If I hadn't met the two of them, there wouldn't be a darcel. The highlight, I think, is exactly that be who you are and as dorsal said that even after decades of performing as ourselves still got butterflies. It's an amazing, amazing thing with performers. Charlie Defines "Woke"

"I wanted to find woke. I want to play this piece of tape. She's a sweet person, Bethany mandel. She should have been more prepared for this. And it looks hard. You get put on the spot unless you host a radio program or a TV show. It's difficult to always have an answer. I mean, I think if she was asked to answer that as an op-ed, she would have done it, but it was she just kind of got a little twisted. Cut 92, Bethany mandel got asked a question by Brianna joy. Who I've debated actually. You guys should find that debate at turning point you say YouTube. Play cut 92, she gets asked the question of what is woke? Would you mind defining well because it's come up a couple times that I just want to make sure I'm on the same page. So, I mean, woke is sort of the idea that. This is going to be one of those moments that goes viral. I mean, woke is something that's very hard to define, and we've spent an entire chapter defining it. It is sort of the understanding that we need to totally reimagine and reduce society in order to create hierarchies of oppression. What bothers me about this clip and it's painful to watch is it makes us conservatives look stupid, okay? It makes as if we don't know what we're talking about because it would say well call the time. So we're going to dive into actually what woke is. Here's the best definition. Call everything systemically unjust until you control it. That's woke. Where does what come from? Woke comes from a particular activist who is wearing stay woke, get woke T-shirt, colloquially that was spread on Twitter, was that guy's name, del Rey or something, where you have now been awoken to all the systemic injustice, almost as if now you have the glasses and you can see the fault lines. You can see the fissures. You have awakened to the injustices. Before you were asleep and now you are awake. That is what the idea of woke means. But woke ism is tyrannical Marxism by another name. That's what it is. It is prioritizing race over merit. It is prioritizing characteristics that mean nothing. It is a full throated, negative campaign against the founding of America, woke ism is a campaign in crusade against people that they think are oppressors and turning people to believe their victims and then have the victims victimize others.

"You know, let me say this about Christians sometimes. I get people giving me pushback and they claim that they're Christians and they're like, well, you always, you name call it Jesus name called in the Bible. It's calling somebody a viper, not a name, not name calling. It's calling somebody a hypocrite, not name calling, is making the declarative statement. I don't even know if that's a word, but it sound good. Making a statement to say, these people will no way into the kingdom of God. Isn't that a judgmental statement? Isn't that harsh to say? But our lord and savior didn't hold back telling the truth about these phonies. Because if he sat there and was passive about his statements against the people who are destroying America or not in our sense, destroying America has since trying to destroy the kingdom of God. And I would argue in our sense as well. Trying to destroy the word of God trying to destroy the kingdom of God. You got to call these people out for who they are. So that the youngsters don't fall to the trap and be deceived. And think that these people are in it for your best interest. They are not. "They tell the things that they tout and they don't believe them. Bernie Sanders is the biggest capitalist in the United States of America. Yet he touts the talk of points of socialism. He wrote a book made millions off of his book. That's capitalism. He could have gave his book away for free. Now, I wrote a book. I know how much it costs for me to write the book to have the editors to pay for the book. Why can't you give it to him for free? And they pay for it cost. If he's, you know, off of socialism because the thing is that some people don't make as much money as others. And so they may not be able to forge a book. So why don't you give it to them for free? I'll give it to everybody can pay the lowest common denominator. Give it to them at cost. Therefore, everybody can afford your book. No, he doesn't. Of course he doesn't. What is equity? That makes no sense relationally when it comes to human interaction. It makes no sense when it comes to, I want to call it, I don't know what the college Newton's force module or formula. I think it's Newton. Somebody helped me if I missed Newton's law of gravity. "All right, let me talk about scamming Sanders. You know, these leftists, they are mentally ill or evil. They fall in one of those categories. Some of them the reason that they talking to act the way they do because they have a mental disability. If you're a type of person that struggles with cognitive dissonance and you can't even perceive reality and you don't even have truth rooted in your arguments and you can't even balance your perspective and agree to disagree with people, you have no basis for your arguments. All you do is operate in an emotion. That is a mental illness. There are some people that had what we call Trump derangement syndrome. People should have been diagnosed and treated for Trump derangement syndrome. And now this woke ology won't derangement syndrome or whatever you want to call it. These people are struggling with a mental illness. I really believe it's a mental illness. They can not, for the life of them, perceive how capitalism is a good thing. "First to the news of Warren Buffett, billionaire famed investor 92 years old now, no spring chicken. He's seen her thing or two, while he has a very stark warning on inflation. He wrote in his annual newsletter to Berkshire Hathaway shareholders that fiscal deficits have consequences. Imagine that. He's also warning of a pretty darn tough economy in the near future, writing quote, our job is to manage Berkshire's operations and finances in a way and manner that will achieve an acceptable result over time and that will preserve the company's unmatched staying power when financial panics or severe worldwide recessions occur. Oh, okay, well, you said it. Financial panics. You know, we've been through them before. Think about 2008. But what is different about this time around is that we're in an environment where the fed has already done everything it can. And so now it has to raise rates. And yet if inflation just keeps continuing, and the fed keeps raising rates, then there's no way to actually help the economy when it gets in a really bad position.

Let's just pick one that we have not yet played, cut 93, of course, I think the conservative movement is exhausted with identity politics. But maybe not, play cut 92. I have devoted my life to this fight, and I'm just getting started. For a strong America. For a proud America, I am running for president of the United States of America. Pedro she's running your thoughts. Nikki Haley is the dying gasp of the neoconservative establishment to take all of its discredited and awful ideas and basically jam them into a skin suit with a mouth and vocal cords known as Nikki Haley. I mean, it's terrible. She doesn't have an original idea in her head. It's just, you know, it's like she was incubated in a Petri dish beneath Karl rove's home, I really it's difficult to actually put into words how much contempt I have for people like her. Precisely because they claim to be sort of this next generation of leaders, but they're not. They're the dead consensus in the zombified form except wearing high heels. It's really, in some ways it's actually worse. I think I actually have less hatred for like the neocons of yesteryear because they were kind of reacting to some things and they're at least a little bit more intelligent. Again, Nikki Haley really does strike me as just a kind of robot that's been programmed to conduct this kind of suicide mission to save neoconservatism from oblivion, which I think hopefully that's where it's headed for.

The Bad News for J6 Defendants Keeps Coming...

"The bad news for January 6th defendants continues, you might know the case of Richard Barnett, this is a 61 year old guy. In fact, he's the guy who put his feet up on the desk of Nancy Pelosi's office, and you could sort of see him grinning as he did that. But this is a guy who went into the capitol, he didn't hurt his soul. We'd in vandalize any property. And guess what? He is facing up to 20 years. I repeat 20 years in prison. Now, this is nuts. It's not, and it's only explained by the fact that you've got swamp, judges, and you've got a swamp D.C. jury that is not giving these guys a fair hearing, they're not giving them a fair trial. And they don't get fair sentences. I mean, even if they are found guilty of doing what they did, obstructing justice, which this guy didn't do. Nevertheless, you need to have penalties proportionate to the crime. And in case after case, this is obviously not happening. Now, Joseph McBride, the lawyer who's been on this podcast who represented Richard Barnett. Made a motion to move the trial out of D.C., said, listen, you got 92% of people in D.C., 92 to 95% of people in D.C. voting for Biden. So in what sense is this guy getting a jury of a spear as you just, it's just political vengeance that is being inflicted on him by people who hate what he believes and what he stands for and in a sense quote wants to teach him a lesson in other people a lesson by destroying his life.

Matt Walsh on the Left's Wonky Theories of Absolute Truth

"For those people who don't know, Anthony Kennedy was the deciding vote at 91 92, right? Playing point of BKC, which very well could have struck a decisive vote against roe, and he has this incoherent psychobabble, where he's an otherwise pretty smart guy where he basically says every person in the modern world can define what they know to be truth in your own existence. It's something like that, right? I mean, it was, worse than that effect. Yeah, that meaning is what you make it in the modern world. And that's who we are as the modern, right? Versus the ancient post enlightenment. And he says, therefore, if you want to have an abortion, then it's right in your eyes and someone else that might not be right in your eyes. And so you're right, that there in your film, and this is the deeper philosophical. Part of this is who are we to say that if there's anything that is true, essentially they believe there is no absolute truth. But then if you ask them if they believe that absolutely, they would say, of course, of course, their rejection of absolute truth actually is absolutely true in their own belief. But where does that where does that come from? Because that really is the underpinning of it. That it must be just deconstructionist. It's resolution. I mean, it's yeah, it comes. In some ways, it's ancient. I mean, you could trace it all the way back to the Lucifer. You can change back to the guard of Eden if you want. And before that. In the film, we captured a few of these exchanges in the film, or we put it in the thumb but we couldn't put it all in. But I can remember maybe the most depressing experience I had doing the film, which says a lot, because there was quite a few depressing on how you didn't become a darker person because of that separation. I mean, what do you mean? It doesn't show. That's not true. But I can remember walking around the streets, doing the man the street thing in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and yes, the woman that you talk to, like, sorry. Yeah, and there's a couple exchanges that are in the film that are just kind of mind-blowing. One in particular where I asked the woman, she says, well, we all get our own truth. And I said, well, what if it was my truth that you don't exist? Does that mean you don't exist anymore? She said, yeah, that means I don't exist. There was another exchange that I don't think it made it in when I'm talking to some women on the same on the same stretch of road there. Same kind of conversation. And not because I took it there. This is just where they took it. So there is no truth. And we were standing right next to a lamp post. And I said, what if it's my truth that this lamp post doesn't exist? I'm touching the lamppost. Could I just walk through it? And they were a little bit stumped by that. I don't think that they exactly said yes, but they didn't say no either.

It's going to be a phenomenal experience, but the live two day event is when we kick off and we do two days of intensive coaching. And I give you everything you need. And then over the 6 months, you get weekly calls weekly coaching to implement what you decided and what you learned at the live event. If you can't make it live, don't let that be a problem for you. You might have a lot of motivated leaders, people who are showing up. People who are saying, I want this and they're doing the things. "Is there anything that you think is going to stand out from a competitive perspective. You have you looked at it yet. I do want the ray clauses max. 'cause that'd be good i do want the embryonic the embryos v. max just because i know those are going to be good and they're dark so they work with other dark pokemon. Is there gerardo. cemex becca cut. You're right. I don't know i feel like it's in there. Yeah it's in there okay. Now there's there's a lot of cool cards me. Yeah but so fluffy fluffy is like the number one and then rake waza an umbrian those. That's that's like the stuff that i'm looking for. I mean obviously there's going to be trainers so and it's always nice to see new battle styles like single strike and rapid strike just to add to the pool so like ideas can expand even further. All you got you got tag teams gone away. So you know they got. Oh yeah we're gonna shift lately so this is exciting exciting time. yup now. Here's some additional excitement for you. Add my hope you could it. We talked about this. I don't know two months ago. Maybe when the i kind of like images of union cards were kind of came from japan. And we're like what the heck are these cards. Well now we have a us release. These are coming. September twenty four th. We have three new. V union special Specialty special collection boxes. And it's like literally the first time the us acehnese three pokemon featured are going to be mu to ninja. And and you know like i said we previously discussed the mechanic the way it works is Each of the cards kind have like their own. Move on it but the only way that you play an actual v union card is if all four pieces of the union card. Make their way to your discord discard pile. And then you could plates your bench. So it's a whole new mechanic.

"They wanna make it a bigger bigger pool. This is becoming like a king of the hill for atom so adams won the last two tournaments so someone needs to take him down a peg and i hope it's me but then that's still doesn't give prizes to the community no but it just keeps increasing the practice. I know it's like before you know you can have a five hundred dollar prize pool because adam wins every week. So someone's got to come in and knock him down. I think the best part is that. I haven't changed my deck for any of the tournaments. I know man. That's kind of opera pairs. All these chilling rain cards. Only everyone brings fun spicy stuff like everyone's playing with fund decks so it's like you know. Eternity had fun. You the next. We just get a bunch of new patriots that come in just like yeah we. We brought fighting. Yeah we zapped. Just three but huge. Thank you to our gym leader. Tear patrons absolutely ryan dig dug rob grant jamal. Jd mojo joe. Joe magic carpet de paul. Sharpen talent and t. and comics wiz and of course special thanks to our executive producer. Tisch smith tisch. Thank you so much. Yes she pulled some fire some fire. She got a lot of get stuck like vivo. The she got a fuller caitlyn. Aw that thing was noise yes. Yes very noyce discord. Join us tombs. It's a lotta fun. Oh and also our emerged store is available put on professor dot com slash merch. All right adam. I gonna talk about evolving skies real quick. I don't know where you're at with this. Where if any of your ira leaders from it. Okay so you do have a freeloader. But evolving skies. We'll be here on august twenty seventh so towards end of the month but the building battle boxes are making their way out now lottery retailers have already the four potential foil promo cards. This is interesting. We're talking about this on the zoom. You have glaring glaring zap does glaring multi-race and fluffy like what a weird combo. But it actually. Well it's because of how exciting is because it gives you it's got dino motor. Which is a callback to electric. Yes from a previous set which was a broken card in the format which was just like memoir only now is for lightning so get ready for a lightning pokemon. Yes yes but Evolving skies primarily features. I guess cards from like the japanese. Ev hero sat and the sky stream towering perfection. Japanese sets right. Yeah yup the the interesting thing here is from chilling rain. There was i think. Fifty cards cut from chilling rain from the japanese release and a bunch of cards including some of the evolution cards having cut for evolving skies from the.

"But this next one atom takes the cake for me. This thing is phenomenal. What isn't striker. Schiff movie max. Secret rare altered from battle styles. This artist is keanu. Nishimura and interesting thing about this artist is this is the only card for pokemon that she's ever done however i did some research on her name and started googling and she's done a ton of work for capcom over like the last i don't know how long streetfighter art like just all the cab i was gonna say he said capcom. I'm like street but like look like can't you see this artwork being like similar to you. Know the over the top streetfighter. Five style like special moves yelled off. It's very reminiscent of that style. And it just it it makes. The earth will look like a monster. It's so cool. it's so cool. This will get my number two spot out of the four okay but look at its mouth like i mean it definitely does not look like the others. It looks like it's in. The process of gigantic maxine is just like i don't know it's easy to use hyper be met of. Its is an mma. It looks like he's gonna blow a topic breath like like like godzilla a he's getting ready to lay the beep down. No but this one's awesome. You know just full bleed artwork. The background is rad. It's like a fiery sky with lightning. I don't know all these cards for me. A really cool but You know there's something about the newer style artwork that we've seen over the past. You know sort of shield releases like it's a unique style like the art has changed pretty drastically so you know when we talk about these art of the weeks and we talk about older cards. You know if you're looking at like slow poke from the fossil set you not me like it could just be like three colors in the whole panel of like the most basic even talking about that slow. Poke about yes..

"I don't think this is over. I think the taliban took control relatively quickly but the the northern alliance already starting to stand up and you've got afghans in their late teens and early twenties that only know one way of life and when push comes to shove. I don't think they're going to. I don't think they're going to tolerate. The taliban put going back to the other way of life. I talked early on about whether that's what they want or not. I don't know if they do. But i think i don't think we're gonna find out right now. I think we're gonna find out in the next eighteen to twenty four months as we see what happens and maybe a lot of them won't stand and fight but maybe they'll choose to leave and you know those are people that we saved because those are people that we showed what life could be like. And there's this whole all those people you see standing in line. They should be standing. There should be staying there and fighting for their country. That's easy to say from over here folks. That's easy to say watching it on television. It's a lot harder to say when you didn't have any weapons in your house and you woke up in the middle of the night and the taliban rolled in It's a little bit harder to say you know and You know i. I'm not going to cast judgment on any of those people but i do think you're gonna see a change in the future where people are going to be standing up or mass exodus and to what extent the taliban allows that to occur. I don't know but think of it. this way. Those people that were saved and they and they never would have been saved. They were destined to a life a a life of much lower quality. Under taliban rule people got opportunities in the last twenty years. You know women going to school. Women being pilots diplomats. That never would have been allowed under taliban rule and that happened because of us and in some way shape or form those people are going to go on to those that survive because it's dicey right now but they are going to go on to have better lives and some of them will be there. Some of them will be relocated Here in the united states or in other countries but they're gonna lead better lives and not opportunity is because of what we did. That's number four. Hold on fucking telemarketers number five in this this is if you don't remember anything else man this is. This is true of every war. But i was never. I was never over there for what elections we're going to be. I was never over there for what for anything else. I was only there to take care of our guys if they got shot. You know both my deployments. Whereas a physician i was there to take care of the operators if god forbid anything happened to them and they were injured. That's the only reason i was there. If you were there you were there for the people to your left and right the people in your squad the people in your platoon. The people under your command. That's why you were there fucked. The politicians fuck lines on a map. I don't give a shit about any of that. I was there for the i. Was there for the guys on the helicopter with me. I was there for the guys after emission sat around grilling a steak with and fuck in you know playing a game of cornhole and smoking cigars and you know the guys you went to the gym with an gave each other shit before a workout. And the guys you'd walk down to chow with those. That's why i was there not in these other big idealistic reasons right. I mean you can't look at it that way you know we. Everything is cyclical and you know one way or look at it as you know we. We defeated germany and half half for years. Half germany was free and half was under communist rule. And i don't think. I don't think any of the were to era. Veterans beat themselves over that because half of the country didn't get to be free right i mean we. There's all these jokes about how we saved france and how they you know they were to And now they've done nothing but status in the back of her sense which is Not one hundred percent correct. But you know it's just just because you go in and you shed blood for somebody on their soil. That doesn't mean that they're going to do exactly what they're going to live their life exactly the way you want to move forward so i honestly i mean two three years from now. They could've voted the taliban in. I mean the that realistically could have happened. You just you just never know and it's painful to see so so. Don't don't fret over the political objectives or the lines on a map or anything like that if you went over there and you did the best you could you hold your head fucking high because for all the reasons that i just gave you. You should be proud of what we did there and what we did there was necessary and it was not in vain. And you fucking remember that and you remind your buddies of that the we did our fucking.

"When he drones in the air and we probably have a need spectre gunships in the air down. There and i see shit needs to start happening you when you can see in view of checkpoints in view america. The cell phone photos of may may have been taken by american troops. That you can see some taliban dish bag with a stick beating someone over the head. Why is a sniper around not being sent into that fucking shit bags head and i know why. It's not because of the rules of engagement. They're being told not to engage. Because what we don't want you know we don't want civilian scott in the crossfire. Hey i understand that right. But we can't do is mark those people and we know where they're going back to. I guarantee that's not a secret. We need to be taken. These people out Something has got to give and we need to stand up. What do you. How do you stop a bully. You stand up to him and right now. The taliban is flexing their muscle and their being a bully. Need to stand up to them. We also all these locations where we have the blackhawks the wraps whatever we need to be drone strike in the shit of those right now. Okay those all need to be destroyed. Okay because the blackhawks the inside like a taliban ever gonna fly those just the the maintenance and everything else that's involved in that it's just completely impossible but what they will do is sell them so this is other. They're going to bankroll themselves going forward. There's nothing there's nothing that they have in the way of tech because if this stuff that was being left for the a we were going to have to help them with the maintenance moving forward right so things like fuel we're going to have to come from outside the country parts. Were going to have to come from you i. Obviously they're not making parts for 'em wraps over there right the all these things we're gonna come from outside the country and the taliban it's not going to have that so you know some of it's gonna get driven for about six months and then just stopped on the side of the road but a lot of it's gonna get sold k. It's gonna get sold to russia. It's gonna get sold to china it's gonna get sold to private security companies out of rwanda or wherever else. We just need to start destroying that. Because that's what's going to bankroll the taliban moving forward and talks have already been made about sanctions. Well that's other going to get around sanctions. They're going to sell all that shit that we left them so sanctions are gonna do anything. They're going to sell all the shit we left them and they're going to sell opium heroin whatever and that's totally how they're going to finance themselves so we need to put it into that when you destroy that shit President biden. I think in possibly the worst statement i've ever heard made by president. He said the taliban are having an existential crisis. No they're not. They're not having existential crisis. They're they're radical jihadists. There's lama fundamentalists. They have twisted the koran into something that it's not so they think that they're right and doing everything right. They don't give two shits how the rest of the world views. What do they don't care right and the fact that anybody in. Us government even thinks that well they're going to have to take a moment to think how's the world gonna view they don't care when you're a fanatic and you know that everything you do by virtue of you doing it as right. You don't give a shit. What somebody three thousand miles away thinks that who comes from a culture that you condemn you think to. They don't care at all and he did bring up the monetary aspect of it. That if but guess what. Somebody's always gonna find us that you think. Russia and china aren't going to step in there to finance that absolutely they will. This is this is russia's chance to to take over afghanistan successfully and do it financially right all they gotta do is prop up prop up the taliban and and be given money which they'll they'll be more than happy to do and they control the border up a roof of the world so they can do that. It's ridiculous to think. They're eminent decisional crisis. So i i wanted to save this for last. You know as a veteran. I don't mosul you listen to this. If if if you're afghan- afghanistan jawad veteran. You're probably over there for more than more time than i was I did two tourists Both were relatively short. And because in the units that deployed with they were As busy so i. I feel like i put in put in a hard day's work every day that i was there both times But i know a lot of people are struggling with. The question was all in vain. You know we were over there all this time was it in vain and the answer is no. It wasn't in vain. And i'll tell you why And i made some. I made some specific points on this. And i wanna try to cover made five points. I want to cover all of them here. So the reason it wasn't in vain number one we showed the world. What happens if you fuck with us. Right on nine. Eleven two thousand one. Something terrible happened right Some some evil people crashed planes into buildings and killed innocent civilians. And we said no. You're not gonna do that. That we will find the people responsible and the people. If if you're not directly responsible find the people that support the people responsible and and we'll take care and we'll kill you right and we did that all the way up to and including killing ub l. in two thousand eleven right and that was important at that got shown that it wasn't like the attempted bombing In the in the basement of the world trade center under bill clinton that we just you know we just let go or the coal we just let go of all these other things you know getting your driven out of mogadishu and we just it go all these other things that we just let go now. It was like no. We're not gonna let it go anymore. You've pushed us too far. And that was a message that had to be set and whether you realize it or not that.

"I think there's a lot of life changes stuff next. We'll try to talk more specifically about the book so but now Onto afganistan because we really need to talk about that now. So situation on the ground now Not a lot has really changed since last week. Thousands of americans stranded tens of thousands of our allies stranded. I i don't know the numbers. I'm not gonna give numbers because frankly i don't know the numbers. I'm hearing a lot of change in the numbers and the state department even said they won't give out the numbers because they feel that it's giving intelligence to the taliban. I don't know if i really agree with that. I think they didn't know the answer. Some flights are going out. Five hundred percent capacity. You probably saw on my social media. Post a photograph the inside of a c. Seventeen just a packed over capacity but a lot of flights are going out partially full and the reason is the difficulty isn't getting flights in and out even though there is only one airfield there in kabul The difficulty is in getting people pass the gates and people are having people are a hunkered down in their homes afraid to leave or hunker down at wherever they feel safe and afraid to leave Be they're having to go through. Multiple taliban checkpoints just to get to the airport These taliban checkpoints are already showing them to are already shown themselves to be fraught with violence against people that have any type of association to the us and our allies then another set of checkpoints immediately adjacent to the airport. And then you get stuck there. He'd stuck there in the sea of humanity and people have literally been stuck. You've seen these pictures of people. Basically they're just lined up on streets. They've been there for days in ninety three degree heat Only with what. They can carry on their back with their family with children. This is an issue you see children being handed handed over the barbed wire To our troops that are on the ground. There it's emotionally wrenching. It's if you're not watching it. And i really i got a call on. Msnbc because nbc msnbc of all the major news networks is really dropped the ball on this. They are not covering it on. I know this isn't a shock to most people because msnbc stopped being real news a long time ago. But i've been making your point to go to all the major news outlets web pages every day and pretty much without failed. The lead story is everything. That's going on afghanistan and that should be right. This is a this is a major event. This is a major black for the us. this is Very much akin to the parallels between the fall of saigon and the fall of kabul cannot be drawn to closely. I'll tell you that and msnbc is just choosing to ignore it. I mean the ridiculous stories that they're running as their top stories. That have nothing to do with anything important to anybody living in the real world. It's it just shocks me to no end so if you a friend or family member who is a regular watcher of msnbc. First of all. I apologize to you either. I feel sorry for that. You're having to deal with that type of idiocy on a daily basis but Why give a little counseling on. How much of an idiot they are so. Msnbc's ratings will drop so they'll start to maybe there is some hope they could come back around and be a real news agency at some point in the next generation or so Right now they're talking about a deadline of thirty one august which is kind of. It's it's a very arbitrary deadline so the original deadline for troop withdrawal. I'll talk more about this later. Was back on. One may which didn't happen so so really. Any deadline that gets drawn now is just something arbitrary that someone says well originally the current administration. The us said there was a deadline of august. Thirty first which was literally a number just pulled out of thin air now. The taliban picked up on that and said yep yeah. That's the deadline. So you got until then and then it's game on then we can just do whatever we want That's that's an issue and we need to push back you know. We're a superpower talent. Doesn't get to tell us what to do. They don't get to tell us what the timeliness forgetting our people out The taliban is not the elective representatives of afghanistan. So they don't they don't get to dictate. Shut us quite frankly and there needs to be some pushback against that To put this in historical context. I know you've heard this before it's been said multiple times on the news This was said back as early as two thousand one people talked about. The ghanistan is known as the graveyard of empires. So the roman legions British colonials the soviets now now it is true that we left under much different circumstances right. We we didn't we didn't get driven out in defeat. We we want. Every you know strategically and tactically. We want every battle in afghanistan. There was there never anything that we didn't. We failed to take and or take back. If if there was some ebb and flow We controlled afghanistan and not not. In the way the soviets did you know was still on their heels from the mujahedeen at every turn we controlled afghanistan but we recognize that. We couldn't be there forever and we chose to leave a timetable set for that The fact that it's reverting head appears to be reverting to what it was before we got. There is not an indication of a strategic or tactical loss. That's it's an indication of everything that that makes that country up. So let let let me talk about that for just a second i wrote. I wrote down some notes a kind of an order. They wanna go in. But i'm kind of free role. In this i go so so bear with me The fact that afghanistan the way that it's on the map is really pretty arbitrary This is a and. I don't know what it dates back to originally but the area was known as corazon Back the in the time The earliest recorded history. That i know of you know. Of course. On and then send was the area going over into pakistan. There weren't really any hard and fast borders there but afghanistan is not so much a country is it. It's a collection of tribes and tribe identity certainly supersedes national identity. I said this early early on in the war is one of the issues that we're going to have is for people in the rural reaches of afghanistan Whatever part that might be..

"Ever. Thinking on it. I don't believe I've ever shared this even on my podcast. Or on any podcast I've ever been on I've ever been asked this. That I can remember I may have but I but I'll just be open about it. The reason I do not have social media is my whole. How about how do I say this? The whole way this whole thing started for me was because I had Facebook. And I use Facebook. I was using Facebook for the totally wrong reasons. When I was before I met my wife, how put these ads had wrong intentions on Facebook? I would talk to female Don Facebook and have fashion have been having. So me and my wife had been dating. Maybe two years, I know. Maybe a year, we hadn't been dating. We hadn't been eating too very long. And we were sitting at the old Atlanta brave stadium. And she asked me in the Atlanta brave stadium. If I would delete my Facebook account, I was like, sure, I'll do it sitting right here in the Atlanta brave stadium. I was like, I'll do it. And I deleted my I deleted my Facebook account. And I think it was I think one of the things that was 2013. Yeah? I think it was 2013. In that line of brave stadium and since then, I literally state off of. All social media until April 7th of last year. And I got on LinkedIn and because I was at home and I didn't know I had heard about link can so I got on there and just started networking with people. It started sharing my story and sharing my journey and just doing stuff like that. But I stayed off all social media because it's not safe for me. Even you to even YouTube. If something pops up on YouTube, I'm like, not watching that video. Even as crazy as I do have Pinterest, but I love cooking. I love to use Pinterest for recipes that we're about to go on vacation in July. So I'll look for pens on that because we're going to sing in August in Florida. But even Pinterest, you have to be so careful with Pinterest. Because things will pop up on pinter. So I'm like, whoops, not looking at that band. But I do have a Pinterest account. So I guess LinkedIn and Pinterest I have those. But it's for my mind and for my we're dealing with.

"Stable yet a very bad year you know financially and physically iraqi buzz off and if you start from scratch and in in in the states. The episodes are all available on a peacock. nbc's ott streamer channel. If you watch the first episode you're gonna go. I don't remember this guy. That's because someone else played rocky in the first pilot. And then noah beeri junior joined after an thank god because his warmth and good humor and playful bantering and parental fretting. Were such a huge part of the show and they gave a lot of debts to rockford zone kind of care attitude and the scenes between them are always always interesting. You know there. There's like a free song of of tension that the they do very well. They do exasperation very well with each other undercut with this filial warmth and they it goes both ways so they're scenes are always great. You know these are pro actors of course in the police department. And you have joe santos dennis becker. Great foil for rockford gretchen. Corbett does great work as gyms attorney and his sometimes girlfriend beth davenport she's in a whole bunch episodes and that kind of is your main recurring cast with one. Additional extremely notable exception a lot of actors who recurred on a lot of american tv series but of all of them. I believe you gotta really reserve a special place for stuart margolin Whose performance as angel martin is a diamond perfect master. Class in oleaginous self-preservation palm right. Here right now look white tope one of us even better see you could do jimmy now and then i go around and i tell people don't and then later if you wanted to scare more people why be available for the engagement if you watch only one rockford files episode. I really urge it to be the first episode that really focuses the whole plot on angel. It's called chicken. Little is a little chicken. And it's just this kind of crazy tale about angel getting himself into yet another scrape and then pulling jim in with mobsters and it's such a funny and well written episode really really unique. The chemistry between these two guys is otherworldly. It's like a platonic love between people who can't stand each other american pitcher town. I'm not worried he said daddy. You folded like keeping fag. I never saw angel big goody two shoes what happened to cry once. I am going crazy. And i can't take your eighty four years and years and years. I'm going out of my mind stupid ridiculous games year year. Regarding don't say just say gimme what sorry. Angel doles out information to jim. Only on kind of ask saving needed basis. It's a brilliant episode. And stuart margolin man got total comic genius performer. I mean he is so good and So committed to this oily character. Who you love and he does he. He tells people to shoot rockford. He skips out on rockford. He leaves rockford in jail. I mean he. He behaves really really atrociously yet. You always have this warmth and kinda love for him. That's as the gift of the actor that that is that his on screen. Pay no attention to my other message. You're out of your clean. No trouble at all. Just ignore the first message. Jameel buddy buddy you. They allow you one phone. Call jimmy pancakes right over by the hollywood freeway. The are common jimmy angel. Here's a tip handwriting's back third son in the fifth race of metals. Wait a minute could be late. This might be next week's race jimmy angel. Listen every talavera. Just give me a active on a class in the eight that it holly park. Only trouble is i need twenty a couple other recurring chemistry players. Just i think stars that came on and then had such great chemistry with garnered that they kind of brought them back. Repeatedly rita moreno luis. Gaza junior Isaac hayes and dennis dugan are also your kind of repeating guest ours. Whose chemistry with garnell. You'll really appreciate it. Actually the studio universal that did rebels made a pilot featuring the lou gossett junior character and the isaak's character this gandhi fitch. That's isaak's and gabby hayes played by lou gossett. Junior and the series brilliantly was titled gabby and gandhi. i mean. i can't believe that didn't go. That is that that sounds great. The pilot is actually shown as an episode of rockford files called just another polish wedding. So you can. you can see. Maybe what worked didn't work in that. There and gandhi that the the isaac hayes episode the first one is one of the more unique episodes. I've ever seen it's it. It's kind of the story of gandhi getting out of the prison where he briefly Shared space with with rockford. And he's this kind of tough dangerous ex-con who is looking to solve the murderer that he was jailed for of his His girlfriend whom he he's he adamantly says he did not kill and it really builds to this really poignant ending very unique ending where gandhi the ex con played by isaak's he's forced to kind of confront his own violent past and its aftermath in the faces of the two children. He didn't know he had with his girlfriend. Who ends up. Took her life. And it's an episode that ends not with any kind of comforting resolution like a tv. Wrap up but it's really kind of like this sobering ending that. You know you might outrun your demons for a time. The bill always comes do. It's really well handled is a case really good actor and really kind of haunting episode so one of my favorite places to get information about these. Tv shows the television academy foundation. Online may have interviews with people that were involved in the creation of all of the tv series from. You know the history of television and it's funny because you know success has many masters you've heard that phrase and it's very true when you watch interviews for example. Two of the people involved in the rockford files roy. Huggins and meet a rosenberg both have interviews and if you listen to their individual interviews is to kind of different stories about how exactly this came to be but i think the truth that i can glean is. That roy. Huggins had received a call. Jim garner had his closest associate. Louis delgado abs- to be related to me. He asked to call me. Because louis new al close louis and i were lewis said. Jim wants to do a series with u. penn. He's even willing to come back to universal.

beth davenport noah beeri Corbett Jim Louis delgado two children Jim garner lou gossett joe santos dennis becker dennis dugan two guys gabby hayes next week Two Jameel first pilot garnell eighty first message first episode
