"Had the niners, but tease. But I thought that was the chiefs team. We lost with them a $1 million picks against the colts. That was the chiefs team, I thought, before the season picked them to win the Super Bowl, had them to win the division. I was the team I was waiting for. Yeah. But again, it's week 7. Last year through 7 games. Don't worry, chiefs are going to be all right. When we look for spinning it forward to the good teams, we have the bills in a spot against a packers team that this season's not looking great for them if they get knocked out. And then you have the eagles, same situation, they get Pittsburgh. And it just feels like they're headed for a collision course unless the chiefs can interrupt that. Is there anyone else you're looking at? Yes. We have those three. Is there a fourth team? Are you going to say the Bengals? I am. Okay. I think they're clicking right now. And it took a while. And I think you start looking at the Bengals in a rearview mirror about what happened in the first couple of weeks. And Joe burrow was coming off an appendix in an emergency adenoma that he had comes in. The offensive line were like, what the hell is this offensive line? It turns out, like we said with the rams, they were playing against TJ watt in one week and they were playing against Michael Parsons in another. Those guys blow up offensive lines. Some questionable play calls by Zach Taylor, which had your frustrated against the ravens. And then you see what they did against the saints and they kind of got their mojo back and then last week, that's the team that we all thought we were getting this season. That's the team that just comes out guns blazing blown out in Atlanta team and then doesn't look back. Ja'Marr chase said that the 32 yard touchdown from burrow was the best ball he's ever seen Joe burrow throw going back to college. They're talking, they've never wavered and burrow has so much swagger to him and so much confidence that you don't know what's real and what's not. It's authentic. He believes that he can go in and play against any other quarterback and get the best of them and he believes in this team. The only thing that would be holding them back would be if this offensive line can't protect him, and now they are protecting him. So I think the Bengals, it's I agree in the AFC. It's like bills and chiefs collision course and I would be so happy to see it as an ACA chip game. I think it would be a classic, but that was the case last year in the Bengals kinda threw a restaurant party. Yeah. A lot of people were on that bangles bandwagon last year, a lot. And that was late. And it was like media and it was fans. And a lot of people fled in the beginning and September. And I think that's an imprudent decision with a team like that that made the run and is still so young and had obvious quarterback who's going through some health stuff early in the season. Bill, I'm back in on the bangles. I think they're legit. We don't know what's going to happen. We're taping this before Baltimore and Tampa tonight. But right now, who do you think is favored in

"And you asked me point blank last week. Would you rather play the rams or the forty-niners and this is before the rams look, yeah, really good against the cards Monday night. And I said the forty-niners, I wouldn't want to play, I'd rather play Arizona at if I had to pick one of those three teams right now I'd rather play them. I think I'd rather play Arizona too. Well, right now it's Green Bay in the top seed. Tampa Dallas, Arizona, I'll tend for rams are dining for saint Franz 8 and 6. So San Francisco is guaranteed a 60, basically, but they do play the rams. We have some teams. Yeah. Tennessee home Houston at ramps. I won the Houston game. And 9 will be enough to get an NFC 7 seat, I think. But I think that could be ten. Well, we'll talk about that line, which was surprising to me anyway. Well, the point is there are going to be there are 5 seater succeed. And the question I ask you, you might see them in round one. And that you're going to be bummed out. I know, I don't want to play them. I want to play one Arizona to keep sliding. And just by accident, get a 7 seat. But back to zen Gonzalez, if we learned one thing this year, it's that nobody has like a backup kicker. Right. Like, how did that happen? That a punter can't make an extra point, essentially. I got 32 yard field goal. Does that surprise you? I thought everybody had one other player who could or did they have to bring in another whole other kicker if this happens. I would be so bummed out at my punter if he didn't have the ability or at least kick like 30 yard field goals. It's like, what the fuck? All you do is kick. Yeah. It would be like if Kyle could only do sports podcast, but pop culture is like we had Johnny hacker on because he was an old state grad and with the whole thing with on against all odds and I was like, wow, you really could socially distance yourself from everybody. You could go the whole season, aside from touching the same ball that the snapper gets to you, you could be 12 yards away from everybody. The entire year and I was thinking like further, like, you have a lot of downtime. Why not make yourself into a good field goal kicker or a bad fail, go kicker, but a good extra point kicker. So what do you say? Oh, I didn't ask them that. Well, a lot of.

"Now the Lions as a team, I like the lion's head coach, Dan Campbell. I'm rooting for him. I want to see him do well. I want to see Dan Campbell. Turn around at the Detroit lines, but he's got a lot of work to do. There's a lot of stuff that I saw on Thursday during Thanksgiving. The lines had ten penalties in this game. It was bad. They had a third and 32 situation. Third down with 32 yards to go two different times in this game. How does that happen twice in one game? I don't know. And then the worst thing that happened for Detroit in this game, the bears had the ball 39 on the $16 line with one minute and 54 seconds left. And the bears were down 13 to 14, and I'm thinking, okay, you got to get a stop here. The bears are going to kick a field goal, but if you can get if you can stop the bears, hold them to a field goal here. The lines are actually in good shape to get the ball with a minute 30 left, maybe. And have an opportunity to drive down the field and kick the game winning field goal. That's what I'm thinking watching. It's third and 9. It's a great spot for the lion's defense to be in. And then the lion's called two timeouts in a row. And that's a big error. You can't do that. So the lines got called for a delay of game penalty. That made third to 9 into third and four on the 11 yard line. And then on that third and four play, the Lions played really, really soft coverage. I mean, they're sitting like ten yards off of the receivers. Nobody was covering the flat. And I don't know why they played crazy soft coverage, but Andy Dalton easily through for a first down. And then the bears ran out the clock and kicked the game when he field goal won the game 16 to 14. And I just don't understand what's happening there. That's terrible, terrible coaching all around. By the lines, you can't call two timeouts back to back in the same sequence. That's a penalty. Why are you playing such soft coverage basically handing the bears a first down on third and four with a minute 54 left? You give the bears a first down, then they run at the clock when the game. It's so frustrating. It's the second time this year that the lines have it's a third time. It's the third time the lines have lost again this year because of a game winning field goal. And the lions are now oh ten and one, they haven't won a game. It's been a grueling brutal year. I mean, the lions keep finding different ways to lose games. And at this point, if you're a Lions fan, you're probably actually rooting for your team to keep losing because you want the number one overall pick. And I just, it's tough. It's really tough. I mean, unfortunately, knowing the lines and given how I mean, they've been close to win a games a lot of times. I mean, they led the packers at halftime. It's not like the lions are.

"He's relatively new. It seems like he's been here for half a year. We got guys that have come in and and just bought into the culture. We got tray and a bunch of guys. Riley Riley is like my best friend and I love that guy. Um, it's just a culture thing, and it's something again. It's It's kind of like little league. You know, you're in here. You're with your boys are having a good time. You hit the practice field. You're grinding. You come back in your boys again. So, um, it really is a different culture going on here. Dave Talking with C J. You, Sam and Dave. I think he kind of gets lost in the shuffle. We certainly have spent a lot of time talking about Joe Burrow and his comeback and Trey Hopkins in his comeback. I think maybe some people forget just what CJ has gone through to get back to this point Tours Achilles. You know, I mean, that's a tough injury, tough injury to come back from rehab from and he played well blocked well. They used them as a full back on occasion as a lead blocker in that regard. In the course of fourth and Scotch 32 Yard reception was a massive play in the football game. But you're right, Joe Burrow from the A. C L M c, l and even a Little PCL. The terrible triad little damage their reconstruction that need to play like he played. Trey Hopkins struggled a little bit, Uh, the Minnesota Vikings did a good job of isolating him one on one and protections on Pierce. Pierce beat him a couple of times for sacks very rare for Trey Hopkins to give up two sacks. This scheme of the Vikings was very, very sharp, very smart, obviously. And, uh and then CJ Asama Joe Mixon coming back from injury to play like he played so Nick Cosgrave and all the guys in charge of the rehab of all these players take about because a lot of your rehab patients came back and performed exceptionally well right away, and we've got about a minute. And while the Bengals may not feature the tight end as much as other teams do, and they've got Joe Burrow and mix it in the trio of wide receivers. There is still a place for and ineffectiveness to be used with with CJ. Use Almond Andrew sample that that can be a weapon. Still. Well, what happened? Uh, got the Vikings defense off kilter a little bit. Bengals came out Joe Burrow under center running the football with two tight ends. And and the Minnesota Vikings were expecting three wives They were not expecting. You know, 12 personnel one running back to tight ends. That's room for a little bit of loop, particularly with Joe Bar Owners Center. And in the kind of, uh that was a wise move the way they wanted to run the ball with the frequency. They want to do it, then play action off the boots and things like that nature at all kind of mesh together very well. And it took the Minnesota Vikings a little while to adjust the little wrinkles and nuances that the Bengals had course The Vikings had theirs as well. And we'll talk about some of those still ahead. We'll hear from Logan Wilson, Brian Callahan, the Bengals offensive coordinator, Tee Higgins and much more. Dave Lapham. Lance McAllister. Thanks for hanging out with us on this Monday night, we are dissect. Thing, a win by the Bengals. In overtime against the Vikings. It's Bengals line on the first Star Logistics, Bengals.

"Good morning, sir. How you doing? Good morning, Mike Magic how you'd be doing Okay. Let's say two key fourth downplays yesterday. One good one bad that call from the 30 map. That was the momentum shifter. It really was. I thought Yeah, I really was. I mean, if it it, obviously, if you if you make the first down, you're in total control. But if you don't exactly, Yeah, you're in trouble. I mean, it's you know, but when you look at the total circumstances again, the field position included, obviously, you know, gave the Defensive short field that defends and got to give the Minnesota Vikings victor pro advantage, particularly on fourth down the Bengals. 10 coverage. No safety is deep, and they hit a 24 yard touchdown pass to feeling Which just changed the momentum back in favor of the Vikings, for sure, but then in overtime Yes, in overtime. And the only turnover Yeah, the only turn over the game sets it up. I mean Minnesota's driving for a game winning field goal opportunity. And two main practice strips. It recovers it. Jesse Bates stands stands. Cook up, Jermaine Crack goes in there and they practice this all printing camp. Get in their second guy in stripped the ball, knock it out of their punches. Whatever. All comes out Bangles get possession and then fourth and a Scotch. Go up top 32 yards procedure on a crossing route from the right side of the formation. Tight end runs all the way that towards the left sideline. Joe Burrow feathers a ball out there 32 yards later. Sets up the game winning field goal by the rookie McPherson, a man Does he have a freaking Howard's are hanging off that right there he does. In the game ball went to him his debut as a rookie matter of fact. Yeah, he hit a You know, He's one of those guys and there's a lot of kickers in the league. Now that that's the case. I mean, the Vikings field goal kicker hit from over 50 McPherson from over 50. Everybody hits from over 50 years you get all you have to do is get to the 47 yard line. You ever legitimate the 40 Yard on your the legitimate shot with seven yard staff? A lot of these guys can make these 57 yard field goal. So man puts a lot of pressure on the defense. Once once an offence crosses big field, they almost have to change their mindset. Now we're going to knock them backwards, Man. We got to be aggressive. We have to blitz. And that leaves you vulnerable and the back end and causing all kinds of problems. These kickers, there's a ripple effect that's pretty, uh, pretty significant. Well, I'd ask you to break down the bears and one second or less, but we don't even have that much time. So all this is indeed Dalton. Got it. You got it. Looking forward to it. All right, lad. Great talking next time. Are you doing to my audios? Same to you? News ahead..

"The opener yesterday. 27 24 rookie Evan McPherson kicks a 33 yard field goal as time expired in overtime for the game winner that was set up by a gutsy call on fourth and inches. Joe Burrow rolls out and hits tight end C. J. Osama For a 32 yard gain. Getting within range for McPherson. I think he could kick one from here. That guy is unbelievable, said he kicked a 60 yard or in high school. Yeah, and for it was, he said it was his first game winner, Dalvin Cook fumbled in overtime to set up the game winning drive. It took only two minutes and eight seconds or Kentucky to take a seven lead on Missouri on the five yard third down touchdown pass to Chris Rodriguez. So last week, Levis was seven out of seven on third down throws in six out of six in the red zone, and he remains perfect. On both counts after that opening drive. I'll tell you what. That's a play that you and I saw a lot of practice the first time, though, that they've actually run it here In a game situation, Mizzou will send two players back deep near Suskind added to Gabriel. Just real quick here in the break they presented John Slaughter Means family where the Herald leaders Kentucky Sports Figure of the Year plaque, and they've got a great round of applause. They love to have seen him. Come here. Tyler Beatty game last week with a career high 203 rushing yards, lines up to the left of Bays. Lock will go from the gun. She is, um, in motion to the right base. Black looks into the middle, and he throws complete dub fights his way up to the 32 yard line. For Devante Robinson makes the tackle on Husky Doug Denton, Texas pick up of seven. It'll be second down and 31 thing you're going to see is tempo from Missouri. So glad I'm not a lot of subbing for Kentucky's defense. Three wideouts in a bunch after the numbers on the right One white out back to the near side. Quick throw to the far side. It's complete and it's going to be good for a first down after the 36 yard line. Dominic Love it. True Freshman makes the catch and gets the four yards for the first down. Coach Drink, which is a disciple of Gus Malzahn worked with him on the high school staff. Where was the head coach At in Arkansas. You'll see a lot of motion a lot of unusual formations up tempo and a trick player too most likely. Basil AC quick throw near side. He's got baby trying to get outside breaks the first tackle, but he can't quite turn the corner. Cedric Dort is there to run him out of bounds on the near side after just a one yard game, And that's that speed of the Kentucky defensive. We talked about last week. A lot of years gone by Baby would have turned that corner. Okay. John was able to come up and really get a shot only, but just couldn't wrap him up second down and nine pistol formation. This time in the Missouri Backfield Basil Act makes it rolls out to his right getting pressure. Dumps it off to the tight end who makes the catch and cut down for a short gain. It was Nico Hey, and a John came up to make the hit on him gain of only a yard as they leaked the tight end after the right running the same way as the quarterback Matt 2nd and 82 Nice place by a John back to back John Corker, Valentine and door at the secondary. Robinson, the Nickelback Jones and Square the inside of the linebacker line, right on the outside bullet, Fitzgerald, McCall and Paschal upfront. For Kentucky. JJ Weaver, two sacks last week. He's in there in the past Rush package, Empty Backfield Basil Act as he drops the throw four man Rush dumps it off. It's dropped just as Jones delivers the blow on the intended receiver Chisholm. But, as you said, got good pressure beginning Rondell Robinson back deep. Lucky with the seven leaders Missouri at one first down, and now we line up the punk trailing seven. Nothing. Look for that double post here And for a rare time tonight, this afternoon bears have a running back on each side of their quarterback. And a little run goes over the right side to about the 32 yard line. For Damian. More black is not an issue yet Kenny Turner on the Stop there out of Clearwater, Florida. Graduate transfer from central Florida. Seven yard gains second down in three balls out at the 32. After fake handoff, They're going to go with the path and dropped thrown to low Trayvon. Clark had a little bit of a chance to get his hands underneath. It was over the low throw and so an incomplete pass and suddenly just like that bingo bears have a rather big third down. It's funny because you get a lot of the same looks on defense out of both teams are getting a lot of same offense, trying to beat it right that time double slant. Chase garbage got to get back there and rip that one. Put it on your shoulder. Your receivers shoulder pads instead of down low like that tough dance? Well, they sure don't want to punch at this stage of the game, but they might have to because it's early enough. You probably wouldn't go for it, so it's third down, and they need about three yards. Pass is complete, and they get the first down. Bingo. So in the right flat, beautiful, perfect positioning for trick contest And the winners makes the stop of the bear's Gotta first town in 12 Yards West Coast. Guys will know that is why stick Tight end goes down sticks his foot in the ground, finds the open space quarterback delivers it on time. First down, that's an automatic play. On the left side, Jeremy Cooper and John Williams and throat center Jake Renfro in there as well Outstanding job of blocking for Jerome Ford. To get him into the end zone 91 rushing yards for Ford. As he nears 100 yards for the second consecutive week. Americans have scored on both of their drives here in the third quarter. Looking to go up by 14 points. Of course, Smith. Ready for the PE 80. His kick is up. It is good. He is a perfect 10 for 10 on points after this year. And the bear Cats have a 21 to 7 lead here in the third quarter. Nice job by the bear Cats in this second half coming out both sides of the football. With a little bit more passion than they had in the first half. And, um Again. I give him credit, Daniel. You talked about it. You're kind of flat in the second half last week against the Red Hawks. Clearly flattened in the first half today against the racers here, Murray State racers that is and then nice come back here in the third quarter for him. South Penn 1 28 left in that game. Notre Dame Down by five Toledo leading the fighting Irish 29 24. But Notre Dame is driving down to the Toledo 35 yard line with 1 24 on the clock. Okay. They need to touchdown, not a field goal. Alex Bales will kick it off for Cincinnati. Ethan Thompson backdate to return. Dominant third quarter for the bear Cats. After lackluster playing the first half. Here comes the kick off from bales. He crunches it no chance to return for Thompson. So a touchback for kicker Alex bails out of Westfield, Indiana. And Murray State will have it at the 25 yard line. But their cats on that drive surpassed Murray State in total yards 203 to 1 93. Desmond Ritter, now nine out of 1614 passing yards, one touchdown, no pics. C bear, cats can keep the pressure. On Murray State offense. Out of a pistol formation and 1st and 10 from the 25 rice. Hands it off. Casteel running right. Nice pickup on first down. He makes it to the 32 for seven yard game brought down by Will Huber sure was. That was a nice Got it. Quick. Start there. And, really, that's big yardage on first down seven yards like that. Two tight ends on the field for the racers, McDowell and set off Second and three from the 32 Yard line. 4.5 minutes to go. Third quarter 21 to 7 Cincinnati. Rice with the jet sweep hand off to the right. Nice tackle by Dairy and beavers as he brings down Lamar Tess Brooks after one yard game, third down and two for Murray State. Good job. He didn't allow the guy to get his body up the field, which would have got him a few more yard to released another yard as he was being tackled. So big third down here again for.

"It's not quite as big a penalty in college football as it is in the NFL would go out to 40 to the 14th NFL's, but it is the 35 in college football, just giving 35 the opponent 10 yards. We talked a little bit about it last week. The bear Cats practices a lot to try to kick it into the corner, which makes it tougher for the defender to return. The ball really gives you not a lot of options. You have to take it almost straight up the field. You don't want to come all the way back across the field, but If you mentioned and that's three times in two games, that's way too many times the ball's been kicked out of bounds. Murray State has had the ball three times interception on the first possession touchdown on the second interception on the third. J. Von Hicks and Ahmad Sauce Gardner with picks For you See? 1st and 10 Murray State Rice rolls left now looks to run back toward the middle of the field, and Jody Blanco leaps at him and sacks him at the 32 yard line. A loss of three They were all over him that time and I noticed back in the game. Is our good buddy Jacob Vance, and he allowed his guy. Uh, you look van moving van all the way to come around and band was there as well. So nice job by the defense. That makes it second down and 13. Cincinnati had a couple of sacks in the season opening win over Miami. Bear cats, bringing down the quarterback Rice for three yard loss. There. He looks to throw on 2nd and 13. His past intercepted, picked off by Bush and Bush steps out of bounds at the 40 yard line with Cincinnati's third interception in the first half outstanding, and that was Not necessarily caused by the rush. Maybe a bad decision. By Preston Rice, but at the same time, very, very athletic interception. By our Kwan Bush nicely done and we will watch him slam dunk. As he comes to the sideline as the ritual. Yes, There we go. Cincinnati's turnover celebration got the little basket behind the bench that somebody holds up to the person that came away with the takeaway to dunk the football through. 1st and 10 cats at the Murray State 42nd straight drive that starts.

As the Buckeyes on the board for this man baseball his life. It's your guest host of the lead off spot. Bay Area news groups. Giants beat writer Terry Crowley hear him by saying to your Apple Home pod play KNBR. Trade to the Bay was true. On Thursday night when the Sanders killed 40. Niners made Trey Lance the quarterback of the future. It was true on Friday night as well. Third round draft pick Trace sermon. Joining the 40 Niners offensive contingent out of Ohio State a lot to like about this 40 Niner strap. That's how every fan base in the NFL feels after draft weekend, All 32 teams felt like their team came through with an upgrade. But I really do think that the future of the 40 Niners has changed over the weekend because this team has an offensive identity. Now with Trey Lance Ah guy who can extend plays a guy who can run the football as well as past the football and Trey sermon, joining this offense as well. A second round draft pick Aaron Banks. One of the largest offensive lineman the 40 Niners have pursued and cow Shanahan and John Lynch's tenure. I'm really excited about the run game possibilities, And to me, that's what Kyle Shanahan has always done best. His dominate opposing defense is through scheming up favorable run matchups, favorable defensive alignments through what he could do on offense, and now he has more athletes to help out this sporting matters. Offensive system trace sermon an interesting pick. Of course, because the 40 Niners for the past few seasons have gone with wide receivers in early rounds of the draft. We saw the 40 Niners do it. Not so successfully trading up for Dante Pettus. We saw them try and get Jalen Hurd in the third round. We all know how that has worked out so far, although San Francisco's still remaining optimistic about her chances of impacting this offense, But I like the certainty that you get would trace sermon who produced at Oklahoma who produced after transferring to Ohio State and produced on the biggest stage is like Last year as a grad transfer with the big 300 yard game that we talked about in the Big 10 championship. And then, of course, playing well against Clemson later on. So one thing that I want to touch on what Trey Lance's John Lynch's comments that post draft about what they saw in him or Trey sermon. I should say what they saw in him why they felt comfortable going after running back. So here's the 40, Niners general manager on the new running back out of Ohio State. You look at our backs in the past, and I think one common element is the speed and you may Look at his 40 time and say he doesn't really fit but sometimes 40 times can be deceiving. I You know, I think What speaks to us is like is 10 time was very good. And so you see that burst You see that ability to stick his foot in the ground, break tackles and hid it in a hurry. And then he's very adept at making the you know the free safety. The second Second level defender Miss. And so you know, they really good out of the backfield in the past game is well, I think he's a good fit for what we do. It was exciting, you know, colonized started this morning kind of watching the backs and it was fun. T o be able, and I think the move was prompted by just a growing feeling that Trey was a really good fit for us. And I think we stayed patient. But when we felt like, all right, our luck's about to run out. We made the move and we're happy to be able to do so. Make no mistake where he most hurt is still the home run hitter for this offense when the 40 Niners have a schematic advantage when they think that they can take a team deep through the run game. Most her will be the guy in the game for cow Shannon. He's the one with the breakaway speed, but where he moster has dealt with injuries. At times. He's probably not as effective when you give him the ball more than 15 times per game. The 40 Niners have seen that over the last few seasons, and they saw how effective he could be in the 2019 2020 post season when he was fresh. And well rested. He dominated against the Minnesota Vikings have the historic performance against the Green Bay Packers. And that's why the 40 Niners felt that it was necessary to go out and get Trey sermon to aid this backfield. He's someone who could have more of a day, one impact than Trey. Lance. In my opinion, I think that Lance is gonna have some growing pains. Lance is gonna be someone who you're not going to work into the offense. One week one. I really do think that the 40 Niners will defer to Jimmy Garoppolo at the outset of the season. Look, if Trey Lance passes him in week two and week three and practice that I do think that they will make that change. But I really feel confident that trace sermon is going to be a big addition. Right off the bat through this 40 Niners often so is exciting. His tray lances for the next decade Trace sermon gets me a little book more excited for the month of September when it comes to watching this 40 Niners offense on the field. Another guy that I want to touch on from this 49 of drafts. Been round pick Aaron Banks. I thought it was really interesting. The 40 Niners targeted a guard on offense because you don't often see that. In the first few rounds of the NFL draft teams were much more reluctant to take guards and they are to take tackles because tackles provide that premium value. They can stop pass rushers on the edge There number one job is to protect the quarterback. Keep them up right. And so the 40 Niners already gave all of that money to Trent Williams in the historic contract they picked up the fifth year option of Mike McGlinchy said There was Really no need for this team to go out and get a tackle this year, but they still wanted to fortify the offensive line with Laken. Tomlinson started in that left guard former first round pick who they traded a few years ago from the Detroit Lions to get him and he's been great. Ever since Arriving in San Francisco, they went out and got Aaron Banks and El Sereno Native Bay Area Guy grew up 40 Niners fan out of Notre Dame. So Michael Glenn, She's got some familiarity with him. And I think that banks is someone £325 to isn't necessarily the proto typical offensive line. And for Kyle Shanahan Zone scheme, But he is someone who offers ah lot of intrigue at the position because of how different he is in couch. Shanahan talked about some of that why the 40 Niners pursued Aaron Banks. People talk about. It's always one small guys, but that's not the case we want..

"Guys like laying on his back in the line of scrimmage, and he just carries about three for Lydia looks like Ron Dayne, who ran it, Wisconsin, then for the giant's second down 5 39, a Tampa Bay Rogers under center. We can see his breath on this 28 degree day snap spent fake handoff roles that peddles his pressure. There's the throat cut by 35 lunging on the far side on him out of bounds. He falls to the 32 yard line of the Buccaneers gain of seven. Rogers had all kinds of pressure in his face that peddling and threw the ball with the side arm in the tight end. Caught it in stride. Kurt for a first down for Green Bank. How sweet is Aaron Rodgers when he throws the football? Got out there on the naked. He was looking for the deep Cory, one of the deep shot. But as you said, the pressure got there wasn't open. Yes, flip of the wrist right on the money to his tight end for the first down, and he makes it look so easy. At times, Rogers under center from the 32 of the Buccaneers, he's had six consecutive passes. Trailing 28 17 gets the snap spin steaks. They end up rolls to the near side plants and does a short pass that peddling catch the tide In the city's lowest 30 runs to the near sideline. The 26 falls down hit hard. 86 on the play his third catch today. He is not a pass catcher, but he's grabbed three today for the Packers, and they're doing a nice job of keeping this Buck's defense off balance. Now that they're able to run the football, they're on their heels a little bit. After that turnover. And now they're running the play actions and getting Aaron Rodgers out in space where he can be so dangerous. You can see him peeking trying to get the big play down the field, but not forcing anything. Suddenly for the check down when he has to. Second down four. Tampa Bay. 27. Rogers has it in the shotgun. Three wide shotguns. Head hands off Dillon runs over the right tackle is he moves to his right on my cash inside, the 25 picked up a meager yard. He was lucky to get that because he was it. Right when he got that hand off now a pretty important third down in a couple to go for Green Bay. Our third quarter clock ticking it 3 23 Buccaneers 28 Packers 17. Talked about having to win third down in the second half after winning on defense has to win it on offense. Here's another third and short, great, manageable situation. Lots of things you could do here, but they need this. First down. Try to get seven on the board. Rogers will deploy four receivers running back is Williams 32. Fucking here. 25 Shotgun Snap drop back three blocked by the right tackle First, Williams kept to the 20 to the 15 broken tap close. He's out of bounds looked like he was gonna break a tackle. But he stepped on the truck, but he gets the first down. He gets the first down for Green Bay and the near sideline as he caught that short pass under the backfield of the 13 Yard line of Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It's a gain of 12 and a first down for the Packers. Great play again, bringing pressure to play. We call bullets. The back out of the backfield kind of runs of Tunis swing in a wheel. Just running away from the linebacker. Eren sees it puts it on him quickly before the linebacker could get there another first down, and now they're knocking on the door from the 13 in Tampa Bay. Rogers under center with three tight ends first intent. He looks to the left. He looks to the right three on the defensive line for the Buccaneers crunches.

"Talk football with Amy Lawrence. Seriously tell the truth at that point in the Browns Chiefs game, did you think level was going to win? Because I did? I did. I thought this is happening. The bills are going to host the A F. C championship with the Browns two teams that had not had playoff win since the mid nineties are going to face each other. To cap what has been a nun. Predictable, completely irregular, irrational, illogical season. We're gonna have bills and Brown's in the A F C championship. My apologies, Chad Henny. It's my apologies, Eddie read. It's after hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS Sports Radio Man Alive. Twitter was hopping at this point. And why not? The Browns had gone from being down 20 to 10. At the end of the third. Right after Patrick. The homes had been declared out with the concussion as you here with Kevin Harlan on the Westwood one radio network. Cleveland puts together this incredible 18 18 play, Dr. It was masterful. Baker Mayfield locked in there using the run to set up the path. Everyone is pulling his weight. They convert five first downs, including 2/4 down conversions. Austin Hooper with a diving grab in the red Zone might have been the catch of his life. Season saving grab, and ultimately, Karim Hunt gets into the end zone and 18 play drive. The goes eight minutes and right after that, Chad Henny throws an interception in the end zone. Maybe some nerves. After all, it was his first ever. Playoff appearance. It's after hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS Sports Radio. Jim Donovan, with the call in the Browns radio network. Got even more interesting from there. Seriously. You cannot write a script like this. And this is what I love about sports. Even in 2020 Now, 21, where nothing feels the same were fans are Only filling a few seats and each stadium. Where sometimes Sports don't provide that same entertainment and distraction as they have because things are so upside down in our world, these air still the moments That remind me why I'm a sports fan and why I could never give it up and why I have one of the coolest jobs in the world. Cleveland gets the ball back with eight minutes to go in the fourth quarter. And the case. The city defense, which is not one of those defense is that completely shut you down. It's a big play defense. In fact, it kind of matches the offense that way Sacks. Turnovers stops huge tackles inches from the first down line. That's the type of defense. This is with the wisdom, the experience of the coaching staff as well as the veterans like Tyrone Matthew. And so Kansas City. He's able to prevent the Browns from getting a first down on that dry when they get the ball back, and Kevin Stravinsky decides not to go for it on fourth down Now, I can understand the thought process. I certainly can. They're at their at their own 32 yard line, Cleveland 32 Yard line. It's 1/4 and nine. We're not talking about 1/4 and two but 1/4 and nine and it's Chad Henny, who's quarterbacking, not Patrick Mahomes. This is not a light him up offense. He had a past battered down. He had one intercepted in the end zone so I can understand why you take your chances. You put this on the back your defense you say, Get us the ball back. Except analytics can measure what happens in these moments when you give a human being the opportunity of a lifetime, and so We get to the two minute warning. There's a first out in there the cheese at this point in trying to run as much time off the clock as they possibly can. 13 14 at the two minute warning. All of the snap in the center, the feeling when he wants to throw it many scrambling and comes to the near side. He's at the 40 45 50 Henny guys. He's close to a first down, but the 49 yard line really, really close. Chad Henny jumps up and.

"It's the moment you were with Holly She Yes. Ali Jordan, Tiger, Kobe Phelps Tyson, LeBron Brady and the stories you've never heard talking to. Goats is available in bookstores now and talking to goats. Not upon talking to sheep is not written to our knowledge. Something she counted shaped is something you can try. If you're having trouble sleeping, too 05 or just listen us to our five remaining in the first quarter seven. Nothing lead for the Saints Bear. Turn it over on downs. And now New Orleans starts throwing 32 yards just real quickly Way talked about players who are out Darnell Mooney, the rookie receiver from Tulane 61 receptors during the regular season. Jovon wins six receptions. He's filling in that role. He had a good catch on that play on the sideline and then dropped the ball. In the end. You look back on that dropped touchdown that could be costly. As Taysom Hill will start a quarterback on this drive for the New Orleans Saints. They started their own 32 yard line. Lotion coming across from the tight end. Josh feel from right to left Bill out of the shot. Then we'll take it and try to run over the left side. Got a great block in 35 hell out of bounds across the 40 and down at the 42 yard line. It will be a first down. At a huge block on the edge. I believe it was Michael Burton, the fullback who got a piece of somebody else. No, he got a piece of Manti Te'o, and it was a pancake block where tale ended up on his back. It was such a good block. I expected to see a flag for holding because he just went straight and pushed him right on his back. 10 yard pick up for tasting Hill First down and 10 on now Drew Brees back under center literally under center backs off set behind him and on first down breeze to throat pressure. Coming late throws it short. Burton will catch the fullback of the 45 getting rewarded for that block as he makes the catch and takes it up the left sideline to the 40 yard Line, six yard pick up on the play for Michael Burton, who missed last week. Colbert Protocols came back this week and not always provided the big clock makes the catch there before Danny privation could bring him down. You know, when you can spread the ball to so many players, I liken it to the fact that Sean Payton is like the mom driving them anything. There's a snack for everybody and all those eight extra seats in that minivan. Second down and four at the 48 2 receivers to the right. Single wide left Breeze tries to swing it out of the backfield, bounced it to Deante Harris. That'll be ruled an incomplete pass. He saw some pressure coming and had just spike that went into the church. Well, he looked left and then the timing was off a little bit to come back to the right. And if he throws it, and it's complete, you might have had some linemen down the field. So to Greece has one of those microprocessors in his head. He he can process all the stuff that's going on. Everybody else realizes after the plane, they go. That's a good decision. Oh, I didn't see that till right now. 34 48 yard line Camaro is gonna motion out to the right now. Camaro will come from right and to the left of Drew Brees in the back field on third and four movement up front. You know what? That I think that was Drew Brees. He was shaking and moving his hands a little bit. Won't get a called third offense number 51. I've heard penalty remains third down. We're not gonna pin it on the future Hall of Famer. You spend it on the roof and sees over Wease right now, right guard. But back it up now third and four becomes third and nine states been good on third down today, three for four so far, and what's interesting about that is in the Bears game in in November. They were terrible. On third down. There were two of 13 and their overtime when it's soldier field November 1st. Burned down and nine at the 43 yard line. Single receiver to the right too wide to the left Camaro in the back through it to the left of breeze crouched over gets the shotgun snap back pedals on the left hash fires over the left side. It is caught, it's Harris again and Deante Harris. With his fourth catch of this first quarter, down to the 40 Yard line of Chicago and.

Our David, with the call on CBS radio Sports of the game is still the greatest comeback in NFL postseason history. Andre reads. 17 yard touchdown pass from Frank Reich, with just over three minutes left in the fourth quarter completed a rally that saw the bills a race of 32 points, second half deficit versus the Oilers in the wild card around the 1992 playoffs. Mike was playing in place of injured starter Jim Kelly and managed to flip the script thanks to a four touchdown performance, But Warren Moon would rally Houston driving the length of the field and Al Bell Brecko nailed a short field goal to send the game to overtime. The extra session Moon through a costly interception in his own territory, which then allowed Steve Christy to drill a 32 yard field goal three plays later and put an exclamation point on the remarkable 41 to 38 come from behind victory. "The Colts leading Jaguars tend to nothing in the numbers are all Indianapolis eight. First downs to the Jags won 1 27 on the ground. Philip Rivers hadn't have to throw it much 46 yards, five of eight. Taylor's done most of the damage. 18 plays 173 yards for the Colts. 10 plays 32 yards with jackals on Now we go left to right for Jacksonville on third down and four Clinton in the pocket. Nobody opened throws over them and a little diving catches that caught by Tyler Eifert. Yes, it is at the 41 yard line. He got 10. That's a first down good protection that time Cam Robinson. Left tackle Juwan Taylor, the right tackle Excellent job on the edges. And Tyler, right for former Cincinnati bangle had to go. 76 Number, 76 has reported as an eligible receiver number. 76. It's an eligible receiver just took that right off the top blade of the artificial surface here on that's well. Richardson now is playing a tight end position for Jacksonville on the right side. Hogan Bilal. He takes the handoff spin move as he got hit after a gain of a couple Stretches of the form. It will call four yards up to the 45 yard line, so it'll be second down and six for just joining US Indianapolis with attended nothing lead. They needed one of four teams to lose today, and they got their wish with Miami losing the Buffalo Now the jacks after me, the Colts have to win this game to make the playoffs. They also have an opportunity to win the F C South. If Tennessee would lose this afternoon in Houston, second down and six play action fake back to throw Glennon nobody They're going to run a field and It will not be a sack. He makes it back to the line of scrimmage, the 45 yard line, but good coverage. Nobody opened. It will be third down and six. I think the secondary of the Colts is the most improved part of this whole team. I think getting Xavier Rhodes at the corner. He's come back and all roads are closed with Xavier Rhodes on one side and Julian Blackmon, the rookie out of Utah has been fantastic at free safety. All right, third down coming up. They converted on their last one to keep this drive going there at the 45 in their own territory third down and six, got some heat coming blood and got hit. The ball came out of his hand, picked up by the Colts and running down the near left sideline. On that ball was fumbled and out of bounds, So we'll see if this was a forward pass. That ball was picked up in the secondary by three months, Smith and it looks like they're calling it a fumble. The return was 28 yards, that he was finally tackled in. The ball came loose, went out of 12. What was the maniac that came on a glitch that time Darius Leonard. And he rocked my glad he never knew there. He came back. Mr picked up block that time and Leonard came three and he shook that ball loose. Mike Glennon took a heck of a shot to the back side. Really? TJ Cherry picked it up off a hot It was just a good bounce right? There was T J Carey who picked up the ball 38. This might get reviewed that I mean, even when When it got hit. It looked like his arms was kind of going forward. Doug Marone got that challenge flag in his hand. He's just waiting to see if he needs to throw it. So the league is taking a look at this. All change of possessions are looked at. Yeah, on our referee Sean Smith just huddled in a couple of his refereeing crew here this afternoon, waiting to hear from the league while we have a chance. We mentioned Frank Reich being the head coach of the Indianapolis Colts 28 years ago today, Where's Paul? Ruling on the field? The fumble recovered by the defense is under review. Okay, so they're going to review this, which means we will believe pause here. All right, We will go to a break. We'll continue our Frank Wright story and get the review with 12 56 to go in the first half our score. Indianapolis 10, Jacksonville. Nothing time out on the field is listening to the NFL on campus immediately. It's the NFL on one or 2.5 the boat. Okay, Parachutes. Ready, boy. The things I go through to get on a loan rates a slow.

"Own football is back. So's rich Ackerman. All right. We have several women in scenarios on this final day of the NFL's regular season in 2021 of which is in Cleveland, But the Steelers who could and need some help right down is not likely happening with the bills. Comfortably in front of the Dolphins, But the Steelers could move up in the seedings, but again not likely, but they have cut closer or cut the deficit to move closer to the Browns. Let's get more from Jonathan Peter. That's right Ranch. Matthew, right, 0 46 yard Field goal as the Browns Steelers ended six. We have a minute seven left in the second quarter. Browns have just one time out, so we'll see what Baker Mayfield hook up. They thought of the day seven of 13 for just over 100 Yards throwing bases. Rudolph 11 of 18 for 1 34 again just over a minute, left one time out for the Browns. Trying to see if they could get a field or something down up before the half comes to a conclusion. 10 6 the score here from first energy, All right, let's head to Paul Hamilton and Buffalo right now, and Paul if the Bills were taken this one off Looks like they are comfortably in the second spot in the A F. C. They certainly didn't get the memo they are playing is if this is already the playoffs today. Well, they're starting quarterback Josh Allen has not left the game Get now maybe he was going to, but I say it. McKenzie returned upon 84 yards for a touchdown, his third touchdown of the game as he had caught two touchdown passes from Josh Allen. And that gave the bills a 21 to 3 lead. I think Barkley was coming in. He had his helmet on. So it looked like maybe he was coming in, but we don't know for sure. And the best quarterback on the field for the Dolphins right now is Lynn Boden, the wide receiver? Eyes. He just finished a play, which got the Dolphins down into Buffalo territory to the nine yard line. It was a lateral pass to Boden Boden kind of way for a second went all the way back across the field. The Miles Gaskin, who went 32 yards to the bills, nine. One of the reasons the Dolphins are now on fourth and goal going to go for another field. Goal is they tried to use both as a running back Then he came around. It was really running back, but a rushing attempt he lost six yards is that was blown up by MIKE Love. And he lost six yards on the play and again some very, very poor play by Tonga Vaya Lola as he has not been able to get anything going. I mean, yeah, he's completed 11 of 15 passes, but it's been on leave for 84 yards. It really hasn't been much to it and they're going to have to settle for a 32 yard Sanders field goal, So it's only 21 to 6. Now. The good news for the Dolphins is they did differ. They will get the ball to start the second half. But the only decent offensive play all day for them has been a pass from a wide receiver to a running back, So it's really been alarming. How uninspired the Dolphins have been in this game, and it looks like Barkley is gonna come in. Once the bills receive the kickoff. There's a minute 44 left to go here in the second quarter. And with that Sanders field goal that makes it 21 to 6 in favor of the bills, and we'll see what Barkley my does. And when he comes in has been real great. The times he's been called upon to play. We'll see. This time. It has been many to be quite honest is Josh Allen has been very durable, but his career Barkley is 10 touchdowns. 21 interception, So the bills will get the ball back with 1 44 left to go leading it. 21 to 6. All right, late first half in Fox Borough. They're all tied up now Jets and Patriots Here's Alan Siegel. I'll take that two teams that are going to the playoffs, but two teams are playing very hard and I say something a wretch. The Jets struggled on slow offensively, but they have definitely come on in the Syriza prior to what is starting right now, with 43 38 seconds to go in the first half Kim Donald, but the Jets on a template 80 yard drive culminated with a 21 yard pass to Chris Harden. Touchdown. Earlier, We had a desperation pass that he was running to the right and on the sidelines Jamison Crowder for a first down that kept that Dr alive, so That's a doing very, very well. Sam Donald 13 to 17 for 146 yards and I 121.2 quarterback rating. Cam Newton. Actually, 12 19 1 29, and he has A seven yard touchdown pass to James White. So the situation is this. We're going to go to halftime site at seven and the Jets get the ball to start the third quarter. Richard All right, Thank you very much. And, of course, the Jets today without Frank Gore, who could be missing the final game of his career due to a knee injury. Michael P. Ryan covert 19 reserves So they're doing without their running game for the most part and still tied at seven. Let's go to Mike Mancuso had met Life Stadium late first half the Giants trying to add to their lead. And they just did. I believe Daniel Jones throwing a beautiful 33 yard touchdown pass of four touchdown. I'm looked at it. Let's just make sure Dante Pettus with the catch with a touchdown. So pending off flag there is a flag on the play with the giant's hands to the face on the defense of the touchdown will stay so roll over the place here but live radio as we speak 45 seconds remaining in the first half Giants and now on top 19 to 6 pending the extra point. Daniel Jones his second touchdown passes the afternoon Pettus with a nice catch, 33 yard touchdown pass. Or the Giants, who are playing a real good game today. Rich on defense. We talked about it before the game adult innit quarterback for the Cowboys, only seven of 15. He's been sacked three times. Kelly. It is only 27 yards on the ground on seven carries Cowboys only one of seven on third down, So you see what's happened here? Two Giants defense has kept Dallas his offense off the field. Daniel Jones has been protected, has been able to move a little bit. The Giants have had scoring drives of 78 65 yards prior to this one, Sterling Shepard. Lots of catches. He has a 23 yard reverse for a touchdown. And right now we're still waiting for the extra point is all kinds of people are all over the field. Referees looking at stuff. They're reviewing things. People are out giving water to the players. S O right now, With 45 seconds left pending the extra 450.2 Giants lead the Cowboys. 19 to 6 are all scoring plays, air reviewed and Pettus kind of went down before, But was he did he go down by himself? Or did the defender play a part in that so that obviously being reviewed But he did look like his dad. Gold Glove center fielder Gary Petty is going after that ball. Let's have the Tom Maicon's in Tampa Bay..
