"Sinisa, an owner's manual for proper Use. Uh oh. The Armstrong and Getty show. So do you remember when Rolling Stone put out their list of the 500 greatest songs of all time? 2004. They put it out 17 years ago. I can't believe it was that long ago because I remember Us talking about it on the air and going through the list, Uh, you know, and discussing it and all that sort of stuff and probably even took calls way back then on the whole thing, But that was 17 years ago. Well, they put out a new list of the 500 greatest songs of all time, And they changed. A lot of it, like a third of the list is different. Including a third of the top 100, So it's much different list. But you got to add new stuff, obviously to keep people interested, But I'm not really interested in much of the new stuff, because it's I imagine it's mostly pop music. Um, but we can go look like through like the top 20 or top 10 at some point, See what you think? Yeah, it's kind of fun. I made up a song. You want to hear it? Sure. Okay. It's a new Facebook jingle. If you need a slave Facebook want a murderer? A Navy Facebook. Oh, boy. Want to find a friend? Hire a clown slaughtering entire African town. It's Facebook. Okay, so people say that our voices are hard to tell apart. That was G e t t y g T T Y Jack Armstrong had a wide eyed look during the whole thing obviously did not approve. Here's the story and I can't decide how much to demonize Facebook for this, Um, because I'm a demonize er, you know that. So Facebook doesn't care much about this sort of thing and doesn't have lawyers release so Yeah, I wouldn't worry about it. Of Mark. Yeah, No kidding. Wall Street Journal is on this story. They mentioned the lead the story with a former cop who's who tuned turned into a Facebook investigator. He posted an all staff memo on some of the things that they had discovered in looking into the way Facebook is used. The biggest one is a Mexican drug cartel was using Facebook to recruit, train and pay Hitman. Scores of internal Facebook documents reviewed reviewed by The Wall Street Journal show employees raising alarms about how it's platforms are used in some developing countries where it's user base is already huge and expanding. And they also show that the company frequently found out about this stuff and did very little or nothing at all. For instance, employees flagged that human traffickers in the Middle East used the site to lure women into abusive employment situations in which they were treated like slaves and or forced to perform sex work and became slaves. They warned that armed groups in Ethiopia used the site to incite violence against ethnic minorities. They send alerts to their bosses on organ selling pornography and government action against political dissent. According to the documents all happening on Facebook. The problem is go ahead. Just throw pornography in with slaves and organ selling, like there at the same level. I mean, I'm Not a fan of pornography flying around too easily. But it ain't slavery and harvesting organs nor hiring and paying hitmen in some countries where Facebook operates as few or no people who speak the dialects needed to identify dangerous or criminal uses of the platform. Yeah, we've all heard about, um The people Facebook hires to go over all these different posts and sites and stuff like that. And how it just like the worst job on Earth. Yeah, whole bunch of child porn and then violent stuff and everything like that animal abuse and everything, And you're supposed to look at all these videos and flags, and it makes people actually crazy. Oh, yeah. I've read it harrowing article about that just a couple of weeks ago, But that's if you speak the language and can understand what the hell is even going on. Oh, my God. Yeah. How How are you going to do it in a country where you don't have people who speak that particular language? Now Facebook will tell you, they take down offending posts, but they haven't fixed the system that allowed offenders to repeat the bad behavior, instead writes The Wall Street Journal. Priority is given to retaining users helping business partners and at times placating authoritarian governments who support Facebook sometimes needs to operate within their borders. So, uh, boy, that's just crazy. How does that jingle go again? I had probably best left to slave Facebook. There you go. Well on a murderer, A navy Facebook boy. Want to find a friend. Hire a clown slaughtering entire African town. It's Facebook. That's right. Jumped in to make it clear that that was getting a non Jack Armstrong should go viral. That was Michelangelo singing that song, Our board operator, Michael, We'll be entering Community college today. Of boy. So Nicki Minaj is cousins. Friends. Testicle is still in the news. Believe it or not. Really? Yeah. Just the one or both of them. I don't know. They usually come in a pair in my like us. They work as a team Exactly my experience. I come in a pair Jimmy Kimmel's trying to get the alleged owner of the testicles on his show. Try to get to the bottom of this story. Get no doubt a good guest. I'd tune in for the first time in many, many years. Other news on the way If you miss an hour, go to Armstrong and getty dot com..

"Stone magazine. Put out their list of the 500 greatest songs of all time. They did that. Back in the early two. Well, they've revamped the list quite a bit, and we'll see if you agree with their top 10 or any of it now. Yeah, that's fine. Uh, plus, if you need a slave or somebody murdered log onto Facebook, what their stay with us for that what you're going to have her services or what's that under your going to have to get used to gender pronouns at work and plus the new U. S. Australian sub deal Has China hopping mad? And who gives us blank? So I've got a few people in my orbit that do the pronoun thing on their emails. I got to admit, I tend to think Here a bit of a nut. And it made me get a certain view of you If you do that. Like, you know, doesn't it's not disqualifying in my mind like to be a friend or of, uh, business partner or anything like that? No. Get back to the missing gala discussion. It's evidence. It's not proof. It makes me a little wary. Mm. Unless you're young young people. I realize it's a you know, you're all everybody all your teachers have told you to do that. So Why wouldn't you? But I wonder at what point it crosses over to where if you don't have your pronouns at the end of your email It's kind of a, uh I don't know if I want to do business with him. Right when it reaches critical mass on the other side. I get what you're saying. I wonder when that happens. I could see that happening in a couple of years. Well, I am going to go with really jokey. You know, Your Royal Highness, my prime program zone are your Royal Highness Uh, Your Highness Smileys. Then you will be a guy who doesn't take gender fluidity seriously, And you will correct from society. Fine. Do not use gendered language took Cool dress. Everyone count because, uh, yes. Yes, I, uh What was I going to have No forwarding address, either. Goodbye. Goodbye. Um This should be the biggest story in the country. "Free on. That's a curveball early. Fleetwood mac dreams is nine outkast's. Hey ya out the top ten. Hey as in there. Before elton john before i think there before the rolling stones. This is actually my favorite part of this list. What it is when you start looking at who which song. And then there's sort of book ended by what other artists are like. Outkast is just one tick better than the beach boys. God only knows okay. That's very interesting. Which is one tick better at number twelve stevie wonder superstition the rolling stones check in number thirteen with gimme shelter. That's their best song of all time. If i told you outcast would be in before the rolling stones no offense you'd be spread. I mean the the kinks waterloo. Sunset is fourteenth the fourteenth greatest song of all time. That is a like an insider's well respected indie rock's i've heard people write about waterloo sunset for years which is what makes this such a crock rolling stone list. The only thing that's actually shocking. Is that velvet underground. Hasn't had four songs already. Yeah this is such a rolling stones list beyond say with jay z. Crazy in love queen. Bohemian rhapsody now. Give you a couple of prince with purple rain. Eighteenth john lennon. Imagine robin dancing. On my own she they. I don't know robin. Does anybody know robin. I know robin. I don't know that song She's a swedish disco queen. Dan okay. he's had a couple of hits k. Dancing on my own. That came out in two thousand ten. Billie holiday's strange fruit. Twenty one all right. Go up a couple. More to twenty-five the ron ed's be my baby. David bowie heroes. David bowie's greatest song as heroes. We can be heroes but just one day like say this is one that really stands out me right. I'm gonna jump up the list a little bit more and this is what i just. I just don't believe that. Mia paper planes. Which is an awesome song sung that. I've really like a lot a great song. I just don't believe that that is a hair greater of a song touch better than elton. John tiny dancer. Somehow elton john tiny dancers forty seven and -ma- paper planes forty six. That just feels like sacrilegious. Somehow or something i was calling her mea the for the first half hour kanye west run away is in their joni mitchell. A case of you. It's a great song but this joni mitchell greatest song it should be springsteen's born to run is in here talking heads once-in-a-lifetime nothing. But a jiefang with dr dre gray song lord royals. Yeah i. I didn't need to see this list. Yeah pulling outcast. Has two songs in the top thirty nine songs of all time. The rolling stones have won. The beatles have one prince has one. Michael jackson has none. Who have none that accurate note while still taking shots at my One of my favorites in the top. Forty i don't see them but rolling stone. Famously hates led zeppelin. don't they. I think they gave him bad review. Every albums gotten a bad review. Yeah a little. Richard's in here. The white stripes seven nation army princeton. I would love to know the music inspiration of lot a lot of these younger artists who are in the top twenty five going. Wait really who they were influenced by otis redding his in here outcast b. o. b. hendrix finally slips in joy division love will tariffs apart. Wonder walls ninety five. I ninety five now too high or too. Low jackson is at forty four. Michael jackson checks in. He made it into the top fifty or canadian. "During the commercial break. We keep looking at this rolling stone list of the top five hundred songs of all time. I am going to get angry. I'm not investing in this i. I like the references. I like the The back story on some of these songs. I'm just not investing anytime or emotion. Inness paul. he's been trying to make me angry. I'm not gonna work. So if i told you that britney spears toxic is one spot ahead of led zeppelin whole lotta love on the list would say i'd say i'm happy for britney happy for her and you've seen them both equal amount of times in concert. I've seen both of them one time. I went to see britney spears by myself in los angeles. You have an educated opinion on. Yes yes. I do and saul zepplin in cincinnati better concert. While i'm gonna say britney spears yeah because the right answer like led. Zeppelin wasn't a great concert. As far as they didn't do anything. I mean it's yet robert plant usually in a belly shirt and jeans that were too tight and just like britney and in fact i think they could have come to think of it. Who wore it better. Robert might have worn better. Jimmy page would get on a double neck guitar. And he'd play a couple of solos. Then you'd have john bonham on drums playing the solo or two. That could last twenty minutes. So zeppelin wasn't a great pink. Floyd is as good a concert as i've been to visually because that's when they had the album animals and you had all of these balloons the like they were animals that were floating around You'd have a pig up there and you'll be it was just wild and you didn't really have that kind of you know stage performance back then you know the stones put on a great show. They were very theatrical. When i saw them the who. I didn't see him with keith. Moon so it was basically daltry would like sling the microphone up. And then catch it and then p. townsend would wail on the guitar and that was about it. Prince put on a great show. Bowie put on a great show as well. But i just remember going to the zeppelin. Show mike. that's it they're just gonna kind of. I love the music but there wasn't any real stage presence there other than robert plant's outfit. Yes hidden. yeah there was like what was that documentary. That led zeppelin released like a long time ago. And you can see now when you watch it like. It's just some spotlights in them standing there. Yeah it's almost like the strokes in a way like they just kind of get up there. Play their songs and they walk off. That's kinda what it seemed like led zeppelin did yes mclovin i. I hate to stand up for the beatles. But the beatles are a little slighted on this list. I tell against book world record said yesterday by the beatles the most covered song in the history of the world. How can that's nowhere to be found on here unless they put out the list. They just want reaction. Because if you put like four beatles songs in the top twenty and you put a couple stone songs in there you know. You're playing to a younger demo. Clearly playing to a younger demo. Yes you know. I think that rolling stone kind of admits that in the first line of the article because it says something. I'm not looking at it right now but it's something like seventeen years ago. We made this list and it was our most red thing ever of all time. So now we're doing it again. We're just updating it. That was seventeen years ago. They put that out the top five hundred songs. Yeah i think. I think it's at seventeen years. Yeah well you don't wanna put the beatles in there. I mean the beatles their influence is crazy now hell they impacted the the world music crazy it. I don't want to say i'm not. I'm not investing anytime or emotion in this. Yes it is kind of nice though to look at a list that the top twenty five isn't beatles. Stones dylan beatles stones dylan beatles. Stones who dylan dylan beatles. Stones jimi hendrix. It's kind of nice to see that. Though i know but then it kinda cuts your credibility when you come on royals by lorde not even the best lord song. That's the only song you know by. You know why you know that is because member. When i played it was hotel california and lord with royals and if you combine the two it's awesome it really is now hotel california not even in the top fifty but lord is good. Lord let's go. I'm not investing time or emotion. What mclovin unbelievable. All those bands. You mentioned led zeppelin pink. Floyd the eagles that they're not in there. I kind of like lord song yes tom. Petty doesn't make the list until the hundred sixty nine song. I'm gonna pick it rolling stones offices if they have one. You've been listening to some tom petty. I'll tell you about the challenging paulie. Made it seem like he just well. Maybe you just found tom petty. It's like hey. Have you ever heard tom. Petty's channel on sirius and i go. Yeah i just happened to be listening to the other. I i've been listening and they. He like he's breathless and then and george strait covers. One petty song wreck me. And i i. I've been listening to it. Golly he's good just jumped on the bandwagon. Two thousand eighteen. You might want to check out this petty fella. I know i had to break the news to him. That he's dead. Point won't be on concert really do you know he's he's not coming around here. No not oh okay. That's a fritzy around here for sunday night football. It'll be a great one. It'll be patrick. Mahomes what's up mahomes and the chiefs against a baltimore lamar jackson. We had chris collins worth on. He of course will be on the call with al michaels sunday night and i ask him what would he do. What would he say to lamar jackson if he were coaching him. One of the things. I'm gonna talk about during the broadcast. Is that lamar. I think when he has more space to work with Is even better. i think. Russell wilson russell wilson will drop eleven yards in into the backfield and when he steps that forces the angle of those defensive linemen to be much deep by were coaching. I would try to create as much space around him which would meet a much more vertical drop and deeper dropped and what he's doing right now. That's chris collins worth he'll be on the call and i wonder if you just go empty backfield with lamar jackson. And then they're therefore you can add another linemen if you want or you can have another wide receiver. Then you allow him more room to work with. That might be something. They try to do to kansas city. You could argue the last year. Super bowl was the greatest quarterback matchup in nfl. History brady versus mahomes tonight. Thursday night football daniel jones in taylor heineke tend booed joan daniel jones versus taylor heineke jones in the giants struggled in week. One and heineke filling in for ryan fitzpatrick in washington. Both players have the stage to themselves. Tonight when.

"Ten minutes long but as a masterpiece of music and that's the thing it can't just be the same thing over and over again for ten minutes like you gotta make it dynamic. It has to be like weather report suite by the grateful dead or terrapin station. I mean that song takes you on a journey. Absolately and i feel like they lost sight of that. Now they're just trying to make overly complicated overly long music. yeah and what. The latest album really showed me how their guitar player really is. I mean he is by far the weakest member of their bed for the bass player and drummer. They would be completely on remarkable right but the bass player and drummer are really good. And they hearing them and it's it's working. It's the pace but the busy all the songs need to be like half as long at least ten minutes and seventeen minutes. That's a big difference. That's true. But i mean the favorite of their long songs of mine would be ten thousand days and it just has this slow build up of tension until it explodes into it and then this gradual release. It's really really well done. You could tell. They spent a lot of time carefully. Crafting it you don't get sits on any of their new songs even though it took just as long for them to sit in studio right that it's kind of strange that they waited until this album to come on spotify like it was some kind of always making. The argument of our albums are meant to be listened to as a whole. You can't just listen to this on but you putting your songs on radio really. Entire albums are hole. So why were they not on spotify. I feel like that happens. A law with artists like they get really really popular like their music great and then finally they get really popular and they get rich and famous or whatever and then they're like we don't have to try as hard like we're tool people listen to us people by our albums like back in the day they had to like really try and create these masterpieces to make a name for themselves into really prove themselves. Now they're they've proven themselves and and the rich that's it yeah distressing. I saw tool in connecticut. And i read some reviews about it there before i went to see them. This was shortly after their new album and everyone was like no. It's not a greatest. Hits tour their touring on their new album. It's a new album tour. But when i actually got there and listen to the maybe four songs off. Their new album were being played. It was one hundred percent a greatest hits tour but all of these news outlets who had reviewed it were completely delusional about what they're witnessing like. I remember the latter alice tour and the ten thousand days where they did play every song from the album. Except for ticks and leeches. From what are you gonna get that with this new album in it. It was very clear that this was the. Hey you wanna relive those moments from two thousand five guys yeah. Mp and it worked but their new album definitely wouldn't recommend it. Does mary get in a car at the end of thunder roads. So gary that's your. That's the only homework. I give to someone normally so and it's very funny. I have a. I have a lady. That's gonna join me a couple of weeks and she emailed back like does it. Have to be a bruce long and this is my stick you know. I asked this question to everyone. So gary so i've heard thunder road many times before we got a good song. That's always still get radio play if you're listening to classic rock stations I know having looked at lists over the years that even beyond just being one of his best songs that it's thought of very very highly in terms of roxanne's general forever. Yeah and that is the way. It's written dave offenburg and i think tim cowlishaw were on the ticket. Saying born to run is his greatest song. And i can't remember which one said why think thunder road may have something to say about that. I mean you know so yeah yes absolutely it is considered an icon. But now having said that. Yeah i've never really paid attention to the lyrics. Lots and lots and lots of the music. That i listen to. I just listen. And i enjoy it or i don't right okay but i used to do what you're talking about with the The teacher i had a teacher in high school that we used to do that. every day somebody would bring in a song she would play it for the class and then we would all take notes while the song was going on we did have lyrics to go off of we take notes while the song's going on and we would all right about what song kind of meant and so we were. We were doing that kind of breakdown. When i was in high school so i know i know teachers that do that kind of thing and i always had a lot of fun doing it. I would love that. I done this with this song and unfortunately because my meeting ran long today generally speaking. I'm done around three thirty four. And then i'm online until maybe five or six In case anybody in reno needs anything. But i'm not really doing much and so i fully intended to break this thing down. Listen to it. Look at the swallowed listening and i only got to go through it twice. Okay so these are very rudimentary notes. But the first thing that i noticed. And i know i'll say i want to preface this by saying what i'm going to say i think seems pretty obvious but.

We pick our four favourite or the four that we think would be the best So the options were unholy. Take it off domino. And i just wanna and the interaction with this poll. I think broke all records from previous album reviews but of course fifty two percent of the voting went to unholy and then it was pretty much a three way tie give or take a percentage point here there between take it off domino and i just want you had about one or two point separating those three so they were all kind of fighting for for that the rest of but unholy was the clear. Run away with fifty two percent. The thing about this is tom. Yeah i get sometimes. We have to cut songs down and we'll be like okay. Maybe this fifth song should be in here. Yes out of these one or two of these last other songs picnic. Who had like three or four other songs in this list. Yes agreed Right because that's what made it difficult. Yeah, we have so so we are now going to the next hit on the record, and that's where we get Windows Cry for tonight, the first single off of purple rain. Sure engaged in the kids. Swear by it covers me. Me myself. I can picture so when this song came out, it was in July before the Earth was leading up to the July release of the movie or the General the July release of the movie. The arm came up before the movie came out. And they needed a song. The album was done. The movie was was written and everything and they needed. The director went to Prince and said, I need a song for like the middle of the movie for like a montage scene. And Prince came back the next day with two songs done, and this was one of them. Well, you and I have talked about how 60 minutes had that piece a couple of weeks ago. Maybe it was like a month ago that he has so much recorded music That's never even been release. Yeah, and and that his ability to crank out Incredible hits, but also the frequency that he put out music and just just to make make music in the to have this be one of those that come back a day later be an all time classic. It's pretty, Isn't that how like always how it always was like, didn't didn't Dolly Parton Jolene in like an hour or something like that, like, isn't that the story like the greats can do. Great things. That's why they're the best 1999 came out. The album came out and Prince wanted to do a movie and the keyboardist was like Do you think we can really do? He's like I don't know, but we're going to find out if we can. If we're big enough to do a movie. Obviously, they were big enough to do a movie. And they made the movie. This came out as a hit. It's ranked 52 on Rolling Stone's 500 greatest songs of all time. I mean, just in Altai. It's been covered by a bunch of people just an all time great song. Now I believe at the time. Elvis and the Beatles were the only two do have done what he accomplished with the number one album, the number one record and also the number one movie. All in the same week, It was the Beatles, Elvis and then Prince when doves cry was released off of purple rain. Yes, I think Is there a genuine version of this yet genuine covered it. Pony genuine. Oh, yeah. No, I know. I know anyone, you know? Funny. I'm well familiar with pony. You're well versed in the Tony world in many late nights in different bars around Chicago, and I'll see here, so I was right. Eric Ostrovsky chimes in and says Dolly Parton wrote Jolene and I will always love you in the same day, Man. That's a day. That's a long day. That's the day. No, I know it's not her, uh, It's not her, but it's the closest thing I'm going to get the same prince live, I guess because I can't see him live anymore. You are a concert buff. You are the music guy. I am not. I will always hold this over you. I've got to see Prince at the Super Bowl. Okay, That doesn't really It was fantastic. Yeah, Yeah. They're Super Bowl to be there. If I would have gone to see Prince the only time that I was able to see Prince I might not be working here because I had tickets from someone who couldn't go And then, like I have an extra ticket and I would have had I couldn't find anyone to work for me. "It's like he took great balls of fire and just made it me and Bobby McGee at a slower tempo. Janis Joplin recorded this song for inclusion on her Pearl album. She recorded it just a few days before she died in October of 70. Kristofferson had sung the song for her and singer Bob Neuwirth taught it to her. Kristofferson did not know she had actually recorded it until after her death. The first time he heard her recording of it was the day after she died. Her version would top the charts to become her only number one single and in 2000 and four. Her version of the song was ranked number 1 48 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 greatest songs of all time. And don McLean Song American Pie, He met a girl who sang the Blues. "61. It is 10 before six. Something from the Bob Surat record collection this morning. You know, it has to be Bob Dylan today. He's 80 today in that crazy Wow. Yeah. The big Gato McCartney, I think is 80 next month. Anyway. This song was released in January of 64 on an album. It came out as a single in March of 1965. The Times. They are a Changin written by Bob Dylan and releases the title track of his album of the same name. He wrote the song. As a deliberate attempt to create an anthem of challenge and change for the time. Influenced by Irish and Scottish ballads. The song was ranked number 59 Rolling Stones 2004 list of the 500 greatest songs. Of all time. That times they are a changing that are in the song title is And archaic. Prefix that was used in a lot of old British songs like Hunting. We will go once of 18th and 19th century influences on that Bob Dylan recalled writing the song. As a deliberate attempt to create an anthem of change for the moment. He told an interviewer. This was definitely a song with the purpose. It was influenced, of course, by the Irish and Scottish ballads. Come all you bold highway men and come all ye, tender hearted maidens. I wanted to write a big song with short, concise verses. Piled up on each other in a hypnotic way. The civil rights movement and the folk music movement were pretty close for a while and allied together at that time, and this seems to be what the people want to hear.

"Slavery none, but ourselves can free our minds is actually a quote from Marcus Garvey a speech. He did in nineteen thirty-seven actually in Nova Scotia of all places, so I didn't know long before this research, you know, I've heard references but you know, I didn't know the exact speech know that stuff. So that was cool written in 1979 and according to Rita thought it was written after he was already diagnosed with cancer. So, you know, he had his own mortality on his mind, you know, so yeah man, this is my first choice the first on the list did this make your list? Yeah. This is first on my list as well. Okay? Yeah, this is that one that you know. Just the lyrics for me. Obviously. It's the iconic guitar solo that as soon as you hear it, you know what it is and like, you know, your mood can just change the beginning of that guitar solo when Bob starts playing so he's talking about. Yeah, we've come through slavery and all these trials and tribulations, but we still here how long shall I fill our profits while we stand aside and look so that piece that you just mentioned right there about him already being diagnosed, you know, I mean, that's that's it right there because as you know, many people believed a Bob was killed and so in nine people believe that Bob is one of our greatest profits as well. So yeah, man, it's very deep. Yeah and Juice this song for me. I mean if you're a black person throughout the diaspora this song it has to touch you. You know what I'm saying? Like, it's no doubt about it. Like, you know, it makes you dead. No kind of connect with your with your Blackness, you know, yeah, man, definitely I huge song and you know, just like in terms of my sound system reference home. I had like why the biggest forwards of my career from this song, you know, I don't know if you remember that audio it was one of the one night stands duplex where we open this set with like a acapella of Boyz II Men the wait till the Water Runs Dry word and then you know immediately after that, you know, this guitar solo start playing on Redemption Song and I mean, they started beating down the wall and and on the DJ booth so often skipped all the way down and I just let it you know, catch it back right where it continued from and went down to the chorus with the whole crowd singing out like super loud off. It was like yo Goosebumps at that moment. Yo super emotional moment. Yeah, man. I mean that sounds very cinematic. You know, it's you know playing with people's emotions wage Boyz II Men into Bob, you know and speaking about this song some more, you know, there are comparisons to actually to Bob Dylan on this track because I don't know I haven't listened to a lot of Bob Dylan in my life, but apparently, you know, he's considered one of America's best writers in terms of folk songs another interesting tidbit in 2014 Rolling Stone. They made a list of the 500 Greatest Songs of all time. And this song actually came in at number 66. So Rolling Stone, you know, bestowed the top 100 placement, you know of this song of all the greatest songs of all time. I you know, I think that's official that you know, we both we both off. At the same one. So let's continue. Yeah man, it's your turn. Okay. Well no I did that was mine as well. So I just went okay fine sure off. I won't be a stickler for rules or anything. Come on, man. Let's not turn this into. You know, I'm saying Ashanti versus Keyshia Cole here. I mean I get the raccoons I didn't watch it. But you know, yeah, so my next song is actually Waiting in Vain. Okay, I'm saying yeah, I don't I don't have much to say about this song except. It's just a well-crafted, you know, love song talking about the potential of unrequited love mean don't want to be a you know, a phone in the modern-day parlance. You know, I'm saying it was released in nineteen seventy-seven on The Exodus album loved the lyrics love the vibe off. You know the way how it starts the instrumentation. It's on the level of Marvin Gaye in my opinion. You know, I'm saying it's like a motel and type thing to me. Yeah. I've been home this make a list or not know this one did not make my list. However, I feel like it could have because it's one of the Bob Marley songs that I just absolutely love ya man. It's an immediate Vibe. It sets a mood like immediately. You know, I love like all the covers. I mean, I don't care who you are you sing this song and I'm going to be I'm going to be rocking. Yeah, man. Yeah. Yep. It's almost it's it's almost a perfect. Ballad. Yeah, man, so, all right. So what I have for my next one is them belly full but we hungry. Okay, cool. Yeah man, so this is Bob up front with the I threes backing him harmonies. You know, I'm saying song was actually written off. By Leon kajal Kajol Kajol. I don't know and Carlton Barrett. So, you know again because to the Barrett family rest in peace to Uncle Carly thought we had his nephew Aston Barrett Jr. On the show two weeks ago. Please refer to that episode again lots and lots of History lots of knowledge wisdom generation shared in that conversation with mister Barrett, but yeah them belly full but we hungry I loved how to I three s perform on it. You know what I mean? If you're familiar, they don't come out like 9 9 and now you know and and it just like freaking it with that with that and then the way the band is playing there's a song video official music video with the live performance definitely reference that check that out. If you haven't, you know, Bob is talking about being poor and being in.

"My thoughts on that song are it's an illusion to Mary and Joseph in the Bible. If you recall, Jesus was from Nazareth, when Mary and Joseph went to Bethlehem, where Jesus was born, this is going on. There was no place for them to stay. There was no room in the inn off activated of having to stay in a stable, So I believe that's what that portion of that song Is referring to, But that's the way backward because the song starts I pulled into Nazareth. Where is that family left Nazareth. It would have been pulled into Bethlehem s. Oh, no, I don't think that's I think you're finding things there. Saul makes no sense to me anyway. Who's Fanny? How was the load be taken off of her and put on the Why And why. If you're coming into a town feeling about half past dead, would you be in the mood? Take on anybody's troubles. It's a weird thing. I'm coming to town. I need a place to stay. He asked. A guy goes now I can't help you and then take a load off Fanny way. Yes, yes, that it was number one on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest songs of all time number one. 41 you had your fun fact. They're well, Thank you. It's the 41st house. You okay? That's our call. So I have something from my record collection and let me tell you this. This is one. You gotta crank up. You gotta turn it way up. I know it's early. This a waking up for sure. You've heard the stories about Phil Specter, who passed away over the weekend at 81. He was a brilliant record producer and the insane guy. No question about it. And in addition to Those early hits he produced with his famous wall of sound like he's a rebel and be my baby and to do run run, he worked with John Lennon and the Beatles. He Did production work on the Let it be album. He also added strings and acquired to the long and winding road of a Paul Didn't really like all of that. I've always been a fan of that. I like all that big wall of sound. Specter also Produced All things must pass for George Harrison and the John Lennon. Imagine album and you know what he used to do. He used to mix the music and then listen to it in the studio on a little bitty speaker. Because he knew that's the way the kids were hearing the music on transistor radios, and he made these rock operas and my favorite Phil Specter production. Is the song we're gonna play for you here this morning. A lot of people think this is the greatest rock and roll record ever. Rolling Stone put it on their list of the 500 greatest songs of all time.
