First Republic Bank Shares Sink to Another Record Low
"All right, Friends, another day, another set of serious updates around the global banking crisis. We start with first republic, which had another shocking day on Monday with the stock price plummeting 47% to an all time low. The stock was halted 9 times during its freefall and has now lost 90% of its equity value since the beginning of March. First Republicans experienced a massive $70 billion in deposit outflows over the month, as customers grow concerned about the safety of the bank afflicted with the same duration mismatch impairment that took down Silicon Valley bank alongside signature. Now on Friday, a consortium of major banks led by JPMorgan Chase, agreed to offer first republic 30 billion in deposits, consisting of the deposits which would float out of the troubled community bank. Ratings agency S&P said this package may not be enough to solve the quote substantial challenges facing the bank even if it does ease short term pressures on liquidity. On Monday, JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon was back in talks to discuss converting the $30 billion in deposits into a capital infusion in an attempt to calm the panic around the already shaky bank. JPMorgan investment bankers have also been hired by first republic to explore options with a sale also being in the cards. Unfortunately, right now it's not clear how likely that is. Now that said, first republic doesn't necessarily represent the entire banking industry, with some time having passed since the collapse of Silicon Valley bank and the introduction of the fed's emergency liquidity program, the bank term funding program or BTF, regional banks actually saw a broad rally on Monday. This was led by New York community Bancorp, which we'll discuss in just a moment with a record 30% daily gain. Zero X makes he says, if you're in crypto and not following what's happening on community bank Twitter right now, you should be. Gas prices surge in New Jersey, around nation
"Gas prices are on the rise again, triple-A says the national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline is 8 cents higher than last week. At $3, 47 cents a gallon. Analysts think that this is a short term hike, since there's a recent drop in demand and in the cost of crude, although prices are up from last week, they're down significantly from this time last year. When gas cost more than $4, 30 cents a gallon, there is some upward pressure though on pricing in the future due to the switch to the more expensive summer blend of gasoline that reduces emissions in higher heat. "We're going to start with a story that is pretty disgusting. I'll be honest, but it needs to be covered and talked about. The mayor of college park, Maryland, Patrick Wu Jean, who's arrested Thursday on 56 child pornography possession and distribution charges. He's a gay activist, 47 year old gay activist, Democrat, faces 40 counts of hard to even read this. I'll be honest. It's so disgusting. It's vomit inducing, but it's real. Dr. Jerry Newcombe on 'The Road to Independence'
"A piece of tape here. It is from doctor Newcomb's a film that he helped produce, cut 47, the road to independence. Please play cut 47. The great awakening was a spiritual movement with political consequences. It reached its zenith with George whitfield, but this powerful series of religious revivals all began with a humble calvinist minister named Jonathan Edwards. His life and his preaching helped bring about what's called the first great awakening in America. That led to the Salvation of up to half of the south and one third of the north. The ideas of the awakening as historians say laid the foundations for what became the revolution, the awakening was the sowing the seeds for what became the freedom of the revolution. So I'm a great admirer of whitfield and Americans should appreciate his immense contribution. Anyone who's able to get Oz Guinness in a documentary or a film deserves great credit. Doctor newcombe, how do we watch that film and tell us more about it? Thank you very much. And there are other great guests too also in this whole series. Dennis prager and rabbi Daniel lapin and Janet Ellis and Eric metaxas, and my good friend, Bill Federer. And as well as Bill Peter low back. Yeah, he is, Bill, Bill is one of a kind. In fact, I remember when Bill and I first started to get to know each other in the early 2000s. And I said to him one time, we were walking on the streets of St. Louis. That's where he used to live. And I said, you know, Bill, the more you study, America's true history, the more you realize how the Christian faith, the Bible, played such an incredible pivotal role.

Man Doesn't Do Well in Cities
"It interesting that nimrod said, let's build a city. First time we ever hear that, and cities are known for the propagation of evil. That's right. And danger, man doesn't do well in cities unless God is the builder. It's interesting, both the Torah, the first 5 books of the Bible, and Thomas Jefferson, both hated big cities. The American founders read this text and they designed a system of government to say we do not want all this power and cosmopolitan densely populated urban areas. That's right. In fact, the founding fathers were so biblically literate. If you read the federalist papers, Alexander Hamilton, federalist 47, federalist 51, federalist 58. They talked time and time again about the heated passions in cities where rancor, rumor and half truths, reigns supreme were the mobs and the masses are able to get what they want, but reason goes to die. God tried to warn us in genesis 11. Hey, if you guys build these cities, all of a sudden, you're not going to be governed by your reason, you're rationality or your logic, but it's going to be the tyranny of the clamoring majority. My goodness. You look at federalism, states rights. You look at this idea of the local church, all of that is saying we learn the lesson from genesis 11 and we're not going to try to build something central or something big or something strong and you see that it direct odds with the world economic form of what they're doing right now.

Shout Out to the 10 ASU Professors Who DIDN'T Try to Cancel Charlie
"Want to make a special shout out to the ten professors who didn't sign the petition. Are any of them here if you're here? Because all the emphasis was 37 out of 47. I mean this non sarcastically. I was impressed that there were ten holdouts. That there were ten professors that said, I'm not comfortable signing this petition. That was more than I expected, truly. But it does tell you a lot about, you know, where the academies headed. And again, I don't want to paint with too broad of a brush, but if you are a professor that signs a petition like that, just so intellectually lazy. And just so sloppy, you know, you're an intellectual midget or coward. In my opinion, not to want to be able to defend your position. And quite honestly, lazily and sloppily and it's an insult to everyone who worked really hard to get a PhD just to say that stuff like, oh, he's a white nationalist. It's like really, what's your substantiation for that? Would you like to come up, by the way, open invite for any one of the 37 professors? You're welcome on my national radio program any time, and you can have an uninterrupted uninterrupted opportunity to tell me in front of millions of people why you believe the stuff you believe or are you too cowardly because you just want to sign a petition and then go off into the distance with your moral superiority.

Lindsey Graham's Hidden Agenda With Pedro Gonzalez
"Us now is Pedro Gonzalez, check out his substack contra, I'm a subscriber to it and I learn a lot. Pedro, welcome to program. I really want to talk about Lindsey Graham with you. I thought you had some of the best commentary on that. I'm a Trump supporter in 2024. And I am disturbed and bothered at Lindsey Graham's proximity to Donald Trump. Let's play cut 47 and then I want you to react to play cut 47. I am for Trump, not because of the flaws of anybody else. I'm for Donald Trump because I know what I'm going to get. We need somebody that on day one can get this country back on track that can secure our border and bring order out of chaos. Somebody the Russians and the Chinese fear. Somebody that can take the fight to the terrorist. They Abraham accords the result of Donald Trump in pressing the Arabs and Israelis. He is the best solution to the problems we face, not because of the flaws of others, but because what I know he can do. Does he believe that Pedro your reaction? I don't know, because Lindsay has built his career online to people and probably lying to himself. But I think the bottom line is exactly what you said at the outset that it's not a good sign that Lindsey Graham is in such close proximity to Trump. And the idea that Trump needs Lindsey Graham's support in order to win South Carolina that argument just seems to not make sense at all. And if that's true, that actually means that Trump has bigger problems than people, I guess, are aware of, right? If Lindsey Graham is critical to your success, that's not a good sign for your campaign. So really, there's no rational reason for the right to make excuses for Lindsey Graham's proximity to Trump. And I think that Graham is among the most pernicious in the GOP precisely for the reasons that I outlined the other night on Tucker Carlson, but I can actually go a little bit more in depth here because I have more time. But again, people look at people look at Graham and they see this kind of goofy character who's ultimately harmless, but he's not

"That you're doing might need to go because you have a different season in your life where you really have be where you you know. Option b. is not option b. But where you have a different calling on your life instead of calling a now. It's calling be and so calling a is still there but maybe you push that back a little bit so that you don't get burnt out and trying to you know so what going through those seasons and what's the what's really the most important purpose at that time. And i'm all for serving or getting in there doing the work of ministry serving. But i think of when the disciples were doing. The work of the ministry and people were complaining that they weren't taking care of the widows and the orphans and what happened was their most important. Yes was to be preaching the gospel at that time. Not that the work of the taking care of widows didn't matter because it certainly did. But god had to rise up other disciples who would take on some of those roles because i think this happened in acts. I'm talking about. But god had rise up other people to kind of fulfill some of those needs but the president's was set by the first disciples because they were doing it before and that's why people notice that it wasn't happening because they were doing it and then it wasn't happening or they had to be preaching the gospel to other people could come to know the goodness of god and so god kind of moves us through on a journey on our faith journey on our journey and sometimes we'll go back to the elementary things that we did at the beginning of our faith to help get us towards our next goal and i think of it this way to if we're if we talk about churches and and senior pastors right you'll sometimes see a senior pastor who starts at a church. They leave that church. They maybe take some time away then they go get a job at a different church. That's not to say that the church that they were in wasn't something something that you know. They made an impact at or anything right. It's it's that season of this is where god has them. And sometimes you do the work that god has for you and and now it's it's over and it's time for someone else to do some different work there different perspective and time for you to go elsewhere and i also think of sometimes churches will have their pastors take force them to take time off right atika. You know whether it's a month a week usually when they're forcing them. It's more than a week but maybe more along the lines of a month but you need to go. You need to take some time off reset not because you're doing things wrong but we want you fresh right and i think that's a good thing so that your they're not getting burnt out either on a weekend week out like trish was talking earlier about you know studying the word instead of just for herself. She not at all for herself sometimes and just to be able to get a message for someone right and just jump back. If you want to know more about that story i was referring to just looked it up. It's acts six. Where the disciples were picking out people who would kinda rise up and take care of the widows and the distribution of food so saying all that we've said it's kind of a precursor to a larger topic which we've referred to many times about the purpose that god has for you right and i think we're going to you the next few episodes. I don't know how long it's gonna take. We're going to give team. Yeah we want to dive into this purpose thing. We want to talk about the gifts of the holy spirit. We went to break up some of these things in. I'm not in a headfirst new going forward bear with us because there's so much about purpose but we wanted to create this bumper in the beginning. Almost like i think a bowling alley right where you have the bumper that helps get you to the end goal in so this episode is kind of a bumpers. This is kind of a bumper to help you to know that it's okay to say no to certain things and to avoid the burn out so you can get to the end goal which is to get a strike and knocked down all the pins so if you've enjoyed this what we've been talking about here. Please let us know like share comment however you can good about it We appreciate it but also tune into the next few episodes and we're going to hopefully deep do a deeper dive in just like turtles said calling on your lives and all that so this is just kind of a precursor. "Was the same thing. I ended up taking away. More time off than she and she got involved a lot so she got involved a lot quicker and in in more depth than i did and but she did stick to the year. Which i think was a good thing. It's a year to the day that we had that conversation was when i was like all right the years done what can i do and yeah and so for me eventually because of trish and some others. They kind of like we got. We wanna talk to thaddeus and get them involved in having. Maybe he wants to do this. Or there's something else right. And i still was guarded instill set boundaries and and slowly integrated into doing some serving at church. And it's gotten to the point now. Where i trying to serve regularly but i'm still keeping boundaries. So they've and they've honor they they're never gonna like just expect me to be there without you know we have a scheduling system and if i block something off. They're not going to schedule it type of thing. And so it's gradually getting their and our oldest now is interested in music. So it's like now. It's sparks in. But i don't know where that's going to go. One thing in that season of life that i learned was that i was so busy doing the work of the ministry and serving the lord and doing all the things all the good deeds all of the sacrificing on my time sacrificing myself sacrificing family. Time all of that. I was so busy making all these sacrifices and yet at the same time probably was not making the best. Yes decisions in my life as far as very much having that intentional time of. I don't know how were the spot to say. I was studying the word of god for other people and not enough for myself where i was in the word on a regular basis but it wasn't to edifying build myself up. It was only to edify build other people up. It would be like searching for that message that i could give to other people rather than what is that message. I'm supposed to preach to myself. In what is that that the holy spirit trying to minister to me. And so when i took that year off of altogether one thing that the holy spirit super connected me of was learning to preach to myself in learning to get in the word of god and always having that be number one priority every day of getting in the word studying it to build myself up when i say every day hold that loosely because a not always the best that everyday but i try my best to do it every day for myself especially if i know and even more so if i know that hey i'm going to be ministering to somebody else i need to make sure i'm ministering myself i before i ministered to anybody else and i think it's important tricia dirty brought up kind of figuring out a purpose and things like that and sometimes it's easy to just say yes to things yesterday things yesterday right thing to do or maybe you're being pressured in one way or the other and that's fine but it's you have to again draw. The line of is this something. That really is on my heart. That i should be doing is a something that god really has to do. Or am i just doing it to do right and skip. Share say to obey is better than sacrifice and it comes to a point of you have to weigh that with yourself and with god of it. Is this what i should be doing. And is there something. I need to cut out in. And we're talking ministry experiences but for me. It's also then very much related to my kids and their sports experiences and one of my allowing my time to get sucked away with as far as driving my kids athletics new and all that kind of stuff or their even their academics with home schooling them like what am i allowing to drown out all my time and what is taking me away from my purpose in. What i got is called me to do. And here's the thing guys. A lot of you have a desire on your heart and something that god is put in you that he has created you to do and you are not walking in the full something that the holy spirit convicted neon is. I have this desire in my heart. And i have these things that i'd like to fulfill the purpose of god in my life. Whatever that may be in what. I felt the holy spirit convict me on his. I need to live my life. Like i'm already walking in that fullness like. I'm already in that place where i am. You know like. I'll use an example because this is not related to me at all because i'm not a musician but say one day i wanted to be famous musician or i wanted to write records or i wanted to be somebody who recorded. That's a good one. I can't even clap on. I had that as my goal one day. I wouldn't wait till that day to start practicing my guitar and start doing things that were musical. I would start that today right and so if you have a goal one day to own your own business or goal one day to do something athletic like run a marathon. You start today. That is when you start you. Don't wait till that day and for me it was ministry like i've always been in pretty much misery most of my life and that is something i want to continue to do is be in ministry but it studying you know other communicators and studying theology doctrines and what two different religions believe. That are not our religion in studying spirituality in all the different things to kind of help give me a good foundation of what i believe so i can communicate well my faith to other people because i have a heart to win the loss in seeking and save the last. That's what i feel called to do. And so i need to know my my beliefs and my understanding along with even where other people are coming from in their background in what they believe so when i'm talking to them i can have a world view. Maybe not they're world view but a little bit of an understanding of their world view. So as i'm talking to them. I can see combating me on this part of my faith and they believe this and so i guess i can believe what i believe for myself but it's good to know for me. Why other people believe what they believe. So when i'm hopefully telling them about the lord. I can understand where they're coming from if that makes sense but that's what i thought. God was charging my heart with is if this is what you feel called to do than here are some foundational things you can do to help. Obtain that goal is start that saying. I don't know who said it. I start with the end in mind. So start at that place where you know that. Hey you have a school. One day to be a business owner. You might not have the finances right now to be a business owner but you on business you can start following podcasts at people who are business owners and you can start studying towards that goal and if you feel there's a call maybe something in the future something that you can't do immediately right that doesn't mean that you don't have a purpose for the current right and something that you have a purpose to do now doesn't mean that's your purpose long-term doesn't mean that's always going to be your call on your life right. There's we have seasons right. We have winter spring summer fall. Well we'd have seasons of in life to of in this season. I really feel like. I need to be doing a right and down the road. Something.

We're going to be talking about burn out and setting boundaries so this topic could be for us. I think it's it relates to some ministry things and you know stretching yourself too thin it could relate to anything though i mean it could be parenting. It could be your daily. You know nine to five job etc right. I i can tell you right now and recording this right before we started. I had an email on. My phone was marked urgent. And so it's do. Is it meyer responsibility or someone else on my team. Look at it right so it. It's you know taking ause. I'm going to do this. Drought and then if no one else does respond to it then. I'll look at that when we're done recording even today just judeh was our first day of school with my kids that we we have a few kids that do one that does online school when that does public school and then to that are traditionally home schooled in. Today's our first day of traditional home schooling. And as i'm sitting there with my kids my phone keeps going off off enough off with various notifications from work to family personal staff and as i'm responding to them. I'm like it occurred to me that weight. I should have my phone on silence. Because i get very distracted. But it's one of those things where i've been out of habit of having my phone silenced in the mornings when i'm doing school that just like a little thing like that just a little boundary such as silencing your phone when you are supposed to be focusing on something else is just a boundary. But it's hard for me to always remember to put those boundaries in place especially when they've been out of practice right so it's it's the knowing when to say no right or when to say this can wait because so often even even just spreading yourself thin like. Oh i have my job. I have my family. I want to serve at church. I want my kids have xyz sports or different activities and sometimes there's volunteer things for those. Sometimes there's you know fundraisers and things and where's the line right and so i think it's important that we we learn to to say no. We learned to not overdo it so that you get burnt out. Because i know that for me personally i have been burnt out. You know in the past. I don't i won't say. I am right now because i did. Cut some things out and and you know constantly wayne the the. How much more can i i. I can do more but not get burnt out again. A huge thing to weigh in our minds is our purpose and the call that we have on our lives. And how can we be intentional. About fulfilling that colin that mission in that purpose on our lives that god is placed on us and do our jobs and raise our children or do school or whatever it is that we're trying to handle all at the same time of the nineteen that god has on our lives in. What are we saying yes to. That is our best most purposeful. Yes that we are allowing god to work through us and i'm not saying god can work through you doing all the little things and driving everywhere and do all those things however there are just some things we can do. That can be far more intentional. Fulfilling the call that god has placed on our life for me an experience as someone who got married young. We're we were married pretty young. We started having kids young young enough though and in the process of that we were both working. We you know nothing that was necessarily a career job by any means but working trish was doing school. And before we had kids also were a part of different ministries. I was part of bands and it got to the point of when we started having kids and i was still doing. We're kind of both still going along those same past. Not the school part but ministry stuff i was. We're working. Church stopped working fulltime but was doing more with ministry. So that kind of you know. She's still doing fulltime essentially. And i cut out a band than i rejoin started. Another band. seemed like is fine. Then we started doing more ministry things. I ended up cutting out a ban. Because i thought or if a career job and with ministry and everything else in kids having kids i was like i can't do this anymore. I can't commit to it. So i didn't wanna get burnt out. I didn't want it to be a negative to those guys and a bandwidth fast forward. A few years a couple more kids different ministry things started volunteering. I've probably was volunteering at with three different ministries at the same time at one point between a couple of different churches and then we decided to help with the church plant. I still doing music or at got back in with also. The kids were growing up and i started volunteering time with coaching. And you know as i very much got burnt out and eventually this was to the point where i stopped. I didn't want to serve at church anymore. It got to be too much. And i and i cut that out The band stuff started to teeter down so not as big a deal. And i really found more of a purpose in not just doing my daily job and spending time with my family but a purpose in coaching. Which i've talked about before on the podcast. So you can refer back to other episodes probably here to a greater degree and i took some time off because i was burnt out. We ended up moving to a different church where neither of us were volunteering. And really. I told trish at that point because she she was. I think experiencing burnout a different degree in different level than i was but i told her like. Hey we're going. we're going here now. You need to take at least a year off from doing anything in myself. It.

"47. To give me them. And yes, he's a congressman is also a doctor. His patients have been pretty famous. In fact, the leader of the free world he is Ronnie Jackson and continue and in your home state of Texas. You saw this. This law gets signed in, and the Supreme Court decided not to block it. The the fetal heartbeat bill that shows it an abortion would be illegal. After six weeks. I'd love for you to comment. Congressman Jackson about the The hysterical reaction to this that you know most women, I am told if you read social media, most women don't even know they're pregnant after six weeks. Can you speak to this and your experience as a doctor? Well, I think they're the reaction is a little bit hysterical at this particular point. To be honest with you. I think you know they're spinning it like if the law has completely solidified and you know there's there's going to be no last night will be contested at all. That's not true. And the Supreme Court basically refused to block the law because for procedural reasons that were involved in it that you know that you know that I don't understand that you know, yes, to do things in certain ways, procedurally in order for them to hear the case on and so forth. But reality is is what I think is going on here is, I think that it's being spun up as aggressively as possible by the left right now because they're desperate right now to change the story and to move away from the Afghanistan story, And I think this does that, because what this does is, you know it fires up their base, and they're losing a lot of their base with this Afghanistan stuff and some of the covid stuff. I mean, there's a lot of things that are happening in the by administration happens with the Democrat Party right now where they are actually losing. Their voters and you know, and so I think this is one area where they think if they can get this spun up enough and create enough emotion around this Texas issue, they can start drawing some of their, uh, some of their base some of their voters back in, so I think that's mainly what this is about. They're going to continue to spin this as hard and as fast as they can. And just try to get Afghanistan off the front pages. You know another issue. Obviously, that's pending before, um before Congress is these infrastructure and the spending bills, and you get the sense that the the lack of popularity or the declining popularity of the president falling from the Afghan debacle on the is making the prospects of that, um You know, it's much harder. It's going to be harder win for them. Do you feel like that's something that is that Congress? Is this going to have an impact already See that going when you come back from recess? I think it's going to be much harder for them to push that it's gonna be hard for them to get up on the floor and make that their issue and talk about nothing but that I'm not saying they won't do that, because I don't I you know, I had no faith that they're going to do the right thing. But the right thing right now would be a to B to come together. Start talking about what happened in Afghanistan and how we're going to get Americans, you know, home. I mean, we still have Americans, hundreds of them that are trapped over there, and every day that goes by, it's more and more likely that these Americans are going to be taken hostage killed. You know, God forbid Isis gets ahold of them. I mean, it's one thing if the Taliban gets ahold of them, but if I get to hold up, they're going to put him in orange jumpsuits and cut their heads off. We know that we've seen that before, So there needs to be some urgency about that. And I think that that's going to be the focus and I think there will be a lot of urgency and have a hard time on the issue of the spending. Congressman. The president's on vacation, and your colleagues in the house are off until what mid October looks like, Are there not doing anything here? No, I mean it's disgraceful..

He's a great person but we did history of rock and roll and like he sat next to me and wanted to copy off of me all the time and i was like wait a minute. This is your subject and you don't even know anything about it. You took the class history of rock and roll. Yeah and he was in it with me and wanted to see me. Can we just pause. I know how he felt. Whenever there was a class. That was about something i liked. If we're being honest when you're young you kind of think like there's a chance this class is just like listening to rock. Buchan fucking are laying around here. People asking you your favorite rockers. And then you get there. And they're like there's no aerosmith without nat king cole. We learned about like stax and motown and that's interesting now as a kid. If there's like the history of magic you don't wanna to learn about a guy named shit all the time trick ladies and gentlemen. My pants are empty. Can you confirm my pants are empty. Go ahead and open them up and look at my bare ass and confirmed the crowd. But there is nothing in my. Everyone is seemed everyone. Seeing my child are completely empty. Cheese abracadabra averick fred crap and gab. Crackling good getting my trousers. The and i've been in plain view. This i you took down see. Podcasts are the dumping ground beds completely. Honest american hard-working bits. That no what. I'm saying you couldn't do that on stage so stupid. Yes that there's certain jokes that are like precious birds that only breathe hydrogen. You have a baby little bones. And they land once they die. They're so fragile. I made out of wet paper and they could be blown away and they can only exist in the moment that they're being created. Yeah that was what to dump it because to dump. I mean we were both there kind. Like looking for crap crooked adapt. Yeah fine but when we all kind of saw the stage volunteer pulling open. Tt white bird in his new incarnation as a magician looking at the hefty dump in his trousers. That's all funny. But then he isn't perfect dumb but see. Here's the thing. This is how todd speechless but this is this is the thing you always say that i'm thirty percent. Funnier and and i appreciate that but the secret is the you just keep talking and you have no problem like working it out out loud and it gives me ample time to just sit here and think of the better joke. You're for sure. No that's that's really. Take one for the team. Do you think thirty percent. Funnier and i think the but to complement myself. I know this stupid joke but jokes in general the kind of courage into the dark like i don't care if this is stupid. Let's see what happens. Beautiful is an important part of any to dump joke. I wouldn't be able to deduct if you didn't i ab i. Think he said labral abracadabra he didn't even say dump. Oh i didn't. I said africa alpha man. I don't know but then i don't get to play it back. And you know what i think they will employment. This will be taught in the history of comedy. This little lecture i gave. We'll be like some jokes are only funny the first time you thought of them. But then what's so funny. I really believe this for the rest of my life. If someone says to dump to us will laugh so hard yeah. The joke was good. Yes there's just like we have too many filters too many judgment mechanisms to allow us to like that joke if we know that the performer. This is what he polished. Get to the whale shark. That's right and i'm i'm just so big giant person and he said so when you get to the breakfast lake eat up guys. Eat up at the breakfast. And i'm like whatever the fuck this breakfast is. I'm going to eat up and it was this like covered off area outside and there was like. I'm not even exaggerating a plate. Two plates the size of a pizza box yeah. One of the pizza box plates had fruit on it. one of them had like tiny little pastries. And and you couldn't serve yourself because of cocoa and so you had to go up and be like can i. Can i have morning another and another there was like a shame element. Nfl like the food was running out so meeting. Like two pieces of little watermelon. Do little croissants by the way. This is fine. Yes just like i'm not saying the torah was bad or like prepared. But i'm ashamed person so i can't give me thirteen pastry. Yeah but i'm terrified. I'm gonna run out of energy but that's just my dumb food stuff. Well yeah but there is like a so. I think a very weird it is why it's an adventure is it's so it completely out of here completely in the hands of somebody else and as we were going deeper to into the open ocean where you can't see any land where like an hour and a half from the nearest land. I really was like this is this is risky. And it's not really like they have votes and they have communication and stuff just like it is something that feels very unnatural about it just being in like a speed boat going into absolute three. Sixty bluewater yeah. Further and further and further. You're going and after an hour. The motor died the motor. So this is this is a really fun though. I know because we are friends from utah. We were making jokes because they said don't they gave us bananas but then they said eat it before you get on the boat bananas on the boat. And that's like a captain superstition and the the guy from utah. Who were friends with and loved was like that's ridiculous precision bananas his bag and we were like if something happens as roma's banana boy and manta boy he again. So good natured. It's fine if i'm being honest i was like. Yeah who cares. It's two bananas. He also he was very athletic. And i think he was planning on ripping ass the term means forwarding really exerting in like chasing those whale sharks with muscles. I just totally rip announced. So i think he wanted some carbohydrates people do but he did have secret bananas and flake forty five minutes into being in the deep blue ocean. "Don't take her in limited. Do not take this pardon limited unless you know playing physical magic and you just want money because i this is going to hold value. We'll see we'll see we'll see. I think it might get the gate if someone can make a really good standard deck with this. It could be dangerous I think it's very good. I think it'll be another way. You can build. This is god tribal. I think this will be a pretty good. God tribal commander. So you get all the gods five cutler you run that new card world tree that has the ability tap seven i think or whatever put every god from your deck onto the battlefield so i think this could be a fun god tribal i think most people do super friends. I think it's very cool but again do not do this. Unlimited all right except for the one kaba. Yeah if it's if it's if it's got money value then you can take that. Will i believe we're going to move onto your your top pick now. Yes or tough. Day between casino is called mystic reflection. That was in my honorable. Mentions so i will point that out. Yeah it's a very cool card. It's one in blue for an instant you can tell it. I don't think you're going to be for telling it a lot. In my opinion. I think it actually costs more to foretell this. Yes sir like its cost so low. I don't really see if if you have the manager for tell it unless you are just lacking a blue. Manna you have the manager. Cast it normally. Yeah like unless you have a deck that cares about for synergies. Don't tell us. So what does it do. Choose target non legendary creature. That's next time. One or more creatures or planes walkers entered the battlefield this turn they enter as copies of the chosen creature. So there's this is one of the reasons. I love this card is it's interesting. There's a lot of avenues impacts. You can go down in a lot of different things. So let's first talk about this using it on your own stuff. So let's say you're in is a deck and you have a terror. The peaks out which is a five four reagan. Whenever a creature enters the battlefield you deal damage equal to its attack to target opponent not to to target anything. And.

"Like. I'm gonna turn so many so rings into birds. I'm just telling you that. Like here's bird have fun. So that's my third pick. Okay my third pick kaya. The inexorable very cool. I i have an actual enjoyment of lanes walkers. I know that There's complained to planes walkers. So i do like the use of the ghost counters so he can plus one chi to put it goes from counter and so when it dies instead it goes back your hand you get a spirit You know so. It's a fun way to avoid being killed. You can mind the street exile that works pretty well for kaya and then there is the old which is an emblem and i love emblems because there is no emblem removal. Why love emblem the broken reason for. There's one way one way actually to player removal in karn. Now the resigned like emblems because basically it's a high risk high reward. We'll get into a car that kind of fun with that. But i have a ward where you have to invest a lot of resources into getting something that dramatically alters your game for the rest of the game. They do have a tendency in commander to paint a target. On whatever is the source of the emblem though an jr what. This emblem lets. You do is Castle legendary spell from your hand your graveyard or from among your cards. In exile wedged has to be a legendary. Yes but basically a this. Let's you deal with the fact that someone's going to remove your fun cards and put them into exile because exile used. The place for stuff goes to never. Come back but wizards decided. That's not fun anymore. I actually i like things that can get out of exile. I think it's cool reading that. It's an exile paul. So i like that. And it's an emblem so that's fun. I'm waiting there's going to be emblem removal in within the next few sets. It's going to come. No no never will never will. You don't think so. I i feel like they've designed emblems in such a way that it's supposed to be something you can't touch. They they might add. Emblem hate where it's like if target opponent.

"Say two one two two one or two and you'll have that confusion on arena. It will do for you. D three so you get uber. D three your your nerd. I feel like they're starting to design cards for rena like for in mutate our mechanics. That would be kind of messy. I think in paper sometimes but they're really good on arena is basically like arenas they're only really making cards for which is funny because they've said they're not going to design cards for arena. Just in case of you know things that break it hardware wise like too. Many goddamn tokens but evidence shows otherwise. So that's not all it does because otherwise it would just be the best car ever counterparts bell. Choose a random number. Why are we choosing a random number dad. We just are timmy. we just are So whatever number you get you mail the controller of whoever you're countering mills that many cards and then they exile cards from their library until they it. That doesn't share a name with countered spell and then they get to cast that spell for free right now and in the rest of the cards. Go back on the bottom of the library in a random order so it is counter. Spelled fused with chaos work. It's cameras spell but there is a risk to it yet. 'cause other spell they get they get to play. Which is why it didn't make my list. Yeah so here's the thing there's two ways you can use this the smart way. Well actually there. They both have their marriage. So if you're using it as a counter spell never counter anything that's less than five. Cmc like like. I'm going to opt in your like. I'm gonna cantor that off and then they like They go into gin and turn one eight man uganda. I win the game and be like that was fun. Never do that. never do that. if they cast ugandan always counter with this because like what what are they gonna even if they Go into a seven man card. That's really good. It's not like you only use this to counter the card that wins the games like you counter and you counter and sometimes you counter again. This card is just to counter ugandan standard. I think in limited counter anything this five cm syrup because your opponents deck probably isn't going to have that many greetings in it because it's limited so everything there is probably worse than their five mana card.
