You know, the fights you see on cable news, the crazy big ideas that you would see on cable news. Joe Biden's Bad Policies = Bad Results
"Joe Biden, the guy's like delusional at this point. I mean, half of America doesn't think he's mentally fit more than half of America. He seems offended when that comes up. He is 79 years old, so climbing up there in age, and yet doesn't really seem to have all his faculties. I mentioned yet because I'm not an ageist. I believe that you can perform very well. Very late in life, but Joe Biden strikes me as a very old 79. I mean, he was probably a very old 39 a very old 29 and maybe the reality here is the guy's just not that gifted when it comes to communication. He's not that gifted when it comes to be able to being able to formulate thoughts. I don't think he's not smart. I mean, I think it's great to actually prove that. It's amazing that he's there. It's amazing that he's president. It's actually kind of a shame. Anyway, he's done a terrible job. America knows that. It's why nearly 40% of the country gave him an F on their report card. We talked about that in yesterday's program, but I think we should all just be blown away by the monstrosity that that press conference was yesterday. He rambled, he rambled and went on and on and on, and he sat there and tried to feed us things like, you know, what a great job he's done. I'm sorry, but we've got 7% inflation in consumer prices. It's even worse when it comes to energy prices, of course. 59% more to heat your home this year than last 50% more for gas prices, food prices have escalated, housing prices of escalated, but that's not even counted in the inflation numbers. No, no, no. Anyway, we've got a real problem with our economy in terms of inflation. We've got a real problem with the supply chains. I know he doesn't want us to blame it all on him, but I'm sorry, who well? Who else out there? Yeah, the Federal Reserve carries some of this responsibility, but still it comes back to Joe Biden who's setting the tone with bad policies and bad policies equal bad

America Gives Biden An "F" For Failure
"Anyway, I want to get to this survey that came out from political and morning consultant. 37% again raiding the president and F that's the grade they're given him after one year in office, not too good there. And then when you look at the rest of the numbers, it really doesn't look that much better, especially when you see that 52% of Americans are raiding him as a quote week leader. Now, that doesn't surprise me. I mean, you see what just transpired over the summer in Afghanistan. You look at what's happening right now in Ukraine, we're now sending weapons to Ukraine $200 million worth. I'm going to get to that in just a moment. But it tells you that on the international stage, there's a weakness right now to America thanks to Joe Biden and I said the other day I titled the podcast, how much damage has been done because a lot has been done. A lot has been done to our reputation on the world stage and that's playing right out in real time right now as we look at this controversy unfolding between Ukraine and Russia and our inability really to do anything. I mean, hey, look, if I'm Putin, I'm saying, well, you know, hey, I got Crimea. With Obama, why shouldn't I get Ukraine now with Biden? And so we're going to get to the second, but it does speak to the weakness perception that Americans have and frankly, probably the rest of the world has. A lot of people also don't see him as healthy. They don't see him as being in good health, which understandably, you know, given his age, 79 years old and his inability to communicate at times really has hurt him, they also recognize his lack of communication skills. And so just 20% are giving Joe Biden a B 18% grading him a C and just the smallest survey of people there are 11% would actually give him an a, those must be like the die hard

Maybe Joe Biden Was Smart to Pick Kamala Harris as VP
"EPO I always quarrel with people who say you know Biden stupid Biden stupid but not actually Biden may be the most maniacally smart politician we've seen in some time because he picked her I mean you think about it Clearly the man doesn't have his faculties He just turned 79 years old He can barely put together a coherent sentence because God knows what's going on in that adult brain of his And there's no I'm sorry There is no possible way he's running for reelection in 24 And people are already sort of like you know it's like what's the old Chris Rock joke when he would go into a neighborhood and people would pick up their phones and down 9 one and then just wait right People are just they're sitting there with their hand on the Twenty-fifth Amendment button Just waiting to push it because he's so close to just completely losing it in front of all of us And yet the one thing that is looming there The one major decision Joe Biden made before he was elected anything They always say the first most important decision of future president makes is who is running mate is going to be Who will be the vice president who does he pick Prices have gone up And families and individuals are dealing with the realities of that bread costs more the gas cost more She is the greatest presidential insurance policy of all time

The latest Roomba avoids pet waste, plus high toner prices put one local man in jail. Rich tomorrow. Do you remember the classic? It's probably one of his best stories the he's not here to share about Henry Carlos Story. We're literally he and his wife go out. They come back. They smell. Okay, apparently our producers saying this is actually a story in this thing, and I'm giving it away. So tools will stop there. But yes, I wish Henry was here. I picked this story for Henry. But he's not here. So anyway, he will relish it wherever he is. But let's start with printer toner, Chris and Megan. We know it always seems to cost more than we expect. But a high price scam is sending one West L. A man to federal prison. According to the Justice Department, 79 year Old Gilbert and Michael's had quite the scheme going for decades, he sold replacement toner cartridges to small businesses and charities at greatly inflated prices. His telemarketers would call businesses and posed as their regular supplier say the prices went up, then offer them the chance to buy at the old price before it changes. The entire exchange was bogus. The multimillion dollar scheme netted more than 50,000 victims who overpaid. Large attack, making work from home a bit easier with a new all in one doc that includes a speaker phone. The lodge E. Doc works with Google Meet Microsoft teams and zoom. The lodge E Doc flashes when it's time to join a meeting. Somehow I always missed the meeting start. Device will be available later this year for $400. All right now, for Henry's story, the latest Roomba can now avoid pet waste on the floor. The iRobot Roomba J seven plus Is the company's top of the line vacuum, and it comes packed with new features that make it smarter with every use. While the robot can remember where, where it cleans where the furniture is, But perhaps the most important new features it can now avoid cords and pet droppings. So they're not, you know, distributed across the floor or carpet. Device even comes with a new pet owner, official Promise or P. O P, which says the company will replace any Roomba J seven plus that does not avoid Solid pet waste. Chris if you are in the marketing Department of room, but I think you would have come up with that. P o p. Promise that that is a home run. That is an absolute home run, And you would. It's so odd because you hear Henry's story. And you're like, Oh, that's a one off that clearly if they had to design their product to avoid number two and smearing it all over the floor, which is literally what happened to Henry and his wife when they came home, like, what's that smell? The Roomba? They had to throw it out, because it literally had become clogged with it, And it spread it all over the floor. The way you did the detail with which you describe this story. I mean, I don't think Henry even needs to be here now, right? Clearly, this is happening nationwide. There's a smearing problem everywhere in homes. Uh, yeah. So thank you. Room back. There you go. Thank you. Rich. Well, he was like, solid waste. You know, he wasn't calling it like you know what it is? Yeah. It's funny how he just avoided it. No, no, Very, very, very fancy. Very class act as always, right? No, I took it right in the gutter. You went for it. It's funny. I feel like even the last time I filled in just for Ginger Henry was talking about a little surprise. "Do is this Is this odd? No, it's not. So to say the 79 year old man is starting to slip. He just is. I could be honest with you. I I'm pretty sure I couldn't run for president is 79 the way my the way I'm going. I would be surprised at 59 if I could pull this off. So it's not like we're saying this guy's just you know, this is who he is. He's a bumbling it 80 79 years old. His mind is slipping is what happens. This is the natural D. Evolution of your body. When you're that old, it just is what it is. We have to talk like grownups. So to hide that is once again like we were talking about earlier is not talking to us like adults. Its journalistic malpractice. To not say it's obvious The president is forgetting things. He forgot the name of his defense secretary and the secretary of state today in his speech, and it's not the first time he's forgotten Lloyd Austin's name. He turned around and looked at well what Austin is a American of African descent, and we know Biden's racist so he doesn't really think of that of him. So the But he's forgetting names. He is not finishing sentences. He sounds like stumbling and bumbling and no one is pointing that out in really, especially in this time of prices, with Afghanistan, pointing it out and saying China, Russia. I ran giggling right now taking full advantage of somebody that is acting like this. We need to take steps to fix this because here's what the president is in charge of making decisions, decisions for the country and executive branch of the United States. If those decisions or compromised by something, whatever it is, we need to know about it because this is an important decision like we've seen in Afghanistan's important decision to ignore the border, which he continues to do inflation. Have all these things that continue to add up to make you go. Is he really this dumb? Or is he just not capable of doing this? Bill O'Reilly yesterday? Here on Russell Hunter told us there is no way Joe Biden is capable of doing this job. No way. It seems pretty obvious to me. So the constitutionality. Part of this is if Biden is not capable of making decisions who's helping him make the decisions Because we elected Joe Biden? Kamila Harris. We did not elect Dr Jill Biden. We did not elect Lloyd Austin. We did not elect Jen, um sake. Those are all appointed positions, and if they're the ones that are making the decisions the American people need to know. Susan Rice. "Person guilty or no, it is not the issue here. The issue is a sentence and the issue of incarcerating a person without a trial is unconstitutional. This is in our Constitution. I mean, wouldn't the best answer be for Jacob Zuma through his lawyers to condemn the violence and call on his supporters to go home? Lawyers today will be meeting President Zuma. I hope that they could very well be a direct communication from him about this situation, right. Would you like to hear him say that? What I don't understand with all of you is your selective morality. The fact that all of you don't seem to see that this situation could have been handled differently. There was nothing to be gained By taking a 79 year old man with comorbidities in a pandemic that is killing people would take a person like that to jail for a civil contempt. It's not like a criminal content for its still he he broke the law and challenge and challenge the decision at every state, so he had a legal opportunity at every stage to challenge it. It went to the highest court. They decided he needed to go to prison. I mean, that is the end of the story. I think I think if you listen with an intention to understand, you'll hear me, but you're listening with an intention to respond. This is your problem. The debate is about The punishment does the punishment fit the crime? That's where the difference is. So you're busy arguing about the person that has broken the law. That's not the issue here. What is unconstitutional is to incarcerated person without a child. That is wrong. The constitutional court where the matter was hurt. He's not a child court, so it didn't have a child. So there must be no confusion here. Can I just ask you one question, though? I mean, do you condemn the violence that there's been over the past few days? What must be condemned are the comments of President Ramaphosa, who has characterized The whole thing as an ethnic mobilization. Now I'm saying soon after those comments, we are now having ethnic and counters between the people of the Indian origin. And Africans So we are actually in a in a situation that is developing very ugly purely because of the comments that were made. "It's not a case of If you listed today versus next Saturday, it's a case of their only six more weeks so that you could get top dollar and to get top dollar. You need to spend some time usually 2 to 3 weeks Preparing your house. So if you decide you're going to mark, sell your house today, you still need two or three weeks. Get it ready And then you only have 2 to 3 weeks left to get top dollar. Yep. To get top dollar and we're talking statistically and we're talking heavily, though I mean realistic statistics because the more buyers there are bidding on your home. Think about it. The more Mhm. Not the more likelihood the absolute action is that you'll have more bids and you'll have a higher price. How much higher depends on your price range depends on the buyer's depends on how many buyers but think about it in simple people terms, not number terms where people are oriented here at the Barry and Larry Show. And this focus today is on you, The people who are selling and are contemplating selling your home Now. Travis has a little delay. He'll be with us, but he and I are sharing tips. Each segment. We're going to each share a tip. Now he had a little delay. So I'm going to go ahead and give his tip. His tip. Larry for sellers was Property preparation. Prepare your property for maximum price. You know about that, don't you? I sure do. I spent several weeks prepare my house that way before we put it on the market. And it pays off. It makes the house look more attractive. It makes the house look more attractive. You know, last night, Travis and I were talking as we were preparing for the show today, just to have our outline and his big item. Larry is so smart. It's so spot on. Get to give their thunder only because he shared it last night, he said. Spend some dollars on The front door. And that meant have it painted. He likes to say red or black. Might be nice colors that would help your house stand out now. Yeah, interesting. And he knows it from his 14 years experience, and then we got into in the locks. Replace them if they're old, And if they're brass color is fading. And, you know, looking what looking 100 years old? That may not be what you want on your 20 year old home. And it's not what buyers are going to have as a good first and lasting impression. So property preparation. But the other thing Larry the Travis brought up last evening was this Who's going to pay for that? Who paid for the painting of the door, possible replacement of the door but likely painting of the door professionally. Then, of course, we expanded it yet and if there's nice white trim on the house Oh, so often that looks see the old not good. We want that to look sparkling good. Usually you pay for the seller pays for it. But if the seller doesn't have the ability to the real estate agent may be able to help. This is what we got into last night. Travis and I got into how while this market really is Larry, you know it firsthand. This market easily is has never, ever been this absurd. It's called stupid. It's called crazy. It's called frenzy. We we none of us have ever seen a market like this. None of us living have had it. So I went into the history books to say. When did we last see a market like this, Larry? It was in the great land rushes of the United States of America. It was in the gold rush years. It was in the silver mining rush years. Silver rush years for Colorado as much as gold actually for Colorado, but we got into a lot of things on the land. Russia's so Travis and I last night started having some fun with it, and I'd like to share that on the radio. Okay, Larry, you know you've been around a few years. We're going to introduce Chris in a few minutes. He's been around a few years, but quite a few less than Larry and Barry here, but But when, when, Well what President signed the Homestead Act. Into law that caused and allowed these land. Russia's that really, that's the last time we saw anything this frenzied makes I see you think success Grant Close Close. Little before him. Had a beard was a tall guy. Quite a wrestler. Quite a strong dude wasn't a blink. Abe Lincoln. It was a Babe Lincoln signed it into law in 18 62. How much land did most of the land the citizens get? Could they get when they got this unoccupied land by the way, it land was only west of the Mississippi east of the Rockies. It was prescribed where the land was. How much land did each landowner get? Typically, each citizen became the landowner of 100 160 Acres 160. Okay, 160 acres They have to keep it for. Do you know how long Five years they had to agree to keep it live on it for five live on it for five years and make improvements on the land improvements typically meant one thing. Build a house. Build a house to this day. Our houses are legally called improvements. You get an improvement lots certificate. The lot line shows the improvement. The outline of the house within the lot land, so a lot of things in this business even in this frenzied state. Our our frenzy. Oh, by the way, who? Who was who was eligible? Get this. This is 18 sixties who was eligible to acquire that land. This is a could be a touchy question. Not on our show because we're not a political show. Okay, but three main groups were eligible Besides white men Three main groups were eligible to to be the landowner. That's a hint when I say they, in addition to white men 18 62. So it's a Blinken. That's a clue. It's going to probably be blacks. Native American former slaves, Larry former farmer sleigh Excuse me for if I insulted anybody, No problem. Former slaves correct Native Americans? No, they were not eligible. Interestingly because the U. S government move them off this land. Into reservations so that two other groups of people immigrants and get this single women Interesting, huh? I never knew that. I mean, you know, just put lives put all this stuff that's going on right now. Should we allow women to vote? Oh, I guess we do, though. That passed to okay. But but that's just a little history. Ladies and gentlemen on the land rush is okay. And why was saying that it often created Just such upheaval for these people. There's a town Guthrie Guthrie, Oklahoma had had roughly 100 people in it. And in 24 hours, it had 10,000. Oh, my because of the land Rush. Yeah, all kinds of cities. It isn't just about Hannah Dustin on one hand as an indigenous person. We don't want a statue that honors Hannah. On the other hand, we need an outlet in order to share the true history of the region. Denise Polio, a council leader for the cow suck band of the Penan Cook Abenaki People is also on the committee. She finds a statue offensive but says it's a chance to set the record straight. How many historical books have been written based on this false narrative that I can no longer wipe off the shelves? In particular polio hopes to counter the version of the story popularized by the Puritan author Cotton Mather? Which Dustin's captors brutally murdered her newborn baby. There is reason to doubt his account, says Barbara Cutter, a professor of history at the University of Northern Iowa. But she says that when considering the New England statues, we shouldn't focus too much on what may or may not have happened in 16 97. I think it's really more important. Think about what people meant when they supported putting up this statue. It was about an effort to hide the violence of colonization and imperialism. How we should judge handed Dustin is the wrong question, Cutter says. Instead, we should ask ourselves how we choose who to memorialize and what stories were trying to tell. For NPR news.
