"At some point we have to take the economy seriously. We can't just keep printing money and sending it overseas. Welcome to another Financial Guys podcast. I'm Mike Hayflick along with my partner, Mike Speraza. We are always excited to be here, Mike. Um, we are here after the second Bill's win. Yeah. Yeah. We will, we'll keep it at that. Every time we talk very little, things go well. So let's, let's keep it at a win and big game Sunday. Miami. What should be right. A massively popular game. I mean, when they put up 70 against Denver and we, we basically, did we shut out the three points? Three, three. Okay. We held, held Washington, the Washington commanders to only three. That should be a really, really dynamite game. So. Had to change their name due to political correctness. I know, I know. And we had some conversation about that. The people I was watching the game with were reflecting on, I guess the good old days when the, the nicknames of teams just didn't seem to matter as much, but it matters now. Now they want to take down statues. You're an Iroquois guy. They're taking that name away. The chiefs because apparently saying chiefs is very, uh, politically incorrect. I mean, a leader. You can't be called the leaders anymore. Maybe it'll be the Iroquois comrades because everyone's got to just hold hands and sing Kumbaya. Yeah. And, and you know, nobody gets a gender anymore. Nobody can dominate one or the other. Even if it's a sport, there really might not even ever be winners or losers. They might not even keep score anymore in sports. Like it's just going to be for the experience of it trophy for the trophy for the trophy. Line them all up. They're all going to look exactly the same. There'll be gender neutral trophies. When will we have a they, them team name? Like the, the Washington they, thems, like when, when, I mean, I know that sounds outrageous, but that's where we're headed. Yeah, it's true. It's going to be comrades. Friends. Yeah. The friends, the Iroquois friends, the Iroquois comrades. It literally is heading that way though. Something where you go, what is, what is this sport? Like we don't even know based on the name, what the sport is. We don't even, yeah. You won't know. Like usually you could derive some more information from things like that. Oh, no, no, not anymore. No, you're going to have to dig real deep. You're going to have to show up at these events and, uh, you know, maybe wear a nice hoodie and a pair of shorts at the events. Yeah, I agree with you. And, uh, you know, maybe right after you went through the Senate chambers to vote on something, you can head and do a game with your hoodie and shorts on. Anyway, the next one, the last thing I'll say is the next one will be the Patriots. They'll be getting their name taken because that represents Donald Trump and his movement. We got to take away the name Patriot, right? That'll be the next one. There you go. You know, I just, I can't with these people anymore. It's really getting to be absurd. Yep. Totally. So, uh, Mike, let's start with this one. A second Republican debate coming this Wednesday night, September 27th, and Dana Perino, who I've always enjoyed listening to. Um, she will be joining Stuart Varney and Ilia Calderon at the Ronald Reagan library. presidential Suitable place. I love it. Yeah. And, uh, I, we were just chatting a bit before the podcast, so let's just line this up. All right. I don't know the order, but we're going to have Pence, Christie, DeSantis, Rama, Swami, uh, Doug Burgum made it Dougie Dougie. Um, who is that? Who else? I'm I've got five Nikki Haley. Thank you. And then, uh, there should be one more. Um, I did pens from, let's write this down. One more time for everybody. Pence, Rama, Swami, right? DeSantis. How do I not remember? Tim Scott, Tim Scott. Thank you. So, so seven this time, um, not Asa Hutchinson, I think you said he, he didn't make it. Didn't qualify. So, um, of course the big elephant in the room is that Donald Trump again will not be there. Just tell me your thoughts, I guess, on this next upcoming debate. Are we going to hear anything different? Is there any going to be anything that really makes people go, Whoa, this guy's really racing to the front or female. Um, if it's Nikki Haley, anyone going to race to the front after this one? I really, I mean, I think we're kind of wasting our time here and I'm not saying it as a, as a Trump voter. I'm just saying it realistically. Right. I mean, at this point, the lead is 40 to 50 points. Nobody makes up that ground than a debate, right? Like Nikki Haley had a great debate last time. She's still polling single digits. Right. I don't agree with Nikki Haley stance on a lot of things, but she, she fared well in that debate and she really didn't grow or fall behind anymore. Right. So I think that's the tough part. When we look at these debates, the Donald Trump in the 2015, 2016 campaign years, that is your like unicorn, right? Where, where you just go up there and go bananas. And then you end up, you know, taking over the field. The difference was there was no Donald Trump in that election, right? Like you had a Jeb Bush, but he wasn't the guaranteed slam dunk candidate right now. You have Donald Trump, Mike, and he is the guaranteed slammed on Canada. The only one that we thought maybe had a chance was Ron DeSantis and he has crumbled mightily, whether you like him or hate him. It's just the facts. He's, he's in trouble. Right. I mean, so what, what are we accomplishing with these debates other than kind of a, I guess I'll say wasting our time. Yeah. And I, I just, I just think it's worth breaking this down a little bit. Like what is it that people like you and I think that these others are just inferior to a guy like a Donald Trump? Like, and I'll tell you my opinion first. Mine is I just don't think they'll win. And I just feel like more and more people need to, you got to vote and expect that the conservative Republican candidate in this case wins. And I don't think any of these other people could, could actually win. I don't think they have enough, you know, experience. They don't have the fortitude that a Donald Trump has. Well, I think that that to me is, is there's two reasons why I'm voting for Donald Trump, right? Number one was I thought he had a very good four year term other than the COVID 19 issue. And I, I'm telling you right now, I say this to people all the time. If it was Ron DeSantis, if it was Donald Trump, if it was Hillary Clinton, that, that, that whole debacle was, was a disaster and there was no way you were going to look good in that debacle. I'm just telling you. Yeah. Number one, but that was a Trump fault that I have. And if I ever talked to him, I would tell him that that I do not agree with what he did with COVID. It's easy for me to say that now, but, but at the end of the day, he had a great four year term other than that, in my personal opinion. Number two is every time they've tried to knock him down at the knees, Mike, that has made me want him back more, right? The, the every time they indict him, I want him back more, right? Every time they try and silence him with gag orders, I want him back more. This is how I think a lot of conservatives are feeling. And at this point, it's kind of like, okay, is Rhonda, here's what my other point, I don't mean to keep going on, but at the end of the day is whether it's Ron, DeSantis, Vivek Ramaswamy, or Donald Trump, I'm going to use those three for a second. They will be treated the exact same way by the media, by the Democrat party. It doesn't matter who that candidate is. It doesn't matter. Right. People always say like, Oh, but, but Trump's hated. If DeSantis is a candidate, he's already taken crap from the leftist media, right? Like if he's the candidate, he's going to, it's going to be open up another can of worms. I don't think it matters. The reason why we got to go with Donald Trump is he's been there. He's been able to handle it. We know that whether you like him or not, he's handled the media and he's handled the Democrats well. And we need that experience. This is the election of our lifetime. And I will say that now, this is the election of our lifetime. We need to win. Dana Perino says, I believe the economy will feature prominently because we know that that is the biggest concern and preoccupation that is worrying Americans. And she says in many ways, in my opinion, the economy is the thread that runs through all of these other possible topics. For example, if you're concerned about crime, one of the issues is what kind of resources do you have and are you willing to use in order to help deal with that? I think she's spot on. I think when it comes to the economy, the economy sort of is the fuel and whether you then have a notion to, you know, actually shut down the border, improve childcare, improve education, then the, the economy obviously is the main thread that actually everything else seems to branch off of. If you have a lot of people working, for instance, you're going to have a thriving economy because supply and demand is going to balance out. You're going to have lots of products and services to offer and a lot of people can afford these things. Right. So, uh, I, I agree with her. Plus it is Fox business that's hosting the event. So might lean a little bit more toward economics. Yeah, I think it should. I agree with you. I mean, at some point we have to take the economy seriously. We can't just keep printing money and sending it overseas at some point, you know, and I say, I've said this to you, Mike before, going to get groceries now at times, like they ring all the stuff up and I'm like, Holy crap. I bought, I have a cat. I bought five cans of cat food. They're, they're the size of like a lacrosse ball, not even. And it's like $5 for five cans. I'm like this, this thing costs more than my kids at this point. This cat's going to be very thin. It's going to be out of crash diet. I mean, but seriously, how do people, Mike, that don't make money? And I say this in a sad way, like how do people that don't make money survive? Even going, you go to a local fast food restaurant for two people. My wife and I it's 30 bucks. I'm like, what the hell happened out here? I told that is what's going on. And that's scary. Yeah. When they have to make those kinds of hard choices. Right. Uh, all right. So, uh, let's move on. So speaking of Trump, we're talking about these other seven candidates that will be there Wednesday, this Wednesday night, nine to 11 PM in the second Republican debate, Donald Trump will not be there, but this came out like in a Washington post poll. Trump is now up 10%, uh, over a potential run against Biden, 10 % double digit. Now if you just pin Trump against Biden again, first your thoughts, and then we'll go a little deeper into this. Well, I'm not surprised. Um, I think, I think Americans are getting sick and tired of it. I think Americans are worried about our futures. I think the migrant crisis is hurting the Democrat party because you have liberal places like New York city that are waking up saying, Oh my God, we can't do this anymore. And there's like 10 ,000 migrants in New York city, not 10 million. Right. So like, like it's starting to click, I think with certain people, number one, number two, Mike, I think it's hard to hide Joe Biden's cognitive decline, right? The left can say whatever they want in the media. You just can't, when you fall over on things, when you do talk like that, I mean, they, it's a problem. It's a real problem and it's visible. Um, do I trust these polls? Yes and no. I think, if I think America is as smart as I think they would, the polls should be probably higher, like 30 % lead for Trump. Um, but I think the numbers that keep growing in Trump's favor, the margin of error is not that big, right? Michael, like you look at the Republican primary polls, the margin of error is not 40%, right? He's up 40%. So even if they're off by 20%, he's still up 20%. The same thing's starting to happen in these head to head polls with Biden. It started, you know, Trump down, then it was Trump even, then it was Trump three, five, now it's 10. I mean, that's a lot. Yeah. And so I want to read a little bit here. So the post ABC poll shows Biden trailing Trump by 10 percentage points at this early stage in the election cycle. This is, by the way, the Washington Post little write -up, uh, after the poll was done. Um, so this is, this is actually humorous. Although the sizable margin of Trump's lead in this survey is significantly at odds with other public polls that show the general election contest to virtual dead heat, the difference between this poll and others as well as the unusual makeup of Trump's and Biden's coalitions in the survey. So Mike, the more words, the muddier this all gets, right? It sounds like excuses coming up, right? It sounds like Kamala Harris. It really is. It's like, yeah, total word salad. Um, I just said suggested is probably an outlier, right? So, so this, this I thought was interesting. Um, Byron Byron York of the Washington examiner said the post dumped on headline news in quotes from its own poll. So basically they do a poll. They say that their poll is likely an outlier and, and he, he goes on to then say Washington Post sub heads suggests its own poll may be an outlier. That may be true, but they put no such disclaimer in headline three years ago when they published a poll of Wisconsin, right before election day in 2020, showing Biden up 17 points on Trump, 10 points more than the average of other polls at the time. That was real clear politics, president Tom Bevin. So, so funny to me, so interesting, right? Even when they try to do something where they want to take part in the polling process and inform all of us as Americans, Ooh, that's not really where we wanted to see that. That's likely an outlier folks. Yeah. Oh, Donald Trump's winning. Shit. That doesn't count. Okay. What are we going to do? Next one. Okay. These were registered voters. What are we going to do? This is 10 points. Holy shit. What are we going to say? Let's just say it's an outlier. Oh damn. That was a fake poll. Oh, those stupid polls. Yeah. I mean, and it might, I'll say this before we get onto another topic on what's, what's, you're starting to see it all come together. It's like, it's like when they see, you know, hurricanes forming in the ocean, right? We're starting to see it now. The polls are shifting to Trump. Now we have Hillary Clinton coming out saying things like, Oh yeah, who's to say Putin won't medal in the election in 2024 again, right? You have others saying like, Ooh, we got to get Trump off the ballot or people saying, let's indict Trump again for this or that let's put gag orders on him. It's all coming together. Now the new thing too, Mike is, Hmm, let's indict the Bidens and let's see if we can get, we can get a Joe Biden off the ticket. We've used him, we've abused him. Now we're getting them out of here. It's all, it's that wave in the ocean. It's that hurricane forming in the ocean. That's what's happening. And I believe that because why, why would Hillary Clinton come out and say, if you're so confident right in the 2024 election, if you're so confident and Trump's an idiot, he's never going to make it again and get rid of them. Why are you now saying, Hmm, maybe Putin will medal in the elections again. Why would you say that? Right. Right. And by the way, this is the same guy that's richer than ever because his country has been able to sell oil at a high rate since Biden's been in office. This is the same country that has had its way with the Ukraine walking in there and taking over land since Biden's been in there. Why would, why would Putin medal in the election to get in and probably in his mind, the nut job of Donald Trump back in office, it may drop a nuke on him. Why would he want Trump back in office? Ask yourself that question. Don't have to, if you have any sense at all, then you don't even have to ask that. Um, so anyway, let's see what the next number of polls start to reveal. Let's see if, let's see if polls stop coming out, Mike, right? Because once you have one that's got Trump winning by double digit, maybe they just start to say, polls are stupid. Polls are for racists. You're homophobic. If you read polls, I mean, we'll see. Or they come out with some poll from the middle of nowhere. That's like Biden up 35 points on Donald Trump. Right, right. This was from registered voters in the white house. Yes. We interviewed seven people and it was six to one, six to one. And the other one we fired, we don't even know who that was. Yeah. So, so let's go to this now. Every once in a while, Mike, I have to do this CNN, right? I go to the cnn .com site. I just got to see what they're finding note newsworthy, noteworthy, whatever you want to say. And honestly, and I've often reported this, I'm often in disbelief at what they aren't reporting. In this example though, I was like, Oh, a few stories down. Here's a story, Mike, why more women are choosing not to have kids. So right away I'm thinking, Oh my gosh, these are the most unlikable people, the most anti traditional family structure people ever. They probably don't want to have a relationship at all. They don't want to ever have true, you know, intimacy with anybody cause they just can't do it. They're just nasty. They're mostly on, you know, just awful. These lots, so many of these people. So I go on to read a little bit of this and you know, this is, this is someone named Diana Volek who, who never, who was never someone who dreamed of becoming a mother, right? And these are just some of the reasons given. They don't want the responsibility of being a parent. They fear a lack of support. They like their life as it is. They're still judged for being child free. So so even when they don't choose to have children, right? So I'm like looking at this and then suddenly I go, wait a second. This was published at midnight, uh, basically Sunday or Monday, you know, September 25th. That's that's now as we record editor's note, this story was originally published in August, 2021. Some details such as the ages of those interviewed remain the same as they were when the story first published. So you're telling me right away, I thought, is the Hollywood writers strike? Is it bleeding into CNN now? Cause there aren't enough stories. There aren't enough people to write like modern stories. There's not enough news. They had to pull a story from two years ago to talk about why many women are deciding not to have kids. Like how pathetic is that? How pathetic. This new trend too, of like, it's cool to just say, screw it. I don't want to have a family is the weirdest thing ever. And then we wonder why these people are miserable, right? I mean, again, is parenting easy? I'm a new parent. Mike, you know that you, you parented two girls for, you know, they're what? 25, 22, right? So you've had, you've had 25 years of parenting experience. I've had, you know, almost a year. It's the most enjoyable thing ever. Right? I mean you're finally, it's good not to be selfish. It's good to take care of somebody else and love somebody else. Right. And I'm not saying you don't love your spouse, but your spouse is an adult relationship. You have to have a relationship with a baby, which turns into a toddler, which turns into an adolescent, a young adult like that. There's nothing more special than that. You should want that. Instead it's like, Oh, kids are stupid. I'm going to be so rich. Really weigh me down. Yeah, yeah, sure. Okay. They're going to weigh me down. I want my independence. I don't want to be responsible to another human being. I've got myself to worry about and treat and, and you know, I don't know, a door like I get like, that's fine. I want to see the next story though be why many women are deciding that having a child is rewarding. It can become a very loving, you know, yes, you have to be responsible. Like it just was so gross to me like that. And two years ago, this isn't even news. This is like, Oh my gosh, we got to fill these headlines. What do we get out? Pull that one again. We don't like kids. We don't want anyone, you know, raising children, my God for, you know, I'll say this though, Mike and all seriousness too. Like, yes. Is, is it fun being a college degenerate and booze and all the time and having a blast? Sure it is. We all did it right. I mean, yes, of course it's a fun thing. Is it fun to not care if you can go to bed at 2am or 5am or 5pm? Sure. That's great. But at some point you have to mature as an adult, take your job seriously, take your family seriously and care about things like I always say this, Mike, and this is something I've brought up a million times. Think about being, you know, if you want it, like if you didn't want to have kids, I'm not saying people that can't have kids cause I feel for them. But if you, if you didn't want children, cause you didn't want the responsibility, what do you do in your sixties and seventies with no family? Like that breaks my heart, honestly. Right? Like I, what my relationship with my parents, my wife's with her parents, like it's, it's fun, right? It's, you're a family. You get to do things together and you get to enjoy each other. Who doesn't want that? I just don't get it. Well, there's a lot of people in Washington that actually have spouses and children and grandchildren. And clearly there is not a lot of love and support going on between all of them. Because some of these people, I mean, we know who we're talking about, the Mitch McConnell's, the Joe Biden's, they would not be in front of microphones if people actually cared about them. They would not let those loved ones go through what they go through on a daily basis, unless they have no connection, no personal connection at all. Um, all right. AOC. She's almost the last story of our day, but there's one more after this. So we got a bonus. We do a bonus story here, breaking news. So AOC wins the hypocrisy award mic for this, uh, at least this week, maybe the year on this one decade, this is hilarious. And, um, I'll just set this up for a second. So here she was on CBS's face the nation. And, um, she was discussing president Biden's plan to visit the Michigan auto workers on Tuesday. So host of CBS's face, the nation, Margaret Brennan points out a couple of interesting facts about AOC and her selection of vehicles. So let's go ahead and play that. Yup.

Feels good to win this game feels good to play the way we play, but we got to do the same thing on Wednesday and continue to push. Jared Allen delivered 23 points at 11 rebounds. Darius Garland finished with 18 points and 11 assists and Evan mobley added 18.29 boards to help Cleveland improve to 26 and 7 at home. Pascal siakam had 25 points and 8 rebounds for the raptors who ended a season high four game winning streak. I'm Dave ferry.
Hood-Schifino helps No. 17 Hoosiers sweep No. 5 Purdue
"Indiana freshman Jalen hood chicano had 35 points as the 17th ranked hoosiers have set in state rival Purdue for the second time this season 79 71. You come to Indiana and you know Indian anniversary rivalry and everything. So, you know, I knew 5 a big time game. I can go down as you know, one of the big time in the end of play. So, you know, it was definitely great to have a performance like I did. The 5th ranked boilermakers were outscored 45 33 in the second half in losing for the fourth time in 16 games. Zach edi had 26 points for 24 and 5 perdue, while Indiana in peruse to 20 and 9. Tom mccabe, West Lafayette, Indiana

"Hackers were 3.5 Point favorite. We both took the saints. We did not see 38 to 3 coming like that. The only one Broncos and Giants were involved in this, but I'm sorry. Yeah, they weren't. They should have been. Should have been. Yeah. Now that weekend, boy, I'm not blaming anybody. It just happens. I'll take the hit on that one. Packers look Coming as a 3.5 point favorite again. That was, you know, most people were as Aaron Rodgers. You know, he's hell bent and look and the Nomad Saints have been relocated right there, living in Dallas or playing in Jacksonville. That's the number one reason why I took New Orleans They're playing for not just the guy next to them Good point, but a state and an entire region of the country along the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Ida, and they showed up Hell bent, led by Jamis Winston, what a performance. If he plays consistent like that. He's not going to over five touchdown passes every week, but he plays like that consistently and doesn't put his team in a bad spot. Good luck to people in the NFC dealing with that team with him, that coach and that defense when it comes to the Saints. That's where we were right and where we were wrong on Freddie if it's Simmons presented by progressive insurance against us by to hang out with us. They're here. Thanks to the Goodyear Hotline. "This is the team because the bears look bad. The Vikings look awful wouldn't be surprised if Mike Zimmer was the first head coach fired and Detroit not only just lost Jeffrey Cuda they're starting corner for the season due to an Achilles injury, but they look very shaky defensively, even with them against the Niners. Panic or patients Number three. She's Amber Wilson. I'm Joe Foreign ball. We are filling in for Greenie here on ESPN radio. Urban Meyer in his debut as the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars, loses 37 21 at Houston. First year head coach right and I have no idea if he's going to be a good coach in the NFL. I know he's one of the most story coaches ever maybe arguably the best or second best coach, staffer to it in college football. I have no idea what that looks like in the NFL, and it doesn't always pan out on both levels. I guess panic from that regard. I mean, they look completely ill prepared. In his first game mistakes happen, But I do think that you have to question the amount of mistakes. Things like lining up incorrectly multiple times just in the first half alone, burning time out that coaching issues. It was a sloppy game, so I guess panic from that perspective. Panic without question your plan that Houston Texans for crying out loud. This was the Vegas favorite to go. Oh, and 17. You were 3.5 point favorite on the road. You can lose that game. It's the NFL. You can lose any game, but you go into that match up and you only hold the ball for 25 minutes. The Texans held the ball for 35 minutes with no talent on offense. You committed three turnovers, 10 penalties and you were three for 11. On third down, That's just sloppy. You can lose and play well. Look at the Cleveland Browns at Kansas City. Then you can lose against bad teams playing awful football, and that's what happened. At the very least, The Jaguars should've been buttoned up, You can lose but look buttoned up. The Jets look buttoned up to an extent in Carolina. Jacksonville look awful Panic or patients. Number four. She's Amber Wilson. I'm Joe 14 ball. "20 years, So it's an extended period of time on the Supreme Court. I think that it would be then it would, As times change is cultures change the jurors. Then would we wouldn't have to hear about a liberal quarter of conservative court there would be new blood coming into the court. So I don't think that that's a bad idea at all. I don't know if it will ever happen, but it's not a bad idea. Football is back in the Cardinals dominated Tannehill unfortunate hit and sacked. Chandler Jones five sacks on the day for 55, Chandler Jones, making some money. Are the Cardinals better than we thought they would be. Yeah, their defenses a lot better. I knew it was going to be much improved, but, uh, that defensive line now let's not, you know, we're not talking about Super Bowls, but we are talking about much improvement. This is there in the toughest division in football. All four teams in the division won their opening games, all of them pretty convincingly. The 40 Niners had kind of a comeback by the Detroit Lions. But they were convincing in their win. They are in a very, very difficult division. But to see Chandler Jones go off like that J. J Watt plays so well. It took all the pressure off their defensive backs. That was going to be a big question, and then what they were able to do on offense once they got going And once they got going on offense, they've got to stop the penalties on offense. You know, they're still going to be a big question Mark there for Cliff Kingsbury, because that's a coaching issue. And when you have alignment problems and everything else, But are the Cardinals better? Yes, they were favored. They were. They were underdogs by 3.5 points, So even Vegas got it wrong. They thought they were 3.5 point underdog at Tennessee. They went in there and beat them 38 to 13. They've got to be better than we thought they were, And I thought they were going to be pretty good. And I'm really looking forward.

Just got off the phone with my baby bro dot dot dot a c l It was Eric Davis, who broke the story. It was brutal to here. And now, Polly, the big news copes. Shanahan said Richard Sherman on the table. I think it's a smart move on the table. I think it's a good idea for one procedural issue. There is NFL discipline that could be meted out. If you haven't run in with the law of the NFL can discipline you don't my opinion kind of. Historically, he didn't do anything so violent and so egregious isn't like a Trevor Bauer thing or something like that. It was really like a personal thing. You know He's going through some demons, you know, and he did crash his car and ran away. You know what I mean? It's not a good look at the door to that's the damage thing. I think that video of that was wife is completely. You know, you gotta look at the box. We probably shouldn't even get into this, But no, no you're gonna have to matter is he's on the table. Yeah, it doesn't make a lot of sense. If you're 49 to bring Richard Sherman back, and also, you know, look this stuff off the field. Like you said. I think he is pretty much known and respected as a man of character, So we'll see where it goes, Er said yesterday, he said in the Paddington I still consider Richard Sherman, a top 10 corner. Guy did say that today's said that a bold statement. I don't know if that holds up, but he's certainly help, he said. It certainly help and then Josh Norman Josh Norman, the Emanuel Mosley. "O'clock window. Let's get to the fourth one right here we go back out to Arrowhead. It is the Browns and the Chiefs in the fourth quarter. Here's Darren Smith. Look, Kansas City they are China is back into the ballgame. They've recovered a farmer from Nick Charles on the ground last position. But right now, even electric 22 to 20. Cleveland is on the four yard line. The ball into the end zone. He hands it off to Kareem Hunt and Karima gets the ball into the end zone right now, so the Chiefs now trailed 28 to 2010 24 left to go depending on what the Else do they do They go from one for two. But Kansas City is around by at least a touchdown, if not two possessions after this extra point kick, So right now, that's where seeing Eric Tourist edema signed at the moment she used to trailing 28 looks like they're going to line up for an extra points to look like they'll be trailing 29 to 20, which in 24 left to go to the ball game. The clock is going to be the chief source enemy right now. And that's Darren Smith. Jody. I love this statement. It's not over yet. You still got some time here A little over 10 minutes to go, and I never count out Patrick Mahomes. Heck, the guy was down 10 points with 7 30 to go in the Super Bowl up against the 49 ers. But the Browns they got off to a hot start Aggressive went for it on fourth and three to open up the game, eventually got the touchdown, then one for two to make it eight. Nothing. Cleveland for the most part today has just really brought it in a tough environment in our head. Browns are in an enviable position. But like you said, the game's not over. You have a magic man. On the other side, Mahomes does spectacular human eraser. Yes, these. This game has time to play, although, as correctly stated by our stringer clock is becoming as big an enemy of the brown as the Browns as anything else, where it may be over and I'll go ahead and step out on that limb there and overall it off, I'll eat it. The Giants had a chance to cut their deficit to just six points against the Broncos had the ball inside the 11th and goal. They were the 31st team in the NFL last year in scoring Red Zone points. The red zone is once again jumped up and bit them in the rear end. Daniel Jones 4th 4th down pass knocked away so Denver takes the ball back over with a 13 point lead. Seven minutes to go. The Broncos have been able to run the ball fairly effectively today and Teddy Bridgewater has played off the run with high percentage passes to move the Broncos up and down the field. Couple of first downs and the Giants are going to be in a bad way as well. They're up against it in the Broncos here in the fourth quarter. Next, folks just makes the field goal. The Patriots have to hold for three and settled for three. So that's a one point game Miami up 17 to 16 with 10 36 to go in the fourth quarter. Talking about games that we are saying are over. How about the Saints? Jamis Winston just had another passing touchdown. It's 38 to 3 Jodi like from a fantasy perspective. If you told me my fantasy quarterback was only going to have 100 and 48 yards, I wouldn't be happy when he has five touchdowns and only 14 completions. I'm in a pretty good mood from a fantasy perspective is a whole bunch of fantasy points in those touchdown passes, but I'm I'm guessing very few players actually had Jamie's wins. Stand as their starting quarterback this week. Let's be honest here. How many fantasy guys had never enough to say Yes, I'll start Jamous this week. He was very much a proven to me Type player coming in week one. I said on the air that I thought Peyton made the right call by going with him as it is starting quarterback. His jack of all trades, uh, quarterback Taysom Hill that you would last year I thought was a mistake when he used them when Brees was out. I believe that coming into this season, so give a nod to patent for predicting the right guy. I just didn't know if James was going to be good enough. Well, he's been more than good enough week one and he's kind of put Aaron Rodgers in his back pocket and waved goodbye to him, Man. I didn't see this one coming. Not only the James would be this good. But that Aaron Rodgers would have these kind of struggles Week one. And maybe we should have because I'm young and dumb. You're experienced. And you know how this works in the betting world. I look at the Packers at 3.5 Point favorite this week. I thought it was a lock Jody. And I think a lot of people around the country did as well and there's no shot that the Packers now cover the 3.5 points. They were early on the live line at halftime 6.5 Point dogs and Guess what if you took the Packers, Plus the point you're nowhere close because it is the Saints leading 38 to 3 and Jody's 100%, Right. The right decision by Sean Payton to go with Jamis Winston. Even with that being said, I don't think anyone could have predicted. Not one, Not two, Not three, not four, but five passing touchdowns for Jameis Winston Ezekiel joining back here with you. I on football coming back. This is I on football on CBS Sports radio..

No Giants baseball today due to weather Go ahead and play the Marty Tim, if you if you have it at your disposal. Why? Why was This Giants game. Post Giants baseball rained out today due to rain. It's I noticed the subtle edit in there. There's no way Marty did that. You guys are having some funds behind fun behind the scenes with tricky giants baseball rained out today due to rain stop it. Cut it out. Quick, quick gambling question for you guys. I see quick because the game is going to start in a minute. Um, bucks minus 3.5 against the Nets tonight. What side would you rather have? Um, I don't know. How to say this I'm recording. So that's all I'll say. Okay, duly noted. So don't give us for that's what I would say. Um Look, if you want to go with the box, this is your time. If you feel like they're going to win, win a game or because if they lose this one, it's over. So you feel like if you take the bucks? Then I'll take one shot at him. And this would be the shot. Uh, the other the game two was weird. They were favored in Game two, which I was like, Wow. No, like I really wanted to take the Nets. I didn't but I was like that's a third because they just got waxed. Another favored So Here's an interesting thing now. 3.5 for the game. 3.5 for the first half. The same exact mind. Same exact line. I guess I used to be a trend a few years ago. Uh, if a team was down 20 going home. Bedroom first quarter in first half. And apparently, it was like 18 and two At one point people killing it just killing because usually if it's a 3.5 points spread, the first half line would be like to Something like that. Sure, so, But now it's the same sense. Do you see that Latin NFL where teams like a 3.5 point favorite? And then there are three point favorite for the first half. It's like what the hell you got delayed three for the first half and 3.5. That's because the back door and all that kind of stuff they factor in. But Would take the box, but I won't and I wouldn't. But I would just because it's one game just like I take the Nuggets tomorrow. I think we're going to lose this series. But if you believe they'll win a game if they're not going to get swept That's the game to take him because that should be all out. Maximum effort. Whatever crowd is, there should be going crazy, so I would expect just the best effort from both those teams. Then if you lose it, they just say, screw it, then maybe just turn around a bit. The other team the next game because usually three turns into four. Oh, teams don't come back from three Eo and most of the time they don't even try. That's like great. What are going to win this game? They got to get on a plane. Go back to New Jersey. A go back to Phoenix down 3 to 1 lead there. Nah, not just Nah, it's your It's toast at that point, so that would be my That would be my lien is to take both those home teams down to Oh, just give him a shot at one game. And to see what happens. But I don't. I don't. I mean, how could you feel good about that? Based on what the Nets did? In one and two. They just beat them. It's Christmas in referendum Really? Because you know he's he's shooting 23% from beyond the arc. He shot 41% in the regular season. Is he going to show up tonight? That's right, Well, less is more. Just You know what? You get two other guys on that team now. And let them they look, get M v p on the team. Let him do his saying, Let your holiday do his thing and just take the shots that are available, like when they're opened Fire. But don't come down and then just fire Long three with no passes, don't they? Don't try to make something happen with a little left handed runner. You know, stuff like that. You're like, What are you doing? Well, why would you take that? You got other guys that you don't have to do. Everything. But I would be shocked by this. I was I was damn near shot game, too. I thought the bucks couldn't shoot much worse. They didn't. But they didn't shoot very good from the three point line there at home now, and they're good three point shooting team. I would be shocked if they came out and just laid bricks from behind the arc Tonight. I got to think tonight they're going to at least are working their way back to back to the main a little bit and started shooting the ball a little bit better tonight, so Again. That would be my thoughts. But again, I can't. How can you feel confident? Taking a team that got smashed in the face twice. And not only do they have to win, they gotta win by four. It's not like Hey, we won were good. That one by two, You lose, uh, right against the Nets team that can score and it's sleep. Yeah, I wouldn't call it that. Lakers Lose Anthony Davis To Injury, Game To Nuggets
"Hello Lakers Nation welcome and apparently our inttra went the way of Anthony Davis's Achilles because it was not was not there where I thought it was so welcome and guys to an impromptu show a little bit because just regular, you know, we thought we'd be talking about the game tonight, but Lakers vs. Nuggets, but the sense I get from Lakers fans is that we mostly want to talk about the injury to Anthony Davis's Achilles Smith and everything else. Frankly secondary joining me tonight is Gary Sheffield Junior. Welcome back Gary great great show too. Cuz a call back before man roughing night, and obviously everybody is kind of waiting and holding our breath until we get that MRI on 80s Achilles tomorrow. Yeah, and we're going to wait on this summer. I but I also want to put some emphasis on the fact that I would love if Anthony Davis could just get you know, just take a load off and take maybe two or three potential even a month and just give to make sure that this guy's ready to play because the way the Lakers are playing there are two headed monster if Anthony Davis is a ride. The Lakers are winning a title LeBron's not right. They're not winning a title. They can figure out the rest of these pieces in between jobs. But when Anthony Davis is going to be dealing with this type of injury, especially with an achilles' you don't want him to say. Yeah, it feels good enough. I think I can go. We want to make sure that Anthony Davis doesn't even have to worry about this type of boundary because it didn't even seem like he took significant contact for that to be reactivated and that goes to show you really how how rushed this injury was and it wasn't necessarily I wouldn't call it necessary. So right now the Lakers are in position there twenty one in seven. I mean, they're they've they've really earned the right to to give a t sometimes. So I'm hoping that they're really patient with this and they don't they don't just get too excited just cuz it feels that way. I can give something this team. I want him to take. Yeah, I mean, you know what, it feels like they weren't patient enough to begin with with this injury. And that was that was a concern for a lot of fans know I will say I was worried about it. Yeah, but then I saw Anthony Davis's quote after the last game against the Memphis Grizzlies, which was a win you put a 35 points. You look good looked explosive on a few place. So I felt a little better there, but then he also mentioned that yeah, it can get better with ranch, but I'm not trying to rest but then that kind of you know, some red flags. They're like, hey I can make this better if I just rest it, but I don't want to do that. But then he also threw in that the team doctors and everything are okay with him being out there and playing like they gave him the okay to be out there. So to me that that says that there wasn't a risk for more injury and I had dr. Edwin Porter's over here on the Lakers Nation YouTube channel, come on and say the same things say this isn't this doesn't put you at higher risk for tearing your

And that motorcycle was being driven by the son of the most famous and baddest mob boss in New Orleans. And there's the dynamic of trying to keep his son and Cranston. Out not of jail, but alive, because if it ever comes out, and then the dynamic of the Crime and Justice element of it, and it's interesting. I like the show because it's really definitely there's nobody that you can root for. And it's rare that you have a show like this where there isn't one person on the show that you can truly root for soprano was kind of like that. I mean, you realize that everybody was just a bad person. In The Sopranos and even Carmela and Tony's family. As they were well aware of who his dad is, and was, and that's looked, you know, teach their own and stuff. I'm not here to play more of police by any means, but they were bad and at least the illustration of it was bad and then The acceptance of it by the family, So I don't know if every now and again you'd find maybe a sympathetic person. If it was, you know, Christopher's fiancee who eventually gets popped where Ratting whatever. Maybe But there really wasn't Truly sympathetic character day in and day out with that show, and it was done on purpose in this case. There are people that are not In that same vein, as like Tony Soprano was right. And they're just bad because of what they were trying to hide or cover up. My point of it is that the finale is this tonight. And now that I have a delay here with the Daytona On late night NBA action where everybody in their parents 40 to 38, by the way, 5 46 to go in the second to Drake try and they're trying their best. Come back in this game, but everybody in their parents that grandparent's anybody who can place a wager. Has been on the Lakers tonight. Taking on the Nuggets, and I don't know if I can slide in on that one. Knowing that there is such a lopsided amount of money specifically placed On the road team in L A. And we talked about how difficult it is in general to win on the road in the MBA. And the one team that has true lie. I should say two. I'm not so the Clippers look Don't know what the Clippers are yet. I'm waiting for this foot to drop that. I can't take anything away from their record by any means. We know Phoenix is a good basketball team, but even they struggle with it. It's Utah because they've done something special this season. And it's the Lakers and I think people are buying into that tonight specifically. That the Lakers don't really have that they don't suffer from any road court disadvantage. You have the home court advantage on the road court disadvantage. L A doesn't suffer from that. And Denver still kind of this middling team that's still trying to figure it's way out. They haven't truly yet so far their prime right now to get blown out of their own building. There is a ton of money. Lopsided amount is upwards to 92% of the public bet. Moneywise on the Lakers. And it's not even a gigantic line. If you really wanted to look at what people are betting on. If you just look at where it is, and again I'm here in P a It's a 3.5 point. You're just over that one possession. That's enough for you. Maybe because you think at that point just take the Lakers. Take him 3.5. They're gonna win comfortably. I guess my question would be if you've already taken the Lakers at 3.5. How comfortable of a victory do you think it really convey? Because there are a couple of other plays tonight. Like the cabs are getting pushed around. They come off a pretty big blow. I wouldn't touch that line by any means. 11.5 against the Clippers team. That's probably just going to go through every single motion humanly possible. But at minus 900, I would definitely play the Clippers on Money line. Now, Lakers at minus 3.5 and the Clippers at minus nine. A parlay is going to get your plus 1 12 so Think about how greedy you could really get, and I would stay away from this place. Would take Denver and I've already pushed Denver up to 7.5 on other action. What I recognize that there are so many people that have put All of their money on the Lakers at minus 3.5. Okay, well, would you cover too?.

"Three with Durant. I'm definitely gonna pick the over. But my goodness, man, this is still a team. Everybody's trying to figure out but I'll take you all right. So let's get into the nitty gritty now the NFC Championship game tomorrow, Meyer and Green Bay laying 3.5 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. You know what man? This is. This is a situation where I just can't unsee the 38 unanswered points in Tampa Bay. It was a long time ago, but the way that they were able to make Aaron Rodgers make mistakes. To me that says that they're gonna make this a close game. I don't think they win, but I do think that covers it. Half is the key for me. I think these teams are fairly even I would give Green Bay a slight edge. If it was 2.5. I'd probably go ahead and take Green Bay since I think they're more likely to win. But if I think this is a 55 45 likelihood of Green Bay winning and I get the extra 3.5 points, I got to take it even though I would really rather bet on Green Bay because I feel good about them winning, But I think Tampa Bay has a good enough shot to keep it within three. So I'll take Tampa Bay to company. All right, Matt, we start with you on this one. A F C championship game. 6:40 P.m. Eastern. Is your kick Kansas City, laying three against the Buffalo Bills. So this is the exact opposite of that analysis because I don't have that half a point. And I feel very good about if Patrick Mahomes plays this is now the time for your third or fourth mortgage to come in, because if he plays and he's able to get through it, then I know the Chiefs are gonna win, man like they're gonna win by at least 10, and it's gonna be a lot of fun so I believe in the value of modern medicine. I believe that no matter what they will try to keep him out there, and so I think the Chiefs will win and I think they will cover. I'll take the Chiefs..

"Mahomes is going to play this weekend. The betting line has anything changed in these two games falling? No, not really. Kansas City still favored by three points, and that's what it would be favored by. If Mahomes is healthy. They've never really taken that game off the board. Because of the home status. The Great Packers are now a 3.5 point favorite, Okay? Kansas City do they normally cover the Buffalo seems to cover pulling. I'm pretty sure the Chiefs are on a non covering run, especially the second half of season. They've They've won a lot of games by six points or fewer. I mentioned there's such a fine line in these games that it could be one play could be one person. It could be somebody or something. You never expected. But you have this fine line of Brady's nine Super Bowl appearances, which he won. 68 of the nine were one score games and the other one was tied midway through the fourth quarter. Patrick Mahomes three postseason wins last year, the Chiefs were down by double figures in all three games. It takes a moment It takes a a defensive lapse. You saw that with the Niners, where they forgot where Tyreek Hill was. But you have this situation where Jimmy Garoppolo completed pass and you win the Super Bowl. Second in five. They don't run. They pass. Chris Jones knocks down a pass like these small things, or we would be talking about Jimmy Garoppolo differently than we do now. And we would wouldn't be looking at Patrick Mahomes the same way because he did not play well, in that Super Bowl. Yeah, Club. What about the bad calls to the New Orleans? Miss? Pass interference and the desk Bryan catch jump to mind. There's so many moments where We tend to look at somebody's legacy and you go. He won this or he didn't win this. And then when you realized when you look at it closer, maybe there was just one play. And here you have, You know the point spreads or field goals in these games, so you can imagine there is going to be a moment that is going to decide this and it may not be with your star quarterback sampling. But is it fair to say that nobody has more to gain this weekend than Aaron Rodgers? He has an early in his career Super Bowl. He gets one. Now he puts Brett Farve in his rear view mirror as far as a packer. Great, and now you're talking about the all time great list and riders is entrenched. Yeah. Separates himself from Brett Farve. You know within the franchise, but you separate yourself. You at least put yourself on the level been robbed Bliss, Berger, Eli Manning as far as the number Super Bowls, he's better than those two quarterbacks. But if Josh Allen would win Like you want to talk about that changes. Everybody's perception of you. That's where you go. Oh, my gosh. Josh Allen has truly arrived. I think people are still a little apprehensive about jumping on that and saying he's absolutely positively going to be great. He show these glimpses but the improvement that he made Which is what you want to see years. You know 1 to 2 or 2 to 3. You want to see if they make that jump in Josh Allen became a formidable force to deal with as far as quarterbacks go in game plan for him. That ability to run. The thing that I would look for in the game is Josh Allen's running. How much does he run? How much Willie run. Can Patrick Mahomes run? But if I'm Josh Allen? And I don't have a running game. I have to be the running game because that to me could be the difference in the game. Yeah, pulling Josh Allen last year in 16 games with a 58% passer. He threw for only 3000 yards. That's not nothing but for a quarterback, starting 3016 games it is he had 20 touchdowns and nine picks. He upped it to 69% passing. 4500 yards. 37 touchdowns. Same model picks NFL announced that this Super Bowl in Tampa will host 22,000 fans, 7500 of which will be vaccinated healthcare workers being given free tickets to the game. There was an awkward exchange between Shaquille O'Neal and Donovan Mitchell of the Utah Jazz. And this is what it sounded like. I don't know what shack was trying to do, but I don't think it was mission accomplished. Whether there's a shot I said tonight that you are one of my favorite players, but you don't have what it takes to get the next level seven on purpose. I want you to hear it.
