Derek Chauvin's Ex-Wife Believes He Should Have a New Trial
"Derek Chauvin's ex-wife says that he ruined her life, but she support bid to overturn conviction. And which is, that sounds like a pretty normal fair statement. Let me read this article to you. Her name is Kelly. Kelly Chauvin is 48 year old woman. At least I hope she's a woman. A former beauty pageant queen has remained quiet since Chauvin's knelt on George Floyd's neck for more than 9 minutes resulted in a death in his death and sparking nationwide protests. Have I been in contact with him? No. I've moved on. That's what she said. Chauvin told that's kind of bad. Chauvin told the daily mail dot com for an article published Monday after the outlet tracked her down and Wisconsin. Speaking about the incident about George Floyd and her husband, Chauvin said, it ruined my life. But I'm doing good. It's just something that you have to deal with. I don't know how you found me, this isn't even my house. However, she also said that she has been unable to find work due to threats. Chauvin was sentenced to more than two decades in prison for murder, manslaughter and federal charges for violating George Floyd's civil rights last month, he appeals he appealed to state conviction, arguing that he was unable to receive a fair trial. When asked about whether she support Chauvin's appeal, his ex-wife also told the mail most definitely. And then it says the reporter followed up by asking whether she thought that the trial was unfair, and she said, definitely. She declined to answer any more questions from the reporter, I think you're trying to get into some questions that I don't want to answer. I'm sorry, I can't say more. She said, in response.

I'm very worried if we don't get back to it. This country is going to be severely damaged. He cast over 17,000 votes, one of the first against funding the Vietnam War. You can imagine the pressure I was getting. I was told that I'd never be real elected. I thought that's the case. It's worth it. And what's he most proud of after 48 years? I kept my Vermont values and my integrity. Senator Lee, he leads office January 3rd, his successor, Vermont's democratic representative Peter Welch. I'm Julie Walker

Hey, when you have a loss, like we did in you take a look at what happened in Afghanistan with the Taliban. I dealt with Abdul, the leader of the Taliban. He didn't kill a soldier of ours for 18 months after I spoke to him. And I said, don't do it. And I said it very strongly and you know what I said. Okay, you know exactly what is it. We didn't lose one soldier in 18 months. You look at Chicago, run by the Democrats. Look at what's going on in our cities run by Democrats. We didn't lose a soldier in 18 months. There was no reason for us to rush to that extent. I would have been out. I think at the same time frame. But we would have gotten out with strength, dignity, and we would have kept about them. We gave them $85 billion worth of the best military equipment in the world. That I ordered because I'm the one that rebuilt the military. I rebuilt our military. It was dead. Our military. We had 48 year old fighter. And they tend not to do very well. As you probably understood. Now Millie turned out to be a disaster. Absolutely. What he did in Afghanistan with that surrender, because that was a surrender, as you say better than I do. But that was a complete complete and total surrender. And what he did in Afghanistan, he should have been fired for that.

God Is Raising Up True Leaders Like Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert
"I am talking to congresswoman Lauren boebert of Colorado. I mentioned earlier I got to know her recently and was just so enthused to see that God is raising up real leaders who love him who love America, who are courageous, so Lauren, you were just talking about the idea of God calling you to run for Congress. Now, if somebody doesn't believe in the God that we know personally, they just think that's loony stuff, you know, she prayed and whatever. But you know that you're not making this up. I mean, this was not an ambition of yours when you were little. This is just something that you've fallen into, but it does seem like it is God, and it seems like you are triggering your opponents, particularly well. It's a joy to see. Yes, and you know, it's absolutely a sign in a wonder to the unbeliever. I was not supposed to win this seat. I didn't have the money. I didn't have the name recognition. I didn't have the education or I didn't work my way up the political ranks. And I took out a 5 term incumbent. That was the first time in 48 years that an incumbent had lost a primary in Colorado. And so this was absolutely a sign and a wonder to the unbeliever. And even to myself, you know, but that's what walking by faith is like. When you don't know what the outcome will be, but you have trust in what God has called you to. And you walk that out. And he opens doors that no man can shut. And he closes doors, no man can open, and there's favor. And there are divine appointments that take place, and it's just so

Bloomberg Radio New York
"48 years ago" Discussed on Bloomberg Radio New York
"Thank you so much we appreciate that Well one of the stories here this pandemic particularly here in New York City is folks fleeing New York and going to Florida particularly the financial types All right so now they've relocated to Florida What do they do I guess they buy crypto By commodities who knows what they're doing down there But they're also buying European soccer clubs and we've got a great story on the Bloomberg today that kind of goes into that issue which I was not aware If David hillier business reporter for Bloomberg news joins us So David all right so the smart money the big money the wealthy types down in south beach they're interested in European soccer Is that the story I mean certainly there's a group of them I've been reporting on this for a few months And it kind of is a group of things that you gathering members as it were So we decided to put it together in a piece But it's certainly what some of them are doing Yes There is and they're always has been kind of a core group of Americans Ira Jersey our chief rate strategist among them who love soccer But for most people in this country it's dead boring You know because they'll play for hours and they'll find it impossible to put this tiny little ball in a gigantic goal You know And so you'll end up with scores of zero one or two one or even worse A tie No no It doesn't make any sense Is it gaining in popularity Here Yes I mean unquestionably The Premier League is the deal for its broadcast rights in America which is surpassed all expectations way higher than even the biggest optimist could have imagined And with the World Cup coming up that's another that's another boost for soccer But I think basically these guys see they're looking at the broadcast revenues globally And as entertaining as the NFL I know we have a sports in America They're not they're not as globally present as soccer as football is So I think that's what's kind of but it's a combination of seeing soccer growing And not being as globally as seen Yeah It's global It must hurt you to say soccer by the way David You have to You can say football Please go ahead It does really it does really help us I'm used to it as well Yeah so it's a global global growth that they're looking at But also the price difference between if you were buying a MLS soccer franchise football franchise you were talking about 500 to $600 million You can get a really big Premier League not a really big Premier League club A Premier League club for having Southampton just went with sold a few days ago And that was 200 million And they look at these franchises of these clubs And they think well MLS I mean no one outside America is interested in analysts And Premier League when they play man united people in China are watching it People in Saudi Arabia so that's kind of what's attractive I think Exactly Well I mean no one in America is interested in MLS either But Americans a lot of Americans know Crystal Palace And by the way how much did Ted Lasso have to do with this Because his club isn't his club rich kind of yeah but it's kind of Crystal Palace It was filmed at Crystal Palace Who knows Who knows I suppose a great series And I just finished watching it over Christmas And I think it must have it must have must have inspired some of them but John text thought he's bought 40% in Crystal Palace And that's a big chunk of money But he's also put a club in Brazil in the club in Belgium I mean the other nitro that really news phenomenon here is that all these people it's new to soccer anyway football Is it they're all buying four or 5 clubs I mean it's not just one But they're getting them all over the Europe and in Brazil David arnett Do we know whether these are actually good investments Do they generate an attractive return for these Florida financiers or are these more just ego deals I mean I mean you know the added share is if you're a billionaire you want to lose money you buy a football club They're not really there But they're not really In America my understanding is that they run on much much better standard financially The salary very straight salary cap there's a draft The costs are really under control They're not really in European football Brazilian football soccer anyway They're out of control So they do think that they can stay in they can run things differently but then everyone says that when they go into these fences they will say so the big things for them is this multi cloud thing they can get they can train people in Brazil and ship them over to Crystal Palace and then they can sell into Manchester United and they make a huge amount of money So that is kind of the what they're looking at It's always been a way for really rich people to show that they've made it right I mean I recall when I was a kid hearing Pink Floyd talk about buying a football club in the song money from dark side of the moon which was 1973 So that was 48 years ago For a long time it was the it was the revere of the Russian oligarch Abramovich moving in to Eaton square in buying every flat Is that still the case Are they the competition And what the competition now are countries under the states UAE Saudi Arabia And the competition is huge And the benefits are still there But what these guys are kind of pitching in a slightly lower level And there's sort of saying that I spoke to John text yesterday evening after he thought Brazilian club in the Belgian club and all in the week And he said that if my constellation of clubs get together then they can midtown clubs can suddenly compete with Newcastle which is owned by Saudi Arabia's public investment fund I mean I know that skeptical about that All right David real quickly What's your club What's your premiership club Well mine is a brand that's just club Chelsea Okay Yeah but I've been with us since.

"Where's my where's my baseball bat, okay? Now, 48 years ago today on this date, 1973, president, then president Richard Nixon made his famous. I am not a crook speech. I don't know if you knew that. No, I think I kind of remember it. I remember, I was like, 7 years old, so I had supported George McGovern because that's the right age to support George McGovern. And when Watergate came out, I kind of date, we thought it was like a baseball play. So since he had cheated, there would have to be a do over. And, you know, all of us have waited for the 2020 do over. Haven't we? That's right. But now what's interesting about this, I don't think many people know this. So he gives the I am not a crook speech, but do you know where he was when he gave that speech? No. He was at Disney World. He gave the speech at Disney World. Now, rumor has it, he was just about to get on the mister toad's wild ride at the time and he had goofy and he had Minnie mouse right next to him. But I'm not sure if that part is true. But while on the ride, he should have had a mobile camera following him while he spun around on mister toad's wild ride. I am not a crook. I am not a crook. Yeah, very, very fun stuff. Okay, well, now we have to get the serious stuff, like, you know, current events. And I just want to let people know. We're going to talk first of all about the Kyle rittenhouse kangaroo court and the show trial there. But we don't know when this is being taped. So we don't know what's if a verdict will have come out by the time this show airs today. But we're just going to go with it, right? Yeah, and you know, the suspense is kind of getting to me. Do we still live in a free country where people have rights or do we live in a banana republic hellhole? I'm waiting to find out. This trial will give us a significant indication of whether we still live in the United States of America or whether we live in Venezuela part two. Yeah. I don't know if I hope people have been following this. This is so incredibly important to, yes. Go ahead, John. The trial of Kyle rittenhouse has been the most outrageous and absurd miscarriage of justice. These charges should never have been brought when it's brought. They should have been dismissed. If not dismiss, they should have been thrown up by the judge at every level. This up until the actual trial started, it's been like a stalinist show trial. But the judge is actually a decent professional patriotic American who believes in the rule of law. So the actual trial has been a riot because the prosecutors that they dredged up in Wisconsin are idiots. One of them was holding an AR-15 pointing it at people in the court with his finger on the trigger. Anyone who has ever used a gun, condo gun rage, taking the most basic gun safety classes nose, you don't point a gun at people. You don't intend to shoot with it. And you don't do it unless you're actually in a life threatening situation. He's just waving this AR-15 around in the courtroom with his finger on the trigger. You always assume that the gun might be loaded. That is the only safe way to treat a firearm. But no, the prosecutors go on all Alec Baldwin in the classroom. Another prosecutor, this morbidly obese oath was a guy who obviously has never climbed a stair in his entire life. I'm serious. He's saying that Kyle rittenhouse had no right to shoot at someone who was trying to beat him to death with a skateboard. He said, he should have just taken the beating. Sometimes in life you got to take a meeting. And looking at this fat idiot, I realized he could take a beating he wouldn't even feel it. He is the stay puff marshmallow man through ghostbusters. I know, I know. And it's so funny because remember, he was 17 years old at the time, okay? And all these people that were attacking him were adults. And somehow he was supposed to like, well, use your fist. You're supposed to use your fists. You bring your fist to a fist fight, not a gun to a fist fight. When a mob of dozens of people, screaming, kill him, comes running towards you. You're supposed to just accept it and take it because you're a white guy. But if you're a black felon and the police are trying to arrest you, you can go reach for a knife. You can fight with them. And if they use deadly force against you, they're wrong. You see, this is part of the bizarre anti white hatred that we're seeing whipped up. I mean, I have no paces for white nationalists or people who organize as white people. I mean what? But, but to target white people, the way the Bluetooth targeted the tutsis in Rwanda or the Germans targeted the Jews, we're seeing genuine ethnic hatred and getting whipped up. This is incredible. We're going to get more into this whole show trial in just a second we're going to be right back with John's mere act here on the Eric metaxas show. Stay.

"To be paid one through nine, and the remaining funds be paid out in your 10. Many commentators believe the iris it's simply made a mistake. And that's how it turned out to be the case. In a subsequent revision dated May 13th The service made clear that annual rmds aren't required under the 10 year rule. After all. So the 10 year rule is like the old five. You can take out all your money in your 12345. Well, what could be really cool as you wait till the 10th year you get nine years of tax regrowth. But let's say one year you lose your job or one year you don't have as much money. That would be a great year to take the distribution from a loved one. Because it's not tax free. So the I. R s may have cleared up that mess. But they may have created a new one. The IRS has said that the five year payout Ends on December 31st. Of the year. Following the fifth anniversary of death, most assume that the 10 year period would be applied the same way. Indeed, one of the most recent publications confirms that that's publication 5 90 B. You could go to IRS dot gov and check it out. But two paragraphs later, the Iris says that the ending date of the 10 year period is different when the beneficiary risk receiving stretch payment stars or when a minor child receiving stretch payments. Reaches the age of majority. That's really do, too. There are some rules. If you're a minor, minor child and you inherit it, and they'll probably release further clarification on that. That's confusing, and they usually do. So Also there is a beneficiary planning loophole. That has closed with the passage of the Secure act. Once common IRA beneficiary planning strategies have been upended. For example, no longer can just anyone stretch payments of an inherited IRA. You must qualify as an e, d b or necks. Eligible Designated beneficiary to stretch using your single life expectancy. PDBs includes surviving spouses. Minor Children, and this is where I think once they reach age of majority, they won't have that benefit, disabled and chronically ill individuals and individuals not more than 10 years younger So you get to still stretch the IRA. All other living breathing. Irate beneficiaries will now use the 10 year rule. There are no annual rmds during the 10 year window, but the account must be emptied by the 10th year after death. So if you have questions on this arm, the role we're going to talk more about a break it down. But first we're gonna go to Ursula. Who's calling us at 803 2107 10. Ursula, you're on with Josh Dolinsky, the financial quarterback. Thank you for taking my call. I just have a question of my husband and I bought an apartment of condominium in Southampton. About 48 years ago, and we bought it for $76,000 at the time. They are now selling between one million and 1 to 1,000,003. And my question is this, um My friend who also owns this, uh, same apartment wants to sell it below one million because she keeps telling me that that is a million nest tax. Can use answer that question. Is that federally or state? Is she referring to Uh, well, state I live in New Jersey. The property is in New York. So, um Well, there is a mansion tax. The millionaires tax in New Jersey does apply. But what could you get the value for too many people make Avoiding taxes. The goal when it should be to get the most. You, can I? Yeah, I mean, I know I could roll it over in another property or you know, but I 84 years old. I don't want to do that. So I will have to pay the capital gains. Whatever they are. I was told by my accountant to be as aggressive as I can be with ride off, But of course I have to prove them. And I just then heard this, you know, tell her telling me sell it under a million. So you don't have to pay a millionaire stocks. But what is your What is the property worth? If you sold it today is that were in 1.2 millionaires at like one point of Three or, you know, it's at one point Oh, five. They're selling between 1.1 and 1.2 million. Okay, so I would just sell it for what it's worth. And okay, I mean, I forget exactly what the I gotta look to something. You know there is a New Jersey mansion tax. I don't know if it applies. We have a lot of accountants who listen to the show. I'm not sure if it applies to Properties you sell outside of the state of New Jersey. Um, and there is some type of mansion tax. I'm aware of what you're talking about. But, you know, let's say it's 10% will 10% of 200 grand is 20 grand. So why would you take a 200 I don't know. $1000 pay cut on on on the sale. The other thing you could do is 10 31 Exchange it. Or you could keep the property. And after you pass It will be inherited with a step up in basis unless the Biden administration changes that I see. Didn't wasn't there somebody on the show that did something racist a long time ago, And then he said, Well, that shouldn't matter anymore or something like that, so he didn't actually do the racist thing. But he didn't criticize the person that did the racist thing for the for the racism. I think that was enough to have him removed. I think that's what it was. He was explained to me, then how it is that Hunter Biden isn't a news story today or Paula Deen for that matter. Well, Paula Deen did she use the actual inward back? What? 40 years ago when everybody was throwing it around, and then they cancel her. How many people have done something slightly racist or extremely racist and had their lives and careers ruined, But Hunter. Biden isn't a news story. They have him on tape is saying the N word multiple times. The Chris Harris and thing is actually even more ridiculous than what I do. Remember it being quite ridiculous. He's There's no chance there's no scientific evidence that the China virus was made in the lab. I mean, come on, right. I mean, come on. Now. All of a sudden, he didn't interview politic fact, and he said he's not convinced. That covert 19 develop naturally, and he wants an investigation. Into the origins. Oh, man. Yep, And that's after By the way, our State department learned several workers at the Wuhan instead of urology became ill in mid November. 9 2019. They needed him. Hospital care. They were so sick. It started their second thing. I think you need to know. Uh, OSHA originally was there to protect the I guess the worker, right? Not anymore. OSHA up until a couple days ago, said that if if unemployed you're mandates that you get the vaccine, and there's any kind of side effect any anything that is damaging. They would have to report it right. Not now. Now they're not requiring any employers to record workers side effects from mandatory covert vaccination shots through May of next year. So the bite administration the vaccine freaks, they've gotten the OSHA third thing. I think you need to know they're so desperate now. I'm talking about the Democrats. The rhino trump hating deuce for loving McCain. Democrats in America began is so desperate About this forensic guarded and Maricopa County. The county attorney sent a letter saying you better keep all the documentation because we could use this against you in future lawsuits because we don't think you're doing anything to follow the law here with this audit here in Arizona, keep it all because we could sue you because you've said things that you've done things keep it up. So now they're threatening lawsuits. By the way, it's starting back up today, the audit their increasing number of tables, workers and trying to add a third shift to get this thing done three things I think you need to know now. Um, this is one for the record books right here. Campus reform has this great story. About a professor at the University of Colorado named Jennifer. Whole H o Sexist. She's a professor. Of course, you ready of ethnic studies and critical race studies. I mean, real genius here. She wrote. An article entitled White Supremacy is the root of all race related violence in the U. S. And then she wrote, black people are also attacking Asians. White people are the main perpetrators of anti Asian racism. Wait, What What? Wait, wait. What? Yes. So basically, the violence against Asians from the non white people is still caused by white supremacy. I mean, it makes sense. We've talked about this. In the past. There was a march out in San Francisco and they supported about New York because there were Asians being attacked. And it was by black people actually was a bunch of crimes and was black people, unfortunate attacking Asians and there were marches saying that we're marching to end white supremacy and the attacks on Asian Americans and I'm like, Wait, wait, What It wasn't white people doing it. Yeah. The one nut job that shot eight people two or white six. Regi because he was a sex freak couldn't control it. Yeah. It says here. She cited her experience as president of the Association for Asian American Studies and director of the Center for Humanity's an Arts. She claimed white supremacy is the root of all race related discrimination in the country, White supremacy. So even when black people do things or Hispanics, do things to other races and claim that it's racist. It's all related to white supremacy, and it's all white people's fault. So white supremacy is not limited to white people. She literally, she said. Quote. The point I've made through all of those experiences is that anti Asian racism? Has the same source as anti black racism. White supremacy. She writes this, she wrote, quote one so in a black person attacks.

J and J Vaccine Pause Driven by Risk of Mistreating Clots
"A setback in vaccine options states and territories, pausing use of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine after the CDC and FDA put out a recommendation to do so.
