Is being able to admit when, um you're wrong or, at the very least, you've been educated in the other direction. I have said on the show multiple times that, um if you're on the Internet or on Craig's list, and you're there to get a hit, man, that's not a hit man. That's the FBI. Or the police. Okay and 99.9999% of the time I would be correct. But, um, not in this instance apparently So there is a twist on this story. So, um, there was a story that, uh, from last week where residents of a neighborhood in Where is this Humboldt, California. Humboldt County. We're very, very sad because there had been a peacock living in the neighborhood. And, you know, obviously peacocks or Fun to look at, but they are obnoxiously loud and they can be get a little angry with you as well. But somehow Peacock had made its way in the neighborhood. And so the residents would take pictures and they named it. Uh, Mr P. Was, I think the peacocks name and and somebody shot Mr P. They were very sad. All right. So this is where the story gets crazy. According to authorities. Um there was a posting on Craigslist. On June 13th just two weeks before Mr P was gunned down. On the streets of Humboldt County. Where somebody was soliciting a peacock assassin. Right. So the somebody was looking for a peacock assassin. Because apparently the peacock was, uh Very, very annoying to somebody and There would be awakened by the calls of the peacock and it was they just they were sick of it. They would put up with today more, but they also didn't want to do the dirty work themselves. And the The ad said. Quote. Please contact me so we can form a strategy to eliminate the bird and agree on compensation. So now police don't know somebody then reached out to that individual and then took the hit job. And then whacked the peacock. But somebody killed the peacock. And so now police are attempting to trace through who posted it. Um, I guess, um, the same post. Showed up by Craigslist was also put on a local board called Lost Coast Outpost. And at that time the people run that board identify the person who posted the ad. Who refused to answer questions and also demanded to know if that's even a crime to solicit a peacock assassin. And police haven't arrested anyone yet. So I don't know. Maybe it is. Maybe it isn't But somebody whacked the peacocking for once. A hiring of a hit man on the Internet may in fact, have not been the FBI tricking you. So on in that instance, I guess I stand corrected. So most of us 51% believe UFOs reported by military personnel are likely evidence of intelligent alien life. There's a new Pew research poll. So, um Why? Why does this matter? Um well matters for, I guess a number of reasons, but Most of all of it. Prioritizes what? What is quote unquote, a conspiracy theory. You know, and what is okay to openly suggest or do research about? The new poll survey 10,000 adults, uh, this happened actually in June ahead of the release of the UFO report, but people knew it was coming. About 65% of respondents, so they think there is intelligent alien life on planets other than Earth. About? 87% said. UFOs aren't a security threat to the US at all. Or only represent a minor one. Now this is the thing I don't get. 87% of people feel that if there is, in fact some somebody cruising around the technology that we can't even fathom. Right? We We have no understanding of 87% of you out there think that's not a problem. Or is a potential at least for to be a pretty big problem. Because I don't. I don't know if you pay attention to how complex it is just to do things like go into low Earth orbit or go to the moon. Um or Cindy Rover two bars.
