Also the way that there you are allowing sanctuary cities as they call them and the immigration crisis that's still gripping California. So those are some of the reasons that the mechanics of this recall everybody in California all the registered voters who are active on the roles received a ballot in the mail with two questions on Question one Should the governor be recalled and question to who should replace him. Now, if there's more than 50% of the vote for the recall, will look to question two. And whoever gets the most votes, no matter what the percentage maybe will become the next governor right now in that Pool of 46 candidates. Larry Elder Conservative radio talk show host is the leading candidate to replace Newsom. If he has recalled. All right now, when this first started out, it looked pretty much you know, like it was going to be a slam dunk for Newsome. And then comes as you just mentioned Larry Elder now, Newsome. Refers to elder as being to the right of Donald Trump. First of all, I don't know if that's even possible in this country, but that kind of has, I think, shifted things back towards Newsom's favor. On. It seems to have essentially, you know, over the summer in the middle of the summer, it looked like Newsome was in trouble. But as we look at more of the polling numbers now, which, by the way are very soft, so don't take any of those numbers to the bank. But what they're basing them on now. It seems that as it looked like Larry Elder would be the replacement with 28% support. That turned off a lot of California voters who might go for a moderate Republican like well, like with Schwarzenegger some years ago, But elder may be too conservative for that very blue state of California well in elders put his foot in his mouth quite a few times as well. Uh, yes. He certainly tasted his own shoe leather more than once. But that happens when you especially when you're on the radio every day, and yeah, that's turned off a lot of people. I think the Texas abortion law has really also spurred a lot of women to be more concerned about how this vote goes in California, and that may also have heard elders chances but again. It's a big question mark that these mail in ballots we don't know who's gonna drop them in the mailbox. Okay, well, you mentioned the abortion law. So let's throw that into the mix the abortion law, immigration economy covid. For the most part, is it the you know which side of the fence you're on on covid going to be probably the deciding factor here whether he's recalled or not. Yeah, I'd say it's management of cold it and how it's affected the economy. You know, you've also had a lot of disappointment with the governor when he was caught eating at a fancy restaurant. I kind of just urge everyone to go vote like as soon as you can. Months ago when they kicked off the recall campaign. Republicans have said even Democrats would vote to toss news amount because of his strict covid rules. But since the leading Republican Larry Elder is so far to the right and would end Covid rules completely, it seems that would be too far for many Democrats in this state when I become governor To the extent that they're still mandates for state workers to be tested once a week and to wear face masks at work. This is about more than covid that if Democrats don't take the time to vote, the California could be run by a leader who would make it more like Texas or Florida. This problem needs to be fixed, and Gavin Newsom has made it worse, gotten ugly at campaign stops this last week, an egg thrown, an elder punches were thrown and elder was rushed to a vehicle and taken away, a woman showed up wearing a gorilla mask. Later today, the school board for the Los Angeles Unified School District is scheduled to vote on a proposal that, if passed, would require all L, a unified students, 12 and older to be fully vaccinated for covid by January. In order to continue with in person classroom instruction. If approved, the vaccine mandate would be one of the most aggressive responses to the pandemic yet by an American public school system. Under the proposal, the first students required to receive vaccinations are those involved in school athletic activities. They'd have to start getting vaccinated no later than October. 3rd other students would need to get their first vaccination by November, 21st. With the final day to vote in the gubernatorial recall election just five days away. But of course by now, everybody's received their ballot in the mail. California's recall system, actually, uh, Republican could win. In some strange ways. If you haven't been keeping up kind of break down, how this is gonna work, So we know California is a blue state. There's no there's no denying that Democrats outnumber Republicans 2 to 1. So you already know that But the way the election this, uh this recall works. Governor Newsom has to have majority of the votes. If he has to have that now. So the first question that you'll receive on the ballot should Governor Newsom be recalled. Voters get to answer yes or no. The second question if Newsom is recalled who should be his replacement, and that's where voters are presented with 46 candidates, Republicans, Democrats and others. 46 My goodness, at that point, you just close your eyes and throwing a dart. But not Newsome. Newsome's not on there. So you know if you did not know that you do that. I love me some Gavin. Well, Gavin is not going to be on there. So f y when it comes to that now, the bizarre this is where it gets where it gets interesting. He needs a majority win as I mentioned, But if he doesn't it would then go to whoever received the most votes, even if it's only say 23% of the vote, as Larry Elder has done it from two recent polls. Of course, we've talked about him earlier today, so he is the leading candidate When it comes to the Republican side of things, the person who really could give Gavin Newsom A challenge here. Now, if you are Republican who, of course, going back to what you say? Why did we get here? Well, they got here because Governor Gavin Newsom. Many are upset with the way he handled the pandemic specifically. Starting with him closing everything down. So you have, of course, the fiscal Uh aspect of this the money aspect jobs businesses being closed. Folks are saying, Hey, I needed to work. You close everything down. I believe you may have done it prematurely or may have done it excessively. Uh And then you also have the aspect of him telling him Hey, Jennifer, you can't go here. You can't do that. Mind you I'm going to be at a nice dinner with a bunch of friends, massless. That photo did him no justice. But if you already were, let's say, uh, Republican voter That picture or no picture didn't matter to you. Meaning you were gonna if the if the voting him out, a recall on him was happening. You were going to do that, regardless, because that is how we operate. Now it is strictly Gang related in a sense, I am this I'm that I'm a left. I'm right. I'm Democratic public. I don't care about anything else. Will actually hold on before you let me just let me lay out the facts. I don't care Actually here that the real statistics say I don't care. I am a left. I'm a right. I'm a Democrat or Republican. That is it point blank. If you're going social media sometimes you would think something is the way that it is based off of that, because so many folks are screaming, and that's what's happening here in California, where the passionate folks the folks who are passionate about this recall Are Republican. They are incited about it. They're the ones getting people out to vote. Where those who may have voted for Governor Gavin Newsom. Like I gotta work. I got kids. He'll be all right. He's fine. Last. I heard he had a majority. Vote still, you know, we're in favor of him. I think 50% favorable rating. He'll be all right. And that's the scary part for Governor Gavin Newsom is that people are going to be banking on the fact that he'll be right. There's enough people. It's one of those all somebody else will do it for me. Someone else to do it for me. I don't have time today. What day is it? I'll be busy. Fill out your ballot. Mail it back. Not I don't. I got other stuff to do The game sports coming back football be here in a week or so. I'm all right. You know? They've got it. But you got to be careful if you are Democrat and you're worried. Well, Republicans are going to get out there. This is a different electoral demographic, right? You're not. This isn't the normal time in which we all vote, and this is not when you're used to it right. This is an election season where you all feel patriotic. I'm going to show my patriotism. This is sneaky and that it creeps up on you. September 14th will be here before you know it. Well, I was just looking around my neighborhood taking the dog for a walk last night, and it's not a whole bunch of Don't recall Governor Newsom signs all over the neighborhood. It's a recall. Governor Newsom Signs Save California Recall Governor Newsom I saw nobody that had something in their yard. That was four Newsome into your point. That just shows the activism that the people who want him out are going to great lengths to get him out. And the people who want to keep him in or a little bit. It seems resting on their laurels and the reason why that is is because he is not. You don't go all in for him. You might. You might not dislike them. You might be a Democrat and say I voted democratically, you know, so there that's my choice. Yeah, He's good. But he's almost too perfect. Jennifer Here's the Manchurian Candidate.
