"You're saying clean, dry, was my body and hair, though I'm a brand new Gucci underwear. You know what I'm saying? Did you have Gucci underwear at that point? Did he make a challenge? You have to fake it or just pretend. Throughout hip hop's 50 years Style has been a big deal. Slick Rick style included an eye patch. The result of a childhood injury and plenty of jewelry. So this is an old watch, but you throw this on it, it's a problem. Rappers didn't just look cool. They rapped about how cool they looked. And that helped
Regan Bozman of Lattice Capital Shares His Thoughts on Crypto
"First up is a Twitter thread by investor Regan bosman who's at lattice. And I thought it was valuable in that it provides a very different point of view of some of the bullishness you're seeing that Regan thinks might be a little suspect. Read and writes, the current popular narrative pushed by crypto thought leaders in VCs is that builders are continuing unabated. Bears are for building, teams don't care about token prices, et cetera, et cetera. This is utter bullshit, and we'd all be better off if we were more honest. Let's talk about why this view is wrong, why it matters that it's wrong and where are the bright spots? Now there is some truth to the narrative that the industry is in a better place than token prices suggest. Developer activity continues to grow, and the industry is clearly on much more solid footing than it was during the 2018 to 2020 bear market. I'll talk our book because I know it best. The majority of our portfolio is well capitalized and excited about the future. But in the last 6 months, we've had really talented teams shut down, plan to leave crypto, piecemeal M and a, or just struggle to find product market fit. It's possible that we're just bad investors in every other VC fund is sitting on a gold mine. But I've seen data that we're at least average and I'm very confident that most funds are in the same boat. I bet that zero seed crypto VC funds have 50% plus product market fit in portfolio. It's really hard to build in crypto right now. If you're selling into web three companies, your target market has shrunk meaningfully. If you're selling outside of crypto, good luck. Last year our industry put cement shoes on most of its users and kicked them off a dock. I spent a lot of time with a bunch of smart investors over the last month, and my main takeaway is that no one knows anything. I have yet to hear a succinct explanation for how we get out of these doldrums.
The Tragedy of Lebanon's Currency Devaluation
"All right Friends, well, if you have been on Bitcoin Twitter this week, you've probably seen some tweet like this hyper viral message from Leia halpern. She writes, Lebanon Central Bank has announced it will devalue its currency by 90% as of tomorrow. Imagine waking up one day in your life savings are gone. Absolutely criminal. Now on the surface this is a totally understandable take, but in many ways what happened this week was not the trigger event, but instead. The culmination of years of monetary and economic horror for the people of Lebanon, so today we're going to try to give all that a bit more context and this is a story I've been following almost as long as this podcast has been around. In April 2020, I released an episode called when currencies fail, a primer on the crisis in Lebanon. At that time, part of why Lebanon had exploded into consciousness for the citizens of Bitcoin Twitter were provocative headlines saying that Bitcoin was trading at 15,000 U.S. dollars per Bitcoin in Lebanon. That was more than twice the $7000 price it had in U.S. markets. Now when one poked and prodded, this was the classic issue of the difference between the official and the black market exchange rate. In other words, Bitcoin wasn't trading at a 200% premium. The black market for Lebanese lira, which are also known as Lebanese pounds, instead valued the pound at only 50% of what the official exchange rate did. Thus the two X premium if you priced Bitcoin in the official exchange rate.

"There's been a large train derailment near the Ohio Pennsylvania border, I'm Lisa dwyer. A 50 car train derailment Friday night sparked a large fire and prompted an evacuation order in east Palestine and Ohio village near the Pennsylvania state line, billows of smoke appeared bright orange, reflecting the glow from the flames below, Norfolk, southern says the train was loaded with a variety of freight, firefighters from three states responded, but freezing temperatures in the single digits complicated the response as trucks pumping the water froze
US tells owners to park old Hondas until air bags are fixed
"Honda and the U.S. government are warning owners of some older vehicles about dangerous airbag inflators that need to be replaced. The national highway traffic safety administration has issued a do not drive advisory for 2001 through 2003 vehicles with takata inflators that could explode. The safety agency says the so called alpha inflators have a 50% chance of exploding in a crash. If that happens, the inflators can shoot shrapnel toward a driver's face that can cause death or serious injury, since 2009, the exploding airbags have killed at least 33 people worldwide, including 24 in the United States. I'm Mike Hempen.
A surprising burst of US hiring in January: 517,000 jobs
"The president says he's got proof that his economic plan is working. Not only were 517,000 jobs added last month, President Biden says some 12 million have been created since he took office. That's the strongest two years of job growth in history, by a long shot. And he asked as jobs continue to go up inflation is slowly coming down. Inflation is now falling for 6 straight months. Gas prices are down more than a dollar 50 a gallon since their peak, food inflation is falling as well. And inflation is coming down, take home pay for workers is going up. It's all positive news to talk about during next week's State of the Union. The State of the Union and the state of our economy is strong. I'm Shelley Adler.
Antetokounmpo scores 54 points, Bucks beat Clippers 106-105
"It's the third time since the first of the year that bucks Ford John has done it a couple has put up 50 or more points. He had 54 to lead the bucks to a one O 6 one O 5 win over the clippers. It's insane. Crazy journey. Now I finish a game that's got 50. I'm like, we'll just insane. The box trailed most of the night by a big margin. They were down 21 in the third quarter, still the clippers had a chance in the end to win, but Kawhi Leonard missed a baseline fadeaway jumper in the final seconds. Check Freeman, Milwaukee.

Jerome Powell Believes He Might Actually Get His Soft Landing
"Welcome back everyone. I mentioned earlier in the week that this week would be the first really consequential macro week of the year. The reason of course is that the fed's first FOMC meeting was slated for Tuesday and Wednesday. Now, heading into this meeting, the markets were highly convinced that the Federal Reserve is going to continue to decrease its pace of rate hikes by increasing the federal funds target rate by 25 basis points. While this would mean that interest rates were still climbing, by and large, the market was more interested in the trendline than in the specifics. In fact, coming into this meeting, the really big question wasn't so much how much rates would be raised, although of course the fed could have surprised with a larger than expected hike. Instead, it was about what other signals and communications would there be about how the fed was thinking about the economy as a whole after a few months of seemingly declining inflation and more granularly for stocks, what Powell would say about loosening financial conditions over the past few months that led to January's rally. Specifically, markets were waiting to see if Powell would seek to stamp out the enthusiasm, or would he strike a different tone. So what did we get? As expected the FOMC decided to increase their policy interest rate by 25 basis points, bringing the target range to 4.5 to 4.75%. This represents another step down in the speed of hikes, which had been moving at a blisteringly fast pace of 75 basis points per meeting across 5 consecutive meetings last year before slowing down to 50 basis points at the previous FOMC meeting in December. Chairman Powell said shifting to a slower pace will better allow the committee to assess the economy's progress towards our goals as we determine the extent of future increases that will be required to attain a sufficiently restrictive stance.
Rep. Jim Jordan: Calling Out 50 Intel Officials Who Lied About Laptop
"Representative Jim Jordan's by the way How can it be that Hunter Biden how can it be Hunter Biden's laptop Referring to some of the lies are being told 51 former Intel officials told us it wasn't his laptop Now all of a sudden it is his laptop The focus that we'll have on the committee is how big government worked with big tech to keep that information from the American people starting with those 51 former Intel officials who wrote that now famous line that the Hunter Biden laptop story has all the earmarks of a Russian information operation We knew it wasn't at the time Now we have confirmation even from Hunter Biden himself for goodness sake So I think that's the key takeaway here What it means is the deep state has been lying to you for a long time Right Hunter Biden's laptop and then admitting it's real Well okay here we go Now I love how they phrased this right over there on CNN They're like oh well we're changing strategies CBS News we're changing strategies Was that your laptop For real I don't know I know but you know I really don't know The answer is you don't know yes or no if the laptop I don't have any idea I don't have any idea Okay now it's real So I'm going on offense and if you talk about the laptop then damn it I'm coming after you and you are going to jail Changing strategies right It's how they put the propaganda on CNN earlier today
What Happened to the Popularity That Nikki Haley Once Enjoyed?
"Happened to the popularity that Nikki Haley once enjoyed? Let's go to a couple pieces of tape here. Let's talk to, let's see Nikki Haley here talking to Brett Baer, cut 50, two weeks ago. Nikki Haley teasing that she's going to run for president. Now we know she is play cut 50. But when you're looking at a run for president, you look at two things. You first look at, does the current situation push for new leadership? The second question is, am I that person that could be that new leader? Yes, we need to go on a new direction. And can I be that later? Yes, I think I can be that leader. I've never lost a race. I said that then I still say that now. I'm not going to lose now, but stay tuned. 52, she continues and says it's time for a new generation to lead play cut 52. The survival of America matters. And it's bigger than one person. And when you're looking at the future of America, I think it's time for new generational change. I don't think you need to be 80 years old to go be a leader in D.C.. I think we need a young generation to come and step up and really start fixing things. So Nikki Haley running for president shows that Donald Trump is going to have some serious competitors. Competition. Now, Nikki Haley is not going to resonate with the grassroots base immediately. She's going to raise a pile of money though. A ton of money. I can say this as somebody who has been very blessed to raise a fair amount of money at turning point USA and turning point action and turning point pack and been around the conservative donor space for ten years and I listened to what they have to say and I agree that some and I disagree some but Nikki Haley is definitely a consensus candidate for the American conservative donor class. They love Nikki Haley.
New Proposal Calls for Wealth Tax That Follows Individuals
"Just want to highlight something that's coming out of the left coast state of California where that governor is being discussed as a possible contender in 2024 as a possible nominee from the Democrat party. Gavin Newsom absolutely absurd policies designed to only appeal to the extremists on the left, one of which is this thing I like to call full on hotel California. It's actually 90 that is not unique to California because you've had lawmakers from 7 other states, big ones, including Hawaii, Connecticut, New York, Illinois, Washington. They've all been out there introducing new ideas, new proposals for ways to tax the wealthy. And not just the wealthy. I mean, these are working working wealthy. So there's a distinction in some ways. Anyway, this particular proposal comes from an assembly member in California named Alex Lee, who wants to introduce a new tax on what he calls extreme wealth. According to mister Lee, the counter argument that says the rich will just leave. Well, they're going to fix that because they can just say, hey, look, you guys can run, but you can't hide. Direct quote, you can run, but you can't hide. And he's proud of it. I mean, forget about what that might actually mean for anybody who wanted to start a business in California or start a life in California. I don't think you would. Because these people are going to chase you down. His proposal would apply to individuals with a net worth of $50 million or more, and they would tax the well that 1% annually. Wealth beyond $1 billion would be taxed at 1.5%. So the funny thing about this is he doesn't seem to realize there actually is a real difference between 1 billion 50 million,
David Lee Miller: Migrants Unprepared for Weather in Housing Standoff
"Few dozen migrants living on the streets say they will not move all of them are single men who were told this weekend. They had to leave their rooms at a westside hotel in order to make room for migrants with families, including women and children. The plan was for all the single men to be relocated to a cruise line terminal in Brooklyn that has been set up as a temporary shelter. Many of the migrants say the terminal is not acceptable and want better quality housing. They are now not being allowed back into the hotel a few dozen migrants remain there. They refuse to leave. Some holdouts were removed this afternoon, a number boarded buses taking them to that Brooklyn site while just as many decided to camp outside on the street outside the hotel. Now New York City homeless outreach workers have tried and failed to convince the men that living on the street is not an option, although the migrants did agree to remove a dozen or so tense. One of the migrants from the Dominican Republic who said his name was Wilson, broke down in tears, discussing his flight. He told me he came here to work and is not being treated humanely. He said the shelter is cold, uncomfortable and just not have enough bathrooms. He says it's not far from the subway and that they lock the doors at 11 o'clock, which makes it difficult for him to keep a job. The mayor's office for its part, issued a statement that reads in part and I quote, the facilities at Brooklyn Cruz terminal will provide the same services as every other humanitarian leaf center in the city and the scheduled relocations to Brooklyn cruise terminal this weekend took place as planned. We remained in serious need of support from both our state and federal governments. So with this hour, it's not uncertain, it's not certain what's going to happen to the migrants who are living on the street. Temperatures right now hovering around 50° later this week. They're expected to drop significantly into the 20s. These migrants simply do not have the clothing and the gear to withstand those type of temperatures. Meanwhile, mayor Adams is saying that the city is overwhelmed by the sheer number of migrants, 46,000 in spring. The migrants with their part say they deserve better quality housing that the city argues it can not afford.
Doncic scores 53 in return, Mavericks beat Pistons 111-105
"Luka Dončić scored 53 points second highest scoring game of his career as the Dallas Mavericks rallied to beat the Detroit Pistons, one 11 one O 5. So the man's improved the 27 and 25, while Detroit falls to 13 and 39. Mass trailed by 11 midway through the third stepped up their defense the rest of the way, holding Detroit to 21 points in the decisive fourth quarter. Dončić has led the way with his 5th career 50 point game for those this season, while boyan by Donovan led the pistons with 29. Bob Stephens Dallas
Why Is Bitcoin Up? Is It a Bull Trap?
"Bitcoin's up why is it up is the question. And of course, many theories and speculations, the hash rate is up. And that is one of the reasons also I saw that mining rewards are up like 50% over the last week or so. So, you know, the price is up. A lot of people think that this is a bull trap and that we're going to see a massive plummet that is more due to the macroeconomy that it's due to happen in the stock market and in crypto, but nobody really knows. I don't know, you know? You know, to me, it seems like, you know, it feels like a bull trap of some sort. You know, but it's always nice to see Bitcoin hitting, you know, hitting 23,000. It's nice to see the global currency of crypto up over a trillion. I love that. Whenever it's over a trillion, it just feels better to me. It feels more congruent with my being to have crypto, be over a trillion. Now, I really like it when it's over 2 trillion, and I can't wait until it's over 5 trillion, which eventually we will see that occur, I am sure of that, not financial advice. But it's great to see things on the move. And
Astrid Høg on the COVID Lockdowns in Denmark
"Want to talk about your country. I have reported about Denmark as for example that it no longer wanted people under 50 to be vaccinated. Is that accurate? It is because in Denmark, COVID is no longer considered a serious illness. It's like any other flu. And we don't recommend people that are not where it's not dangerous for them to become sick to get vaccinated. So what did your country do with regard to lockdowns? The lockdown was at first. It was quick and it was heavy all the schools locked down, for instance. For how long? Four. Genocide, I forget how long was it anything approaching two years? No, and it definitely now. Okay, fine. So when spring began, this started opening up schools again. But what is significant with Denmark is that we, as first country, lifted all restrictions at a pretty early stage. Which was before Christmas 2021.
Why Do Teachers Ask Students What They Think?
"You know another thing that teachers do and by the way, I've done a lot of research on this. Next week I'm actually interviewing the sky on my show, John agosto, who wrote this fabulous book, the death of learning. Have you read it? No, but it sounds so right. Gosh, it resonated with me so much. So this isn't just true of my educational experience, but it's also true of others. Teachers have this idea that the student, especially in humanities courses, like English classes, they have this idea that the students in the discussion should figure out what the book is about. And I remember in high school, we were assigned two or three chapters to read of a book. And then the next day we show up to English class. And the teacher wouldn't help explain the themes of the chapter or what it's really about. Instead, she or he would just allow us to talk about it. But we're 14 year old squirts who don't understand. Exactly. We don't understand. So we're just like, I remember I remember sitting there going, I'm so stupid. I don't understand this. Oh God. I thought I was an idiot. Don't touch a sensitive point in my own life two things. One, I remember the same thing, so I'd be in school, and that through so what do you think to teacher would say? And I remember thinking, who cares what I think you're the teacher? It's irrelevant what I think, and then another kid would raise his or her hand, and I don't really want to know. And I like the kids, not I didn't like the kid. At 15, if you, you shouldn't be have the same insight as the 50 year old teacher or the 40 year old teacher. That's why they're the teacher.
Dinesh Reflects on Ronna McDaniel’s Pyrrhic Victory
"Ronna mcdaniel has been reelected as the chairwoman of the Republican National Committee. I was hoping that would not be the case. I don't normally get very involved in these kinds of races, but I think I felt as well as Ron DeSantis did that when you got an operation that is consistently losing, reducing bad results. Think of a corporate CEO's got bad earnings for four years in a row. And ronna mcdaniel produced bad results in 2018, 2020, 2022. Now I'm not saying this is single handedly her fault, but the Republican National Committee is in fact the organization that is in charge. Of managing the strategy for the GOP for the Republican Party in elections. It's got resources to do it. It's got the strategic ability to do it. It is involved in races across the country. So who else are you going to blame if not the RNC? Our meat Dillon, my friend army Dylan, a fellow Dartmouth grad, and harmony has been on the podcast before. I've also interviewed her in my book 2000 mules. And Harvey is great and her meat ran as a kind of resistance candidate, a candidate of the grassroots, and the final vote was something like a hundred or so votes for Verona, about 50 votes for her meat, and just a handful of votes for Michael lindell. It was kind of the wild man in the race.
Nashville Songwriters Association's Bart Herbison on Gordon Lightfoot
"Tell you, Gordon Lightfoot story. So we used to we have the world's largest songwriters festival late March early April. You've been ten pants out. We do a hundred shows, 400 riders, and 5 nights. We take over the town, and it's amazing. And one of my favorite parts is you never know who's going to show up. But we used to kick it off. We don't do it anymore for a lot of reasons. With the legend show. And this night it was Gordon Lightfoot, Donna Summer. I think kitty wells. It's just potpourri through time of fantastic songwriters, songwriter artist. And I think Gordon would acknowledge this. Gordon, you know, he's been doing this for 50 something years. So he agrees to do it, but look, he doesn't really have a relationship with us. He does it because of the other songwriters who are going to be on that Bill. I think America was on that Bill. It was an unbelievable show. And so it was a little high maintenance. Gordon goes, I need private jets. I need this and we just can't do it. So he ends up paying his own way down there. And it was in the tens of thousands. And like, go to my dressing room, whatever. Until the show started. And he walks out of the dress and I saw him watched on a summer, I saw him watch kitty wells, and he started crying. Because Bart, Bart, this is why I did it in the first place. I hadn't felt this in years. And so he does his gig, stunning. He goes back and calls me the next morning in Canada, and we're both a little weepy and he goes. At least for a moment, it took me back to why I did this in the first place. And that just meant so much to me because as you know, we're a songwriter town. And the artistry and the staging and the big stadiums and the smoke bombs. But when it's just you and a guitar, there's something emotional about that and Gordon felt it. I am proud we made him feel that for a night.

"I think we'll talk about this a little later on you know when think about being filled with the holy spirit and and what that means and that's you know it means a lot of different things. It's not just like the speaking in tongues part effusions for verse five reads. There's one lord one faith. One baptism god and father of all who is overall in a living through however he has given each one of us a special gift through the generosity of christ that is why the scriptures say when he ascended into the highest he led crowds of captives and gave gifts to his people. So that's kind of just reiterating. What we just read out acts one that when when jesus christ died for us. He ascended on high. He gave the crowd of people gifts he gave him the holy spirit and then in verse eleven. It goes on to read now. These are the gifts christ gifts to the church. He gives the postles the prophets the evangelists and pastors and the teachers. So that's talking about the fivefold ministry that's talking about the five more evident gifts that we see in the church right. I twelve says their responsibility is to equip god's people to do his work and build up the church the body of christ and again. Those are the gifts that chris gave to the church. And we're again. We're not all going to be called to be apostles and prophets and evangelists and pastors and teachers. Were not all going to be called the do that. We're not all called to be a part of the you know. The churches like the entity of being a part of the church. a however. you could argue that we are still called to be a part of the church in not the physical sense but the church family and still called to be. Some of us are called to be evangelist. Even though it's not like the way that you think of an evangelist right you and your everyday life sharing sharing technically right right evangelize. Last i think we get people read that and get wrapped up the terminology like billy graham right just an extreme example of that right we read these passages and we evaluate you know what it means and we have to really think about it and not just take it for face value necessarily because in our society the way that some of these terms have been thrown around. They get this. I don't wanna say stigma but they get this this definition around them that it's like well i i can't be that when you really can right..

"First corinthians six nineteen says. Don't you realize that your body is the temple of the holy spirit who lives in new and was given to you by god. You did not belong to yourself for god. Bought you with a high price. See must honor god with your body so the last couple episodes we've been talking about purpose. Two episodes ago it was. We were talking about god. Created you on purpose and kind of setting some groundwork of what we're going to be continuing to talk about. Last time we talked about how how. Jesus redeemed you for a purpose and now on this episode we are talking about how the holy spirit fills you with a purpose. Seventy having listened to the previous episodes. Please go back and do so. Hopefully they'll be a blessing to you but we just want to continue with what we've been talking about. The past two episodes and thaddeus were that scripture that our body is a temple of the holy spirit in acts where tax about how jesus was around for forty days after he conquered the grave and he appeared to the postles and all of that talks about that but what attacks vote in. There is how john baptized with water in john even baptized jesus. But it says that in verse five of x one. It says john baptized with water. But in just a few days you'll be baptized with the holy spirit. And of course the apostles were kind of like well. What does this mean aren't you. Aren't you here to fulfill all these other things like become our king and restore israel. And they're you know. Because they had a lot of preconceived notions of what it meant to have jesus as there savior. And jesus as king. But jesus said to them. The father loan has authority authority to set the dates and the times but they are not free to know and then verse eight says but you'll receive power when the holy spirit comes upon you and you'll be my witnesses telling people about me everywhere in jerusalem throughout judea and samaria and to the ends of the earth. I love that scripture where it talks about how you'll receive power when the holy spirit comes upon.

"To find the timeless. And this is the way it's meant to be. That's a weird serendipity. Because i did a voiceover auditioned today for cartoon and one of the characters was a pastor just to get I was doing multiple character. So he's trying to find like five different voices and so one of them. I was like. I'll just look up joe lows team just to kind of get the feel of a pastor kind of like a smiley passer and the jolo scene clip. I found that. It was really funny. Because i really and he was basically saying what mood. He said you're just going like god accepts you as you are not when you're transformed as you are right now and he's working on little bottle. Oh that's how it works. He's basically saying and i understand. There's been some snafus in the past would with joel come pastor joel But i remember talking about that. We were like. I sometimes think that he's giving people. It might look kind of like primary colors. Pretty basic but there is a message of like euro k. And and it's okay. I will take that over even if it seems smiley or saccharin or whatever. It is the turns people off about him. I'll take that over a smiley saccharin guy going like and you will burn. Inhale like it least our version of like a billy graham and i actually don't know that much about billy graham but i'm pretty sure billy graham was telling you to turn burn at the end of the day which was kind of as good as we could do at that time. You know what i mean given the. He's he's dad was probably born in one thousand nine hundred fifteen for say like he could have been yeah. It's just remarkable. That he was doing as well as he was that he has that much connection with love and compassion and stuff. So it makes sense that this other billy graham type would would move in that direction if that makes them. Yeah yeah so but the tricky thing is that it's both so it is you are it takes time to get to the timeless and you can only ever find debt right now. That's that's it that's exactly right. Both things are true and that like brakes your brain and guess what it's that it's meant to. It's not forty by little by little. Yeah it's it's good. It's a good sign that our brain can't hold both of those truths because it's not for your brain ahead and get out of there that's right that's and that's what Richard roy says father richie. He says like the human mind can't comprehend divine love so don't try. Yeah human the human imagination will always be balancing will always be beheading will always be incarcerating punishing and whipping. It's what the brain does goes. This is ugly. That's bill this wall and we'll put the bad people on the other side of it and even here we'll even torture and kill our own bedroom because we were not up to snuff even in our own little utopia we're not up to snuff. That's what we're all doing. And we don't accept infinite grace or infinite love. Yeah or like our brain is our brain. Is i like to think of my brain as a a neurotic Well meaning overprotective mother. Looks good and so it's just not it's it just doesn't trust unconditional love. That's right so it's not like it's trying to deprive you of that or it's trying to keep you in in a dark place for the sake of keeping you in a dark place it ultimately is maybe the ego is and the ego uses the thinking mind daughter fear out of fear. But i feel like you're thinking even your ego is trying to keep you alive in the way that thinks meant to keep keep existing at all costs right whichever you said you were like. Even fear is love. Yeah because fear just wants you to exist. Yeah so we like really the bigger thing that i said about that and i keep going back to it to try to remember it. Is we ultimately. When i'm in a fearful place. I will go. Okay how do i know that the world is a benevolent is ultimately a benevolent. Like not the world the existent every this reality everything is ultimately benevolent. And some would argue. It's it's not some would argue quite rightly that it is a a swirl it's both energies and that's true the world not in this reality is like it is containing both energies. I choose to believe that ultimately it's all held and love remain the forested animating both energy is is ultimately loving. Yes exactly thank you for putting that better than i could And and sometimes i really. I doubt that. Especially if i'm in a fearful place like maybe this is just a very weird accident and this is super unfriendly existence. But what's helped me. When i do that is and this is something that my brain came up with. So thank you brain. It's not all shit in there. Your brain is hosting the guess right now. I love you bread. Yeah what else. Noah can handle it. It's way rougher with me. I am with that. So that's so true But it's like okay so so is the world of friendlier unfriendly place. When i'm in a fearful place. I can see all of the things. That's that are unfriendly about it. So look at those unfriendly things. What is happening there. What's causing person to do. A damaging thing to another person for example fear and what is underneath. Fear your body wanting to keep you alive. That's love that's right and the fear is built out of a misunderstanding of who you really are. Yeah so someone tells you you belong to this group this race this country this tribe this belief system. And then you protect it. Yeah so you think you're protecting yourself but you really projecting something else. Yeah and now. Stephen more intense fear like look at the number of things that the fred phelps people hate. And that's this weird here so they. They fed the fear even more nonsense. And then you're afraid of things that we're looking at like i'm afraid of crossing the highway at night you know. And that's an easier example. That fear does want to keep you alive and then the fear can get perverted can get exaggerated. Kim get over fed over stimulated. And it's not just by itself. It's not just by the brain but it's your culture. It's your twitter feed. It's your instagram feed. It's your tick-tock feed your friends. It's the books reading the movies..

Not necessarily something I'm into right now, but, like home. To be friends and meet up in the future. That would have been way better than like this petty shit. Honestly my my response ready this was actually a few minutes keep in mind I'm tired and it's it's 1:15. This is prime nap time at this point, right? Yeah. Not the time to mess with me. What? I got the first note I have is this move was not supposed to be produced at 20th Century Fox. That's right. They actually had, I don't know if they had signed papers somewhere else but they were ready to roll with another studio and pull the plug at the last name. Well, part of it was a budgetary issue and part of it was Mel Brooks and Gene Wilder were adamant that this was going to be a black and white film. They were going to do an omage to the original Universal Pictures Frankenstein, which was, of course, Franklin died that it was Bride of Frankenstein that it was the son of Frankenstein and then ghost of Frankenstein. They wanted to shoot in that mode. They wanted it to look like, it was a movie that they discovered out of the thirty. Everything about this film, need to match that kind of temper and tone and they did not want to shoot in color. Well, even if you go as you go through that first minute, and go through the credits, it has the look and feel of the 1931 Frankenstein. And even the the lettering is the same, the overtones of the music are the same and it really does have that same sense of the opening of the original Frankenstein. All right. Who's it going to be the job to holding their own in the number two spot? Again, is certified mama's boy with.

"Be sure to check out episode number 55 where they wage. Talk about the dad who took his kid into the elephant habitat at the zoo. I am still shaking my head on that one and I have on the line Brian from the commercial break Brian like that's crazy. So this Mensa member this genius decided he wanted to take a selfie in the new elephant exhibit at the San Diego Zoo. He takes his child his two-and-a-half-year-old child into the elephant need to stand next to this huge male elephant tusks at all. And the most shocking part about this is that when the elephant charged the pair the father dropped the child face-first down into the mud. Luckily. The elephant was a better father than this human being because the elephant managed to avoid damaging the child in any kind of meaningful way so that they're both people were safe. But obviously the father was arrested on multitude of charges. It's a great episode. We have lots of fun with it. And of course the kid was okay. It sounds like they have lowered the standards for the Mensa test laid off. Yes that yes they have it's not a match made in heaven. "Together and formed gaming a guidance with gaming guidance is literally on the story of what my grandma gates me and what i'll give it back to the world so when my grandma gave me is giving back to the world through dude the platform of gaming a guidance allowed to take on been down with me for the longest one thing. I wanna say about logitech bro. Is that on. The of narrower right now is pulled to support black gaiters in diversity and inclusion or stuff is cool there. What i can say is the majority of what you see is not genuine. And there's maybe a few percent that is genuine. I noticed because i wanna front end of the industry in the back in the industry. The i'm in every area in the industry does lonesome involved in the up. You know but you're seeing it right now and i played a major role in a lot of stuff on the bathroom. So what i'm trying to say. Is you know before it was cool. Thing to do. Logitech has been downhill years way before you know this stuff so there are certain companies has always been genuine and i noticed because a lot of things that you are seeing today. I'm the one that was telling these companies do because i was the person breaking the barriers the loudest the facing room. You know what i'm saying. We're gonna energy we're going to or basically. Yeah so think about this for a second. 'cause you only see how you say you never got a call back from g four northzone stuff right so think about this second win in. Tom has gi- like especially back then. Has g full gain. Spock talk radio. These companies ever had somebody that was Black or just a person of color overall as their leader for game news never writing the euro. Never were doing very forget you see now so it right so so the thing is what i want to educate people on is on the back end bid certain budgets that companies. Get so. if you don't recieve you don't have anything in motion to support You know Black creators in other minorities and stuff like that. The you lose the money that you is gonna get so a lot of the stuff that you're seeing right now. A lot of is not genuine is a bucket list. There's a checklist cousin. If you're if you're supposed to get two million dollars for your department in They tell you that. If you don't implement these programs be gonna cut your budget to four hundred thousand instead of the two millions. We'll get right now. They're forced to have this. That's why you see collectively as a whole everybody doing the same thing because everybody got bottom lines families to feed so they have to do it right to say so. I just wanna make that real clear because the person i'm the kind of person. I wanna make sure that everything is right. Everything is fair. Because i genuinely love people in are genuinely love. The industry and i want to see grow grow correctly where everybody has a fair shot. These the that's why. Every time i speak until like it is because that's the only way things are going to get better but i don't do it in a whole way. You don't do it in a way outta love and care and understanding but that's kind of journey or what led me to be hip hop gamer. So now on my day to day you know..

Yeah where he he he like approached me like whatever and this was the first time that I had ever done this and I was like, well, I mean, he barely speaks English. So how bad can it be, you know something that's probably good so it's exotic. So we we hooked up and then in everything's fine, cuz obviously we had been drinking and like waiting up to that was okay the part that was like the worst aside. The whole thing in general that's terrible and that I regret immensely was like after it's done and I literally was like, okay. Thanks. Dropping a spot and number three certified mama's boy was Steve Kramer and Nancy. Did you catch their interview and podcast magazine? It's a good one.
