After three years of little rain or snow, California has been hit with about 12 powerful storms since December, governor Gavin Newsom is lowering the number of water use restrictions from 81 to 33. We're eliminating that 15% voluntary requirement or voluntary conservation target. The U.S. drought monitor says most of California is no longer in a drought. A Prayer to Seek First the Kingdom of God

"Seeking God's kingdom before anything else is a crucial step to finding the right balance in our lives. Regardless of the turmoil around us, when we fix our eyes on Jesus, all other things pull in for our attention will settle into their proper place. Our off balance lives will feel more centered. More peace. Seeking first the kingdom of God will put our focus in the perfect alignment. Let's pray. Dear lord, thank you for understanding our hearts. Thank you for caring about the condition of our hearts and listening when we pray. You are a loving, compassionate savior. Jesus, lately I felt off balance. Fear and worry over present circumstances in our future affect my ability to find peace and joy. There are so many issues in this world. Yet you knew we would struggle with this. So you spoke words that offer hope. We have those words recorded in the Bible to remind us to seek your kingdom first. Matthew 6 33. When we do, everything else will fall into place. Thank you for the Bible. Thank you for meeting our every need as we focus on you. Help us read your words and scripture as those you are right here with us. Speaking to us personally. Because you are. Help us focus on you first every day by starting each morning in prayer. You know what we will face today, and we trust you to provide. Thank you for giving us hope. May your will be done in our lives. Today, in every day. In your holy name we pray. Amen.

"AP sports I'm Josh rowntree. We start on the NBA where Memphis took a game over Dallas with multiple stars sidelined. Correspondent Robert Stevens has more. Desmond baines scored 23 points as the Memphis Grizzlies completed a two game sweep of the Dallas Mavericks, one O four 88. Naz played without Luka Dončić and Kyrie Irving both injured while the grizzlies were again without John morant. Memphis coach Taylor Jenkins says his team up this defensive intensity in the second half. Come out of halftime with just a renewed energy and mentality. Hey, we got to raise our level both sides of the floor. We made a couple adjustments defensively that paid off for us, which got us going with our groove on offense. And obviously that third quarter kind of changed the game. David roddy and Dylan Brooks had 19 apiece from Memphis while Jaden hardy led the Mavs with 28. Josh green at 23. Bob Stevens Dallas. In Houston, the rockets knocked off the Celtics one 11 one O 9. And jabari Smith scored 24 to lead the young rockets, one of the best teams in the league, where it was in the finals last year, you know, just competing with him. You know, going down to the wire like that with a great team like that. It's just real promise in this room. It's really good for us. The bucks beat the kings one 33, one 24. Giannis Antetokounmpo poured in 46 in the win. The warriors took down the sun's one 23 one 12 behind 38 points from Klay Thompson, including 33 in the first half. On the ice, buffalo scored three third period goals rallying to beat Toronto four three. Alex tuck at the 30 goal mark with a pair in the final frame. We kind of got back to just trying to work and make simple plays and you know I just roll over one line after another after another and it makes a huge difference out there and big news in the opening day of NFL free agency. The Raiders reportedly filled their QB void by agreeing to terms with former 49er. Jimmy Garoppolo on a three year deal worth, 67 and a half $1 million. The bears are set to give linebacker tremaine Edmonds a four year $72 million contract and the Steelers are bringing on three time all pro corner Patrick Peterson for a two year deal. Thomas Baker on the Politicization of the FBI

"The privilege of speaking to Thomas baker 33 year veteran of the FBI, someone who just testified in front of Jim Jordan's committee, just days ago about the collaboration that we have seen. The politicization of the FBI working with big tech, this is all a nightmare, these things are threats to democracy is putting it a little mildly, but the book is called the fall of the FBI. So Thomas baker, please continue. Where are we? Where do you see these things going? Well, what they Twitter revelations that Twitter files have documented is that the FBI are certainly a team within the FBI of analysts and agents where direct collaboration collusion, if you will, with Twitter and other social media companies to suppress, to monitor free speech, that's something the federal government should never be doing. The constitution, the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights, guarantees, freedom of speech, and of course dream of press and religion as well. And the FBI in the past was always, we would train and talk, we would have be guarantors of those first ten amendments and not to see them as any obstacle or challenge. What happened here with Twitter and this is very well documented now when people on the right and the left should both be upset about this. The FBI who would be forbidden as part of the federal government to monitor speech to sensitive speech, they engage Twitter and Twitter private company went and suppressed speech and the initial rationale for it was they didn't want to see Russian collusion while Twitter now in the Twitter files have told us there was very little Russian a foreign interference. It was the speech of Americans, even sarcasm and jokes with censored. That is very threatening, very frightening. And it is so different from the FBI I grew up in.

Eric Welcomes FBI Veteran Thomas Baker

"Today is Thomas baker, a 33 year veteran of the FBI who has written a brand new book called the fall of the FBI, how a once great agency became a threat to democracy. It's a, it's a major thing for someone like you who obviously joined the FBI, what? Over 50 years ago to come to this very heartbreaking conclusion, Thomas, where did you grow up? It sounds like you grew up in the New York area. Well, you're right about that, Eric. I grew up in New York City. I joined the FBI in New York City at the young age of 21, so as I said at the beginning of this interview, essentially the FBI has been my entire adult life. And so there's nobody who could see better from the inside what we're talking about. You saw this happen. Do you think that there's hope for the FBI? Because the part of me that when I see these institutions, these three letter agencies weaponized and politicized, I want to say defund the FBI. In other words, the idea that these people charged with protecting Americans would become politicized and would, in many cases, become the enemies of patriots. What they did to Roger Stone, what they did to so many others, it's nothing less than despicable and horrifying and I, I don't know enough to know what one can do, but it is astonishing to me that that level of politicization could be happening. Where do you see, do you see hope that it could be depoliticized at this point? I am by my own nature, always an optimist. And that is why I wrote the book. And that's why I'm on shows like yours, talking about this urging the FBI to reform. I love the FBI. I would not personally advocate defunding it, although I realized that's a tool of constitutional tool that Congress has to bring about pressure.

Democrats Join Republicans to Block DC Crime Bill

"Yesterday in the united states Senate, 33 Senate Democrats joined along with the Republicans to block D.C.'s crime bill. The capitulation of the Democratic Party and the collapse of the house Democrats is almost complete. The house Democrats who thought that they were going to do the president's bidding because he kind of signaled that he wanted them to cover his Flank and oppose a piece of legislation offered by the Republicans that would have overturned a ridiculously weak D.C. crime bill, they said, okay, yes, boss, we're right there with you, boss. We're gonna back up Boston a 173 House Democrats voted to basically let criminals out of jail even easier than they already are. And reduce penalties for crimes. So what happened? The House passed it anyway. It goes on to the Senate and in the process of moving from the house to the Senate. Joe Biden had a change of heart. There's only one problem with Joe Biden's change of heart. He didn't consult with the House Democrats who walked the plank for him first. And he said, you know, I don't think I'm going to veto that after all. What happened? Well, among other things, a democratic member of the House of Representatives got a cost in an elevator in D.C.. Crime is out of control in the District of Columbia. And even though Joe Biden in the Democrats would love to have two more democratic senators out of the District of Columbia making it the 51st state, they're starting to realize that rising crime is kind of a bad look for them and it's not going to do much for their electoral chances down the road. And they've got to start looking a little tougher on crime, even if they don't really believe it at their core. They have to at least look the part.

Xm just gonna divided on a personal level. Guess what. I started trying to be a vegan. Well over the last two or three or four weeks. I've started to be a vegetarian without eating any meat in it worked. And don't get me wrong Not trillion favor of animal safety in anything. But i just recall that while i was a sri lanka for two weeks. I didn't eat meat. I feel energized and it. Did you know what started. Will i said what if i can do one day without meat and i did than To and then it kind of went five. Six seven i continued. I'm a main mediator. So i'm gonna get back to meet in a last week actually had hamburger but don't get me wrong in this four weeks. I just had one hamburger. Milk stuff cheese white cheese ill. Cheese sweetened his man. That's going to be a heartfelt. And since sunday i kinda critical fit so monday. I didn't touch it sunday friday. Come on i five days without cheesy stuff. So here's the deal. I started realizing some really interesting stuff for example. Well if you have led to read tuna. That's actually a vegan stuff. But i'm not vegan. I'm gonna eat my eggs. As until i'm living so don't get neuro vegas. I can do without meat. I can eat redoubt cheese but agassi something. I don't really remember. But you know what it's real easy small tweaks. I thought it would be sewing convenient but dan. I've kind of when i said i'm going to give up the the meat. It was real easy. I will surprise so said. I'm giving up meat I'm going. I'm ordering toast sink well instead of so i mean choose. Just give me the cheese. When i order a pizza i still do that. I said just well with all the pepperoni result amid it's just. I don't know the name but just cheese cheese cheese pizza and that was real easy. I mean i go to restaurant. Our played the Fried vegetables or stuff. And i didn't concern myself is i'm in trouble because i mean it was not a headache but now this week. This five days was while. I wanted to eat macaroni and in macaroni. You know you put cheese. You put a lot of heavy stop. But now i had would spinach. Spinach and Beans and while it was tough. But then i actually got the different view. You know when you have your favorite food food. You can over stuff and you're gonna feel bad for at least one or two hours while. Guess what if you get the food. That your disgust by you. Don't like you're gonna just just a bit so you can feel yourself on hungry. That's it so really interesting case with the food because five days no meat no milk products for me with the meat i can survive amid the could survive without the white cheese yellow cheese guy without the dink tough wa dominion gets really short enough so the whole point why why started. "Minutes. Learn more at cleo dot com slash spotify. David what's on your mind today. Sexy from a few days ago. But i had this damn because they really wanted to get your thoughts on the matter. The guy that. I follow one twitter. Who is you know mostly for his wrestling insights. His twitter handle is Five four trae seven right now is right now is handled is bad news brown chief rock. I actually don't know who he is. But he's brilliant He tweeted this on august second beginning of the month. I'm not surprised by the reports of other teams wanting to join the sec. It's the most powerful division especially with texas and oklahoma added as i said before it's eighties wwf and they're getting the best draws from the territories. Either you join up or you fight a losing battle now as a proud texas longhorn one. I'd actually don't know how you emotionally feel about joining the evil empire but my real question for you is in eighties wrestling terms. What wrestler is the university of texas joining. Oh sec so definitely not hulk hogan no right where we're talking like so if if if people don't follow college football texas a very prestigious program that has won a less than prestigious number of games over the last forty years fifty years of college football. Yeah yeah so. We're not looking at somebody that would be a very famous wrestler from the eighties We're why should we be. Somebody's famous wrestler from the as being particularly successful wrestler from the and not and certainly not the hulk hogan of wwf. It's not. You're not walking in the door as the as the headliner. And i would also say not not at admired wrestler from the eighties by people who are smart about college football Because as far as i can tell people that think about the university of texas at all just make fun of the university of texas. Yeah so yeah. I mean you're going to have to help me here. Who who is that from a couple of ideas that come to mind number one. And this is in no way to demean the wrestler. He's just not. The wrestler is junkyard dog because he was at his prime down. South was like the biggest wrestler in the world. Like you know sold out sold out the silver dome you know i mean just like it was a weight is that that's not the silverdome superdome. Sorry like he sold out you know football arenas in in louisiana and mississippi. I mean he was just a super duper star and he was a big name that everybody loved he was big cartoon and everything when he got the wwf but he was never physically and everything else going to get back to where he was he was more of just like he was a he was a cool guy to have around and undeniably a star but never going to be hulk hogan material now as the other sounds like boise state to me no and he was the biggest stars in the world. I mean just the but you're right. Okay so here's another one million dollar man ted. Drc actually. i've taken back. I'll just say ted de blasio. Because when he was working in mid south he was a big big star. I mean he he was just teddy biassa he was like a regular tough guy and he was one of the biggest dudes one of the most popular performers in the world but especially in the south and the in his region and then when he eventually signed on with wwf. That old stick wasn't going to work and it just by the grace of vince. Mcmahon and other forms of serendipity. He reinvented himself as the million dollar man and found a place in the modern world so that would be the hopeful. Look the texas somehow thanks to somehow becomes a headliner by dint of turning heel and know putting on a sequence suit so i think you hit it exactly right and there's an additional reason which is that texas is really good at making money. Not so good at winning football games. So essentially texas has won the million dollar belt of college football Where you have a title. Hey we are the million dollar champions. But we're not the actual champion. We're not the champions where it matters so yes. Texas is the million dollar man ted. Dbs's by the way one of my favorite wrestler of all time. So i'm happy. Happy to take that on our Eighties wrestling avatar. So at some point it's just gonna be like you alabama or somebody wins the alabama's hogan who would be the big. He'll of the sec. And also alabama. I think it's at some point. Alabama will win a national title and texas will buy it from them and it'll be this. It'll be the greatest villains moment in football history. Yeah alabama's both hulk in entree analogy coming up on today's show. We answer your listener. Mail about andrew and chris cuomo reinventing these spoiler riddick. Nba draft.

"The ones that Resonate the most are the ones where your listeners have. Some semblance of a of of understanding about what happened But not so much that they don't that there's not room to correct their misimpressions or to deepen their understanding. Like i think benghazi was this a again. Just like this word that that that people associate with conspiracy theory they associated with like partisan politics. But if you ask someone to like a tell you what happened during the attack They probably won't be able to tell you. Maybe they've seen thirteen hours. They could tell you version of what happened if they if if they saw that movie but in terms of like who the four guys were who were killed and You know what the accusations were that were being made against the obama administration. I think most people would not be able to come up with an answer In i think as time passes you know you know. It's not been that long since benghazi. It's the most recent story we've covered by far i think a lack. It's forgotten right. And i think also like decontextualize. I think most people probably don't remember that. Ben got the benghazi attack happened like on the eve of the two thousand twelve election and that it was a major plot. Point in romney. Obama race And so i think like putting putting these stories back in their place and kind of you know helping people connect the dots in their head like they might remember the two thousand twelve election. They might remember benghazi but they don't remember. They went together that they that was this pivotal attack. You know You know it's a pivotal weapon that that the romney campaign tried to wheeled against obama the night of the attack in fact i was of astonished to realize that The romney campaign sent out a press release Attacking obama for their for its response to the attack before attack was even over the attack again. This is one of these things that i didn't necessarily appreciate before starting to work on this. The attack was really to attacks There was an earlier one at the diplomatic compound where ambassador chris. Stevens was staying And there was a separate one you know. Hours and hours later on the cia compound nearby And you know. I think the romney campaign put out a press release before that second part of the attack had even happened and so just kind of goes to show you like how quickly thing was politicized. And how how eager republicans were to take any opportunity to You know make the argument. The obama administration was if not soft on terror than like incompetent on terror Which is what they thought. This was so romney. The two thousand twelve election would use the obama administration's response against obama and the obama campaign would use that. As you mentioned. I remember this from the debates and otherwise against the romney campaign as a weapon. Yeah i think the thing that people might remember is. Is this debate over whether obama had Used the word terrorism to describe the attack because one of the big Sort of controversies early. On was that the obama administration initially portrayed the attack as a protest gone wrong. There had been a bunch of protests around the world in response to this like very weird low budget video called innocence of muslims. Do you guys remember that It was like it was the latest in a string of you. Know bit blasphemous. You know free speech kind of hardline activism. You know trying to provoke muslims by using know depictions of muhammad and so is video is uploaded to youtube and it made its to egyptian television when it was translated into arabic and that inspired this pretty intense protests in cairo a against the american embassy and the american embassy in cairo. Put out a statement Basically saying that they. They condemned the video that that this was that they're offer free speech but like this video was was was wrong into they distance themselves from it but That was before the benghazi attack happened. And after the benghazi attack happened like later that night It looked like if you if you sort of like smeared or blurred. The timeline that the obama administration's first reaction to these attacks to this this attack or these attacks and sort of you know known as really making distinctions that it looked like the first reaction was to apologize for the video In fact like that apology such as it was came hours before the benghazi attack even happened and so it was interesting like after the attack. The the republican criticism of ube ministration was that they were falsely pretending that these this video was in any way connected to what happened in benghazi. But as i realized like it was the romney campaign. That did that. I by inflating the you know the cairo embassy statement about the cairo protests which were peaceful with the With the administration's response to the attack. Which hadn't happened yet so make sense. Yes this story is very confusing though. It's a it's a much more. Obviously you have six episodes and you could have done more. I mean it's a big story that we've sort of you know stored away in a little jar on the shelf since well since some point in the past at least since hillary clinton's candidacy I d did you find. How do people react when you told them you were going to do. A podcast about benghazi both in housing in the world because it seems like as necessary as this sort of is an interesting point of view. It's obviously like one of the most politicized words of you know recent memory. Yeah i mean our goal with the show is just sort of de-politicized it as much as we could and kind of restorer. Some context to the word I think like I don't wanna say most people don't even realize benghazi is the name of a city but like that's not the first thing probably most americans think of they don't realize it's a city in libya that had had its own history and you know in order to in order to understand why that attack happened and why circumstances were such that they're even american diplomats there at all Requires you to go to of go back. And tell the story of libya in american libyan relations going back to the rise of moammar gaddafi Who is a character in the podcast. You know as someone who ruled over libya with an iron fist. And you know there's a lot of famous anecdotes about how eccentric he was but he was also extremely brutal You know we started the series in episode one with the story of what's known as the abu salim prison massacre which was An incident ninety when Gaddafi's regime ordered the killing of some twelve hundred prisoners in this in this prison in in tripoli in libya and as it turned out like one of the attackers are actually multiple attackers. Who were involved in in in the attack in two thousand twelve. It's time in this prison. Under gaddafi they had come up They started battalions and militias during the libyan revolution As part of the arab spring and or were involved in in the rebel coalition but then after gadhafi was was ousted and killed i and was time to create a new government. You know that rebel. Coalition splintered..

"David what's on your mind. Today i was listening to pull back the curtain for those that. Don't you know wanted to have the curtain pulled back. Don't wanna see his underwear. Or whatever. But i was finally listening to your interview with bill walton and it didn't get a chance to talk to you on the air so i was saving it for when we got here am i. Was i wrong. When i was listening to it and occasionally checking the time on my iphone or was your did you ask one question then lead to a forty five minute monologue like is that was that pretty much with that interview. That interview started off. That is absolutely right in the first question was we were doing a revisit of david. Halberstam's the breaks of the game and my first question was bill. How'd you first meet david halberstam. And then i had all these questions laid out here on my google doc. It's gonna take readers through all stuff you know what kinds of questions of the ask. Where did he interview you that. What was your relationship like with him. Did you become friends. Fair bill to call it a friendship et cetera et cetera. He answered every one of them and then he answered thirty more questions over the next forty minutes. Gave this just kind of amazing full life. Tribute david halberstam. It was unbelievable. Not let me tell you. The biggest anxiety had during that people were people. Were you just. Do you want to like cut him off. Or someone's like no no because it was interesting like all all that matters is if it was if it wasn't interesting then i then we would have done something right edited or something like that but it was so interesting and i was like. He's saying exactly what i hoped. He would say in the sense of hope the stuff he would talk about it. I'm learning so from this. My only anxiety was what is the second question. Oh gosh yes. I mean listen. There's sometimes we're on actually helping out with a big project right now and win the subjects and serve subsequent questions we all have. We have everything they want to get out. You know pins. I in different bullet points when they answer extra questions. High-fiving fiving we're like. Oh that makes it so much more natural. That does you know it's really great. But i know when you're actually just doing like sm- podcast interview reprint interview or previous podcast interviews. The main time because printer views doesn't matter what you do but you but you're part of the broadcast right and you have an even like you know if you're being it if you're being expansive you might have twenty questions written down or something like that. And if suddenly he's swallowed eighteen of them then like you don't even have like a up prepared and then you get in your own head. You're like okay. Well what does he said. What does he like now. i'm now i'm taking notes on. What would the answer is trying to figure out what the next question is. It gets real it. It could be really really uncomfortable. Yeah that that and it just seems so like it might to seem so like small and boring after like an amazing forty minute. Answer exactly exactly. What did you guys have for lunch just to quickly. Ed i'm sorry to just to circle back to one thing about what you just said. I mean i i knew it would sound terrible and i knew it would sound just kind of really strange coming out of that but i love talking to bill. Well now he's in he was. That was an unbelievable unbelievable interesting interview. we got a lot of notes about it. That was that was different. I think next one will have a few more a few more given takes.

"All right david in the notebook dump. We are joined today by brian. Raftery excellent movie writer author of the best year ever. That is a book and now the autour behind a new long form ringer podcast gene. And roger about the iconic seminal movie. Arguing duo cisco neighbor ryan. Welcome the press box. Hey thanks for having me. This is really fun all right. So you're gonna see that. David and i have very big memories. Very big takes about cisco nieberg as artifact of our youth but for people who may be a tad younger than us. How would you describe cisco neighbor to someone who never saw the show. Wow you know. I think it's it's it's the it's the way you everyone who's young argues now accepts in person and the arguments end after five minutes in their only about movies but they're also about how everyone deals about each other. I mean they were like you know for people my age. These were the first to this. Was the first conflict i saw in popular culture was gene cisco and roger ebert arguing with one another because when i grew up watching tv. You didn't see these kind of big fights. You didn't see the grownups get outta control on television and every week. Jane's has gone rodrigue Would sit down. They would have five sometimes six movies they go through them for about three or four minutes each and they were longtime rivals became tv stars together and they had all this kind of beneath the surface tension. When they talked about you know movie like an icon of from someone like me. It was when i when i first started watching. I was really young. I mean the seven or eight. I think i just like watching. Like grown-ups fight on tv When i got older. I you know cisco uber for a lot of people including myself. This was sort of in the pre internet era. How you learn to think about movies. I learned. I heard the word cinematography. On cisco neighbor for the first time. I you know i realize you disagree with someone and still remain civil with them through cisco so they were. They were remarkably influential on people my age in terms of popular culture and thinking about it. But what kind of funny now is that. I'm still seeing young people's chairs cisco ebert youtube video. It's like it's like they're still. They haven't read movies in twenty five years and they're still relevant what they think about aliens or platoon. People are still discussing. Today it's true. You know funny the way that you talk about how they kind of shape the way that we think in. There was a sort of monoculture just in terms of the way that we learned film criticism. What struck me reading and listening to your podcasts. So far is how my perception of them. When i was a kid was is exactly the same perception. Everybody else had to write that. There was a sort of like monoculture perception of siskel and ebert. That i wasn't just i had a favorite or whatever but so describe their contrasting personalities a little bit again for the uninformed and and this sort of well film archetypes. They occupied themselves. I think roger ebert who i think because he obviously lived longer than gene and had a very big. You know sort of twitter. Imprint passed away in. Who's better known. I think but he is a little more of a film scholar at times. A little more softspoken whereas gene. Who love movies but was sort of I guess he could be a little more persnickety..

I don't know you know it's the whole point of going to a hotel even if it's rewarding it's like the is there. Do you ever go to a hotel. And not on the way in like madam at the room service wings or great here you know like i just can't they can. It's so nice to be able to wake up to like a carafe of coffee at a bacon egg and cheese sandwich sitting outside your door you know. And it's just. It's a little bit heartbreaking. This is davis message. Deductor anthony foul to reopen. The hotel restaurant got a very open. They just can't staff up. I don't know what it's it's it's it's you know there's a big problem here but still yes i miss it. I miss it. That's all member win before yelp when you'd go to the front desk of the hotel and say hey. Is there place to eat around here and they would have to do the obligatory well. I'd recommend our restaurant. I wish they could recommend the restaurant. Yes i do. Remember that they would tell you like the actual good place down the street. You're the first person ever to defend hotel. Restaurants are you. Is there anything better than just being. Okay there is things better but there are some crystallize. There's something incredibly nice about having like that one beer that you wouldn't have had if you were a car right away that less your edges till i feel that's a slightly different category but yes hotel bars immensely satisfying but i would rather have. I would rather have the sort of plus bureau say. Let's be minus like cheeseburger the at the hotel bar. And then just do it. One one shot. Then you know if you're if you're on a vacation with the intention of if you're in an eating city i'm not recommending that you go to the hotel bar like memphis you know and get your food there or new orleans or wherever you're going to just like experience food culture but if you're just there if you're if you're at the hotel for the nice hotel you know they should be able to serve up the kids a hot fudge sundae. That's all. i'm saying next week. David is gonna complain about the equality of the pretzels on southwest airlines. Not one. there's no peanuts anymore. "Has he has a good brand recognition. So i hope google changed. The name doesn't seem like they will but it would be really bad if they did that. i think they've learned from that right. Like thou bringing the nest brand back to the front again exactly. Yeah it feels like one of those kind of situations where it's like the classic consolidation of like you've got apple with the huge overwhelming dominant market share. And then you've got samsung fifth foot and google all kinds of fighting over that last. You know thirty percent or whatever. Well guess what now in the span of a fairly short amount of time they've all kind of conglomerate it together and now they're gonna try to you know do best to fight against apple and honestly i feel that's the smart move because apple has done such a great job that like you kinda can't have three platforms. That are all sort of sort of competing but they also are very much kind of competing directly over the exact same people who are just not iphone users so this seems like a good move. I'm really curious how you just merge ties. I don't think that's how it works. You just smashed the to operating systems together. i. I'd be very curious to see what it means that we're just gonna put all our api's together just roll it over into big sandwich but it does seem like it's a solid move and i look forward to seeing the next couple of years of they're still calling it s right. Even the samsung devices are going to be branded. Where west right. My expectation is yes. I don't think ties will exist anymore. Yeah i think so. It's the samsung devices. Are going to go to wear with one. I didn't mention in the the presentation. I don't know if he clarified since an but i believe it's the case a previous were Ties in devices will become where. Oh i'm the one hundred percent sure about. I think they kind of made reference to. But i'm not sure but my expectation is surely it is. Because of was there wouldn't be a we're collaborate together. I'm really excited about it. I am actually Right now talking to you on a yellow. I mak ooh. I took delivery of review unit. Of the i mac couple of hours before we recorded luckily enough. So i had a Echo coal with apple they kinda go over the product review and stuff and the present was using. The she's the max microphones and sounded fantastic. Sounded really great right like if you are doing conference calls zoom causal whatever this one hundred percent. Do a better job than pretty much anything else that you have like. It sounds better to me than using. It's like i don't like the apples. Marco williams right. Yeah i i just. I think this is more technology on there. Like i don't like the way that the airport sound like with these with this. This the the microphones on need all of apple's devices. Now to me the kind of sound like kind of not great usb microphones. which is. I think a big tick in their column because to to try and do something. That sounds halfway decent. When it's on the other side of the desk you will. Whatever i think is pretty impressive. i feel like at this point. we should just. I should just record something for this. "Has to be more limited right. You can't bring all that legacy stuff forward without time to to change the way. The operating system works changed the way that you have backwards compatibility all of that kind of stuff right so like it's hard you've gotta make a clean break at some point but do you make that clean break in twenty fifteen twenty twenty one twenty thirty at some point. You got to do it but the longer you wait the worse. It's going to be to rip that band aid off now. We're obviously not developers for all. We know microsoft could literally continue to develop windows ten as it stands. Dome make eleven twelve and everything but it'll be that kind of same base for twenty four years right. Totally possible in fact probable. There's gonna be some version of windows. There's still going to be very much based on what we use today at that point but like it does seem like there's a real trend that they keep trying to come up with whatever that next generation version of windows will be and they haven't made it happen and then you see stuff like the surface duo which is a immediately running version of android. They're developing but like how many things have they brought out. That haven't really gotten the full attention that they could. If they were how amazing the surface duo could be if it really was building some amazing version of android microsoft pouring all of these resources into it but all these things that are being side projects since really is because side project when you have the big juggernaut of windows still around instill absolutely dominating. It's it's a real predicament. That they're in and i don't see at this point they're anywhere.

She <Speech_Male> usually <Speech_Male> listening to worship music <Speech_Male> while doing it <Speech_Male> for me. it's <Speech_Male> I opened <Speech_Male> up my bible. Apres <Speech_Male> open <Speech_Male> up like bible <Speech_Male> on the <Silence> computer in a <Speech_Male> sometimes <Speech_Male> i read <Speech_Male> sometimes. <Silence> I highlight <Speech_Male> digital <Speech_Male> highlights. <Speech_Male> Sometimes i <Speech_Male> do a <Speech_Male> plan through the you <Speech_Male> version. App it just <Speech_Male> to me. It's <Speech_Male> variation <Speech_Male> and i'm not of <Speech_Male> a <Silence> you know i'd <Speech_Male> i can't. <Speech_Male> I'm not a note taker. <Speech_Male> I just <Speech_Male> never have been <Speech_Male> an <Speech_Male> even when i've tried <Speech_Male> it just like <Speech_Male> it just doesn't <Speech_Male> work for me. <Speech_Male> It's just something <Silence> that i have to <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> read <Speech_Male> and really <Silence> i can't sit <Speech_Male> in <Speech_Male> necessarily <Speech_Male> study. The word of <Speech_Male> god <Speech_Male> with a bunch of other things <Silence> going on so <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> romy. And so next <Speech_Female> week. Hopefully <Speech_Female> we will <Speech_Female> unpack more <Speech_Female> of the <Speech_Female> importance of getting into <Speech_Female> the word of god <Speech_Female> but for now <Speech_Female> we want to leave <Speech_Female> you with hopefully <Speech_Female> inspiration <Speech_Female> to spend more <Speech_Female> time in god's <Speech_Female> word as <Speech_Female> to treat it as <Speech_Female> a time of not <Speech_Female> just a quick mere passing <Speech_Female> but as <Speech_Female> a time that you <Speech_Female> look into <Speech_Female> the mirror <Speech_Female> that is the word <Speech_Female> of god in release study. <Speech_Female> It gets <Speech_Female> to know it. <Speech_Female> Search herself <Speech_Female> within it. Have <Speech_Female> god's word search <Speech_Female> you and <Speech_Female> cleanse you and purify <Speech_Female> you and <Speech_Female> build your life <Speech_Male> on that firm <SpeakerChange> foundation <Speech_Male> so if <Speech_Male> you're enjoying this <Speech_Male> please stay tuned <Speech_Male> for <Speech_Male> the next episode <Speech_Male> hopefully <Speech_Male> We'll get that out to <Speech_Male> you in the next <Speech_Male> week or two and <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> please <Speech_Male> share the podcast. <Speech_Male> <hes> <Speech_Male> subscribed <Speech_Male> platform. <Speech_Male> You're using <Speech_Male> build a <Speech_Male> finals on apple. "We can have all the degrees we want. We can have all the knowledge and had knowledge. We want but we don't always know how to apply it like some of you are thinking that you read the word god and it doesn't always make sense and so jesus was like never read or jesus told people that they're an error for not knowing scripture knowing the power got i think in matthew twenty two jesus calls people out for being air for not knowing the scriptures in the word of god so it's just if jesus stood on the authority of scripture. How much more important is that. We stand on the authority of scripture. Not just the new testament but the old testament to god and his words are unchanging. God is the same yesterday today and forever. So the god of the old testament is the god of the new testament. The god of the new testament is the data. Twenty twenty one. it's the same. God he's the alpha and omega beginning and the end and so when we are reading scriptures. And we're reading. God's throughout time and space we have to realize that god isn't limited in time and space and and god is without boundaries and without borders and he is ever present. He's here he's now he was then. He has the veils mahorn horn when jesus died on the cross at separated man from god. But he's still god. He's the creator of the universe. And i think that's so cool. David says in psalms one thousand nine verse eleven to guide to write your word upon my heart that i might not sit against you and asking god to put his word in his scriptures on david's heart so david winston against god and the bible talks a lot about two binding the word of god around your heart and and having god's word written on the tablet of your heart and how does that happen that doesn't happen from just quoting beast illinois. God it happens from being in the word of god. It doesn't happen from just buying a bag. That says something yes. Those things all help us to remember and retained scriptures. What helps us is just getting in. The word got diving. Deep into the word of god allowing the word of god to be written on our hearts. And today i was talking with my daughter. Who just kind of went through a hard season in her life. And we're talking about matthew seven verse twenty four that is generated that through twenty nine anyone who listens to my teaching and follows. It is wise like a person who builds a house on solid rock though the rain comes in torrance and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house. It won't collapse because it is built on bedrock but anyone who here's my teaching and doesn't obey is foolish like a person who builds a house on sand when the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house. It will collapse with a mighty crash today when i was talking to my daughter about a difficult thing. She's going through in her life. I talked about how it doesn't matter where you are in life and it doesn't matter who you are. You're going to have those times. The storms come in rain comes and it pours down on you and hard times are going to happen and what.

"But like why. Do i procrastinate so much there you guys. Please tell me the other moms whose life is such a big shit show and so full of procrastination that literally takes you Over to do anything and the sad part is like. I really haven't been doing a whole lot. Like i mean. I was preparing for juniors junior. Start preschool saturday. Of course i couldn't record it anyway. Both kids all day long so it's not like there was an option there. Anything on sunday. Sunday andy worked on vanina went to the grocery store sunday. Yeah and i went to the grocery store sunday I guess yeah. I guess yesterday was monday. So some explaining it to you guys for y'all to help me understand. I'm actually understanding myself. Alpha never mind scratch that anyway moving on what the hell we still don't have the van back If you don't know we dropped it off. Last tuesday on the fifth in the guy said it would be maybe the end of that week the beginning of this week before he got to it. Apparently he still hasn't done to it. Kinda winner van bat but we knew that it would probably be a while. Because andy did you know. When andy went in there to adopt off the dan give the keys to guy have fifteen keys on his desk of cards that he hadn't touched yet. So you know. Everybody got their stimulus check in. Apparently they all wanted to fix their car the same time that we had to so i'm just hoping we have it back soon because Until we get demand back. I can't go anywhere because we have that. We have the truck but the truck isn't big enough to hold me. Andy ambos carseat and like even if i don't know if we were just going to go to the park or something. We can't get enough for to just put david in his car. Seat input put junior in my lap. Like there's we all four can't fit in this in that truck so until we get the van back stuck at the house. I dated to go grocery shopping. sunday But that was because the guy that road with andy to take him back home saturday he had to go. Grocery store Sunday to and he knew that the band was down and of course when we got back from the trip from picking the guy up bringing him up here. If you guys remember pretty sure. I mentioned it before we left. Junior had turned our refrigerator off. We didn't know until we got back so all the food in our freezer and refrigerator was bad. So i had through the fucking grocery store so the guy that rode with eighty to seek out for him back home in virginia. He gave me ready grocery store. But that doesn't really count the right. I mean i love gordon grocery student giving wrong but like i wanna get the fuck outta the how. I'm ready to go some fucking wear. It suggests to work but not even really just to work because he went to the dispensary yesterday so any gets out of the fucking help. I wanna get out of the house right now. I can only. I can check the milk. Step out on our front porch. Check the mailbox. That's me getting out of the house lately. Ready any movie in back. So i can get out of the house. I don't even. I don't even care if it's to go somewhere. And the entire time where they're both kids complete fucking and trump. I don't even care. I would be a house for a few minutes. I can go on fucking stir crazy you guys guys so with all of the shit like going on recently like the storming of the capital in dc. And all that shit. I had started the show before. But i i only made it if it that pursuit and then i hadn't watched it since i forgot everything. So basically starting now It's on net flicks. It's called designated survivor I definitely feel. I feel like now is a really good time like you've you definitely should watch it Just because i feel like everything that's going that's playing out in that show is what's actually happening now and they. They made this show like before any of the storm. The storm capital or any of that happen. This show was already on netflix Like last year sometime but like if you watch it and you can see in the beginning. The stuff happening is actually what's happening now. So it's kinda like okay like i'm watching this. I can see where the stuff now is going like. I i can. You can almost watch it and prepare for what's going to happen next sort of but other than that with other than it actually relating to life right now as something other than virus. It's a really good show lake. It's.

monday virginia yesterday Sunday fifteen keys sunday saturday netflix Andy last year david Both kids vanina both kids Last tuesday on fifth that week trump beginning of this week end
