"Yes. What was it again? Can't remember. No, why would I remember Ruth Nelson's new name? This is why the YouTube comments are going to come in huge because there's going to be at least two people that shout out the actual name there while we can't remember it off the top of our heads. Reminder on UCLA ten rotation players back from the final 14. The group that went 22 and ten last season, mckernan's groups got off to when I start earlier this week. And. They're gonna get a handful here. I resist being too overly confident with how I think this game is gonna go. I love this matchup. I understand that nationally, you know, this game will get a little bit of run, but we're still in the middle of November, but this is why I love when college basketball can navigate into these kind of games. We talked about it a year ago when Gonzaga and Baylor scheduled late into the off season to make sure that potential one versus two matchup could happen. This is a top 5 matchup. Obviously. And it's not hampered like college football where you don't get to schedule for the upcoming season in the previous off season. You know, it's very hard. It's very unusual for that to happen. I will go I will go with UCLA to win, but the number is just big enough for I'm gonna take nova to cover four and a half on this one. You say they made 13 threes. On and it's season opener. It was the most in a game for UCLA since 2019. I think this game's got fun potential to be high scoring because the teams are veteran laden. But I think Villanova will give him a good game and credit to these coaches for this thing got finalized like first week of August or something like that. I can't wait to watch it. Give me bruins to win novo to cover. And somewhere in the I'm going to say it'll be like 79 77 UCLA something like that. You mentioned UCLA making threes Villanova was 16 of 30 from three. And it sees an opening win over mount saint Mary's. They won that game by 40. They took 56 shots in the game, 30 of them were from three. That's more or less how the 2018 championship team played. The 2019 team even more so. Like every starter in the season open up a Villanova, took at least one three and three starters took at least 7. So they're gonna launch. I love it. I love the style of play. And so I do think this will be a fun game between two, not just final four contenders, but national championship contenders should be noted. UCLA is going to be without Cody Riley, who sprained his knee in the season opener. It's going to keep him sidelined this weekend. He'll be reevaluated next week. He's a starter. Average ten points and 5.4 rebounds last season. So he matters. Should be no surprise, season opener. It was a 95 58 win over CSU Bakersfield, Johnny junior had 19 points. Jules Bernard also had 19 points. 5 star freshman Peyton Watson came off the bench. He was only two of 11 from the field, zero 5 from three. So not the greatest debut, but that's the thing about him being on this team, joining this roster is that you can let him ease into it. You don't need him to be a duke needed Paulo Ben Carroll to be a star right from the jump. UCLA doesn't need that from paint Watson, just let him come along at whatever place he comes along. And, you know, if he's there, great, if not, you still got the bulk of a team back that that went to the final four last season. I'm with you. You'll make UCLA four and a half point favorite make Villanova four and a half .5, but I'm just gonna take the points in this one. I think these are two comparable teams, either of which could cut nets down in New Orleans. So I'll just take the four and a half and pray for something that looks like a one possession game in the final minute. Game three. Saturday, ten 30 p.m. eastern. It's number 5, Texas at number one, Gonzaga, inside the Dan dick out athletic center. Kim pump's got it 'cause we don't have lines on these yet because it's so far away. But Kim pops got it Gonzaga. Do you see this? Guess what you think it is? Trivia time. This is not a trivia sign. I'm gonna say the way you set that up. It makes me I'll say Gonzaga -7. 11. What? That's a big number. What? I know. I don't think that actually gonna be a line. There's no way. The line's not gonna be I think it'll be. When you say that, like usually, man, usually the line when it comes out is almost I don't wanna say almost always. It's often within two points. I can't see, I can't imagine this line. Is anything larger than I was gonna say 6? I bet it's gonna get up around 8. Remember last year, Gonzaga was laying all these big numbers and then beating everybody by 25. I know. I know, I know. Gonzaga -11, according to Kim palm, you can watch it on ESPN tube, dead leg will be there. What do you think? Oh boy..

"For the vaccine now. Officially FDA approved. Yes, and that's a different name. What does that name? They said it during the news. I didn't catch it. Comeere. Naughty, I think is how to pronounce it. You think of something this kind of as they would say important. It. Would you be ever pronounced name easier, maybe more catchy. What's the way I got an email from Denny and Dayton. They made $33 billion off of this, and that's the best they could come up with. Exactly. There you go. Yeah. Comb ear. Naughty, comeere Naughty. It's probably a combination called Pfizer. Four doctors, names or some such that they had Doctor Co Doctor Muir. Doctor. Naughty. Uh, let's talk about the ramifications of all this and Would be. Yeah. The medical perspective on a doctor Carl, Victim bomb. Always a pleasure to have you on, sir. Thank you for having me on. It's great to be here. So what does this mean? Do you suppose dot com as far now that it's officially approved? What How does this move forward from now is going to make a difference. Yeah. I mean, I think it's reassuring because I think it's kind of exciting to know that the FDA is carefully reviewed the Visor M R and a vaccine. And has determined that it is safe. It is effective and that the company is able to make it and I reproduce both safe way to manufacture it. And get it out to the public, and that's the Kind of approval that we look for for all the medications and devices. And vaccines that we develop in the United States, So I think it's good news. Now there's some that would ask Dr. Including myself. You wonder if this vaccine is quote known to be safe and effective. How come the doctors have no idea how many boosters you may or may not need going forward? Well, I think what it tells us is that the virus is always changing, and that when the virus changes vaccine that we made You know, a few weeks ago may not be the same as what we need now, and so sometimes we can adapt quickly, and sometimes it takes a little bit of time. I think they're idea behind. An additional shot is if we boost the antibody levels higher, we may be able to protect ourselves a little bit more from some of the varying strange That are now circulating. Yeah, but just in general Doc, because this one that the delta variant developed in my opinion rather quickly. I mean, how how many vaccines are too many? In your opinion? I mean, if if it changes in very years and 456 times in a year are we supposed to get 456 vaccines or how many is too many? Well, I don't think we look at it that way. I think we look at it. What's the best way to protect ourselves, so the fewest number of people suffer. And so, you know, I don't think it's realistic to expect somebody to get four or 56 shots in a year. But I think that if we say that you get your your first couple of shots And that builds up immunity. And then maybe six months later, you need a booster. That's a pretty reasonable approach. So hopefully that's what we're going to be able to accomplish, But, you know This virus has been pretty tricky and it's it's made us change and adapt throughout the 18 months, we've been struggling with it. Dr. Carl Victim bombers are guests in Doc. How do we get out ahead of this thing? So that We're not constantly, You know, there's not always ball back to the year and being react to this thing as opposed to. I mean, for I hesitate to say defeat the thing But is it just gonna is it always going to be this way? Uh, this thing is obviously mutating at a very rapid pace. Yeah, So I mean, I think everybody would love to have a crystal ball to be able to predict the future and say this is what the virus is going to do over the next year and a half for two years. And what you know there's a couple of possibilities. One is is that We will get enough people vaccinated enough People will have immunity and this virus will start to become less of a threat to us and we'll start to small there down the other possibilities. It will continue to change and evolve. And try to obeyed and cause more trouble for us over the next year or so. Before we can gain. Sufficient immunity and containment that it's not causing outbreaks and causing people to feel sick. Doc. In your opinion. I've wondered this. I want to ask you. Is there anything to be said about okay? The Delta variant is has been reported. It's much more communicable. Is there anything that could be said about You know, with adult various spreading so much more that we It's short term. There's a lot of misery. But long term. Is there a chance that we get this thing over with? And between the vax and people getting covid recovering and having antibodies? Maybe by the end of the year? We're kind of roughly out of this thing. What's your thoughts on that? Well, I think there's a chance and there's reason to be hopeful. I think what would probably help right now would be if You know more people are being a little bit mindful. Wearing mask washing their hands. Try the Stay out of harm's way and not gathering and big groups where people aren't wearing masks and in close quarters and things like that. I think that will help. I think getting people vaccinated will help. And I do think there's a possibility that as we get through this particular variant that maybe we'll see things start to calm down, I think will know. When we look around the world and see right now we're not seeing Other variants that are emerging that are causing the same kind of trouble that the delta variant is causing. So hopefully This will be one of the last gasp. So this Irish, But I think we have to keep our guard up because we just don't know. And Dhaka I I know you're for the vaccine. But is there anything to be said about Look, it's not a vaccine in the word of the normal sense. It's kind of more of a of a symptom suppressors. So is there anything to be said about And now people are getting people are vaccinated. They're getting covid. But they're not experiencing any symptoms. So they're going out there going on with their normal day, and maybe the spreading it more than if they weren't vax and could just Hey, I'm kind of sick. I'm going to stay home and stay away from everybody is is that maybe doing something to to spreading this thing like wildfire? Yeah, I don't think so. I mean, I think that all of our vaccines work in the same way. Even the ones we give for polio that we give for tetanus and other things. They're built to try and develop our immune system. They are not a shield that prevents an infection. Well really prevents, and infection is when we get enough people vaccinated. We don't see polio circulating around the community. And so you know to say that, um this vaccine is somehow different or technology is different. I don't Think is the right way to look at it. But but, like polio, polio, polio for, and I mean, you only need one back for that, right. You don't need boosters and 3rd 4th 5th shots, did you actually when you're a kid, you get three shots initially in the first year and then you get a booster when you're about five. And sometimes you get a booster when you're older. So again, our immune system needs a little bit of help training it and and to get the most out of it, And so, you know, we get lots of shots when we're kids, so this is not that different. I think we just aren't used to getting quite as many shots when we're talks. Well, you and you mentioned nobody has a crystal ball here. But how in your mind? What are we looking at? Here is far as like what you were just talking about with polio, where it's just, uh you know, it's in the rear view mirror, and we don't have to think about it anymore..

"Sir John Dempsey for analysis. Still double the US's golf Commissioner Emeritus. John. Welcome back to the airwaves. How are you, sir? John I'm well, but it sounds like you might be playing the theme for this coverage of CBS golf. The U. S Open is on NBC. John. We did the best we could with short notice. But thanks for pulling you doing, John. How Well I was doing better before you pointed that out. I'm sorry. Well, thanks, we'll edit. We'll edit this out before the actual interview airs. Before we get to your analysis of the first two days of the U. S open, uh, and your predictions for the weekend, How is retired Life? Retired life is is good. I think I told you that I had a hip replacement of two weeks ago, and this week I golfed. Uh, for the first time I go off to 18 holes on Monday and Wednesday and I am proud to report I did not have any hip pain. I'm not proud to report that I did not play well, but that's probably not a surprise to you because you have seen me play so How is the supply of Oxy cotton going? Well, how is the supply of Oxy cotton thus far as it holding now, It's I need a refill. So I've got to call. My guy said about that, and, uh And, uh, does that help or hurt on the course. The OxyContin? Yes. Do you mix it with anything else? Do you crush it up and mix? It was kids all I would never mix it with anything else. I would never do that. You might have me confused with somebody else. Okay, So your analysis of the first two days old guys like us. We're pulling for Phil Mickelson. It appears he is going to finish today. Three or four over won't make the cut. I just saw him in trouble exactly Similar to a we witnessed live a few years ago up here on the north side, the North shore at, uh, Conway farms when he hit a way off and behind a Concession tent but still hit over the tend onto the green and birdied that hole, but it's not going to save him today. Uh, yeah, I think I just saw the the shot that you're talking about, and he was behind the tent and I think he's on now. I don't have a TV in the room where I am, but I think he's got a pretty long par putt, which The way he's been putting. I would have Mickelson bogey this which would make him three over. Um I think the cut is going to be about that, so he could still make it But he's not really been showing us his best as you mentioned. This is a tournament for old guys. Who had ever heard of Richard Bland. Great Britain. He's a 48 year old journeymen. He won his first European tour title just recently, and that enabled him to play in the U. S Open. He's 48 the odds of him winning this tournament. John are 1000 to 1. But Richard Bland is now five under par, and he is Tied for the lead in the U. S Open with Russell Henley, who is somewhere in it ranked 60, other 65th or something in the world. He's never, you know, not not knocked my socks off as a pro, but he's a good golfer, obviously, and he is playing very well this weekend, and he's tied for the lead with Richard Bland. Who would have can't come up with the name Richard Bland. John, What do you think about that? Well, I think he's probably a better player than either one of us. I don't make fun of his name is English. Its European? Whatever. Um, so kept a and D shambo are within a stroke. I hope that the TV network in the Puja have enough sense to pair them. Tomorrow and just see what happens. Well, I think pairing on weekends is based on how you finish on Fridays. So I don't know if they networks or the USDA have much choice in that. But did you see that? Um Kepco was doing another TV interview on the golf Channel and be shambo kind of Mhm. Kind of photo bombed him from the back. He jumped up to kind of show his head in the interview, and then he later talked about how he loved doing it because he wanted to stick it to capture and these two guys Are just really going at it. And to your point, it would be great, You know? Wouldn't it be great for golf if kept to Andy Shambo were 12 going into Sunday and they had to play that final round together. Well, I'm looking at the I'm looking at the scorecard here. D Shambo is done for the day and even kept us still out. I think he has three or four to go, and he's minus one. So there's a chance that If he falls back a little bit kept. I mean, maybe they get paired together tomorrow. They'll be fun to watch. Yeah, they could. They could get paired together tomorrow. They're probably not going to They're probably not going to be paired together on Sunday unless they catch fire tomorrow. There what 56 shots behind Russell Henley and and Richard Bland, but But, you know, I think their feud is probably good for the game because it does attract a lot of Attention to golf. Yeah, I agree. But I they? Yeah, they look like they're going at it, And I think it's good for the game. Yeah, they look like two guys who both want to be starting quarterback. So John Dempsey steroids Now I know you're not in Chicago in as we speak, but we are having a finally you know, the year after you're done is when the station puts together the golf tournament. We have a double DS links and drinks open. At Klein Creek Golf Club, which is out wind field on Monday, July 26. All the stations, my understanding are involved in it. We should have great turnout..

Russell Henley Andy Shambo Phil Mickelson USDA Mickelson Richard Bland John Dempsey 48 Monday, July 26 1000 Sunday 65th Wednesday Chicago D Shambo Monday Tomorrow tomorrow John 1

"You've ever loved. I think there's so much to learn from listening to people talk about the people who make them feel a certain way. So there I am. On the couch with Mister Rogers. Wow, Look at my face. The way that he looked at me. I felt like he saw me when we people can understand our feelings and talk about them. We're free to be who we like being For 30 years, Mr Rogers look through our television screens and said to millions of kids, I see you. I like you just the way you are. One man recalling how Lenin's body was put in the back of a police car while bleeding from his mouth. Woman trying to remember the number of gunshots that rang through the air. Was five, she stated. John Lennon's death was an eclipse dominating the global news cycle for days after the murder. Even before the way high profile deaths are covered. Now, in the age of social media, his death was still all consuming. Tributes poured in. Radio stations played his music. Sam Cooke usually kicks it difficult to catch. You know? Yes, man, I'm having the best time of my life is a great opportunity for the Ravens at the time of my life. If we're playing like Wednesday Day football Bingo, your card would've caught fire. Fumble, interception, Pick six muffed punt. And the Raider Ravens turned that into seven. A few plays later. I'm telling you at that point I'm all in while Thursday night Football is one of the worst things ever. I'm thinking after what I'm seeing right here Wednesday Day Football is the best thing ever. And not because it was so good, But because it was so bad, so bad. That was awesome. Like I was hoping this never ends. I don't want that ever to end. You know when you find your favorite show And you bend your favorite show like the Queen's gambit and whatever you show us, and maybe it's only six episodes or seven episodes and you're so locked in and you're binging and the Bam! It's over. You're still pissed. You want more so badly. That was yesterday, man. I'm thinking myself. I hope this never ends Best show ever. Like I said, I'm looking for an A or an F and that was an a plus of an F right best stuff ever. Unfortunately, they all settled down on four toy. The rest of the game did not go that way. Tens that well, I mean, Nobody knows who's more important and voters Town Hall. She's asking for almost four times the questions she she is horrible. And like hash, you describe her pretty perfectly earlier in the show. And then we do have more on that in some more for speaking of last night, Joe Biden. I'm not sure if you touched on this. What a reason to vote for him. He supports eight year olds being able to change their gender. I've got that audio coming up. Quite a mom their mom a year. Mom of the year. Exactly. I was just watch that video earlier. I don't know who's worse, Biden or that mother for thinking that that's Ah. Well, I'm just surprised They even have answers to this stuff. But you can check out that video. Here's one from both Martin Michael reported this slightly earlier, but you really have to see this. I mean, Fells Point always been one of my favorite places if I go out for a night in the city Um, these dirt biking thugs took over the video was incredible. They took over the Broadway square there. If you're familiar, I'm sure with veils point, and they were just riding their bikes four and up and down the streets up and down the sidewalk that this wasn't two or three in the morning. There was people eating dinner. Ah, woman being interviewed said Have they spun out or lost control? Somebody might have been killed. Just trying to eat dinner. Maybe with your family, maybe with a date. I'm ruined by these just bugs. The video is incredible. They're idiots. That's the best way to describe their idiots. It's the police who sit around while the police leadership in the city leadership. Don't don't don't chase them. Don't don't get them. Is there in a place like Fells Point would be pretty easy to get up there and block off the exits. There aren't very many ways in and out of hell's point. You could get them. You just have to have the will. We don't have the leadership with the will. One more story here. This one just came across the New Jersey High school, you know, have all these zooms and virtual classes. But all that said the student got in trouble for what was behind him during a virtual class. That was a 17 year old who claims his teacher asked him to remove a trump 2020 flag from his wall. And when he didn't he was asked to leave the class. And he said, quote just because I don't follow. His agenda or political view. He has to suppress me in a way that violates my freedom of speech. That's Anthony Rome barrio interesting story, and I just wonder if that same teacher if it was a black lives matter. Or Joe Biden flag would have done the same for some reason. I'm doubting so I doubt it, too. You can tell a lot about people by what they can stand existing I think people are learning a lot about their kids Teachers. If there's one good thing to come out of the heavy exactly that will have a great weekend, Derek more wcbm dot com and follow us on Facebook and social media feeds. Thanks there. Thank you and me now back to the phones. There goes Dale and adult welcome. Hey, there. Good. How you doing? We're going about this all wrong. And you guys, you guys are going to be going off to the left when you should be willing to write what you got to do about this, You know, disarming these people with knives and guns. You need to get Clint Eastwood. Because he was able to shoot the gun out of their hands. For the knife out of their hand. Give him becoming trained. The police handled the situation so So what? By saying to be right? Yeah, No, it's look, It's an easy shot to make, And that's not me. That's science there, Dale. Everybody knows you can easily shoot a guy in the hand. Can you believe adult human beings? They're suggesting this garbage. I think they're like, Like, like an Alfred. You put their head in the sand, You know, Theo kind of conversation. You have. When you scored a case of Milwaukee's best in your 19 years old was sitting around with your friends talking about how you'd save the world. It's not how adults think you're supposed to grow out of that. When you finished puberty. I appreciate the call Dale. And Joe Biden long time ago finished puberty. Chris and Severn a park. Welcome to the show. Derek. Thank you. So a different aspect of this that you haven't touched some, but I'm sure you've spoken about before. Is the fact that Ah lot of times these people that are committing crimes shooting at perfect strangers or shooting at gang gang folks. They're on drugs, and I'm just you know, I'm just a suburbia girl and don't know anything about the rough streets, but I do. Know that it was pretty well known that if people were on PCP, you could shoot him five times and they could still come out you because they just don't feel that Yeah, but a little known fact Chris about people on PCP and meth and cocaine. Whenever is, there are certain words that psychologists are trained to say that negate the rage that they feel in the drug rush? I'm kidding. But you know that's seems to be the left thinks I don't get it. They're nuts, and their policies will get more good. People killed more innocent people killed and they don't care that I don't think they're ever going to actually try to do this. I think that they're saying this because it's placating the mob. You know, like, Oh, yeah, I'll neuter police. Totally. I'll make them make them shoot the ground. They'll have to fire the 56 shots in their gun maximum, and they'll have to fire five warning shots before they can even considered point a gun at anybody, or we'll put those need nasty cops away. I don't know who this appeals to you. And it scares me that anybody would vote for anyone who would advocate something remotely close to this, But It's 2020. Really? Nothing should surprise Is that all I appreciate the call Chris Alice in Catonsville. Welcome. Thank you for taking my call. Yes, Rodney King was on PCP. And look, it took almost like a dozen. They tased him a whole bunch of times too. Unbelievable. Yeah. So Hee, I didn't know who. First of all, I would be willing as a social worker or a psychologist to go out and actually do this. I mean, they would have to not be in the beginning. I think there'd be a lot of idealists out there going. Yes, This is what I've trained my whole life for and then after the third funeral attending of their colleagues Imagine if the taste was sort of sour in their mouth. And how much could they be paying these people?.

"Oh, you don't have to remind me. I It was, uh, my brothers and sisters in law enforcement that were were there. But again, it's that comparison that I was making to what was happening in comparison to what was going on in the rest of the country. Cincinnati P D was just so much better at our response that we dealt with the riders and they just didn't get the the advantage here like they did elsewhere, Big day. Did damage. Ah, They insulted officers We had offered that got shot and thank God it is Cavallari Hellman. There's some really, really bad actors that came to town. But I think the longer they were here, the more they realize we're never going to be and had the advantage like we did in Portland, Seattle, No Louisville and New York and so many other places. You know, And I'm sure they have fine police departments, too, But we just happen to have the best Willy. And like I said, we were monitoring better. We were responding better were spun precisely. And, ah, our folks were just on top of it, and therefore we're just just a little better than everybody else. Now you told me off the air that there is a group of individuals. Whether is in TV, black lives matter or other groups may be anywhere between five and 10,000 individuals who kind of just roll around the country and vans waiting for something to happen. And they find a soft spot. It might be Kenosha. It might be Minneapolis. It might be low level and described from the intelligence of what occurs. What in TIFA slash black lives matter, and those individuals who roll around looking for opportunities to describe what's happening this afternoon as they get ready for more riots. Well, I don't remember giving you those numbers. I don't know. I didn't have that came out of Washington. 5 to 10,000. Okay, well, and I I I I'm aware of that, too, that there are groups that roll round looking for trouble and ah, again. They like soft targets, and Cincinnati is not a soft target AA, in part, not only because of our police department and ability to respond, but again because our police in community relations I think they come here and they find here. You know, they were not happy about everything with the police department. Nobody has the perfect relationship. But in general they Ah, they come here and they find out they can't rev up the people in the community in the same station that they can in other communities. They also find that the police are very precise. And their response, Teo whatever it is, they try to pull. And so I think that's why three or four nights here with three or four nights of riding And elsewhere. Portland If I'm not mistaken, it hasn't stopped yet. Correct is a 115 days. That that's just that's just unbelievable. I mean, what? Where is their police department? And why aren't they stopping this and ending this now? Last Sergeant Daniels. Let's say you're you're with the no knock warrant. 01 or two a year in Cincinnati. And you announce your presence. You have the battering ram and you and you hit the door a couple times and and you get shot in the leg. And you have in your pocket. A no knock warrant Authorized by Judge Maybe Judge Melville Marsh has authorized a no knock warrant. You presented affidavits. Not had a brief hearing with her and major drug deal going on. This is one of five or six locations. They're going to be hit simultaneously and you're filing an affidavit. She gives you a warrant, which is the ability to do a no knock warrant to go in. And you and as you're going in a gun shot is fired at you from inside the apartment that strikes you in the leg. What do you do at that point? We're really well was not on a search warrant was actually just on a radio run. The closest I ever came to meeting my maker so far in my 54 years or life was when knocking on the door of a person that was suicidal of the report head and fired. It's been a long, long, long time ago now. The 56 shots through the door. One of them narrowly missed my head. Basically you get covered stuff. If you don't have a clear target, Tio shoot back at It makes it very difficult to Ah to return fire. We shoot at We shoot when we have a a target of someone that is trying to hurt or kill us. And just shooting through walls and doors are very difficult to do, and it is somewhat questionable to do because you don't know that person as a hostage. You don't know if they have Children with them. That's some tough stuff, and I don't know all the details of what went down in Louisville, but I think maybe that's some of what we might hear about it. Is the did they return fire and know what it is. They were shooting at you Could you know Jonathan Mattingly, Bread Hankerson and Miles Cosgrove. Plus, there's two more outside. About 25 shots were fired and they could not have known where the shots were going because someone through the walls into the apartment next to them, and there were a couple people next and the next department and almost killed And so I'm looking at this thing, not murder, but maybe a negligent homicide or the wrongful discharge of a firearm. I'm not thinking about murder. They had no criminal intent. And maybe it's only departmental. Violations. But you're saying in CPD if there's three officers on with a warrant, and they and someone gets shot in the leg, they just don't open up fire willy nilly and fire through doors and windows. You have to have a target correct. You absolutely have to have a partner just like that. That night. I did not. I did not fire my weapon needed to the other officers on the scene at the guy who was trying to kill me. I did not fire my weapon, and eventually he committing suicide. But there was no way we could clearly respond. On do it safely because we just didn't know what was on the other side of that door again. Today at a hostage they would get mine wasn't a search alone and, uh but I did not return fire. One lucky officers that down for a long career without evidence. Him that discharge my weapon. I feel for the entire Louisville community. As they go through this, I especially feel for the officers who are going to be Trying to keep the city calm and safe. A CZ. These announcements come out like you said. It does seem like maybe there's a possibility that whatever is going to be charged isn't going to be to the satisfaction of those who are You are poised and ready, Tio. Demonstrate. Well, I Lastly I will say this is one of the three officers in the and a hearing said that he fired blindly from the exterior of the residents through a window with closed blinds and curtains. And I can't imagine that being copasetic unless your deal I I can't imagine the circumstances. But Kenneth Walker, who was there and illegally had a gun. Reasonably believe that it was like a home invasion deal and ah is not murder. It's not aggravated murder, but what it is, is a wrongful discharge of a weapon, resulting in the death of an innocent person. Briana Taylor. We'll see what happens later today. All right, Sergeant Dan Hills. Thanks for coming on the Bill Cunningham show..

"Made a mistake. It didn't know those were cops and the cops made a mistake and shooting Brown and Taylor. They meant to shoot Kenneth Walker, but they none of this should have happened anyway. Kenneth Walker shouldn't a shot, but he was justified in the officer's shouldn't have killed Browning Taylor. He she was the one that did the first shot while we were talking off the air. I mean, Walker shoots. They don't hit her at all our hidden him and all their own, and she takes 56 shots. Correct. Some are speculating. Did he use her as a shield? Would they be ableto test with the autopsy? Be able to show that all right, okay. Kenneth Walker. I don't think Kenneth I. This is speculation would have testified that yes, I used my girl. I don't think that happens. I would like that. A man wouldn't do that. But Kenneth Walker is not going to say Yeah, I know. And the officers they saw a silhouette, according to Daniel, camera of a man and a woman, and they saw the flash and the instantaneously fired. S o. I mean, just give everyone the visual here and correct me if I'm wrong. The only person I was charged is the police officer Hankinson, who was outside the apartment who likely didn't hit Briana Taylor. I could not print well, they couldn't prove it. And the configuration of the apartment is typical. You walk in the front door, and there's like the living area. Then you go down the hallway on the rights of bathroom go down the hallway. There's a bedroom and so he was shooting through the plate glass window. Again, blindly blindly with the blinds drawn, but that that was found on the hard way back in the bedroom, which was like 20 ft, away from his line of fire. Now, what if they could have Determined that he was the guy that hit Taylor would be that it wouldn't be one endangering might be reckless Homicide. It wouldn't be first degree murder wouldn't be 2nd 2nd would be reckless homicide that carries up to 20 years in prison if you recklessly caused the death of another With heedless indifference and wanton, but they couldn't prove and they don't think that Hankerson is the one that shot anybody because they were back in the room and he was firing. Through the but ballistics from the FBI and the Louisville Police Department. Stapley there there or is the state police? Are they? They differ. Yes, they do. And and Daniel Camera says I don't understand why But in a sense, it's interesting, but that doesn't really make a legal difference as to whether or not What is long? It's not Hank. It's a song is not Hankerson because the two cops had a right to fire and Kentucky State put. I made a note on that Kentucky state police. The fatal shot, according to Kentucky State police came from Cosgrove. But the FBI said it was undetermined. So, but whether it was whether it was Mattingly or Cosgrove does not make a legal difference. As long as it wasn't Hankerson and they couldn't prove it was Hankerson and the best evidence was it couldn't be Hankerson now, but Hankinson is one facing the three charges of one endangerment. That'll be a year from now that long time s So how many years is that? Explain what you said about Kentucky as the rebuttal or what is it called? It's called rebuttable presumption. If you're charged with a low level felony in class D like in David is a first degree Class D felony. It's a low level felony, which means You get maximum is 1 to 5, but probation is presumed It's a rebuttable presumption, so And of course, I would assume that Hankerson has no previous record, and I would assume he wasn't on the influence of drugs. And he had he was in a place he had a right to be so so that goes in his favor. But what doesn't go in his favor? Is that he was part of enterprise that resulted in the death of an innocent woman. And he's a trained police officer firing blindly into an establishment. That's not good, either, so it if you can rebut the presumption of probation. By union there any other charges Willie that could be done. Mattis is Eddie that's a hammer and said, unless something we've been at this for, he's added since the middle of May said, unless something really dramatic arises of which were completely unaware. And he was asking about Kenneth Walker is he? They originally charged him with attempted murder of a police officer, and they dropped those charges about a month into it. And he didn't say it's unlikely, he said, at the end that any charges will come of this event in the future unless something arises of which run from Tommy's Kenneth Walker, Kenneth Walker and a sense did nothing legally wrong. What No. Nor did the police officers because of the defense and they had a right to do that. And so each side the only party responsible was the guy outside the cop firing outside. It shouldn't have done what he did. So for those who want charges in the death of Brown and Taylor, there are no charges. About Brown and Taylor's homicide, and it was a homicide. But it is not because it was justified. The two officers were justified in what they did, and Kenneth Walker because of the cancel doctrine was justifying what he did. And as you said, Bengtson will probably they can stack on charges. It's a potential 15 years. But as you said, like he's going to be allowed patient today, you have to lay out why You can rebut the presumption of probation. Sir. The hard part for Cameron, who I thought He did a pretty solid job in a tough situation and even said toward the end and what people we had to go with what the law says, and enact justice in often times. Not often times, always revenge is not justice. Thiss wasn't racial. There was no evidence that race played any part of this crack and social activist wanted to be a racial incident in it. Like so many others, whether it's Michael Brown, or whether it's Jacob like Jacob Laker, you know whether it's George Floyd. There's no evidence that race played any part unless you go into the idea. Because the civilian is black. The cop is white. Therefore, it must be a humongous presumption that is often overlooked..

"But having said that I can recall 234 nights every night, massive lawlessness in Cincinnati. Windows broken out attempted firebombings. Ah, cop shot in the head. And it really frost me a little bit that that one thug that took a skateboard through the window of the Justice Center. I understand He's not yet apprehended on watching Channel five live, and here's this thug walking up to the symbol of law enforcement, the Justice Center and taken a skateboard right through the windows. If he wants to break in, I wish you could have broken and stay there for a few years. And so even though I know life is good, but I can recall Tony Bender, another saying, Well, I'm going to get home by five or six o'clock, sewing. Watch the riots, and this went on and on and on in Cincinnati, not as bad as Louisville. Not as bad as Minneapolis. But many in the suburbs think it was pretty bad, and it's had a profound impact on Otr in downtown and so you do recall there were three or four nasty nights with thousands of acts of violence, correct. And just shooting through walls and doors are very difficult to do, and it is somewhat questionable to do because you don't know that person as a hostage. You don't know if they have Children with them. That's some tough stuff, and I don't know all the details of what went down in Louisville, but I think maybe that's some of what we might hear about is the did they return fire and know what it is. Violations. But you're saying in CPD if there's three officers with a warrant, and they and someone gets shot in the leg, they just don't open up. Fire, willing Millie and fire through doors and windows, You have to have a target correct. You absolutely have to have a target just like that. That night. I did not. I did not fire my weapon needed to the other officers on the scene at the guy who was trying to kill me. I did not fire my weapon, and eventually he have committing suicide. But there was no way we could clearly respond on do it safely because we just didn't know what was on the other side of that door again. Today at a hostage they would get mine wasn't a search alone and ah But I did not return fire. One lucky officers that sound through a long career without ever having to discharge my weapon. I feel for the entire Louisville community as they go through this by especially field for the officers. You are going to be trying to keep the city calm and safe. A CZ. These announcements come out like you said. It does seem like maybe there's a possibility that whatever is going to be charged isn't going to be to the satisfaction. No, those who are You are poised and ready, Tio. Demonstrate..

"Situation around the Celtics ton of questions on what happened to the so called genius explosive, Quite frankly, is approaching everybody's best coach. Launches from 20 and hits again Dr Buckets in the fourth quarter four years ago. We were all Boston by now would be in a so this window of opportunity for Boston could be closing every minds me a lot of process until influence. You know, he's our could there be many young now you'll note you tell Mark you know, I do know. Okay, So let's go. Let's go to Game three of this series. That'll be tomorrow night. Eight. Eastern ESPN. It's a beautiful Friday morning. If you're watching this this morning, he on ESPN News looking out of the East River where at the South Street Seaport, Keyshawn J. Will. And Zubin Jay was out there last night in N Ba countdown to see the Heat rally from 17 down to take a tuo. Siri's lied So he'll be back with us on Monday morning. Getting some well deserved rest. We're coming to you live from above the Heineken River duct. Pier 17. You want to get something off your chest here? Not just going to say you know our producers or inner ear during a break and let us know that somebody on one of the social media outlets were not happy with us because we got the parade route in Philadelphia. Wrong. We're not from the area, so we only know a few streets. So if we got it wrong, we apologize. Okay, don't worry, because no parades air going down their streets anytime soon. After what I've seen from the sixties, they don't have to worry about broad street or the main line or many younger that none of the street and have to worry about that at all, but they needed. What they need to do is hire a new head coach and figure out what happened. We'll see. Keep listening. We love you done blended firmly in cheek were presented by progressive insurance. And if it means anything, this is completely random. This studio is actually located on South Street. By the way, so if there is something there for south three, we are Here in New York City, But before the New York City listeners yell at me, Yes, I know it's the Canyon of heroes will see if the Yankees Khun do it because he's jet certainly aren't going to give it to us. We've got Bart Scott former jet coming up. It's 7:15 A.m. eastern. We'll talk football with him What we saw from Baker and burrow last night. I want to talk to you about what you've seen from the Miami heat here. I want you to listen to this from Tim Legler. He was on the Scott Van Pelt after the game on SportsCenter last night that saying Jimmy Butler, we've all been praising him for everything that he's done changing the Culture. All of that the alignment with Riley the grit all of that, But But Legler is most impressed with our former N ba player and current ESPN NBN analyst is the stat stuffer is not there for Jimmy Butler. There won't always be there. But all the intangible certainly are. He's reading the game and as long as his work with other guys, he really doesn't care about his numbers that actually what exactly, and he's still playing hard at the other end, and then he knows I'm going to have a moment here. We're going to need me and he had huge defensive plays late. This game that led to some offense for him as well. Had a big take in a one on one situation against him, So he knows he can go to that. Well when he needs to, which is a very rare thing for guy's toe have 56 shots like he had tonight. I think seven shots going into the fourth quarter most stars, you know, maybe the rhythm is not there tonight. If you do that. You seem to be the case with Jimmy Butler. And yet everybody else is picking up the slack. And you just see how connected they are. Man. This team really likes playing with playing together. Tomorrow night. Game three. It will be on ESPN in prime time to see if the heat Khun Go up 30 when they've been up to Oh, they've never lost a playoff series. That's all fine and good against the Boston Celtics. But key if you're saying they have been to run up against the law. Bron. James Anthony Davis had Los Angeles Lakers doing all the little things ain't gonna be a big thing. No, it really the problem with that is, you know Jimmy score 14 points last night. Doing the little things is great. Like you said against the Celtics. 14 points against the Lakers. It's not gonna get it done when you got to combine. Let's just give it a combine A D LeBron James anywhere from 53 to 60 points plus Again. You're going to get that from these two guys. And then when you add rob playoff Rondo and mix it now we got a three headed monster. You don't have that luxury in Miami. I mean, it is just what it is. And Jimmy Butler hasn't seen in these playoffs. A LeBron James at the end of games. He just hasn't seen Who has he seen? That's LeBron James. At the end of games. There's no LeBron so nobody are even remotely close to that. Lock him up. Diem up one possession. It's so you know, in all due respect, Jimmy Jimmy doing a terrific job like you said all the grit that the culture changed and people following his lead. This is the great story about where Jimmy has come from, and his stops in to arrive in Miami and get them on the brink of two games away from Seeing the Lakers in the NBA finals even on the Lakers haven't played yet. I still feel like they're going, so it is just it's not enough is just not going to be enough. He's gonna have to do a lot more scoring. Along with everything else, and if he hasn't done it yet,.

"Let's go to the phones 617 to 5 for 10 30 Triple 9 to 1930. Let's start it off with Jeffrey in wealthy and Jeffrey next on, Nightside going ahead. Yes. Uh, I didn't vote for Donald Trump. But I think he's doing the right thing. In this case in line with his Presidential oath to insure domestic tranquility. That's part of the constitution. He is more well so wage to uphold the constitution of the United States, whose preamble says In order to ensure domestic tranquility and this is what this intervention is floor. It's not to create violence. It's to quell it. This isn't the Chicago police riot of 1968. Okay. This is something else so well, well said, And you're right. That that was a Chicago police riot in 1968 on this. This is just a fancy in this country right now and The focus is the left figures. Okay, it doesn't matter. I think that the progressive left would like to see Donald Trump reelected because that would give them something to rise up against. And this, ironically, is going to help Donald Trump because you're cynical about that. But correct. Yeah, I believe so. A lot of people don't know that can't be true. But can you imagine people who are somewhere in the middle on defense? Politically and they're looking at this in the same, You know, what's this all about? This is That this is bad. This is very this is bad for America. Bad for for our form of government and let me tell you this Aga are our country could fall as well. Believe me this This. This is you know is there's no action taken here? I just don't understand this Mayor, can you? Can you give me any insight? You know, I can't understand it either. I think he's Buckling you. Ah, he just hates trump. And you know to some extent he's ruffling some of his constituency. That almost almost it would serve. Trump should say, Hey, you caused the problem. You deal with it. We're out of here. I mean, that's I would be tempted to do that. But that probably is not the right thing to do. So, you know, I don't think so. Thanks, Jeff. Appreciate your call is always okay. Thank you, Everybody. Good night, 617 to 5 for 10. 30 Triple 89 to 1930 Matters in Quincy. Hey, Matt. Welcome next on night side. They did a lot. You're always talking about all this guy. She went to Harvard Law School. Excuse genius. Well, this guy went to Harvard two and he's an idiot. So the only barometer of intelligence Oh, this guy went to that school. She was meeting. Well, let me ask you. I have no idea where did well do undergrad there to do Law school, He went to Stanford undergrad anyone Tio Colombia and then Harvard for Master's degrees. My thing is the guy's an idiot. And I mean I think you know me. I hate from But I know that I mean, I know that and by the way, by the way, you have always articulated a reason. You know, you're not someone who hates him because you hate him. You hate him because you have your set of beliefs and why you feel he's not a good president. And I respect your point of view. You know that. You've got to give the guy credit when he does stuff right? And I mean this. He's doing this right. And I love I hope he goes in the Chicago too. I hope he does all that because you know no one's actually done. What people talk about, You know, Trump, literally. He literally does what he's been promising. He's building the wall. The Democrats gave him the wall, he says he's one of the stops. All these killings and he's actually doing it. And I mean, you gotta you gotta give the guy credit. He he doesn't care what anyone said you were going to do what he wants to do. Ah, you know, and You gotta have some kind. Some kind of respect for the guy. I mean, Honestly, it's ah, he doesn't really. I mean, he kind of turned into a little bit too much of a politician, but he kind of had to in order to get a pass. So you kind of really had a turn. Super hard Republican in this time needs to pass things, but he's really not. He's going in there doing what he needs to do. I don't think he even cares if you was Israeli. But this is something he promised he was going to do. If anyone was paying attention. He was going to go into these places, and I don't think I saw this this stuff going on, But I mean again. I hate the guy, but he's doing what he's doing You no credit here is the thing that that's really interesting. Okay tonight in Chicago. There was a awake for some kid who had been killed in a shooting on the south side of Chicago. And at the rate at the wake. I'm just picking this up, you know, on some of the cable network news During the break, 17 people were shot. 17 people shall awake at the week at the wake. That's unbelievable. I have even heard that till now no one said. It's a story that's just breaking. I mean, literally breaking. You'll hear about it tomorrow. This this on on a weekend on that's that's a normal Friday night or Saturday night in Chicago. There were apparently 56 What I heard 56. I think one of the police officials said 56 shots were fired. 17 people wounded. Unbelievable. That's just sick. It's sick, but it's been going on there for years for years in Chicago, Can you imagine if you Drew the short straw and were born as a poor kid in Chicago. You know to Ah to ah, a single mom or to a to a poor family. You had nothing to do with being born in Chicago. You were born in on the south side of Chicago, and it's alive. It's a combat zone. I've been an advocate for just I said this before, and obviously ah is the second Amendment. But the only way you're gonna fix this stuff is if you go in there and take people's guns, you gotta go around in these dangerous places. And I think from doing everything short of that, really, But that's what you actually have to do to stop it. He had to sit back and watch it happen. You gotta break some laws and get the stuff done. You know what it is that I got a question for you. Okay? I expect an honest answer from you because you were always giving honest answers. Let's assume That either the Trump Administration or the Tooth Fairy was able to go into Chicago tonight. And take every gun off the streets of Chicago. How long would it take in your mind for the guns to be resupplied in that city? How many.

Think how much money you would save if you didn't have spend money on what we call health care. Insurance alone. It's not insurance. Really. It's crazy. What it is now, but think of the money is safe. What would you do with all that money? What would you do if you're healthy, But you won't be able to work more hours. If you had more energy. If your love life improved if you're breathing improved if you weren't so concerned about taking a medication of missing you medications and what would happen if you did. What we do in our office is we try to get to the cause of the problems, not just treat the symptoms. Sometimes we can. Sometimes we can't. But the beauty of it is this is now a healthcare plan. Most people don't have a plan have insurance, but they don't have a plan. Baldness. How's.
