Mark Levin: Judge Chutkan Should Be Thrown Off the Bench

"Yourself holy crap I've a got case here. I've already set a trial date in May. Here it literally involves 9 months of videos and 1 .1 million documents that's according to the government there could be more so again defense has a right to make their own case without being directed by the government or just using the information the government gives so they want to look at all the government information plus more. They want to conduct depositions. Maybe some of the people the government spoke to maybe some others can't get that done in 4 or 5 months in one of these cases. So what Judge Trumkin did being the Marxist bomb thrower that she is who should really be removed from the bench. If our justice system was working she'd be thrown the hell off the bench. She would. She's a disgrace. So what Trumkin did is basically tell Judge Cannon what are you going to do about it? Screw you. I'm going first. I picked two months after the government asked and two months your before trial. And so if my trial here in Washington happens to bleed your trial you move the date. Or if the discovery from my case which is going to come first now interferes with discovery based on the calendar that you set in Florida before I my set calendar that's your damn problem. You move your case. Because Trumkin knows that this is a kangaroo court kangaroo.

"Amen. I agree with that 100%. And saying that he sees Bitcoin as a vehicle for returning innovation to America, he added that any capital gains exemptions on Bitcoin conversion should only apply to the smaller investors and businesses as not to create huge windfalls for large companies like BlackRock and the rest of Wall Street, such as Goldman Sachs and the bankers. You know how that goes. Anyways, fam, very interesting to say the least. Now for the latest from a billionaire venture capitalist, Tim Draper, who was recently interviewed, and then I'll be sharing Fundstrat's Tom Lee's latest $180 ,000 price prediction he says likely to occur before the Bitcoin halvening, only nine months out due to one catalyst, and we're going to be discussing that in great detail, followed by our live Q &A. So let's break this down. Shout out to Tim Draper, a prominent advocate of Bitcoin, recently revised his prediction for the timeline when he anticipates Bitcoin going to reach a quarter million dollars per coin. In a new interview with Fox published on Wednesday, Draper discussed how Bitcoin, a Clem and Countdown broadcast throughout the interview, Draper emphasized the significance of the internet in society and expressed his belief that the same is going to be true for Bitcoin, quitting him here. We're going through one of the most exciting decades I think we'll see in our lifetimes because we have Bitcoin transforming the way currency and commerce is done, he said. Currently, the venture capitalist stated Bitcoin was establishing its position amidst a vast array of other crypto assets, quitting him again. I think we are going to see Bitcoin rise above the other cryptos, he shared. In fact, he admittedly asserted that Bitcoin will further ascend to challenge other fiat currencies, and according to the venture capitalist, Bitcoin's superiority and heightened efficiency surpasses today's conventional finance system. I mean, that's a given, right? He shares here. It is just better tech. Having a bank and government decide on what currency is good is not as effective as having Bitcoin where there is a trusted third party, which are hundreds of thousands of nodes, making sure the transaction was done properly. And he also says Bitcoin is just better, safer technology, and I think eventually the rest of the world will come on board. Wise words. Draper further asserted that Bitcoin is accepted worldwide and believes it's only a matter of time before retailers recognize the advantages of accepting Bitcoin. He pointed out that they can avoid paying bank and credit card companies by utilizing BTC. The investor also emphasized that eventually Bitcoin will be the one everyone flies to when you can buy your food, clothing, and everything else, including shelter, etc. So there you have it. Let me know if you agree or disagree with Tim Draper and his updated quarter million dollar price prediction. Let's get it. He believes it's going to happen within the next couple of years. He initially believed this target was going to happen by July or June of this year, but he just pushed that goalpost back, which you've got to do what you've got to do. We all know it's inevitable, only a matter of time. Now, for the moment, you're all waiting for the reason you clicked on this video in the first place. That's Fundstrat Tom Lee's 180 ,000 Bitcoin price prediction within the next nine months. If you'd love to see 180 ,000 price action before the next haven, let me know in the comments right down below. Now let's discuss this very bullish prediction.

"Let me know how many of you are currently bullish on the King Crypto, and how many of you are anticipating a pretty bullish bull run here coming up. Let me know in the comments. At the end of the show, I'll be reading everyone's comments out loud. Now for the latest with the largest asset manager in the world, which is BlackRock. They allegedly control over 10 trillion bucks in assets under management, and they're making big moves on the other side of the world in India. That's right, global investment giant BlackRock is expanding its reach in India with a partnership targeting the launch of the digital first offering. BlackRock on July 26th, as we know, officially announced a joint investment project with JIO Financial Services, an arm of Indian tycoon Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries, India's most valued firm. The companies each plan to invest up to $150 million in a 50 -50 joint venture. Let's go JV, pun intended. Named JIO BlackRock, the project aims to provide tech -enabled access to affordable, innovative investment solutions to millions of investors in India. And don't forget the population in India is massive. I believe it's like one of the largest populations in the world. Someone please fact check that. Let me know in the comments below how large it is. Now the venture will utilize BlackRock's expertise and talent in investment management, tech access, operation, scale, and market intellectual capital. The announcement said JFS will in turn contribute the local market insights, as well as digital infrastructure and execution capabilities. The partnership will introduce a new player to the India market with a unique combination of scope, scale, and resources, the announcement notes and shares. The partnership will leverage BlackRock's deep expertise in investment and risk management, along with the technology capability and deep market expertise of JFS to drive digital delivery of products. I mean you can't get much more bullish than that. The new joint venture is subject to regulatory and statutory approvals before the launch, the company noted, and while referring to the new product as the digital first offering in India, BlackRock and JFS didn't specify any concrete plans for cryptos, such as Bitcoin or any other type of digital assets.

"Macroeconomic data produced a muted reaction. I know more sideways, boring trading action, but it is what it is. As you can see here in the Bitcoin one hour candle chart data from Cointelegraph markets growing trading news showed Bitcoin price strength waning after a brief push to roughly 29 ,680. We almost hit that 30 ,000 mark, but not quite. Bitcoin offered a modest uptick after the Fed hike interest rate to their highest since 2001, a move already priced into the markets. And the day's U .S. domestic product, a gross domestic product advanced print for quarter two came in better than a forecast at 2 .4 % annualized, pointing to inflationary pressures continuing to ebb and what can prove a catalyst for risk asset performance. And quoting a crypto analyst, me Calvin, a pop Bitcoin steady stock steady. Now the PCE is better than expected and we go up. He also shares here open interest to new highs. Price grinding upwards seems likely to sweep down before up for Bitcoin. If not break twenty nine seven in a one go and we'll have a party. We'll send it an on chain monitoring resource material indicators. Meanwhile, suggests ahead of time that the GDP would be a nothing burger for crypto. Quoting him here, the strong economy soft landing narrative is gaining some traction, but the Fed would still like to see softening of the labor market to support the thesis relative to what the historical record shows about the correlation between the labor market and inflation. Let me know if you agree or disagree with this analyst. And otherwise, we have the U .S. dollar strength hitting two week highs. Believe it or not, that's right. On the day odds of rates pushing at their current five and a quarter to five and a half percent stood at 76 % at this time, with 24 % likelihood of another quarter of a percent hike. According to the CME Group's FedWatch tool, which has been overall pretty accurate and commenting on the outlook for crypto vis to vis U .S. macro movements. Send in the Bitcoin price parabolic between $140 ,000 and $180 ,000 before the next halving within nine months, according to Fundstrat's Tom Lee. We'll also be discussing the latest technical analysis, as well as the fact that SPF donated $93 million in stolen customer funds to U .S. politicians. Yet, the U .S. government just dropped criminal political campaign finance charges. You can't make this ish up. We'll also be discussing Bitcoin's next bull run, as Bitfinex stablecoin ratio blows up in 2023. We'll also be discussing crypto -friendly BlackRock starts the digital first investment offering in India. That's right, and check this out. So if the total global wealth today is $800 trillion, Bitcoin would be worth $190 million per coin. Let that sink in. Also in today's show, Robert Kennedy Jr. reveals buying two Bitcoin for each of his seven children. That's what's up. Ukrainian officials acknowledge they now control only a small part of the city, but say their fighter's presence has played a key role in their strategy of exhausting the Russian military, and they say their current positions in surrounding areas will let them strike back inside back mud while Ukrainian forces are making significant advances just outside the 400 year old city. Experiencing the Mystery of Christian Faith With Stephen Strang

"Talking to Stephen strang, founder of charisma magazine, who has a new book out called spirit led living in an upside down world, and I'm glad Stephen that we're talking about this because as I just said, we went to the break so many people, they have a very bleached kind of desiccated intellectualized, rationalistic view of the Christian faith. They don't understand that there's mystery that there is the life of the Holy Spirit. They've not experienced that. Maybe they've not experienced miracles or they've only seen weird people experience that. But you and I know that this is God's will for us as Christians. Absolutely. My book is practical, it's experiential. It is not really theological, although I will stand behind the theology. You know, I'm a journalist. I'm not a theologian. I'm not never been a pastor. But I've lived a long time now, and I've seen God work. I've had my own set of problems and trials. I've had to reach out to God. I've had to get victory over things. I've had to believe God, you mentioned charisma magazine. It's just started as a dream. I had to believe it into existence in a way. The gift of faith, I write a light in there about Kenneth Copeland and we call him papa Hagan. And I interview a lot of people. I interviewed Catherine Coleman back in the day, but that's amazing. You must have just been a kid. Seriously, that's quite a while ago. It was. And I think I did the last. I did it for the Orlando sentinel where I worked at the time. Can you believe a secular paper sent me to cover a Catherine Coleman rally? She was a big, big cultural figure, I know, become friends with Mario Morello. He was telling me stories about her. And you know, she obviously lived into the 1970s, but still I interviewed her about 9 months before she died. And I think it was probably the last major interview she had before she died.

That's the same year over year increase as in March, if that forecast proves accurate, it would be the first time that annual inflation did not fall after 9 months of declines, the items that may have accelerated inflation last month, pricier gasoline, apartment rents, and possibly used vehicles, the cost of airline fares and hotel rooms are expected to have eased after a month of increases, dawn of water Washington

The tax filing deadline is Tuesday, about 25% of Americans wait until the last minute, using programs from Intuit, H and R block, and other private companies that charge for their software. But the IRS is exploring the creation of a government operated electronic tax return system that would be free to use. A government spending bill last summer gave the IRS 9 months and $15 million to report in on how it might implement such a program and how much it would cost. Taxpayer advocates loved the idea. The suspects is pinned to the ground moments before the device explodes on stage. The crowd scatters in panic as police roughly drag the man away. The prime minister escaped uninjured and continued his campaigning for the rest of the day. Kishida attended the event to support his ruling party's candidate in a local election and the explosion occurred just before he was to begin his speech. Conservative Open to Change

"I'm a guy that is very, very open to change right now. I am as infuriated and enraged as any other conservative that Donald Trump had his second term stolen from him. It was illegal. It was rigged. It was all of those things. I would like justice to be served too. I would like him to get in again just to shove it straight up there. Noses. I really would. But I am also of a mind that I want to get things done. And I know that the obstruction that the Democrats throw at Donald Trump is unlike anything they've ever done anybody else and ever will again. It would be very, very hard. Probably there would be at least two more motions for impeachment in a second term, just like there was in the first. They'll do anything they can to stop him and whatever agenda has. I'm open to change, but what I am trying to get across here is that while Donald Trump might not be my very first choice at this moment in time in April of 2023. I will champion him if he's our nominee. And I hope everybody who is in the Trump camp that is their first choice right now will champion Ron DeSantis if he's the nominee. And will not listen to what Donald Trump has done or said himself to Ron DeSantis, or about Ron DeSantis in this, it's not even a primary phase right now because desantis is not a declared candidate, we're still 9 months away from the Iowa primaries, we're still, you know, 6 months away from any debates, all of those kinds of things. But he's already branding Ron DeSantis as being a somebody's going to slash social security and Medicare, somebody who's a groomer because he took pictures with his high school students back when he was a 23 year old teacher. All of these things that he has done. I'm not a fan of that. I'm not a fan of the way he's treated Ron DeSantis. He's been nicer to Gavin Newsom. The far left Marxist failed governor of blue state California, than he is to Ron DeSantis, the super Uber conservative America first champion of the great red state of Florida. I got a problem with that, but I will still be a huge champion of his if he's our guy. It's the only way we can win.

Nancy Mace Says FDA Should Ignore Judge's Abortion Pill Ruling

"I'm really getting tired of Republicans who hijack our principles and our money and our volunteers and people go knock on their doors and the minute they're given an opportunity to fight for something that matters Like human life in the womb they go on left wing cable news channels like CNN and they talk about how AOC recommending that the FDA ignore a federal judge basically bringing in tyranny is federal judges ruling on an abortion drug and they agree with AOC Promoting both death in the womb and tyranny at the same time Here it is Listen to yourself Nancy mace Do you agree here then with comments from people like your colleague Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez that the Biden administration should ignore this ruling that the FDA should ignore this ruling Well I mean this is the judicial branch and we have a court system I do think that this is going to be relegated to the courts There are other lawsuits that are going on right now I would This is an FDA approved drug I support that usage of FDA approved drugs even if we might disagree It's not up to us to decide as legislators or even as the court system that whether or not this is the right drug to use or not Number one So I agree with ignoring it at this point but there are other lawsuits that are happening right now and other states as well over this issue but to look at the case itself when you look at the law that the judge used in ola that the Supreme Court said was unconstitutional This thing should just be thrown out quite frankly So you think the FDA should ignore this I would Yes I would This is an issue that Republicans have been largely on the wrong side of We have over the last 9 months not shown compassion towards women And this is one of those issues that I've tried to lead on as someone who's pro life and just have some common sense

Charlie Answers a Question About California Homelessness

"Question is related to homelessness for I'm from San Diego, but I do live out here on your Temecula. But in San Diego, our mayor Todd Gloria has worked with Gavin Newsom to start a conservatorship program where homeless people would be basically taken off the streets and given to the hands of government where they would be given prescribed medications provided housing provided psychological services all at the expense of taxpayers. On the surface, this program does seem like a good idea to someone who's not like us. But my question is, what is the conservative answer to addressing homelessness without using big government big brother to take them off the street and address their alcohol drugs and all their problems? That's a great question. So I mean, first of all, that program will be way over budget and totally messed up by the California government. But that's not that's not even going to be my answer. We don't have to think too deeply about it because conservative mayors like Rudy Giuliani, they've solved homeless Christ homeless homeless crisis. So let's okay, so which one of the 5 fake religions does this fall under the religion of tolerance? We should not have tolerance for public degeneracy or depravity of our streets. We should have compassion for the person and find healing for that person. But the activity I have no tolerance for somebody that goes around and exposing others with public nudity or publicly defecating. That act should be considered intolerable. So what is the conservative solution? You should draw very fine line. You should make it illegal. You have to throw them in prison. But yes, you should spend time and energy and resources to continually say you can't go there. You can't do that. This is not your street. You can't do that. And what New York City found under Rudy Giuliani is you had some messy 9 months, but you do it humanely. You expand the homeless shelters, but eventually the homeless learn the rules and they follow the rules and homeless went homelessness went down dramatically. You get more of what you subsidize. So if what you're telling me right now is the government is going to come in with housing and money, you're going to get more homelessness, not less homelessness. And finally, it's a very complex issue. I have spent some time in homeless encampments and going through it. There is a group of people there that, of course, are mentally going through struggles and they need help and they need compassionate care. However, this goes to the entire trans thing as well. We should not have to accommodate clean streets, safe streets, and a society that functions because of somebody else's problem.

After Nashville, Congress confronts limits of new gun law

"In the wake of the latest mass shooting, this one at a Nashville grade school. There are renewed calls in Washington for gun control, but no signs of anything changing. 9 months ago, President Biden signed a sweeping bipartisan gun law. It was a compromise that stopped short of banning assault weapons, but it required stepped up background checks that have blocked more than a hundred gun purchases so far and sent some 30 gun trafficking cases into the court system. But the president and New York congressman Jamal Bowman this week are calling for more from Republicans. After the covenant school massacre in Nashville. Nonsense. Trouble after lives of children, American children are being killed. Congress appears deadlocked on further action. House speaker Kevin McCarthy Thursday. Focused on the shooters, mental health. 52 years after capture, orca Lolita may return to Pacific

"An unlikely coalition has a plan to return Lolita, also known as toki and orca that has lived in captivity at Miami seaquarium for more than 50 years to her home waters in the Pacific Northwest. It could take 6 to 9 months or even longer to move the 57 year old 5000 pound orca closer to where it's believed her mother still swims. The aquarium CEO Eduardo albor says his daughter told him Lolita needs to move. I feel so bad. I have to go around with cry. The honor of the Indianapolis Colts, Jim irsay, says this is very close to his heart. I know Lolita wants to get to free waters. I don't care what anyone says, she wants she's lived this long to have this opportunity. Charles vinick with Friends of toki says moving toki Lolita is worth the $20 million price. "Wendy, can you start us off with some Bitcoin talk? Yes, we actually closed above $25,200 support and flipped it into resistance. And I'm excited. And the current crypto cap, including Bitcoin, is currently at about $1.13 trillion. So yay. And of course, open interest in Bitcoin futures hits yearly high of $12 billion, which makes sense because we have some positive price action. So the dollar value locked in the number of open Bitcoin future contracts is on the rise. Coin glass data shows a nominal value of open interest has reached a yearly high of 12 billion. And that's a 7% gain this month, which again makes sense. Positive price action. Increase in open interest means new money is flowing into the market, but doesn't reveal whether traders are positioning for gains or losses. For that, you can actually check there's a liquidation website you can check, forget what the name of it is offhand, but it'll show you who is getting wrecked. But anyway, for Bitcoin, new money seems to be getting in on gains considering the funding rate or the cost of holding bullish long, very short positions is flipped into green after spending most of the early parts of the Asia trading day in the red. And positive funding rates usually indicate a bullish trend as long as positions compensate short positions. I know that is a mouthful, but I'm excited about Bitcoin prices. Everybody else excited is Bitcoin going to a $1 million. What's going on? Will I see you smiling here? I just love the trade action here this morning. And Bitcoin might go to a $1 million one day. We'll talk about that later. There are some interesting notes for this morning, so Bitcoin is at its highest level in the last 9 months. "Brian? Up a half a percent for the ASX 200 slow start there, so we see how that develops. It looks like it's going to be a monster day in Asia. After a very strong rally on Wall Street, where the S&P 500 finished up 2.6% 92 points, 36 78 and just interestingly back up above the June lows of 36 66. The Dow up 2.7%, the NASDAQ up 2.3%. But the first 9 months were pretty rough on Wall Street. It was the worst performance during those first three quarters in a year since 1931. So you had people back in buying. A lot of that was due to oversold conditions. We had 97% of shares in the S&P 500 in the green today. The factors at play, those oversold conditions, along with extreme pessimism and low fund positioning, a very aggressive Federal Reserve. But today we had some bad news in economic data. So on that kind of thinking, bad news is good news. The ISM's factory gauge suggested the economy could be faltering, and that with falling inflation inputs, everything from shipping costs lower rents down and even selling prices of homes moving down month on month. It sort of puts the fed maybe into a possibly less aggressive position. So people went in and bought stocks. But that said, the fed bank of New York president John Williams came out with some tough comments and we'll get you those in just a moment. Matt maley represented the views of many at mail Miller tayback saying that they still see lower lows before the ultimate bottom is reached in this bear market. Let's take a look at some of the numbers for Asia. We see Hangzhou index futures up one and a half percent, even though we won't trade today. It's one of the two tomb sweeping holidays today. And no trading in China, it's the whole week off for the golden week holiday. And looking at S&P E minis moving up now about a tenth of a percent. The dollar was down, yields were down, yield on the ten year, 3.63%. Paul. Well, the fed should consider stopping its tightening campaign in November. This is the view from market veteran who coined terms like fed model and Bond vigilante. Spoke earlier with Bloomberg. I'm totally stumped mystified surprise that fed officials don't seem to acknowledge that just focusing on the fed funds rate as part of the monetary tightening cycle is a mistake when you also have QT two and you have a soaring dollar. These are very restrictive monetary developments. I think they got one more rate high coming in November and that'll be it because the financial stability issue will pop up as primary concern. Recent market turmoil reflected concerns that an aggressive fed would thrust the economy into a serious recession. He added that a hard landing isn't currently in his economic forecast and sees a growth recession continuing through year end. Brian. There will be those in jardin's audience that would not be receptive to those comments. New York fed president John Williams said the fed has yet to hike rates to levels that are restricting economic growth and that tightening still has a significant ways to go. Atlanta fed chief Raphael bostic added that a fundamental shift in global sourcing strategies creates more pressure. Elevated inflation today is the most pressing issue facing monetary policy makers. And by creating long-term upward price pressure then, secular shifts in supply chain management could present additional challenges for monetary policy makers during a period of already elevated inflation. In the meantime, Richmond fed president Thomas barkin said that a post pandemic economy could potentially lead to more inflationary headwinds. Edwin's that would require tighter monetary policy. He noted that geopolitical risk has changed energy availability and demographic trends are less favorable now. Barkan said that firms may prioritize resilience over efficiency going forward. 5 minutes past the honor now time for a check of global

"Largest team of search and rescue experts in recent history. Because so many of the rescuers need to take place now need to be there in place now in the water now. In the United States coast guard has been deployed as well. 6 fixed wing aircraft 18 rescue boats and crews, 16 rescue helicopters, which were in the air all day yesterday and are added again today. Working with the Defense Department, the National Guard, state and local first responders, they've rescued a 117 people on Southwest Florida coast in Fort Myers in Naples so far. Just this morning, I spoke personally with the lieutenant commander of the coast guard, Christopher hooper, who was leading the search and rescue operation there. He emphasized, this is one fight. Everyone working together, coast guard, Defense Department, customs and border patrol, Florida fish and wildlife, local officials. They're doing everything they can to rescue people. He said, mister president, we will not rest at night until we know they're safe and sound. He talked about how they rescued a 94 year old woman. Who had the courage to be hoisted up onto a helicopter. The wind blowing, and as well as a one month old baby. Not the same time, but a one month old baby as well. And so much in between. He also spoke to aviation survival to Iowa houses, both JVs and survival second class technician. Second class, Zach lesh. Who described how difficult the decision is for people to leave everything and come to safety. I told him how proud of him I was. And thanked him for all the work he and his coasties are doing to save lives. I'm grateful for the brave women and men federal state and local folks working so hard. They're all working as one team. Here that from the governor as well as from the federal folks, in the past 24 hours, my administration has approved four more counties in Florida for individual disaster assistance. In addition to the 9 counties, we had announced yesterday. And what that means is the federal government will cover as covering every cost. 100% of the cost to clear the massive debris left in the wake of the hurricane and these counties. And all needs to be cleared out for communities to begin the hard work of trying to get back on their feet. That declaration also means that we will cover all the extra cost for emergency personnel who are saving lives and providing for public safety. Because phone lines and Internet might go out, fema is registering people directly directly to be able to get help. They're setting up disaster recovery centers and shelters all across the state. So we can get survivors registered for the help they need as quickly as they can possibly get it. And if you can't get to a center, we're sending out mobile teams in the communities to meet people where they are. Getting the power back on is also critical. I want to recognize and this is, I think, impressive. 44,000 utility workers and restoration personnel from 33 states in the District of Columbia were working around the clock to help get power back on

Thank you Brian, what a day for stocks. Yeah, and it looks like a down day for Asia, mostly lower here at this moment earlier U.S. stocks saris tumbled to their lowest now since November of 2020. More fed officials struck a hawkish tone and turmoil in Europe weighed on markets as well. We'll have details on the fed speak in just a moment. The S&P 500 down 2.1% the NASDAQ falling 2.8%, hit hard by Apple, the iPhone maker saw a key downgrade and Bloomberg reported a top executive was leaving the company after some crude remarks were made in a TikTok video. We'll get to that a little bit later as well. Stress emerging in the interest rate swaps market and leverage buyout deal was shelved today. U.S. treasuries paired early losses the ten year yield is suffering now about 3.78%, the two year at 4.19%. So we had to bouncing yields after the respite yesterday. And the earnings not good. Nike sliding 10% in after hours trading, even after a beat, gross margins missing, and we'll also have details on that in a moment. Also a week forecast by micron. And that stock was down as well in after hours seeing it at the moment. Down about 1.6%. Briefly, dalyan won 44 45 and WTI has picked up a half a percent 81 66 a barrel rish. All right, well, let's get to the latest coming out of the fed with the officials reinforcing the hawkish tone that they've been really at the moment. I suppose it expounding upon in recent days. They're saying that they're going to be keeping hiking rates to cool high prices. Here is very president Jim bullard. If you look at the dots, it does look like the committee is expecting a fair amount of additional moves this year. I think that that was digested by markets and does seem to be the right interpretation. The volatility in financial markets reflected spillovers from recent events in the UK and that this will not cause the fed to pause its tightening campaign. Meantime Cleveland fed chief Loretta mester struck a similar turn saying rates are still not even in restricted territory, adding that the U.S. recession would not stop the fed from raising rates. And also Nike reporting profitability that was less than last year, a slight beat for this latest session, but Nike cited higher freight costs as well as markdowns in foreign exchange effects. The results came despite total revenue at 12.7 billion a beat of the estimate of 12.3 billion. Bloomberg's put him goyle tells us the results were just okay for Nike. The revenue feedback came and was entirely driven by promotions in North America. So they discounting to sell and that's something we don't want to see at the inventory they're up about 45% year over year, 15% quarter over quarter. That's too high. Nike sales down 16% in the Greater China region where the Chinese government's COVID zero problem is silicon concerned. And again, Nike shares are trading down 10.3% in after hours. All right, let's have a look at micro on the biggest U.S. memory ship manufacturer giving a weak forecast for the current quarter same sales would be about $4.3 billion. And this estimates were around about 6 billion demand being hurt by inflation and recession fears as well as the return to the office. Bloomberg's puller Panko telling us the stamp in the chip industry may be deepening. So you're seeing it in computers and PCs, the chips going into that, you're seeing it in iPhone cell phones and you're seeing it probably in the server business as well now. Micro shares actually dropping more than 4% in the extended session following that report. All right, the time is 5 and a half minutes past the hour. It's time for global news. The security concerns over U.S. diplomats in China and also the storm Ian has regained hurricane strength and is threatening to strike again. Let's get to Denise Pellegrini in the newsroom Denise. More than two and a half million without power in Florida at fema headquarters President Biden says federal government will help. Any nation who recognizes this is illegal annexation by Putin of parts of Ukraine will lose all assistance military and economic from the United States and will become marginalized throughout the world. And Graham speaking as Vladimir Putin vows to annex parts of Ukraine, Russia controls tomorrow. Meantime, some Republicans suggesting China may have used COVID lockdowns to pressure U.S. diplomats to reveal intelligence secrets. Bloomberg reporter Daniel flatley. Intelligence or other sensitive information may have been devolved as a result of some of the conditions in the quarantine. The U.S. embassy says China held 16 diplomats and family members involuntarily and representatives James comer and Michael McCall are asking Secretary of State Antony Blinken to investigate global news 24 hours a day on aired on Bloomberg quicktake powered by more than 2700 journalists and analysts in more than a 120 countries. In the newsroom I'm Denise Pellegrini, this is Bloomberg, right? All right, thanks very much, Denise 7 and a half minutes past the hour Lewis Lau is our guest for this half hour director of the investments group at brandis investment partners. So a lot of a downward push today. We had strong commentary again from fed officials and the earnings not looking so good. It's pretty tough to be positive here, Louis. How are you thinking through it? Yeah, I think the markets are in for a difficult time in the next 6 months. I think the fed is going up against the strength of the U.S. labor market and the strength of the U.S. consumer. And at some point, one of these things is going to crack and so until we see a pause in the fed, I think it's difficult to be constructive except maybe for defensive sectors like healthcare. It's quite something that is when you had Loretta messed up just talking in saying that she would carry on increasing the cost of borrowing, hiking rates, even if the U.S. economy was in a recession. The thing is, how much pain are they really willing to tolerate? You know, I think you might see the unemployment rate go up from 3% to maybe at around 5, which is a pretty big increase in a short amount of time. I mean, you've seen mortgage rates go to 6 to 7%, which is something that has rarely been seen. And so I think unfortunately, a lot of the global central banks are leaning on the inflation fight and less on supporting the economy because they think they have room. But until we get to that point of weakness, I don't think the central banks are going to blink. But again, it just depends on how fast we get to that point of weakness. What do you make of Jim bullard's comments about, quote, the markets getting the message? Is the fed openly targeting markets? You know, there's been a pretty big adjustment in expectations in the last one or two weeks. About how long inflation is going to be. I think right now expectations are inflation might not slow down until 2024. The previous expectation is 2023 and the markets were expecting sometime in 23 that the fed might start

"Moved to make this a major election issue China has denounced the WHO director general for his criticism of China's COVID zero policy calls for him to make more reasonable views and refrain from making irresponsible comments U.S. defense secretary Lloyd Austin says today that Russian president Vladimir Putin does not want to escalate the war into a conflict with NATO and U.S. House lawmakers then approving a new $40 billion aid package California's carbon market is supposed to be a model for the U.S. but nearly ten years after the cap and trade began has major critics on both sides of the issue and they say it has not done much in San Francisco Ahmed Baxter This is Bloomberg art Rashad All right let's get back to our guests I've seen your investment strategist at the Edward Jones Okay with what we've been talking about with the fed and looking also at these elevated commodity prices though they have ratcheted down slightly how does it alter the way that you look at markets and how do you actually at the moment navigate all this Yeah great point And look we've done some analysis that shows over time historically when inflation does peak like this or get to a high headline inflation Let's say over the last since 1945 when it is over 5% it takes about two two and a half years for inflation to go from peak to trough During that time yields do tend to peak and we do start to see ten year yields come down by a hundred basis points or so So really what we're looking at is this backdrop of potentially moderating growth whether or not we hit a recession Yet to be seen depends on how aggressive the fed needs to be But really we do expect inflation to come down but it will take some time before we probably get back to that two to 3% headline inflation rate that we were used to over the last ten years In this backdrop we would say the defensive positioning we were talking about earlier continues to make sense in the near term For us it feels like if you cash right now does have a slightly negative yield if you have money to invest you should probably think about areas of the market that are defensively oriented and equities that would probably be some of those recession proof slash ability to pass on pricing sectors like healthcare like consumer Staples to some extent Even utilities you're going to have to pay utility bills You're going to have to get your healthcare You're going to need Staples at some point And again the bond market is interesting here as well And we think the risk reward has gotten much more attractive especially in the investment grade space And what part of the curve Mona What part of the curve the belly Probably belly but even starting to look at the longer end if we do see that rollover in inflation that we would expect over the next few months We'd need to see that play out in a more meaningful way That will give us some stability probably a peak in yields and then a move downward But adding a bit of duration over the next one to two quarters could be an opportunity I think generally speaking we still see rates kind of remaining grinding higher They tend not to peak until the fed stops raising rates that you usually get a quarter peak quarter ahead of the fed stopping raising rates So you could get a move to three three and a half percent on the ten year but after that perhaps you see some stabilization So clearly what's interesting is there's been a meaningful adjustment to ten year yields doubled this year and four months Do we see that case annualizing probably not And that's where we get a little bit more stability or at least less downward pressure on bonds Do you wait for valuations on equity markets to fall further Because even now by historic standards the S&P 500 is essentially trading at an average rate really an average valuations if you take a longer term view And if so what do you then look at or do you actually perhaps get in now and get there for the medium to long term Yeah You make a good point in evaluations we have come down substantially So the valuation compression has been there We started the year closer to 21 times on the S&P on forward earnings for close to 16 times So it's about a 25% compression And usually when the fed starts raising rates you get actually you only get about a 20% on average compression So we've moved beyond the average But historically when yields are around 3% we're closer to 14 to 15 times on the S&P which implies potentially another 6 to 12% downside So we may not get there and markets can overshoot in either direction but certainly we're not at the troughs in terms of valuation But generally again if we start to see what really what we think about is what would make the market stabilize and even move higher meaningfully And it's really the inflation picture that comes first and foremost for us We have to see a more meaningful downward movement in inflation over the next few months for the market to start to work for a lot of for a lot of investors But broadly I.

"It looks like our weather is going to be pretty steady. I guess not much change day to day. Over the next several days, we did have some big thunderstorms hit Lancaster in southeast Dallas County and then also it's Stockyards area just north of downtown Fort Worth. Yesterday did a little low wind damage. Today. Less likely. Mostly sunny, breezy, hot and humid, high of 95 south winds. 5 to 15 low Tonight 76 High Tomorrow 94. There are four bullet points haircut lays out the first to include increasing the amount of electric power generated in purchasing more power reserves. The other two are releasing power reserves to meet customer demand. And being able to obtain additional power reserves during uncertain weather forecast. "Do if we're in default of in trouble. We know we don't have to let her home go to foreclosure and truly ruin our credit. There's options for us as consumers. Save our home or to re negotiate. Do a loan modification is a lot of options we now know about. So that's what we don't feel like. This is gonna be another 2009 10 11. We also know that interest rates they're not going to stay this low. But then you've also got the forces of If they go up, it's gonna affect your affordability. Ineffective affordability dramatically and it's also gonna affect the number of buyers entering the market. So if you're thinking of by now is probably the best time over the next 6 to 9 months because we see that interest rates. Artificially low and at some point they're going to go out, particularly as we continue to see the virus vaccine and roll of rollout. Everybody getting that and then if that happens, we think that there's going to be more movement and improvement in the economy, which will push those interest rates back up. We also know that as Homebuyers stop entering the market. If interest rates go up, there's a slowdown in the number of buyers coming back in the market that's going to slow down interest in You're home. So if you're selling, this will be probably the time to stop. We know it's smarter to act based on what you know and not what you're hoping for. But I also know from talking to a lot of consumers and real estate agent that I coach that the other question right now is inventory. Interest rate. That's question number one. You know, they're not gonna stay this low forever. Inventory is low, and that was a surprise to a lot of us this past year. We know inventories low. We recognize that we're in multiple been situations were having a tough time for some of our buyers finding them the right property, which again that's great for sellers is not great for a virus. Lot of my buyers are after Nick, can you find me off market property, and I want to be very clear about what we can and can't do. There's no such thing any more as they used to call the tapes when people make an asset managers, estimation companies work. Selling properties invoke and real estate. They were going into foreclosure, and then you could buy them off market. What now is the standard procedure for almost every bank that we've researched? Every short sale that we've looked into is that the bank He asked. The managers want them on the open market. They want them on the Emma left and why they want them on the MLS. That goes out to all the website. Then you're going to see them everywhere. That means that the bank was going to get the best possible price. And so they want to get it off the books for as much as they can, because that's a lost to them. So that the days of you being able to kind of sneak in under the radar and get a property before the well thought that's not gonna happen, But you're actually guilty agent can do this for you. They can go out and target property owners in the neighborhood that you want to buy it and they've got some great tools. And except for that, we've got some tools right on the exit. Add center, some separating our CRM to get in touch with these people whether the people are in distress. Maybe. Unfortunately, they're experiencing divorce or health issue or they're just a general cellar that hasn't put their property on the market. Yet. We as except rogue agents want to get a hold of those people say, Hey, there are buyers looking in your neighborhood. We've got to communicate your needs to your exit realty agent and the actual room. James has got to communicate that needs their database. Social media. Even I'm talking on social media about what I need right now, any sellers that are default. Ought to probate, a state attorney's Anybody even get a hold up to say, I've got a need. Who do you.
