So Bengals representing or off to a start Saturday college football action Sunday NFL action Sunday was like Christmas morning. Getting ready for week one and joining. We had Dave lap. Um we had lap calling the game and now we've got wrapped James Rippin with the breakdown. James rippin from Sports illustrated all Bengals dot com. Good morning. How are you doing, buddy? I'm wearing any. How are you? I'm doing fine. Um So obviously it came down to 2/4 down calls, right. So you go for it on fourth down, Give the ball to the Vikings on the 30 yard line, sets up the TV to a feeling who exposed the mismatch with Eli Bad Apple and absolutely stupid call by Taylor like he was huffing glue. Then all of a sudden, later in the game, we're in overtime. Jesse Bates strips the ball from Dalvin Cook, one of better running backs in the NFL, two minutes fourth and inches, hits, his AAMA and the call of the game. Sets up the field goal. Great call. He looked like a genius Coach Taylor dead a tale of two tailors. So that's basically the summary of the game right now. It came down to 2 4000 calls. I did and honestly going forward on fourth them at first time, you're right it if you're in control of the game position at the same time, if you're going to do it, and Taylor talked about this after the game, maybe don't run it right into where the Vikings are hoping you run it on fourth and one and I don't mix it Swift. You're pushing those guys back right for the laps of the quarterback. It just makes it hard. Even if you go back and you look at that first drive second drive that the Vikings had Kirk cousins, Mrs Masters a wide open Justin Jefferson in terms of behind him, and that would have been a first down and that suddenly you're moving the bottle and things change in momentum in the defensive tyrant. Incredible pass was off target because they pressured him. And that was probably the thing that I don't know about surprised me the most, but the most encouraging take away I have from yesterday. Obviously, the resilience and everything like that. Right. This defensive line pressured cousins. They helped keep down and cooking check who is considered one of the best running backs in the game, And that was a tall task..

You know, you think about greens, fairways, tree maintenance here. We've got to maintain lights. How many light bulbs? You guys go through in a season. We go through an awful lot of lights were replaced in an occasional We've got to get the high lift out here a few times a year. It does get difficult to play when we do have a few light bulbs out. You really Duke? You really can't see your boss. Yeah, but it is. It's unique if Listen, if you're a golfer, and you haven't played Baba late at night. You have not experienced golf in western New York. It is, uh, Jimmy. It's one of the the coolest things. You can do it. It's exciting to play. I agree, and we also have a night flier golf ball. Okay, So these golf balls are good for 41 hours. Okay. Oh, that's awesome. You hit. Not that It really feels like a true golf ball. However. It is pretty cool. You hit it. Um, let's talk about playing par threes. We'll get everybody in on this. Jimmy will start with you here. He's too playing a part three. Especially maybe shorter ones. Smaller greens. What are some of the things you'd be thinking about? As you approach the ball to t off? Well, um Power threes. Yeah, you just have to. You have to have your distances down so We've recalibrated all the whole So we know exactly how long each hole is now and, um It depends on the, uh How good the player is. In other words, some players actually come out here with a pitching wedge and a putter and they're satisfied to just use those two clubs. However, it's different for everybody. You know other people, they'll bring their whole set of clubs out here. Lot of people actually use drivers in some of the power three. So it just depends on your level of play. As to what club you're going to use. Um the greens hold the ball relatively well. They're a little soft in the front of the green, So it's pretty. It's a pretty good idea to carry the green. However, once it starts drying up as it's going to get warm out, and as we get into this summer, you're able to just bump and run the ball up onto the greens. Um, the greens are undulating. Like I said, they have a pretty good role to them. And, um You know, we have different distances. Like I said from 90 yards 160 yards each part three. Um A couple of them are downhill if you uphill, so it's a really good challenge and Again. Like I said, I bring all my juniors out here. I try to get them all out on the golf course. Whatever kind of a program we're running. I want to make sure that we get the kids out onto the golf course. So they get at least nine holes of golf and every time they come out here And it's a really good experience with some of the kids. I may actually modify the golf course. Someone and actually moved the tee boxes up a little bit. You know what I mean? Based on their level? Sure, but the idea is Get everybody out on the golf course to experience skull. From the starting from the power three level and then moving to let's say, uh, courses that are a little more difficult, maybe more of an executive type golf course rehab, threes and fours, maybe in a five par five thrown in there, But like I said, this is a good starting point. We've talked about this a couple of times already. But any leftover thoughts from Saturday's game out. Yeah, I'll kind of just move past an actual and stuff cuz I feel like they've talked about that play and we all know he had a good week Fitzpatrick. He's the guy for me that I'm really excited about and and I know we've talked about him a little bit but we haven't talked since the game. He's the leading receiver in that game six catches 90 yards could have had a another big one you could have had like a 50-yard touchdown to but Philippe Franks missed them by about fifteen yards. He supposed to be undrafted right now. He is a consensus undrafted player and wage. I'm not saying that the Senior Bowl kind of cured all of his concerns. The biggest issue with him is consistency. He'd be a game-breaker for three games that Louisville and then disappear for three games one strong week doesn't wipe that out. I'm not saying, you know, I take him in the first round, but you know, you look at a guy like Terry McLaurin who went I think on day three right or even acknowledged Kobe Myers and there is a lot of Jacoby Myers game I think in Des Fitzpatrick in the wage. I said proven to be be difference makers and I think Dez Fitzpatrick can be that guy in this draft at some teams going to get a real treat on day three. He's six two two hundred pounds when he gets in and change his brakes in and out of his Cuts Like a guy, you know, significantly smaller. He can create separation when he doesn't he is an act to use his size to kind of body out Defenders. He's not quite a burner but he's not surprisingly fast for guy his size. He looks like a burner cuz you don't expect a guy his size to move as quick as he does. So that's the guy, you know, as we kind of look at some of these day free picks cuz.
