Paul Kengor Unpacks the Danger of Biden's GOP Rhetoric
"War in Europe with an open border with rising inflation with a 110 thousand killed by fentanyl in the last 12 months alone. The idea that any leader of any party or an incumbent president would label half the nation as a threat to America as fascists, Paul, that never happened during the Cold War. How dangerous is this is this rhetorical flourish that we are seeing again and again and again from right inside The White House? Well, again, circle back to someone like Ronald Reagan or John F. Kennedy. They never talk that way. In fact, the president, the Reagan defeated the incumbent in 1980, Jimmy Carter never talked that way. I mean, that's over the top, 75 million people voted for Donald Trump, which is a gigantic number. And so to so to speak that way, yeah, it's outrageous and to go back to what we were talking about in the previous segment with what's going on in Ukraine with what Putin is doing. I mean, this ought to be a time for someone like Biden to try to unify the country.

How Important Is Stretching in Golfing? Mike McCall Explains
"How important is that stretching and that to the to the, to the wants twice at most three times a week golfer who's just, you know, trying to stay in the 80s or break a hundred or right now. How much is that important? It's very important. It was funny. I was just scrolling through Instagram the other day. And then I saw someone post a picture of a golf tournament. And the most interesting thing to me was someone had a yoga mat and they had it rolled out right by the putting green stretching. And then somebody goes, don't bet against him. Basically what that tells me is that physiological change that you have to do with the body, if we have a vision that we want to get to, we want to get deeper in our swing. The club higher, if we physically can't do it, then we're never going to achieve what we want. So yeah, if you think about a tour stop, at a tour stop, they're going to have physio vans and people go there and they stretch out before they even play. If you're not getting your body ready, then how do you expect it to respond? So that side of it is super important.

PGA Professional Mike McCall Shares His Best Golf Equipment Advice
"Looking at equipment, where do you see and I'm going to try to ask questions that maybe people don't normally ask. You've known me alone. I asked these kind of weird questions. But where do you see most people's trouble if you could go to and you just broke that up pretty dancing? You said the Woods or the other where our drivers are Woods, our irons, you know, in our lower irons, which will be your chipping and putting, where do most people, if they could buy, say, in terms of those particular areas, where would you see the most value for people in their scores? Honestly, the putter. Because yes, absolutely. You got to think how many times are you going to use your powder during your round? Pretty much on every home. Unless you go to haul it out and then you hit a really good shot. You know okay, Rory, will you? We're not going to get through. We know that we get fit to our irons and our Woods, but there's very seldom that, you know, we have people come in and say, I need to get fit to my putter. Because the law, the lie, the link that has all an effect. I mean, you know, if you look at the world of teaching, there's a there's an art to how we go about teaching the swing, but there's a science to putting. And it's a slower movement. So you can get more data and if you're getting the ball rolling better, then you're going to have a much higher likelihood of making putts. I'm in a putter is going to salvage around

PGA Professional Mike McCall on Getting Back in the Swing of Golf
"Back in ready to go spring is hitting, you know, what's the forecast this year for people who want to get out and play golf if you had one thing to start for people who maybe have put up the club for a few months, what's the best thing they can do to get started back again. And as we get into a lot of different topics today. You know, the first thing you know they want to do is always check their equipment. Seems like a lot of times we put it up in the closet and we get out and then the grips are falling apart and everything else. So just like if you're getting in your car and you have it drove it for a long time, I'll let you just check it out. So you just need to find someone that can go check out your equipment and make sure that what you're hitting is going to be helpful. Because if it's not helpful, then it's going to be a hindrance.

Doug Comments on the Recent Nashville Tragedy
"Want to not the overlook again, another tragedy in Nashville yesterday. In this week of what happened in the shooting at the school, again, tragic person, mentally unbalanced, I don't care what anybody says, you don't do that without having a problem in your life. Also, it's really interesting to me, is, again, we're starting to hear some of the, you know, take the gun mentality from this because they were using AR-15s and others in this situation. This was someone who posted online that they were choosing targets or choose a target that was not defended. Again, soft targets are the problem here folks. And it takes nothing away from the tragedy of the ones who've lost live. I'm in prayer for them. I prayed for them. And you can't make it up. You can't take a parent and give them their child back. And then just doesn't happen. But it is sad to me that the more we're seeing that more and more of these shooters are picking soft targets. In other words, targets that are not hardened, they're not. You know, in a way of being protected, it should be more of the concern to us. And then you're gonna have the whole issue with the transgender issue here and it's already, you've already noticed that they're not talking about this as much in mainstream media. Folks, it needs to be talked about. It was pointed out by someone just the other day that just in the last few hours about this tragedy that they want to go after this quote, assault rifles in which you had 7 killed yesterday, but yet in Virginia tech, just about 15 years ago, you had somebody with a handgun kill 30 something. I mean, folks, it's the target, not the weapons being used. People who have mental imbalance who want to do things like that will find whatever weapon they can to Harlow's harm.

Mark Meckler: Polling Suggests an Indictment Would Not Hurt Trump
"You have worked with the Trafalgar group over the passage of time to gauge public opinion on a number of topics and there's a new one concerning this issue of whether or not president Trump might be indicted by a grand jury in New York. Tell us about the poll that you answered that they put out in the field on that. Yeah, this is something that we do regularly. I travel below over the country meeting with grassroots taxes. I get a feel for what people are thinking, but our goal is to get the scientific view on what they're thinking. So we're asking folks if we thought if they thought it would hurt or help president Trump's campaign if you were indicted or if it would make no difference. Amazingly, what we found is almost 75 percent, 74.2% of Americans say it will either help him or it won't hurt him in any way. It won't make any kind of a difference. So these are incredible numbers when you think three quarters of Americans believe that either health Donald Trump or it doesn't hinder Donald Trump in any way doesn't make a difference. It shows how badly miscalculating the Democrats are in regard to this.

We continue to see it every morning when we wake up in the news, another story of men entering the arena of women's sports. But you simply look at the Olympic records for men and women for the last 75 years, you don't need any new scientific research to show the unfairness of men competing in women's sports. Is Justice Being Applied Equally?
"One of the ways that we can gauge whether justice is being done is by looking to see if justice is being applied equally. And equally means that if you have two guys who do similar or roughly the same thing, they are charged and prosecuted in the same way and they receive sort of the same penalty or a similar penalty. Yesterday I went on Joe Walsh's podcast. In fact, it's out today. You can see it, you can hear it on Spotify or watch it on YouTube. It was actually a very lively and respectful conversation of a kind that really doesn't happen a whole lot today. But we were talking about January 6th and Joe was pressing me. Well, don't you agree the message was wrong for people to go inside the capitol and I go, yeah, it was. And I said that, look, there are people who committed misdemeanor as they went in there. They didn't mean to break the law, but they did break the law. They didn't do any vandalism. They were completely peaceful and they left shortly thereafter. Well, those people should get a misdemeanor, which basically means you get a warning or some community service, but you're not going to take a 75 year old grandmother. I'm giving you an actual case. In fact, I had Pamela hemphill on the show and lock them up for 60 days because they walked into the capitol for ten minutes. This is just downright outrageous. And you know it's outrageous because it doesn't happen to anyone else. If you look at the massive riots that emerged in Portland in the aftermath of George Floyd, we're now talking about from summer of 2020. Prosecutors dismissed a substantial number. I mean, they dismissed outright more than one third of the cases. Think about it. These are cases that have, in many cases, felony charges for defendants were charged with assaulting federal officers. They just dismissed the charges. They didn't even bring charges against them.

"My project, who I've become friends with, but just started out meeting at one of my charity events. He wouldn't be willing to sign that. If I had not behaved myself in a certain way, since the time I first met him, and I met him 14 years ago, 15, 14 or 15 years ago, but it took that long for me to develop with patients and my behavior a bond and a friendship with somebody who is at a different level than I am in Hollywood, but yet when I send him something and say, hey, if I can make this happen, would you want to work with me on this? And he says, sure. Let me sign it. And so I try to take those moments and recognize for myself, I played that one right. And I have more and more of those in the last 15 or 20 years of my life. That's huge. That's huge. Kevin, I have two questions to ask that I'd always have these shows with. Diverse one is, how do you have a fantastic life there's so many answers to that, number one I number one I make sure every day that part of my day includes something that really turns me on. That's number one. And number two, I always sing and laugh. No matter how bad the day is, man, I always find I take a moment in the middle of my day and I make sure I put a song on and especially in the times we leave, it would be my car or anything else, but I always make take a moment to sing and dance by myself. And I always find things in my day, even when I'm by myself, which we are so often these days, I always make sure I laugh, but I, but I do make sure I do at least one thing in my day, no matter how much of the half to in need to we have in our lives, and make sure I spend time doing at least one thing that I love every day. Perfect. Now, the flip side of that is what advice do you have for our listeners to have a fantastic life? I encourage people and I know this comes from my perspective and this would probably bump up a bump up against some folks, but I'm going to say it and I'm going to clarify it in a certain way. I deeply, deeply, deeply encourage you to find something that is very intense and purposeful and purposeful for you and meaningful to you that you want to do with your life..

"No matter what. I mean, it could be you and I are facing a great day ahead of us. But there's going to be a gazillion problems that we have to solve. But at the same time, if we don't have that skill set and you get anxious or you get angry or depressed because of those problems, that's half the battle. It is after battle. And the other side of that is, I am someone who will say, I will agree with the fact that money does solve a lot of problems. But of course, we can go down the road of like fixing cars and plumbing and stuff like that. But ironically, it's part of what I'm discussing about where we're living in these times. Money doesn't solve those problems. And actually sometimes to me it compounds them because if you're financially well healed, it sometimes promotes the ability to hide from what is bothering you psychologically, which is ironically pushing you further away from a solution as opposed to getting closer to it. Yeah, that's true. And I think people really need to realize that the problem skill set now you have to develop that you have to keep developing. It's not a to date that gets an ongoing thing that you have to keep on working out. A 100%. And one of the challenges that I've witnessed, we both witnessed it, doctor leica, because we're not young. Is that in the last two decades, since digital technology, which was always coming, we knew that in the 90s, but one of the ways you learn those skill sets is by human engagement. You don't learn those skill sets and again, I respectfully understand the idea of homeschooling. I was bullied every day in high school, so I can appreciate that, but you don't learn skill sets from everything being comfortable..

I've got like a two itary tumor because i was noticing the temperature regulation stuff which also them daffodil. Because it's a stimulant made so much worse. I wake up in the morning and half through my sheets in the wash because they were disgusting like it was gross but then like the chronic pain piece started mas- like oh there's like a whole other thing here hopefully sub basements and i started started having back and i was like oh shit stuff my knees when i was a kid. Oh my god and this was all just around the few months. When i had finished up my contract very obviously did not get my contract renewed because i didn't get any of the workouts posted dude done and like i couldn't get any other jaws because i had no publication record i was very undesirable plea at that point..

"Also don't want to hear about central apnea. Yeah authorized for identifying and treating one problem which is a systemic thing and notably the common and also mechanical problem at the mechanical. We are good at treating mechanical issues. I wanna also just flag this with a fun. Fact that i know for another interviews so people are those having listening but somebody who i interviewed randy who has e diaz who did have apnea also. She couldn't wear the cpap machine because of her skin. So cpap wouldn't keep a seal around lyell so she was trying to use a c-pap and i forget now that he does. It's the interview but it was like maybe at the beginning should be like. Oh this is great. By the end of the night it would just be honest and she ended up having a had never heard of the surgery but they like put a little tube into your airway so it can't be obstructed and she was like for me that works but like it shouldn't be this hard even when it is apnea yet. That's the thing like even when you've got the common thing unless it's the textbook version of the common thing is. Yeah so i did know. And it parallels a lot of like what we've seen in talked about with hypermobility because one of the distinguishing with narcolepsy is also called cadillacs. See so there's narcolepsy with catapults. Narcolepsy without catapults santo. Caterpillar is sudden episodes muscle weakness. And the thing. Is that in all of the literature. That's described as like you collapse and it's usually in response to strong emotion So it can look like a seizure often and it can be really dangerous. 'cause you can hit your head very badly and and that's a textbook version of of caterpillar. So i didn't think i had flexi see. I do have cata plex. It turns out that the whole thing where i would like accidentally bumped by sleep plate of salad or my coffee all over my chest or i couldn't keep my head up or i keep my eyes focused. That's cata plex. But it's only ever described as the full drop. So the the guy that i saw at the private clinic in london is one of the foremost experts on narcolepsy in the uk and he immediately recognized catafalques textbook To catapult z. And i actually remembered to like. I started laughing when he told me that and he was like. Why are you so happy about this. Unlike i have something. That's physical and like name i remember. I was just like laughing with relief. It was so weird. If finally felt like having a bit of an answer but i was still he prescribing but athlon doctors are way too positive about the national supposed to and or thought to work. It got lot of hype around ten years ago. I guess because they came up with study that found it was really effective improving wakefulness and i remember the big thing that they hyped it about was that it has minimal to no side effects that may be true for healthy people who take it for like no trope reasons like you know. The mental capacity improvements may have no side effects for them. It made me hypo manic matak cardio worse. It may massol symptoms worse with a dysregulation worse. It made me have muscle spasms and horrible muscle cramps. To the point. That i couldn't unbend by leg for three days and crutch because i literally just put unbend my leg. They don't know exactly how it works..

"You could not make any progress. And it felt literally surreal. That also possibly was partly due to the fact that my brain was like inslee Shimon nothing felt real. Shot was just everything. I try when i was trying to get access to the meds initially and then trying to get a referral i. They just sort wouldn't give me an answer. They tae-ok will sort that out and then like two months ago by i call them back and they'd be like oh no nothing yet and so finally started getting urgent and arguing with them and i sang like. I need these meds to stay conscious and so that can can. I get an urgent referral to the neurologist. Nearly we'll know urgent. Referrals are only fit for things that are serious and i was like i literally can't stay conscious without these Like i feel like that's serious. Yeah how do you define. Serious is a really great question for every healthcare so but in this moment definitely it was this utterly impassive response to absolutely everything brought to them. Then i finally did actually get into see. They did like a semi urgent referral which could be at the clinicians discretion. And so i got in to see him and he did agree to prescribe me. The madonna fennell disinterested in any of the other cognitive physical things i was describing at that point. My my massol symptoms for asserting themselves. So he did agree to write me the note. For the medicinal and that two weeks later my gp surgery still had not received it so we kept trying to phone back to the neurologist clinic and they weren't answering and then several days later we finally heard back from he. He fallen off his horse literally the day after my appointment at injured himself and was on indefinite medical leave and had not yet transcribed note from my appointment. I have a lot of reaction today. Just can't put any of the joy single phantom in hindsight. It's so hilarious. Because that is the most british middle class. I've ever heard in my life. I'm sitting here. Like i cannot feed myself or go to work and you fell off your horse and like you deserve great medical care but also this sister needs to have like a little bit of resilience for schilling addition to how absurd it as an activity and it was just like utterly impassive and so. My mother argued with that clinic for like two or three days and they finally agreed the receptionist or nurse. Rodman finally agreed to type out the note that he'd written during my thing to send the exactly. It's like that should happen. Automatically when it breaks down that easily like this is an issue. It was always add to that. We were being unreasonable americans. It was always like this lake. Your being overly emotional about this. This stiff upper lip. I feel so much for other chronically. Ill people there. Because the stiff-upper-lip thing is real it is real and it is not good when you're chronically ill and then i was able to access the private system. It was not easy. My parents wada debt for that but that was a nice sweet clinic..

"I spent a really long time feeling guilty for not like what i was sort of living in poverty as a designer who couldn't get my career off the ground. I spent so much time feeling guilty for not going to med school. But also in hindsight. I'm like i would have been two hundred thousand dollars in debt and not able to residencies. I would not have made it through. I am so so glad. I had the heck substantial crisis young percent here you. And it's weird still undiagnosed and you're like some parts of school are hard but it doesn't seem to be the parts of school that other people's struggle with so like how do anticipate is his grad program again choice. Like how could. I possibly make that decision. Because i don't know what my body needs are a wide seems to be different than other people Yeah i also didn't want my master's program but there was a lot of able ism. My thesis was on design for healthcare and it was not nearly as critical enough of the healthcare knowledge practices that i'd spent all my time critiquing and could've been so good and i regret that so much. But the one thing that did give me was critical theory and the language trivialized. Why i was so deeply uncomfortable within my undergrad which was the ablest them of the culture and the ways of knowing and the ways in which they erased patient knowledge like systematically and so he gave me that and i finally hit the language. Feel like oh this is why i like could not survive in medicine and also. It's really weird. Because i still love medicine. It's still like my favorite topic. But i like it as an observer critic and i cannot be in that space so yeah. It's so complicated. How like there's the difference between medicine and healthcare a really big difference it's hard. How could medicine be practiced within our community in a way that would be generative cannot happen within a healthcare system. And then you're like..

"I literally did not have a friend group that stuck around for more than like. Maybe a. you're at a time. At which point is her. Get sick me and or realize they could get more popular by hating me. I was just sort of in my own bubble and lake. There was something to that. And then i got to university and i made friends for the first time but it was also very like i was masking making friends through masking and they cheese me in a good natured way. The way that friends do about like oh. You're such a hypochondriac. And like because they were now my friends. I started to internalized that more. I was also in pre med. And so i was getting exposed to that culture of patients always. There's something wrong with them. So there was that young. And then i also started dating my ex partner who was also a premed buren same program and who came from a family of doctors who had very specific ideas about patients. Illicit what those things mean. And all of those sort of through my late teens and early twenties i started to shift and stop believing myself am lost touch with what i was feeling in body even as that was exactly what. My illness was sort of wrapping up. I think i know at least for me. One thing about moving to a new environment at that age is like there's so much distracting junk going on there so many different things influencing your body. It's easy to just be like l. Cool this new environment feels different. I have a different bed. I have a different bedtime. So many factors. That are like cool. This is what it feels to be here. Now when people ask me what my narcolepsy started. I straight up cancer because for such a long time i thought it was. Just oh yeah. everyone's tired. it's woolen. Everyone has a fucked up sleep cycle. It wasn't until i was literally sleeping like fourteen or sixteen plus hours a day and like missing meetings..

"Yeah yeah yeah. Yeah 'cause 'cause the thing is the fact that the black man in his crowd stood out is yeah is testament to what the problem was. So an isn't tokenism. If you make a concerted effort to be inclusive and diverse as part as a policy and even if you point that out and say well this is part of our policies that i mean. It's yeah it's it's okay to talk about. How how you make sure that you are open diverse. That's fine but the thing where you know. People who aren't racist don't tend to feel the need to constantly points out how they're not racist. Yes yes you said the racist but like ends to be followed by. I'm not favorites is actually made me. Think of the this. Some how there's a kind of tokenism going on with the black lives matter and then white people say well. No all lives matter. That's something in there. There's the feels like it comes from the so you mean wait. Yeah people who will lives matter in that context arguably a trying to reduce black people to to a token in that in the Fear of lives that matter because the conversation. We're trying to have at that point. Isabel the whole thing about police. Brutality and black lives young so by by saying well. Yeah but that's only a part of the whole conversation cutting sideline yes reduces it to what you and also points the finger of will your just being tokenistic. If you'll just sign the black lives matter. No no they all met yeah. It does cooler attention to your racism in a way and there was in a hearing. Wet trump had recently been called racist mark meadows. Who became his chief of staff. I didn't think he was chief of staff at the time Tried to argue against this. By bringing lynn pattern a black member of of trump's staff yup to stand behind him while he talks about how not racist term is because of the the full massive. The hearing she wasn't allowed to talk it was just. That is the rules of the committee. There's yes they they couldn't bring someone else in to give evidence but she was kinda cooled into just stand there while mountain meadows talked about her and said you know she wouldn't work for a racist at which point the person who was who was at the in fact it was michael cohen. Who was being questioned at. The time had called racist and he said okay. Well i'd like you to do is ask lynn pattern. When she was working at the trump organization how many black executives they were. Yeah yeah and. I think it was related to leave. Who then accused of being racist because he brought out a includes as i think she actually said it token black woman to to make the point of trump not being racist and he was upset about that because he said i'm hoping he's this reminds me of when a boras did some campaigning..

We all right brought to make us the daily show It is very entertaining. I learn a lot even when i don't always know about which pokemon you're talking about because of the different names. Oh okay for example. Charred gourock At the moment. I'm trying to build a mu v deck with star you supporter. But i can't get it rolling consistent any ideas you're interested. You can find the deck list at the bottom of the email however. I'm a little frustrated frustrated. Because i have the feeling that the same decks win it makes no sense to come up with one of my own is like you have a complete solution for a game always in front of you but you want to figure out the next level by yourself. It doesn't always work and it depends on what you're trying to accomplish right. If you are trying to be topped two fifty six in the players cup for north america you kind of have to play one of the top tier decks to almost guarantee you get some points but if you're trying to be like casual and play the game for fun because that's technically what it's all about. Play that rogue deck. That's that's my i. I have no brighter memory about playing this game than the time that i took. Grump pig from crystal guardians and mismanages diamond-and-pearl Lumine from mysterious treasure patrie shoe from great encounters as well as toro's from accuracy guardians and then with like a for like consistency in draw. It was a to create a line. I played four corners style deck..

"How that's fantastic. Any attached cards damage counters. Special conditions turns and play in any other effects. Remain on the new pokemon. So with that with with that's basically saying is like if it was affected by special condition it would still have that special condition on it. Okay if it if it was affected by an attack that said like oh that that pokemon can attack next just because you switched it with like the ditto. V to whatever center scorch. It's still that technically that same pokemon so you can't attack I guess the Jacks move workers like it basically says on your opponents end of your opponents next turn if that pokemon still active it gets knocked out and you like swapped or something like that it would still affect it in the same way I think i'm confused by what this is actually doing. So did lovie is essentially any v. Pok mon that's just how so you could play you know your professors research describe hand of hypothetically. Let's say you get rid of eternity set to scorch and oh okay okay. I understand from your discard pile. So it's from okay. That's a big deal. Oh now you can swap that with any of those. Oh matchup he could switch things up. Gotcha okay i was like what like switching pokemon but it still has the same effects and everything on it still gets dumb but if you've already lost it is in your discard pile. Poon back in action. Well this to you could switch. This would like willard v so this has got damaged. Like oh i don't want that to get knocked out. You switch it with like a whale. Lord then all of a sudden you got two hundred and eighty hip points him saying yeah totally. I'm on the same page now. I had to reread it with you. Explain it for me to fully understand. Yeah so to see this. I mean you could always a lotta decks This being one of just just to allow that fifth the pokemon like consistency was key. And you needed five of that pokemon but can only run for you. Run a ditto. So if one gets knocked out you're just like a boom ditto and swap it out for that pokemon on the discard has ever been a popular card to us. Yeah ditto was awesome in the last format because they had ditto prism storrow right. We talked about remember that one that could evolve into quagmires to see king nine tails any stage. One ditto the really big seriously. I mean the regular version. Let's the set. He's basically doing like an uppercut which looks pretty cool but the shiny ditto literally doesn't compare. It's it's so good it's so gorgeous shiny it's beautiful. It's a beautiful card. It sounds super Effective as a as a played card so super excited. How many would you have in your deck. If you're playing with it just one depends. Depends on the deck. But i could see myself playing one and like you could even run like three of another like you could run a three three knit line of whatever you're using because if you start with a ditto you can always just discard the other one and then just walk them out I don't know. I think it's got some potential who's gonna make like the craziest deck with it right cool. It's all about that about that. Transformation the transfer of of of of all right. Let's let's get into our team comics opening. Okay well.
