"You buy and pay nothing for two years. Call 866 -90 -nation or online at windownation .com. It's 828. Traffic and weather on the 8th time to check that commute with Rita. And a lot of our earlier problems have cleared out of the roadway but we're left with a lot of delays. Let's start out on the Beltway in Virginia. Inner loop slows out of Springfield headed past 236 in Annandale then out of Tysons headed past the Dulles toll road. You're also finding slowdowns coming off of I -95 in Maryland toward the Baltimore Washington Parkway. Again in Prince George's County coming from Route 50 headed past 202 and 214 Central Avenue and then from St. Barnabas Road across the Woodroy Wilson Bridge. Your outer loop delays are off of 95 toward Georgia Avenue then from I and -55 off of 270 before 28 trying to make your way onto the outer loop toward the American Legion Bridge. If you're in Virginia on 66 eastbound delays through Manassas and again from the Fairfax County Parkway headed past Route 50. If you're on 28 in the northbound direction coming from 66 that delay takes you all the way to Westfields Boulevard. The left lane is blocked there with the wreck. We had an earlier wreck on Loudoun County Parkway at Dulles West Boulevard and also one on eastbound 7 after Hamilton Station Road. That one had been along the left side. On the Baltimore Washington Parkway southbound near Greenbelt Road that was the bus crash with a single lane getting you by however delays are easing back. You will find it slow from headed 198 to Powder Mill Road. Have the heart of service Montgomery County Police are hiring. Permanent shifts, 4 day work week, high salaries and a $20 ,000 hiring bonus. Traffic and weather on the 8th. First over to Ian Crawford this morning in the WTLP Traffic Center. We have issues new in Virginia, Dean. Always start their 95 sound plan after you've hopscotched past the work zone near Quadico exit exit 148. Heads up for more crash activity near Stafford and exit 140. Just after that, heading toward the Centerport Parkway. That's where we have the crash activity blocking a right lane. Northbounders, you may still have some cones in the road near Lorton over on the left side. Should be a single right lane getting by actually. On 395 cones, the if I can get my screen to come back to me here real fast, the cones still in the road on the ramp for exit 8C for Route 1 in Crystal City and that ramp remains blocked. 66 Eastbound work should still be on going after Fair Oaks and it's going to be a right lane getting by and then after 123 a left lane getting by and then near the Capitol Beltway should be two right lanes blocked by the ongoing work. The Capitol Beltway, the outer loop work after Route 7 is a left lane to get by and the ramps to 66 remain blocked. Maryland Beltway, they are picking up the cones inner loop after Colesville Road, actually they're way at the the other end of the work zone after New Hampshire Avenue so it's going to be a slow process picking those cones up along the left side. 50 Eastbound after Kenilworth Avenue, it will be a single lane to get by the ongoing work. All this week WTOP's Jason Fraley is counting his down top 10 new shows of 2023, the only rule the series had to debut in 2023. Number seven on his list this Wednesday morning, the reality comedy Jury Duty on Amazon Prime video. You've heard of 12 angry men, but imagine 11 phony jurors tricking one rotten sucker. That's Ronald Gladden who thinks he's on jury duty but is really surrounded by improv actors pretending to be jurors in a fake trial. This is literally feels like reality TV. Filmed like The Office with handheld cameras and giveaways to interviews, the kooky jurors are a riot as James Marsden plays himself as a cocky movie star. It's all laughing at someone else's expense like the Joe Schmo show, but is 100 grand really worth the embarrassing gotcha finale? Marsden better keep in touch. I'm WTOP's Jason Fraley, ranking jury duty number 7 on my best new shows of 2023. Listen all week for Jason's take on the best shows of 2023. Good stuff to check out. "Time for the fine things you need to know to start your day up first, global stocks are higher this morning after strong manufacturing data out of China. But Jeff curry, Goldman Sachs, head of commodities research, says China's rapid rebound could spell trouble in the oil market. Global oil demand contracted 2% in the fourth quarter of last year. That's a recession in my book. And that, that created the spare capacity in oil, metals, and everything. And in that manufacturing data that came out this morning says, we're starting to reverse that. As China comes back, we're going to lose that spare capacity, and we're going to be back to the same problems we had before. But even much worse because we haven't invested. Jeff curry says, China is strong data brings energy security back into focus this year. In the meantime, Karen questions about the origins of COVID-19 are adding to U.S. China tensions, FBI director Christopher ray now says the virus most likely came from a lab incident in Wuhan. You're talking about a potential leak from a Chinese government controlled lab that killed millions of Americans, and that's precisely what that capability was designed for. FBI director Chris ray says that it has been his agency's assessment for quite some time his comments come after a similar read from the energy department. While turning to the markets now, Nathan investors are looking to turn the page on a dismal February for stock and Bloomberg Steve rapoport joins us live with more Steve good morning. Good morning, Karen and Nathan. February is in the rearview mirror and investors hope the markets march on to better days. The S&P 500 lost 2.6% last month, the NASDAQ dropping 1.1%. Traders kicked off 2023 with a dose of optimism as stocks soared in January, the momentum freezing once investors realized inflation isn't cooling to the level the Federal Reserve wants to see. The fed last month raised its benchmark interest rate for the 8th time in a year, live in New York, I'm Steve rappaport, Bloomberg daybreak. Steve thinks as you've been hearing Tesla holds its annual investor day today, the EV makers expected to announce plans for a manufacturing plant in Mexico, we could also get an update on the CyberTruck. Meanwhile, Nathan, thanks didn't go as well. At Goldman Sachs investor day yesterday, CEO David Solomon was flustered by questions about the future of Goldman's consumer banking division. I know that everybody wants answers to things that I clearly I can't answer that. I can't answer that question. And following comments from CEO David Solomon on Goldman Sachs investor day, the firm's stock was down about 4% yesterday. And that's the 5 things you need to know to start your day.
