"We have now. I think that's a force for influence. It's not a part of the political influence. But for this body policy as a whole to have a constitutional monarchy, it doesn't interfere with the day to today political process. But who's not a man of that monarchy of the changes needed in a modern society and make it work well and to make it work more fairly. I think they're a great force for good in that respect. And I think whether you're a monarchist or not constitutional market is a mechanism that offers a bit more stability and prospect for sensible change, for good manners and for high standards than society and particularly in political public life. And they set that example. Superb exemplar of that. That's Charles Anson former press secretary to the queen, how fascinating to hear those insights from someone who knows the royal family so well about the challenges, not insignificant facing King Charles the third. Liberals Pounce After Dennis Prager Tests Positive for COVID-19

"My friend and colleague Dennis prager is on a journey. Dennis announced yesterday he asked COVID. He did his radio show from home. He's quarantined. He and his family have COVID. As many people I know have had COVID. Dennis is not real fond of the vaccine journey. He is not apparently taking the vaccine and as a result when news broke the dentist tested positive for COVID, social media sort of erupted. They just had a field day yesterday. Joy and delight with Dennis prager. COVID positive. I that great odds karma hopey dies are that ha ha ha won't be I won't be sad if he died horrible stuff. Evil, that doesn't surprise you. I know. Here's the headline over at the blaze. Liberals pounce after Dennis prager says he's tested positive for the coronavirus. The 73 year old prager discussed the various medical treatments he'd been taking, including hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin. He also said, what made headlines was that he I think sort of playfully or maybe seriously, I don't know, said that it was he wants to get natural immunity, so he engaged with strangers constantly hugging them, taking photos with them knowing that I was making myself very susceptible to getting COVID, which is indeed as bizarre as it sounded. What I wanted in the hope that I would achieve natural immunity and be taken care of by Therapeutics that is exactly what

"Alabama's morning news. I'm JT. We're talking about this case with the 73 year old man. Who the family is now saying was denied a bed because they were too full of covid patients. And, uh, the family members say in honor and in the obituary in honor of Ray, this man 73 died. In honor of Ray. Please get vaccinated if you have not in an effort to free up resources for non covid related emergencies, the question we're talking about this morning because it's come up. Should those that did not get vaccinated? Uh, you know, move aside for somebody who has a covid sit or heart related ICU problem. Uh, yeah, I don't You know, first, come first serve on beds or should there be priorities and making decisions? There has been before your thoughts at 889105105 lighting around. Let's go to Ashton here in Tuscaloosa. Ashton quickly trying to get to a bunch of calls your thoughts on this one. So hospitals aren't necessarily at capacity. They're firing healthcare workers because they don't want to get vaccinated. That should be a personal choice, and that's why there aren't enough beds. It's not because they're so full that they can't take on anybody else there full because they legitimately don't have enough people. To care for these, I got you not necessarily extra, but just people that would normally come in at an average time. So you're saying it's just like the restaurants. There's 100 tables here, but we can only see 50 of them because we don't have the staff even though there's empty places over there. Um, that's a decent point. Joe's got us on a Birmingham this morning, Joe. Good morning, Aaron. Alabama's morning news. Go ahead. Hey, JT. Good morning. How are you? Good. Go ahead. Hey, I'm I totally concur with Cindy and Bruce. So the first thing you said what? That I'm fat or that I'm a liberal. Well, kind of both have been listening to for a long time. And so you You think I'm a fact? Hey, Joe, Have you ever have you ever met me? Jody, do you do you know if I'm beige or not? But I've listened to you for a long time. And the first thing you said this morning was I C u beds are being filled up with people that don't have the vaccine. And you said That's just the fact and that's not a fact that is. What's your dad? Where's you? Where's your data? True, Joe, Where do you get your dad on that? How do you know it's not true? Joe. How do you know It's not true Callers calling up going, JT the fact that there aren't badges because of a staffing issues. That's well, you know, you know, the medical personnel I talked to Joe says there are is a problem because the beds are full. They're starting. It's starting to get better. As we just mentioned the news that you know the hospitalizations are starting to level off. But every medical professional I talked to the probably has more data on this than you do. Joe says The beds are full. But thanks for the call Billy quickly and Jasper go ahead. Good morning. Good morning. How are you doing? I'm good. How about you?.

"So a doctor, a lawyer and a preacher decided they were going to go out hunting deer hunting. As I made their way out to the forest, just as they were getting ready to separate and go to their own deer stands. A beautiful 14 point. Buck scampered across the path right in front of him. Quick as a flash. They all solder their weapon. And fired about the same time. Fuck fell over dead. Stunned silence. Wondered. Well, who shot actually killed the buck, who owns this? Responding for a minute lawyer runs over. Makes an inspection for about two seconds, comes running back, said. The preachers. Doctor looks at him. Incredible says How can you possibly know that you looked at it for two seconds? Yeah, Shot went in one ear and out the other. On no preacher, So we're going to see how today goes, but One thing I've been pondering is that each week we do a prayer of confession. Every week and we take time and we do as a congregation. Then we take your time to of silent prayer and meditation as we confess our own personal sense. I was wondering God's grace encompasses all. Why do we keep confessing? Over and over? Why is this such a important part? What is so important about confession? And interestingly Something from my work actually gave me insight into this question. And that is, I don't know if all of you know Amy and I are both psychologist by training. She works with Children and families on the North side. I work downtown at IU, mainly with adults and older adults, either with I assess people for dementia or traumatic brain injury and those types of things and I'll tell you it's fascinating when you can stop and really think about all that our brains do. It's been said that our brains are actually the most complex things in the universe. They're made up of hundreds of trillions of connection more complex really than just about anything else in the entire universe. It's amazing to see what they can do, but it's just is amazing. To see what happens when they start to go bad and as we start to lose some skills and the like and and to work with these people to talk to these people, and it's those commission very challenging talks, But there's another disorder that I run into a few times a year. It's also challenging. It's called conversion disorder. Conversion disorder is interesting because these are folks that begin to have problems with movement. Or some of their senses, So they have trouble taking us you know, in information in the world to their touch or their sight, or smell or taste or things, But they've seen several specialists and they really can't figure out why they can't find a medical for reason for why they're having these difficulties. And yet the difficulties are severe enough that it's beginning to affect them socially or they're unable to hold the job or it's help. It's hurting them functionally in some way. That's a fascinating disorder. So let me give you an example What this might look like. So I had a 73 year old woman who Came into my office and she was complaining of balance problems. And usually we see balance problems there. More of you know, people are starting to lean one way or the other, and they start walking a little bit like they're on ice, you know, etcetera. So we talked about her problem and and After we talked a little bit. We actually saw her later. Her point began late in the morning. So we took a lunch break and she and her husband were going out for lunch. I watch them walk out to the car looked at him through my window. It was the most fascinating balance problem I've ever seen. I'm actually going to lean over because I can't do what she did, but it looked like this, but she wasn't leaning on something. Good. She had these incredible moments that she said well balanced problems and what I wanted to say to her was you have the most amazing balance have ever seen for you to be able to move like that and not fall over and she never fell. Was incredible. Dr lunch. We were being to explore this further. And found out that she had a career that began in the armed services. During her time she actually served in several cents overseas. She's seen actions she's seen several friends killed right in front of her eyes. She saw all kinds of other horrific things. But being in the army or armed services she never discussed. These things just never felt like she could. She was, but she was a soldier in the US Army. They don't feel like you should talk about it, so she didn't after her service. She came home. Mary and she became a police officer. Very similar work. She saw all kinds of horrific things. She you know, was pulling people out of car accidents. Mangled bodies saw people that have been shot all different types of things that she had to deal with. Again. Never talked about any of it Always felt like you know what? My training. I'm strong enough. I really don't need to deal with us. Even when it got to the point where Later in her life, one of her college age Children Ended up committing suicide. With her service revolver. Devastating. And yet she still didn't feel the need to talk about it. She kept it all inside. After a bit. That's when she began, these balance problems began to develop. She felt like she had to keep all this inside and couldn't Let go of it. She handled it in the past..

"Pressuring a key witness. When your particular white collar crime case you need insiders to go back to Enron. It took prosecutors while but they finally got handy fast. I'll the CFO once they had him, you know, they had a key to the safe to the vault, the black box and they were able to demonstrated that trial Alan Weisberg plays a similar role here. He knows everything about the finances. He knows where the money was paid. Why was paid and why wasn't paid etcetera, etcetera. And yes, there was a pressure campaign. It was clear that by calling certain witnesses in etcetera prosecutors were sending a signal that that Weissenberger should be wary. There were as far as we know, Never any discussions about cooperating, but this is how the dance works. And so they hit him with a series of charges and once again to go back to what I think the Trump organization's lawyers expected was something that was very much small ball just like, okay, so he got the use of a Mercedes. You know, year and year out his wife. They didn't report on taxes. Big deal. Um, but the indictment cast a much longer shadow than that. It was not just the Mercedes who was a bunch of these other things that were enumerated. And most I think damaging to Weisberg that was that one charge grand larceny in the second degree. Most of the other charges that he was hit with our 3 to 4 year, Max, and if you're convicted on all of them, it's not like you have to serve 3 to 4 years times. You know, six or however many charge that they are for a total of 20 years. No, they tend to all get to be served at the same time, and maybe The maximum actually serving jail would be two years. But the grand larceny charge is what exposes to maximum two of 15 years. So if he could get as many as you know, be convicted on that, and he gets a half of it eight or 10, and then some of these other charges. It's like for a 73 year old guy. That's real time. It is for anybody, but he's you know, he's a guy in his called in years. So the grand larceny charges key here and it's it's very interesting. It's in some ways the smallest amount of money involved because they enumerated total of $1.76 million in funds that Weisberg didn't pay taxes on but enjoyed the benefit of and got to start Akio Ira with etcetera, etcetera. But of that 1.76 million There is a sub set of $94,000 and change almost $95,000 in federal tax refunds that Weisberg God So in other words, Most of these other crimes are tax related. He failed to report income or, you know, didn't report it properly, etcetera, etcetera. That's the whole pattern. But in this 11 He submitted his tax statements to the federal government and because he under reported income, he got a refund, so he's not basically just hiding or You know, disguising money that he's you know, earned or received from the Trump organization and not paying a full taxes on it. He's actually going and sending a document to the federal government and getting.

"Morning news to former level in police officers facing charges in the controversial arrest of a 73 year old woman with dementia this happened last summer body Cam footage shows the woman being forcibly arrested and taken to the ground after she left the walmart without paying for $13 worth of items. His family says her wrist was broken her shoulder dislocated. Loveland Mayor Jackie Marsh joins us Live to talk about what's next. Good morning. Thanks so much for coming on. Thank you for having me. Yes, we were also shocked and watching that body cam video that the officers were so rough with this woman who seemed to pose no threat to them. What was your initial reaction when you saw that? Um, I think initial reaction is you want to cry? I mean, you just want to cry for the obvious. Distress and pain and confusion. I don't I don't see how anybody watching that could not feel Outraged. Um, but it was a horrible thing to watch on video. I can't imagine what it was like for care. This event happened last summer, Mr Madam Mayor. So when did When did you find out that there was something going on in this event had happened. Well, I think we all found out April 14th. You know, watching, you know on Facebook, and then I think the second video. I don't remember the date that that came out. Of the scene inside the police stations. So I think there are a lot of remaining questions regarding, you know what was reported by the officers and the blue team report. Um, I have not had access to that. I believe the D A's office has the 700 plus page report that I would like to be able to read at some point. I'm not sure when I'll have access to that. I think the people in City Council, including myself, are learning it right along with the public. Yeah, that's that's shocking in itself. Have you talked to the police chief about why it took so long for this to come out? Um, So you're probably aware, you know, we have a city charter that dictates we do not interfere with our three direct reports reports so The council has three people that report to US city manager's city attorney and municipal judge. It is against our charter for us to intervene. So, um, you know, given these severity of this case, um you know, I think we need to do everything in public. The public needs to hear answers to these questions that we have. And I think that's you know the proper way to do it. There's a lot of questions that remain a lot of questions that remain in terms of you know, Walmart reports. Um, what was in that blue team report? Did it go up? The chain of command did it not who was notified? You know the treatment inside the police station, the transfer to the county jail. What happened? They're going to medical. You know, they put her hospital Um, well, there's a lot of remaining questions that we don't have answers for right now. Well, the question I have for you and I understand you want the process to play out to you in the City Council's You still have confidence in chief, Robert Spicer. Um I think that, um, confidence. I think all of our trust has been violated. Assumptions we made have come into question. I think we As a society need to look at the value we put on royalty. Over. Intervening, um over. You know whether your doctor with your a priest, whether your boy scout whether your police officer We need the value. You know, I would. I would want a police officer when they start their shift to say to their fellow police officer, I have your back. I will lay down my life if I need to defend your life. But if you cross the line if you violate our policy, if you violate the rights of a citizen, I will intervene and I will report you. I think that is what we need for trust. We need a full investigation. And in my opinion, we need an oversight committee with teeth that can subpoena documents. Demand witnesses to testify on and I think that's what's needed to restore trust to speak specifically of you know our chief. I don't know all the factions. There is a push that to create this Citizen Trust commission to look at ways to repair that relationship between the police and the community. How would you describe that relationship and what's your stance on on that kind of a commission? It sounds like you'd be in favor of that. Um, I don't think that they have the power that's native could say, um, could say Commission that will, you know, direct, maybe policy changes. What I think needs is more of an oversight commission again that can subpoena that can review complaints from citizens that can review internal investigations. That if they think that a knave Anu has not been explored, they have the power to subpoena. Um it, you know, I don't think the current, um Press Commission that's being proposed is an oversight commission on not to say that you know what? It's not a good commission, but I think we need additional above. Like that would be able to provide. That's my personal opinion. And I realize I'm probably in the minority Loveland Mayor Jackie Marsh. Thank you so much for confidence some time with us this morning. We appreciate it. Thank you. "An urgent legal challenge. His political reporter Jane Norman, No. It was a get together like so many others conducted during covert, the immigration minister and about 20 Indian Australians Mitt for a virtual Q and A and after the hour long meeting this was the verdict from one of them. There is gonna be a backlash against the government, and that's only appropriate. I must sing founded this sick charity turbines for Australia. He says the meeting was ultimately fruitless. There's no justification he believes for the travel ban. In my opinion, it's a band without a plan because they were just on a knee jerk reaction to this situation. Do you know anybody who is stopping in your department who wants to come home? And can you kind of paint a picture of what it's like for them in the moment? She don't anyone that doesn't want to come back? People are saying even if we get jailed or you're fine, we're still at least we with our families. There's people that are stuck. They haven't seen their family members or kids for four months. The government's paws on flights from India has left 9000 Australian stranded in the past week. The number of those considered vulnerable went from 600 to 900. Look, We understand what people are feeling upset. The immigration minister is Alex Hawk. People have had some anger. They've moved to concern about people in India. I think people want to see those repatriations restarting the dance due to be lifted on May 15. But it's not clear how quickly how many or even how Australians will then be able to return in the late up to my 15 were making preparations We need to make And we're very confident we'll be able to be ready to start those repatriations as soon as possible. Before any of that happens, the federal court will hear an urgent legal challenge to the ban lodged by a 73 year olds. Milburn man stranded in India The band was invoked under the Bio Security Act, which gives the Commonwealth broad powers to do what's necessary to stop the spread of covert 19 constitutional law expert and to me says, Among other things, the lawyers will argue that a fundamental human right has been limited for the argument here is that it is a fundamental common, all right of citizenship, that you have a right to return to your country. And so if you're going to have a legal power that allows someone to restrict that right, it has to be very, very clear on the face of it, that it is a power to Mystic people's entry into the country. That's a good argument, according to professor to me. But she's reluctant to make a call because the last time the high court considered a challenge to a border closure brought by mining billionaire Clive Palmer against Western Australia. It started with the government. The court was very, very concerned about the spread of covered 19 the level of risk involved, and it said that it should take a precautionary approach. Have the court took the same approach in relation to this challenge. Then it would be likely that the talent would be lost. I'm are seeing is hoping the hearing won't be needed at all. And that by the end of next week, his friends and family will be free to come home. These people belong here. We're not bringing strangers in. We're bringing our mates back home. And that's Amos seeing the founder of the charity Turbines for Australia, Jane Norman reporting them. A short time ago, The Immigration minister Alex Hawk again confirmed that the government's considering reproach repatriation flights were stranded in the end Australians but it's still working out when and how to get it done safely in the minister's warning. It could take some time. Well, The mathematics is relentless, but my point is, you know, as fast as we've been able to move people in other countries, more people have come onto the list sometimes and given it to third wave. We don't know that yet about how many more will come onto that list in India, You know they did so well in the first wave, but the second wave is Is very bad. The logistics in India very difficult people convey in remote towns and villages, and to get them safely to an airport is a very difficult undertaking. And with a lot of people being infected in, they don't know what the evening transit if they stop, you know anywhere on the way we've got a considerable these matters to make sure people are safe on the planes being Petrie ated. And the safest possible going into those quarantines that immigration Minister Alex Hawk speaking there on our own breakfast. As India rials from this deadly covert surge of senior government official is warning of the third wave is inevitable as you just heard there. So, with that threat looming, some Indian Australians looking with him via the efforts being made to extract cricketers and stuff from the country. Cricket. Australia, says 38 Ozzy's will be removed in coming days and sent Why that the meld I'm so shrill anchor while they wait to be allowed to return home. Meanwhile, others dragons remind stranded getting little help and facing no way out, has serious, edgy reports. For more than a year. He's been woman, Meg Aurora and her adult daughter have been trying to get back home from the city of Amarista. In the northwestern state of Punjab. Flights are scarce and expensive, and every time a seat becomes available, it's Justus quickly snapped up. I have lived in this trailer for more than 25 years. I have worked all these 25 years. I have paid my taxes I have in a good citizen, and when it has bean time for the government to, you know, give something back to its citizens. I distrust. I feel so disheartened that they just left us here in a place that is infested with covered. So when she heard that Australian cricketers, coaches, commentators and other officials will soon be on their way home via the male dives for sure, Alenka She again felt let down. All they're going to do is they're going to go for like, you know, 15 20 Day holiday in the melody in store somewhere nice and then they're going to intend to Australia so Why is it so different? You know, I mean, everybody that has come from in there. We're going to get quarantined. Anyway. You know the rapid testing If anybody is blowing positive, you know, put them separately. He traveled to Punjab state in November to see his mother before she died. Now he just wants to get home. Just Within few days or few weeks, you know, and he's frustrated that not only is he getting no help, he'd face a possible fine or jail time for just trying to return to Australia. I think the government is ba Taj on that. I don't think this is right thing to say from the prime minister, you know, they should help us who are where we stuck here in India on on 30 basis, Because if we're staying here in case this coveting is spreading is no treatment available here. I think Prime minister should organize your flights directly from the cities where people are ASAP, I would say make, Aurora agrees. I just hope that the government realizes that There are people who have been good citizens who have paid their Texas who have been good to the country, and, you know now they need the country to just, you know, wake up and say Okay, you know, these are our people. Prince Philip, husband of Britain's Queen Elizabeth, dies at 99

"Years old, and he was married to Queen Elizabeth for 73 years. Robert what's been the reaction in the UK? Well, it's fair to say that, you know, it's obviously huge news both in Britain on across the Commonwealth, not shocking because, of course, Prince Philip did. You could have been brothers 99, perhaps not even tragic, because he'd had such an active a life. But certainly this is in Britain today. A somber national occasion. He died at the age of 99 just a few months short of his 100th birthday at Windsor Castle. Come on. Now, there is this debate about the funeral, which will be problematic because of course, as we've just been discussing with covert restrictions, Crowds cannot gather on. According to the Duke's wishes. It won't be a state funeral, but it will be a funeral at Windsor Castle with it with a military procession. I think overwhelmingly the reaction in Britain as it plays out. Will be a deep empathy with the queen. Many people in Britain observing that she went out end her monarchy like Queen Victoria is that widowed queen on people very touched by how she paid that tribute to her husband to Prince Phillip, describing him as her strength and her stay. So I think overwhelming in Britain, it's a moment of reflection of remarkable marriage, a remarkable life. Other Duke but also deep empathy of for the Queen herself. She injures the difficult days ahead, and I think there's one other point I would make, which is people just fascinated with this extraordinary
