"Government for details. That's mms .mckesson .com slash government. Bob Inler, WTOB traffic. And now to Veronica Johnson. She's 7 News First Alert Chief Meteorologist. How are we looking around our area here? Not at all around here, packing some showers right now, but unlike last night, no severe weather is moving through. You've got some showers around Quantico, Morrisville and southwest to Orange and that is moving east. Eventually it'll get right across I -95 in about another 30 minutes or so approaching areas like Dale City, Stafford and Fredericksburg. So it's mostly down to our south where I'm seeing the rain, but we do have those scattered clouds out there and I am tracking this cold front that will move through. Front number two, a little stronger, it's going to bring the reinforcements of some cooler air and drier air. I mean it was pretty decent today, but by morning we'll be in the 50s and mid 60s throughout the area. Rain chances should end down around southern Maryland by 3 -4 a .m. You've got a beautiful day on tap for tomorrow about 75 to 79 degrees. Noticeably cooler, less humid and that trend of October light conditions will continue right through Friday before just a little teeny bit of a warm -up for the weekend, but still low with humidity. Right now it's 74 degrees in Germantown Maryland, Potomac at 72. And Veronica, while we've got what are we hearing about a hurricane watch up in the northeast and it's all related to this big Hurricane Lee. That's right, Hurricane Lee. So listen, it is expected to weaken down to a category one and eventually to a tropical storm or post tropical cyclone. Thing is though, with these storm systems, even though they may be offshore, and I do think that Lee will stay offshore, especially for us and a for bit New England, that wind field expands as the storm weakens. So we're talking about the wind checks for New England. 75 mile per hour winds or greater potentially right around the coast of New England and then eventually into Nova Scotia where it could slide across portions of Nova Scotia the way it's looking right now. The main threat is the wind, the water that's going to be put up right along the coast. So Cape Cod, Nantucket area late Friday, Saturday. That storm surge watch also issued. We're life talking about -threatening storm surge with flooding potentially for southeastern Massachusetts including Cod Cape and Nantucket. So again that is for the weekend and all along the coast including for this area and the Outer Banks south, Virginia Beach too. We've got a high threat of rip currents all through the weekend. Alright, Veronica Johnson live 7 News First Alert. Chief Meteorologist, one more reason to be with your First Alert Weather Station, WTOP, right through the weekend. Right, yeah, you know, and thankfully tomorrow you've got nothing to worry about as far as your weather conditions go. We're looking at temperatures outside now in the 70s. Temperatures warming up a little bit more than today with mid to upper 80s, excuse me to near 90 degrees, but low humidity, calm winds, lots of sunshine. Perfect day to get outside and enjoy with your father figure. And then by beginning next week, Juneteenth, looking like we will begin to see some changes. We have some higher humidity, warmer temperatures as well. Highs near 90 and that means a chance for some showers in the afternoon. Now don't cancel any plans. This is just going to be some typical summertime afternoon showers, maybe an embedded thunderstorm. But for the most part, though, looking like very low chances for rain and then we'll keep those afternoon rain in chances the forecast pretty much all week. So again, not a washout, but those chances will be there. So just be very mindful that especially have if you any outdoor plans. We bring in the first day of summer, though, on Wednesday, and it's looking like the drier day of the week ahead, with mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the low 80s outside right now.
