"Let's go to Covid so Still get letters and I'm going to read a couple of them. About people who are you know all anti vaccine and and all that. All I can say is we report the facts of covid here as what we do. And then you can decide what to do with those facts. This delta variant of Covid is more contagious than the original. It's obvious 95% Of the people who are getting the delta variant are unvaccinated. That's it. Now, if you won't believe that I don't know what to tell you. Those are hospitals reporting to Atlanta. All right in the hospitals do their due diligence when someone comes in So if you don't believe it, then you don't believe it, But it's like saying there are four seasons. Well, I'm not going to believe that. Okay, fine. So the delta variant now is whipping around this country. And the people who are not vaccinated are getting it and spreading it to other non vaccinated people. There are some vaccinated people, particularly with the Johnson and Johnson vaccine that are getting it but usually a very mild case of it. Okay, so that's the fact that that's your baseline. But now we have a big problem. And Children. All right. What are we going to do when the kids go back to school and some of them already in session? Are you going to make him wear masks? So I asked my staff and very nice job of this to, um Get some stats and we got him from the American Academy of Pediatrics. So at the top of the lot. Stat number one. Is that of all the cases of Covid. Since the beginning of the pandemic in the USA Children comprise 14% that's under the age of 18. Okay? So that's a very low number. 23 States have reported Children being hospitalized because of covid. But 27 states have had not one child in the hospital. That's why I didn't That's that is pretty amazing. Okay? According to the CDC is covid data tracker As of August 8th, and today is the ninth yesterday. 3% Children ages 12 to 15 or vaccinated, That's all. But they're not getting Covid or the Delta. Very much so far. Only 2% agency 16 to 70. Are vaccinated. So that's 5% altogether of kids under the age of 18 remember, if you're under the age of 12, you cannot get the vaccine because I haven't done enough studies to see If it's worthwhile or not. So, um The fact is that this point Children are are Seemingly resistant. To the worst parts of Covid and those who do get it. Get it like the flu. So in the UK, they did a study on the kids. 5 to 17. This is from the Land Set Child, an adolescent health journal. It said most Children with Covid recover within a week. It's like the flu. But now you've got this hue and cry, uh, to have the kids messed up. In school. So I wanted to talk to one of the best experts in the country of Baghdad and he comes to us from Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. William Schaffner is a professor of infectious diseases at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. First of all in the stats that I just gave that anything, um, strike you stand out. Well, I have a great deal of respect Bill for the American Academy of Pediatrics. But I was surprised that a substantial number of states have not had any admissions of Children for covid to their hospitals. That seems anomalous. I would like 27 well. That you know that caught my eye to that caught my eye. Because what's happened here in Tennessee just recently. Let me give you just three quick numbers in early journal July we had about four Children in all of the hospitals in Tennessee admitted with Covid mid July, it went up to 17, and as of Friday, it was 27. So it's clearly increasing and some of those Children are and pediatric intensive care units, which is pretty darn unusual. Our commissioner of health was Nutrition is really worried about this. All right? So you went from four kids, The 27 kids with this, uh, variant, and those are those are human beings under the age of 18 Correct Credit. Okay, so there's still a very small number of the population in Tennessee. You're not, um and remember again. I'll remind everybody beat 12. Birth to 12. No vaccine. Okay, you don't get it. But When there's an article in the Wall Street Journal, the Op ed page by two esteemed doctors and we checked them out a very, very You know? Incredible. They say that wearing a mask in most situations as more harm than good to the student. Absolutely the teenage student. It's more harm than good, so that that the cure is worse than the disease here. But you don't believe that, do you? Well, First of all, let me tell you of the two. I know one of them pretty well, and I do respect him. But his view is very different than that of the American Academy of Pediatrics, which undoubtedly your staff has told you has recommended that every child who goes to school should be wearing a mask this fall, and I certainly agree with that. And the pediatrician's here at Vanderbilt certainly agree with that. So, yeah, I'm I would have a different transmission level is so low. Now why? While and you know 27 states don't have any cases in those states where there isn't a lot of Delta or covid in general, why would you impose that on Children? Well, First of all, I'm not sure about those numbers. I'd have to look at that again, Uh, happy to do that with you sometime, and the A P, But I think what we're trying to do is prevent cases. We don't know how much transmission is occurring. We can hold two thoughts in our mind. At the same time, there may be a fair amount of loaves symptomatic spread that's not being tested. Relatively few people getting sick, But as Children come together in schools, we don't What we want to do is avoid an explosion of cases in schools across the country. And of course, there are a number of ways to do that Everybody who should be vaccinated should be vaccinated. And then what we do is, in addition, put another layer of protection out to reduce transmission, particularly to the youngsters. I don't see. I disagree, and I'm not a medical person. I'm coming at it from a more of a common sense point of view. So what I would do if I were the governor of any state what I would allow each school district to make the decision. And then parents would be involved in that. So if you wanted your child to wear a mask, then the child could wear the mask. But if you said no, the child didn't have to, I would require teachers in the classroom to be vaccinated. That I would absolutely do that. All right, and anybody any adult on the campus would have to be vaccinated because you just don't want You want to cut down any potential danger?.

"Anything about Tch is you know where Tuition, free public charter school, and the only way to get in. It is a wait list. You know. So you have people who have you no planned on seeing their kids Tch for a long time, so that you know the TC. A community kind of goes from ends. In some cases, you know birth until they graduate from from high school with people knowing they want kids to go there. The neat little community inside a bigger city s O. You find out the community's a lot bigger when you start, you know, to make a run like that, Um, so that's been good. And then we You know, it's been hard. It's been hard. Being in person. And you know, I have to keep a Ah Excel spreadsheet of, You know all the quarantines to make sure that we don't have people early and stuff like that of a 47 kid roster. I think that that sheet has 26 or 27 kids on there, and most of those quarantines were healthy kids, and it's It's something you can't control. But again, it's a testament to you know the school knowing that the best way to educate these kids K through 12 is to get him in front of a live teacher and and and the best you know, and some of the quarantines or just Have been the cost of doing business and it's been frustrating for everybody. But the way that these kids are are Is responding to it. You know, we play tent, Denver, one of the best programs in the state, and and the coaches a second. It's winning, winning the coast in the history Colorado really good I formation guy and the morning of the game. We lose our starting Senior captain, middle linebacker to a quarantine again. He was healthy, but you know, being a following the state's rules in and precautions, So we roll in a sophomore kid, and he Way well, and we didn't miss a beat, eh? So it's been, you know that kind of community and pitching ending in and that kind of stuff been really good for us, and you know, we can't be with the kids as much we do in the past, but You know, we know. You know when these kids aren't at school or with us, they're still together. You know they have been together since kindergarten and You know, I I think they just go from house to house like a pack of Locusts eating all the food, you know, Um, you know, from basement the basement, so they've been They've been together through all this and, you know, um So I think they've almost gotten closer with this kind of stuff with, you know, the lots of activities for a while about all they could do was hang out with each other. And you know what we used to do Growing up, you know, actually hang out and have fun, Okay? And you if you thought you'd just be a ball, coach, Justin like that's what you thought you were gonna be a ball coach. And now you're keeping track of quarantines and stuff. Oh, man, I have. I'm so sick of covert math. Yeah, no corporate that I I can't even imagine. But What you guys have been able to do this season has certainly Provided a very nice distraction for a lot of people around Colorado Springs to follow what you guys have been able to do, and it all culminates tomorrow. What's uh, What's your biggest concern with rifle? What did they do really well. So Coach Kabir has been coaching inn in Colorado for a long, long time, and, you know he's kind of got his signature anywhere he goes, so this will be his third or fourth state title game. And he's just so patient, you know he'll he'll take three or four yards, snap and and just kind of, you know, uh, play the clock and really slow things down and try to make it a wonder to possession game. And, uh, you know, uh, It's gonna be one of those deals where you know they're They're physical downhill team and there could be patient and you know that's kind of been a little bit of difference in the two games teams. We've been based in the in the playoffs last two weeks, asked and throws a ball all over the place with You know, talented little quarterback and you know, uh, Um That kid it at at Sand Creek last week's like trying to grab a handful of water s o, You know, those two teams, arm or explosive teams, and and now we're gonna have to, you know, buckle down and And face a team that you know we may have takes 9 10 12 snaps to get him off the field. S so that's just a little bit of a change. But, you know, we've been in games like that before. With hunt in our league And with Lauren, our league and playing Kent, Denver a lot, So you know, we've you know, we're You're never ready for a program like rifle there heck of a program. But we think that we think way like our plan and you know, we like our roster. I didn't know you guys are up for that challenge tomorrow. Last thing before I let you go, Justin, I have heard through the grapevine that you have had The unfortunate experience of co hosting a radio show with Jesse Kurtz. Would you care to Elaborate on that and just how trying of a time that was That was a long, long time ago. We were both in CSU together. And he was on TV because he's got the face for TV and I found out that TV. I couldn't do sports on TV because I look too serious, so they put me on radio. And hey, I Justin, you you made out better like I'll just tell you unbiased opinion radios better. Yeah, I think it was a lot of fun. We got a radio show that we, you know, kind of You know, everybody's kind of left us alone and gave us an hour to do whatever we wanted to. And then we're able to go live be remote, almost the way games, So a lot of the way games he was on and we bring him on for those, and It was fun. You know, we're all trying to figure it out and and you know, young and You know, the funniest memory with Jesse was we went to the first Mountain West football game in Provo, Utah, BYU the first one ever televised and the GameDay crew was there because I used to call the Thursday night games..

"The kids are being taught Americans. They're racist, sexist, homophobic. America is a bad seed 16 19 project whole countries found that on racism and slavery And all the good things that happen in this country don't matter because you are born of the devil. You're an American. And I watch this crap. Where the president who had some peccadilloes had some tweeting problems. I don't like the name calling. Damn it! His policies worked. 33.4% GDP annual growth in the last quarter. We were coming back, and now America takes a huge step backwards by more social dependency and shutting down the public schools looking to my left. Joe Biden, who's not a well, man. Saying again this morning he will not order the public schools to open, for example, in Chicago or Cincinnati. We're not going to do that, because the teachers unions voted for him, 95%. And he needs their votes in the midterm or whatever he wants to cause as much chaos and confusion as is possible. Blame on trump and white, racist Republicans and our beloved news media. That should be focused on jobs destroyed. Public schools that are shuttered. The incapability. We have to deal with the lack of job creation and inner city areas. He's dealing with Marjorie Taylor Greene and I'm sure the Trump impeachment trial on Tuesday is gonna be front and center. They wanted him gone before he got the office during the transition they spied on him, said three years investigating him. Robert Mueller said There's no evidence of a Russian collusion delusion No one's ever been held to account exists except some low level attorney and the FBI. Received probation. Talk about not recognizing reality. Well, hell, the Russian collusion delusion was an example of that. But for the last several days, Marjorie Taylor Greene So the media has a weapon of mass distraction that they use on you. As jobs have destroyed his public education collapses as Chicago and Cincinnati. Have record high homicides and crimes. Lack of family formation. We have to talk about Marjorie Taylor Greene and what she believed a year or two ago. Now what she believed or what she expressed was despicable about Jewish families from space using a laser beam to start California forest fires or the 9 11 didn't happen. They're Parkland was made up. Our new town. You kidding? May I couldn't care less about Marjorie Taylor Greene. There are Democrats who say equally stupid things on the left that are never covered because it doesn't fit the media bias. The media will spend its time on Marjorie Taylor Greene take individual stupidity and misconduct and quickly apply it generally to everyone. Who voted for Trump. Take that one incident. And the events of January. 6th will stay with us for a lifetime because that now the Democrats in the media want to use that like a 9 11 moment to smear anyone. Who believes in limited government, less taxes, family formation, good jobs. Thanks to that character America first. Oh, no. You can't believe because you supported those, including that dude with a bull's head on that ran around the capital. Those guys should be fully prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and sent to prison. Much like those who burned down precinct houses and U. S federal court rooms and houses and try to kill cops. There were 700 cops injured and several murdered during the summer riots on behalf of black lives matter. And they're not prosecuted generally because it doesn't fit the media buys and Cincinnati we had a couple of 1000 bums trash downtown Cincinnati. My knowledge No one's been held to account and that one dude who put a skateboard through the Windows and Hammond County Justice Center is still running around. Can't find him. Oh, no. But those who did the Capitol despicable acts need to be prosecuted. 100%. What about the others? What about them? So now. We fight, Chris. We stand. Others fight to get Children in school. And the teachers unions dominated by left wing Progressive Democrats refused to work. Let's continue. Take some calls early. Some guest coming up later Got the great Tim McGee. Coming up about one of seven got Kevin Jackson. The black Sphere. Kevin Jackson network dot com. Coming up two of five and more. Go to Ashley. In Columbus, a male Ashley It's like one of the lead characters have gone with the wind. Then Melissa and Mason And many others Glen from Mason is holding on but I take him only once every four years. Unless the sheriff demands otherwise. Ashley. Welcome to the Bill Cunningham show and actually go ahead. Really? How is it going today? I'm all pissed off. I'm Yeah, I spend my time pissed off watching news. I can't take it You don't want me to make for great radio, So I wanted to give you a call and give you a full report from the other CPS Columbus public school. That's where I teach Um, So we started with kids this week. And no one's coming, Willie. Why won't coming and I talked to Ah person yesterday. 200 kids a day are switching out of in person learning and signing up for Columbus is digital academy so they don't have to come to school. What does that tell you? It tells me that the the news media the Democrats have done a great job in convincing everybody that it's not safe to go to school. So teachers. They're in the building. We were always in yesterday and we're in, but there were no kids there. I was walking up and down the hall, and I didn't see a single classroom that had more than six. Maybe seven kids. Was it? Because of irresponsible parents or because they don't believe the science. You know, science matters. The liberals preached to us about science. I believe in science. I wear a mask. I wash my I believe it. I do it, but the science indicates that kids are better in school than out of school. And that's that That point is lost on the parents. It's lost. They're scared to death. We had conference night, the other night sauce doing those. And every parent that I spoke to was scared to death about sending their kids to school and I'm doing everything I can to reassure them that they're gonna be fine. My kids are in school. Find their healthy. They haven't gotten sick. No problems. They'll be fine. How many years? Actually, if you taught at CPS. Willie, This is year. 24. So you've seen a lot. I've seen quite a bit. Yep. Have you ever seen and your wildest imaginations and nightmares? A circumstance like this or the schools are not open and then they get open and the kids don't show up. Don't jump. Yes. Last year, Willie. I had 27 kids in my classroom and the way it works out now. I've got 16 with me online, but on Thursdays and Fridays, I'm only gonna have five kids. That's assuming everybody shows up. Assuming the Children want to learn online, and they have complete time and attention. If deficit issues that don't exist. Are you able to get a quality education sitting in front of a screen six or seven hours a day? Well, I certainly don't think so. My my kids. They're doing that right now and on 11 eyes on the computer and another either They're at their phone there. They're doing something different. That's not certainly paying attention. And so certainly you're not going to get a good of education online as you are in person. What happens when those Children have to compete at some point too good to be 14 18 20. And there's all bunch of Catholic parochial schools and charter schools that have an opening for the past six months. They're open last March and April and they're gonna stay open. What happens to the kids to come out of that dysfunctional environment? Yet, Willy. This is terrible to say, but I think it's the truth. They're not going to compete. And then those kids that are going to those Catholic schools are to the schools that are actually open. They're going to be the one Reporting those kids that by no fault of their own, they can't compete. They just can't. If you're not in school, you're not getting the kind of education that somebody's getting. That isn't full. You know, actually, if some kids 6789 years old It's kind of on the parents have some cows 13 14 16 18, that's on them. To an extent. Yes, Willy, But so many things that kids they learned their behaviors. There. There there a building or their desire to go to school that comes from their parents as well, and it's like the older they get. It's almost worse. It's almost worse. We had a lady called School the other day because her fifth grade son refused to get on the computer to do is work. She called. She was right beside him, and she wanted our principal. Force him to get on to do is work. Mom made that phone call. I'm spry shit in call 911. No doubt, no doubt and so actually just just think about two or three years from now. I mean the media and the Democrats want to keep the crisis going as long as possible. The Federation of Teachers in many urban areas say this thing will not be resolved till the toast September of 22..
