"We're taking your calls, though, at 84458 Oh, 9326844 or 58? Oh, 93 to 6. Got big Ben Stout here with me at Big Social 32 got Roger fits here with me as well at night. Bingle. You can find all the rest of our content on Nightline. Sports com We're obviously talking UCF sports. It's called Nightline. It's Nightline at night. Uh, how you guys doing through an awesome through an awesome I'm excited. I'm sure you are. Just stay over there on that side of the studio, my friend. Okay, So you CF wins over Boise State very late at night. Uh, 36 31. Man. Was that ever like kind of a weird deal? I will never forget that when? In fact, I was thinking back, and I was thinking about that Marshall game a few years ago. I don't know if you guys live that or or whatever, but But that game was insane. This one had the same field to me just because of like not being able to get into the stadium kind of heads a little bit of air of F A U as well when we were down there, and we couldn't get into the stadium, we stood outside, forever and ever. So there was some extra time to do some drinking. There was some extra time to to do all kinds of crazy stuff. So finally we got in there, though, 9 45 I think is when kickoff was And then then it turned even more crazy. Uh down, 21. Nothing. D G throws two interceptions. Uh, Somebody take over the first. What? You just mentioned it that I just I did watch the game from my couch. I was there and then and then we had to go home in the first delay. But that being said, watching that first interception. I mean, really rough Start for D G. And I just think that that kind of got the momentum swinging towards boys these direction really early on. It was a nightmare of a start. Kind of the rest of the team. Kind of fed off of that interception that pick 6 100 yards and thank God that ultimately didn't cost us because I think that if we were to wind up losing that game, I think that would have been a big big contributing factors. So thank good. Thank goodness. He bounced back pretty well. Yeah. I mean, for me. It was a moment of you know, we talked about the lines last week and how important they were going to be And the second piece of this was adjustments. Uh, if this was Josh Heiple, I'm not confident we would have won that game. I'm not confident we would have made it close. Uh, But clearly guns talked about it. The defense made adjustments. The offense made adjustments and clearly they they were the right ones. So I was very excited about that. All right, well, speaking of Gus talking about it, here's what he had to say..

The jacks are going to be one of the 3 to 4 worst teams, and they're not gonna be the worst team. Houston is gonna be the worst team in the NFL this year. It's gonna be Houston. Detroit. I don't think it's going to be very good. Do I have friends that work? In the NFL that have said to me. Hey, hold on, Nick. Detroit might actually be good. I'm not there. I can't do it. Right? Don't Jacksonville is not going to be very good this year. They don't have they? They do not have an NFL roster. They're missing a lot of guys. So, as I say that Understand when I say that Jamis Winston is absolutely dealing right now understand? A. It's preseason be. Jacksonville is going to be one of the three worst teams in the league this year. He just threw his second touchdown he's thrown in Baltimore Kez Calloway. Jamis is nine of 10 for 123 yards and two touchdowns. If this is the Jamis Winston that you are going to get and obviously Go back to the two points that I made earlier. Three words teams in the league. Second preseason game. Lot of the guys that are playing in this game right now, and we bagging groceries at public. They're going to be handed out milk crates to people to do the challenge. In a couple of weeks. But this is a different Jamis Winston. It looks like Passes are Chris. They're on target. Watch him throw a backbreaking interception. At some point. I'm just to complete the Jamis Winston experience, but This has been a very good look for Jamie's says he is competing. He's in one of the five real quarterback competitions in my mind. We mentioned New Orleans..

So, uh, where they would get milk cartons, milk crates. For the milk crate challenge Because I don't know where you would go. We have a caller on line one. Keith is on line one, Keith, your live local allowed. Appreciate the call, man. Educate me here a little bit about the milk crates. Well, I've worked for teaching early and I've worked for Coca Cola. I can tell you, uh, a ton of them are acquired by the five finger discount. Alright, people, the story just toss him out back to be out of the way and people walk by dropped at night. Load up. Okay, It's that easy, so people are just finding these in in alley books. It's all right. That's it. Behind the WalMart behind Publix, Stack our publics his way, you know, and people just grab by and load up. Alright There we go. Alright, Keith, Man, appreciate the phone call. Thank you. All right, all right. He's got it for us. All right, so it's just they're laying around places. That's I think that's what coaches told me. It was gonna look apparently, Yeah, You just got to look around. Apparently now now what will happen? This is like when you buy a new car. And you think? Wow, that's a great car. I haven't seen this car before. And then you see the car that you bought everywhere. I will see milk crates everywhere. Now. Everywhere that I walk. My God, You're right. Yes, I I have to go to Publix tomorrow. Sam's Club the day after I will see milk crates everywhere now, okay? So there we go. I still by the way going back to this milk Crate Challenge. I don't know how people are just going to the hospital left and right. They're walking up this thing you showed me a video of a woman walking in heels. Yeah. Yeah. Physically more injuries in this thing. Yeah, like this isn't not needed not need. I'm glad that we aren't seeing. It just seems like there should have been more. This isn't like the planking challenge where people were just laying prone on things flat and like that didn't take any effort. This has real danger. People. All right. You want to get in touch Candidate 4458 Oh, 93 to 6. Also in the open mic in the WWF opened my question tonight. By the way, Tell us what milestones. In sports still matter. We've got a few open mics will get to hear just a little bit later, Miguel Cabrera hit his 5/100 home run over the weekend. Much of the amazement of what felt like no 1 28 player, Major League baseball history. It is 5/100 home run, and I feel like everyone's like, Yeah. Good job, Mickey. Yeah, just man. You don't really well done. What? Remedy over the fence. 5 500 defense thing. Cool 500. That's a lot. What? Really amazed me. He's only the sixth player in Major League baseball history. Born outside of the United States, they hit 500 home runs. That's a number that's gonna probably climb as time goes on to, which is really cool. Yeah, I would think so. The game has become just so international. I'm surprised. It's only six. I mean, obviously, obviously Albert Pool Hall Sammy Sosa on that list. I just It amazed me that it was only six. But you're right. I mean, think about some of the great international players in baseball right now. That number is going to go up. It's going to go up. Um As as time goes on, we're two weeks into the preseason. And I think there's about five. Chris. I went through five legitimate quarterback competitions right now, like I I went through the league. And you know, like you can talk about a quarterback competition, talking about Trevor Lawrence a little bit later at 8 35. I don't think that's a legitimate quarterback competition. I'm not going to include that you talk about Carolina and the fact that P. J. Walker And will Greer taking more snaps and Sam Donald Tsang Donald's jobs right job right now, Right? The jet Zach Wilson. Zach Wilson is going to be the starter week one even though they haven't named the starter, But there are five teams right now. That I think have legitimate quarterback competition. So what do you say we go through? And go and and break down where we currently stand. All right, let's do it. I want to start with the Patriots because of the news today, Cam Newton is barred from the facility due to some sort of confusion. For a test he had to have after the game, So he's not going to be able to join the Patriots until Thursday. But on one hand you've got Matt Jones used the 15th overall pick on you've got Cam Newton..

"On the magic mechanic radio show I'm Kevin rate was filling in for Chris Crawford here on W. D. V. 0173 FM and am 5 80 Magic mechanic himself. Larry Perry is going to be answering all your car questions. You have car questions he has car answers. Call into the show right now, 84458 Oh, wdbo again, That is 844580 Wdbo, just like the radio station without further ado. Here's Larry Perry. Yeah. You know what? Before we start taking your calls again here, I'm going to tell her I want I want to tell a quick story. Uh and and you know, any base listen to the program knows that If we've got to replace an engineer a transmission in a vehicle if we can get it from Jasper, we're going to do our best. To install a Jasper engine or transmission in your vehicle. If the time ever comes that you need it. Well, you know, they got $100 a mile nationwide warranty. Uh, they pay labor. If you have a problem. I mean, it's just a good deal, not only for the shop, but for the consumer, you know, I mean, it's a real warranty. You get a lot of value for your money, and they really stand behind him. Well, we have these these customers. They brought this truck into us. I don't know. It's been quite a while back. I mean, this thing has went on forever. They've driven through some water and, um, it run the engine. It was a dodge with a hammy motor in it. And the insurance company. Come out finally. And, uh Wrote everything up and we told him said, You know, we'd like to put a Jasper engine back in it. They wouldn't hear of it. You know, they were ongoing by Jasper Motor, You know too much money. So they sent us a used engine. And we will go ahead and we installed the motor for the customer, and, uh, insurance company pays us to do the job, and the customer takes the vehicle and drives it for just two weeks. And the engine just for some reason or other blows a head gasket. And literally just fills the engine for corn. So this this motor this used engine is Ron. And the salvage yard doesn't want to make good on it for the insurance company. So we're sitting there like Well what? What can we do? You know? So, uh, finally, insurance guy, I guess that you know the the insured, uh, aggravated them to the point where they sent the adjusters back out. So the adjusters come back out, and they look at it, and they say Okay, well, they didn't take our word for it. They actually sent it to the dealer and let the dealer check it and say, Yeah, it's just got a bad head gasket wasn't anything anybody dead as far as installation goes. So they're like, OK, so this time they decided to step up and they decided to put in a remanufactured engine. Not a Jasper, but they sent us a complete remanufactured engine that we just got through installing in this truck. And guess what? It's got a rod knocking him over. Yeah, I'm sitting here and I'm like it's almost gotten to the point where it's hilarious watching somebody try to save a nickel. You know and what the torment and the aggravation and the extra cost that they wind up putting their self through over trying to save a nickel. I'm sitting there going it is just, you know, first time around. We told him put a Jasper at it. You know, then 57 Hemi Motors. They get the devil beat out of them, And by the time they wind up in a salvage yard, all the goods probably just about gone out of him anyway. You know, it's hard to save You'll ever get a good one or not, especially if it hasn't Adams oil in the engine. So you know they're going to send you something like that. And of course. What do you expect, you know, and then a salvage yard won't even stand behind it. I'm like, goodness gracious, who in the world wants to get yourself into them? Luckily for these people, I mean, they've done without their vehicle forever, And they're still going to be without it For a while. It looks like But the bottom line is, if you yourself are going to be replacing an engine or a transmission, you do not want to put yourself in a predicament like this. I am just telling you don't don't be as dumb as The Lizard insurance company because I'm telling you that that's just you're going to wind up driving yourself crazy when it comes to an engine or transmission. Spend that little extra money that warranty. Oh, my goodness. It's well worth it for 100,000 Mile. Don't don't ever Don't ever unless your brothers and an engine or transmission builder and you can trust them. 100% explicitly don't take a chance on the used or take a chance on somebody else's remand motor because you're probably going to wind up regretting it. All right, let's head out to. I wish you'd make a screen a little bigger. I'm getting old. I'm wearing glasses. So it's kind of hard for me to read this. No, we're going to Winter Springs. But other than that, I'm gonna be honest with you. I can't see the screen. You're going to have to blow this thing up a little bit for me. Should be used as a Spencer. Yep. Spencer there springs. Okay. I've got a magnifying glass up here to the screen. So that time Go ahead, sponsor right? Hey, I've got a 2000 and nine Audi a five with 3.2 liter V six about 100,000 miles on it had been struggling with currently for a while. I Had a major one. About a year and a half ago that front crossover pipe made out of plastic kind of exploded. So replace that But in the last few months I've noticed some coolant accumulating in the V of the engine. And it's using a little bit every month or so all off to top it off. I took off the intake manifold and just I don't see any clues. It's you know, there's a big plastic thermostat housing, and there's another big, wonderful plastic plate behind it. Nothing looks like it's leaking. Just wanted to see if you know of a common leak. Area. Those engines. What year? Did you say it was Spencer? It's the 2000 and 9 2000 and nine You know, it's the those plastic, um, housings and, uh, covers and outlets and all that stuff. You know what What happens is is you can pull all this down and you can look at it, but you need to pressure test everything with it down because what happens is is when it gets hot. And that plastic expands. Uh, it'll start seeping is usually what happens because the only other thing that you really got underneath that intake planning and stuff is just You know, the only other thing that could really leak would be a head gasket, you know, And if you don't see any corrosion or anything along the edges of the head down in that valley than you know, I doubt very seriously. It's anything other than just those plastic covers and you know, thermostat, housings and That plastic stuff. It's what takes up motors nowadays. Spencer, it's you know, I I recommend I would highly recommend to replace every bit of that stuff. Um, you know, You can, um just just make you a list of all that plastic stuff and replace every bit of it along with new thermostat and everything else. Probably with the age, you might want to consider going ahead and replacing all the cooling system hoses at the same time. You know, it's it's like this. If you don't do that, Um, you're just waiting for another piece of old piece of plastic. That's you know, sealing your cooling system to split and open up and start leaking. And you know, at this point, you know you've been seeping. You know, you've been losing a little bit, but you know, on on that car, I'm just telling you one good, severe overheat. It's the party's gonna be over. And what happens is you can look at that stuff. You won't see a thing leaking on. It won't see one thing like a night and then all of a sudden you get it to the right temperature, and it will expand And if there's a hairline crack in it or anything like that, that's when it starts licking. And all it's going to take is one of these days for it to seep enough to get low on coolant. And then the next thing you know, you get an overheat and like I said, that's you know you get you get that age of a car. It's almost not hardly justifiable to the expensive replacing the motor if you over hate it, So you're better off just a few $100 at it and replace all that plastic stuff. I don't care how difficult it is to do it. If you can't do it yourself, you.

"You were listening to live local and loud. Here's Nick and Jerry. Right, hanging out on a Wednesday night here on live local and loud. My name is Kevin refuse filling in for Nikki football tonight. Jerry Daniels is here as well. 84458. Oh, wdbo is the number are dubsdread teed up. Question of the night. What is the food? You only eat at the buffet You guys can weigh in on the open mic. I usually get the little fixations for my salad. Yeah. Sesame seeds, raisins. I don't necessarily eat those at all. But that kind of stuff, you know? Do you eat raisins at home? I do The reasons of thing. Is that the thing? Oh, yeah. I love raisins, and I know I might be in the minority there. But if it's in a trail mix before I ran my half marathon in Claremont earlier this year, one of the one of my pregame foods I had to literally like the sun dried box of raisins and I just ate one of those. So, uh, Yeah. No, they're definitely really good. And the taking of you flexing. I want to bring this up because we want to talk about flexing. The King of flexing says on Let me get my little flex off. All right. I gotta get something light once in a while. I want to give you a bigger flex opportunity. Because your normal format you don't get a chance to talk about this. But you've got a big award last week. Yeah, So can you talk a little bit about it? Because Pete, the listeners out there might not realize you're actually good. And you've been recently recognized for that? Yeah. Shouts of the Florida Association of Broadcasters. Associated Press was kind enough to name me as the 2020 best news anchor in Florida. I just got the award got the trophy officially, so Trying to figure out what I'm putting it, But, uh, you know, definitely the biggest moment of my career so far, so I'm you know, extremely grateful to everybody here, Wdbo, the Orlando's evening news crew. I'm not going to do a whole thank you speech, but you know everybody. No, no, but it's nice. You know to hear about it. So the one rule is you have to put it somewhere behind Where you do your zoom calls. Oh, yeah. So wherever you do your zoom calls It has to be behind you. Oh, yeah. You better believe every time I record the driving this NBA podcast now, which you can find everywhere on any podcast platform with myself and Justin Cozart or Powell up at ESPN. 6 90 in Jacksonville. You gotta please believe that it will be in the background every single time. Low key changed by Lincoln. As soon as I got the trophy as well, it was like, Hey, you know, listen, I got a little something to add to the resume. I am putting in the Twitter bio. I'm not going to be that guy. Promise you won't be that guy. No, I will, but shall be that guy Shout out to our guy Tony Marino as well. Who did do that? Yeah, who did do that and won an AP Award for his continuing coverage. Of the 2020 elections of cool stuff there, especially the pandemic year. Um, glad to be recognized again. Shout to the Florida Association of Broadcasters Lightning back on the power play. We're about 11 minutes left in the first period. Still nothing. Nothing. Montreal is on the power play that got killed off by the bolts. We'll see if they can cash in on this one. Their second power play already, of course, will be keeping an eye on that. Going back to the salads in the buffet is well, Mo just popped in here a little bit ago. We were talking about this in the open mic, where he mentioned the beats and stuff like that in the salad. Mo is the same way she says. She never eats beats anywhere else. But if she said a salad buffet, she's getting beats every single time. Yeah, That's a weird thing. It's like I I would never think of eating beets. Except for at a buffet. It's just like one of those things you just don't think of. Yeah, but when you look at a buffet, you're like that. Seems like something that I'm not going to die from eating. So Yeah, Beats is one of those items that just stands out. Speaking of stands out what else is behind you on that zoom call like what other things, are you? I know. Now you're putting that Association of broadcasters Award behind you on that zoom call. What else are you putting behind you So far? It hasn't really been anything crazy because a lot of times like I have a laptop standard record on my couch. So it just kind of has the pictures behind us of we have three pictures framed above our couch. Just places we've been like some of my favorite places that you know my girlfriend and I have gone together. So like we've got a picture from Big Sur, we've got a picture from Ireland and we've got a picture from. I forget the third one. Actually, Thermal might have just been mine. I think it's a Rocky Mountain National Um, So there's something get moved off for the trophy. No, the trophy goes next because they're hanging on the wall like I'm not going to hang the trophy on the wall. It's It's a, um so it'll it'll kind of go on like an end table thing behind me my thing at work. I don't zoom at work as much. But if you look at my desk at work where I work in the newsroom have, like six or seven Funchal Pops. I gotta be honest. I love those little things. Um, it's start collect. Yeah, And it started as just like I got a couple. Um, I've got Claude Giroux, the Flyers captain, I got Panos with the infinity gauntlet and I got the notorious B I G. And then it just started expanding like I had multiple people like Sam, for example, are Palestinian Albuquerque got me to pass because he said, I can't. I cannot biggie without Tupac. Um, I got Steve from stranger things when he's in the ice cream outfit because I love ice cream like that's why one thing If you know if there's nothing, anyone take that away from me with this show, I love ice cream like ice cream is my favorite. You are kind of an addict. Yeah. Oh, yeah, you're gonna get the chunky donkeys in your drug dealer is Kelly's. My drug dealer is Kelly's for Sure. Um, it is just they just might as well set up direct deposit to my account at this point, um, my cold, but you don't have the annual pass. I don't know how you don't have the annual pass. We'll have to make sure you get an annual pass for next year, so I gotta go. The neatest thing is that I have an annual pass for Kelly's. If I'm gonna cash in with you on any favor, it might be going behind the scenes there because I just I wanted like You know, I mean, what's that? Saying? It's like a kid in a candy store? I mean, I know it's kind of ironic with ice cream, but like I'm 30 years old, and I would be like in heaven. You just no names, but you just found out today..

"Oddest pair on the air. It's live local and loud back to Nick and Jerry. Hey, what's going on? Everybody I am Kevin refuse filling in for Nick Brenna wins tonight. Nikki football here on live local allowed. He's Jerry Daniels. The number 84458. Oh, wdbo. Jump straight up question tonight. What is the food that you only eat at a buffet? Let us know your thoughts on the wdbo Open mic. Want to go to the phone lines Now? Those calls in before we go to break got Winston in Altamonte Springs. What's going on Winston? How bout them Cowboys? Oh, gross, nasty, But hey, if they hired elusive, they hire Doug Peterson. It would be a great get for them. No doubt about it. You're right. You're right. You're right. But I called Pleasure that I always get every time I go to a buffet, and I have a want to be buffet. So my first want to be buffet is all you can eat Philly cheesesteaks from Jim's on South Street in Philly. Oh, baby, That's my first. That's my dream. And my my favorite thing you gotta buffet ever like, you know. Besides, the big fat yeast roll is a corn beef hash. I would ever eat Corby pash anywhere in the world unless it's sitting there with Some overcooked eggs in a buffet with corn beef hash That's so interesting. That's my pleasure. Okay, all right. I mean, that's definitely unique one. I gotta be honest. I am a little corn beef hash might scare me to buffet a little bit, but that Jim South Street comment. I mean, I agree. That might be my dream Buffet as well. Jim's on South Street is probably my favorite cheese steak spot in the city. I mean, obviously, there's a billion of them in Philly. But Jim's on South Street is no doubt about it. Unbelievable if they could cater and ship it here to Orlando. Listen, I'd be going crazy in the hallways if they had a cheese steak buffet. If someone from Jim's is listening, Polar Portillo has just come to Orlando to appease can And rape. You know, I want to give a shout out. I mean, in the General sense, Espadas. Only road is pretty damn good. It is. No, I genuinely, really likely spot is like un. Ironically, I'm not just saying that because Jerry likes it. Less bodies has a good cheesesteak that God Amarillo roles. They know what they're doing, And I mean, I got to get the shouts my friend Jerry, I'm going to do Jerry credit. If there's nothing else in and normally I messed with him, so this is going to be kind of this is a rare moment of me being serious with Jerry. I do genuinely appreciate Jerry's Orlando food knowledge. There are a lot of Spots because the spot is is kind of in a random strip mall like I wouldn't know where, like I would never think to stop there, and I went to the spot is the first time I got a cheese steak, and it was wonderful. It really, really satisfied with it, And that's not something that I always say down here in Orlando. You just like Orlando is a ton of great food, but there's just certain things where you've got to accept that it is what it is. It's just You know, different regions of the country, But yeah, let's spot is this great. They've got a great cheese steak. Lightning about to go on the power play got about five minutes down here in the first period game just got underway. Of course, Game five at Emily Arena. "Am, I don't really eat like roast beef outside of like a buffet, because, like they're just carving it in front of you like the carving stations. Unless it's a beefy king. Then then you gotta have the roast. Yeah, obviously. And then I don't know if this is sacrilegious, but like The ice cream is probably the best like the soft serve, you get it yourself. Vanilla Ice cream is the best ice cream you can get. Well, the thing with soft serve, and then I agree with here is I don't even really necessarily think that's not much of a hot take. It doesn't need to be fancy to be good for soft serve like McDonald's soft service. Delicious like if I go to a ball game back home in the boardwalk, get a core brothers twist cone with soft serve, that's crazy. Now, as Jerry will attest, it's no Kelly's ice cream. But listen, when soft serve you gotta do in a pinch. There's nothing wrong with that. By the way, can I yell at the guy or girl? Who goes into Jason's deli. It just goes and get a soft serve ice cream cone and then leaves. Yeah, I know it's free, but it's not really free. No, it's free for people who eat their don't walk into the restaurant. This is yet a soft serve and walk out. Well, yeah, it's the people who go and get you know, they say, Oh, can I get a cup of water, then fill it up with soda like I get it. But it's just it's not ethical. It's not ethical behavior, like if something else get a salad, get a little sandwich. The people that do that I kind of just look at them and I'm like I don't I don't trust you. Well, yeah, You sure zero trust there, and it's not like I'm gonna like I'm not going to grill you or chase you down or something like that. It's over a little bit of soda. It's not my soda, but it's just kind of like it's a little bit of an on that That's great, good cause of pride, people. It's what people you have to have some pride people. Yeah, it's ridiculous. Oh, yeah. I mean, exactly. That's what I mean. It just reflects poorly on yourself like I don't think there's going to be anyone who sits out there. That's over the age of like, 15 years old, and it's like, Yeah, you stuck it to McDonald's. You took that sprite instead of the water, Just like what do you do, like? Grow up? What are we doing here? Yeah, it's a fun gimmick at like. 14. But when you're like 24 to 30, it's kind of like all right, dude, like plus now, like having the restaurant workers been through enough with the pandemic going on because we're getting back out like that's the one thing is, people go back to out to eat, like treat your servers with some respect. You should have been doing that anyway. But here we go. One more buffet topic. When we come back, I'm going to tell you the 10 things and then these two are going to guess it. The 10 biggest party fails. When it comes to buffets. Now that we're getting back into the world of buffet, okay, Wow. 10 fails, but I didn't know there were 10 fails about face so research show and I are going to have a fun time with this one. We're going to hack our way through it. Kind of like Tom Brady was hacking his way through the second half of the match. Our two is coming up next. We're live local allowed. 84458. Oh, wdbo. "Birthday. Chris of Mel Brooks, one of my favorite directors of all time. Are you Mel Brooks Movie fan 1995 years old. I would not have guessed that. Yeah, I I got to be honest when I saw Mel Brooke's birthday, 95. I had to check. Had to check to make sure before I brought this up that he was still with us, But, yes, he is. He's he's still with us. And he's 95 years old. Do you have a favorite Mel Brooks movie? Are you a Mel Brooks movie fan? I mean, I'd have to, like, actually be reminded of some of his classics, Right? Like he was blazing saddles, right? Yeah. Blazing saddles. 100% is my favorite. I think that would probably be most people's. I'd love to go through actually a tomography. Let me see if I can find one here. But that's definitely I mean, that was the first thing that came to mind. Yeah, I mean, like, we'll pull. Uh we'll pull will pull some of them up here, but I mean, The Mel Brooks movie and we can go through some. They would never make any of these movies today with with the way that our culture is the way that society is the way that was, I want to just I don't want to talk about cancel culture by the way that people react online. You. You couldn't make any of these like you, you wouldn't be able to make, um You wouldn't be able to make blazing saddles. It just wouldn't just wouldn't happen and he is one of the One of the finest movie makers, You know, obviously Spaceballs, you throw out there is an unbelievable one. The producers in unbelievable movie too. We mentioned Robin Hood men in tights. He did Robin Hood men in tights too. So yeah. 95 years old. Mel Brooks turns today and, uh, like I said, just someone up some of my favorite movies that he has done, my father and I, uh Many times growing up have watched the movie blazing saddles and like I'm headed, I'm headed out of town. On Thursday. I'm headed up to Michigan to spend some time with some family for the fourth like I do. Every single year and blazing Saddles was one of the movie one of the movies every single summer that we would watch and It's outstanding movie is an outstanding comedy. It is made to laugh. It is made, You know, I understand. You know, I understand some of the messages in that movie may not translate well to today, but, um It doesn't make it any less funny to me. All right, you can get in touch 84458 Oh, 93 to 6. Also in that open mic in the W W up, Let's get into this Tom Brady topic because you and I talked last week about HBO's the shop, and they tease the Tom Brady interview that he didn't work. We are getting a lot more Tom Brady over the last. I don't know, a year 18 months or so, Chris than we did during the ballot for the New England Patriots run, haven't we? Yeah, they're really thrown. He's kind of opening up his shell. A little bit, which we've talked about before, it said is the longer he's gone on his career. He's been a little more open to taking little potshots at you know other teams, coaches, everything like that. Which we we've seen out of, You know, players as they age out, they kind of get a little more free and loose with the media because they've been around them for so long. So, you know, I mean, I'm here when somebody has been one guy who we feel like we just gives no Personality, right? Even in that Facebook miniseries, it all felt fake. It all felt big, and you heard that. Like what he said. And that Syrian the HBO shop was that if you heard another clip, all of it is fake. He was like I lie almost all the time because I just don't know how to speak freely. So him being able to now speak freely could be fun and interesting. Yes, No. Yes, He mentioned that during this interview to he said that basically everything he says 90% of it at the podium. He's trying to be disinterested. He doesn't want to say anything, which we all knew. I mean, that's that's what Brady has done throughout his career and hearing him admitted at least at least. Well, Now we know that it's on purpose, but The quote that everyone is running with Now, of course, is, um, the one about his free agency where Brady said quote there was a story in free agency, one of the teams they were interested, and then all of a sudden They weren't interested at the very end. And I was sitting there thinking you're sticking with that bleep. Er Are you serious? And then they went on further, and Brady said. Absolutely. When I look back, I'm like there's no bleeping way I would have went to that team. But they said they didn't want me and I know what that means. I know what that feels like, and I'm going to bleep you up because of that. First of all, It's an unbelievable look into the mind of Tom Brady, which I think Brady might be one of the closest guys that we've ever had. Mentality wise to Michael Jordan. Because if I feel then Michael Jordan to this interview, you would believe that, he said. All of this. We watched the last dance a year ago during the summer that chronicled the run of the nineties bowls. And Jordan. What was the story Jordan made up the he made up a story on the last dance is going to bother me now that I can't remember this, but he made up the story about a player. I want to say played for Boston at that point in time or no Washington. It was for the Washington Bullets at the time. Had a big night. Yeah, the guy who scored like 38 points, right, right, and And Jordan basically, basically made up this story that the guy said Hey, good night, Mike or something like that, and he took it personally. And Jordan created this in his head as if it was complete fact. The same way that Brady created a desire to go play for this team just to rev himself up and get angry about it. Brady might be the closest thing to Michael Jordan. We have seen in sportsmen mentality standpoint, we've talked about Kobe Bryant. It's definitely not LeBron James. I think we know that it's not Kevin Durant. In terms of NBA players, um But the way that Brady opens up in this interview and talks about just his mentality and how he felt slighted. By a team and a team that he never would have wanted to go play for not wanting to be in on the you know, in on the Brady sweepstakes, and how much that bothered him. It reminded me instantly of Michael Jordan. Wasn't it? Byron? Russell, Byron? No, It's not. It wasn't Byron Russell. I've, uh just not the name that I know. But like, I'm I'm Yeah, this is gonna It's going to bother the heck on me..

Michael Jordan Kevin Durant LeBron James Kobe Bryant Byron Russell Jordan Washington Bullets 38 points Mel Brooke Michigan Brady 84458 Mike New England Patriots HBO Chris 95 years 90% Mel Brooks

"Holiday weekend. Of course Next week. I'm heading out of town. I've got a vacation for the first time in a while here, so I'm looking forward to getting out of town a little bit and enjoying some family and friends. Nice. Nice. Yes, You worked very hard and you never get a vacation, So I'm glad. Glad to hear that. I say that on the air in case anyone in management is listening. That's all. I just, I make sure to say that so they're like, Wow, that guy is working hard. That guy is just He's really killing it for us. I hope that we know that that's that's I hope they know that to tell them to call me. I'll tell them. How about you, Jennifer? Do you have any plans for the for the Fourth of July weekend? Yes, I'm going on college visits with my daughter to the mid. Congratulations. Nice. Yeah, we're going to it's weird places for Fourth of July weekend, but she's excited. So that's good. All right. Good. I remember that time and checking out some of the colleges. Everything that doesn't matter is important to you and all the stuff that does, that's That's why you go with Jennifer so that she can focus on the stuff that's actually important. Exactly exactly. So, what do you want to get into? I know that we have we are. We already have some questions lining up. You have a question for Jennifer. I guess I should give the number out. 84458 Oh, 93 to 6. That's 844. 58093268445809326 will take listener questions. If you have a legal question for Jennifer, Go ahead and get an 84458093 to 6. And what else would you like to get into today? Well, if we have callers, we can start with them so they don't have to wait. There's a couple things that we didn't get to talk about in our about some of the statutory changes that the governor signed into law, and there's time to talk about that I will Sprinkle it and as we can, um, But yes, you have callers. You can get right to the Yeah, Let's get to him. Jonathan Orlando, He is online one. Why don't we get started with John? Welcome into laying down the law. John, What's your question for Jennifer? Hi. I'm wondering if someone has a will do they still have to go do pervade. Oh probate, one of our favorite topics to talk about that right after H H O is in probate. Those are the two at the top of the list that we get the most questions about. I think, Jennifer Yeah, exactly. So, um, there is not an exact easy answer for that. Basically wills. The reason you write a will is for probate. Anything in a will has to go through probate. Now There's a lot of other things that we can do so that you don't need probate, and we usually have a will. It's just kind of like a catch all just in case. But you should have something rather than nothing. Because if you don't have a will you also go to probate. So, um, I mean, there's things we can do with beneficiaries like your life insurance, beneficiary and beneficiaries of 41 case. Bank accounts almost any kind of account that you have money and in a bank, um, can have a beneficiary and then you don't need a will. And then you don't need the probate. Um, if you've got property, there's things we can do with deeds, Um, life estate deeds or other types of deeds. Where then when you pass your property goes right to your heirs or whoever else you wanted it to. So those are things you can do. Usually it kind of you have nothing left, but a car those you could usually take care of without probate. Um People tend to tend them and sometimes forget and leave an account out. Um, that beneficiary thing, So you always always should have a will. Um, but there's plenty of other things we can do during a state planning to make sure you don't need the probate. And that's one of the reasons why you shouldn't just like kind of get a well off line or get. I mean, I know they had their software you can buy and like things you can get off the Internet. But if you don't talk to an attorney about some of these other alternatives because you want to save money on their front end on the will, you usually end up needing a probate, and it costs more on the back end. So I can't encourage people enough to have a will in general, but also talk to somebody about all of your assets. Um, and then you pretty much can save a whole lot of money and time and effort. And aggravation for the people that you leave behind. Excellent. Thank you so much. All right, John. We really do appreciate the phone call, of course 84458093 to 6. That's 8445809326. Is that number 8445809326 of a question for Jennifer Angler? This is laying down the law brought to you by the Orlando Law Group once again, that number 844580. 9326. So it's not a not a short answer. Of course, Jennifer. It's kind of complicated. Um, so if you do have a will, though there's still a lot of legal red tape. You kind of have to work through with some of that stuff, huh? Yeah. I mean, we didn't I didn't mention trust. But the trust is a way to get around probate, too. But you still have to do something called Trust Administration. So they trust doesn't magically take care of things either. But I mean, if you have beneficiary based everything, then I mean, yeah, we have to. Usually you have to, like, Go down and take care of your car. Um, the one your death certificate kind of gets filed That stuff that happens without you even having to do anything so that properly their praise or figures out and starts changing things. Um, and usually, then you just have to send death certificates out to like banks and that sort of thing. So I mean, it still could be overwhelming for people have no idea how to do it. And we still help people. I give them a little bit of advice. Um, but, yeah, the best conversation we could have with someone after their family passes is that look, just do these three things. You don't need a probate. You just spent like 30 minutes with us. You don't eat anymore Lawyer time and it's just so seamless and easy and.

Jennifer Angler Jennifer Jonathan Orlando John Orlando Law Group 30 minutes 844580. 9326 8445809326 two Next week today 84458 844. 58093268445809326 first time Fourth of July 41 case one three 93 to 6 one of the reasons

"Was a little worried, but I get the Seinfeld Okay now, Bueller. Bueller. Maybe okay, but yes. Chako Chako Taco at number two. Number one. I'm sorry. You've got to have the ice cream with the cookie crunch chip, which, Yeah, Chip, which is number 12 cookies. Ice cream in the middle. It's always the right amount to the the ratio of ice cream to cookie. It's a nice bite. It's you've got salty. You've got sweet. It's a good consistency Chip, which is number one with the little chocolate chips around the outside. That's it. Right. So, yeah, it is. You get those chocolate chips around on the outside. So my top five Chip, which one Chako Taco to the fudge Bar number three snow cone, number four and that push pop number five. What? What are your thoughts on the, uh, on the like, character like popsicles like the SpongeBob Popsicle or like Spider Man Popsicle Love the Spider Man Pop. So here is my problem in all of those, and we talked about this a little bit last night. And this is my problem with the screwball. By the way, we're in storm center it raining out there people, But my problem is there was always a piece of gum in those There was always so I mean, like the SpongeBob one. I believe a piece of gum Despite her man, one piece of gum, the screwball. It's the eyes. It's gonna ball. That's what it is. Exactly. The gum never worked for me. I'm not ice cream. I'm not here to chew. Go. I'm not really like a gum in ice cream guy, either. I know people love screwball, and they love those. But like I just kind of ate around the Around the gumball. I was never I was I'm like, not a blow pop kind of guy, either. I'm a Tootsie pop guy all day in that regard, um Just just not a big like I'll eat gum, but like I don't want it incorporated with, like other things, that's the thing. I mean, like we talk about food parent like I'm a big food network guy myself. Aren't I watch a lot of top chef Master Chef. That stuff I love reality cooking competitions. You know how big of a date go for your guy? Fieri guy, Right? What is guy Fieri Always talk about. It's about food pairings, gum and ice cream. That's not a parent not it's not a pairing. It just doesn't work. All right, that's not chocolate and vanilla. It's not. It's not that it's not a good pairing. Gum and ice cream just doesn't work for me. Let us know. Open mic in that wdbo app, your favorite ice cream that you get from the ice cream truck. Let's get to a couple of the open mics that we have here. Back in the sixties. Our favorite was the creamy, dreamy orange push up sickle. And as a side note. After that, we would run behind the DDT man breathing that big cloud of DDT and there you have it. That was that took an interesting turn Their what is D d t. Um DDT? Is this it used to be in chemical pesticides. DDT was a poison the chemical pesticides that had very bad effects. On people when they breathe them in animals in the environment, Basically, so the rainwater would would take it into the sewers. Bad stuff happened. DDT is now no longer in our pesticides, but, you know, have you ever watched them spray up and down the street? Yeah. Yeah, so it used to be like back in the day. They used to be DDT was in that and it didn't have a very good effect on people. Oh, yeah, yeah. DDT. Not good. Yeah, not good there. Um, I would advise against breathing that in the the Creamsicle swirl, not a personal favorite of mine. But There you go. Let's get to another one of your open mics. DDT comment there took us down an interesting rabbit hole. It's like Joe Rogan being like, Have you ever tried? M d t m m d m a. Something like that. Joe Rogan podcast. I'm not. I've not tried any of I It's just what Joe Rogan says he always asks his guests. Have you ever tried? D M T. He always asks. I think whenever we have somebody on the show, we should ask him. Are you a guy Fieri Fan? I think that's what we should do on this show. Yeah, we just ask him Are you have you been to or have you heard of flavor town? Because we have a chicken guy coming works about you, Chicken guy, have you been to feed icon? If I'm going to an ice cream truck, and they have the screwball, I'm going back to the screwball Just like I always did as a kid. No, I can't do this screwball as we've covered this people we have covered already. This group all the gum in the ice cream. We we just we've covered that. Yeah. If I'm going to an ice cream truck and that we just played that one, Okay. Alright, So 84458 Oh, 93 to 6 is the number that's 844. 5809326 is where you can find us. "Same sort of thing. Look at what point Do we think that it's okay for the government to step in and say We want you to do things the way that we want you to do them? Well, we're going to take the money away. No. I said that I hate slippery slopes on this show, but this one feels like I don't know this summit plummet of slippery slopes. Santos has threatened to cut federal money from state schools that they don't score well on these surveys. How do you feel? About that. How do you feel about the state government giving money to colleges only. If they teach what they want them to teach. How involved should the governor in his office be involved in setting the standard of Education in this state and threatening to take state funding away. Santa's has railed against censorship from big tech, by the way, something that I support He signed a bill last week. But wouldn't this type of thing be just as egregious for Governor Ron de Santas to do Google and Facebook or private companies? In theory, they can do what they want with their platforms. Have I agree with everything that they've done? No. This is a government agency. Pressuring public universities to teach what they want, how they want. More they will pull their funding. Keep in mind that funding by the way. Is our tax dollars. That's my money. That's your money. It's Joe's money. It's akin's money. And I don't know about you, but I don't agree with all the politics that our governor has. I disagree sometimes as I do right here. I think as you look more and more at the pressures that govern Iran, de Santis is applying here. I'm not ready to openly call this fascism. We're walking pretty close to it when you are saying Hey, University College. If you're not educating kids, the way we want you to educate them. This is not a standard of education. This is a kind of education. Going to pull your funding. I think it's very, very close to a dangerous area that Governor Ron de Santis is approaching. What do you think? 84458? Oh, 93 to 6 is the number that's 84458093268445809326 is the number you can also hit us up. Open mic in the W V bof. You here are.
