"I want to start off by thanking you, sir Elton John, for always being my theme for Saturday Night show here since we began. Thank you, sir. Elton and I want to thank Bruce Morrow for bringing me along with John Catsimatidis, who owns the station and making this a Glorious part of my day in my life my week. I've enjoyed every single moment of this, and, uh Bruce, you continue to put on great shows I learned every time I listen to you and not only that, but I'm entertained every single time. I hope I can fill the slippers that you leave behind for me to wear After you go to bed and you go home after your incredible four hours. I love you so much. Brucie and I have to share this with him with cousin Brucie. And with everybody listening So many of you out there. You You love knowing the backgrounds of how records are made you love how writers write the songs. It seems in the mail that I get that that's a very major part. Of the success of our show. And I'm privileged to be able to share 60 years with you. And one of the things I want to do tonight is clear up a little bit of a legendary thing that shouldn't only belong to one building. In New York City, and that building is called the Brill Building and anybody who's ever read anything about recording artists. Or or if songwriters they always refer to the Brill Building, and the Brill Building is a treasured Place for sure. Lieber and Stoller, the fathers of rock and Roll who wrote You Ain't Nothing but a hound dog for Elvis. And everything in there after for the drifters and the coasters, et cetera. They were in that building. And, of course, uh, Ellie Greenwich, and Jeff Barry wrote So many hit records. They were in that building as well. And so people forget that across the street. Was a building that was addressed simply as 16 50 Broadway, and maybe that's why it never had the magic behind it. Because you didn't have a name like the Brill Building. But if you went to 51st Street Between seventh and Broadway. And you look down the street to the Brill Building on 48th Street in New York. Uh, not 48th and 49th on on Broadway. That's how close these two buildings were. The Brill Building was known as Tin Pan Alley Building the building the older writers, the older guys that real Broadway shows etcetera came out of except for urban Berlin. Irving Berlin was in the building that were going to pay tribute tonight. I'm musical dream building. Hit central building where people came out of there. That was incredible. And this whole show. I'm going to play tonight All of the people or the songwriters and the songs that came out of 16 50 Broadway If you're ever in the city or you live in New York City. Just walk up to the front of that building because it's legendary. It had given us the music of America truly. So I'm gonna start tonight with a young guy who started in that building. It was on a record company called Bang Records. And he recorded this incredible hit to begin an unbelievable career. Walking out of the building of 16 50 Broadway was a young singer songwriter by the name of Neil Diamond. Cherry Cherry came out of that building as well as Neil. Here you go..

We had all the NASCAR news hoax race hoax. And now we had this, You know Atlanta white supremacist Trump Trump China virus hoax regarding agents. It's not true folks and the media ignored a major story that Lydia brought up and I talked about it earlier in the show, which is that these two teenagers, they targeted an Asian uber driver. Hijack toots a car, Jack, this guy they used a stun gun on him. Some dude was actually videotaping the whole thing. Instead of helping the guy by the way, and you hear the Asian man at the beginning say all these people are thieves. These people are thieves. Then you hear the car take off smash into Ah, pole or something. He's actually between the door and his car is hanging on because the girl pushed him aside. And that's when he gets smushed in the door crushes him. Then it goes around the corner and his body goes. They crashed. His body goes flying. And you hear the girl at the end, say my phone is inside. Then they're apprehended by National Guard in Washington, D C. But the media never reported. This video is out there. They never reported on it in the wake of the anti Asian violence frenzy that we're going through. Listen to what it's out of all that. What's going on?.

"I think he made whether this I just don't think And he was very well run for 1/4 term. Really fascinating. It is fascinating. It is. But even with the nursing home deaths, body somebody by the way, you can't just say he's a bum. Don't elected, you gotta You gotta have somebody who can win if you want to defeat him in an election thinking Is. I think it's losing momentum. I don't think it's gaining momentum. I thinks, and actually the Legislature state of sending people very smart people there waiting there listening there doing nothing because they watched Joe Biden do nothing during the entire campaign, and it's now president of the United States. Yeah, but just scary in itself. But even with the nursing home deaths, they the guy, right? Yeah, That's the big story. I mean, if you want to get angry at Mario Cuomo, I mean, excuse me, Andrew Cuomo. You get you get you get mad about that, Janice Dean hasn't right. His performance was disgraceful Is this political people died? And that to me into is the capital soon. Yeah, Joe, Before we let you go Joe Biden at the press conference. Oh, my goodness. Gracious. I mean, you can't make it if we had fun with it, but I don't want to make fun because now it's almost not funny anymore, Joe. It's like I feel bad. It's like Elder abuse. Who Who's Who's doing all this? Who's running the show you you, you insinuated. Was probably Barack Obama. Help me out here, Joe did Jenna because, you know, best buy. Yeah, I think it will buy and I don't think it's Barack Obama that I'm insecure people. This is Joe Biden. She's Edith Wilson. She's Woodrow Wilson's life and again, you know, Look, Joe is a very seriously physically compromised person. Oh, yeah. Watch that press conference really holds, you know, like a napkin. And the bottom line is he's not up to the job. They're carefully creating situations for him to go into doing appearance and then get out of the way because he has limitations on his physical ability to function. And his ability to ratios in eight and so the bottom line is He could do this as long as the practice tolerated and the press is tolerated because he's their guy, they'll they got him elected. They tried to destroy Donald Trump, and they want And they don't see any reason to tear down Joe Biden and tell the truth about his dysfunction. So this is going to continue and again. This is just like Cuomo's. For as I'm concerned, the press Love these two guys. The press are Democrats, their propaganda there broadsheet artists. They don't care. There's very, very little concern for the state of the government. This is what did you see that conference some of the dumbest stupidest onto his questions I've ever seen Aspect that woman from NPR. Whatever her name is asked that question, But I mean, it's just it just makes you wanna gag to watch. This is not the press as well as we knew it. These are not journalists. Yeah, and I was thinking I was thinking about that earlier. I was talking about Walter Cronkite back in the day when news was news, Joe, Remember those days? Eric Severeid Roger Mudd, you know Back in the day. Oh, my goodness. Gracious. I don't know where we are now. And what's gonna happen with this before we let you go? I keep saying that joke cause I could talk to you for a Knauer over here this morning. We way appreciate your time. And I'm sorry to be a pain in the neck with Derek solving the murder. That's murder trial starts today in the wake of the death of George Floyd. How does that end up DEA figure, Joe? That's a very difficult case, because I just don't think jurors can be fair in this situation. I know we went through this jury selection process. Well, they also they could be fair except for that dude that had already been picked. Remember, there were two jurors who are picked and we're waiting to go to trial. And all of a sudden they had the design. They were taken down by the judge after they heard about $27 million civil settlement with the family because they said after that, they assumed he was guilty. Now, do you think And all those other jurors didn't have that chain thought this guy didn't forget Derek show over in as a defendant. Just think of the citizen. He can't get a fair trial in Minneapolis. Every one of those jurors knows that if they acquit him, their homes are going to be demonstrated at their names. You're going to get out there going to be threatened. Physically, there is no way You can get a fair trial in Minneapolis and the fact that it is being kept there. For the vanity of the judges and the lawyers and the community is nonsensical. This reminds me the Sam Sheppard case that led to the famous Supreme Court case. About publicity and changes of venue. This this case should not be in Minneapolis. It's not even close, and so if he's convicted Maybe convicted. You may not. You never know since people maybe, but I think the likelihood is that the jurors were going to be frightened not to convict him because of the repercussions for them. That's what creates the unfairness because it's really a shame that should be anywhere in Minnesota. But Minneapolis Joe diGenova breaking it down for us, Joe. Thanks so much love to Victoria and hopefully see out there soon enough men get through this. Yes, sir. Thank you, sir Jody General, former former United States attorney for the District of Columbia. And appointed by President Reagan, which is kind of cool. You know, you get the President Reagan one of my heroes, So that's that's always exciting.
