level on the go and don w Y b C calm. You are back with Mark and Rob and we have an alert alert. Alert. He'll learn he'll learn. Well, It's thanks to Jacob, that we even have this alert. So we've been talking. Of course, I've been freaking out about the rocket. The Chinese rocket that is hurtling towards Earth. Right? Actually, I take that back. It's hurtling around Earth, and it's slowly coming to Earth. We won't know where it's going to land as we mentioned for the past couple days until a few hours before its landing, and so I have been freaking out about this. As you know, there have been people who have been trying to be like, including my husband, who's like calm down. 70% of our earth is covered by water. The chances of hitting water are really, really, really high. And now like 70% right now, according to China, the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wen bin China Says, you guys, It's fine. It's all fine. It's very unlikely that this will cause any harm. China is saying it's unlikely that they're rocket is going to cause any harm China. That's what China says. I feel like we heard this before. Like, I don't know. Like, uh, January February of last year, I feel like we were told it's gonna be fine. Yeah, this virus is no big deal Kelly contained, I think We were told that before, and it didn't work out. Which is weird, because China has a long track record of being a very transparent, honest country that cares about its fellow mankind. Right. And so, yeah, I mean the fact that now just a couple hours ago, Reuters is reporting that the the Foreign Ministry spokesperson is like you guys. It's fine. That makes me even more worried, by the way, so the debris According to China, the debris from this rocket is likely to fall in international waters. I mean, that's fine for them to say that, Based on its current orbit, the trail is likely to fall somewhere as far north as New York, Madrid or Beijing, which I would think would be the best thing ever. If this rocket comes crashing back down on China, I cannot imagine a better outcome honestly and as far south as southern Chile, Wellington, New Zealand or anywhere in between, so basically they have no idea it's gonna fall somewhere. So Carvel and Brown's work or not. That list. I noticed. Well, they're not listed. But they're saying it could be as fall. Oh, I got your you know what I mean? Every place on earth century is included in what could be hit. Yeah, that makes sense. By the way. I'm not just I don't condone violence on this show. As we well know, I would never wish harm upon Chinese people just saying there would be a little bit of I don't know, like delicious irony if it actually hit China, you know what I mean? This is China's fault. Well, if you had the choice of it, hitting you who did nothing. For them. Who put the thing into orbit to begin with again. I come back to Why should you have to suffer? I totally agree. Yesterday. Cori Bush who you may know from such things as being one of the newest members of the squad. I love her name. It's so great. You haven't that the way that I left that. What's her name? Doctor Box? The gynecologist. That's the State health commissioner. Yes. So Cori Bush gave testimony in front of some committee about the plight of high mortality rates. For black moms and their offspring. Okay. She was talking about that. And she got she made some some headlines because of her choice to use the term birthing person instead of Mother birthing person. Yes. Oh, I didn't realize that this was now a thing, but we actually have a compilation of many, many, many, many people. Talking about Mom's in this way, and I thought this was a proposed seeing as how it's Mother's Day weekend. All right, I should say Burning persons weekend. Listen as if going to Mother's Day weekend, let us we commit our efforts and support. To ensure that every birthing person across this nation is in power. When it feels safe. We have not created infrastructure to support birthing people, all pregnant and birthing. People deserve to be treated with love worth. And while blacks should not be a death sentence, help equity for black burning people is attainable. Mothers and babies and black birth and people are important. We desperately need long term fixes. To support the healthcare needs of black women and birthing people. The most marginalized black and indigenous birthing people just systemically shift the way we approach healthcare for burning people of color and respectful of black women and birthing people. The maternal mortality crisis among black birthing people in the United States, black birthing people and everything that's probably fine. What Why are we doing this? Why? Why are we doing this? These are the people in charge of the country. So Titania McGrath, who you know, I follow on Twitter Who love titanium. A graph it, Zach. Actually, a dude who runs this account. It's a complete satire account that it makes fun of stuff like this. Okay, So in response to this titanium, A graph has provided us with a language update. So we just heard, for example, that instead of mother you are now to say burning person, But But Titania also offered these Placements instead of daughter say, offspring with a cervix instead of woman saved bipedal just station in unit. E. I just think these air absolutely perfect, right? I mean, these are perfect. This is how many sharks we've jumped with all the sharks, but the bigger issue is it's accepted. Like nobody calls these people out If somebody should look at them go, you're a psycho. No, right. So many people just get right on board and they started saying the thing you're a psycho. It's called the mother or we also expect Mom like the except mom. Yeah. Just like it's just and why like why? How did this start? What is the thinking behind this? There's but there were like seven trans activists who decided that they were mad and they were loud enough and caused so much commotion that they they they they've made it so that the squeaky ist wheel gets the grease even if there's like just one itty bitty wheel. If it's super squeaky, then Washington reacts, the media reacts. Everybody reacts and immediately Rise to pacify. But why is it that it's only one way on Lee when one side is upset does do they just roll over and do whatever the people want when the conservative side is upset that calm insurrectionist right, like like the double standard on this, Okay, If we're going to just respond, everyone who's upset then fine, but that's not the way it operates. All right. And a great example of that is what we talked about yesterday with the whole Nantucket magazine story on Dave Portnoy, Right, so they put day important way on their cover. They do a piece on him about how he does all the stuff for charity. He's a Nantucket resident, and look at it. Look at him Go right. Like this amazing entrepreneur. He develops this hugely successful company out of nothing. It's a good story. But then people are like, Wait, he said. Something really sex is like 20 years ago on, so I'm mad. So then the magazine releases this giant apology saying, Oh, my gosh, we wouldn't Ever want to offend our readers? Well, what about the readers who are offended that they released that apartment? When did they get? When did they get to have their moment of outrage? When did they get their apology? And he's a news maker. Yeah. They're doing a news piece on him because he's a newsmaker. There's lots of people that I don't like that are in the news all the time. I don't have to talk about right. But I don't think to call the local paper and go. I can't believe you were talking about that person. That's what the news does. Yeah. Talk about people. They're newsmakers, right? And I bet you that Nantucket magazines sold more issues with Dave Portnoy on the cover than they do otherwise. So weird. I know..

"I don't think it's feels as to see the red carpet or war. Celebrities preaching the day us to speak as it used to and i think as that has kind of ebbed away. The telecast is really struggled to kind of find its footing. Replace that feeling of specialness with something other than kind of look how important we are. And i think that's also been something that's turn people off in years past is the self-importance self-indulgence you know anytime you have. An industry rewarding itself by definition. It's somewhat self indulgent. But i think years past. It's been felt a little tone deaf to hear some of the overwrought ways in which the telecast has told us that movies changed the world just has felt increasingly out of step with the world because the things that are changing the world are not the movies. Okay it's real life and death situations taking place in our streets in our communities in our towns that's changing the world war not changing the world you know. The movies isn't the place for that and in the movies have struggled with that and as the movies themselves have changed and the types of movies that are getting made have changed. I think the telecast also has suffered in an attempt to try to speak to the movies that we are watching this. This telecast a lot was made that these are among the least watched movies ever nominated for oscars in many cases and a lot of that is the pandemic. But in a good way i think the the oscars the community that votes for the nominations did a very good job of selecting a pretty wide swath of films across a bunch of different genres. So the telecast in years past. here's the things that people inside the business talk about when they talk about like god. What do to fix this. I'm had occasion to talk with some people who have worked. On the telecast over the let's say within the last five to seven years had worked on a number of the telecasts and one of the things that always comes up is we just don't have the flexibility to alter the categories that are handed out so a lot of lot of stuff gets written about if you were drawing up a list of categories. Today that spoke to today's audience. Would they be the same as the category drop. You know sixty seven years ago to to reward filmmaking at the academy awards probably not. That's the advantage that other sort of newer award shows have had is that they have the ability just to make up the category. So mtv movie awards you know. That was a big thing. Because let's let's do best kiss. Let's do all these other categories that are fun and fund is what people are generally tuning in for when they're tuning in to an award show and awards shows as a thing to think are increasingly favor because as keane phoenix said last night in presenting think the last award the idea of choosing the best to choosing the one best out of these five nominees i think as we learn more about the industry the business the movies the people in the business the people in the movies the actors you realize that it's it's so arbitrary as to be largely unnecessary there is no best doesn't exist right if it speaks to you in a certain way great that might be the thing you loved the best if it speaks to me in a certain way that might be the thing i love the best.

"Been around such longtime would phase of even default about six so we thought was always concerns about one. Major concern about fish therapies. People are whites paranoid about some taken begins and ends and is only daughter game. Templeton's love kids. Their physical discipline issues. Martin so maybe the walked on them and we made progress than maybe the bean something really interesting tailspin still need to be tested in mice and other preclinical models before they can be assessed in humans. It's also not clear yet. What potential side effects there might be harbor. Two dozy strongly believes the tale signs. Could be an important tool to fight. Antibiotic resistance in the future and is planning to start a company following his phd to pursue them further while innovation. The field is essential and ongoing system wide policy level. Changes are required to tackle the threat of antibiotic resistance. Dr run boko tells us about the successful changes that have occurred so far. Well i think there's a few things that have worked pretty well in high income country which has been quite important. Investment in improving the conditions in which animals always be reducing. Stocking densities with first and foremost is more frequent cleaning on the farm. Basically all these action that you can take to reduce the need to use antibiotic in the first place. And i think there's really an opportunity to to help minimum country who are intensifying production. Moving to most factory farming side of coming Detroit to do that in the most sustainable way when it comes to antibiotic utes and so one of suggestion in the paper was to say you know if limited income countries do that step bay well that would benefit everyone around the world and so there's a case to be made even for high income country to help middle income country a great the hygienic standards production because ultimately everyone benefits from the while countries are beginning to try to address the issue of antibiotic resistance. There's still a lot of room for improvement. i think. Tank up if he's have multi even within high income countries level by the consumption animals between country can can vary from one to three sickly. And so i think if high-income countries to encourage low income countries to take certain steps to leave they can do is be exemplary about this and so i think that we we are in no position to advise even encourage. If we don't get a business in order i and the nfl until a few years ago it was quite kid for many country that had booming livestock sector and literal revelation of antibiotics in animal. As long as the united states such a highly consumer it feels like the conversation. A little bit blocks because like. Oh well wine tutoring. And so i think we need in high countries to move in the right direction and then try to provide solutions to other countries that want to follow that track but also tried to recognize that hike companies are actually created the problem of resistance in the first place and that if low income countries offering efforts. Now this is having an impact in the livestock sector. I'm personally opinion that we should support them financially. If they make choices that benefit the whole dossier expands on the challenges of implementing policy level changes. You know interesting. Thing is in a system dow works with their checks and balances. It is easier for to be demented. And i'm really see. There are also link international. Gordon's that united european countries in constant experts to find such about these stunts. But the problem is that when all those policies are made and yet burbach developed countries yankee manager of in developing cultures yet loose ends so it is not meeting cheated meeting no wall street journal. Right mindsets letter. You know professionals there who know what to do. But the problem is always being implementation of this focuses on how to implement is having viable institutions that enabled to ensure that those that i've been settled rights are implemented. that is what we enjoyed. in countries that allow you can see the inching mask hundred billion dollars in product and the able to monitor the progress of the products in the next ten to fifteen years but that a chance at where else in the watch maybe not so an important consideration is the balance of current versus future costs that come with investing in it resistance research and solutions you know either. Moving antibiotic production or making investment in better hygiene standards are likely to result in an increase of cost. Our you know we have tried to confront this increase. It's not a dramatic increase. We estimated between bump three or three percent in a report the but nevertheless this this is probably an increasing cost to change the way we do things but then i would say that we have to look at how we discount shooter because if you want to be rich tomorrow okay. Don't change anything about the way you do things if you want to create a sustainable future it is clear that if we keep using antibiotic effectiveness which is can be seen as a natural resource to go big chicken. That's perhaps not the best choose of such a precious truck that we can use if we want to be able to use it in the future so i think that the idea of business as usual is is by shelton. Might you what i think. It's a bit like climate change. Now they are. No few antibiotic resistance denies effing. Most people are aware of the issue. The question is a bit respond to that. I think there's room for improvement on a collective level while it's obvious that we need drugs. Bits bits like in a admitting that we're going to run out of fossil fuel at some point and some people say we just need to find yours. Avoid i think relying only on the sort of innovation track is too limited view threat to fix. We're going to fix the problem like that. And it's actually quite good good evidence that it's not economically sustainable because every new drug with discover becomes marginally more expensive so i think we need to make way more on the side of conservation of existing drugs trying to do all the efforts we can was stewardship to try to limit the use of good drugs that we already have rather than just focusing on finding new drugs. I think there's been. There's been quite a few interesting conversation about new funding models to find antibiotic and i think this is crucial because we have to acknowledge that antibiotic manufacturers in the current model. Don't make much money and it's how to pay back the investment. So maybe we need to move to different funding models by providing either market entry rewards or or things like extension that are transferable to the drugs. These are all interesting ideas to foster innovation. But whatever can have preserved existing needs to be more present in the conversation. I think think as talked to run boko highlighted one big changegiannis developing new technology in this field is the lack of funding. Dr duffy tells us how the nonprofit car.

"And of course bring value to patients in addition to a number of strategies for treating infections car backs also supporting projects prevent infections with antibiotic resistant bacteria before they happen in the prevention arena. We have vaccine so you're hearing a lot about vaccines for kovic but we are building bacterial vaccines as well. So if you think about again infections whether they're bacterial or viral. Having a way to prevent them from happening in the first place would be great and so you know an example of a vaccine program that we support is focused specifically on a type of bacteria called club seal pneumonia and club sale into monja typically causes respiratory infections. It can also cause bloodstream infections and an area where there's great concern. These days is in something called neonatal sepsis so again babies dying from bloodstream infections. And it's been known lately that a causative agent of those clubs sale and ammonia. And so if you could have a vaccine that would prevent that then. You could certainly have babies. That wouldn't be dying from these of courses particularly challenge in low-middle-income. We also have live via therapeutic microbiome projects we have a couple in portfolio in their. The focus is on typically on decolonization of you. Know the gods of bad bacteria so that in cases where the stomach wall is breached in these leak out than they can get in the bloodstream cause infection and so going in and removing the bad stuff in enhancing. The good stuff. That's what those programs do a mansion. Fayed we have some preventative phages programs. That have a similar tone in terms of decolonization. But we also have a program that's using age as a delivery vehicle to put something into the bacteria many different approaches there. We also have a small molecule program. That's focused on preventing a recurrence difficile infections as well as projects related to treatment and prevention. There's also a lot of ongoing exciting work to better diagnose infections finally in our diagnostics portfolio. We think of that more in a syndrome way so you know where we have diagnostics. That are focused on bloodstream. Infections or lung infections or urinary infections or sexually transmitted diseases and they're the focuses on rapid by bacterial identification. But not just. Oh this is e. coli but also the drug resistance. Unit tastes genotypes there and then also automated susceptibility testing. That would occur in the hospital. And the reason i should say that we doubled down on diagnostics. As part of the portfolio is that it's really for two reasons and one is for the conduct of clinical trials for treatment prevention. I'll give you an example. We have programs in portfolio. That are laser focused on a single pathogen. Okay asked noodle b-actor bomani the concern about that. Pathogen is drug resistance in legality. What people when they get an infection. Don't walk into the emergency room wearing a t shirt that says i haven't asked b-actor infection. Okay but you know if he don't treat them with an antibiotic that is able to cover us new tobacco you know. That's not going to be very good in die but often if the infection is is really life threatening. You don't have two days to wait around to do your typical susceptibility test. So you need something. That's going to be able to address that quickly. So that's where diagnostics is very important to the uptake of our products doctor via shared a diverse and exciting research. Car back supporting some research is also happening. Closer to home at the university of toronto. Two dozy told us more about his exciting work. On tillerson's a molecule naturally produced by some bacteria that they used to fight off competing octavia tillerson's martinez and this initials molecules produced by several bacteria and the unnaturally included lectures cells. So you look into the Genomes sinden including scintilla tillerson plus include included. The actual jim are we think. That's tillerson's are naturally used us waepons to occupational although strains that coexist ecological so we think that because by chills sells about your species strains are also always competes in four neutrons and space and all that's way is limited. They need to compete with each other and seoul. Believe that's tillerson's are what the naturally power they naturally use. Stan neighbors that be. That's much in an interesting thing of tillerson's is that the very specific action on being now spectrum which makes them very excellent condie's targeted for right so even redeemed the bachelor. Concedes there is another differentiation regionals extreme level. Right slow you know. How have the juniors the species we also stream so even within between streets there are differences and tennesseans producer wall. St received been able to cheer auto strings. Are he'll strains that produce them so we think this is one defense that the us from getting get notching after those shared tailfins are specific to a strain of bacteria which makes them great candidates to target certain types of dangerous bacteria. The might be antibiotic-resistant while leaving are healthy bacteria loan such as the bacteria in our gut. So what type of tales. And does he work. On the tillerson's that i will love those produced by Was jainism regionals are as guam.
