And I'm going to let you know that I had a reader last week for my mailbag column on S .I. com, send it an email and said, when is Marchand's next appearance? So here we go. You made someone happy. Thank you that person. You made someone happy by coming on today. Let's start with this. A lot of media news to get to. Have you heard anything from ESPN or do you have any intel about how they feel about the last two weeks? How the staggered Monday Night Football doubleheader has gone? Because I've gotten a lot of emails and tweets about it. I'm sure you have as well. Yeah, I haven't talked to anybody specifically about how they feel about it. I mean, it is an NFL decision. ESPN is not in control of how those games are scheduled. Maybe they have some say, but it's the NFL decision. Yeah, I don't like it. Actually, in our podcast with John, it was my who's down this week. And the reason I just feel like I kind of said this on our part, it's too it's like having two quarterbacks and you have none. Right. And now if you have Joe Montana and Steve Young, there are two awesome games. Maybe that'd be better. But I just find my attention split and I don't know. And even at like halftime, I wouldn't recommend you go to the other game. Like I get what they're trying to do there, but it's not the NCAA tournament. And usually it's in like the second quarter, third quarter. So I personally don't think it really works that well. Now, I think they want to avoid I'm not positive, but I think they want to avoid that 10 30 late window. We used to get the Monday night and you get the, you know, crazy crew, either Chris Berman or Golick and Greenberg, you know, some of those crews back in the day. They probably don't want that late night game where, you know, you're losing that East Coast audience if it gets too late. But I don't know. I don't think this necessarily works. See, I like it. And what are the tweet? What are the tweeters say? Most people seem to not like it. Yeah. And why do you like it? The more the merrier. Give me as much football as possible. If I can watch eight games at one o 'clock on Sunday and four or five games at four o 'clock on Sunday, I can handle two games on Monday night. So, you know, I have two TVs. I put one game on each TV and two is better than one for me. That's just how I feel. Yeah, I've been a little running around these last couple of Mondays when this happened. So I may be a little bit, you know, my opinion skewed a little bit by that. It hasn't just been like I'm just chilling and watching, been running around a little bit. So perhaps that's, you know, maybe I could be swayed. I will say, you know, I don't know. This is a whole separate discussion. I would love to know your take on this, but I always feel like it's a little tough sometimes to criticize people in this podcast when I also have to book this podcast. So I try to be careful. Yeah, I notice you're very soft. That's what you're trying to say. Sometimes. So I'm sure this guy will never come on again, but they gotta do better than Chris Fowler on the secondary game. Just not, it's just not working. Chris is not a great play -by -player. Right. He was a great host, studio host. Can I say one thing? Yeah. He's on tremendous tennis. Like I watch the U .S. Open every single day. I think he's great on tennis. It's football where it's just something feels off. Well, tennis is also slower. And like you look at people who do really well at the slower sports. Like, you know, Jim Nantz is better than Chris Fowler, but Nantz is really his best thing is golf. And I think he's an OK NFL play -by -player. And at the end of his college basketball run, he was definitely, I don't know, OK is probably, you know, he was OK there as well. And I think if you look at Fowler and his history, now he's been doing play -by -play for a while now. And he has gotten better. Like when he first started on the number one crew, I mean, if I were covering it then, that would not, I probably would not have been that kind. Because he has gotten better, but it's not really good enough. And he's the rare case, I think with Herb Street, that Herb Street makes him better. Usually it's the play -by -player who makes the analyst better. And yeah, I think you're right. And I also think, you know, in fairness to Fowler, you know, ESPN put that crew together. They replaced Levy there and they had a year or two under their belt together as a team. And, you know, not the full team, but him and Riddick, Levy and Riddick, and then Jadolowski. And I think they kind of don't, they underestimate chemistry. It takes time to build it up. And so I think that hurts. And he just, he's a college guy too. It's hard just to come into the NFL. I know he, you know, he's talked how hard his schedule is with the U .S. Open. And then, you know, doing a game a couple days later. And then doing a college. And so, you know, that's hard. And so, yeah, he's not a tremendous play -by -player. To me, this is just me, it felt like when ESPN gave him that gig, it was more about ESPN trying to impress the NFL. Like, look, we have our number one college game. Like you had said earlier, the secondary Monday night game for years was, you know, Golic and Greenberg and Chris Berman with a cast of character. Rich Ryan did it one year. I think this is ESPN trying to say to the NFL, because now they have a Super Bowl and they have this big contract. And, you know, they brought in Buck and Aikman. Like, we're serious, we're going to take our, regardless of what you think about Fowler, he's their lead college guy. So, I feel like they're like, oh, look at us, we're putting the lead when, you know, that. Yeah, I think they screwed up and I think they know they screwed up. I think that they ended up shifting who was in charge of the NFL. It was Stephanie Drewley. And they moved her off the NFL after, you know, I think that didn't help her cause in terms of staying on the NFL. I think they were satisfied with Levy. He was a good guy, which they value. After they brought in Joe Buck, he was very gracious. You know, Levy's a very good hockey guy, especially studio host. I thought he could have, you know, could have been the pregame show on Monday Night Football. He's in, again, not their, in my opinion, they had other people who are better play -by -players for football, but it was good. Like, so, yeah, I don't think it was to impress the NFL. They got Joe Buck and Troy Aikman. They got the Mannings. I mean, they spend, they're spending 50, 60 million dollars a year on their booths. Like, I don't think the second team booth is gonna, you know. If anything, I think it was, there was a thought before Buck and Aikman that Fallon and Herb Street might get the NFL. Might get Monday Night Football. Might get the potential Super Bowl. And then this is kind of a carrot since they didn't get it. But I'd argue, and I even talked to Chris Fowler about this. So, I don't know if this is the case. I just don't know if, I mean, Chris Fowler does the national championship. He does the biggest college game every week for Disney. I can't, like, I get it. Maybe he wanted to do NFL. But is this really gonna satisfy him because you're doing a second game, which generally aren't that great? I don't, I don't see that long -term, personally. And I think also, strategically, if I'm ESPN, I'm putting a young play -by -player. Now, Joe Buck, we both think it's great. Like, he and Ian Eagle are the best two play -by -players going right now. And, um, but, Joe Buck's contract's up in a couple of years. If I'm ESPN, and I, you know, I think they'll probably re -sign Joe Buck, and they should. That said, he makes a lot of money. And, you know, I would be saying, who can I develop? What young guy can I develop? So when I go into that negotiation, I really have somebody who's on the rise. And I can say, hey, look, you don't want this, you know, the 15 million a year? Then we'll go here, you know? But if you start demanding, I'm not saying this is going to happen, but, demanding even more and more money, I'd want an option. I don't think they've created an option. They've actually put somebody in that spot who they've already said they'd rather spend 15 million dollars on Joe Buck than have Chris Fowler as the lead play -by -player. So, I just think negotiation -wise, and strategically, in terms of saving money, it wasn't a great decision. Yeah. I don't understand the insistence on the three -person booth, either. They had Fowler, Greasy, and Riddick. Excuse me, excuse me. Levy, Riddick, Greasy. Now it's Fowler or Lofsky, Riddick. To me, that, and, Fowler's used to a two -person booth with Herb Street. They have Buck and Aikman, which is a two -person booth. I don't understand the insistence on the three -person booth. It's just, for football, it just, I don't get it, but, that's just my - It complicates, it over -complicates it. Yeah. And like you said, chemistry. I think it's much harder to develop a chemistry with three. I mean, you know, the local Mets situation is different with Gary Cohn, Ron Darl - Is it in baseball, is it football? What three men, can you name - I mean, I guess back in the old Monday Night Football days, there were three men booths that had - Yeah, Collinsworth and Aikman with Buck that one year. Yeah, one year it lasted, you know. So, I don't know. But, there's no more staggered double -headers. The next one is week 14, and both games will start at 8 -15. I think that's the one that's going to piss a lot of people off. But, that's a long way down the road. You got the two TVs. Yeah. I asked you if ESPN, how they feel about Monday Night Football. Anything you've heard about how they feel about their new partnership with Pat McAfee. I mean, it's early, but they're bullish on it. I mean, they've kind of handed the keys to the network to McAfee. I mean, you can't - it's kind of like Stephen A. now. You can't really turn on ESPN almost every day except basically Sunday without seeing Pat. And so, you know, I think initially the ratings weren't that good. I think they got a little better in terms of the TV ratings. I think that kind of makes some sense because if you think about it, he was a YouTube show. Yeah, he's got to play for TV. Yeah, and he's still a YouTube show. Well, it is a play for TV because they think that they had Max in there before. They think that the ratings will be high enough that they'll be able to charge more for the ad rates. I guarantee you the money they'll make off of McAfee on social media and YouTube will be 8 billion times more than the money they made off Max Kellerman on social media. Oh, 100%. No, you're right. No, you're right. There's no doubt about that. And look, they want to get, I will say this, like, does it work? I think a lot of times when companies make big moves, you know, big time moves, a lot of times they make those moves when the person's kind of towards the end, you know, they got McAfee on the rise. Like, you know, we, you know, you and I have been aware of McAfee for years now, but he's really like, you know, here, I don't think he's at the plateau, you know, where most people go up and then they plateau and then they go down. He's at, he's still, I think, going up and then maybe the plateau is on the horizon and you can plateau for 20, 25 years if you have the right attitude and personality and just have the right act. So that's where I think that makes a lot of sense as a bet because it's not, I'll hit one close to home, Rick Riley leaving ESPN. I mean, leaving SI for ESPN where, you know, Rick Riley is one of the great columnist ever, but at that point, you know, whatever, maybe it was the internet, I don't know exactly. It just didn't really work as well at ESPN as it did at SI. And so I just think they've done that and that's kind of, you know, teams do that in sports and I think sometimes networks do that. And so I feel like signing McAfee in his mid -30s is kind of like signing a baseball free agent who's in his mid -20s and I think that's what you want to do as opposed to getting a, signing a 35 -year -old and, you know, thinking they can still play, you know, like, I don't know, like a Josh Donaldson, maybe trading for someone like that, Jimmy. You see what I did there? I don't need reminders of the horrific Yankee season. I just did that on purpose. I don't need that. My head was going, who am I going to say? All right, yeah, Josh Donaldson, but it was a treat. Just a, yeah, you want me to say Brian Cashman should be fired. It's amazing too, they replay that. I didn't know this was going to be the situation going into it, but they replay the show as soon as it's over, I think, on ESPN 2 and then they replay it at night on maybe ESPN News or one of their, what you said about if you're going to put on one of the ESPNs at any point in the day, you're going to see Pat McAfee. Yeah. So that's good for him. Like I, you know, people feel like - But I also think, ESPN has to be, they have Aaron Rodgers on their air every week. It's a news making thing that's on their air every week. They've got Nick, he's got Nick Saban on his show every week. Yeah. That's a news making thing every week. I would think ESPN has to be, forget the numbers because the numbers, I think, will be there. It's still a new thing. You have, the ESPN audience is older, the McAfee audience is younger, it might take some, but I would think ESPN just on the brand and the cachet of that show has to be thrilled. I think so. I mean, but if you talk, like I have, again, I'll probably make some calls here in the near future, but so I haven't talked specifically with anybody about that. But generally speaking, when these things first start, everyone loves it. So then we'll see. Again, I'm not saying, I could see it either way. Like, you know, McAfee has not really stayed at any of these, throughout any of these contracts he's had. So that's something to watch. Maybe this one he does, but that hasn't been the case previously. So that is something. I think the fact that he's on game day has to help the relationship there a little bit with ESPN. Here's the thing about McAfee. If you're managing him, in my opinion, and it's like Casey Jones, the former coach of the Celtics, was known for just throwing out the ball and telling McHale, Parrish, and Bird to go play, Dennis Johnson. At least that's how I remember as a kid. That was his reputation. And I think McAfee is sort of like that. Just give him the ball, let him do his thing. He's not looking to, you know, for some strategy. Let's, you know, triangle offense. He's not looking for that. He's looking for, let me do my thing. I know what I'm doing. And the thing about McAfee is he's very smart. Like, I know he plays this, like, he's not smart thing. It works very hard. He works hard and he's very smart. He's very savvy. He acts as if, like, you know, maybe he's, you know, just a dumb jock. But he understands the media business very well. We need, we need to discuss the Kelsey Taylor Swift thing because I actually think it's a legitimate media story. If Fox is going to get these increase in their demographics of the female audience, the young people, the NFL has gone all in on this thing. I mean, they changed their Twitter header to, like, a Taylor Swift thing. They're putting out Travis Kelsey Swiftiest plays on their social media. He's gained, I guess, a ton of followers, the jersey sale. Let me start with this. How did you think Fox handled it on Sunday when she was in the stadium? Do you think they overdid it? Do you think the fact that they had an unwatchable game takes them off the hook? What was your take on the Chiefs -Bears on Sunday when she was there? I think the second part, and I wouldn't take them off the hook, but I think the second part, you have an unwatchable game that you had to switch most of the country out of because it was so non -competitive, that you have Taylor Swift there, it's a big deal. And, you know, there's a lot of Taylor Swift fans who are football fans, a lot of non -Taylor Swift fans who weren't watching that game, but it was a talking point, right? Like, I saw Taylor Swift in the concert this summer, but that was kind of - Look at you! Yeah, how do you like that? Look at you! You couldn't even get tickets. Big shot. Where'd you get tickets? My daughter's friend just won the lottery. No shenanigans. Oh, really? Tickets were $235 each, which is still a lot of money, but not, like, $1 ,000. And it was just kind of happenstance, how I ended up going. I was going to say, if your daughter's friend got tickets, how did you end up at the era's tour? I mean - Were you, like - It's just a long drive to get to the metal lands, didn't want them driving back. They're older, they can drive, but at, you know, one o 'clock in the morning from Taylor Swift, so - But you were in MetLife and watched the show. Yes. Friendship bracelets? Well, you want to know something funny? This is a good one. So, my daughter's friend said to me, do you want a - do you want a jewel? And I'm like, no, no, no, I'm okay. Thinking she's saying a jewel, like a jewel, smoke. But she was saying, like, to, like, get bedazzled, a little jewel, which I would have taken. So later, I was like, I told my daughter, I said, but your friend, she said she asked me if I wanted a jewel. She's like, no, no, she didn't say you wanted a jewel. She said, do you want a - a jewel to put some ju - you know. Right. I didn't have any bracelets, but I was into - I liked Taylor Swift. I wouldn't go again. I kind of felt bad being there, because there's people who give their left arm to be there. But it was - look, she is an unbelievable performer. I mean, it was - you could - first of all, I liked some of her songs. Secondly, the level of performance. It was just, you know, it was an A+. I mean, that - that - and that is something, even if you didn't like her music, you can appreciate it. And also, I appreciate it if I had to go to the bathroom. Easy pass right in there. No one. Right. No one's leaving their seat except for people like you who aren't in it. Yeah, and especially, yeah, and more skewed women.

A highlight from Elias Simos: Rated Network - Reputation for Machines = Transparent Blockchain Infrastructure

"Welcome to Epicenter, the show which talks about the technologies, projects, and people driving decentralization and the blockchain revolution. I'm Felix Lötsch, and today I'm speaking with Ilya Simos, who is the co -founder of Rated Network. Rated is providing node operator metrics and ratings for the Ethereum network. Hi Ilyas, and welcome to Epicenter. Thank you Felix, thanks for having me. Huge fan of the show since I joined the industry, so very, very glad to be with you today. Awesome, yeah, I'm also really excited to have you. We have a long history of working together in the staking space, and it's been really interesting to follow your path, and now seeing you build your own project with Rated, which is what we're here to talk about today. But yeah, let's start with the classic basics of, you know, how did you get into crypto and ended up where you are today? Cool. So first touch with crypto started in 2013, I used to live with a really good friend of mine, he found out about Bitcoin and he started talking about it non -stop, started building stuff, talked about it even more. Initially I thought he was kind of nuts and didn't really get it, but then the more we talked about it, the more I got it, but didn't really pay attention too much. When it really clicked for me was in 2015, I'm Greek originally, and so in 2015 was the worst part of the decade -long crisis effectively that Greece was in, and in 2015 we had capital controls come in, huge referendum, should we stay in the European Union, should we break away, that means also like leaving the monetary union, issuing our own currency, and so capital controls was this really gut -wrenching period, if you will, for Greek society at large, it like crippled the economy, all the young people left, but like there are really visceral images that I still have in my mind of very long lines of pensioners around each ATM that you see on the street driving around, talking about 50 people, 100 people, blocks like whole blocks worth of lines, waiting to get their weekly ration of money, and so at that point like I had the sort of the light bulb moment regarding Bitcoin, I was like okay I get it now, non -state money, you're not beholden to this idea of institutions and the way institutions work in the modern financial system, and I really found that appealing, so then started you know researching more, but again not being like very involved, it all sort of came together in 2017 with Ethereum for me, and this whole idea of you know applications that you're able to build on a platform that has like the properties of Bitcoin, but then can extend this logic sort of arbitrarily right, like the vision of the world computer and so on, so spent the whole year just researching stuff, trading, trying to build things with friends, but by the end of it I look back and I was like well you're having like so much fun, and you resonate with like the whole mission of self -sovereignty, and just building something better than kind of the alternatives which is kind of what is the status quo, and I decided to commit myself full -time to the space, so I got a job with a fund called the Central Park Capital, they were just starting out back then, I was the first hire that they made as an analyst, I stayed with them for three years, made a bunch of investments, built a pretty expansive data platform while at the fund when you know Dune didn't exist, token analyst was like one of the earlier data companies that were looking at blockchain analytics specifically, and helped them raise a 75 million dollar fund too, and then I left, and I joined the startup called Bison Trails, which at the time that I joined was, I think it was employee number 20 or so, I was a protocol specialist there, I think it was the second ever person to be called a protocol specialist in the industry, although I know you have been doing like very similar work in your history in the space, so the first was Victor, was my colleague who hired me in basically, and at Bison Trails, as it was validators as a service, that's what we were building, we ended up building a pretty large platform I think at the top of the market, it was north of 30 billion dollars on platform, a year later we were acquired by Coinbase, and then I stayed there for another year before I branched out on my own to Foundrated with my co -founder Aris, but super happy to talk to you about the of internals the story there, but I want to let you ask whatever questions.

"Well, you see how easy this is now. Now you look at how they move money around and how the in your face money laundering folks, this is what this is. This is corruption and fraud. Some of the Bidens are great at the money laundering part. They got 20 shell corporations, but guess who's getting the guess who's going to be controlling the funding to rebuild Ukraine. We pay to destroy it. And guess what? The Hillary Clinton Foundation gets paid the rebuild Welcome right. to the podcast. We are in the same studio today, which is kind of nice. So thanks again for downloading. If you're just listening, if you're watching or watching the clips, uh, thanks for watching as well. And just for a quick mention, so I don't forget, if you haven't downloaded our app yet, I'm noticing we're getting a lot of downloads and the cool thing is when the morning Mike's program is going Monday, Wednesday, Friday, I'm the, seeing the view count go up and up and up, which is awesome. So I know we're only, you know, we're still in the dozens. I'd like to get into the hundreds and eventually thousands, um, but it's a cool program. If you haven't listened to it, it's a quick 15 minutes to quick by morning, run down three days a week of the top five topics, three minutes each. Do a great job. They do an awesome job when we're, when we fill in the stuff. We screw the whole thing up. Yes. Yeah. We, we blow the whole, the whole, uh, the schedule, but, um, but they do awesome and they're funny. I love it. It's a quick, you know, down and dirty 15 minutes, top five items of the day. And now you get your day started off on the, uh, they, you know, I think on the right foot, they were saying this week, like, Oh, it's so negative all the time, but I think they're hilarious. They take the negative stuff that's going on, but of course the negative stuff isn't the news. Yeah. Yeah. That's what we're seeing. I mean, carjackings again, Rochester had another, you know, record night. I mean, it's incredible how that was going on. And so it's amazing is, is like the Democrats just sit around and watch this happen in every city and every city. It's insane. Yeah. I sent you an article earlier this morning about Philadelphia. Let's see. I can find it. It's, uh, not that it's anything out of, you know, anything that we don't know about, but let's see here. Philadelphia swarmed by alleged juvenile. Come on, come on. Juvenile looters targeting the Apple store, Lulu lemon and footlocker. Yeah. So, cause they're starving. They're starving. They just, just need a little piece of ham and some Turkey. They need clothes and food. That's, that's only fair. I mean, they, you know, and once again, I know we've all heard this joke, but footlocker is not missing one pair of working boots. No, no, all the Nike's, all the Nike. Yeah. Well, some of those Nike's, I mean, Oh my God. Crazy. You know, talking about like, you know, thousands of dollars for a pair of, thousands, thousands of dollars. I was talking to my daughter and she said to one, one of her friends has a, as a pair of shoes were $1 ,200. I'll never forget the most expensive pair of shoes I ever bought. We were just starting a business. This was like 30 years ago now. Right. Crazy to think. And I remember somebody told me that maybe my dad was like, you got to have a decent pair of shoes. Right. And so I went up and I bought a pair of Justin and Murphy's. They're like 120 bucks at the time. Yeah. The most money I have ever spent on a pair of shoes. Now boots, I've spent more money on since because boots are more expensive, you know, hunting boots. Well, there's a purpose to them. I still don't spend more money on shoes. Like I'm wearing like Skechers or like $40. Like some of these Nike's $500. You can't tell me you're running faster. It's different when you're going to go out and buy a pair of like waders or something. You're going to use them. First of all, you're going to use them for the next 30 years. Right. And there's a purpose to them, right? Like, okay, they're more expensive, but I can walk through the water with them. Right. But if I bought like, if I had five, 600 hour pairs of shoes, I'd be afraid to leave the house. I wouldn't, I wouldn't get off the carpeting. Well, they're targeting the Apple store here, Glenn, because they'll buy jobs. And that's the only way to get a job is to make sure you've got an Apple iPhone. So it'll be like Chicago. We talked about this the other week with, with, uh, with Mike Speraza, Chicago is now forced to open or, or just talking about opening, you know, a, a government run grocery store in the inner city because they've all that. Well, they're going to, so they're going to, they're going to, the plan is to fight the communism with more kind of communism, right? That's going to work really well. But could you imagine how inefficient, first of all, Walmart's pulled out, Costco's pulled out, all the stores have pulled out because now target, have you heard targets now closing stores across the country? So target is now going through and discussing all the stores across the country, liberal target, liberal target. They put a black lives matter that they ripped down the smash of the window. I thought that'd be some sort of a shield or that we're just going to put up this, uh, this plywood and we're going to spray black lives matter on it. Hashtag hashtag BLM. And we'll be safe as they rip it out and use that same plywood to smash the window with. It's pathetic. There'll be nothing left in these inner cities. The problem is when it starts to spill over into the, into the, Oh yeah. This is, this is where it gets ugly. Well, they want it. That's what they want. That's, that's why people like, uh, the governor of New York, uh, you know, Kathy, the ice queen, Kathy Hochul is, is, you know, they first tried the push for section eight housing in the suburbs because that was only fair. Yeah. Now they couldn't get that through because the people in the suburbs are like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Now they're busing in illegal immigrants in the middle of the night. And I tell you something, if these Democrats like Mark Poland cars were proud of what they were doing, they would have a welcoming party at noon at noon, high noon. They'd have a press conference welcoming our newest community members off the bus so that the whole community could see these family units that are getting off. You got the husband, the wives, the two kids, you know, the things that we see in our country, right? No, it's not happening. They're bringing them in at two o 'clock in the morning. So nobody sees, they're all, they're all 23 year old males, right? Or 18 to 25 year old males. Some of which are from the Congo. I don't know about the, uh, you know, the, some of the social norms in the Congo, but I'm just thinking that maybe they're a little bit different than the Western world. I don't know. I'm just thinking maybe not. Maybe they're exactly like us. I don't know. But they're exactly like us. Why would they want to come here? Why are they aspiring to come here? I don't know. Anyway, it's a fentanyl fentanyl up again, by the way, there was another report. I think it was on a Fox news. Well, good for the Republicans. I mean, at least part of them, I should say good for the five or six Republicans that are the extreme right wing, according to the media, that's holding this garbage up. No, shut the government down, shut it down, shut it down until there's no more money. Take the money, go into Ukraine and send it to Texas, which they did right to the border, which they didn't do last time. Right. Kept it open. That's what do you need? What do you need? We're out of control. The founding fathers gave the power of the purse to Congress and the, and the Pentagon, the Pentagon goes, yeah, you know what? We're just going to exempt Ukraine funding from the budget. So ha ha. We just went over 33 trillion. If you go online and look at the clock, it's moving fast, right? So we're on our way to 34 or 35. Can you even see the numbers anymore? They just blur blur now. So, so fast. Oh no. And, and good news, by the way, we're refinancing this debt at 5 % now, not at 1 % or zero like we were doing. Yeah. It makes a lot of sense. Yeah. It'd be great. Yeah. The fence talk about keeping rates higher for longer. I don't know. They're not going to be able to do that. They'll be cutting interest rates by next year. Mark by where? And the number one reason I say that is because when you talk to every economist, I say, that's not going to happen. And they are typically wrong. So if you take the, it's like saying betting against the casino, it's like saying, you know what? I don't think MGM is going to make money in the sporting books next year. Ma, they're going to figure out a way to make money. They'll rechange the lines, right? Well, you, all you need to do is look at it and get a bunch of economists in a room and ask them where they think the market's going to be and then do just the opposite and you would be way better. Yeah. Pretty much that's usually the way to go. No doubt about it. So the, the, the, the Pelosi, we were talking earlier about the Pelosi stock trader. Yeah. You can follow online. Now, some of these folks, we did the game show game last week. We talked about the, uh, the net worth. I picked the poor ones too. They were like 23, 21, you know, $20 million. Some of these folks are amazing. I mean, really just, you know, the wizards of smart on some of these are just really, timing is impeccable up here. This is somebody who is selling some software that I'll track it, which you can, you, you've pointed out, you can get it for free online, but, but the, the numbers are really astonishing. This Democrat Senator sold her Aspen vacation home for $25 million. That was just after she sold her Lake Tahoe vacation house for $36 million. Well, by the way, why, why do they own these big $25, $36 million homes? Well, a big, big part of it is because the taxation of it, right? So a Feinstein who's telling you your ordinary income tax rates are too low. She's shifting that to a capital asset, which is going to create a capital gain in the future or no gain. Or no gain. I mean, they're 10, 10 31. This is why when Donald Trump looked at Hillary Clinton right in the eye and said, you will not get rid of the carry interest deduction and you know it because all of your, I use it, of course, all of her bigger donors donate money to Hillary Clinton. And this is exactly the truth, right? They will never get rid of some of these things. Like they talked about, we're going to get rid of the 10 31 exchanges. Yaha. Yeah. Uh huh. Yeah. So the big developer strokes a giant check to the, to the Democrats off the table. Let's listen to her success though. Amazing. A Senator sold her Aspen vacation home for $25 million just after she sold her Lake Tahoe vacation house for $36 million. Only two years earlier, Diane Feinstein has been a member of the political scene for 32 years and her salary is only $130 ,000 per 130 grand a year. Now it's more now. That's a little bit dated, but it's up, it's up to probably 180 now. But, but listen to this. First of all, if it was up to 580, you're not buying $23 million homes, $36 million homes. No, no, we're going to put in multiple homes. We're going to, we're going to put the Paul Pelosi onto our research committee. You make a million dollars a year. First of all, most of, most business owners that make that kind of money, they didn't make it throughout their whole life, right? They didn't start making a million dollars at 20 years old. They started making a million dollars at 50 years old and it took 30 years to get to that point. Right? So my point is, you're not at a million dollars a year at age 50. If you did it the right way, the hard way, and you did it yourself, you're still not affording a $23 million home, right? Multiple ones. Yeah. Multiple, multiple. Right. Those aren't even her primary residence. Those are her vacation homes. She lives in, she lives in California. Listen to this though. And it's, it's all of them. It's all of them now. This is a, this is from Nancy Pelosi, stock trader. Uh, this is a tweet, uh, a Twitter feed. You can follow Pelosi tracker is what it's supposed to track or underline or something like that. You'll find it. Anyway, uh, three weeks ago, sitting politician bet against the U S economy so far. He's been right. Tom Carper bought $45 ,000 of PSQ and inverse ETF on the tech sector on eight 23, August 23rd. Since then he's plus 3 % while the market is negative 4%. Go figure. Wow. Go figure. Man, these guys are so good. Yeah. And they're not by, they're, I mean, these are, that's some pretty technical strategy. You started getting into options strategies and stuff. I mean, yeah. Yeah. These guys have become very, very slick. It's not just about buying a, you see, it used to be, okay, I'm going to buy X, Y, Z. Then I'm going to vote for or against something. You know, I'm going to short the stock and then I'm going to vote against them for both that, that, that. So the stock goes down or I'm going to vote for something, knowing that it will benefit the company. The stock will go up and in a sense front running. No, they're, they're in the options strategies now. They're in the market. Yeah. They're doing butterfly spreads. Yeah. Crazy stuff going. They're very sophisticated. They shouldn't be allowed to two things. When you go into Congress, I, you know, I would love to have a Congress person run on or present around the following platform, right? Number one, term limits, term limits, top of the list. Number two, though, while you're in Congress for the eight years, or wherever we allow you to serve 10 years, 12 years, whatever it is, you could not invest in a stock market at all. All your investments are frozen or your choices, a model, some kind of a model liquidated go to cash, or you could buy the fidelity balance to counter. You could buy the, you could buy the T -rope price, you know, target retire, whatever, you know, or you go to goes into a blind something or other where you have no idea. Right. It just goes into what you picked a one through five tolerance for risk and somebody else invest. Maybe it's just broad indexing. Maybe that's it. Right. Something that doesn't allow this kind of garbage to go on where, you know, they buy, you know, Tesla stock and then approve a huge, you know, oh, we're going to, guess what? We're going to build a, you know, for government funded battery stations all the country. Of course, Elon comes out and goes, we already got those, you idiots. I did that like four years ago, you morons. Amazing what Elon can do and what the, what the government can. Going back to target for just a second, not to digress, but I found WGRZ, thankfully came up with a list of the, uh, the target stores that will be closing, Mike, the full list of locations all in, all in Republican run. You'll be shocked. Yeah. Yeah. Right in the, uh, the thriving, the, uh, you know, thriving, the Minneapolis, uh, location, the retailer said the decision, the close was really difficult. I wonder if that was after half. That was the one they put the BLM on. Yeah. Oh, that was the one they put the sign on that said, please don't burn our store down. We love you. I hashtag BLM lit it on fire. Yeah, that's right. Yeah. Uh, let's see. I'm shocked though. I wouldn't, I'm surprised you wouldn't stay. I mean, you know, like just collecting, you love them. You love, you support them. This is what you supported. Remember you, you, you raised money, you gave money. Yeah. And guess what they did with that money. They agitators hired to whip up people in the community to smash and burn down your store. You idiots. So there you go. There you go. Nice, nice work. What else do you think, Mike? Uh, New York city's East Harlem neighborhood. That's going to be one that's goes down. I wonder why. Chicago, San Francisco for sure. San Fran. Yeah. San Fran. Uh, by the way, before I forget San Fran, Democrat San Francisco mayor, announces plan to require drug testing, which is good in an effort to, if you're going to receive homeless benefits. Right. But the funny thing was in this same passage, they're going to Texas to try to recruit police officers. The funny thing is is that the people they sent from San Francisco to try to recruit people. They didn't come back. They defected like North Koreans. Some of them got jobs. They get over the wall. They come out, they get over the wall. It was hilarious. No, they didn't go back. Well, the other five stores, Mike, three in Portland, Oregon and two in Seattle, five, three in Portland. They're pulling out of Portland together. All of these inner cities folks will be food deserts. You're going to hear that term. It'll be business deserts. It'll be nothing. Well, business deserts, nothing left, but there'll be, but target, don't forget target. Does target sell food? Yeah. Well, yeah. They sell food. Yeah. For sure. Yeah. Well, I don't go on target. So Walmart I know does Costco for sure. Costco is a food store. I don't think target is as big as Walmart as far as like fresh fruit, but definitely frozen food, all that kind of stuff. You know, aisles of pop and water and chips and right, right, right. And all that kind of stuff. But you can definitely frozen food. You can buy bulk frozen food there. So, so there's going to be food deserts, all over the place, business deserts, whatever you want to call them. You know, it's amazing because you know, the, there's no policing. And the sad thing is that is the problem. It's not, there's no policing. I shouldn't say that. Excuse me. No, you're policing your asses off. I get it. There's no ability. There's no prosecution. There's no bill. You guys are arresting people, putting them in and they go right back on the street. They're getting, they're getting appearance tickets. It's a joke. Your point is no, there is no policing anymore because of the system, the Democrats put together where the police officers aren't going to bother. If you're a police officer and you know that somebody is going to be this, this carjacking or whatever is robbery. And you know that there's a potential, you're going to get an altercation where you're in New York state. There's two police officers that have been brought up on charges recently with almost a hundred percent chance that if you do catch that person, that person will be right back. Yeah. A hundred percent. Why would you bother? Why would you bother? You're not going to put your life in line. No way. You want to go home to see your wife and kids too, and your mother or your husband or whatever. You want to be able to spend your Christmas with your family. Why would you do that? And they know that, right? The Democrats know that. This is, you can't be this stupid. I mean, who allows these people to go right back on the streets and say, this is a good idea without correcting this right away. You can say, okay, bail reform. Our intentions were one thing, but when you look at the fact that in New York state, we are now breaking records in towns like Rochester and Buffalo for the most amount of vehicles being stolen. We can say, okay, look at bail reform, put it in place. It clearly did not work. It's been a total disaster. These towns have turned to shit. We absolutely need to go back in the other direction. They're not doing that. They don't care. They want to, and they're doubling down, tripling down on it, tripling down. We invited this liberal on, you actually were on the show with him and he said, things are actually safer since bail reform. That's what his argument was. His argument was, and by the way, his argument was if we have even less police officers, cities like Buffalo will get safer. Well the thought was less police officers, less arrests. Less arrests means less crime. Dude, you got the whole thing backwards, bro. And not only that, but now we know that, right? Now we know, now you can, I mean, literally auto thefts are up 360 % in Rochester. They're not up 3%. You can say, well, you know, in Buffalo and we're in second place. And they can't play, they can't play in COVID. They're trying to like, well, it was a lockdown. People were at pent up, whatever. Remember that was the, that was the reason for the rioting and the ballooning and burning like, well, people had a lot of pent up. We probably should have locked them down. That was a little bit of the reason for the increase in suicides. You guys, you guys increased suicides because you locked kids in their homes, but it wasn't the reason that they went and decided to steal Nike sneakers from a footlocker. So check this out. Speaking of COVID, this is huge. This is, I don't know if you saw this or not, but this is absolutely ginormously huge. Dr. Fauci was smuggled into CIA headquarters without a record of entry where he participated in the analysis to influence the agency's COVID -19 investigation according to the house select subcommittee on the coronavirus pandemic. Did he need to do much with these left -wing CIA agents? Probably not. No, no, no. That's what they're smuggling him in for. Well they smuggled him in because they didn't want anybody to know that he was part of the PSYOP operation, which was hydroxychloric. By the way, the I think it was a Mayo clinic and some other hospitals now have come out as well as the CDC and said hydroxychloroquine, yes, indeed is an effective treatment for COVID. Oh, by the way, ivermectin also an effective treatment. The CDC now approving that. Now mind you, we're going to keep in mind that if there was any other treatments that couldn't get the emergency use authorization for these vaccines that clearly don't work. Amazingly, I'm still seeing people online go signing off my sixth booster on our way for the sixth shot, proud to get our sixth shot. How about how about one the other day, local left -wing nut job got her sixth booster shot, six shot and she still got COVID and then she said, well, I was so good hiding and it got all my shots and then I went to a concert and I got it at this concert. Well, first of all, you don't know that, but second of all, if you have six shots and you six shots and you still got COVID and you actually think that was a good idea, you don't need a vaccination. You need a mental, you need a mental check. I tell you, I know people during the during the COVID, the height of the COVID that were older, some of our clients actually that were prescribed by a doctor a hydroxy quirk when they were taking it once a week as a as a preventative measure. Yeah. And they, to this day have never had COVID. Yeah. And it's, it's, I mean, so it, but the sad thing is again, you know, we couldn't, it's all about the money now. And that's, you know, when people talk about the evils of capitalism, you're seeing some of that. Now, capitalism is the best thing on the planet, right? As far as, you know, lifting the masses out of poverty and creating amazing amounts of wealth. But the problem is this isn't, this isn't capitalism. What's going on. This is cronyism is what's going on. It is, Hey, look at, I will give you these government dollars. You're going to get this patent. You're going to get this. Unholy marriage between business and government. Mark my word. We were talking about Feinstein selling 25, $30 million homes. This Fauci will be on the board of Pfizer. He'll be on the board of Moderna. He's going to get shares of those companies. He will be blessed with with with millions and millions of dollars. His family watch and see, we'll be talking if we're, if you and I are fortunate enough to be around 20, 30 years from now, we'll be talking about the Fauci trust and watch and monitor that trust and see how big that family trust. Well, you see how easy this is now. You look at how they move money around and how the in your face money laundering folks. This is what this is. This is corruption and fraud. Some of the Bidens are great at the money laundering part. They got 20 shell corporation, but guess who's getting the, guess who's going to be controlling the funding to rebuild Ukraine. We pay to destroy it. And guess what? The Hillary Clinton foundation gets paid to rebuild it. Right. And guess who's going to get the contracts to rebuild. Oh, that'll be probably one of the Biden family members or somebody else's politically connected. Right. Remember it was, it was a Joe Biden's brother who got the contract, the multi -billion dollar contract to rebuild Iraq. No building experience, never been a contractor, right? No idea. Right. This is why these projects cost 500 times what they're supposed to cost. This is why when money comes into Buffalo, for example, $25 million to build homes, five get built. And you were, wait a minute, five, are these $5 million homes in the East side? Each of those homes would have been built for a quarter million dollars or less. And yet where did the rest of the money go? And the, the answer is never, we don't know. We don't know. We can't account for it. Or we'd have no idea. Or I mean, how many times have we've seen that in so many places that whether right down the local level or God forbid at the federal level between, you know, Iraq and others. I was telling you last week on the radio, I was reading an article about the grants that were coming into the city of Buffalo to plant trees. And I thought, okay, wow, like this could be sweet. Okay. You know, like I'm a big tree guy. I love trees. I plant trees every year. I do think, okay, that's one way to, first of all, I think it's one way to make a community look great. When you, when you drive around, let's say North Buffalo, all the streets are all tree. They look beautiful. You drive around the East side, it looks like shit, right? So, okay. You're going to take some of my tax money and you're going to directly plant trees. Okay. It's a win for the environment. It looks nice. It's going to bring things together. I'm like, well, where's the catch? This is a government agency. Where are they going to screw it up? You read through and you find out that they're paying $1 ,000 a tree. Now you and I both know that if they're saying it's $1 ,000 a tree, by the time it's done, it'll be two to $3 ,000 a tree. Now you, you're talking about $13 million worth of trees. You and I just planted trees. Every year we plant a few trees around our office, you know, three, four in the spring, three, four in the fall, just so they can start to grow and work their way in. And then, you know, plant more. We pay $250 a tree, plant it. Right.

You know, if you're a news and political junkie, you kind of like seeing ads that run during a big event like tonight's debate. Emily Seidel is about to join us. She's the CEO for Americans for Prosperity. In fact, let's bring her into the conversation now. Emily, it's great having you on the program. Great to see you. And I'm so impressed by the work that Americans for Prosperity is doing on behalf of Americans who are struggling with Bidenomics. We all know that, frankly, the economy, inflation, that's what ought to be front and center tonight. And to that end, AFP is going to run an ad that's going to air, I believe, during the debate or around the debate, certainly on Fox Business Network and Fox News Channel. Let's share the Americans for Prosperity ad with everybody as we kick off our conversation. Ronald Reagan used to ask, Are you better off today than you were before? Sadly, for most Americans, the answer is no. We know that because at Americans for Prosperity, we talk with them every day. Binomics is crushing us. I can't keep up with the rising class of America. This country is on the wrong track. We can do better. But we must focus on solving the issues that matter most. With new leadership and fresh ideas, we can reignite the American dream. You know, Emily, that's such a powerful message because it's what Americans need to hear. I think it's what Americans are craving somebody to give a solution to this economic mess that we are in. And thanks to this grassroots effort on Americans for Prosperity's part, more and more people are focused like a laser on how to get the job done. So first of all, kudos to the great work that AFP is doing in that front. Well, thank you very much. And thanks for having me on. I agree that it's what Americans need to hear. It's also what we're hearing from Americans. We've been knocking on the country. And with that ad, we just wanted to share back what we're hearing from them in a way that hopefully calls on candidates on the debate stage tonight and lawmakers in Washington right now to focus on these issues, the issues that we're hearing matter most to Americans right now, and actually step forward with some solutions. That's what people are looking for. I've invited our audience to support Americans for Prosperity because your grassroots efforts are as impressive as anything I've ever seen. So far, Americans for Prosperity has talked to 4 .6 million voters through phone calls or just good old -fashioned door knocks. What's the message that your folks are hearing from all of those millions of Americans that you're connecting with? Well, it's pretty impressive. 55 % of the people that we've spoken to so far name inflation as their top issue. And we've never seen that kind of focus on a specific issue at this point in a cycle. No other issue. I mean, there are a lot of other really important issues out there, but no other issue is even cracking the 10 % mark. And so that tells you something, the economic Biden agenda is crushing families across the country. And that's what we're hearing far and away the most at the doors and on the phones. You know, I'm going to throw a curveball at you because you've been at this a long time. You've spent really decades working in policy and politics. I've been at this a long time as well as a broadcaster. I've never seen anything like this in terms of what appears to be the intentional destruction of our economy. And I want to pick your brain for a moment. Emily, I want to see if you agree with me that this does not seem to be accidental. Is it a stretch to say that these awful policies that are crushing small business owners, that are hurting farmers, that are hurting the middle class, do you think these are well -intentioned but misguided policies? Or is it indeed intentional damage? I mean, that's a great question. I like to hope that people run for public office to try to serve their communities and just make bad choices sometimes. But at this point, you really need to start asking. I mean, as we're talking to folks across the country, for instance, there's a 71 -year old man that we just talked to in Colorado who's retired, who has to come out of retirement to continue to be able to live, support his wife and his niece who lives with him. We had a grocery store event in Wisconsin where we were giving out $25 gift cards to the grocery store as we were talking to people about the cost of all of this rampant government spending that's been driving inflation and what they can do about it, what their voices can do to try to drive change in the public policy arena. And one woman said that because of that $25 gift card, she didn't have to choose between a portion of her grocery list and diapers for the week for her family. I think that's the most important thing. And I think that's very, very important to the people of the country and they're very frustrated. No, and that frustration, I hear it every single day on the show as well. Emily Seidel, who's the CEO of Americans for Prosperity, is visiting with us here on The Mike Gallagher Show. You can go to americansforprosperity .org and support this very impressive organization that is moving the needle. A lot of Americans know what matters. I like to talk, I use the late great Charles Krauthammer's book title often on my show, Things That Matter. Buying diapers matters. How to pay for the groceries matters. There's going to be a lot tonight, and Americans for Prosperity matters, so go to americansforprosperity .org to support this very important organization. Emily, there's going to be a lot of distractions over the next 18 months. We're going to see all kinds of drama. There's a lot of drama about who's on the debate stage tonight, who's not on the debate stage, what's going to be talked about, what's not going to be talked about. Are you worried that those distractions are going to water down what ought to be the alternative vision that we need to get the country back on track? Are you worried that some of the drama is going to overshadow this crucial, crucial message that we have to stay on point and focus on how to get this country back on the right track economically? I don't think so, and here's why. Because we've been talking with voters across the country, and they are focused. They're focused on listening for what the candidates will do to address the top concerns that they've got. They're wondering, is this crisis of affordability of life, is this the new normal? They want to know what people are going to do to shed the problems of biodynamics and get our country back on track. And so my advice to candidates would be to recognize that those are the people that you're talking to. Don't get distracted by all of the rest of this and focus on the failure of biodynamics and your solutions as candidates for public office to get back on track. So when I invite my audience to support Americans for Prosperity by going to Americansforprosperity .org, I want to make sure we get into the nuts and bolts of what it is you do. Because from where I sit, there is no group in America that connects to the all 50 states and what Americans for Prosperity is specifically doing to grow that army and how our audience can help. So Americans for Prosperity is the largest national grassroots organization that works to advance public policy that's focused on what I talk about as the core principles of freedom and opportunity for every American. And a lot of people ask me, what does that mean to be a national grassroots organization? Well, it means we've built 36 state chapters so far, and we're growing. We've got activists, as you said, in all 50 states. And we work in communities to make sure that people's voices are heard by their lawmakers, whether that's at the state level on critical items of importance to what's happening in your state, whether it's K -12 education reform or anything else, or at the federal level and specifically looking at how we're going to get our country back on track from the failed Biden agenda. But our whole goal is to make it possible for good policy to be good politics so that we can actually get things done that reignite the American dream. And it's all about elevating the voices of Americans to the folks that they've elected to drive that change. This is what it's about. And every single day, people say to me, what can I do? How can I mean, it's one thing to complain about these destructive policies, but it's another thing to take action. Emily Seidel, it seems to me, 40 plus years I've been sitting in front of a microphone. I have never felt a stronger urge to tell everybody, you've got to get off the sidelines. You cannot be passive anymore, because frankly, the country's at stake. And I don't think that's rhetoric. I don't think that's hyperbole. Do you? No, not at all. You know, last cycle, I met this wonderful man up in Pennsylvania who said he was watching TV and he saw one of our commercials and he said, you know, I'm going to stop complaining to my friends about what's happening in our country. I'm going to get off my duff and do something about it. And he came and started knocking doors with Americans for Prosperity and AFP Action, which is a super PAC. Together, last cycle, we were in 457 races across the country. We knocked on more than 7 million doors. We reached tens of millions of voters through phone calls and emails and mail pieces. We're going to do that and more this election cycle. And no matter where you are in the country, if you want to get involved, we've got somebody that can help you get involved. Listen, to learn all about AFP, to join their army, and it is an impressive army indeed. Just go to Americansforprosperity .org, Americansforprosperity .org. Emily Seidel, thank you for spending some time joining us. And we'll be looking forward to seeing your ad tonight on the debate. I'm glad we gave our listeners and our viewers a sneak peek.

A highlight from MONEY REIMAGINED: Breaking Down Barriers to Crypto Adoption | Insights from Jan Van Eck and Matt Hougan

"You're listening to Coindesk's Money Reimagined with Michael Casey and Sheila Warren. Hello and welcome to another edition of Money Reimagined. I'm Michael Casey. Listen to us weekly on the Coindesk podcast network or wherever you get your podcasts. We would love to hear from coindesk .com. Subject line Money Reimagined. Sheila is out this week so it's me on my own but what I'm bringing to you are recordings from an interview I did earlier this month with two leaders in fund management, both of whom have significant interests in crypto. One is Jan Van Eck, the CEO of Van Eck funds and the other is Matt Hogan, chief investment officer at Bitwise Asset Management. Van Eck and Bitwise have both filed applications with for Bitcoin. The question I wanted to put to you guys, and I'll go to you first, Jan, is I've been covering this space for 10 years now. And I think we all thought there may be some tipping point moment when the world would suddenly embrace this. And certainly there's been some incredible growth, both in terms of prices and activity and development, phenomenal growth. But at the same time, it always feels like, no, it's not yet there. So what is the single most important barrier that you see toward wider adoption of crypto? Sure. Thank you. I really break it down into, are you talking about crypto as an investment, as an asset class that should be in people's portfolios, or as a technology to be adopted? And I use this example of the relational database, which was a big breakthrough in the architecture of databases 50 years ago or more. And it created a lot more productivity, almost like AI is doing with technology today. But who cares? It wasn't investable, right? It was a nice technology, but it wasn't investable. So I'll start with the investable aspect of it. And I think that since 2017, I firmly believe that Bitcoin is a store of value alternative to gold. But I also say it's sort of like an eight -year -old child. It's going through evolution and adoption, even this year, with the ordinals kind of break through for a while and sort of transaction fees being a thing in Bitcoin, right? It's evolving, it's code, it's kind of living. And I think there's a lot of investor types that haven't adopted it yet. And that's what I see kind of going forward in the future, whether it's probably frontier countries adopting it more, maybe even formally through their central banks or something like that. I think that's foreseeable. I don't see the German central bank or the central bank buying it anytime soon, but it's possible. One of my colleagues pointed out, I think you all did a survey of, sorry, this is a long answer, but yeah, Coindesk did a survey, I think, of perceptions globally of crypto and there was a big break between EM and I guess specifically it was energy usage. It being friendlier for energy usage was the majority view in the emerging markets and in the developed markets, it wasn't that, it was the opposite. So anyway, I see Bitcoin as kind of going through cycles and gradually getting more investor adoption, the ETF aside. So let me stop there and give it to my colleague, Matt. Thanks John. I agree. And I like that separation of investment case versus sort of maybe real world utility. I would add on the investment case, I think it's already there. I agree. It's a digital alternative to gold. And so the people who are holding it are using it for its use case. And I think the barrier to mainstream adoption really is the ETF. I know we'll talk about that more later, but I think if you look back at gold, it was the ETF that brought it into the mainstream. There were a few gold funds before the ETF. Van Eck ran one of the longest running, maybe the longest running, a phenomenal fund, but it really wasn't mainstream until we had an ETF. And I think that will be the tipping point. On real world use cases, if you look at like the Ethereum ecosystem, I actually think we surmounted one of the major hurdles over the last two years. I think what stopped the NFT boom and the DeFi boom was actually the rise in transaction costs as much as anything else. I think there was not enough throughput in that ecosystem to allow it to go mainstream. And I think the development of layer twos have allowed it. I think that's necessary, but not sufficient. So there's still additional barriers, there are regulatory barriers, there are design use case barriers, but I actually think that throughput question was the biggest one and we surmounted it. We just haven't seen the fruits of it because of these other steps that we need to take as well. Okay. So there's actually both of those answers, some things I want to dive into a little bit here. The first one is like this idea of it being gold. And I think in a way, I think maybe you can read from it slightly differently because Jan, you're talking, this is what its use case is, but there is still some evolution in a way that Bitcoin needs to go into. What I think is fascinating about that is like, okay, gold isn't going to evolve. It is just gold. It's in the ground, right? But there is this Bitcoin is code, but it's also a community. It's a living, breathing ecosystem of human beings, which makes it sort of unique. And so therefore, like, you know, how it evolves into being recognized for being the status. Is there an educational component to this, for example? Like, is it important that people kind of get in their heads? We can all use the digital gold analogy, but even getting there requires an understanding about why this actually does do that. Well, let me, this is Jan. I am going to pick a fight with you on the gold side because the use of gold as an investment has changed dramatically over the last 100 years. So even if you look at the history of our company, VanEck, the reason we started our first gold fund as a gold mining fund is it was illegal to own gold in 1968. So you see both Bitcoin and gold being affected not just sort of by securities regulation, but much bigger political, debates. even geopolitical But if you go back to before FDR, right, gold was the underpinning of central banks globally with the idea of trying to reduce currency volatility so that there would be more global trade and global wealth. But then they moved to basically away from the gold system. FDR did when he wanted to spend more money during World War II. Anyway, so, you know, gold has been in and out. And now more recently, central banks around the central banks because they don't trust the U .S. to hold their dollars anymore. Okay, so maybe that's a little historical quibble, but I do think that the role changes and I think it will change with Bitcoin going forward as well, just sticking to Bitcoin. It still sounds to me as if that is a discussion about the external factors, right, i .e., regulatory models, whatever, where governments stand. And all of that is maybe what the composition of what gold is and what a secure, uncorrelated investment needs to be is all contingent upon what is actually happening in that geopolitical circle. So in some respects, Matt, it gets back to your point about like, we're still sitting here waiting for the regulators to make a decision about an ETF or whatever. Yeah, I do think we are. I wanna hit one more thing on the gold thing and then I'll get to that because I think it's really important. There is this perception that gold has been the same for 5 ,000 years, completely wrong. Most people's perceptions about gold are untrue. We went off the gold standard in the early 1970s and people didn't know what gold was, right? They were figuring out what its role in the world was. Coincidentally, or maybe not coincidentally, that was the single best decade to be invested in gold. That was a phenomenal time. When stores of value move from uncertainty to established is when they accrue a lot of value. And that's what's happening in Bitcoin. I think there's some direct analogies to gold. I'd also add gold is a lot more volatile than people give it credit for. People think of it as this steady eddy. It has big swings up and down 20, 30 % a year. A store of value doesn't have to be day to day, unvolatile to be useful. It has to hold value or accrue value over long periods of time. And I think people discredit Bitcoin because they misunderstand gold a little bit. Just to add a comment on Bitcoin before we get off of that, gold shares, to your point, like Bitcoin miners fell 90 % from 2011 to their lows in 2016. I mean, you don't get worse than that, right, in terms of volatility. And that's a part of the ecosystem. It's not bullion, but still, I completely agree with you. So I just wanted to add that. I do think also, and I really want to push you, Matt, on this, that we have a global view of regulation of Bitcoin, right, because China has really taken its foot off the brake over the last year. And I think that's, you know, I call it the country the size of the United States. I think that's super important. Yeah, I think that's really important, too. I actually agree. And I think that's been going on for the last decade. It's sort of like a blanket that won't cover the whole world. And when somebody pulls it, then another government's like, oh, maybe we have an opportunity. I think that's what we saw in China with the U .S. being more restrictive, and then Hong Kong saying, well, what if we aggressively banked gold? Maybe there's an economic opportunity there. And I think it's sort of anti -fragile in that sense. Can I just punch down, maybe we're going to move to the technology side, but I just want to punch down on Bitcoin, because I think it, as an investment, is potentially relevant to everyone's portfolios here at this conference. I mean, you may not like, there are investors like Warren Buffett that will never invest in gold and would never invest in Bitcoin. But for a lot of people, the biggest risk out there, I would say, macro risk, is U .S. federal budget deficit. And I don't know of a better hedge than gold or Bitcoin. So maybe that risk doesn't come to fruition in our lifetimes, but it has got to be an alternative that people think of regardless of everything else in crypto. Yeah. Jan and I are going to keep going back and forth. I would add, it doesn't have to come to fruition for gold to be a good, for Bitcoin to be a good investment. It's an insurance against that potentiality. And if you're a wealthy individual, that's one of the biggest risks to your long term wealth and holding that insurance policy regardless of the outlook. Last thing I would add is we've come a long way. The other mistake people make when looking at Bitcoin regulation is like evaluating us today versus a year ago. If you evaluate us today versus 10 years ago, massive progress, even today versus five years ago. Look at the conversation in Congress today around crypto versus where it was two or three years ago. People need to relax a little, take the long view, and they'll probably have a better outlook for their long term investment.

A highlight from Republican Debates, Election Predictions, and Media Criticism

"At some point we have to take the economy seriously. We can't just keep printing money and sending it overseas. Welcome to another Financial Guys podcast. I'm Mike Hayflick along with my partner, Mike Speraza. We are always excited to be here, Mike. Um, we are here after the second Bill's win. Yeah. Yeah. We will, we'll keep it at that. Every time we talk very little, things go well. So let's, let's keep it at a win and big game Sunday. Miami. What should be right. A massively popular game. I mean, when they put up 70 against Denver and we, we basically, did we shut out the three points? Three, three. Okay. We held, held Washington, the Washington commanders to only three. That should be a really, really dynamite game. So. Had to change their name due to political correctness. I know, I know. And we had some conversation about that. The people I was watching the game with were reflecting on, I guess the good old days when the, the nicknames of teams just didn't seem to matter as much, but it matters now. Now they want to take down statues. You're an Iroquois guy. They're taking that name away. The chiefs because apparently saying chiefs is very, uh, politically incorrect. I mean, a leader. You can't be called the leaders anymore. Maybe it'll be the Iroquois comrades because everyone's got to just hold hands and sing Kumbaya. Yeah. And, and you know, nobody gets a gender anymore. Nobody can dominate one or the other. Even if it's a sport, there really might not even ever be winners or losers. They might not even keep score anymore in sports. Like it's just going to be for the experience of it trophy for the trophy for the trophy. Line them all up. They're all going to look exactly the same. There'll be gender neutral trophies. When will we have a they, them team name? Like the, the Washington they, thems, like when, when, I mean, I know that sounds outrageous, but that's where we're headed. Yeah, it's true. It's going to be comrades. Friends. Yeah. The friends, the Iroquois friends, the Iroquois comrades. It literally is heading that way though. Something where you go, what is, what is this sport? Like we don't even know based on the name, what the sport is. We don't even, yeah. You won't know. Like usually you could derive some more information from things like that. Oh, no, no, not anymore. No, you're going to have to dig real deep. You're going to have to show up at these events and, uh, you know, maybe wear a nice hoodie and a pair of shorts at the events. Yeah, I agree with you. And, uh, you know, maybe right after you went through the Senate chambers to vote on something, you can head and do a game with your hoodie and shorts on. Anyway, the next one, the last thing I'll say is the next one will be the Patriots. They'll be getting their name taken because that represents Donald Trump and his movement. We got to take away the name Patriot, right? That'll be the next one. There you go. You know, I just, I can't with these people anymore. It's really getting to be absurd. Yep. Totally. So, uh, Mike, let's start with this one. A second Republican debate coming this Wednesday night, September 27th, and Dana Perino, who I've always enjoyed listening to. Um, she will be joining Stuart Varney and Ilia Calderon at the Ronald Reagan library. presidential Suitable place. I love it. Yeah. And, uh, I, we were just chatting a bit before the podcast, so let's just line this up. All right. I don't know the order, but we're going to have Pence, Christie, DeSantis, Rama, Swami, uh, Doug Burgum made it Dougie Dougie. Um, who is that? Who else? I'm I've got five Nikki Haley. Thank you. And then, uh, there should be one more. Um, I did pens from, let's write this down. One more time for everybody. Pence, Rama, Swami, right? DeSantis. How do I not remember? Tim Scott, Tim Scott. Thank you. So, so seven this time, um, not Asa Hutchinson, I think you said he, he didn't make it. Didn't qualify. So, um, of course the big elephant in the room is that Donald Trump again will not be there. Just tell me your thoughts, I guess, on this next upcoming debate. Are we going to hear anything different? Is there any going to be anything that really makes people go, Whoa, this guy's really racing to the front or female. Um, if it's Nikki Haley, anyone going to race to the front after this one? I really, I mean, I think we're kind of wasting our time here and I'm not saying it as a, as a Trump voter. I'm just saying it realistically. Right. I mean, at this point, the lead is 40 to 50 points. Nobody makes up that ground than a debate, right? Like Nikki Haley had a great debate last time. She's still polling single digits. Right. I don't agree with Nikki Haley stance on a lot of things, but she, she fared well in that debate and she really didn't grow or fall behind anymore. Right. So I think that's the tough part. When we look at these debates, the Donald Trump in the 2015, 2016 campaign years, that is your like unicorn, right? Where, where you just go up there and go bananas. And then you end up, you know, taking over the field. The difference was there was no Donald Trump in that election, right? Like you had a Jeb Bush, but he wasn't the guaranteed slam dunk candidate right now. You have Donald Trump, Mike, and he is the guaranteed slammed on Canada. The only one that we thought maybe had a chance was Ron DeSantis and he has crumbled mightily, whether you like him or hate him. It's just the facts. He's, he's in trouble. Right. I mean, so what, what are we accomplishing with these debates other than kind of a, I guess I'll say wasting our time. Yeah. And I, I just, I just think it's worth breaking this down a little bit. Like what is it that people like you and I think that these others are just inferior to a guy like a Donald Trump? Like, and I'll tell you my opinion first. Mine is I just don't think they'll win. And I just feel like more and more people need to, you got to vote and expect that the conservative Republican candidate in this case wins. And I don't think any of these other people could, could actually win. I don't think they have enough, you know, experience. They don't have the fortitude that a Donald Trump has. Well, I think that that to me is, is there's two reasons why I'm voting for Donald Trump, right? Number one was I thought he had a very good four year term other than the COVID 19 issue. And I, I'm telling you right now, I say this to people all the time. If it was Ron DeSantis, if it was Donald Trump, if it was Hillary Clinton, that, that, that whole debacle was, was a disaster and there was no way you were going to look good in that debacle. I'm just telling you. Yeah. Number one, but that was a Trump fault that I have. And if I ever talked to him, I would tell him that that I do not agree with what he did with COVID. It's easy for me to say that now, but, but at the end of the day, he had a great four year term other than that, in my personal opinion. Number two is every time they've tried to knock him down at the knees, Mike, that has made me want him back more, right? The, the every time they indict him, I want him back more, right? Every time they try and silence him with gag orders, I want him back more. This is how I think a lot of conservatives are feeling. And at this point, it's kind of like, okay, is Rhonda, here's what my other point, I don't mean to keep going on, but at the end of the day is whether it's Ron, DeSantis, Vivek Ramaswamy, or Donald Trump, I'm going to use those three for a second. They will be treated the exact same way by the media, by the Democrat party. It doesn't matter who that candidate is. It doesn't matter. Right. People always say like, Oh, but, but Trump's hated. If DeSantis is a candidate, he's already taken crap from the leftist media, right? Like if he's the candidate, he's going to, it's going to be open up another can of worms. I don't think it matters. The reason why we got to go with Donald Trump is he's been there. He's been able to handle it. We know that whether you like him or not, he's handled the media and he's handled the Democrats well. And we need that experience. This is the election of our lifetime. And I will say that now, this is the election of our lifetime. We need to win. Dana Perino says, I believe the economy will feature prominently because we know that that is the biggest concern and preoccupation that is worrying Americans. And she says in many ways, in my opinion, the economy is the thread that runs through all of these other possible topics. For example, if you're concerned about crime, one of the issues is what kind of resources do you have and are you willing to use in order to help deal with that? I think she's spot on. I think when it comes to the economy, the economy sort of is the fuel and whether you then have a notion to, you know, actually shut down the border, improve childcare, improve education, then the, the economy obviously is the main thread that actually everything else seems to branch off of. If you have a lot of people working, for instance, you're going to have a thriving economy because supply and demand is going to balance out. You're going to have lots of products and services to offer and a lot of people can afford these things. Right. So, uh, I, I agree with her. Plus it is Fox business that's hosting the event. So might lean a little bit more toward economics. Yeah, I think it should. I agree with you. I mean, at some point we have to take the economy seriously. We can't just keep printing money and sending it overseas at some point, you know, and I say, I've said this to you, Mike before, going to get groceries now at times, like they ring all the stuff up and I'm like, Holy crap. I bought, I have a cat. I bought five cans of cat food. They're, they're the size of like a lacrosse ball, not even. And it's like $5 for five cans. I'm like this, this thing costs more than my kids at this point. This cat's going to be very thin. It's going to be out of crash diet. I mean, but seriously, how do people, Mike, that don't make money? And I say this in a sad way, like how do people that don't make money survive? Even going, you go to a local fast food restaurant for two people. My wife and I it's 30 bucks. I'm like, what the hell happened out here? I told that is what's going on. And that's scary. Yeah. When they have to make those kinds of hard choices. Right. Uh, all right. So, uh, let's move on. So speaking of Trump, we're talking about these other seven candidates that will be there Wednesday, this Wednesday night, nine to 11 PM in the second Republican debate, Donald Trump will not be there, but this came out like in a Washington post poll. Trump is now up 10%, uh, over a potential run against Biden, 10 % double digit. Now if you just pin Trump against Biden again, first your thoughts, and then we'll go a little deeper into this. Well, I'm not surprised. Um, I think, I think Americans are getting sick and tired of it. I think Americans are worried about our futures. I think the migrant crisis is hurting the Democrat party because you have liberal places like New York city that are waking up saying, Oh my God, we can't do this anymore. And there's like 10 ,000 migrants in New York city, not 10 million. Right. So like, like it's starting to click, I think with certain people, number one, number two, Mike, I think it's hard to hide Joe Biden's cognitive decline, right? The left can say whatever they want in the media. You just can't, when you fall over on things, when you do talk like that, I mean, they, it's a problem. It's a real problem and it's visible. Um, do I trust these polls? Yes and no. I think, if I think America is as smart as I think they would, the polls should be probably higher, like 30 % lead for Trump. Um, but I think the numbers that keep growing in Trump's favor, the margin of error is not that big, right? Michael, like you look at the Republican primary polls, the margin of error is not 40%, right? He's up 40%. So even if they're off by 20%, he's still up 20%. The same thing's starting to happen in these head to head polls with Biden. It started, you know, Trump down, then it was Trump even, then it was Trump three, five, now it's 10. I mean, that's a lot. Yeah. And so I want to read a little bit here. So the post ABC poll shows Biden trailing Trump by 10 percentage points at this early stage in the election cycle. This is, by the way, the Washington Post little write -up, uh, after the poll was done. Um, so this is, this is actually humorous. Although the sizable margin of Trump's lead in this survey is significantly at odds with other public polls that show the general election contest to virtual dead heat, the difference between this poll and others as well as the unusual makeup of Trump's and Biden's coalitions in the survey. So Mike, the more words, the muddier this all gets, right? It sounds like excuses coming up, right? It sounds like Kamala Harris. It really is. It's like, yeah, total word salad. Um, I just said suggested is probably an outlier, right? So, so this, this I thought was interesting. Um, Byron Byron York of the Washington examiner said the post dumped on headline news in quotes from its own poll. So basically they do a poll. They say that their poll is likely an outlier and, and he, he goes on to then say Washington Post sub heads suggests its own poll may be an outlier. That may be true, but they put no such disclaimer in headline three years ago when they published a poll of Wisconsin, right before election day in 2020, showing Biden up 17 points on Trump, 10 points more than the average of other polls at the time. That was real clear politics, president Tom Bevin. So, so funny to me, so interesting, right? Even when they try to do something where they want to take part in the polling process and inform all of us as Americans, Ooh, that's not really where we wanted to see that. That's likely an outlier folks. Yeah. Oh, Donald Trump's winning. Shit. That doesn't count. Okay. What are we going to do? Next one. Okay. These were registered voters. What are we going to do? This is 10 points. Holy shit. What are we going to say? Let's just say it's an outlier. Oh damn. That was a fake poll. Oh, those stupid polls. Yeah. I mean, and it might, I'll say this before we get onto another topic on what's, what's, you're starting to see it all come together. It's like, it's like when they see, you know, hurricanes forming in the ocean, right? We're starting to see it now. The polls are shifting to Trump. Now we have Hillary Clinton coming out saying things like, Oh yeah, who's to say Putin won't medal in the election in 2024 again, right? You have others saying like, Ooh, we got to get Trump off the ballot or people saying, let's indict Trump again for this or that let's put gag orders on him. It's all coming together. Now the new thing too, Mike is, Hmm, let's indict the Bidens and let's see if we can get, we can get a Joe Biden off the ticket. We've used him, we've abused him. Now we're getting them out of here. It's all, it's that wave in the ocean. It's that hurricane forming in the ocean. That's what's happening. And I believe that because why, why would Hillary Clinton come out and say, if you're so confident right in the 2024 election, if you're so confident and Trump's an idiot, he's never going to make it again and get rid of them. Why are you now saying, Hmm, maybe Putin will medal in the elections again. Why would you say that? Right. Right. And by the way, this is the same guy that's richer than ever because his country has been able to sell oil at a high rate since Biden's been in office. This is the same country that has had its way with the Ukraine walking in there and taking over land since Biden's been in there. Why would, why would Putin medal in the election to get in and probably in his mind, the nut job of Donald Trump back in office, it may drop a nuke on him. Why would he want Trump back in office? Ask yourself that question. Don't have to, if you have any sense at all, then you don't even have to ask that. Um, so anyway, let's see what the next number of polls start to reveal. Let's see if, let's see if polls stop coming out, Mike, right? Because once you have one that's got Trump winning by double digit, maybe they just start to say, polls are stupid. Polls are for racists. You're homophobic. If you read polls, I mean, we'll see. Or they come out with some poll from the middle of nowhere. That's like Biden up 35 points on Donald Trump. Right, right. This was from registered voters in the white house. Yes. We interviewed seven people and it was six to one, six to one. And the other one we fired, we don't even know who that was. Yeah. So, so let's go to this now. Every once in a while, Mike, I have to do this CNN, right? I go to the cnn .com site. I just got to see what they're finding note newsworthy, noteworthy, whatever you want to say. And honestly, and I've often reported this, I'm often in disbelief at what they aren't reporting. In this example though, I was like, Oh, a few stories down. Here's a story, Mike, why more women are choosing not to have kids. So right away I'm thinking, Oh my gosh, these are the most unlikable people, the most anti traditional family structure people ever. They probably don't want to have a relationship at all. They don't want to ever have true, you know, intimacy with anybody cause they just can't do it. They're just nasty. They're mostly on, you know, just awful. These lots, so many of these people. So I go on to read a little bit of this and you know, this is, this is someone named Diana Volek who, who never, who was never someone who dreamed of becoming a mother, right? And these are just some of the reasons given. They don't want the responsibility of being a parent. They fear a lack of support. They like their life as it is. They're still judged for being child free. So so even when they don't choose to have children, right? So I'm like looking at this and then suddenly I go, wait a second. This was published at midnight, uh, basically Sunday or Monday, you know, September 25th. That's that's now as we record editor's note, this story was originally published in August, 2021. Some details such as the ages of those interviewed remain the same as they were when the story first published. So you're telling me right away, I thought, is the Hollywood writers strike? Is it bleeding into CNN now? Cause there aren't enough stories. There aren't enough people to write like modern stories. There's not enough news. They had to pull a story from two years ago to talk about why many women are deciding not to have kids. Like how pathetic is that? How pathetic. This new trend too, of like, it's cool to just say, screw it. I don't want to have a family is the weirdest thing ever. And then we wonder why these people are miserable, right? I mean, again, is parenting easy? I'm a new parent. Mike, you know that you, you parented two girls for, you know, they're what? 25, 22, right? So you've had, you've had 25 years of parenting experience. I've had, you know, almost a year. It's the most enjoyable thing ever. Right? I mean you're finally, it's good not to be selfish. It's good to take care of somebody else and love somebody else. Right. And I'm not saying you don't love your spouse, but your spouse is an adult relationship. You have to have a relationship with a baby, which turns into a toddler, which turns into an adolescent, a young adult like that. There's nothing more special than that. You should want that. Instead it's like, Oh, kids are stupid. I'm going to be so rich. Really weigh me down. Yeah, yeah, sure. Okay. They're going to weigh me down. I want my independence. I don't want to be responsible to another human being. I've got myself to worry about and treat and, and you know, I don't know, a door like I get like, that's fine. I want to see the next story though be why many women are deciding that having a child is rewarding. It can become a very loving, you know, yes, you have to be responsible. Like it just was so gross to me like that. And two years ago, this isn't even news. This is like, Oh my gosh, we got to fill these headlines. What do we get out? Pull that one again. We don't like kids. We don't want anyone, you know, raising children, my God for, you know, I'll say this though, Mike and all seriousness too. Like, yes. Is, is it fun being a college degenerate and booze and all the time and having a blast? Sure it is. We all did it right. I mean, yes, of course it's a fun thing. Is it fun to not care if you can go to bed at 2am or 5am or 5pm? Sure. That's great. But at some point you have to mature as an adult, take your job seriously, take your family seriously and care about things like I always say this, Mike, and this is something I've brought up a million times. Think about being, you know, if you want it, like if you didn't want to have kids, I'm not saying people that can't have kids cause I feel for them. But if you, if you didn't want children, cause you didn't want the responsibility, what do you do in your sixties and seventies with no family? Like that breaks my heart, honestly. Right? Like I, what my relationship with my parents, my wife's with her parents, like it's, it's fun, right? It's, you're a family. You get to do things together and you get to enjoy each other. Who doesn't want that? I just don't get it. Well, there's a lot of people in Washington that actually have spouses and children and grandchildren. And clearly there is not a lot of love and support going on between all of them. Because some of these people, I mean, we know who we're talking about, the Mitch McConnell's, the Joe Biden's, they would not be in front of microphones if people actually cared about them. They would not let those loved ones go through what they go through on a daily basis, unless they have no connection, no personal connection at all. Um, all right. AOC. She's almost the last story of our day, but there's one more after this. So we got a bonus. We do a bonus story here, breaking news. So AOC wins the hypocrisy award mic for this, uh, at least this week, maybe the year on this one decade, this is hilarious. And, um, I'll just set this up for a second. So here she was on CBS's face the nation. And, um, she was discussing president Biden's plan to visit the Michigan auto workers on Tuesday. So host of CBS's face, the nation, Margaret Brennan points out a couple of interesting facts about AOC and her selection of vehicles. So let's go ahead and play that. Yup.

A highlight from Bitcoin Bull Market Will Start When (THIS) Happens!

"Good morning, everybody. It's time to discover crypto. It's Tuesday, September 26. It's 11 .31am. Probably just a minute late, guys. You know what? I had to button up the top. I wanted to try a little bit professional. Actually, I'll tell you what the real deal is. I was going to wear a button -up, and I didn't have any zip -up jackets. And I said, why not just wear a jacket? Quit being a DJ and dress like a man for once. So I'm wearing the jacket today. We got Drew and Tim on the ones and twos. And then there's me in my normal hoodie. Ain't nothing wrong with the Federman gear. I rock the Federman gear, too. True. Yeah. Yeah, there's nothing wrong with it, guys. We're going to talk about why we think Bitcoin bull run is going to start, when it's going to start. Kelly's going to break that down. Also, we got some big, big news. The government shutdown. We're going to break down exactly what happens if the government shuts down. What gets turned off? What doesn't get turned off? Guys, this is less than a week ago. We don't think it's going to happen, but it's good to be prepared just in case. Also, we're going to talk about NASA. Do you know the NASA story? What is the NASA story? They're going to hire blockchain and then pair them with Hollywood to create the second landing on the moon coming your way very, very soon. All right. All right. Stanley Kubrick, you know, rising up like Skeletor. All right. That ought to be a good one. Also, we're going to talk some XRP news, some Microsoft stuff with Xbox and crypto. That could be potentially gigantic and also just some world global stuff. It's going to be interesting. All right. Let's, guys, make sure you are subbed to the channel if you're not already. Hey, maybe even hit that like button on that one video. If you want to check out our other channels, please do. We're always putting out great, great content. Frankie around the blockchain, BitLab Academy, The Basement, NFT alpha, last but not least. All right. Let's look at the crypto market cap here. What is going on with the crypto prices? We're going to go ahead and refresh. I want that freshest Chainlink oracle data. Looks like we're up 0 .3%. So we're up a third of a percent. The market cap is coming in above 1 trillion. We're 1 .08 trillion for the market cap. 24 -hour volume is slightly muted at $28 billion. Bitcoin dominance coming in at 47 .1. Gas is low again. Isn't as low as 11, what we saw, I believe, on Friday, but down to 23 gwei. Pretty low right there. So if you want to get in and out of some alts, now is potentially a good time. Bitcoin is down right in line with the market. The market's down 0 .3%. Bitcoin is down 0 .3%. Ethereum down 0 .1%, down 0 .2 % just for the past hour. However, BNB moving up however slightly. Also, XRP. XRP community in the chat hit that like button. You were up 0 .6%. It's time to celebrate. Also, we have, hey, Cardano's flat when Bitcoin's down. I'm just going to take that as a victory. I'm going to go ahead pat myself on the back for that one. But we are below 25 cents. Cardano coming in at 24 .4. What is up with Cardano at this 25 -cent level? Tim, you're Mr. TA. It loves being right out of quarter. Yeah, well, and before it loved being at 30 cents and then... Hey, don't remind me. And before that, it loved being at I think 50. Before that, it loved being at a dollar. I love Cardano. It's my largest altcoin bag still, and I'm not giving up that conviction of it. Now, it's setting lower highs and lower lows. What do we call that? A bear trend. I'm going to continue to hold to the call that I've made now for over a month. I believe, oh, actually, it's been like two months now. I think we're going to be seeing an 18 -cent Cardano. I called that back even as we were pumping up to 38 cents here not too long ago. I still believed that 18 cents was coming in. And if you're looking at this bear trend, lower highs, lower lows, I think it's going to happen. All right. Speaking of lower lows, a lot of people talking about the truck and how they want to back up the truck and then just buy a lot of these cheap alts. That's what I would do. That's the positive side of this. I wouldn't do weird things with it. People hear bearish price predictions or bearish prices being talked about. And their first thought is to be like, oh, no, that's not going to happen. I can't lose the money. I was like, well, you don't lose unless you sell. And also, if it goes that far, you had an amazing opportunity to buy again. So stay positive. It's a great idea. It's it. I'm rooting for Cardano to get 18 cents and Bitcoin down to 19, 900, 700. You stop that blasphemy. That's yeah. Well, we got right the blockchain. 24 cents is the floor, guys. Just be careful because it is until it isn't. And then it will be, you know, we got that little spike off 21 cents. So I expect a little bit of pressure. And then the psychological level of 20 cents if we fall below this. But I believe we would need to see Bitcoin at 2322 for that to happen. Alright, in the rest of the alt realm here, we have Dogecoin down 1%, Solana down almost 2%. Tron moving on up. Good job, Justin Sun. We have Polkadot down 1 .4%. So nothing really is moving too hard. Even Chainlink's barely moving here. Wait a minute. Did we see some in the 3 %? Law enforcement officer? No, no, no. Why is Leo token down? Hey, you know what we're talking about here. Let's talk about the big gainers though, folks. Looks like Maker is leading the way. It's not much of a pump, folks. 4 .3%. We have FRAC shares up 3 .2%. And then after that, very, very muted. It is right at 1 % for Optimism, Avalanche, and then BNB. So we're really not seeing anything jump too much here. Do you have any of these coins in the top? You have any FRACs? What is up with FRACs? Always moving. Crazy. Avalanche is the first one on that list that I have. I don't have any BNB. I have some XRP, obviously.

Stanley Kubrick Drew 1 .08 Trillion 4 .3% Friday $28 Billion Tuesday, September 26 Nasa 24 -Hour TIM 1 .4% 0 .2 % 20 Cents Justin Sun 0 .3% 47 .1 30 Cents 21 Cents 0 .1% 11 .31Am.

A highlight from Top 3 Crypto Sectors for MASSIVE Profits In 2024! (Accumulate Now)

"There are three crypto sectors which I believe are going to be the pillars of next cycle and thus I am positioning my portfolio concentrated around these three sectors. In front of you on the screen right now, you can see the historical snapshot of the market during the peak of the 2017 bull run. Take a look around, look at the top 50. How many coins here didn't end up featuring in the 2021 bull run? You've got Lisk, you've got Omizgo, you've got Stratus, BitShares, Ardor, Hyper Cash, Bytecoin etc. All these ancient relics ended up fading into oblivion come the 2021 cycle where we saw coins like Polkadot, coins like Terra, Avalanche, Solana all outperform and exhibit massive gains versus their old counterparts. So if you go into this next cycle investing in the old relics of last cycle and not addressing the current problems we have in crypto right now, I think you are in for a rude awakening come the next bull run. So instead, why not focus on the biggest problems of next cycle? Be preemptive here and start anticipating what some of the biggest upcoming trends are going to be. Then you can reverse engineer that process and start building the foundational blocks of your portfolio now setting yourself up for success in next cycle. So today I want to talk about three major verticals that I am eyeing in crypto and I'm three of the biggest sectors next cycle. I'm also going to give you coin picks from each of these sectors and give you my strategy with each individual category. Without further ado, let's get straight into the video. Now the first major sector in crypto that I think is undeniable as the driving force behind crypto's price performance and also the lifeblood of a lot of the market is simply speculation. I mean just think about it, humans are innately gamblers. The entire premise of stock market's growth over the last century has essentially been people speculating on asset prices going up in the future. Crypto is the biggest and most accessible casino in the world so when it comes to human speculation it is definitely well positioned for significant upside. Now as long as humans exist I believe that their desire to speculate will exist because humans are innately gamblers and for that reason I'm bullish on human greed. So when it comes to crypto how can you position yourself on the premise that humans will want to speculate next cycle? Well in my opinion there are really two growth verticals here when it comes to human speculation. Yes it is the most basic of the three narratives of today's video but it is also the most obvious one. Crypto's use case whether we like it or not is gambling and is speculation and for that reason you can divide this up into a gambling platforms that facilitate people's ability to speculate and two platforms like DEXs that allow people to speculate on the market specifically. So when it comes to gambling platforms I think it's undeniable like rollbit for example has been a major prominent pillar of this sector given the fact that it's been able to do over 25 million dollars of 30 -day casino revenue and as a result has burnt 5 .3 million dollars worth of rollbit tokens. This is an example of a protocol that is really primed to capture that human greed factor considering it offers a casino product, a crypto futures product and a sports revenue product. I haven't seen many other great gambling platforms in crypto launch so for today's video I think rollbit is the obvious selection here but as they start to launch and as some better products start to come out in this niche definitely gambling platforms is something I have on my horizon because as I said I'm bullish on human greed. Now if you look at rollbit's fees you can also see that comparatively it stacks up pretty well to the rest of the market with it actually generating more in the past 30 days than the blockchain Tron, the biggest DEX on Ethereum Uniswap, the Bitcoin network, it's only behind ETH and Lido in terms of revenue generation so that's a super interesting vertical. Now the other vertical in terms of capturing speculation next cycle is of course the DEXs because if you view crypto as the ultimate casino then in this world the exchanges by default become the house. Now when retail comes back volume returns, volatility returns and more importantly risk appetite returns which in my opinion it inevitably will then the DEXs and the centralized exchanges are going to be the biggest beneficiaries but due to the recent regulations surrounding centralized exchanges and due to the transformative shift we have seen over the last few months from centralized exchange trading to DEX trading I think DEXs considering this environment are going to be some of the major beneficiaries when it comes to capturing revenue from what we call the crypto casino. So I am looking to position myself in the top DEXs in the market, the top -notch products which have a clean and intuitive UI because I believe that stickiness comes from a great user experience, a diverse range of trading pairs and prompt listings of the new hottest crypto coins and products, competitive fees and strong referral programs because we know exchanges like Bybit were built around really strong referral programs and a DEX is going to need to capture that in order to fully harness its growth potential. So at the end of the day it comes down to user experience when we can get a centralized exchange like experience on a DEX then I think there is really an incentive considering crypto regulation for people to actually use these DEXs. Now what are some of the products I'm looking at? GMX clearly has been one of the leaders in this sector, it's also heavily discounted in price since its highs, this is definitely one that I've got on my list. Gains network as well is another one that I've got on my list considering the fact that it supports 64 trading pairs, they've also got forex and commodities so it's not just crypto that you can speculate on on the blockchain and there's also a bunch of other features that they offer. They give up to 150x leverage, I mean that by definition appeals to the degens, they give 250x leverage on commodities and 1000x on forex in some cases, they also support collateral deposits up to 250k and DAI is also a stablecoin supported as collateral. They also have a few interesting features like lookbacks for better execution, one click trading for a better trading experience. So in terms of current trading products that are on the market right now in the DEX form, I think G -Trade and more broadly the Gains network team are doing a really good job at pioneering this space. Now of course Gains is a partner of the show, if you do want to trade on G -Trade there is a link in the description. If you haven't yet, I think you are missing out because it's an amazing trading experience and for those that are looking for a new trading home, I think this is one of the best products on the market right now. Another DEX that I'm looking at is DYDX. These guys are going for a really novel and pretty ambitious approach to solving the DEX problem with their own chain. They did decide to leave Ethereum and launch their own chain on Cosmos, that's super bold. If it fails, it could fail spectacularly but if it pays off, it could really pay off spectacularly due to the additional composability that deploying on Cosmos gives you over deploying an EVM application. So this could be a massive success, we don't know yet but if it is, it's definitely something that I'm interested in getting exposure to. Just keep in mind that there is a big token unlock coming. I am expecting DYDX to issue some sort of big announcement to try and offset some of the sell pressure but just keep in mind that there is a bunch of sell pressure coming and you're probably going to want to DCA slowly into this one as not to take on any unnecessary risk during a bear market. Now I've got one more option for you if you're interested in this whole speculation DEX narrative and that's say network. So you don't just have to bet on the specific DEXs, you can bet on the infrastructure, the platforms that are facilitating speculation and say by default is a layer one blockchain that is specifically being built for traders because they're offering fast finality which is very important when it comes to executing trading, a twin turbo consensus mechanism which is very important for the overall performance of the network, they have a native matching engine that allows exchange teams to leverage that to build their own exchange products and also they have front running protection built into the layer one blockchain. So pretty much what you need to know is say is a blockchain built specifically for trading applications and if you want exposure to this narrative this is definitely an interesting one. Price wise it's essentially been down only since its launch but this is one that I'm looking at accumulating maybe let's say over the next six months to a year slowly accumulating to position myself in this narrative I think say is a super interesting unique bet. Okay now let's get into sector number two and that is real world assets. DeFi has a big problem right now, the interest rates across the world have increased significantly since 2021 so there's less of an incentive to stake money in DeFi yield farms. I mean back in 2021 when interest rates were essentially zero people were desperate and they were starved for yield so they were parking capital in DeFi where you could get 10 to 20 percent of your stable coins, 20 to 30 percent on your ethereum. It was amazing right? Well those days are over and now for DeFi to succeed and become sustainable it's going to need avenues to attract capital into the ecosystem and I think the number one vertical for this is real world assets so that's essentially tokenizing assets like real estate gold collectibles cars and intangible assets like equities bonds carbon credits and trade finance and bringing it on chain in the form of a token and enabling users on chain to deposit into vaults to earn yield on real life assets so if that is a property it can be divisible into a bunch of tokens offered on chain so you can essentially invest into a property instead of going through the rigmarole of investing it in real life with big barriers to entry you can take a lesser barrier to entry and divide it up into a bunch of fractions to allow people to invest and earn yield on that property on chain but bonds are another example instead of having to go through a traditional trading house and centralized entities which take huge transaction and management fees you can go straight peer -to -peer on a DeFi or crypto product which allows you to invest in things like bonds and treasury bonds so it's super interesting the real world asset space and as you can see the boston consulting group expects this space to 26x from 0 .6 trillion dollars to 16 trillion dollars by the year 2030 with their high case so their bullish case being 68 trillion dollars which is 113 x from the current market cap of real world assets so this could potentially be a whole lot of money coming into the crypto ecosystem so clearly real world assets are a massive growth vertical and this is one that i'm interested in positioning myself towards because if we do see a massive influx of tokenized assets coming on chain this could be a huge attraction for new tbl to come into the crypto market now in terms of positioning myself for real world assets there's a few ways you can do it the first way is essentially betting on individual real world asset protocols and this is probably your most direct way but it's also the riskier because even if real world assets succeed if a specific protocol fails then your investment could still go to zero the safer way but the less upside way would simply to be to invest in the blockchains the l1s the l2s that you believe in and you think are going to be home to the tokenization of assets because at the end of the day these blockchains make sequencer fees and revenue which in some cases are paid back to holders so the overall value of the chain increases however as you guys know you're not getting as much upside of course so you've kind of got to decide whether you want to go for a protocol based approach or an infrastructure based approach i like to do a little bit of both because then i can capture some of the massive upside but i can also have some safer bets to hedge against some of the protocol specific bets in terms of protocol specific players my favorite ones fracks i've talked about this a lot in the past but they're doing a lot with their v3 they've got fracks lend they're not just a real world asset protocol they've got exposure to other niches as well to hedge as well so i do like fracks as a play this is my personal favorite one in the sector make it also interesting i don't own any and i'm not planning on buying any anytime soon but this has definitely been the the leader of this narrative considering that they've been able to accrue over 600 million dollars worth of vault value thanks to their importation of treasury yields on chain so this has been a really successful one but i'm also seeing many different real estate products collectibles marketplaces and super interesting products starting to launch in the real world asset space so this is definitely one where you want to keep some capital aside and look to position yourself in this one uh over the next few months this is definitely one of the biggest growth verticals next cycle especially if we can get anywhere close to that 68 trillion dollar figure that bcg did suggest as a potential growth target by the year 2030.

A highlight from Soul Winning 101 - The 5 W's of Evangelism

"All right, hey folks, good evening. This is Daniel Karzewski coming to you live from Washington, D .C. again. Here on tonight's episode, we're gonna talk about soul winning 101, or also known as evangelism 101. And so, first of all, there's five basic questions that you have to answer, and that's the five Ws, the who, what, where, when, why. And what are we doing this for? So, number one, what is evangelism or what is soul winning? It is going out and snatching the souls out of the gates of hell, or out of the pits of hell. But furthermore, what is evangelism specifically? And it comes from the root of the Greek word angel, which also means messenger, or also known as the act of sharing the message of God's word. And that's where we get our commission and our commandment from in Matthew 28. And we're supposed to go forth and share the gospel, which means the good news with everybody, because sinners need to have their sins forgiven, and lost people need to know that they're lost, and they need to know that they can get a savior, and they know that they can get out of their wicked, wretched lives that they're living that's not taking them anywhere, especially not in eternity's sake. And then number two, why do we evangelize? Well, number one, we're commanded by God there in Matthew 28, like I just mentioned, and then also for the glory of God and the good of man, and 2 Peter 2, 9 tells us. Then where are we to go, and where are we to share it? Well, everywhere, near and far, indeed, the whole entire world, just like Acts says in chapter one, verse eight. And then, when are we supposed to do it? Anytime, anytime the Lord leads us and tells us. I think it's almost always that we've got tracks on us, and we're handing them out to everybody that we meet. We don't even know these people, but God knows them, God sees their heart, and God wants to save them. In 2 Timothy 4, verses two, that's where it tells us, anytime. And then who are we supposed to do it with, and who are we supposed to share it with? To everyone, to all, to all people in the whole entire world Mark 16, verse 15 commands us. And then, of course, there we've got some different tools in the toolbox, we've got spiritual warfare, we've got different equipment, different weaponry, and Ephesians 6 that we see putting on the whole armor of God, using prayer as a weapon, as a sword. Then we've got apologetics in 1 Peter 3 .15, be ready to answer every single man. And then we've got different techniques, we've got Jesus's example, we've got different ways to relate and create and convict and reveal to people. Then we've got one -on -one situations, we've got tracks, we've got door -to -door, we have different events and signs, public proclamation that goes out, we've got people that go out and play music and dramas and do skits on the street, in churches, whatever the case may be, there's all different types of ways to do it. And then, what's the biblical method of the gospel presentation? Well, I mean, it's just like, what would Jesus do? Ray Comfort has a great ministry called the Way of the Master, and he goes out every single Saturday, matter of fact, I've been out there with him on occasion and seen him and got to pray with him and got to watch him, and it's really just such a blessing to be able to see that man's ministry the way that he does it, and that's the same way that we're trying to do it. And if you're looking for a good example of a way to evangelize, follow Ray Comfort's way, the Way of the Master, and it's the biblical way, and it's the law in the evangelism, because you've got to get the sinner lost, oftentimes, before they can realize their need for a savior. And that's just like John 4, verses three through 30 tells us, it tells us we need to use the law in the evangelism, as opposed to some type of life enhancement where it's Christianity and getting saved and Jesus Christ on the cross, it's some good luck charm that we wear on our necklace, and that gets us saved, that couldn't be farther from the truth, and so we need to get people out of that thinking, and we need to use the law to convict people that they are sinners and that they are in need of a savior from hell and eternal damnation and hell fire and brimstone and get them to realize that heaven is so much better. I mean, we shouldn't have to scare people into heaven, but it says, just like in Jude, verses 21 through 23, that there are some that are saved by fire and some that are saved by compassion. And God tells us unto the proud man, he's gonna receive judgment and rebuke and reproof and condemnation and judgment. He's gonna receive the word of God because he's not understanding the spiritual things. He can only understand the natural things of man. But then under the humble, he receives grace and mercy, love and kindness, forgiveness, and he's willing and ready to receive, you know? And I've seen people like that on the street before. And then who is to evangelize? Who is qualified? What are the qualifications? Ephesians chapter four, verse 11 through 12, and then we've got the examples in all of scripture, Moses, Gideon, Jeremiah, Peter, James, John, Paul, and the list could go on. We could go on all night listing every single person in the Bible who was somebody that was out there evangelizing and witnessing and using God's word as a message to reach the loss for their generation. And that's what we're called to do. We're called to reach our generation for the loss. However many years that may be, I don't wanna go another day without telling somebody about Jesus. I mean, life is a vapor, and what are you gonna do? You gonna get to 80 and, oh, well now I'm gonna start working. And matter of fact, I've seen that. I've seen a 72 -year -old woman get saved, and she said, wow, I wasted 72 years of my life, and nobody wants to be like that. I sure don't wanna be like that, you know? In the 30s, thinking about, man, okay, well, what should I do for the next 40 years? Should I just waste them and see as much gain as I can get? Well, I mean, Solomon told us that all is vanity. He was chasing after the wind his whole entire life. He strived after every pleasure he could possibly get his hands on. And he said all was vanity. And the end of the preacher is to do God's word, obey his law, be righteous, and worship God and serve man. That's the end of the law. That's the end of God's word for man, is to obey him and worship him and serve others. And that's the 10 commandments. That's the whole entire word of God summed up. It'd be Jesus said it too. He said, love God with all your heart, mind, soul, body, spirit, and love your neighbor as yourself. And if we do those things, we've done all the law and the prophets, praise the Lord. And then finally, evangelism and you. There's different styles of evangelism. Everybody can evangelize in some way, shape, or form. You don't have to talk, but I remind you that Moses and Jeremiah and many other preachers and prophets said, Lord, I can't speak, I'm a small person. I mean, David started out small too and we all start out somewhere, but there's different types of serving. You can just give somebody a bottle of water and a track, whatever the case may be. Anytime we give food to the homeless, we always give them a track with it because you never know. We don't give money unless we're given to specific charity or we're given our time or we're given to a local New Testament church that's gonna gain, gather food and we're gonna go out and serve the food ourselves. And I really don't give to a lot of big charities out there because unless I know that they're extremely reputable and they're serving the Lord Jesus Christ. I mean, I know my friend Matt, he's down in Malawi, South Africa. He's doing the Lord's work there. He takes 12 disciples every three years and disciples them and sends them out as pastors. It's a perfect biblical ministry and I love it and I love supporting him because every time I send them 50 or $100, I know that's gonna feed one of their students for a month or two on end. It's gonna be wonderful. And so there's a great need for evangelists and the urgency of evangelism in today's day and age. And so that is Soul Winning 101 wrapped up. I love y 'all, God bless. Like, comment, subscribe, send us a note. We love you all, take care and God bless. We'll see you next time.

Dan Bongino: The U.S. Government Is Using Aliens to Distract You

"Is about to go down. How do I know that? Daily Mail. Is the US government preparing to announce aliens? This is the Senate's proposed UFO controlled disclosure how it would work. Folks, I got a lot to talk about today, but I want to get to this first right away. Because I have two theories on this, okay? And the two theories are actually the same different origins, okay? The government uses the UFO thing to distract us when something ugly is going to happen. So I see this article in the Daily Mail and something's going down. Do I know what it is? I have no idea. I'm just telling you, something's going down. Because think about it. Oh, but Dan, no, there really are aliens. I don't care. I mean, I care, but I don't care for this, the distraction. Think about these two scenarios. If aliens do exist and the government's known about it for decades, why would they be releasing it now? The answer is because they want to distract you from something, correct? Everybody got it? Jim, is the audience on Buzzfeed? Does that make sense? If they've had them 50 years, why release it now? If the government does not have aliens and biologics, or whatever they call them, and they keep leaking that they're going to release the alien information even though they're lying, they're doing it to distract you.

A highlight from 5 BIGGEST Opportunities In Crypto THIS WEEK! (I'm Taking These Trades)

"In today's show we're going to talk about the five most interesting plays of the week, three of which I am actually taking. We have short setups, long setups in what is said to be a pretty interesting week for altcoin specifically and that's why I'm bringing to you my favorite setups of the week and also some of the most interesting coins that have altcoin specific catalysts. So if you do enjoy these watchlist shows every single Monday to prepare you for the week make sure to smash the like button and let me know in the comments below you do enjoy them and we will keep this going as a regular series. All right, kicking off with coin number one, we're going to be boring. We're going to talk about Bitcoin. Of course, it's not an altcoin, but it is in a pretty interesting zone right now, hovering above the key horizontal support level at the 25 -3 zone on the weekly. Bitcoin though, important to note, is still below the 200 MA on the weekly, which is typically a bearish indicator for Bitcoin. We know previous times that this level has acted as a major level of support and resistance. also So the 200 weekly moving average is super important and also the 200 moving average on the daily as well. So just keeping my eye on how Bitcoin reacts here, clearly 25k is that key level, but it doesn't look great for Bitcoin. Momentum in my opinion is still to the downside and the more we test that support the higher chance it does have of breaking, not being too bearish necessarily, but just urging you guys like a little bit of caution as long as we are below the 200 MA on the weekly. Let's get into the first altcoin of the video though in light of that, and that is Chainlink. So Chainlink is one that's actually performed really well this week in the lead up to their Smartcon. Their Smartcon 2023 is essentially a conference where developers and speakers all meet together and talk about the future of the industry, but specifically Chainlink. And we see there are many major speakers, the founder of Chainlink, we even have the former CEO of Google and multiple other major prominent figures across the crypto space speaking. So in the lead up to this, we've actually seen Chainlink perform really well from a price perspective. But in the graph in front of you, I do have the chart that outlines how Chainlink has performed in previous times leading into Smartcon and then leading out of Smartcon. And we can see in 2022, Chainlink actually peaked on the day of Smartcon and then gave up its gains in the following weeks. We can see in 2021, a similar thing happened. Two days before Smartcon, Chainlink peaked. And then after the conference, we saw a huge post -conference dump. Will the same pattern play out? Well, not necessarily, but I am convicted in the case leaning towards a dump post -Smartcon just given the price action that we've seen recently in line with previous data. So I'm convicted if I have to pick between longing and shorting Chainlink, but I think there is a decent short setup brewing here if it does push into the upper echelon of its range territory here on the weekly. And also, as you can see on the daily too, it's firmly within this range, actually approaching the mid -range zone. Maybe we get one last thrust into Smartcon because we know that the conference doesn't start until October 2nd. So that is still a week away. So I expect price performance probably to continue to the upside over the next few days. But then leading into the conference, if you are looking for a short, this may actually be a good one if those RSIs start to get into overheated territory just given what has happened in the past for Chainlink. So that is on my watch list, not as a long, but actually as a short, just playing the range here. We know if you take trades towards the extremity of the range, you're getting much better risk -reward. So the extremities being the upper echelon here near range high and the lower echelon here close to range low. These are your major levels that you want to take swing trades at considering since May 2022, more than a year Chainlink has been in this range. Very, very boring coin, pretty much a stable coin, but has provided great opportunities to those that have been able to long close to support and short close to resistance here. So maybe a setup starting to prime here on the short side if we continue to push upwards. Why wouldn't I long? Well, considering what's happened in previous conferences in line with the recent massive move that we've had, I think you may be longing into an area where it's going to be hard for Chainlink to push any higher. So that's that. All right, now we're going to have a bit of fun. Going to give away some money. So I'm making bold. Five users going to close my eyes actually to make sure I'm not accused of manually picking the users here. All right, I've just highlighted five people in bold. All of you guys are going to win $200. Bang, just like that. So every single person, this wallet here, this wallet here, this wallet here, here and here. If you are in bold, you are going to win $200. We're going to send it directly to your wallet. And that is because you provided liquidity on SmartX. So as you know, every single week, we are airdropping $200 to five random people that provide at least $50 worth of liquidity into SmartX across either Arbitrum, BNB, Base or Polygon. If you don't know what SmartX is, it's essentially an AMM -powered DEX, which is solving the problem of impermanent loss in crypto. A big problem to mitigate the negative effects of impermanent loss and also provide some pretty nice yield opportunities for people that are looking to earn yield on assets like Matic, like Arbitrum, like Ethereum, like BNB and all sorts of assets. USDC also, you compare with their native coin as well. So depending on what risk you want to assume, depending on which tokens you hold, you can stake it into the platform to earn some pretty nice APRs between 20 and up to 50 plus percent. And yeah, if you deposit minimum $50 liquidity and you enter your wallet address using the link in the description, you will enter the giveaway to be one of these lucky people that just won $200 on the show today. So link in the description. Good luck to everyone that is entering the competition for next week, where I will announce the next crop of five winners. And without further ado, let's get straight on with the show. The next coin I want to discuss is Arbitrum. Arbitrum is a really interesting one because they just announced their short -term initiative grant program, which is essentially a form of ecosystem stimulus. So we know when they did the airdrop, that was largely concentrated towards people that were using the Arbitrum chain, but actually now they are starting to help out the projects to incentivize them by essentially allocating some of their token supply towards the projects in the form of incentives grants. So what the projects can do is they can essentially bid for an airdrop. And if Arbitrum elects them via a DAO proposal, which is actually recently being completed, these projects will receive airdrops and then they can choose how they want to distribute those new tokens to their community. So I think that is a little bit of a catalyst to the Arbitrum ecosystem because we could see increased incentives across these platforms, which could obviously help attract some more TVL into the ecosystem. Next week, we also have Arbitrum Odyssey returning, which is also another initiative to get retail involved and you can earn rewards via that. As I said before, we've got this short -term incentive program launching with 50 million ARB, which is around $30 million being distributed to active Arbitrum protocols that apply for the grant. I think this will give the Arbitrum ecosystem a nice boost. I'm just looking at the chart here. Well, the chart looks ugly, but Arbitrum is at significantly discounted levels since it broke below this major dollar support region, which has been pretty strong support for Arbitrum since it first launched. So yes, technically Arbitrum doesn't look good price -wise, but I am maybe going to add a little bit to my bags this week. I have to decide whether I'm going to do that this week or whether I'm going to wait a couple of weeks. Nonetheless, I am definitely eyeing this as more of a spot trade, not a leverage trade because we're not at a key support level. My leverage trading scenario would probably kick in closer to this region if you do get like a confirmed reclamation. But until then, I'm definitely looking at the possibility of adding spot and that's why it makes my coins of the week, given it has a proprietary ecosystem catalyst, which comes in the form of the grants alongside heavily discounted prices heading into EIP 4844 later in the year. Another coin that's heading into EIP 44 being a layer 2 protocol is Optimism. But Optimism actually comes in as my short hedge of today's video. So you guys know in these watch lists, I don't just like to give long setups. I discussed Chainlink potentially being a short setup. Optimism as well, I think could potentially be a short hedge set up this week. What do I mean by short hedge? Well, a lot of you guys probably have relatively like long weighted portfolios, meaning like you're more long than you are net short. I mean myself, that's the case. And usually when I take longs in the market, that will put me in like a naked long position, meaning like I don't always like have a short hedge. But sometimes in markets that are looking kind of shaky, like right now when we get Bitcoin chopping and looking kind of weak, sometimes it's smart to have a hedge. So let's say you long three altcoins in a week. Sometimes it's good to pick like a specifically weak altcoin to hedge short against those other positions to get some sort of neutrality in case your trade goes wrong. Then you can kind of minimize the amount of risk you're taking. It's a strategy like all the top traders will use. And depending on your position size, you can even reach like Delta neutral territory with pair trades and all that sort of thing. But just to keep it really simple, I think Optimism has like a major unlock this week with over 3 % of the circulating supply hitting the market, $30 million worth of Optimism. The unlock event is in four days time. So this is a significantly big unlock for Optimism in what has been a pretty significant period for unlocks overall for the Optimism token. So in light of that, I mean, if you watch my video on token unlocks, search token unlocks, crypto banter, you should be able to watch that whole video. I explained what happens post major token unlocks. And typically what we see is despite peaks happening into unlocks, often the two weeks following the actual unlock date, we do see tokens tend to bleed and give up most of their gains. And if that plays out here on Optimism, then maybe we can expect like a rough couple of weeks from Optimism from a price perspective. So it's looking relatively weak. And if I look at the chart as well, we can see it put in its high here. It got rejected off this horizontal level at 1 .8 and it's made a lower high, another lower high, and looks to be rolling over again. If you start to clear these lows, then I think we could see further downside on Optimism. So those lows come in at the $1 .20 region. I'll just highlight them for you now. This level here, if you start to break below as we are now and you do confirm that breakdown, then Optimism could definitely be going lower. And for that reason, I would look at a short if we do get some sort of roll over here and a lower high start to firm up on the daily chart. But you could even look at it on the four hourly chart. Of course, you don't really want to take trades in the daily, use daily for your confluence, use one hourly, four hourly for your entries, depending on your timeframe. And yeah, Optimism definitely looking quite weak. So that is my short hedge of the week. So now let's get into a couple long scenarios because we've talked about two shorts. I've given you a long. Now let's talk about two more tokens that are more interested in longing that I am shorting. The first one is the OX token. Now for full disclosure, OpenX, the exchange, which is obviously powered by the OX token is an official show partner in today's video. I don't want you guys to get confused between the token and the partnership. I'm not paid to shield the token when I'm paid to promote the token. And I'm mentioning the token in a completely neutral light in today's video, just based on my personal thesis that has nothing to do with the partnership. Just want to make that very clear. The OX token though, the token itself, not the exchange, has, I mean, been significantly beaten down over the past few weeks. And this is because essentially a lot of users had locked up their OX tokens for three months after they bridged Flex, which was the coin Flex's exchange token over to the OpenX protocol and to stake OX tokens. And in light of that three months after they closed the bridge, you get a significant amount of unlocks because people are entering or coming out of their stake period. So when people come out of their stake period and they now have liquid OX, some people are going to choose to sell if they want to either take profits or just, you know, minimize risk on a maybe potentially oversized position that in tandem with users starting to receive their vested OX as part of the normal token distribution. We've kind of seen a lot of supply come onto the market over the last week. And this has resulted in a huge drawdown in the price from the 0 .7 region to the 0 .2 region. I mean, it's really been beaten down and I even took a loss on this cause I bought some OX and I staked it and I'm actually down on it. However, considering the staking ratio is still relatively high and there are a lot of people now going to be relocking for the long -term which reduces supply pressures. I do think that OX is starting to become a slightly more interesting look now at these heavily discounted prices if you do believe in the OpenX vision. And that vision is essentially, you know, of course, Carl Davies and Zhu Su but also betting on a protocol that's quite unique with its transparency features as well as the governance features of the platform which make it really unique for users like allowing you to, for example, stake OX and get its real -world assets in exchange for staking. So they do native airdrops. They've also been launching lots of tokens like really quickly. So they have this propensity to list tokens before any other exchange. So it's kind of like the degen exchange, I guess quite in tune with the market. And if you're betting on the redemption arc then OX does become an interesting bet. The volume on the exchange has been fairly strong $8 .5 billion trade volume since launch actually quite impressive. Average daily trade volume is around 100 mil on the seven day and or more than 100 mil on a seven day and 30 day timeframe. And actually 61 % of OX is staked and locked in the herd. So we are seeing some people after their unlock starting to actually relock OX tokens into the exchange. So look, you've got to make your own decision whether you wanna buy the token personally though not financial advice, but personally I will be adding some more to my bags and I'm gonna stake it as I staked a prior 10 ,000 OX might increase my position by let's say 30 % that would give me another 3000 OX. I'll probably go ahead and stake that. And that's my plan for the week but that's not financial advice. You don't have to do the same. And I wanna give full disclosure that OX is of course or OpenX not the OX token itself is a partner of the show. There's a link in the description to OpenX. If you do wanna check it out check out any information as well. And yeah, just thought I would mention that one because it's interesting getting a heavy discount if you do believe in the ecosystem, which I personally do. All right, let's get on to the next token. Another ecosystem I believe in and I believe in this one quite a lot. This is frack share. So I did a show last week. I think it was on real world assets and the potential. I mean, the sector is projected to grow by 26 X on the conservative side according to analysts at the Boston Consulting Group. On the more aggressive side of the spectrum they're anticipating 113 X in the real world asset sector by the year 2030. So that's seven years potentially looking at a 26 to 100 X. So this is a huge growth vertical and a massive adoption vertical for crypto really with tokenized assets coming on chain. And I'm always interested in protocols which are harnessing the potential of this. Now fracks isn't necessarily a real world asset specific protocol. They're doing a lot. They have their fracks land. They've got their fracks B3. They're launching fracks chain. They've got their stable coin. They've got a lot of stuff going on. They're essentially how I like to think of them as like a DeFi powerhouse. They're like the hand that controls DeFi, I guess. And is doing a bunch of stuff in multiple DeFi ecosystems. But if you're interested in real world asset exposure alongside a variety of other DeFi initiatives then I think fracks becomes a super interesting bet for a diversified portfolio. Now, the reason I'm talking about them in a watchlist video though, cause you know these Monday shows aren't just talking about long -term bets. Most of these are geared towards, you know the medium to short term type of trades is because fracks has its V3 actually completing its audit this week. So the fracks V3 audit means V3 is going to be on the horizon within the next few months. So that is an immediate catalyst for fracks as well as the fact that they could be getting an ARB grant because obviously their protocol is deployed across a variety of EVM chains, Arbitrum included meaning they could definitely get their hands on an Arbitrum grant, which would be another catalyst for the fracks protocol. So lots of stuff happening with the audit with the grant, with the new products that they're shipping fracks chain is also coming soon. So just lots to look forward to. And from a price action perspective it's been pretty resilient. Like we can see over the last 30 days it hasn't given up a lot of its gains. And even over the last 90 days, it has drawn down but it's only really dropped from, you know, 6 .8 to 5 .5 when a lot of other tokens have been smashed 30, 40, 50%. So yes, it's down, but it's not down as much as the rest of the market. And that tells me there's some sort of bid here for the fracks token at what is a discounted price versus a similar times last year. So fracks is an interesting one for me long -term mostly but in the short to medium term for me, this is a decent zone for me to add a little bit more fracks to my portfolio. And it's nice because it gives me DeFi exposure but it also gives me reward asset exposure. And it's a nice asset that I've just been DCA into over time. So that is a super interesting one. Let's just go through the market right now and actually look at Banta Bubbles and see if I can spot any that come to mind. Obviously I've given you a few trades in today's video but let's just see if there's anything else. Aptos actually does look interesting. It recently broke above some of the key horizontals that it was breaking down from over the past couple of months. So as a reversal trade, I definitely look into that. If I was a trader, I was even considering taking along today on it. I missed it unfortunately, but if we do get a pullback I might get into that one. So that's what I'm looking at. IMX not too interested in, let's just see on the weekly curve. Lots of stuff happening on curve but overall leans bearish with the amount of sell pressure in my opinion. FTT is a volatile one that if you're a trader you could definitely look at day trading. We know that there's lots of stuff happening with FTT given that the court case is currently underway and lots of the tokens now are changing hands and some are being sold. So it's quite interesting to see what actually happens here. We also saw some stuff happening with FTT and Binance as well. So those are kind of the coins from Banta Bubbles that I would keep my eye on. Another project to keep my eye on that's actually going to be launching soon is Serenity Shield. Now, Serenity Shield is a partner of the show that has a very interesting product launching soon. They're essentially launching a product which is referred to as the strongbox. Now, the strongbox is your ultimate security protocol for you to be able to store your assets in a decentralized, immutable and secure way. So if you want to store your assets but not have to worry about exploitation risk, not have to worry about ownership of keeping it on a centralized exchange, you can keep it in the strongbox protocol which is built purely for security to encrypt your data and encrypt your assets. But there are a couple really interesting features which they're introducing to make self -custody easier for the average user. One of them is the recover feature which enables users to have peace of mind knowing that their data is available using their recovery software without needing a hardware wallet which is available 24 -7. That's a good one because I don't know if you've ever been in this situation before but I have where I've lost a ledger and I can't find the seed phrase and I've been scrambling to redeem my assets. That's actually happened. I don't know if it's happened to you but if I had my assets in the strongbox that wouldn't have been an issue. The transfer function though I think is probably the most novel and maybe a kind of weird one to talk about since it's talking about inheritance which sometimes implies the death of yourself or potentially a family member but this does solve a massive problem in crypto and that's what happens if something happens to you. What happens to your tokens? What happens to your crypto? Are they easily accessible? Well in strongbox what you can do is you can put in a designated nominee and you can choose where your assets go if something were to happen to you to transfer your wealth down to your nominee. So it is quite interesting that they have this function inbuilt. It might be specifically attractive to adopt maybe the older generation that's actively thinking about this and they might hold bitcoin or ethereum but want those assurances and securities. They could leverage a protocol like strongbox that essentially enables them to have peace of mind over their assets and the transfer of those assets. So it's super interesting. You can see a little example of the platform in front of you. I will be using the platform on the show over the next few weeks to test it out for you but if you want to get involved right now they have a $50 ,000 search rewards pool. They recently had their token IDO, their sale to allow people to buy the token. If you want to get your hands on the token and you can do so via the airdrop all you need to do is click the link in the description and you can take part in the incentivized testnet for the strongbox dapp which is powered by the bnb chain. So all you need to do is essentially test out the application. You've got four days to do so using the link in the description and you could get an airdrop of some tokens. So not a bad one. If you just want to spend a few minutes of time there I will leave a link to this post which has a full tutorial and all the links needed in the description below and also in the comments as well to help you out. And yeah okay well that's pretty much the video. I got through it in a shorter amount of time. If you notice I'm speaking quickly it's because I want to get the info to you. We have the Bitcoin price which is currently leaning bearish but still at a major support but below the 200ma. You've got Chainlink which I'm looking at a short post conference. You've got Arbitrum which is interesting with its incentives grant. You have Optimism which I think is relatively bearish heading into a pretty significant token unlock. I just don't know if market conditions right now can absorb that amount of sell pressure. You've got Ox which I think is an interesting spot play considering a lot of the selling has now happened and we're looking forward to what hopefully is a slightly better period for the token with you know in the face of a lot of unlocks. You've got Frax Share launching their V3 and also their Frax Chain. This is one that I've been DCAing into and you've got the Serenity Shield airdrop as well. So that's the video. I'm going to see you in the next one which will be tomorrow. I really hope you enjoyed. I've actually been testing out a lot of training bots so I'm going to get back to testing out my training bots right now and I'm tweaking some strategies. That video will be coming very very soon. Very excited for that one but until then I'll see you later. Peace out.

Point number one, this is the real work time guys, make a minimum number of contacts daily. Remember that a contact is a conversation with a decision making adult about real estate. That number of contacts should equal the number of transactions you need to do this year to meet or exceed your financial goals. For example, if you need 12 deals, you must make at least 12 contacts daily. As your skills increase, that number typically shrinks. Agents with prospecting skills who have overcome their call reluctance can usually set one appointment for about every 10 contacts or so, assuming that they're making contacts with the likely to most likely to list prospects and not just doing something like circle prospecting. Now what Julie just said, I hope you guys are breaking down what she's saying. So the first thing is, if you're a real estate treasure map, you're filling a blank business plan which you get as the first level of premier coaching, once you complete that, if you determine that you need Julie's example, 12 deals in order to, you know, earn enough money to have all your financial needs once and desires fulfilled, well, then you're going to have to make that number of contacts a day. Contact is a conversation with the decision making adult where you're, you know, essentially answering their question, maybe following up to answer a question, maybe you're just having a conversation over at Orange Theory, but you're going to ask for business. Now as you become more professional and prolific, what you're going to realize is the conversations are going to have to start focusing more on actual people who actually have their hands up in their air who are actually looking to transact. Now here's the magic of all this. When you're getting started, it's what Julie said, the number of contacts equals the number of transactions you want to do, but as you start becoming a listing agent, then the number of contacts you make per day, you can adjust that to be the number of listings you need at all times as far as whatever your, again, it's all part of the real estate treasure map which you get as a part of the first level in Premier Coaching, but one of the outputs of that or one of the results of completing it is you're going to know what your number of listings you need at all times, not just transactions but the number of listings because we want to gear you guys towards being listing agents. So let's say in your marketplace, if you had five listings at all times, you know pretty much like clockwork, three of them would be in contract at once, maybe only two let's say. Well, your average commission is $10 ,000, you're making $240 ,000 a year if you have five listings at all times. So you're going to start out by making more contacts, but once you build up to your magic number of listings, then what you're going to do is the number of contacts you're going to make per day has to be at least the number of listings you need at all times to immediately exceed your goals. We take a very numerical, drilled down, common sense, practical, no BS approach to all the coaching that we provide for you guys, so hopefully this will, frankly, make things a lot more clear and easy to understand and mostly apply in your business. That's right. It actually makes it far more predictable than most of you think, right? You actually can apply numbers and make that work. But isn't ultimately what we're working on here with these guys is that they don't have to wait around for the business to come to them and I'm reading your future points. They can actually go to where the business is. Like some of you have this, really it's bad information and really bad training around the idea that you're supposed to do marketing, branding, passive email marketing, passive SMS, all this other stuff, waiting for people to call you. You consider a win when you create a lead. That is not a win. Leads have no value. Pre -qualified motivated leads have value. Stop giving yourself a win in your head psychologically when it all is just a stinking lead. That is the biggest mistake and it's frankly bad training the agents have been taught and it's not just the last 10 years, it's really the last 30. You created a contact. You didn't create a lead. Yeah. Who cares? You're building your phone book. I mean, well, a lot of these guys don't know what phone books are, but I mean... Your contact database, your CRM, you're collecting names and numbers of people. That does not necessarily mean they're going to transact with you. We said this yesterday and we say it a lot and it is true and again, it's worth repeating because it's such, I think, different information for all of you. Your goal is not to have a ton of leads. That is an enormous mistake. Your goal is to have a handful of leads. Then those leads are all pre -qualified and primarily listing leads and they're ready to list their homes. Maybe the contracts are signed. Maybe they're going to sign the contract in the next 60 days. The point is, is your goal is not to have 20, 30, 40, 50 ,000 leads. Your goal is to have a few leads, mostly even our top producing agents, less than like 15. And when Julie and I are having a lead coaching call and we ask about their leads, if they're giving us a long list of leads or they're saying, well, you know, screenshotting their database with the number of like 42 million, with the number of leads they're dripping on, no, that person is not doing their job. Well, they didn't actually understand the question if they're doing that. Right. You don't know what a lead is. A lead is a pre -qualified, ideally using our scripts, buyer or seller, ideally a seller, who you know what their motivation, you know what their timeframe is, you know what their half to sell is, you know everything about them. That's a lead. Also, they know who you are. And there are tons and tons, millions and millions of people out there that are actually able to be called pre -qualified at that level to list their homes sometime in the next 12 months or less, ideally 90 days or less. You just have to be willing to have the real conversations. Stop burying your head in the sand thinking that a massive number of leads is somehow going to cure your lack of actual skill and your unwillingness to have these actual conversations. It is critically important that you move past the belief that this is a, you know, sort of mass numbers game. It is, of course, a contact sport. That's what real estate and mall sales is. But it's a contact sport that results in you having a pre -qualified lead. Be very clear about that. Which means you have to get over your call reluctance. And point number two, in part two, is to focus on the person you're speaking to more than you're focused on your thoughts and feelings about being on the phone. You're calling to be of service. Maya Angelou famously stated, they'll forget what you said, but remember how you made them feel. So be fascinated by them. Remove the words I, me, my, and mine as much as possible to avoid making it all about you. Ask more questions and make fewer statements. Resist interrupting and sounding anxious to get to the next question. I had someone message us on Instagram that basically said that we're in conflict when we say, because we do say both things. Our highest and truest purpose in this planet is to be of service to others, and at the same time, we will occasionally say the other truth, which is everyone's primary motivation is themselves. Everybody is mostly focused on themselves. Both of those things are true, and here's how they're both true. Because I do accept the fact that everyone, if you're focused on, and everyone is naturally this way. What's in it for me? How does this make me feel? You can't really move past that, and to think or to try to guilt people and to not, it's the Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged kind of thing, right? But to have people believe that their highest and truest purpose is not primarily the betterment of themselves is complete out of alignment with how, frankly, humans are actually wired. But have you to accept the fact that the way you better yourself is by being of service to others, and then those two motivations are in alignment. You guys get it? So if your highest and truest purpose is to take care of yourself, to make your life better, to take care of your family, really, that is where your primary focus always is, whether you go down and admit it or not. Okay, that is not in conflict with what society wants you to do, which is to be of service to other people, because by being of service to other people, you actually are improving your own lot in life. You're becoming the best version of you as a real estate professional, and a real estate professional is here to be of service to other people. Hopefully you guys now understand that, that our philosophies are in perfect alignment with how a lot of you guys already naturally think. That's right. So it comes down to reminding yourself, when you're over your call reluctance and you're on a real conversation with a real person, pay attention to what they're saying. Don't just ask the script questions, listen to their answers. So Julie also said something in that, and I want you guys to think about this. She said, without using these words, she said, remove personal pronouns when you're talking to people. Why? Everyone's favorite topic is themselves, remember what I just said. Everyone wants to talk about themselves. Everyone wants to have other people show interest in them.

A highlight from Ep. 566 Deep Dive Into L2s with Industry Expert Jacobc.Eth

"All right, everybody. I hope you're having a fantastic morning, noon or night, wherever you guys are in the world. You're in the right place because we are joined with another awesome guest today on the Crypto 101 podcast. We have today joining Brendan and I. By the way, Brendan, hello. How are you doing today? Feeling great. Hey there, everyone. Feeling good. I'm stoked to introduce our guest because this is a Web3 expert, a gaming expert, all things crypto, all things blockchain. We've got JacobC .eth, the founder of Hyperplay joining us today. Jacob, how are you doing today? I'm doing great. Thank you so much for having me. Oh, man. We're excited to dive in because not every day we get to really speak to somebody who's diving into the niche that you are with Hyperplay. So we want to dive into that. Before we do, we want to get your background. And really, how did you come to be in the position that you are? Yeah, I guess like going way back, I was really attracted to early Bitcoin from a political activist worldview. It was an interest to me, but it wasn't ever something I was like seriously or like from a career perspective involved in. And I worked in Web2 tech. And when I read the Ethereum white paper and started seeing that, I got really kind of annoyingly obsessed. My coworkers would tell you. And so, you know, I went and some early grant funding DAOs. I got to join the MetaMask team. And I worked as operations there and worked on a lot of the growth and monetization strategies. And I had really seen that the biggest area of growth that MetaMask and de facto, the decentralized web we're seeing was coming from gaming use cases. But the wallet experience and the user interactions between a game and the player's wallet, there were challenges that needed to be solved. And so, I, you know, I am still advisor for MetaMask. And I still work really closely with the MetaMask team. But I started Hyperplay to solve both the wallet to game interaction problem for games and also the censorship problem. Because game developers were being forced to build very strange and bizarre user experiences in order to hack around App Store policies. And there needed to be a censorship resistant and developer loyal distribution platform that actually encouraged people to build in a way that makes sense for Web3 instead of making them terrified that their business is gonna be deplatformed. So, yeah. We launched Hyperplay in March. It's available today in early access. And we're super excited for all the games and projects that are building on top of it. Let me just start this off by saying one of the first conversations I had with Bryce was what do we think or what do I think about like Web3 and gaming because that is really my niche. And I'm super stoked to be able to just talk about this with you today because this is really kind of hitting home. So, you have this big experience. Brandon's a big gamer if you couldn't tell. Oh, I can. If only you could see the PC that is sitting right behind the camera. It would tell wonders as to where I stand in the scene. But no, no. Everything else aside, Jacob, you have this big extensive experience when it comes to Ethereum and Layer 2s and crypto as a whole. Why are you just now starting to get really excited about Web3? Like what has you excited to really kind of dig deeper and invest a little bit of extra time and resources into Web3 now? Well, I've definitely been involved in Web3 for a while. So, I'll just say I think that blockchains are about more than... I think a lot of people see this as the next thing or something and that they're going to get rich or something. For me, I think that this is a tech that was built to make people more free, to help people to build and structure human social interaction and human collaboration in a way that we want it to be structured. And I think that what's so exciting about Ethereum is its composability and its interoperability. And so, the composability allows us to structure our social interactions in the ways that we think make the most sense. And the interoperability, the early vision of the internet was a more interconnected world. And then we got a bunch of silos based on surveillance. And today, by building the internet around interoperable rails and giving the internet a financial and transactional layer, it allows us to build ethical business models that ultimately distribute more ownership and power to the people who participate in these systems rather than for Web2 corporate monopolies. Yeah. It kind of hearkens back to in your introduction, you talked a little bit about what really got you inclined to the space was kind of like that political idea of Bitcoin as this new free money that kind of drew you in. And it's almost like what Bitcoin did to money Ethereum is doing to corporations, if you will, or it's that same level of disruption. But it's like more than corporations. It's identity, it's everything. And it reminded me of your name. I wanted to ask, a lot of people are probably like, jacobc .eth. Does this guy have a last name? People might not understand what this is. So tell us what your identity, jacobc .eth is and what does that mean to you and how did it kind of come to be? Yeah. I think that Web3 identity and Web3 reputation is super important. I think there's some larger meta conversations about how we think about identity and reputation in Web3. And certainly, there's a number of people that want sort of what I would consider a pretty dystopian form of Web3 identity that's based on like hashing people's biometric data or something like that. I think that people should be free to have one or many identities and that we need reputation -based governance. The civil problem isn't universally solvable, but we can understand the long -standing reputation of an identity, what kinds of contributions it's made, and to allow people to hold their identity and use it in a way that has reputation. So my ENS name is an example of that. But I generally think that we'll see a lot more reputation -based governance models for the protocols that people are building. And that's going to play a super important and positive role in terms of how people think about identity. Yeah. And even like when I think like with DeFi, even identity is going to come to play a huge part because there's systems that are out there. Maple is one, True Finance. There's a couple of them that use like reputation -based lending. And you could kind of have like an on -chain sort of credit score that's tied back to your ENS or your address. And I just thought that was interesting if anybody at home wants to check out those platforms. It's really cool because like you said, it's a blockchain technology that's really inclusive. For people at home who are listening, they're like, well, why do we need an on -chain credit score? I could go to a bank and I got my credit score. But if you're listening to this, you're probably privileged. And you probably do have some level of like, you could go anywhere and swipe your card, but that's not the whole world. And the whole world sometimes, if they want to get a loan or if they want to get a mortgage or whatever, they need to have identity documents, they need to have credit scores and reputations, or else they're going to get fleeced by a loan shark at 25 % rate. And so this technology does blow open the doors to financial inclusion for sure. But yeah, I definitely want to zoom in on Hyperplay and the things that you're building there. I would love for you just to describe how like a listener at Hyperplay, we've got lots of crossover between crypto lovers and gamers. And so how can somebody kind of bust into the platform and what should they expect? Yeah, so Hyperplay is a Web3 native game launcher. So if people are familiar with Steam, that's a Web2 game launcher and distribution platform. Hyperplay does the same kinds of things that Steam does. It helps you discover Web3 games, download those games, and it is also an aggregator of multiple game stores. So we have our own store, the Hyperplay store. It's got about 50 plus or minus Web3 games that are a part of it. We also aggregate the entire Epic game store. So all of your games, Web2, Web3 games that are in the Epic game store, you can actually play inside of Hyperplay. You can build on -chain representations of your gaming reputation. There's a lot of really exciting things that you can do by aggregating all of the gaming world into the decentralized web and to have an interface for that. And then any game that you launch from within Hyperplay, Hyperplay has an overlay similar to the Steam overlay. So people who've played games in Steam know that you press tab and then you see a chat window. You can see if you have a notification or achievements, Steam is going to overlay those on top of the game that you're playing, your friends requests. So Hyperplay does the same kind of overlay, but we actually are persisting your Metamask wallet into the game. So you can actually approve transactions without ever leaving the context of the game. You can sign in using your wallet instead of a native game. And we support both native or browser -based games. And we'll also be supporting other stores in the future. So we really... Our goal is from an infrastructural perspective to allow the player to carry their wallet, all of the assets inside of that wallet across every game that they play, across every game store. And really to also provide a really developer loyal platform to the builders so that they're not living in fear of being censored or deplatformed for building a Web3 game. I love that you brought up Steam as an example, because it is probably the closest thing that we have to this quasi Web3 marketplace. And I say quasi, right? Because you can trade items between players, between games. If I have something from CSGO and someone else has something from Team Fortress 2, we can make a trade for that. But we still can't trade across marketplaces. Say someone has something in Fortnite, someone has something in Valorant, League of Legends, another one of these games that's made outside of Steam, then you can't trade with them. It's cool because you can. You can trade, you can buy, you can sell. The CSGO marketplace alone is a multi -billion dollar marketplace, which is just a wild thing to say. But do you think that we can get to a place where we can have these cross -platform trades and orders going through? Because that's what I see as the end game of Web3 and gaming, is that I can trade stuff from Riot's platform and items on Riot. I can make those trades with people who have items in CSGO on Steam and so on and so forth. All right, listeners, if your business earns millions or even tens of millions of dollars of revenue, please stop what you're doing and take a close listen. "FTX collapsed this week from crypto king to criminal suspects. The less generous view is that you have committed a massive fraud. I mean, I'm deeply sorry. Saying sorry means nothing. I made a series of mistakes that seem they don't just seem dumb. They seem like the type of mistakes I could see myself having ridiculed someone else for having me. I'm Zach Guzman. You're listening to the SPF defense podcast, an exclusive coinage investigation. I've met SPF in person three times. Once when he just bought the naming rights to the Miami Heat's arena, once in the Bahamas at their huge extravaganza with Tom Brady, and once at his parents' home under house arrest, ankle bracelet included. In fact, I was the last journalist to interview him before he was sent to prison for breaking his bail agreement. I showed up to his parents' house near Stanford's campus on a Sunday and was immediately greeted by a security guard who informed me I'd have to leave all my electronics with him outside. I had interviewed Sam plenty of times, just never after being wandered down with a metal detector, and certainly never while he was under house arrest. Three hours later, Sam agreed to answer questions from the coinage community and surprisingly handed me about 50 pages of documents outlining his defense strategy, and exactly what he says led to FTX's downfall. After reading it through and realizing neither myself nor anyone at coinage is an attorney, we brought in the best person we could think of, Mark Litt, the government's lead prosecutor in his case against Bernie Madoff. This is part one of our series investigating SBF's upcoming defense. In this episode, Mark Litt provides his unique insight on the unanswered questions surrounding the relationship between SBF and Caroline Ellison, his girlfriend turned cooperating witness. You were one of the former lead prosecutors on the Bernie Madoff case, one of the biggest Ponzi schemes, not the largest Ponzi scheme in American history. When you look at that case and compare it and contrast it with what's being alleged that Sam Bankman Fried did to St. Alameda and FTX, what do you see? Here, the government is alleging among other things that promises were made to investors and promises were broken, and the promises were material. So there's a couple of charges relating to derivatives, trading fraud and conspiracy to commit that fraud. There's one I think for conspiracy to commit securities fraud and the substantive count of securities fraud. There is money laundering attached to those. So it's not a Ponzi scheme, but it's fraud. It just happens to be in a wrapper of cryptocurrency, which is novel. Well, just start on what you would do if you were Sam's attorney. Well, what I would have been doing and what I would be doing right now is developing whatever I can to cross the cooperators who are going to be critical to the prosecution. When you look at what's happening here and the fact as this goes to trial that you're going to need to convince 12 jurors that a crime was carried out, how does that element of cryptocurrency or the fact that maybe it's not as simple as an outright Ponzi scheme, what does that do to the prosecution side, defense side when you think about what's going to happen in this case? I don't think it changes it all that much. In a trial involving an equity stock or a bond, you may have to do some explanation to the jury about some of the terminology they're going to hear about. Cryptocurrency is newer. You might have to do a little bit more of that to provide context. But the case isn't about cryptocurrency. It's about, again, representations made and not kept. It's about taking money from one pocket and using it for purposes of another company in another pocket without the investor knowing that. That's not hard for a jury to understand. The defense may want to make it about cryptocurrency and go off on a tangent about the intricacies of trading and all of that, but it's not really relevant to the charges.

Success Works Best When We Define It for Ourselves

"Hi everyone and you're very welcome back to another episode of Recipes for Success with me your host, Heather Thompson. Today's episode is a little bit different, this is a solo cast episode so it will just be me and I'll be talking about how we define success. So what you can expect from these solo episodes is I'll be kind of pulling on some of the fundamental elements of success and also very much from what I've talked about with my guests in terms of how they've defined success, elements that have helped them in their success, maybe barriers or challenges to it. So it's really just kind of giving you more language, more understanding, more awareness about how you can build your own personal success because that's the really important message that I hope you're getting from the conversation so far is that success works best when we define it for ourselves. So let's start there today, like what is success, how do we define it? Well I think there's a lot of very like traditional kind of conventional stereotypes of that. I think if I was to maybe name a few it would probably be being 10 like losing weight that's often seen as success, security, you know it's particularly in Ireland in previous eras you know the secure job, the teacher, the pension, the civil service, money and so basically like the more money the better it doesn't matter how you get that money or the impact that it has and status you know titles, certain professions are seen as being you know kind of better than others whether that's law or being a doctor so they're kind of like and they're all related I suppose to the norms of society like what success is seen like and how people know really what box to put you in so if you're of a certain status, you drive a certain car then I can make an assumption I suppose about the lifestyle that you lead. What I hope you're getting from the people that I'm talking to is that you don't need to just define success that way and not that there's anything inherently wrong with any of that if that's how you choose to live your life but the important part is that you are understanding what success looks like for you and you're not living by someone else's definition and that you're doing it very consciously and very intentionally so you want to be living your life basically like you don't want to be living someone else's so what else could success be? Well I think some of the themes that we've saw in season one, health, happiness, working less, healing journeys, gratitude, connection, the sort of lifestyle that you're having, more freedom, maybe you have a house by the sea, it's all about people kind of understanding like following their dreams right like it's about people kind of understanding what it is that they want and then going after that not just kind of doing what was expected of them, what they've maybe fell into, what they decided to do you know after school which I think when you think about it like making the decision at 18 or 19 that we think we need to live by for you know the 50 years that we need to work is a little bit mad so it's kind of it's funny why you were so scared to change when actually it's probably way more logical to think that of course over your working life what you enjoy doing and what gives you fulfillment and kind of normalizing the concept of having like a second or third career

A highlight from GENC : Innovation at the Core of Marketing with Alyson Griffin, Head of Marketing at State Farm

"Gen C is the generation of the new Internet. In Gen C, the C stands for crypto, but it also stands for creators, the connected consumer and collectibles, both digital and physical with on -chain provenance. It stands for culture and characters, the ones we play in games and the companion ones that AI is building alongside us. It stands for community and digital citizenship and the new set of transparent and trustless tools being built to govern them. These are the people who were raised on a different philosophy on how they look at money, how they look at identity, how they look at privacy and how they look at the hybrid, digital and physical spaces being built all around us. And finally, how they reimagine their relationships with the communities and companies they interact with. We focus on how brands large and small are building for these audiences. Welcome to Gen C. Avery, I have to play you the new intro that I just made for Gen C. So here it goes. Edge of my seat. All right. So you might've noticed that was me not speaking English, but I am going to Portugal next week. So that was me speaking Portuguese. And how did I do that? Well, both you and I have been experimenting with, Hey, Jen's video translation software that utilizes AI to speak in multiple languages. You added an amazing piece that you put up on LinkedIn the other day. If you speaking Hindi, I don't know if you actually speak Hindi or not. Very limited. Very limited. But I just want to throw this stat out before I want to get your thoughts, which our is old friend, Mr. Beast, 50 % of the people who watch his videos don't speak English. And so what he does is hire voice actors all over the world to be the Mr. Beast in their local areas, because he knows that for him to go as global and get as many views as he needs, he has to be in language. And so what do you think about, Hey, Jen, and some of these new tools that are coming that will allow for video translation that is not only only, audio but as you and I have both been playing with, it also literally changes your mouth movements to be speaking the language that you've selected. Sam, thank you for turning me on to Hey, Jen. My first thought was that I was going to use it to connect my grandparents along because we do have a language barrier. And while I was sad to see that Telugu was not a supported language, I was like, it's okay. I'll do it in Hindi. And I sent it and they actually thought it was real because, you know, not everybody is familiar with powers of AI, especially with this sort of intonation, which is amazing. And then I started playing around with it a little bit more. And I want to call out Hey, Jen, but also 11 Labs, which is the voice translation that is powering all of this. Hey, Jen is sort of bringing that video, but 11 Labs does the audio. And we've been working on a couple of little things with 11 Labs in different capacities. I'm really impressed with what they're building. And it's critical because only 14 % of the world speaks English, yet 59 % of the world's digital content is in English. So if you're a person who doesn't speak English, much less, God forbid, is not literate, then you can't access the amazing, wonderful world of the internet that we all know today. It's a massive thing. I think it's early days. And of course, everybody rightfully so has questions on where is this data going? Who owns it? Who's storing it? Hey, Jen is an LA based company. And 11 Labs has raised from a number of investors, including Andre Sinso. We've done some diligence on them, but I think it's early days. But this technology is insanely powerful for brands, but in the immediate term for content creators. If I was a content creator, I would be using this immediately for my target languages, because it'll expand your reach so much, enable you to connect. And by the way, it's not going to be long before that's happening on demand. In real time, I mean. Yeah, absolutely. I mean, I did the same thing you did. I recorded a video that I translated into French and I sent it to my friend in Paris. And I said, I've been working on my accent. What do you think? And he gets back to me and goes, oh, like, you're really nailing the language, you're really nailing the accent. Like, you've come a long way. I don't speak French. Because the intonation is like you, right? Right, exactly. It's cloning your voice. It sounds like a white person speaking Hindi. Like, there's some things that are colloquialisms that a local person would never say, but it sounds like how you would speak Hindi if you were very good at it. Yes. I will also say what was fascinating to me was Angelique Vendette, who I also sent the video to, responded and say, okay, here's the problem. It's speaking French Canadian. It's not speaking Paris French. And then I had other friends who because I had put it up on Instagram and for the one in Spanish, I had tagged Mexico and I said, can't wait to get back to CDMX. And someone tagged me and said, no, this is speaking European Spanish. This is not speaking Latin American Spanish. So I do think there is like a lot of nuance that still needs to get worked out in it. But just the fact that I could record a 48 second video that people in Paris and people in Mexico didn't recognize that it was AI at first. I thought it was fascinating. I think you hit it exactly, which is, oh, yeah, if I was a content creator, if I was a brand marketer and I was doing shorts, I think this is a perfect way just to get more reach for your content at a 30 to 90 second level, which should be labeled as AI also. Agreed. Definitely. Cross -country transparency, 100 percent. Yeah, we'll talk about that in a second. But I do think that anyone who hasn't played with the page and video translator or there, you can now do it just by uploading a photo and snippets of your voice powered by 11, as you mentioned. So you can actually create yourself saying anything without even having to record a video at this point. You could all do it by text. So it's pretty fascinating. I'm very excited for where this stuff is going, because this is the kind of use case that I think you and I look at this and we're like, this has a very tactical, tangible opportunity. And I think the stat that you just mentioned, only 14 percent speak English, but 60 percent of the content is in English is such a big business opportunity when you really think about that. So, so relevant. Let's pivot from there to a very related topic, which is I don't know if you saw this week, but TikTok has started using AI labeling and Reddit and Reddit. Right. Exactly. For TikTok, anytime you use one of the filters that utilizes AI, now it's going to be labeled as AI. They also are doing auto detection for people who are utilizing AI software and they want anyone who is utilizing AI for their content to have a label on it. I think this is a step in the right direction. I would love all news content also to be labeled like this, because there's a lot of stuff out there. I read an obituary that was driven by AI about a basketball player who had passed away and it said the basketball player is unliving. So that was the way that AI described him being dead, was that he was unliving. And so clearly there's a lot of stuff that needs to get worked out. But from a brand perspective, from a creator perspective, I think that the idea that we should know when things are being modified feels like the right thing. But do you think that affects the creator economy in any way? I think it's similar to how we do hashtag ad, like trust or transparency is key. We just need to be transparent about using these things. I've thought that for quite a while as it relates to Instagram and TikTok filtering because people get unrealistic like body images. I mean, yes, some of this happens in like magazines and photo shoots and all of that stuff it has for a long time. But I'm all about trust or transparency and the digital ecosystem. Agreed. And I also think there's a healthy respect for knowing when someone might be utilizing a tool. It's a productivity tool. It doesn't mean it has to be less entertaining. It doesn't mean it has to be less interesting. I think our enterprise brands, though, we're still at a place where like we can't just use 11 labs like at scale right now. It's not ready yet. It's like a proof of concept. This is how it could be going. And back to what we've talked about before, it's building the muscle for when this really hits scale, we're going to be ready. Correct. And in terms of just going back to Mr. Beast, who has these 13 actors that play him around the world, he said, our team is very actively looking because it's not cheap to do that. And he said, our team is very actively looking. He thought from his perspective and when their research that it's going to be still a couple of years before we actually see it being good enough where he's comfortable. What he said, which was interesting, is they've done some AB testing where they use the voice actor and then they'll use a cloning. And he said every time he does a cloning, people are calling out that something sounds wrong and it distracts them from the content in the video, which I think for someone like him is just really important to make sure it's landing. Totally, totally agree with that. Yeah. All right. Final story before we get to an amazing guest is Crossmint and MasterCard are going deeper together. So Crossmint powered this artist portal that MasterCard released a couple of months ago. It actually brought one hundred thousand people into blockchain. It was primarily based on music and that was also powered by Crossmint. And it seems that Crossmint and MasterCard are getting in bed together even more with an eye toward small business, which I thought was kind of interesting. Just the idea of easy ways when you think of utilizing your MasterCard to pay for something and then thinking about a reward system that can be on chain, that feels like it makes a lot of sense, right? I hit my 10th time at the coffee shop. I get a little NFT that says I'm a 10 timer and maybe that gets me a free coffee later. But this feels like a very natural, easy way for blockchain and brands to get together. And I want to know if you have any thoughts about that. Yeah, well, I love Rodry and the team and of course, Raja and his amazing team at MasterCard and everything that they've done in this space. So recently connected with Raja and he was like, I'm still very bullish on Web3. And one, I love him for saying that because there's so many mixed reactions right now. And it's amazing to hear leaders who continue to invest, continue to launch programs like their startup accelerator and continue to support these sort of Web3 native businesses, massive bands of what Crossmint is doing. And I think that a partnership between a payment processor and a minting tool makes a lot of sense because you're likely going to be paying maybe not thousands of dollars, but a couple bucks for some of these things. And having that super integrated is a great fit. And shout out to MasterCard for continuing to innovate in this space. I see them. I see Visa. I see the banks really continuing to lean in and identify these enterprise use cases that can make their customers both B2C and also B2B customers lives a little bit easier. Well, we have asked Raja to be on the podcast 27 times, so we're going to continue to ask until he shows up. So, Raja, if you're listening, we're coming for you. Avery, after the break, we are going to come back with Allison Griffin from State Farm, a big brain marketing thinker, so excited to hear her perspectives on marketing, on the metaverse, on Web3, on innovation in general, because she's such a great thinker on that. So we will talk to her after the break. Sounds great.

"Milligrams of DHA per serving, Steve. Leading brand of krill oil, you're going to get 24. Excellent. 24 in the leading brand, you're going to get a 130 with krill omega 50 plus. That's why this is so incredible for the brain. This is absolutely exciting. I got to tell you though, during the last krill show that we did together, you totally shocked me, Doc. I remember this specifically. You said that on the edge of my seat, what did I say? You said. And I remember that the study showed that krill oil improves joint comfort in just 7 days. Now, if the benefits of the brain on the heart didn't perk my ears up, that certainly would. If you would touch on the study of tell us how this works. Right, right. That was a great study. In fact, that's the reason I started taking krill oil about 5, 6 years ago, pilot study double blind placebo controlled exactly what you want to see out of the journal of the American college of nutrition and participants got 300 milligrams of krill oil or placebo. Now remember, incredibly 50 plus, we're giving you even more. We're giving you 500 milligrams of krill oil. So even more potent, but the participants in this study that got the grill oil got some amazing joint benefits, Steve. Get this. And just 7 days. And you remember this from the last show, but you just 7 days. They were 28% more comfortable. That's a jaw dropper. When I read that, I immediately went out and bought my first bottle of krill oil. But after 30 days, they were 38% more comfortable. The researchers didn't stop there. They looked at flexibility of the joints. They looked at function of the joints all improved in a call this the crew oil advantage. So if you're out there and you're taking fish oil, fish oil is great. I mean, fish oil is in here. It's so important, but you're not going to get the same joint advantages just on krill. You're not going to experience this joint comfort benefit that we get specifically from the krill. And remember, incredibly 50 plus, we've jacked up the levels of the krill. 67% more. So in terms of dosage, fantastic. That's big. That is absolutely big. I was on the website and the testimonials on the acryla omega 50 plus, they're incredible. I mean, people obviously love this product. I like to share a couple of my favorites here. Sure, sure. Believer rights in. She's a female aged 45 to 54 from Georgia. She rates it 5 out of 5 stars. She writes, this has helped less grind on my knees when climbing up the steps, beneficial to my overall health, both physically and mentally, I just feel better is what she said. Also, safety Susan, age 55 to 64 from Sacramento, California, she writes to 5 out of 5 stars, I was a little worried about fishy aftertaste. However, I have not burped it even once. He goes, I like it better than regular fish oil. The capsule size is smaller and it's easy to swallow. This is big. The capsule size being smaller. And I'm really glad you picked that one out because safety Suzanne picks out a very important point there. I don't think we've really harped on this enough because people have trouble swallowing those huge horse pills. You know, those usual omega three pills, these are tiny. So this is why this is such a breakthrough. These capsules are so small and easy to swallow anybody can easily swallow them. But at the same time, we've increased the dosage of krill by 67%. We've boosted the antioxidant power, the vitamin D is in there, we supercharge the whole thing with the high omega three highly concentrated fish oil, so important for the heart. So yeah, safety Suzanne, she really nailed it there. I want to read one more. This one in front of me blessed. She's in the 55 to 64 H bracket Fort Worth Texas 5 out of 5 stars. She writes, I was experiencing brain fog. I couldn't remember things at work, felt I was slowing down mentally purity was offering a free bottle. I've been taking it for a year and I swear by it. I have experienced a difference in my brain and body, good for you blessed. You know what? I'm not surprised that these testimonials at all because again, I take this product myself, it's fabulous. My patients love the krill omega 50 plus they feel it in their joints. They feel it in their brain. They feel it in their energy, their circulation. They just feel better. That's what everybody tells me when they're going to this krill omega 50 plus. Now, doctor Neal, talked for a minute if you would about the B 12 energy melts too. This is really an exciting addition. You gave these away in our last krill show as well. And the feedback has been absolutely overwhelming. People simply love the energy, the pep, the vigor they feel when they have their B 12 levels restored with these, and now purity is going to do it again. So two free bottles here today for the listeners tell us about this. Yeah, remember, first of all, all the listeners today that pick up the phone and call we're going to get a free bottle of this krill omega 50 plus amazing, but now that B 12 energy melts, why are they here? I said the period. I said, guys, we're dealing with the 50 plus here, even people of 45, 50, 60, 70, they're having more trouble absorbing the B 12 and B 12 is critical. Do you think B 12 energy? If your energy is low and you're in your 50s or 60s, I mean, it may be a B 12 issue. B 12 helps the body to make red blood cells. We need that to carry oxygen to the

"That's so great for the circulation, heart muscle strength, platelet activity. Red blood cell fits the nation's soft and flexible so they can work their way through those little papillary. What about triglycerides that becomes so important? So this krill Omega 50 plus supports the heart and so many ways. And you know, the bottom line is we need to think about this because as we're getting a little older 50 Plus maybe mid forties, Certainly sixties and seventies. It's decision time. I mean, you know, your body is not working the way it did when you were in your thirties. Energy might not be there. You need to make a decision. Are you going to take it laying down and just let yourself get old? Or are you going to do something about it? You're going to stay physically active. Are you going to do the things you need to stay healthy? And getting these Omega threes that krill oil. The vitamin D. The accidents make such a difference. This is a game changer for anybody in that 50 plus age group. This is absolutely great information. I know that Omega threes. Talk about that, just for a second are best known for their cardiovascular benefits, And there's certainly also known as brain food. Now we've discussed this in some of the past shows. If you would touch on the brain benefits for our listeners listening out there today and tell us why you say that supplementing with Omega threes isn't just a good idea for the brain, but absolutely Cecil B. This is such an important point that you're bringing up absolutely for brain health. We must must get these Omega threes back in there. You know, when you think about omega threes, and you think about brain health and memory and mood And feeling sharp. You really want to single out the D H A component. That's the joke. Oh, sectional, kassid. You know what, Steve? Your brain is 60% fat by weight. And of that 25% 25% needs to be deep h A. You know what? I use an analogy in my practice. People understand calcium and bone health right if you don't have calcium in your diet And you don't supplement with calcium. Your bones are going to get brittle and weak. You understand that, right? Right. Exactly What happens to bones? Bones need calcium for their normal strength and structure. And it was the brain. It's the same. Ehh for normal structure will use this for one brain north, communicate with another to build out the brain to make the serotonin and dopamine. All the feel good neurotransmitters. So must must have. It must get it back in there so important. And with this krill Omega 50. Plus, we've increased the level of DHS. Because we put the concentrated omega threes in there now. With curly 50. Plus, you're going to get 130 mg of d h a preserving Steve. Wow. Leading brand of krill oil. You're going to get 24 excellent 24 of the leading brands. You're gonna get 130 with coral Omega 50. Grab onto it, And then you realize, yeah, Something's going on your feeling. That is, that's what's lacking what was lacking in my diet, and I can see, uh, just let nature take its course with what nature has to offer. And, uh, you know, battles out my diet, So you know, it's a balance of nature balance out my daughter. Right? Um, because that's what I was lacking. "Show. So call right now for your free bottle of krill, Omega 50 Plus and you're free B 12 energy melts at 1 805 100. 18 42 again. That's 1 805 118 42 Now, Doc, I've seen these ads where they say that cruel oil is 48 times stronger than fish oil. Is that true? Does that make any sense? Well, you know, obviously these that the cruel guys talking right, right, right. But you could look at it both ways. Let's get into krill in just a moment. But first, let's have the fish oil guys on the shoulder because you know you could say that the fish oil is better and stronger. But we're talking about the concentrated high omega three fish oil here, but Cause it's higher and you'll make it three the EPA and D H A. That are so important for the heart, the brain the memory mood, your eyes, your skin, your hair, your nail. So in one sense, you could say, well, the fish oils better. But in another sense, I have to hand it to the cruel guys because in terms of antioxidant power krill oil is extraordinary. And it's because there's a molecule and cruel oil that's naturally occurring called asters. Hanson and asked his aunt and Steve, this is one of the most powerful antioxidants we've ever Discovered Steve by one measure of antioxidant activity at 6000 times stronger than vitamin C So amazing that the oxidant power in the krill and now as we're getting older 50 plus others like myself on 52 we don't make as many antioxidants naturally are antioxidant systems are kind of slowing down. And at the same time we're producing more free radicals. Naturally, this is why we call it krill. Omega 50, plus extra antioxidant Tower. An extra krill. Remember Bob? 500 mg of cruel instead of 367% more plus the vitamin D so important for us, and this is just incredible value. I have folks. They were going out and they were getting the krill separately. And the fish oil separately. The antioxidant you can spend 75 bucks doing that. No kidding. You're getting it also free today. This is the best of both worlds just combination product with the cruel and the fish oil. It's not one being better than the other. They're both great. And this is the best of both worlds, You know, Thank God for purity products. I'm serious seriously, because when you think about where our food supply is gone, and where we are today, we have to have something that allows us to feel better as we age to age gracefully. It's amazing to me is we talk? That's why I love the way that purity gives away the free bottles because you know people can be skeptical. Should be skeptical. But now they can be skeptical. And they say, Okay, you know what? This sounds pretty important. I'm going to give this a go. It's only gonna cost me 69. The five and they get it and they try it out and what they start to see because it doesn't take long. Remember that joint study seven days 28% more comfortable. What they start to see is Hey, I'm more comfortable. I feel better. They noticed their energy is better than they realized. Hey, you know what? This is important and they tell their friends and they tell their relatives and they tell their loved ones and purity has been doing business this way for I don't know, 20 years now and you know this is a great testimonial by Gracie five Out of five stars, she writes. "That 50 plus age group dot This is absolutely great information. I know that Omega threes are best known for their cardiovascular benefits, And there's certainly also known as brain food. Now we've discussed this in some of the past shows if you would touch on the brain benefits for our listeners listening out there today and tell us why you say that. Supplementing with Omega threes isn't just a good idea for the brain, but absolute necessity. Oh, this is such an important point that you're bringing up absolutely for brain health. We must must get these Omega threes back in there. You know, when you think about omega threes, and you think about brain health and memory and mood and feelings sharp. You really want to single out the D H A component. That's the dough co hexindo like acid. You know what, Steve? Your brain is 60% fat. I wait and of that 25%. 25% needs to be d h A. You know what? I use an analogy. In my practice. People understand calcium and bone health right. If you don't have calcium in your diet, and you don't supplement with calcium, your bones are going to get brittle and weak. That's what happens to bones. Bones need calcium for their normal strength and structure. Now it was the brain. It's the same D h A. For normal structure. We use this for one brain nor and to communicate with another to build out the brain. The serotonin dopamine, all the feel good, narrow. Transmitter. So must must have. It must get it back in there so important. And with this krill, Omega 50. Plus, we've increased the level of DHS because we put the concentrated omega threes in there Now with Carla 50. Plus, you're gonna get 130 mg of dhkp preserving Steve leading brand of cruel oil. You're going to get 24. Excellent 24 in the leading brands. You get 130 with Cruella 50. Plus, that's why this is so incredible for the brain. This is absolutely exciting. I got to tell you, though, during the last krill show that we did together you totally shocked me, Doc. Remember? Remember this specifically, You said, tell me I'm very on the edge of my seat. What did I say? You said, And I remember that the studies show that curl oil improves joint comfort in just seven days. Now, if the benefits of the brain and the heart didn't perked my ears up that certainly would. If you won't touch on the study and tell us how this works, right? Right. Those are great study. In fact, that's the reason I started taking cruel oil about 56 years ago. Pilot study double Blind Placebo controlled exactly what you want to see out of the Journal of the American College of Nutrition Participants got 300 mg of curl oil or placebo. Now, remember Krill, Omega 50. Plus, we're giving you even more. We're giving you 500 MG of cruel, also even more potent. But the participants in the study that got the krill oil got some amazing joint benefit, Steve Get this in just seven days. And you remember this from the last show, but just seven days they were 28% more comfortable. That's a George dropper. When I read that I immediately went out and bought my first bottle of crude oil. But after 30 days, they were 38% more comfortable. The researchers didn't stop there. They looked at flexibility of the joints. People got to stick with it, And you know some people who might feel it right away. Or some people might just like me. Take three or four months to grab onto it. And then you realize, yeah, Something's going on here where I'm feeling better. "Would tell me every time should date coming. Judy, you look younger than you did the last time I saw you, so I believe in it, and I love it. It's good. I can feel it. I'm a happy guy with my recovery is a lot better. So that's one thing I've noticed if it Well, it took three or four months. People got to stick with it, and you know some people who might feel it right away. Or some people might just like me. Take three or four months to grab onto it. And then you realize, yeah, Something's going on here where I'm feeling better. That's what lacked what was lacking in my diet, and I could see just let nature take its course with What they dress the offer, and and, uh, you know, balance out my diet. So you know it's a balance in nature balance out my diet, because that's what I was lacking in and I'm gonna I'm sticking with the brother. Well, I saw results that people have told me it's a miracle. Am in football. I tore both knees right one worse than the left. So approximately 50 50 plus years. They've been getting worse and I was at the point of going in and getting knee replacement. And I've been putting it off for 20 years. And with a cold and everything going on, I thought well. Anything healthy is better than nothing. So that's really why I got it. Was just the boost the immune system. Well, about a week after I started taking it. Many started feeling better. I'm probably walking within 80% of normal. Where I was probably 10. God's honest truth. People have seen me say, Did you go get those gel injections or what? I said, no, that's the only thing I've changed. And I mean, it's unbelievable, my doctor. He got out of bed for your age not to be on any medications, and he said, Whatever you doing, keep doing it. And Mom used to get pneumonia every year. Well, that's not happening right now, and she's got energy and she's she's doing fine. And I'm trying to get her to use the spice Maura's well, because it does help with inflammation on me with my knuckle in my right hand on my index finger. I had a hard time being able to, like, grab onto things and hold on to things because it was pain involved. That pain is gone, So I'm very grateful for this product. "That's so great for the circulation, heart, muscle strength, platelet activity, red blood cells that stay nice and soft and flexible. So they're gonna work it way through those little capital Aires. What about tribe Lyssarides that becomes so important? So Discriminated. 50 Plus supports the heart in so many ways, And you know the bottom line is we need to think about this because as we're getting a little older 50 plus maybe mid forties, certainly sixties and seventies. It's decision time. I mean, you know, your body is not working the way it did when you were in your thirties. Energy might not be there. You need to make a decision or you gonna take it laying down and just let yourself get old or are you gonna do something about it? You're going to stay physically active. If you're gonna do the things you need to stay healthy and getting these Omega threes that krill oil, the vitamin D. The antioxidants makes such a difference. This is a game changer for anybody And that 50 plus age group. This is absolutely great information. I know that Omega threes are best. Known for their cardiovascular benefits, and there's certainly also known as brain food. Now we discussed this in some of the past shows If you would touch on the brain benefits for our listeners listening out there today and tell us why you say that supplementing with Omega threes isn't just a good idea for the brain, but absolute necessity. Oh, this is such an important point that you're bringing up absolutely for brain health. We must must get these Omega threes back in there. You know, when you think about omega threes, and you think about brain health and memory and mood and feeling sharp. You really want to single out the D H A component. That's the joke. Oh, Texan, telecast it. You know what, Steve? Your brain is 60% fat by weight. And of that 25% 25% needs to be deep h A. You know what? I use an analogy of my practice. People understand calcium and bone health right if you don't have calcium in your diet You don't supplement with calcium, your bones. We're going to get brittle and weak. You understand that, right? Right. Exactly What happens to bones? Bones? You need calcium for the normal strength and structure with the brain. It's the same dhe for normal structure. We use this for one brain north communicate with another to build out the brain. The serotonin and dopamine old feel good neurotransmitters. So must must have. It must get it back in there so important And with this cruel Omega 50. Plus, we've increased the level of DHS because we Concentrated omega threes in there now with Carla 50. Plus, you're gonna get 130 mg of dhe per serving. Steve leading brand of krill oil. You're gonna get 24. Excellent 24 in the leading brand. You're gonna get 130 with killer 50. Plus, that's why this is so incredible for the brain. This is absolutely exciting. I gotta tell you, though, during the last krill show that we did together you totally shocked me, Doc. Remember, specifically, you said on the edge of my seat. What did I say? You said, And I remember that The studies show that krill oil improves joint comfort in just seven days Now, if the benefits for the brain on the hard didn't work my ears up that certainly would. If you would touch on the study and tell us how this works, right, right. That was a great study. In fact, that's the reason I started taking krill oil about 56 years ago. Pilot study double Blind Placebo controlled Exactly what you want to see out of the Journal of the American College of Nutrition of Participants got 300 mg of krill, oil or placebo. Now, remember Including major 50. Plus, we're giving you even more. We're giving you 500 MG of cruel, also even more potent. But the participants in the study that got the krill oil got some amazing joint benefits. Steve, get this in just seven days. And you remember this from the last show, but in just seven days, they were 28% more comfortable. That's it, George Romper. When I read that, I immediately went out and bought my first bottle of krill oil, But after 30 days, they went 38% more comfortable. The researchers didn't stop there. They looked at flexibility of the joints. They looked at. Function of the joints Allow improvement. Call this the crew oil advantage. So if you're out there and you're taking fish oil official is great. I mean, fish oil is in here. It's so important, but you're not going to get the same joint advantages just started. Well, you're not going to experience this joint comfort benefit that we get specifically from the krill and remember. Incriminate her 50. Plus, we've jacked up the levels of the krill 67% more So in terms of dosage. Fantastic. That's big. That is absolutely big. I was on the website and the testimonials on the grill a mega 50. Plus, they're incredible. I mean, people obviously love this product. I'd like to share a couple of my favorite cereal. Believer rights, and she's a female age 45 to 54 from Georgia. She raise it five out of five stars, she writes. This has helped less grind on my knees when climbing up the steps beneficial to my overall health, both physically and mentally. I just feel better is what she said. Also safety Susan Age 55 to 64 from Sacramento, California. She writes to five out of five stars. I was a little worried about fishy aftertaste. However, I have not birthed it even once because I like it better than regular fish oil, the capsule sizes smaller and it's easy to swallow. This is big the capsule size being smaller. I'm really glad you picked that one out because safety Susan picks out a very important point there. I don't think we really harped on this enough because people have trouble swallowing those huge horse pills. You know those usual mega three pills these air tiny, so this is why this is To break through these capsules. They're so small and easy to swallow. Anybody can easily swallow them. But at the same time we've increased the dosage of crow by 67%. We boosted the antioxidant power. The vitamin D is in there. We supercharge the whole thing with the high omega Three highly concentrated fish oil So important for the heart. So yeah, Safety Susan, She really nailed it there. I want to read one more. This one in front of me Blessed she's in the 55 to 64 age bracket. Fort Worth, Texas, five out of five stars, she writes. I was experiencing brain fog. I couldn't remember things that work felt that was slowing down mentally puree was offering a free bottle. I've been taking it for a year, and I swear by it, I have experienced a difference in my brain and body. Good for you. Blessed, you know what? I'm not surprised that these testimonials at all because I cannot take this product myself. It's fabulous. My patients love the cruel 50. Plus, they feel it in their joints. They feel it in their brain. They feel it in their energy, their circulation. They just feel better. That's what everybody tells me when they're going to the Skrill. Omega 50. Plus, Dr Neil Haven't talked for a minute. If you would about the B 12 energy mounts to this is really an exciting edition. It you gave these away in our last krill show as well. And the feedback has been absolutely overwhelming. People simply love the energy, the path the vigor they feel when they have their B 12 levels restored with ease. And now purity is going to do it again. So to free bottles here today for the listeners tell us about this. "New Year tradition of 50 plus The show that was originally scheduled to be kind of another best of, but I could just couldn't do that. I wanted to get in here. I wanted to do something different. Something special to start the new year and so I took the entire hour for myself to kind of give you an idea. Of how this thing works what we do around here, and I wanted to emphasize the importance of all of you taking part in the program to tell your friends about it. Send me emails. Call me if you want to. Let me know what you want to hear about on 50 plus It's very easy to do my e mails. Very simple. It's just my name Doug Pike at I heart media dot com. Have a desk here and that has voice mail on it. The phone has voice mail on it, not the desk, but the phone number is pretty simple. I guess. 713 to 1 to 8127. Emails Probably easiest, so really just dug Piket I heart media dot com. So to close out these these final 10 minutes or so I ask you again to continue listening. Continue sharing that boat the show with your friends. Like I like I've said I have. I have Garrett Jones on him. I'm kind of a one man show with this with 50. Plus, Garrett is there to make sure that essentially that I don't break the equipment. He is my board operator and producer. But there's They're in that probably rightfully so. They don't want me messing with this stuff. But there's no room full of writers or or booking agents laying out our road map every week. Just me really with some help from Garrett and I could tell you that some of the best topic ideas we've ever tackled on this show. Have originated from places other than my head. I keep a list of what's covered each week each month each quarter for a variety of reasons, and I wanted to use this segment to sort of take a walk back down. 20 twenties memory Lane and 50 plus town. I'm only gonna look at the past six months to really because They're just too many. Too many good ones since even July to list half of them and I don't wanna I don't wanna overlook anything that's of important in relevance in the past. In the past six months. Maybe I'll swing through the front half of the year some other time and maybe share them later. I don't know, by the way, too. If you're new to the show the next few minutes, we'll give you an idea what you've missed before You found us. And maybe trigger a thought or two on something you might like to hear about.
