"Experts weekend right here on 173 FM and am five video Orlando's news and talk If you have questions about anything tech related Go ahead. Give us a call E for 458093 to 6. That's 84458093268445809326 Tech talk is brought to you by refresh computers. I'm Nick Reynolds and with me today from Refresh computers is our tech guru. Andre Class and Andre. I know that we're going to get to our three big things in tech. We look forward to it every single week where we go through the biggest stories in technology, But before we do that, what do you say? We answer some questions. Let's go to line one and talk to Fred in Winter Park. Fred, Welcome The tech talk. You're on with Andre Class. What's your question? Thank you very kindly. I've been getting, uh, attempts at updates. I presume it's it's Microsoft and, uh, they they, uh, couple times a week, and they attempt to do the update and tell me not to shut my computer off and all that thing and and for about 10 minutes, they do something with it. And the numbers changed and so forth on how much is completed, and when they get up into the high nineties? Suddenly it stops and, they say, unable to complete the updates, undoing. Changes. And then that takes another 10 minutes for them to unwind all that stuff and shut down. They never safe. Why they can't complete it like Is there some something on my computer that they can't get through or have they got, uh, the wrong approach? I don't I don't understand why they just repeated and repeated and repeated and don't get anywhere and they don't tell me anything to do. That might help the situation. Yeah, Unfortunately, Fred, when you have issues with Windows updates, Unfortunately, this isn't usually the type of problem that user would be able to fix on their own and windows update failures can happen for a variety of reasons. One possibility is that the download for the update itself had been corrupted. And and, of course Windows would try. When it's trying to do updates. It will always repeatedly try to do that up, then it's not going to stop until it succeeds. There's no way to stop the update. So one possibility might be that we might have to try clearing the windows update cache and disk cleanup. Uh and then see if Windows can read, download fresh and then, uh, subsequently installed successfully. Another problem might be if there's corruption in the operating system itself, or even possibly bad sectors. On the hard drive that are out there is also possible. Causing the issue and short. Unfortunately, this would be something that you probably would need to bring into our stores so we can perform basic evaluation for you. Um, it might be something that we'd have to check into attempt to do a windows repair or optimization, And sometimes even viruses can cause up the issues as well. So If you if you're able to bring it by, um I know we're open till five today, and we don't require any sort of appointment to look at it. And then from there, we should be able to figure out what's going on and offer you a cost effective solution for you. Who will be great. I bought it from James years ago. And he usually takes good care of me when I come in, and I've been meaning to call him about this. And I thought since it was kind of a slow day today, For both of us that both you and I that I might give you a call and see if you had an answer, but I I thought it's a waste of everybody's time for them to take about a total of about 20 minutes through the whole procedure that they fail on every time and they never say you need to You need to have this done to your computer. You need to do this or that to get it moving, You know, but I'll be sure and make arrangements. Uh, when it's convenient for James, and we'll see what's wrong. Thanks. Absolutely your suggestions. Hey, you're most welcome, friend. Of course, we appreciate joining us. And of course, we want to waste this little of your time as possible. And we appreciate you joining us on the air today. And the James is our senior technician in our service department. So when you're bringing in one of us here at the straw, be glad. Take a look. And then, um, if you do check it in for repair, James O close likely be the one that would be working on it. That would be great. Thank you very kindly. You're most welcome, Fred. And again Thank you for joining Tech talk today. And if you want to take Fred's line Oh, you have to do is dial on your phone toll free 8445809326 again, 84458093 to 6. And then, of course, you can get your question answered on the air as well. That's right. You're listening to tech talk here. Brought to you by refresh computers. He is our tech guru Andre class and I'm Nick Honowitz. Andre, uh, want to get to the three big things in tech here in just a moment I promised, but that's an interesting problem that Fred is having is it Is it as you mentioned? I mean, this is something that you're going to have to kind of get a diagnostician on the kind of look at and see what the deal is. But Could it just be something like a memory issue on the computer? Do you see this a lot, I guess and computers that are brought in. Well, I mean, issues with when those updates can happen for a variety of reasons, And sometimes you can have one person call and say, Hey, I'm a blue screen. How much is it going to be fixed it well, Blue screen issues. For example, there's so many different error codes are so many different causes, and sometimes there's just certain problems just like with Windows update issues that May require having the computer in person to be able to rent some tours. And a lot of computer troubleshooting is really a process of elimination that sometimes you have to test this, okay? It's not that it must be something else. And it's There's a lot of, uh, different ways that troubleshooting and trying to resolve the computer issue can go sort of, like, uh, sort of like Alice in Wonderland. Um, Basically, you're going down down the rabbit hole of trying to repair this. And of course, there's so many different ways are so many different tunnels that, uh, there or Or directions that you could potentially go to lead to the inevitable cause and appropriate and appropriate remedial actions. Now there's just a process. You're going to have to go through there. And, of course, uh, like you said, you bring it in and refresh computers will definitely take care of. We appreciate Fred. For his call. And if you just like Fred have a question, 8445809326 is that number and Andre will answer that question. All right, let's get to the three big things in tech. We look forward to this every single week where Andre gives the three biggest stories from the tech industry. He scours those headlines and collects them all week and then finally pares it down to the three most interesting stories. Andre, Where do you want to start in the three big things in tech? Well, neck. You remember about nine or 10 years ago when Google originally tried to unveil smart eyewear called Google Glass, and then it turned into a big flop, and then we haven't really heard much about the subject and a long time Well, now Facebook and Ray ban Are teaming up for a new smart glass arrangement which essentially incorporates, uh, display and cameras and other features into They're popularly styled, uh, type of glasses. So this this new family product is called Ray bans stories, and the idea is that people be able to take pictures and videos. Listening to music and even make phone calls through the glasses, and they're going to be around $300. Of course, uh, a lot. That's uh Is indeed rather stylish, and it's so far one of the most, Um Meyer and one of the most everyday incorporation of smart technology in Iowa today. Of course, As people know, however, people are always concerned about Facebook and their handling of data and the fact that, uh, literally people are going to be walking around with my glasses. With pictures with photo and video cameras right on the front of them, which which, of course, covering them would actually constitute a violation of the terms of service for owning these glasses. Because apparently the Facebook police are going to somehow know if you're taped over your camera and guests and people to snatch your glasses for violating the terms of service while you're on the street. Now, that's Probably not going to happen..

"I'm in seldom on at sea. You can have one main business and get a fictitious name for each of those. And the money. You make up the fictitious name all kind of flows up to the same big Main business. Um, and that's good, because then you don't have to have so many like each business that you have. If it's making money, you need bank accounts and tax returns. And all that. Um, so if you do a fictitious name, it's a lot simpler, an easier But, um, if you do a fictitious name, you only have to renew those every five years. But then if you forget to renew it, then you lose it. So we help people with that to a lot of times like they just forget that they have to do that every five years. So we could get it back for you, but it's easier kind of just calendar and remember it. Um, Also, when you get a fictitious name you've got to advertise in the newspaper, which is super weird, but you do. Um serious legal reasons for that, but nobody cares. Um, you have to advertise it on how to get You actually do, because I mean, the whole idea between fictitious name is is like basically, um, so somebody could find you if you wrong them that they have advertised advertising, like kind of put them out in the world. Because, like, say, you own a trucking company or something. And then you keep changing the name of it. You get in an accident. Then you change the name and then nobody can find you again. Like that's why you have to have a fictitious name just to keep people from just opening up all these names and then they can't somebody can't find you. If you do something wrong, which again you're like, who would do that? But it happens a lot with contractors. I've had, like pool companies do it. It tends to happen a lot with contractors. They will open a fictitious name and then just kind of like change to switch the business to another business. Um, it's I mean, it's to try to save the consumer. What did you think about it like that? It makes a whole lot of sense. But that's why you advertise it. Kind of like to make the paper trail to help show who owns each name so that somebody could come find you. If they have to got it got it. That does that. That does make sense because you could kind of just play a shell game there or you just change the name over and over again, and then people will eventually Give up. So if you have to renew this now, you said, if you're if you're renewing for your business, it's once every year for a fictitious name is once every five years. Is this something where it's just on you to remember it? Do you get some sort of a warning or a reminder? Kind of what I need to renew my tat like if if the city didn't didn't send me of a letter saying, Hey, it's time to renew your tags. I never would. I would be getting tickets left and right. Yeah, No, nobody remind you ever so That's why so many people forget, um, when we had when we have for our business client. Suddenly we keep a huge spreadsheet and then like we have and do every month until it gets done. Um And then if you go way, so I mean, we're always here. But if we like I said, you are lines get on a spreadsheet, but otherwise, no, there's no remembering, especially with the fictitious name. It's kind of it's pretty easy to lose track of something after five years of year, three or four or not even thinking about it, So yeah, it's on you to remember. Wow, I would forget immediately. I would I would that would not work out. Well, for me. She is Jennifer angler from the Orlando Law Group. You have a question for Jennifer. Any legal questions? You can, of course, give us equality for 458093 to 6. That's 8445809326844580932. Six right here on laying down the law is presented by the Orlando Law Group. Jennifer, I guess if if you're beginning this process you said what? Give yourself about a month in terms of renewing your, is it? Is it a business license? Is that what is renewing your business license? Well, we'll talk about business licenses to that's a good point with a lot of people forget that that this is basically establishing your entity, like going to sun bits and making a business. This is just like kind of getting the name basically and saying who owns that? Got it. Okay. Yeah. So you're okay. Got that? So? Yeah, you You said about a month or so right that people should take in order to do it. Yeah, I like it because it's just so much slower now. And, um so, yeah, You need to go get a bank account because, yeah, That's the kind of thing like would be good to get a business bank account. They want to see that you're on SUNBIZ. So it didn't used to be a big deal. And now it is, But you have your somebody who you're going to get a customer tomorrow. You're going to buy property in a week like you're pretty much too late now. Almost, unfortunately, But we've got a way to do it. It used to be real quick. Um, but, yeah, If you're planning on a business, you should be planning about a month ahead. If you're going to need a bank account, or that made official name for any reason, but bank accounts, usually the biggest one. Okay. Okay. That definitely makes sense. Says she is Jennifer angler with the Orlando Law Group. You have a question for Jennifer. You can. Of course, get that question to us at 84458093 to 6. That's 844580932684458093 to 6. "D when we can get that thing in there and get it took care of You know, with something like this being that off the wall. You take that car in the wrong place everyone to try to sell you a motor, but it's going to probably need a valve cover because it's got the crankcase ventilation system. It's got a diaphragm in it. And when it gets to a certain pressure, it causes it to go ahead into the induction system. But when that valve goes bad, there's nothing to block it. And what it does is it creates a vacuum and literally just suck the oil right straight out of the motor. But I'll put I'll put it this away on that to four motor. That is the most common thing and it's very, very common. You can probably Google it and see the same thing. You know, it's just You know your oil disappearing and it be due to that crankcase vent system that is integrated, incorporated and built into the valve cover on those And I believe GM actually did A, uh, an update on that, uh, that I don't know if it's any better than want to come on it from the factory, but that's going to have to be replaced.
